If you want an easy alternative to censor words that keeps it legible:

Use https://zerowidthspace.me/.

It'll put an imperceptible space between words. Like this: '​'. See those two 's? There's a space between those. You just won't see it.

More importantly, tumblr's search doesn't account for it. Whichever word you use is effectively censored just by this zero-space character.

Way easier for screen-readers to parse than censoring with '@' or '/', too.
