Im not sure if your requests are still open but if they are could I pls ask for Fuegoleon, nozel and nacht (or just fue and nozel) with a sweet and lovely s/o who is mute because of some trauma from before she started dating them and something happens like the boys save her or does something exceptionally romantic and s/o talks for the first time in years and it's his name?? It's so fluffy and cute I'm gonna combust >x<

Hiya anon! My requests are open so don’t worry! And Of course, and since you requested for 3 characters I’m going to assume these are Headcanons and not fics 😅. They aren’t really romantic but I do think/hope they are sweet, and I hope you enjoy!

Warnings: Mentions of Trauma and being Mute

Fuegoleon:

• Was a little worried when you wrote a letter to him, asking if it was okay if you went on a mission with him and his squad. He didn’t want you to get hurt, or for something on the mission to accidentally trigger your trauma. But after some persistence he reluctantly allowed her to tag along.

• He made sure to keep you safe the entire time. Even though you were mute you were still able to communicate your feelings to him through various means, whether it was sign language, body language, or by writing notes and letters. It took him a while to learn it all, but now was able to tell how you were feeling with ease.

• During the mission Fuegoleon left you alone for a moment to check on his squad almost as soon as he did the ground beneath you cracked and rumbled before splitting open. You watched the sky get farther and farther away as you fell further and further into the cracked ground. But before you could close your eyes and accept your fate you watched Fuegoleon and Salamander appear in the sky.

• The quickly flew down into the cracked ground with you and Fuegoleon scooped you up into his arms and held you close before Salamander flew you all out. Fuegoleon tried to comfort you as you shook in fright, this was one of the reasons he hadn’t wanted you to come along.

• “ F-F…ue…Fue…goleon.” The man in question blinked in surprise and looked down at you. You had tears in your eyes but a smile on your face. “ Fuegoleon…thank…you.” You continued to speak and Fuegoleon felt tears well up in his eyes. You had never spoken a single word since you two had been together, and now you did. He wrapped his arms around you in a tight hug.

Nozel:

• Nozel had been firm in not allowing you to accompany him on missions. You could get hurt or used as a hostage were his reasons. You pouted and signed to him about how none of those things would happen and that you could take care of yourself!

• Of course Nozel knew this too, but still he couldn’t help but worry. He loved you dearly and was very protective of you after you told him about the trauma you suffered that caused you to become mute. He didn’t want you to see or experience something that would make it worse.

• But finally he relented and allowed you to go on a mission with him. It was a small, easy one that had a 0% chance of you getting scared or injured.

• And yet even with that 0% chance you somehow managed to get lost. You hadn’t meant to get seperated from the squad. You walked and walked for what felt like hours before you finally stopped to take a rest. You wiped the frustrated tears out of your eyes and waited for someone to find you. After a minute you heard some twigs snap behind you, thinking it was a predator. You grabbed the nearest branch and swung at it with your eyes closed once it got near.

• You felt something grab a hold of the branch and you opened your eyes to see Nozel standing there with a worried expression. “ No…zel?” You said softly as the tears that had welled in your eyes earlier suddenly spilt over. Nozel looked at you in surprise. “ Noz…el.” You repeated and before you could say anything else Nozel grabbed you and wrapped his arms around you. He was so happy to hear you say his name for the first time. He softly told you that it was okay and that you were safe.

Nacht:

• Nacht wasn’t going to let you go out on a mission with him period. The missions he went on were particularly dangerous and he didn’t want you to get hurt. After you told him how you went mute due to trauma he made your safety and security his number one priority.

• Instead he decided to take you out on a scouting mission. It was simple, easy, and the two of you could get away from everyone for a short amount of time. Plus nothing eventful ever happened on them, aside from his Devil’s giving him a hard time.

• You and Nacht stayed hidden behind a group of rocks as you watched the targets move back and forth, Nacht quietly told his devils that they were to protect you at all costs if an enemy were to appear. Gimodelo began to tease him about it a bit before you pulled on Nacht’s sleeve to get his attention.

• “ N-N…Nacht.” You had whispered as you pulled on his sleeve. He and Gimodelo blinked and turned to look at you. “ N-Nacht…L…Look!” you whispered again and Nacht turned to look and saw a bunch of beautiful fireflies flying around them.

• But he couldn’t focus on that, because at the moment he was so happy and elated that you were able to overcome your trauma and actually say something. He suddenly pulled you into the tightest hug he could manage without hurting you. Seeing you come over your trauma and push past your limits gave him the hope that maybe he would be able to too.

It's been weeks since you received a letter from Bastard München, and you immediately agreed to join that club - it's been your dream for years, after all. But now that the day of your first practice with your new team is coming closer, your anxiety about it has been rising as well.

You're used to being the best player on your previous team, but you're well aware of how you're skill will only be seen as average among your new teammates.

And knowing the Michael Kaiser will be one of those teammates doesn't help your anxiety at all.

But surprisingly, the moment you enter the practice field, all of your anxiety is gone and has been replaced by confidence. You don't exactly know why, but it's nothing to complain about.

The coach isn't there yet, so you're just cluelessly standing around. A few of your teammates are on the field already, but none of them are paying attention to you so far. They probably noticed you already but don't know how to approach you, or simply don't want to.

Well, until two other teammates enter the field.

"No one told me we have a new one!" One of them yells excitedly while running up to you. The other teammate follows him, but he seems rather worried about how this interaction will go.

You know almost everything about Bastard München, so their names are no mystery to you. These are Erik Gesner and Benedict Grim.

"Hey, new one", Gesner reaches his hand out for you to shake. "What's your name?"

"(Y/N)", you answer during a somewhat awkward handshake. The only thing that makes it awkward is that Gesner is continuing it way longer than a handshake regularly is.

"Wow, nobody told us we're getting a new teammate", Gesner finally lets go of the handshake, "I'm Erik, and that's BeneDICKt", he points at Grim, who's only been observing the situation until now.

While Gesner laughs at his pun, Grim lets out a little sigh before turning to you. "I'm Benedict, but you can call me Ben." Then, he turns to Gesner and says "Also, I already told you to not introduce me like this anymore!"

"I don't care. It's funny. He probably thinks it's funny as well", Gesner says while first pointing at you, then he looks at you again, "You also think it's funny, right?"

"I guess...?" Is all you manage to answer before the rest of your teammates and the coach enter the field.

Your coach briefly introduces you to everyone, and then practice starts. It's a lot more difficult and exhausting than what you're used to from your previous team, but you're enjoying every second of it. After being the best for so long and slowly getting bored, now there are new challenges coming towards you.

But throughout the entire practice, you can't help but feel like none of your new teammates is actually interested in you being there. None of them talk to you and they don't pay much attention to you either. Well, except for Gesner and Grim.

It's only at the end of practice when two other of your teammates finally approach you.

"Hey there", Kaiser's voice immediately startles you. Out of everyone, he's the last person you would have expected to talk to you. And as always, he's accompanied by Ness.

You don't manage to get a word out, so Ness continues the conversation. "Welcome to the team! Your name was (Y/N), right?"

You're about to open your mouth to respond, but then Ness pulls you into a short but tight hug.

"I've got to admit, you did very well during practice", Kaiser continues speaking, "You seem to fit into the team, skill-wise. What's your position again?"

It takes a short moment for you to gather the right words to respond. "I'm usually a midfielder, but I've also played as a forward on my previous team."

"Great, that means we'll work together on the field!" Kaiser smiles and starts walking towards the locker room, so you and Ness walk along with them.

While walking, you continue your little conversation about positions on the field, which helps you get more confident around Kaiser and Ness. Just as soon as you enter the locker room, that conversation gets interrupted.

"Guys!" Gesner says excitedly and walks up to you, Kaiser and Ness. Kaiser's expression immediately changed to a less happy one.

"We're having another team hangout at the restaurant of Ali's parents later, are you coming as well?" Gesner continues and gestures over at Ali, who's currently packing up the rest of his stuff.

After Ness and Kaiser (slightly reluctantly) agree, you accept the invitation as well. After all, it sounds like a good way of getting to know your new teammates. Since most of them didn't seem interested in you during practice, you figured maybe it'll be different in a different setting.

And you were absolutely right about that. Hanging out with the team in the restaurant feels almost as if they're an entirely different group. It's much easier to talk to them and they show genuine interest in who you are. Although, a few of them (Igor, Bachman and Birkenstock) aren't participating in the conversations much. Sometimes they even seem annoyed, but only when Gesner makes another cock and balls joke. That's also something you're going to have to get used to.

But this was only your first day with the team, and you already feel very comfortable being with them. Joining Bastard München was the right choice.

The Captain and the Artificer meet late at night in the UES Safe Travels' bridge.

It’s late.

The Captain breathes a steady sigh through his temporal vents, worn boots thumping softly along the corridors of the UES Safe Travels. It’s been decades since he’d trodden these halls, and yet—he remembers every corner, every nook and cranny. She’s changed, of course. Like the leather of his soles, the hands of dozens of other captains just like him have molded her, shaped her. There are some new dents and scuffs that’ve been here for probably years, but feel as though they’d been made just yesterday. The Safe Travels is not just his first ship. It’s subjective, arbitrary in the way children have their seat in the classroom, but she is his ship.

The bridge is empty, not as always, but as its new natural state has evolved to become, and he straightens to fill it up some more. If he closes his eyes, he can still hear the ghostly chatter and bustle of the personnel fluttering about from console to console, the squeaks of the chair, the clatter of keystrokes. Upgrades over the years made them obsolete. The only thing the ship needed now was her Captain and a skeleton crew.

It’s not so much the fact that the presence of strangers is odd. The Safe Travels is a colony ship, after all. Her duty is to oversee a secure journey through the stars to any and all who sought them out. As the war spiraled on, there were thousands strong who fought to go, to hide themselves into her holds and flee into the stars. No, the Captain is no stranger to strangers. It’s the fact that there are so few that strikes him like the crash of a falling cymbal at an orchestra.

Alloy prosthetics creak and shift beneath his coat as he goes to stand before it. It’s strange. The starry void is not unfamiliar to him, and yet, when he stares into the cold space surrounding Petrichor V, he cannot help but feel terribly unknown.

“Captain?”

He lifts his chin from his collar. The Artificer glides from the doorway, jetpack humming away as her legs dangle in the air. The Engineer had done fantastic work on them—Not a complaint yet, he’s said—but old habits are hard to break, it seems. She never seems inclined to touch the ground with her spotless white boots.

“You’re”—out past curfew—“up late,” he says. He doesn’t move from his spot in front of the viewing port as she comes up behind him.

“I could say the same for you.” She perches on an empty desk beside him, gutted of its buttons and wires and monitors long ago. Such tactile means of control were no longer necessary in the age of holograms and projected displays and smooth, cold touch screens that did not always heed his metallic touch. Buttons and levers never discriminated against who used them. They never disobeyed their Captain.

The Artificer's smooth, unseeing visor turns to face him. The motion’s slight, and he gets the impression she’s glancing at him sidelong. “Star-gazing?” she offers.

“It doesn’t get old,” the Captain rumbles. “There’s always something new to see.”

“It’s beautiful.”

Does her suit, tidy and sleek like the new desks, ever fail her in its simplicity? Does it fail to recognize her? Surely not. She’d be dead innumerable times over if it did. He ought to have faith in this new technology—Nostalgia blinds his reasoning.

(It’s hardly ‘new’ anyway. The Artificer is almost as old as him, but her decades are lost to crystalline confines. War has not worn her down.)

“Yes,” he agrees. The soft green horizon of Petrichor V begins to glow along the edge of the viewport. “Are you much of a traveler?”

“I think I used to be,” she replies. Her low voice softens as she continues. “The House was generous, but I always yearned for more.”

“I’m sure that’s precisely what made you a suitable candidate.”

She chuffs a little. “Amongst other things. What about you? Was it ever an acquired taste?”

“No,” says the Captain. “I never was meant to stay in one place forever. I’m certain I was put into this world to fly a ship through the stars.”

“That’s awfully confident.” It’s not a compliment. “What if you can’t?”

“Then I am nothing.”

A lull, during which Petrichor V further creeps across the display, unassuming and gorgeous as kudzu and ivy.

“It’s admirable,” says the Artificer, “your confidence of your place in the universe. But no one is one piece of many, scattered with a single purpose to just be a piece. You’re a Captain to the people, too. You must be a friend to many. That’s not ‘nothing’—or else it’s a lonely life you live.”

He turns to her, then, but she’s not looking at him. She’s caught the stars in her visor, beyond Petrichor’s monstrous size choking the rest out. He wonders what she’s seen.

“My taste was acquired,” she begins. “I wanted to explore, yes, but—there was always that edge to overcome. Being afraid of the unknown, rather than awed. The House guided me over it. And I think—I always knew I wanted to become a herald for the House. But it wasn’t until I set foot onto Petrichor that I realized what it meant to truly burn for exploration. I had to be dragged away from every new place we visited, and I kept a journal of every stone, every new plant, every animal, every monster. I’m sure there are hundreds I missed. We weren’t there for long when—”

Her voice vanishes. Petrichor V dominates the viewport, and it will be this way for the next few days as the UES Safe Travels orbits it, held tight in its suffocating gravitational field.

“I kept a journal,” she starts again after a taut pause, “I don’t remember what was written, only that it was written. And… it was taken elsewhere”—bitter, longing—“when I was trapped within the crystal. I do not know where it might have gone.”

“A shame,” the Captain says, and it is. “Losing a journal is losing your own story.”

“How many journals do you have, Captain?”

“Dozens. A hundred, maybe.” All tucked on his bookshelf, some leather-bound, some mere pads, one a hefty, padlocked book. It’s his first. The key remains tucked against his chest on a chain hidden beneath his coat, vest, and shirt.

“What do you write about?”

Not quite everything. But he can’t rightly say, ‘What matters to me.’ A Captain needs everything to matter lest it be lost to the void. “The people I’ve met. The new things I’ve touched, smelled, seen. The ship, her health. My own, as well.” No Captain survived for more than a decade if they ruminated in their head all the time.

“Perhaps a story?”

“Thousands.”

“I’d like to hear them someday.” She pushes off the desk and starts floating back to the door. “Let’s talk more another time,” she says over her shoulder. “Truly, I’d like to listen to your stories. But, of course—it’s past curfew, Captain.”

So she is a bit of a whip. “So it is,” he chuckles. “Goodnight, then.”

“Goodnight, Captain. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Then he is alone.

It’s late.

So there's debate abt what Serena's career cuz they leave it open ended. With some schooling, her being a publicist makes some sense. Her running a blog makes sense. To me what makes the most sense was Serena as a model. She's got all the qualifications (she's gorgeous) and travelling is what she'd do too. don't know why they didn't explore. Plus Jenny as a designer, Blair as an editor and Serena as model. The trifecta. what do u think?

i get why you say that and i think it’s super valid!! that said, i wanted serena’s future to involve her like, either leaving the UES. or if she stayed in NY, living a life entirely on her own terms. i love what this anon sent to gossipgirls, and her response to them, and i’ve added what i wanted for serena’s future in the tags!!

I think what you said makes sense in the spirit of s6, but I don’t really like where s6 took the charcter arcs as a whole? like serena being a publicist or a model or a blogger all do make sense but at the same time, i think at various points in the show we see why these aren’t really healthy choices for her - serena very much needed to like, be able to see herself and understand herself AS herself, as serena, and not as Serena van der Woodsen, It-Girl, THAT girl, Golden Girl, The Girl Who Everyone Is Talking About, etc. and we see at various points during her arc that this Idea of Serena everyone has is just so big and so vast that it often just leaves serena trying to fill in the shoes of something she isn’t (+ something that one person can Never be.)

it makes sense to me in the context of s6 because i think everyone regresses tons by the time the finale rolls around. none of them wanted to grow up to be their parents, yet all of them did. blair running waldorf designs, nate being a politican, chuck being into real estate and being as whatever as his dad was... and then characters like dan and jenny who are literally where they were in s1, dan looking for something in serena that i don’t think he is going to find in her, jenny working for blair, j for waldorf, like... ?? like this is literally your s1 arc, jenny! why are you doing all this all over again!

so given that, i feel like serena choosing a career which would focus on Her Image and Her Persona For The Public makes sense in s6 because the season finale fucked everyone over. i don’t personally think these endings would be healthy for serena, but that’s SOLELY because i think she needed to understand who she was in a way that wasn’t shaped by people around her and how they perceieved her, and i don’t want to like, seem like i’m being shitty about your headcanons, i just have strong (& opposing) feelings about it.

Best NXT Matches of 2020 20-16

Johnny Gargano vs Leon Ruff vs Damian Priest - North American Title - Takeover War Games

Gargano tried to use lil Leon Ruff as fodder so he successfully defend a title for the first time in his career, but lil Leon Ruff upset him and won the NA title in his very first match. Priest got involved in their rematch to fuck with Johnny and before we know it, we have a triple threat. Johnny and Priest want the belt back and Ruff wants his respect.

Johnny shows his experience early, superkicking Priest out of the ring and trying to catch Leon with flash pins. Priest eventually makes his way back in and shows off his power. I love Priest’s interactions with Ruff because he really views him as a kid and doesn’t want to hurt him, but Ruff wants to be viewed as a legit competitor, so he brings the beast out of Priest (LOL). That beast tosses Ruff with a Razor’s Edge through the plexiglass barricade and Ruff is taken to the back to put his body back together. Priest and Gargano have a really good back and forth until Ruff makes his comeback with high flying. There’s a great spot where Priest is tied up in the ropes and Gargano puts Ruff in Gargano Escape right in front of him. A bunch of Gargano’s ghostface buddies interfere and Priest does two crazy sentons to dispatch them all, but he gets clocked by one that has a steel pipe. With priest dispatched, Gargano superkicks Ruff and hits the Final Beat DDT to win his third North American title. Really fun action and some great character interactions. The North American Title is 5 for 5 on Takeovers this year.

Pete Dunne vs Kyle O’Reilly - Ladder Match for War Games Advantage - November 25

Is there a such thing as a ladder match sprint? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a ladder match worked at such a fast pace, because stipulation matches are usually treated like epics with a lot of time. Seeing Pete Dunne so svelte is still jarring to me, but I’m happy to say it has no effect on his wrestling ability and he’s still fantastic. They both use the ladder to assist them in submission attempts, which is great psychology. They’re still sticking to their formulas, just incorporating a ladder. Dunne wraps Kyle’s arm around the ladder while he bends his fingers and then he puts the ladder leg on top of Kyle’s hand while he climbs. Kyle gives Pete dragon screws through the ladder rungs. They have some crazy ladder bumps, like Dunne powerbombing Kyle onto a ladder and Dunne suplexing them both through a bridged ladder. They still stick to their bread and butter of strikes and limb torture and they have a fun spot where they tug of war pull each other into the ladder. Dunne gives Kyle a Bitter End on the barricade then jets in the ring and that feels like the true ending, but Kyle is still alive and stops it. Thats the only time that their fast pace works against them because that would’ve been a great finish and Kyle’s no-sell hurt some drama. Kyle pushes Dunne onto a ladder, but A MYSTERY MAN knocks Kyle off the ladder and Pete is able to give The Brand the win. They incorporated their styles really creatively with the ladder and worked a blistering pace.

Io Shirai vs Candice Lerae - Tables Ladders and Scares Match - Women’s Title - Halloween Havoc

Halloween Havoc makes it return to the wrestling world after 20 years of dormancy. This was the deserved main event and its a great match that continues the trend of Io’s TV matches being better than her Takeover matches. They worked their Takeover 31 match to greatness, but it was structurally limited. Here, they have more fun and its a better match. Candie finds a bag filled with a bunch of chopped up limbs that freak her out. So Io grabs the body parts and beats her with him lmao. That’s a funny part, but its a pretty brutal match. They wack each other with chairs, Io misses a moonsault and lands on a gang of chairs, and Candice delivers a neckbreaker through double tables. The ending involves the mysterious Ghostface character (very disappointing reveal) that helped Johnny Gargano earlier that night and begins the genesis of the Candice vs Shotzi Blackheart feud. Great fun match.

Adam Cole vs Tommaso Ciampa - NXT Title - Takeover Portland

This is the match that kinda “exposed” the “formula” of NXT main events being structured a relentlessly epic and dramatic to the point of overkill. Ciampa takes a Panama Sunrise on the floor that realistically should end the match especially considering Ciampa just returned from a neck injury that had him out for about six month. But not only does this not end the match, Ciampa proceeds to kick out of numerous finishers, fight off the Undisputed Era, and generally be a seemingly indestructible badass. Its overkill to the highest level, it broke my suspension of disbelief and yet, I still think its a great match. Ciampa has a great performance and the fans are crazy behind him, which is outrageous considering he was the most sinister heel in NXT’s history just two years earlier. It’s intense as hell and even though they broke reality, I still was super into the drama down the stretch. We’ve seen four Takeovers since this one and none of the main events have attempted to replicate this kind of grandiose type of match. Your mileage may vary.

Imperium vs Undisputed Era - Worlds Collide

For a card as good as Worlds Collide, it feels super forgotten because it was instantly overshadowed by the Royal Rumble and Takeover Portland, then the world descended into….the world we have right now. This main event was a collision between two dominant factions that can all wrestle like hell. Things start a little plain which is kind of a downside of having a bunch of white dudes who are all variants on being efficient good wrestlers (outside of Walter). A stiff kick from Bobby Fish legitimately KOs Alexander Wolfe and I hate to sound insensitive, but….its exactly what the match needed. Wolfe’s KO makes it a handicap match and it becomes a really interesting dynamic where The UE assume the true heel role and it makes a Walter hot tag the most anticipated part of the match. That hot tag lives up to the expectation I had and seeing him mow through the UE is crazy entertaining. The sequence between O’Reilly and Walter is awesome and ends with a Walter German suplexing Kyle AND Roderick Strong. And as awesome as Walter is, Roderick Strong might be the MVP of this match. He has an exhilarating chopfest with Walter and down the stretch he Olympic Slams Walter though an announce table. The whole match gets more creative and crazier down the stretch. In the end, Walter kills Bobby Fish with a powerbomb and Imperium gets the victory in this great main event.

This is gonna be hard, where do I even start?

1) Keith (Voltron: Legendary Defender)

Okay I'm- trying not to laugh too hard because oh boy, this show was a complete mess. BUT Keith still stays as one of my favorite characters ever just because no matter how badly I was hurt by vld he'll always be precious to me 💖 He's hotheaded, cool and a lone wolf, but needs affection more than anyone else on the team. He's easy for me to relate to as I am more likely to push someone away than to keep them close just to avoid being hurt as well. His development is amazing tho and I love love him so much 😭 also it might be just that I have a soft spot for emo characters lmao

2) Todoroki Shoto (Boku no Hero Academia)

This just reinforces my statement earlier since Todoroki is pretty emo too :') But in a different way than Keith. If you are a part of bnha fandom you know he's generally a little bit overrated, but I couldn't help falling in love with him at first sight anyway lol His backstory is tragic but he keeps pursuing his dream and damn is he good at it. Also the combo of fire and ice is aesthetic goals. However, what I admire the most about Shoto is probably his loyalty to his friends, his will to fight and sometimes his goofy attitude (even if he probably isn't aware that he's being goofy lol) In conclusion: I love him, let's move on.

3) Uenoyama Ritsuka (Given)

Can I just stop to say how much I love given for a moment? Like I've never seen a bl anime/manga that would portray gay characters so respectfully 😭❤️ Ue is basically me gay panicking, I feel the boy so much :') OH also what's up with gays & guitars bc first given, then why r u and now also 2gether :') (I might be falling in love with this trope help) okay so: Ue is panicking when he starts liking Mafuyu but he handles it so well in a way? He doesn't deny his crush even if he is slow to notice it lol He's straightforward and sometimes a little bit rough around the edges, but even if he's supposed to be "the cool guy" we see him in the most hilarious settings and that just makes me love him all the more 💖 he respects Mafuyu and his boundaries and I want more of that in bl anime please

4) Eiji & Ash (Banana Fish)

Uhhhh this anime,,, I CANNOT choose between Ash and Eiji, I'm gonna forever see them as a pair and that's simply it. Ash is another emo one I would like to say that but he's actually not. He's backstory is heartbreaking and the life he has to live is dangerous and scary. He gets used to this reality where he has no one to rely on and no one to trust but then Eiji appears tearing his walls down and making him finally be able to show his soft and sensitive side to someone. Eiji is like a salve for his wounds and yes, I'm still emotional about it bc their relationship is one of the best developped I've ever seen. Their bond is so strong it's beautiful, they would literally die for each other. It's so apparent that they love each other and care for each other so much (don't mind me crying in the corner)

5) Percy Jackson (Percy Jackson & the Olympians)

PJ technically got me into fantasy/sci-fi in elementary school and it stays at the top of my favorite book series list ever (big props to Uncle Rick 👏) The whole series is funny and I would say pretty light-hearted even tho you know,,, Percy saves the world several times, lol, usual demigod things™. He's lovable. Son of Poseidon so he has seaweeds instead of a brain (or so you thought, he is brilliant at strategic planning and has a charisma to be a great leader), has a very good sense of humor, is loyal and would risk everything for his friends. Also he loves his girlfriend very much and I was crying while reading the House of Hades but no one needed to know that oh well. I'm also gonna mention Nico de Angelo here, since he fell in love with Percy (didn't we all tho) and was the first gay character I saw portrayed in the book and oh do I love him 😭💖

6) 707 (Mystic Messenger)

Was I losing sleep over this game? I was. Do I regret anything? Absolutely not. I think my choices are pretty boring tho, since Seven is literally everyone's favorite but oh boy there's a reason for that. Apart from being a talented hacker who knows too much (and I think is cautious of us the most at the start) he has a lovely happy-go-lucky personality composed of all the lame jokes, questions "have you eaten already" and anxiety (another emo one). He's that type of a character who will always try to make you laugh but you never know what's going on inside his head. He's mysterious and we don't get to know him well till his route so pretty much till the end of the game lol. Also he loves his brother, phd pepper, honey buddha chips and Elizabeth 3rd the most in this entire world and I love him for that

7) Evan Hansen (Dear Evan Hansen)

ANOTHER EMO ONE okay but hear me out Evan has social anxiety and its portrayal is almost too real for me. He makes a big oopsie which at the start seems like a little innocent lie but then snowballs to enormous sizes. He gains everything in this bargain, a best (dead) friend, a caring mother, a father, a girlfriend even - and then everything falls apart since it all is built on one fat lie. He makes a lot of mistakes and then some more but you get it and you feel for him, and you cry with him and you're happy for him. And when all of this is over you're glad that he's still there trying his best, taking it one day at a time. And sidenote: Ben Platt's voice is angelic and I love him as Evan 💖💖💖

8) Isak (SKAM)

Another gay panicking one. I'm starting to realize there's a set of traits that I particularly like in fictional characters lol But ye, when I was watching skam ofc it was the third season which gripped me the most and kept me on the edge, bc yet again Isak taking an "are you gay" test was way too real for me. He makes a lot of mistakes along the way of figuring out his sexuality and sometimes stuff with Evan becomes really messy (for both of them) but he stays with him nevertheless ❤️ Skam is literally so good in its portrayal of the characters :') Anyways: alt er love 💖

9) Viktor & Yuuri (Yuri on Ice)

Em, another one that I absolutely can't break up to just one bc how could I? Yuri on ice got me into skating ❤️ I went to an ice rink for the first time bc of this anime and I almost died but now look at me actually finishing my first three months of ice skating training and watching real life figure skating competitions :') Little did I know then. But they're not only my favourites bc of that, I genuinely love the development of their relationship from fan - idol through skater - couch to lovers and history makers in the end. I love how Yuuri is a ball of insecurities and how Viktor manages to reassure him. I love how Viktor fell in love with drunk Yuuri clinging to him. I love how at first Yuuri wasn't able to get too close to Viktor without getting flustered and it changes so drastically to them basically always holding onto each other. I love how Viktor was stuck with no inspiration but then Yuuri came and turned his world upside down. I love how they support and respect each other. I could probably go on into eternity like that and Yuri on ice isn't even the best anime I've ever seen but it's certainly my favourite one ❤️

10) Tutor (WHY R U)

I can't believe I'm so obsessed with thai dramas rn and I'm only gonna include Tor on this list smh He's mental attitude inspires me. He's able to hold so much and appears totally unfazed even if he's barely holding on inside. He's hardworking and doesn't want others to pity him since he can manage it all just fine. He has a kind heart, he's a wonderful friend (especially to Hwa, he always listens to her, gives her pieces of advise, supports her and tries to cheer her up). He never forgets to say thank you when he genuinely feels grateful. But as we've seen he also is passionate and when he loves he LOVES. Also he's the biggest tease to Fighter and I love him for that :') I am so satisfied just by seeing him happy, please do not change that whyru gods 🙏

As it appears I'm done .-. I have no idea what have just happened and if my rambling even makes sense but not that I care at this point. If you read this far, please drink some water now, that was a lot of reading to go through ❤️

Kyle O’Reilly – Undisputed Era’s Next Breakout Star

With WWE NXT’s New Year’s Evil fast approaching, it’s time to look back at Kyle O’Reilly’s breakout performances of 2020, which saw his incredible rise as a singles competitor.

Absent from screens for a significant portion of the early stages of the pandemic, O’Reilly eventually returned to the ranks of the Undisputed Era (UE).

Developments were brewing such as their long-term feud with Pat McAfee but also a welcome singles push for O’Reilly, who was finally being given the opportunity to break away from tag-team pursuits.

On 23/09/2020, O’Reilly was one of five competitors in a Gauntlet Eliminator match where the winner would go on to face Finn Balor. Initially squaring off against Kushida, the two grappling experts put on a technical display until Bronson Reed entered and began to dominate.

Though the Thicc Boi put in a spirited effort, it was O’Reilly’s night as he outlasted and eliminated all but one of the other competitors to earn an opportunity to face Balor at NXT Takeover 31. Poor Grimes – he’s yet to win a title and take it to the moon like he’s promised on several occasions.

In a match that should be in wrestling Top 10 lists everywhere for 2020, O’Reilly and Balor went to war in Takeover 31’s main event. What stood out most was O’Reilly’s natural transition as a singles competitor. The storyline that this was his first solo main event was sold well.

It was understandable that “nerves” would factor into proceedings, especially when he was initially outclassed. Balor took advantage and humorously locked O’Reilly’s arm while playing air guitar with it. But from there, O’Reilly rose to the challenge and answered Balor’s offence with his own. Their strikes looked and sounded painfully realistic. O’Reilly’s striking game was on point, looking just as devastating when applied to a singles match as it is when used in tandem with partners Fish or Strong.

The decision to work a stiff style was not without consequences. One spinning back kick to O’Reilly’s mid-section appeared to legitimately wind him. It was later confirmed that the liver shot injured him. Later reports revealed that errant strikes fractured Balor’s jaw in two places while O’Reilly suffered some broken teeth.

Despite criticisms for working unsafe, their match deserves praise for being brutal without resorting to being a spot-fest and should definitely have gotten people to take notice of NXT again.

In an era with limited or, in some places, zero crowds, Takeover 31 was one of NXT’s best PPVs and almost on the level of their pre-COVID Takeovers. The card was tight and O’Reilly almost stole the show with his performance in an instant classic.

Seizing the momentum from this, O’Reilly delivered further displays of brilliance in the Wargames PPV. O’Reilly started things and at 45:01, he did what no other member of UE could do, ending the match by hitting a leaping knee onto a chair on Oney Lorcan’s face to earn the 3-count.

Following this MVP-level showing, O’Reilly faced the Bruiserweight on 16/12/2020. This had a big-match feel; on the one hand because it was for the #1 contender opportunity but also as they unflinchingly stared each other down while chaos unfolded around them. Despite poor camerawork capturing a Pete Dunne pump kick not even connecting with O’Reilly’s face, this was mostly a wrestling masterclass. Hard-hitting throughout, it was again O’Reilly’s leaping knee – this time to the back of the neck – that would see him prevail and earn yet another opportunity for the title.

O’Reilly is poised to face Balor once more at New Year’s Evil on 06/01/2021. Their promo work has been amazing with Balor insisting this won’t be a trilogy while O’Reilly continues to show that he is deserving of being in the picture of championship contention.

How will things play out?

Undisputed Era previously fulfilled their prediction in holding all the gold in NXT, matching a feat that Evolution once achieved in years past. When Orton eventually won the WWE Heavyweight Championship, he was dumped unceremoniously from the stable.

Could New Year’s Evil be where O’Reilly or Cole are booted from the faction?

What’s been consistently great is that Undisputed Era, and indeed Cole, have been subtle in any hints at where they could go. There haven’t been many visible signs of a lack of unity. Perhaps a slight look of envy on Cole’s part as he was positioned at the edge of their ranks when they strolled to the performance centre for Takeover 31. Cole remained silent while Fish and Strong no doubt gave words of encouragement to the stoic O’Reilly.

Cole was also at the rear of their party as they escorted O’Reilly to the match but still said he loved him and it was his night.

When Velveteen Dream taunted Cole on the NXT episode of 23/12/2020, he told Cole that the mighty had fallen and Kyle was now head of the Undisputed Era. He responded by slapping Dream while claiming that there was no leader of the group.

Challenging Cole’s position could result in a storyline jealousy angle to ignite a rivalry between him and O’Reilly.

WWE has a tendency to fast track talent to the main roster so this could be one way they split up the Undisputed Era. But with UE being the best stable in NXT, it would be unwise if they were to disband the faction especially with their popularity still red-hot.

Though with Cole being transitioned to compete in the Dusty Rhodes Classic, there’s hope that Undisputed Era will remain united for some time to come.

What’s likely is that interference from Cole and/or the returning Karrion Kross will factor into the ending, leaving Balor as the victor. It could be played as unintentional on Cole’s part with the misunderstanding or miscommunication laying the seed for a future falling out while still protecting O’Reilly.

Kross is being booked to be Balor’s main challenger but with this much talent vying for the prize, perhaps they could have a 5-way match featuring Balor, O’Reilly, Cole, Dunne and Kross at the next Takeover.

Whatever happens on 06/01/2021, the following is certain. While 2019 was the year of Adam Cole, 2020 and perhaps now the early stages of 2021 are Kyle O’Reilly’s.

Much like Roman Reigns’ prolonged absence from screens, the wise decisions to reboot both characters on their returns has yielded fantastic results. The consistency of his star-making performances has seen O’Reilly become the next breakout star of the Undisputed Era and hopefully NXT will continue his push as he is ready to hold more than tag-team gold.

A sneezy OC introduction

Until now I somehow forgot about this- but I thought it would be nice to write a bit about each of my OC´s sneeze related things. I´ll start with my oldest ones and end with the newest. :3

This is going to be long af for being pure self-indulgence but you can always scroll down to the character you like the most. xD In case you want to know more or look at their art/read some stories: If the tags work right all should be found by searching my blog for the OCs name. :)

Lillandlian:

He has a distinctive photic sneeze reflex due to his unique, pallid complexion and the fact that he has lived in a deeply shaded forest. If not in complete shadows he´ll sneeze right after waking up, when passing through rays of bright sunshine or from looking directly into any radiant source of light. Quick changes in light-and shadow ratio can trigger a sudden release as well.

Those forced photic reactions tend to be quicker and less drawn out than his regular sneezes. For example a sudden yet forceful: “heh-PTSCHieh!” Due to his unique link with nature the druid is also oversensitive to any kind of air pollution (smoke, ashes,...). This can cause prolonged fits and even breathing troubles. Lillandlian is also prone to catch colds and vulnerable to cool weather and chills. His cold sneezes tend to be more drawn out, come in multiples and rise from deep out of his fused lungs. His regular sneezes are very wet and spraying already and things can get very messy when he´s sick. Generally he does his best to keep them as quiet and polite as possible- giving them a softly spraying, yet forceful kind of tone. This won´t work when his nose is affected very badly- they´ll burst out unrestrained, loud and thus embarrass him even more than his regular ones. The sounds are all wet, spraying with a lot of force behind and often ending with a higher pitch. Mostly expressed in one or two syllables but rarely in three. ”hhh-TDZSSSSCHiieh!”, “ hah-IDZSCHHIIIEW!” Stifling them always hurts and needs lots of effort but he will do so to be unobtrusive and considerate despite his discomfort. Telling him to stop will secretly relieve him a lot. The centaur always tries to shield or angle them away from people and prefers to safely release sneezes into a handkerchief. If nothing else is available he´ll sneeze against his bare forearm, wrist or into his hands. Feeling or seeing his own spray makes him cringe and shutter though. He will bless other people with: “May Acacia bless you!/Acacias blessings be with you!” or simple “Blessings to you!/Bless you!” -referring to the goddess of nature and creation and wishing the other health in that way. Lillandlian will be very flustered after sneezing himself and apologize.

Shokhrakka:

Is sensitive to certain flowers and healing herbs. They will make his nose itch and tingle for a while before the teasing grows into a more pressing need. At that point his nose will be utterly swollen shut and they´ll burst out suddenly. With a lot of force behind.

There´s not too much actual voice in them but a snarling, deeply growling quality mixed with the distinct sound of air rushing by mighty tusks. The kind of release that vibrates through ones chest and scrapes the throat a bit. Also they´re really loud and tend to startle others. They mostly happen in singles but a very persistent tickle can cause a double with a stray third trailing behind. They mostly sound like: “Huhhr-ERZSSCH-UE!”, “HEH-HURRZSCHH-ah!” Changing or cleaning his several nose piercings can cause a sudden and powerful reaction too. The big Orc is rarely sick and generally not prone to any kind of infection. Shokhrakka is not considered to be a sneezy person and has no other sensitivities. He´s simply angling his head to an unoccupied side or will sneeze down towards the floor- not being rude on purpose but simply not thinking further about the matter. Surprisingly he always carries a handkerchief with him in case he needs to blow his nose. If another person sneezes he´ll mostly ignore it but is more attentive to people who are close to him. Then he´ll make sure that the sneeze is not caused by any kind of discomfort. And in case it was: Find a way to ease it.

Marya:

The Alchemist is allergic to a flower that´s simultaneously an important medical ingredient called pale nightingale. It´s pollen or crushed petals will cause an instant and strong allergic reaction expressing itself in multiple wet, desperate sneezes. And a clogged or streaming nose as well as badly tearing eyes. Generally her sneezes are pronounced softly: There´s a wet, mellow sound in them even in the bigger ones and they´re mostly voiced and blended together as one syllable, very rarely two. They come in rapid, spraying multiples that have a distinct “girlish” pitch and ending. “apTSCHIU! -TSSCHih! -ahTSSCHIEW!” or “ Ah~PTSCHiih!- IZSCH-uh!- TDSCHiuh!”

They´re neither very loud nor very quiet and almost never stifled. She´d only restrain them to avoid sneezing on somebody or infecting another person. Marya tries to cover with a handkerchief or something else available. She is thoughtful about germs and careful not to cause others harm. Yet sneezing is a completely natural thing to her and normally no cause of embarrassment or stress.

She also has the kink and very much enjoys most sneezes of other women. Especially those from her girlfriend Amaziah. In that relationship Marya has fantasies about being sneezed on and inducing the Archmage in various scenarios.With the later both have had a surprising amount of fun and excitement already. Although not a necessity for fun sneezing does play a big role in her sexuality. Maryas overall constitution is very sturdy and healthy though she´s prone to falling sick when overworking herself over a long period of time. Or after taking care for Amaziah- because despite knowing better she´s adamant in cuddling and keeping comfortingly close to her girlfriend. There any shared intimacy and care is worth a possible contagion in her opinion. She´ll mostly wish the other “Gesundheit!” after a sneeze but will vary with “Bless you.” or exclusively to Amaziah the elven “Anvael ci na´eve.” from time to time.

Amaziah:

Is a rather sneezy person and hates every bit of it. She´s a highly decorated leader that personally emphasizes a lot on self-control, manners and ever present strength. So when her body is “disfunctioning” like this it makes her feel angry, annoyed and embarrassed in company. This is why she´ll try to fend off the inevitable multiple releases as best as possible when others are in vicinity. That works only for a while though. If she´s forced to give in she´ll try to stifle them with cruelly pinching her nose. The action is hurtful, full-bodied but mostly silent. Sometimes the restraint fails and is painfully audible: “-kdnxxt-ugh” or like “Hah-kngxt-uh”. Her natural sneezes are clearly vocalized and mostly separated in two or three syllables: The first distinctly stressed, the middle a deep, harsh and throat scraping sound and the third again rising in pitch and vocalization. Also very loud and a bit achy for her chest: “ Hah-ERRSCHH-hue!”, “huh-AERSSCHH-ah!”. Amaziah has severe dust allergies and is suffering from a strained physical constitution that makes her fall sick often and easily. In addition to that she´s mostly unable to get the much needed rest and thus her condition worsens despite healing potions. She does hate it when others acknowledge this or react to her sneezing which is why most people have given up on it. They get the dreaded and very intimidating “How dare you!” stare if they dare to offer a blessing. This does not include close people or her girlfriend Marya however: While Amaziah had felt embarrassed and shy about the matter of sneezing at the beginning of her relationship she´s now fine with it as long as both are in private. She even enjoys inducing for her but struggles with the concept of actually sneezing freely.

The Archmage prefers to turn aside and muffle them securely into a silk handkerchief or the crook of her arm. Normally she does not offer any kind of blessing because she things it would make others as uncomfortable as herself. She may make an exception for Marya though: “Anvael ci na´eve.” Amaziah is afraid of germs and thus always aiming for good hygiene in both ways. She´s struck with quite some persistent stuck sneezes and false starts from time to time.

Azra:

Does share some sensitivities regarding certain flowers and healing plants with her half brother. They cause a lingering, buzzing sensation inside her nose that soon spreads to a full faced tickle and discomfort. She´ll try to harshly rub it out of every offended place which will cause her eyes to water even more. She mostly doesn't mind rubbing, grinding or even wiping her nose against her palm or back of the hand. Her nose responds with a lot of visible crinkling and flaring nostrils when teased. Other than those triggers she also has a slight sensitivity to dust. It doesn't bother her much in small portions but can trigger some impressive sneezes when she´s exposed to bigger amounts over time. Azra is not sick too often but when it hits her it´s usually doing so in a hard, unforgiving fashion. She´s not too good with taking care of herself and tries to hide any discomfort since being sick is could be equalized to a weakness she can´t really afford. Generally her casual sneezes tend to come in doubles with the occasional triple. Her pre-sneeze face and build up are rather expressive and involve a lot of snarling, fang baring and possibly a few irritated hitches that grow in strength and audible depth before reaching their climax. The final releases are very harsh and resound in her chest with a latent growling intensity. They´re sound could be described as “masculine”, fairly vocal, loud and she mostly sneezes off to her free side: “HuhhrERSSCHH-UH! HAH-ERSSSCHH-ue!- HURH-EIZSSCHhah!” She does make an effort to cover or shield them when she´s sick. Will even try to stifle when in close quarters despite the fact that this is not fully possible due to her protruding, very big tusks. It´s a good way to tell that she´s unwell though. As are the longer fits that can hit her when she´s suffering from a bad headcold. Azra sometimes uses her plenty nose piercings to coax out some stubborn stuck sneezes rather violently. The feeling of having to sneeze and not being able to is a lot more annoying to her than the actual release. Generally she doesn´t feel bad about sneezing if it´s not happening in an inconvenient situation or displaying too much vulnerability. She´s not very used to any kind of blessings or reactions related to sneezing.

Zephyr:

Has the kink. And enjoys his own sneezes more than those of another person. He loves the feeling of it, the start of a light teasing tickle that rapidly grows into a more demanding itch. The first subtle and than more visible changes it causes to his body posture, breathing and face. The building pressure in his lungs right before the exquisite release hits him.

The Satyr goes even so far as to watch his reflection while the sneeze builds- his eyes try to stay open and admiring as long as possible but will eventually be forced shut. If he would live in a modern day setting instead of the present high fantasy one Zephyr would record his sneezes to watch and listen to them later. Revel in the moment and feeling. And probably have pleasure with it all over again. He can be rather embarrassed to sneeze in front of another person though. Both things can lead to activating his curse: He´s prone to evoke gusts of wind and even storms with any kind of deeper routed feelings. So semi destructive blasts of wind that trail after some sneezes are an often occurring possibility.

To Zephyrs own dismay he does not have many allergies. Luckily for him his nose is very sensitive to touch and inducing- a condition he uses very often. With feathers, sensual massages or by teasingly plucking the chain that´s attached to his nose piercing. Zephyrs sneezes mostly build teasingly slow and are almost always precluded by a series of hitching breaths. Sometimes slightly moaned in desperation. They´re harsh and full-bodied commitments that tend to rattle him more than a bit. Although he does try to give them a (to him) pleasant sound: Always aiming for all three syllables, audibly parted and still musically melting into each other. With that slightly over dramatic rise in pitch and voice towards the end to conceal the harsher middle part:

“hah-heh- HAH-ERRSCH-iiuuh!- HAH-IZSSCHH-iuh!- hheh- ah- Hadt-EISSCHIOO!” He´s not the type to stifle because... Why miss out on something great? Zephyr will sneeze freely and uncovered when alone but will turn aside to sneeze against his forearm or wrist when around people.

Evan:

This man has an immune system so strong it´s an almost indomitable fortress. Which is good since his husbands health is the exact opposite. Normally he does not sneeze much at all but has developed a nasty and itchy allergy to birch tress and hazel bushes. When exposed his eyes and nose are opening the flood gates simultaneously while both turning visibly red and irritated. His nose starts to tingle and buzz with sneezy desperation right after and it doesn't take long to be fully overcome. Despite him being very tall and muscular his sneezes are restrained and squelched into almost silent submission. And directly followed by an achy groan or shaky exhale. Desperate and painful sounding stifles that can arrive in singles or a whole big party when allergies hit him. Initiated by a big breath and trembling grimace as his hand flies up to press against his shaking septum in a futile attempt to avoid the following: “HAH-nxdt!-uhh” or “HEH-kxndt-ah!” and very rarely he looses the battle for control after a longer fit- ending it with a harsh: “AERRRSCHooh!” or a similar sounding, very relieving sneeze. All variations are followed by some sniffs and a husky “xcuse me...”. His Love does chide him for stifling and keeps reciting the risks and possible harms of this kind of action. Although this does not stop Evan from doing it again. Most of his stifles are dry since he effectively blocks every other option. A full release or a bad allergy day can still turn out messy from time to time.

Evan always sneezes against his shoulder, into the crook of one arm or into his shirt that will be hastily pulled up over mouth and nose. He is especially careful with keeping all kinds of germs away from his husband Alexej. He´s not scared of catching things himself though. He does thank people for blessing him and also very friendly blesses others who are in close vicinity to him. No matter if they´re friends or complete strangers. Has kind of a funny habit with calling “bless you!” through the whole flat upon hearing his husband sneeze in a far away corner of their shared place. Which leaves Alexej blushing a bit, silently thinking: “Was it.... that loud?” before calling back a flustered “Thank you!”.

Alexej:

His health is very frail with his immune-system actually compromised due to several chronic issues. He´s almost all the time at least achy and sniffly with the tendency to get worse very fast and really seriously. In addition to catching colds and being sick way to often Alexej is also suffering from severe dust and perfume allergies. Both he and his husband Evan do avoid any kind of scented products and keep their shared flat meticulously clean. Despite the constant struggles his nose did not seem to have hardened against outside teasing since it can be vexed and irritated pretty easily. All these ailments make him a very sneezy person and when doing so it´s almost always happening three times in a row. Although an allergy attack can easily cause a prolonged fit. Especially his cold sneezes build awfully slow- teasing him with lots of gasped out hitching and a couple of false starts here and there. A struggle so clearly visible in his desperate facial expressions. When they finally come they do so forcefully and accompanied by a lot of mess while shaking his lithe body and leaving him dizzy. Despite their force and volume the sound is desperate yet underlined with a rather soft, spraying base that´s ending in a higher pitch. “hhh-heh-hhiih-PTZSSCH-hieh!”, “-IZZSSSCH-iieew!” He manages to keep his regular “just an itchy nose” kind of sneezes a bit lower in volume and force. They´ll built and come more sudden and he´ll hold them back to a more suppressed but still spraying “TZSCHieh!”. If possible Alexej will always try and muffle his sneezes into a tissue, his sleeve or crook of an arm- resulting in big, very visible wet spots and a lot of blushing.

He used to apologize a lot after sneezing but has moderated that habit around Evan a bit due to his husbands constant reassurances and care. Although generally he´s feeling both deeply embarrassed and angry at himself for his often “misbehaving” nose and shattered immune system. Having to sneeze in public, or worse in front of his audience during a concert, is still a huge horror for him. One that´s recurring from time to time despite his tries to ward it off. Alexej is often too shy to bless anyone besides his husband Evan. He dislikes it when his husband stifles because he´s worried it will cause harm or hurt him. Alexej himself has had bad experiences with stifling- which is why he avoids doing so.

Whew that was it for now. Somehow that was great to do but harder to write than an actual fic. Hope you liked reading it though! :)

WWE NXT Takeover: Portland 2020 – Preview & Predictions

Adam Cole (c) vs Tommaso Ciampa: NXT Championship Match

Finally, Ciampa gets the chance to take back Goldie after never being pinned for it due to injury previously, just that standing in his way is Adam Cole who has been on such a great run as a champion since winning the title.

I swear every time Ciampa is in-ring doing something he always seems to get a knock, he was limping the other week I just hope nothings lingering for him and has to keep working through knocks again which could build up.

Cole has been great both in matches as well as bringing the aura of a proper champion to his reign, not a knock on others but him interacting with the Raw and Smackdown rosters around Survivor Series made him seem an equal and not someone on the newer third brand.

Not sure about the outcome here to be honest, my biggest instinct is that Cole wins and goes to feud with Gargano if he beats Balor. The story of Ciampa’s return from injury is a big one that they may go with for the raw emotion of him getting the gold back, but I feel they stay with Cole as champion clinging to his reign as the other members of Undisputed Era drop their belts – COLE

Rhea Ripley (c) vs Bianca Belair: NXT Championship Match

Bianca gets another chance at the title after winning a battle royal, to begin with this came across as a massive stop gap for whatever plans they had for Rhea and the title at Wrestlemania but thankfully they’ve developed the feud to incorporate Charlotte and add some layers to this whole situation.

The build to a potential Rhea/Charlotte match began WAAAAYYYYYY too early and really didn’t need to, especially as the Smackdown crew haven’t really started their Mania feuds properly building yet I get the need to with Charlotte having won the Rumble but still be creative to wait till next week maybe?

At first I was 100% sure that Ripley would retain and move on but now after they’ve been given mic time and focus im starting to possibly see a Belair title win and this all evolve to a Wrestlemania three way match with Charlotte (I don’t need her in another one, but as long as it helps the other girls than im all for it). If Rhea keeps the belt tonight then forget it as Bianca wont have the smoke needed to be injected into it, plus I think it’s the big surprise they may need for tonight's show with it featuring two women’s matches and both wanting to impress more than the other (more on that later).

Im going to go with Belair to get her first title win in the company, one of my favourite people to see on tv will be ecstatic to get the victory, THEN we can push on with Charlotte coming down to the ring to square off with the new champion while Rhea gets included as her rematch – BELAIR

The Undisputed Era (c) vs Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne, The BROserweights: NXT Tag Team Championship Match

The winners of this years Dusty Classic take their trophy as well as their championship opportunity tonight and what a fun match this will be.

The current champions have held their titles since August and continue to have great matches with whoever they are in the ring with and this will surely be another classic, but the big question will be can the new team conquer the established duo? For me the comedy segments Dunne and Riddle have done since winning the classic have been great and a welcome change to some of NXT’s usual broadcast, a real fresh feel to them with Riddle’s laid back character and Dunne’s shrugs the perfect combination to get more out of Pete’s character while giving Matt the chance to shine. While the UE have remained a constant highlight with Kyle wayyyy up there for one of my favourites in the whole company (If only him and Strong were a foot or two taller they’d be main eventing PPVs sigh).

For me I think we are about to see a down swing in the UE’s momentum and that sadly entails them dropping the titles to give their group more room to develop which ultimately will be great for them. I don’t think Riddle and Dunne are a long term team but will have tons of fun in whatever length of time they are kept together. But remember, they WILL split when Riddle leaps into the ring one night and accidently kicks his sliders into the back of Dunne’s head on accident, only for Dunne to turn and destroy Riddle for doing so setting up some very tough brawls down the road – RIDDLE/DUNNE

Keith Lee (c) vs Dominik Dijakovic: NXT North American Championship Match

The rivalry continues!!!

There really isn’t much to say here, we’ve seen them fight in epic battles before and this time on a Takeover they HAVE to raise the bar further, good luck boys – LEE

Tegan Nox vs Dakota Kai: Street Fight

A street fight between two former best friends is what brings us our second women’s match of the evening, and the stipulation is what was required after their brawl recently on NXT tv.

These two are going to go as far as they can with this stipulation and then go a step or two further, expect some worried looking referees around them as well as possible Regal appearing to calm them down after being around Dakota’s turn. Both of the women here know how important this match is not just for this feud but that its both of their times to shine in probably their biggest matches in the company so far, and hopefully they’ve been working each other for years as friends just ready for this occasion.

Predictions wise I can only see Dakota winning after Tegan got the win on tv with Candice’s help, ill predict that Candice appears again but this time Nox declines her help only for someone else to interfere and get Dakota the victory. The word going around is that Raquel Gonzalez is ready for tv and her push after a slight name change so her debuting as Kai’s muscle would be the perfect starting point for her run as well as continuing this feud further – KAI

Johnny Gargano vs Finn Balor

This is really the most interesting match on the card for me in terms on who gets the win, both massive in terms of development for this brand over the years but as I mentioned earlier I give the slight advantage to Gargano with the idea of him moving to the title scene after.

Now, saying that I don’t think this feud is near from being over and is one that will be placed on the side and hopefully show Balors clever side over the next few weeks. If he loses allow him to maybe even help Gargano win the title eventually from Cole then instantly destroy Johnny again to move into the title picture his-self. Even in defeat Finn knows the game too well and uses others to gain the steps he needs to get back to where he knows. – GARGANO

As is the norm with Takeovers this will be awesome with great matches and some intriguing angles I predict to keep the tv killing it too.

There may also be another match or two added to the show but possibly just on the kick off show.

Also, I’m VERY happy to see that Jorge Bolly got his NXT debut this weekend on the loop, I cant wait to see how much fun he has rising through the NXT ranks and beyond, trust me

Ok so, my thoughts on the VR ending and VR overall as the 6th entry.

Also because most of my thoughts aren't...complimentary im editing the names so they dont appear in the general tag. This also got LONG so readmore.

The Good:

- A//i's character still managed to be the one thing that saves VR as a show for me. Even with all the weird...contradictory plot issues, A//i still manages to be a compelling character who brings up the question of the right to live. I actually do like how he made it so itd be an ultimatum that he loses in either way, even if the ending kinda ruins the weight behind the action (which I will get to in a bit).

The meh:

-the ending was left somewhat open to interpretation which for a show as...empty as this was works out but honestly it was so vague as to A//is fate is that it may as well not exist.

The Bad:

-The main conflict behind the entire show is...simulations. No joke. Every conflict in the show can be traced back to someone doing a simulation and deciding to lose it. Even if they gave the (rather stupid) explanation that AI experience simulations like actual life (which btw the first villain wasnt an AI so this reason doesnt work), the fact that Yu//sa//ku took a bullet for one of A//is robot bodies that he literally has millions of is...just stupid and there solely for the "uwu drama".

-They actually killed A//i off but wait hes actually alive, so like the final duel literally had no purpose aside from...drama??? The episode is called Compromise and yet A//i had to lose just to keep Yu//sa///kus win streak and theres no compromise whatsoever. Yu//sa//ku litetally destroys the CompromA.I.se card so its just, no comrpomise in any way.

-This....wasn't a happy ending??? I have no idea why both the show and the fanbase frame this as a happy ending bc think about it in context: A//i pretty much loses everything, so does Yu//sa//ku who just isolated himself from everyone else for 3 months in order to comb the network for whatever remnants of A//i exist.

- So many of the supporting characters are just...there. Like, there is no side/supporting character who actually has a character arc in this show. Lets go through the list: Ao//i is pretty much the same character as when she started and goes through 2 unnecessary costume changes for a character growth that isnt there because she has literally ONE victory against an opponent that was stated multiple times to be weak and faulty and have her lose and tortured multiple times for no reason whatsoever, G//o had this weird deterioration that may have lead to something but ultimately didn't, Ak//ira is pretty much the same, J//in has ALL HIS TRAUMA ERASED SO THERES THAT, literally the only side characters who have some sembalnce of an arc are Sho//ichi (the best one anyways) from his "betrayal" in S2, and E//ma with her reconciliation with her brother. Outside of that, nothing. Yu//sa//ku, Re//volv//er and Ho//mu//ra are pretty much the only characters with an arc and even then they're not too solid? Which brings me to-

- Yu//sa//ku has been so wildly ooc since the end of S1. Ive seen so many say that his enphasis on bonds and friendship are character growth but actually looking at the sequence of events he suddenly just like. changes completely around his first duel with Ea//rth. Plus, the message of "revenge is good" was always so weird? Like, he got his revenge so all his trauma is ok now and never brought up or explored again aside from within the first 20 episodes. Theres nothing about it after that and its never built upon. The whole point of a revenge arc is to show that its BAD and yet he starts preaching that revenge is wrong AFTER he successfully gets revenge??? And even then its not exactly a revenge as it is more lashing out since it was Ko//ga//mi who was behind it all. Yu//sa/ku was definitely at his strongest characterization in S1 where we see how badly the Lo//st Incid//ent hurt him but S1 had its own share of problems that led into S2 and so many random plot threads that never went anywhere (such as the Anot//her Incid//ents, the Cy//berse deck being irl despite that A//i didnt have a physical body before then, The Bl//ue Mai//den meetup that was repeated by Nao//ki like 10 times in S2 which seemed to be leading up to something but never did, and the fact that theres 4 recap episodes in S1 already spelled some early problems). So much of the supporting cast function to just say "he turned this whole situation around...with ONE card..." i kid you not watch back every Yu//sa//ku duel I GUARANTEE you'll see someone saying hes a great duelist and serve only that purpose. ALSO THE END OF THE SHOW IS JUST MORE DRAMA?? They make him suffer for no reason other than that they can??? What purpose does his suffering at the end serve aside from just "uwu...poor baby..."???

-Re//volv//er is not a good rival. At all. He's so incredibly bland because much like Yu//sa//ku he was at his strongest characterization in S1 where he actually had some solid motivation in continuing his fathers work and being unable to accept that his dad was evil, yet most of that just flies out the window with all the collateral he's willing to inflict with the K//O//H?? All his character amounts too post S1 is "yeah i told you robots are evil and YOU didnt believe me". The most we got of him growing out of this mindset was calling A//i by his name exactly one time and nothing ever again. Also the fact that in the end we see him and his crew working for S//O//L despite the fact that they were gonna turn themselves in for their crimes just. leaves a rotten taste in my mouth. hes not a good rival at all. All he proves to me is that a good design can get anyone to like a character.

- Ho//mu//ra is...there. I literally cant say anything about him because he absolutely has the strongest motivations of the three but then the show jumps through hoops to push him to the back of the other two. He also has a bunch of early victories I do feel are undeserved (ESPECIALLY the A//oi duel that one pissed me off so much). Also the fact that the show just made him Yu//sa//kus friend immediately whereas it took Sho//ichi several months to get Yu//sa//ku to warm up to him just had me :/.

-The speed duels were a cool concept but they just became these huge cheat fests? Seriously Play//Maker uses StAccess literally every speed duel to pull out a new monster from whatever plot holes the writers need to patch up. I am not kidding. You can go back to every single speed duel Yu//sa//ku was in and youll see this. Skills just werent a good mechanic because when a protag pulls a new card its supposed to be representative of some growth/characterization but he stays the same pretty much throughout the entire show up until S2 where he wildly just switches personality. Plus the fact that Que//en could literally use a skill whenever just shows that it was cheating???

- The villains were overall lackluster. Boh//man was the best because Re//volv//er is just flat whereas A//i struck me more as an anti hero. And again: simulations are the enemy. Light//ning ran one and decided to go ham. Kog//ami ran one and decided to go ham. A//i ran one and decided to go ham. The conflicts are all the same and it just makes things happen rather than following a consistent plot thread? I will say that Boh//mans characterization of a hive mind to become perfect does strike my tastes but thats more my personal preference in villains rather than any merit he has.

- This is a bit of a personal pet peeve but I've seen some of the praise to this show about being the "darkest Y//G//O to date so therefore its good" and im just...no? Edge does not make a good show and just because they lightly focused on the tragedy in Yu//sa//kus life (and it IS lightly because its barely touched upon after mid S1) most of the stuff that happens in this show is pretty tame in comparison? The most that happened here was an attempted global hack of everyones minds from S2 and destroying the internet in S1, with a few references to the torture that happened during the Lo//st incid//ent. To compare: the previous series had this huge interdimensional war that, even if they could reverse the carding of people (which makes Den//nis' attempted suicide even more tragic), ended with an entire dimensions full of brainwashed soldier children, a dimension with huge class inequality that was still being heavily worked upon since there were canonically slaves, and a dimension that was savaged by a genocide and total global destruction. Hell, the series before that had a huge war where the arc actually did focus on the tragedys the characters faced and held consequence (even if they pulled a dbz revive everyone at the end). And as far back into the very first series there were even more graphic depictions of war and death? Idk i feel like people are overplaying the edge here just to find a way to complement this show.

Overall:

I'm...genuinely dissappointed. VR really had so many strong starting points but it all just fell apart at execution. Really the only reason I even bothered to watch it as kong as I did was because Im a longtime fan of the series and wanted to give it a chance rather than jump on whatever love/hate train the show has. Its been rated poorly on the JP side and most of the approval is a vocal minority. Just to be clear: this isnt me bashing the show, my opinions are mine and you can agree or disagree to any capacity, and even if a show isnt well written you can still find a reason to enjoy it despite the flaws.

But if Im being perfectly honest? I do not like this show. It's rushed, choppy, has no consistent or clear plot threads, most of the genuinely interesting characters are wasted for the protagonist to look better and he never really does because he ALSO has an interesting idea behind him but it never goes anywhere. It started strong but ended so poorly. Id be angry but im more dissappointed because Ive watched this show from day 1 and wanted to see the good things it has rather than focus on the negatibes but. yeah. This show really had potential and yet it just fell flat.

Darling, I hope you enjoy. The rest is yet to come, but my muse has been giving me fits and been very stubborn about this fic. The scaffold is in place, but the bricks and mortar are having trouble sticking together in just the way I would like. As a result, I’ve decided to post in several smaller chapters, so I could get something to you before the December 31st deadline. Merry Christmas, luv! I think the two of us have been down this road before... more than once! LOL

CHAPTER 1

Rose danced along the pavement, singing Christmas carols to herself. Shopping bags swung from her mittened hands and the snow crunched merrily under her feet. Soft snowflakes drifted down around her, glistening in the streetlights.

All was right with the world.

In just a few days she would be celebrating Christmas with the love of her life, their first Christmas as a married couple. Well, married in traditional human terms. She and the Doctor had been bonded in Time Lord fashion, telepathically linked, since before Rose had first been trapped in Pete’s World. Their bond had been duplicated in her part-human Doctor, along with all the original Doctor’s memories and thoughts.

Last Christmas had been full of excitement and celebration. The Doctor had surprised Rose by proposing to her on Christmas morning. Her mum and Pete had been aware of the Doctor’s intentions for several weeks, as he had asked for their blessing. In true Jackie Tyler fashion, her mum had decided to transform her annual New Year’s Gala into a huge engagement party, complete with an official announcement to the press. “Bleedin’ paps. They’re like vultures, they are,” Jackie had reasoned. “They’ll stop at nothin’ for a story. Best nip it in the bud and not let rumours get started. And believe me, once they see that ring of yours, there’ll be nothin’ but rumours and gossip.”

From that moment on, even after their wedding in September, Rose and the Doctor’s lives had been exhausting as they tried to evade the relentless press. Pete had been forced to establish a top-level security perimeter in the neighborhood around their flat for a short time until the Doctor could cobble together some simple perception filters for him and Rose to wear everywhere outside of home, Torchwood, and official functions. They hated the restrictions but recognized the filters were a necessary evil; wearing them meant Rose and the Doctor could live their lives with relative normalcy, like making it possible for them to do things like going Christmas shopping after work and walking home in the snow, singing carols.

“…I just want you for my own. More than you could ever know. Make my wish come tru-ue. All I want… for Christmas…” The notes of the cheerful Christmas tune died on Rose’s tongue as she crossed the street and approached their flat. The snow on the pavement in front of their building looked as though it had had something large dragged through it, and pine needles and twigs were scattered everywhere. The trail continued up the front steps and in through the front door.

Rose’s heart sank. All was not right with the world.

As she turned her key in the lock and stepped into the little lobby, she winced at the fresh gouges on the doorjamb and door, and at the porch lamp dangling by its wires. She opened her bond with the Doctor, probing along it gently to assess his mood. A jolt of panic returned to her along their connection, and at precisely the same time, she heard the sound of a fist pounding on a door and the angry shouts of their landlady, Mrs. McGrath, from somewhere a few floors above. She didn’t doubt for a moment whose door Mrs. McGrath was beating on…

Rose followed the path of debris, damage, and wet patches of melted snow down the hall and up the stairs, all the way to the third floor (the top floor) where the flat she shared with the Doctor was situated.

Sure enough, old Mrs. McGrath was standing in front of their door, hands on her hips. “Doctor! I know you’re in there, skulkin’!” she barked in her light, Scottish brogue. “I’ve had it with ya, ya great dunderheid! This is the last straw; do ya hear me?” She pummelled her fist against the door again. “Och, I ought ta skelp ya!”

“Mrs. McGrath! Mrs. McGrath!” Rose switched off her perception filter as she rushed toward the enraged elderly woman. She was tiny, but she was fierce, a force to be reckoned with. Her steel-grey hair was tied in a kerchief, and she wore a floral apron over a heavy dress that looked as though it had been made from repurposed curtains.

“Ya better be able to explain this! Ye’ll be payin' for all the repairs?”

Rose felt very small under her piercing blue gaze. She nodded, a sigh trickling over her lips. “Of course. As always. You never need to worry about that.”

“An’ I won’t be worryin’ about it ag’in! Yer oot! Evicted! As of right noo!”

“No! You can’t!”

“I most certainly can, and I will!”

Rose stood up tall and took a step toward the landlady. Might as well be assertive. At this point it can’t hurt… much. “On what grounds? Surely you need to give us warnin’s and such before you can evict us.”

Mrs. McGrath closed the distance between them further and shook her finger directly under Rose’s nose. “Don’t ye gimme yer cheek, Mrs. Noble.” (Rose didn’t miss the omission of the “Tyler” portion of her surname.) “I have a list as long as my arm of all the damage tha’ great wean of yers has caused in the two short years he’s lived here: explosions, electrical fires, water damage, strange odours, the broken countertop. And noo…” she gestured to the detritus covering the floor in front of their doorway, “…this!”

Rose tipped up her chin defiantly. “And we covered the cost of the repairs every time, but–”

“As well ye should’ve! And, jus’ so we understand one another, for your information, I have given him plenty of warnings, in writing. When that toaster caught fire last month, and we needed to evacuate the building, I told him it was yer last chance.”

“I never saw any warnings…” She and the Doctor were going to have words over this. What had he been thinking, not telling her something that important?

“Well, they were given, and I dinnae care who your faither is, it’s time ye flitted! Yer ta be gone by th’morra.”

“Tomorrow! That’s impossible, and, besides, it’s nearly Christmas!” Rose fought the tears prickling her eyes. “Please, Mrs. McGrath,” she grabbed the woman’s hand, squeezing gently, “please, can’t we talk this over. Come, have a cuppa. I made some Christmas biscuits, this morning…”

Mrs. McGrath stared stonily down at the hand Rose had wrapped around hers and huffed.

“Sorry…” Rose let go of Mrs. McGrath and fished her keys out of her pocket. They clinked together cheerfully in the awkward silence as she fumbled to unlock the door. “Please… just come in, yeah? I’m sure we can work this out.”

There was a muffled (manly) yelp from inside the flat as Rose swung the door open. She gaped at the sight before her, and rapidly shut the door again, blocking Mrs. McGrath’s view of the disaster within. She plastered a smile across her lips and turned to face the landlady. “On second thought, why don’t we–”

“Och, yer no gonna pull the wool over these auld eyes, lassie.” Mrs. McGrath’s expression was nothing short of triumphant. “I think I’d quite fancy a wee fly cup and a biscuit, after all. And, I hafta say,” she narrowed her shrewd eyes at Rose, “I’m deid keen on seein’ what yer hidin’ behind that door.”
