Honestly, I agree with the creepy part about making Jennika have more human traits. I still feel cringe whenever I see a picture of Venus in the Next Mutation series 🙃. I wish if I've been there in person to see the reaction of the cast when the person who suggested giving her turtle titties came up with that idea 💡😅.

I have so many thoughts on raph and Casey's relationship and how they would absolutely HATE eachother in the most homoerotic way.

So when I designed my version of a Rise!Venus, basing her off of Big Mama’s Assistant, I incorporated elements of the other two ninja turtles I knew of: Jennika and Slash. I didn’t want to make her “girl Leo” so she got a black mask. Assistant had those claw-like hands that felt reminiscent of Jennika, so I rolled with it, but I definitely still wanted her to be Venus.
And then a precious little pink baby came into the picture.
I don’t read the comics, but Lita is ADORABLE. I LOVE her. But her presence did throw a wrench into my amalgamation of an oc. Am I going to stop using my version of Venus? Absolutely not! But when faced with the opportunity to create a girl team I couldn’t pass it up, and despite my initial hesitation, making Venus a literal girl!Leo is hilarious, actually. “Disaster twins” is a fanon thing so let’s give Leo an actual twin.
She’d be voiced by Jenny Slate iykyk 😂😂

ugh, my Jenny and Vee brainrot is so real I love these girlies and I love my versions of them. ngl half of the genesis of my little sort-of-au was that I wanted them to interact and be Sisters bc we deserve turtle sisters. (since you asked me about my gowrls, I am now obligated to love you forever)
I sort of wound up basing them off more “typical” versions of Raph and Leo (and Jenny’s idw original natch) and building until they became their own thing
Jennika aka Jenny
she’s a Western pond turtle! and she is one bc I saw a picture of one while looking at different turtle species and thought there was a lot of design potential
the oldest turtle and mutated before all the rest. she was Draxum’s very first go at combining turtle and human DNA so she wound up a little “more turtle” than her siblings (i.e. she has claws on her hands and feet, she’s more cold-blooded)
the one and only Big Mama’s assistant and she is. So emotionally repressed, taking on a very “conceal, don’t feel” attitude while under Big Mama’s employment. she’s still just a teenage girl underneath all that, but actually letting herself relax enough to let it out will take time (luckily, she has some Very Teenage siblings to help her out)
she’s the tough, sardonic older sister the turtles never knew they wanted and that Jenny never knew she wanted to be

Vee’s a Chinese softshell turtle and the reason I made her one is a whole Thing itself, but I thought Donnie shouldn’t be the only softshell of the six
she was mutated before the boys, but she’s actually the same age as Leo and Donnie (Disaster Triplets hehe). she was Draxum’s “make sure I can replicate my results” turtle
she was raised by…well, that’s a secret for now, but it is someone from Splinter’s past that I saw an opening to do something unique with
she doesn’t have access to Hamato Ninpo, but she is Very Mystic
I’ve had a lot of fun making her Very Different than Jenny, but her and Donnie have also been a fun couple of opposites to explore (namely science vs. magic and their contrasting flavors of autism)

So given that the Rise of the TMNT crew confirmed that Big Mama's Bodyguard was supposed to be the Turtles' sister (and apparently not the only one)...

Anybody think that she was supposed to be Venus De Milo?
I kinda lean toward yes due to the admittedly minor reason of Venus' original appearance in The Next Mutation, to my knowledge, having her hooded for a lot of the pilot before revealing her identity.
It could also be Jennika admittedly, though I don't know the timeframe of when she was created nor when production on Season 2 started.

I haven't updated my book I'm writing so I think I should before there's a billion chapters to read. So I reintroduce my Gone but Never Forgotten AU from rottmnt. It starts at the beginning of the movie and moves on from there.

Anywho, I changed the title and picture from last time and in this AU we have a lot of people. So it has all four turtles with three extra future kids and extra siblings. Venus de Milo, Jennika, and Usagi (who actually have a show/appeared) are siblings (which yes I know Usagi isn't related to them but I do have an explanation on that) I have a oc named Dandelion and one more turtle, Lisa, from one of the comics. (Lisa is taken care of by Jennika) Now, here's some pictures for you guys.

Since I am procrastinating writing chapter three of Sunshine of The Woods (oof) here's the age order and species for TMNT: Solar Flare because I really wanna blab about this but also wanna keep it a secret so heres a little nugget of information
Leo: 16 (two hours older than raph), chinese box turtle
Raph: 16, wood turtle
Donnie: 15, philippine forest turtle
Mikey: 14, smooth softshell turtle
And when Venus and Jennika eventually come into the picture
Venus: 17, leatherback sea turtle
Jennika: 15 (four months older than Donnie), olive ridley sea turtle
Then theres 13 year old April O'Neil, the youngest in the group and honorary human. They're also nonbinary because I am nonbinary and I cannot be stopped :)

More Jennika and Venus Outfits!
Venus would probably join Raph and Leo in defeating Ghost bear while Jennika is her hype-woman. Venus wears the tutu to give the impression that she's delicate, only to kick some serious Ghost butt. Venus calls herself "Sugarplum" and Jennika calls herself "Yellow Jacket".
Jennika is a Avril Lavigne fan and that kind of music adds to the chaos to the band. Venus likes K-Pop.
Self Explanitory. It's their quarantine suits.
These were really fun to make. I took so many pictures of the boys' suits to get an idea how to how they look.
Did anyone notice that the siblings with secondary colors dressed fancy in that episode and the primary colors didn't? So, I decided to put Venus in a nice dress to look like she's wealthy.
In the comics, Jennika was a human before she was mutated into a turtle and she was blonde with blue eyes, and I decided to make her hair short. Venus has Hamato Yoshi's DNA, so I made her Japanese.
I'm not sure what villains Jenny and Vee are tagged-teamed with to defeat Big Mama's champions. Any ideas?

1.the lair is pretty elaborate. It’s a huge space that’s cut off from the rest of the sewers via a secret passage.
Takes bits and pieces from the 2012 and 2003 lair.
Their friend April has bought them a ton of furniture and little trinkets for the boys to spruce up the place.
The lair is decorated with fairy lights.
Two levels, level one includes, the kitchen, splinters dojo, Donnie’s lab and a pool. Level two has the boys rooms.
Leo’s room is the tallest, featuring pieces of wood leading all the way up to the ceiling where heat lamps shine down. He likes to lay on the wood and sunbathe. He has a comic book cupboard and a hammock. Little trinkets from various places.
Mikey has the biggest room since he’s a big boy. His bed is flat on the ground with a weighted blanket. His ceiling has heat lamps as well. He has an old tv that sits in the corner, a comic book cupboard and glow in the dark stars that glow at night when the heat lamps are off.
Donnie’s room is cluttered. Filled with random inventions and tons of informational books. He has a random assortment of technology lying around that he takes apart and puts back together in different ways. His bed his plain, but under it is filled with stuffed animals that April used to bring. A reminder that he was once a kid, and didn’t have the burden of leadership.
Raph keeps his room clean, except for his walls, which are covered in chipping paint and holes, from taking out his anger on them instead of his brothers. His bed is small and in the corner. He had a cupboard, with old picture and chapter books, video game cases and a few extra weapons just in case of an emergency. He has a lava lamp sitting on top of the cupboard, watching the lava helps him to calm down.
The dojo is simple and splint into 3 parts. That’s where the weapons are stored along with the turtles gear. Splinter sleeps in a separate part of the dojo and meditates in another part, filled with scented candles, light incense and low light.
2. The kraang have been secretly dumping mutagen into the water system to creat shredders army. His army includes mutant teenagers, same age as the turtles and older.
Including mondo gecko, tiger claw, fishface, rhazar, Venus and jennika.
Shredder uses the mutagen on himself and mutates into a demon like monster, he combines different animal DNA and mutagen and creates a new kind of mutation to himself.
3. Shredder is the main villain, along with the kraang. Shredder was splinters brother (not blood) growing up, he was abused mentally and physically, he was bullied and manipulated by the Hamato clan. Later he fell in love with the same woman as his brother, she loved his brother, and hated him. At this point, everything he experienced during his childhood was bubbling up, into a horrible anger. He found out the truth and killed his master. He killed his brothers lover and fled to America, not that Yoshi knew of his whereabouts.he went to college to study biology and chemistry. He started work as a scientist. He met the kraang in a mentally ill state, and joined forces with them. They created an army of mutants for him (who all started out as children) and provided him with as much mutagen as he needed. He was the face of this mysterious mutagen, and became very rich and famous for it. He transformed himself into a monster, losing his mind in the process. Only having the goal to wipe out the Hamato clan, including his brother.
4. as of right now no, unless you count Leo’s bonsai tree. But if the boys were to come across a stray, they’d definitely pick it up and take it home. But they’ve got a lot on their plate right now, with shredder trying to wipe out their existence and all 🙃

Started joining aggies in a discord server this month. I’m having fun, and slowly feeling confident to make bigger pictures. (And figuring out my colors from memory.) Still getting used to digital equipment. Mostly drawing Venus/Artemisia, Jennika and Lita (only human form so far.)
(one picture is Hob from IDW and Mrs Nubbins from Rottmnt with a HC that they were litter mates pre mutation)

The hidden 5th turtle in “Rise”
To the more casual or uniformed fans of the “Rise of the TMNT”, they may not be aware that we may have briefly been exposed to the fifth turtle sibling.
Apparently a cut episode for the shortened second season, due to the shows cancellation, or even a futures third season was to involve the reveal of a lost fifth turtle. this was even further hinted by a discord post by one of the creators, pictured below.
many fans speculate that is was meant to be revealed as Big Mama’s mysterious and little seen assistant(pictured above), who was planned to fleshed out more. the character does have proportions and a body shape very similar to the smaller three turtles bros, and even stranger is the turtle shell armor on their shoulder. they even also have three fingers, and the claws on them seem clearly to be armored parts of the cloves they wear.
Also while it is possible this planned intro was meant to be of one of the more wild turtle characters like slash or tokka, most fans theorize it would actually be one of the two known past female fifth members of the team; Venus de milo or Jennika.
I personally would much prefer it to be a newer, better written incarnation of venus. there is however evidence to suggest jennika as well, as both would start out as members of an antagonistic group beforehand. anyway, its fun to see that even if we never get a resolution to these plans or theories, the building blocks of them may already have been displayed for our eyes.
there may yet be a small ray of hope for this plotline, in the netflix movie related to the series set to air on netflix this year. part of the synopsis mentions a mysterious stranger from the future coming to wan the turtles. could this be the fifth turtle or is there no connection? we’ll have to wait and see.

So, I did some more thinking :D
Welcome in Venus, Jennika, and Lita.
Venus lived with Karai and Kai with the Usagi family. How did they get to Japan as a turtle tot? No one knows but they were found in a basket next to Kei and Karai. They were all three raised by Usagi Yojimbo soon moving to Antie's farm before he passed away. They became really close with Yuichi as the years passed. Venus is hard of hearing and the circle shaped are hearing aids from Karai.
Karai is into messing with machines and tech while Kai is the medic of the team they had. Venus, being a middle child, was some type of leader to the team. They mostly listened to her for guidance on fights. This caused an issue between Leo and Venus while trying to be a full team. Venus is sixteen with the twins and had claimed each other to be triplets. :D
Jennika was raised by Big Mama for as long as she could remember. She met Lita when she was thirteen taking Lita under her wing for guidance. Soon after a while Jennika thought of her as a daughter and so did Lita. Lita was about two when found and she's around six in the picture Jennika went with whatever the situation threw at her trying to plan accordingly.
Jennika's mysti/ninpo powers are clones, she can make clones of herself or others and use them to distract others. Venus can make barriers between or shields along with weapons for fighting. Karai can control different elements at will and make them appear out of thin air. Kai has a mixture of things collided into one thing, one being electric control.
Kai's ninpo, when half asleep/aware can take over subconsciously to try to protect them. Though it can hurt family and friends without realizing it.
Lita, although not a Hamato, was gifted ninpo abilities as a 'welcome to the family' gift by Gram Gram. Lita struggles to get a hold of it but has a bit of control. Her ninpo/mystic abilities are named, animation. She can draw with her fingers or hands a picture and make it come to life. Part of it is that she can make it disappear at will to where it never existed. Though until she's fully aware of it most of the time she accidentally makes and erases things.
