The heroic version of "Mother Knows Best" from Disney's Tangled is me singing it to my dog to reassure her during scary storms ("mother's right here, mother will protect you"), to convince her to not run off down the street with reckless abandon because she saw a small animal and slipped out of her collar ("mother knows best, listen to your mother, it's a scary world out there [. . .] skip the drama, stay with mama"), and to convince her to not eat random scraps of garbage at every opportunity.
. . . that last one requires more creativity, admittedly.
"Mother knows best / take it from your mumsy / eating that will make you sick. / Stomach pain and puke / an inflammed pancreas - yes / it'll mess you up quick! / Bits of plastic, tape / tons of toxic acorns / and some odd slimy . . . bone? / None of these are food / you're weird to wanna eat them / I'm just sayin' 'cause I wuv you . . ."

hii love! since u are so open and kind to answer any questions regarded to tibyim, i have one! feels like it was kinda obvious, but what was meant to be said in this part?
On your lengthy trek back to Hob’s flat, he asks, “Have you ever…?”
A gnawing pain ricochets through your chest. “Yeah.”
Hob appears crushed at your strangled admission, his voice gentle and kind, “Okay.”
hope this ask will reach u, since i bet u get quite a lot of them!! thank u so much and good good luck and lots of adoration<3
Pretty sure at least 1/4 of the messages I've gotten since part 9 dropped have all been about this moment.
And all I will say about it is: it's purposeful. Purposeful in its fragmented shortness. Purposeful in the very potent heaviness emitting from essentially three lines in over 8k chapter. I know what I intended to say with it (and I think certain people reading it will be able to as well, just based on emotions portrayed here alone), but I like to leave it up to reader interpretation.
In a similar manner, I have never outlined (or plan outline) the exacts of why Wanderer was cursed. You will get more information on the curse, and the individuals involved, but the exact details I like to leave up to you. That's mainly because I love the idea of each reader coming up with their own explanations, meaning that each version of Wanderer is just slightly different and unique. Very fitting to the actual character and the lore surrounding them.

What do you think about the prophecy? I see it as a lazy attempt to avoid writing about politics
originally I thought it was lazy and stupid for similar reasons as yours. Now however, while I can imagine the early Targaryens heading west instead of east due to a vision of the long night, I still think the execution is bs because the whole "secret from heir to heir" falls apart swiftly after Aenys death when it comes in canon. And even if we ignore the plot holes why did no one did anything about preparing the north? The only one who acted was alysanne and obviously no mention of prophecy was ever hinted in f&b.
I know George likes the idea. But the only way I can see it working is if the conquerors only knew. And years later Rhaegar found records about it. The whole "heir to heir secret" makes no sense narratively, it's clumsily written and not to mention it changes the entire dynamic the dance had in the original story.
The prophecy in the show serves as a guide and catalysts for the characters.
I guess I don't care that much about it anymore because the canon story, themes, and worldbuilding already get ignore in order for this fanfiction adaptation to make sense. So if they wanna play with this prophecy they might as well go for it.
my constant mood is just this:

on the topic of being an aunt, i do think there are people who wonder why she never had kids of her own ( there's always a tendency of them to not consider the fact that claire treats sherry and rani as her own regardless of the fact that they both have legal guardians ) and you know claire is absolutely the person who dismisses the kids questions with a polite smile, wave of hand and "it would clash with work". and it actually hurts more than she will ever admit because she's just so mother ( joke intended ) but there's never a right person or a right time, so that's something she just doesn't see having in this life.

forever in love with my headcanon of william studying the computer chips of the 80's and becoming obsessed with the idea of the animatronics having actual chips instead of rudimentary tech. massively improves his soldering and makes something without breathing a word of it to henry until he's practically done with it (because it has to be his, he wants that bragging point), and completely changing the face of the animatronics ( + this obv leads to the funti.mes in the end). spends so, so long perfecting it and testing it and than thrives off of the praise he gets for it, especially if from henry because Internalized Rivalry.
