First time reading dunmeshi I was so surprised with how quickly we got to the red dragon and resurrecting falin. I thought since it was *the goal* it would be an event on the nebulous horizon and then we're just already there and the dragon is dead and falin is back. And I was just huh? Already? Wasn't this supposed to be the end?

Then the rest of the manga happened.

And I started watching the anime and had the same feeling of huh? Already? In my mind we still had longer to go before the falin resurrection.

Somehow I still had the same feeling and was so unprepared.

But I should have known that by the end of the first cour it would happen. But it's so soon.

Narrative wise/ structure wise it makes sense but in my heart the falin resurrection was supposed to be like the halfway point if not the end but it's so soon?

are you not doing huevember anymore?

At the moment I’m taking a break because I’m really sick, but once I’m able to paint again I plan on getting back to it. Huevember is something I do in my spare time when I’m not doing work for my job and right now I have no spare time because I’m focusing on resting and trying not to throw up.

I’ll post day 13 at some point and then just keep the days going into December. Huevember is fun! It’s most fun when I get to paint consistently every single day. I’m waiting til I recover enough for it to be fun again.

You would think that some people would have the common courtesy to credit other people's art but in most cases they don't. Most of the time I think it is just out of pure laziness and not a malicious intent, so frankly it's not a big deal. I appreciate for letting me know about it and thank you for adding my handle in the comments. The best way to help with that is just comment my handle, that is all it really needs. Those who like the art and want to find more art will have the initiative to look for it if you just show them the way. No harassing or negative comments please, I find that petty. I guess in my part I will have to put my name on the art.

Vent and small announcement

Howdy guys, okay I'm just gonna jump straight into it just to sum it up, and say I'm going to take a weeeee break from the Psychonauts fandom for a bit. If you want to know why you can hit the read more

I can't really explain it but I've been getting a weird... "vibe"??? Or a feeling of some kind from the fandom for a good while now, and it's starting to get pretty bad now. I'm taking this chance to take a break from it so I don't completely lose my love for the series because I really do love these games.

This probably just the thing that happens to me with new fandoms, when it comes to the difference between fanon and canon for me. I think it could be just the huge difference between the two and its giving me whiplash (not literally) or something. Anyways, it makes me feel icky I guess.

It's funny though, because I've had a similar situation with the Bendy fandom a looong time ago, so this isnt anything new. Only it was the other way around. I was so obsessed with my fanon versions of the characters, that when I would go back to the original material, I'd feel weird about how different they were. I actually took a break from that one too and that's when I started really getting into the Zelda franchise.

Of course I then had a similar situation with the Zelda fandom, and then I went back to Bendy.... This is just a phase I have with all fandoms I become part of.

Its just my "Everything MUST be as CLOSE to CANON as humanly POSSIBLE" and my "OH but it'd be soooo cool if they were (insert headcanon) or they had (insert random detail)!" Mindsets battling it out and it tends to give me burnout A LOT and really stresses me out (for some.... reason...)

Its actually one of the reasons why I can never stick with a design for certain characters and why said designs are constantly changing. On the bright side this will give me a chance to expand my Zelda AU that I've wanted to do for a while!

It isn't a big deal, I'll still probably interact with some Psychonauts stuff, and you can still ask about aus and what not, but yeah. Just thought you should know!

Can I just rant for a second about how annoying and frustrating it is to wash your face and all that stuff while not being able to stand very long

I’m speaking directly from my own experience so this definitely isn’t how all disable people feel about this (obviously)

But I hate doing stuff where I have to stand at the sink. Brushing my teeth is miserable because I’m just leaning against a wall for however long, I almost never brush for a full 2 minutes. I’m not proud of it but I’ve only just gotten into the habit of brushing at least once a day because it’s so annoying and frustrating. (It’s also very loud and I hate toothpaste but that’s more autism stuff)

I only wash my face in the shower now cause you can’t really sit by the sink while washing your face, you have to be over the basin. My skin is not happy about this. And I only use a cleanser. Sometimes I use moisturizer but not often (I hate the sensation of it)

Just these small things are so annoying and inconvenient when you can’t stand for long.
