|| new years and blooming hearts
Tumblr media
summary: you’re in pansy’s dorm getting ready to go to the slytherin new year’s eve party. only, you’re a hufflepuff… you arrive to the party and the tension between you and THEODORE NOTT is palpable; so palpable in fact that matteo and enzo decide to help a brother out (by making theodore so insanely jealous that he arrived to his breaking point.) through breathless laughter, cold stares and tough crowds, you find yourself by theo, oddly enough during the countdown til midnight.
word count: 6.6k+
a/n: this is lowercase intended. i just wanted to write about theodore nott/lorenzo zurzolo because he has me in a chokehold. also, i read a fic with a similar concept to this but i can’t find it. if anyone knows which fic i’m referring to, please tag the creator in the comments.
- please imagine theodore with an italian accent, thanks!!! 😓
warnings: italian!theo. jealous!theo. angsty. friends to lovers. slowburn. oblivious reader and theo (they’re both clearly in love). love confession. tension. heavy kissing. pansy x blaise.
6:00P.M.
“okay… so what i’m hearing is that you hate me and want me to die.” you flinched at the dress pansy held to your body, your nose twitching as you dramatically gagged.
it was yellow with black stripes, reminding you of the bee movie you had previously watched with her and your friends in the slytherin common room.
pansy was cackling beside you; her hair hanging low in her face as loud snorts tumbled from her nose. “no—no you have to hear me out,” she cackled. “it’s perfect! it’ll match your house and everything, baby.”
“you know what else is perfect?” your lips twitched into a malice smile.
“what?” she was still laughing, hardly able to contain herself as she ran her fingers through her hair.
grabbing your wand, you pointed it toward the dress. “evanesco!” you quickly shouted, a smirk now adorning your lips as the fabric disappeared from her grasp.
“you’re no fun,” she pouted, her laughter ceasing before giggles bubbled right back up again. “i’ll tell you what, i think i do have a dress for you to wear. trust me?” she asked, still giggling as she cocked her head to the side.
“i don’t know…” you teased, “are you going to pull out another bumblebee catastrophe?”
“no, i promise.” she interlocked her pinky with yours, the laughter finally dying down.
after a moment, you sat on her bed, your head leaning against the headboard as you waited for her to find what she was looking for in the mess she called ‘closet’.
your fingers danced around your wand, attempting to spin it around your unskilled grasp—only for it to end up dropping to your side. you blew out a stream of tense air. “have you found it yet?” you impatiently wailed.
“hold on,” she replied, annoyed.
after holding on for what felt like half an hour — two minutes max — she found the dress she was looking for
and it was beautiful.
it was a black dress with spaghetti straps that would clearly hug your body; long, plain, but gorgeous; just what you wanted.
“pans, it’s perfect.” you said, excitement rushing through your veins before it pained back down. well shit, you thought as your heart practically pounded in your chest.
tonight was the slytherin house party hosted to celebrate the new year. you’re a hufflepuff, a hufflepuff that managed to befriend the group of slytherin that everyone wanted but couldn’t become friends with. you knew most of the slytherin house disliked you, but your friends were feared, nobody dared to say too much about you to your face.
how sweet of them, you thought.
“yeah, it’s nothing special, but paired with a few gold accessories and your pretty face it’s going to look great!” pansy set the dress on the blanket beside you, her hands smoothing out the nonexistent wrinkles before meeting your gaze. “woah— hey what’s wrong?” she asked.
“uh,” you stuttered, looking toward the dress once, twice, before making eye contact with her again. “nothing’s— wrong?” you said, clearly trying to convince yourself of that matter rather than her.
you weren’t too emotional, always being able to hold a strong ground, but you had your days; like most hufflepuff. you guessed that today was one of those days.
great.
“baby, what’s wrong?” pansy asked again, brushing a strand of your hair behind your ear. “you know i’d never seriously make fun of you, right? you can talk to me,” she laughed softly, looking at you with an understanding gaze.
“it’s stupid.” you muttered, a smile creeping on your face despite the heavy turmoil in your chest. “i don’t even know if i should be going to this party… i don’t belong there.”
pansys brows furrowed. “whose making you feel like you don’t belong there?” she was upset, that of which you could tell.
“uh, everyone?” you responded as if it were as plain as day. “well, not you and our friends of course… but everyone else. they so-obviously don’t want me at their party, and i understand that; i mean, i’m a hufflepuff.”
pansy rolled her eyes. “screw them,” she said. “i want you there. matteo wants you there, enzo, draco, and blaise, all want you there.” her eyes glistened in the dim candlelighting, squinting as she drawled out her last sentence with an undeniable tease, “theo wants you there.”
pansy has known about your little crush on theo for years. it started in third year, when he began calling you that nickname you’ve just recently learned the meaning to: soffio.
it meant puff; a simple word that referred to your house, but it made your heart flutter.
he gave you that nickname
and it meant the world to you.
however, your delusions were just delusions. he didn’t know how much that name meant to you because he made it out of ridicule; a teasing ridicule, but ridicule at that.
“whatever,” you rolled you eyes, your thumb brushing away the singular tear rolling down your flushed cheek.
pansy smiled, getting out of bed, grabbing your hands to pull you off of the mattress as well. “you’re coming tonight,” she sing-songed. “and you don’t have a choice.”
7:30P.M.
"are you ready yet?!" pansy yelled against the bathroom door, pounding on it as you stared at yourself in the mirror.
your eyes shifted down the length of your body.
the dress looked just as good on as you imagined it would in your head, and if you were being honest, you're more-so holding her up to stare at yourself a little longer.
cocky, but whatever because you felt and looked amazing.
“one second!” you shouted, fluffing your hair up softly to make it look as if you ‘rolled out of bed’ in a perfect, flawless type way.
you could hear the sarcasm dripping from her tone as she counted, “one,” but you had already opened the door.
she looked stunning as well, wearing a long-sleeved, dark green dress with three gold rings forming a line down her slightly exposed chest.
“pansy, baby, you look so freaking pretty!” you squealed, your hands intertwined with hers mid-air as you both grinned at each other like overly-excited school girls. “me? oh my gosh, what about you?!” she said, her hands moving to your shoulders and rocking you gently as her eyes glistened. “you look so, so gorgeous, y/n!!!”
“i think theo’s going to have a mannerism,” she teased and you rolled your eyes.
“whatever,” you giggled.

8:00P.M.
two hundred slytherin and one hufflepuff,
two hundred slytherin and one hufflepuff,
two hundred slytherin and one hufflepuff,
but you’re only focused on six of them.
the six you felt safest around:
pansy parkinson (duh),
matteo riddle,
lorenzo berkshire,
(somehow) draco malfoy,
blaise zabini,
and theodore nott.
obviously, you didn’t walk in unnoticed.
matteo immediately sat up from the couch, making his way over to you as he watched you walk in with pansy. “funny seeing you here,” he teased, “how’s my favorite hufflepuff doing?” his arm wrapped around your shoulders, pulling you in closer to kiss the top of your head.
“yeah, yeah,” you rolled your eyes, laughing as you pushed him away. “and i’m okay, a little nervous, but i’m all good. y’know?”
“nervous?” matteo asked, cocking a brow.
you shot him a look and he quickly understood. “ah, no need to worry about them.” he promised, “they’ll be dealt with if they do anything.”
your forehead wrinkled slightly as you shot him a weary smile. “thanks.” you replied coolly, noticeably unsure of his intentions.
from across the room, theo’s eyes lit up, his frown transforming into a soft, bright smile as he made his way through the thick crowd to get to you. “soffio, you’re here.” his lips brushed against your hair, his arms wrapped around your head, pulling your cheek flat against his chest.
his italian accent was thick and heavy, harder to understand as his voice muffled into the depths of your hair, but you still felt a blush crawl over your flesh.
“theo—“ you muttered, your voice just as muffled as he pulled you even closer, one hand cupping the back of your neck while the other threaded through your hair, “i thought you weren’t going to show up, bella, i was worried,” he then whispered.
matteo shot him a look.
“theo you’re crushing me!” you giggled, your hands crawling up his chest to create a little distance between the two of you.
his large hand gently caressed your cheek; four fingers stroking your jaw as his thumb lingered in its original place, now smiling as he pulled away. “mi dispiace,” he whispered before turning his attention to the friend making his way over.
"i'm surprised you showed up," blaise drawled, leaning against the wall with an amused smirk. "thought you'd run the other way once you heard who all was coming." despite his words, there was warmth in his gaze as it met yours, a spark of admiration glinting in their depths.
“oh, shut up,” pansy hit his side, rolling her eyes. “if you scare her away i’ll beat your ass,” she then whispered, eyes squinting as she playfully bit down on her words.
“relax, ma.” he chuckled, his hands falling to her hips, squeezing them gently as he leaned down to kiss her, “let’s go get a drink, yeah?”
“and that’s my cue to leave,” pansy playfully hit your thigh, shooting a quick glance to theo as if she knew something you didn’t, “don’t do too much without me.”
you shivered as you watched her walk away, your mind racing at what she could have meant; knowing her, it could be anything.
draco entered the room then, scanning the gathering with a faint smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. he hesitated when he spotted you surrounded by the others, finally shrugging as if it wouldn't bother him either way before striding over. "y/l/n," he greeted coolly, shooting a smug look at matteo and theodore. "happy almost new year."
you wrinkled your nose at draco, a playful challenge lighting up in your eyes. "happy almost new year to you too, malfoy."
lorenzo approached last, his gaze taking in the group with a slow appraisal before he settled on you. there was something unreadable lurking behind his dark eyes, a mixture of surprise and a slight hint of desire. "quite the turnout," he murmured.
weird, you thought.
"aye, quite the turnout," matteo replied, chuckling softly as he placed a hand on lorenzo's shoulder. there was a brief moment of tension between them as they glanced toward you and theo, a silent understanding passing between the two of them before both men simply let it slide.
what seemed to you as theo ignoring their odd behavior, he turned to face everyone, clapping his hands together. "ah," he grinned, his voice full of mirth. "glad you decide to join us, lorenzo." theo patted his side.
lorenzo grinned, patting theo’s side in return, “wouldn’t wanna be here with anyone else.” he replied before looking toward the brunette woman he felt eyeing him down. “except maybe her,” he then smirked.
you heard matteo sigh, muttering a series of curse words as draco snickered beside him.
“whore,” draco spoke as if his commentary were a compliment, but lorenzo was too busy undressing the girl with his eyes to notice.
“well go up to her,” you groaned, rolling your eyes teasingly as you pushed him away from the circle. “don’t be a puss; drinking her up from afar is an unattractive trait, berkshire.”
he stumbled, his palms brushing down his white suit before glancing over at matteo. then, he turned around to wink at you playfully. “oh, you’re in for it later,” he chuckled. “wish me luck, love.”
‘good luck,’ you mouthed as he began to walk toward the girl, the tension in the room shifting.
theo scowled at lorenzo, three fingers rubbing against his thumb as matteo teasingly brushed the italian’s side. “chill,” he whispered, a shady smile playing on his lips.
“do not tell me to chill,” theo’s voice rose. “i am chill, no need to tell me to chill if i am already.”
your brows furrowed slightly, confused as to why theo snapped so suddenly. “everything okay?” you asked, your thumb rubbing soothing circles against his bicep before he blew out a sigh.
“yes, soffio,” he shakily assured, finding the hand you placed on his bicep, sliding it into his palm, and kissing your knuckles gently. “i’m— i’m okay.”
matteo grinned brightly as an idea struck his mind. “alcohol, anyone?”
8:30P.M.
you were trying not to spill your drink as you made your way back through the crowd. yeah, you were wearing a black dress, so you guessed that a stain wouldn’t really matter… but you still hated the feeling of wet fabric against your skin.
“ow,” you muttered as you bumped into matteo’s chest. don’t worry, you did not spill your beverage.
you were about to apologize until you noticed lorenzo standing beside him, now turning to stand behind you. your brows furrowed to the bridge of your nose. staring at them intensely, you asked, “uh, what exactly do you think you’re doing?”
“we’re going to help you out, girlfriend,” matteo smirked, his eyes a dangerous game, his tone slithering directly into one ear then finding its way out the next.
“like i said,” you scowled. “uh, what?”
“do you want a new years kiss or not?” lorenzo asked, his palm finding your waist to keep you steady as you tried to walk away.
you slapped his hand. “not from you, berkshire.” you spat.
“obviously not from me, idiot.” he rolled his eyes. “from theodore.”
your eyes lit.
matteo cocked his brow, “there might be one before new years though if he doesn’t crack.”
this time, you did spill your drink—a little of the liquid dripping from the rim of your cup as your hand jerked forward. “what are you talking about, matty?” your voice dripped with disgust as you then slapped lorenzo’s hand away from your waist, “and let go of me.”
“do you like theodore or not?” matteo asked, clearly annoyed.
“none of the bullshit either, sweetheart.” lorenzo dragged. “everyone can tell you’re crazy about the guy, there’s no point in hiding it anymore.”
“you know what they say…new year, new confessions.” matteo cocked a brow, waiting for you to come clean.
you huffed, the need to correct him strong as you rolled your eyes. “they don’t say that,” you said, but you were now looking toward the ground… “okayyesiliketheo,” you muttered.
“what was that?” lorenzo asked, a teasing smile apparent on his lips. “one more time for me, love?”
“yes; merlin, yes, okay! i like theo,” you bit in a faint yet deadly whisper. “what do you want from me? a cookie?”
matteo smirked, looking around before taking a step closer to you, “atta girl.” he said, “enzo and i’ve been thinking,” - “not a good sign.” - “girl, shut up. we were thinking and we know a way to get theo to confess his feelings.”
before you could ask how, you felt lorenzo’s proximity come closer as well. “he’s protective over you, that we all know.”
you couldn’t necessarily see enzo roll his eyes, but you could hear the eye roll in his tone.
“we’re going to make him jealous.” matteo added.
lorenzo nodded, “precisely.”
he stumbled, his palms brushing down his white suit before glancing over at matteo. then, he turned around to wink at you playfully. "oh, you're in for it later," he chuckled. "wish me luck, love."
'good luck, you mouthed.
“see, you were playing along before you even realized.” matteo nudged your shoulder playfully and you finally laughed, easing up a bit.
“you really think this is going to work?” you asked, a little unsure of the whole situation.
to that, lorenzo scoffed. “i know it’s going to work.” he stated. “darling, theo is head over heels for you; you’re all he talks about. let’s just consider this to be theo’s wake up call.”
9:00P.M.
you’re now wineless.
you downed three cup-fulls of the substance to take your mind off the fact you’re sitting on lorenzo berkshire’s lap at a party; a guy you’ve always thought of as a brother.
“i’m sorry.” he whispered against the side of your head, “i know how uncomfortable this may be for you.”
“not uncomfortable,” you responded, your head now resting against his shoulder, and that was the truth. you weren’t uncomfortable, “this is just different.”
he nodded, his gaze lingering on theo’s hand as he watched his knuckles turn white around a glass. “somebodies getting angry,” enzo chuckled. theo never contemplated anything when it came to you, must be the italian in him well, except maybe when it came to confessing his feelings. you watched as he began to walk toward the two of you. “prepare yourself, love.” enzo then warned.
“lorenzo,” theodore smiled, a forced smile, one that laid heavy on his chest. “how about you come on a walk with me, yeah? i want to speak with you privately.”
his eyes found yours—they were heavy and disappointed. your heart sank further, but you only held onto lorenzo a little tighter.
“woah, heyyy, what’s going on here?” matteo quickly intervened, gently patting theo on the back as he looked at you and lorenzo. “i didn’t know you two were a thing!” matteo sounded astonished, his mouth dropping as he chuckled. “theo, buddy, isn’t this wonderful news?”
the scowl on theodore’s face was apparent as he muttered, “considerati fortunata, puttana,” (consider yourself lucky, whore.) under his breath, but he quickly nodded. “yeah, such great and—wonderful news, mio amico.”
“you think?” lorenzo smirked, giving your waist a gentle squeeze before kissing your neck, cheekily staring at theodore as your hand entangled into his brunette hair.
theodore’s eyes darkened as he sipped his alcohol, an angry noise bubbling from his throat. “yep.” he bit, “it’s fucking wonderful.”
“now that’s good sportsmanship.” matteo rubbed theo’s back before continuing. “hey! i have an idea. why don’t we go dancing? how does that sound, lovebirds!”
you slid off lorenzo’s lap and he was quick to follow suite, his arm sliding around your hipbone, pressing your back against his chest. he had to be strongly willed because the way theodore’s gaze burned through his skull wasn’t easy to ignore.
at least you couldn’t ignore it.
it made you sick to your stomach.
theo set his glass on the table. “you do that—i’m going for a smoke.”
9:30P.M.
theo didn’t go outside to smoke.
instead, he was leaned against a wall, a cigarette planted between his parted lips as his eyes stuck to yours like glue; watching you dance against lorenzo rather than him.
you decided not to make eye contact with theodore because if you did you’d end up stopping the plan right then and there.
“enzo,” you muttered, your gaze struggling to stay on the ground as his chin rested on your head, swaying to the music with his hands on your waist. “hmm?” he hummed.
“could you, um,” you stuttered, your eyes fluttering to theodore’s and immediately regretting it. “turn me around.”
he nodded, his gaze now facing theodore’s pained one as you wrapped your arms tighter around his neck to comfort yourself. in return, he gave you a squeeze. “i know how hard this is for you, love,” he whispered, “but trust me, it’s going to be worth it.”
“are you sure?” you asked, your mind beginning to race. “because he hasn’t done anything other than stare. i mean, who stares at the person they supposedly have a crush on as they dance with your best friend?…oh my merlin,” you muttered, reality hitting you. “i’m dancing with his best friend.”
you tried to back away but lorenzo’s grip tightened around you, “y/n.”
“i’m going to hell,” you continued. “this is it for me. i’m literally the worst person alive. hell. that’s my future. h. e. double hockey stic—“
enzo squeezed your hips, signaling that he’s about to kiss you. “now?!” you shouted in an angry whisper. lorenzo nodded, his eyes darting toward theodore’s again, watching as he began to make his way over.
“now.” he confirmed and your stomach backflipped.
a hand came to your cheek, lorenzo’s thumb covering your mouth as he kissed that rather than you; to the unassuming eye, the kiss was passionate, stomach hurling curling.
any girl would die to kiss lorenzo berkshire; slytherin’s number one heart throb.
just not you.
but boy did you put on a show.
theodore stopped in his tracks, his hand reaching forward as a communication indicator but falling back to his side in defeat. he turned back around.
good thing you didn’t see that because you would’ve chased after him, throwing your arms around his neck and kissing him passionately; not his fucking best friend.
10:30P.M.
you were comfortable dancing with lorenzo when theodore’s eyes weren’t burning through the two of you; laughing as his hands ghosted over your hips, dancing to the music as friends rather than ‘lovers’.
you almost forgot about the whole plan.
“thought that she… was with theo.” a slytherin you didn’t recognize commented.
“must be a pass around.” another smirked, and your heart sank even further.
you stepped away from lorenzo, emotions stirring as you made eye contact with the group talking about you.
their commentary came to an end as you watched matteo approach them in your peripheral vision. you didn’t hear much bickering after that, but regardless, your vision began to blur.
looking around, you noticed everyone staring at you, and you took another step back.
“hey— hey!” lorenzo was close to you again.
“what?” you bit. “this whole thing, this whole plan is stupid and i want to stop.”
“y/n.” he chuckled, looking around awkwardly, trying to place his arms around you waist but you smacked him hard in the chest, sending him slightly backward.
a small gasp tumbled from his parted lips.
you didn’t shout, but your voice graveled as you continued to walk into him. “i’m.” you hit him again. “not.” again. “doing.” again. “this.” and again. “anymore!”
but his arms stayed around you.
“i want to stop!” you were crying now, going limp against his chest as your throat burned. “please, please let me stop, enz… please.”
enzo drug a hand to your lower back, doing what he knew he needed to do. “don’t worry. i’ll go find pansy.” he whispered before kissing your temple.
10:45P.M.
“pans,” you cried, your mascara staining your cheeks as you burried yourself in her arms. “this was a mistake—i shouldn’t have agreed to their stupid plan.”
“hey,” she whispered, her fingers gently massaging your scalp. “we’ve all fallen for their antics before, don’t blame yourself too badly, honeybee.”
you shot her a look and she cocked her head, smiling empathetically, “not the time?”
“i’ll tell you what,” she whispered again, casting a small spell to rid the mascara from your cheeks before pulling your shoulders back to look you in the eye. “don’t leave. give it until midnight like planned, and if it goes wrong…” pansy took her phone out, a recording of both matteo and lorenzo stopping you earlier to explain the plan playing on screen.
she then smirked, “i’ll show him this.”
“when did you take that?” you asked, your fingers trailing down the length of the phone before looking at her skeptically; eyes still swollen.
her gaze shifted toward the ground, “let’s just say i was um… in on the whole thing…”
“don’t worry, though.” she says, brushing the final tear on your cheek away with the base of her thumb as she smiled. “they came to me so things wouldn’t get all fucked up… they care about you y/n, and they care about theodore, they don’t want to ruin this thing you have with him, okay?”
you nod, and she hugs you one last time before you have to go and find lorenzo.
11:00P.M.
“you seem tense, y/l/n,” draco found you before you found lorenzo.
his gaze drifted toward theodore, who was currently yelling at matteo—who was currently yelling at matteo. draco’s eye widened, astonished at the sight laid before him, “and i think i know why.”
“no, no, no, fuck!” you shouted, about to run toward them before the pair of hands you’d become so acquainted with today found your waist a-fucking-gain.
“do not.” enzo spat. “just be patient.”
draco raised his brows, clearly not even wanting to know as he silently left the scene.
“he’s going to kill him!” you shouted, struggling in his grasp, “let. me. GO.”
enzo rolled his eyes, “has anyone ever told you that you’re a stubborn little asshole?”
you paused for a moment. “hm, yes,” you nodded. now let me go.”
he held on tighter.
11:15P.M.
“no, no , no,” theodore’s fingers ran through his hair, “what is he doing to her, matteo? he shouldn’t be dancing with her like—like that! she’s a lady!”
theodore wasn’t yelling at matteo, his movements made it look as if he were upset, but he wasn’t. well… not at matteo at least.
matteo, being such a good friend, was letting theodore rant to him about how much he valued you and your friendship.
otherwise known as: matteo wanted to milk theo to his breaking point.
“dancing with her like what?” matteo asked, staring at you and lorenzo as he swayed and rocked his hips against yours. “seems to me like they’re having a little fun, if you know what i mean.” he winked playfully.
“jokester.” theodore drawled, pushing his shoulder. “i don’t like seeing her with him.”
matteo cocked his brow, “yeah and why’s that, buddy?” his head tilted to the side, “are you… jealous?”
theo looked astounded, immediately shaking his head in denial. “no, of course not.” he said, his cheeks turning a brighter shade of red as his anger grew palpable. “but she shouldn’t be here with that imbecille.”
“here we go again,” matteo rolled his eyes, groaning. “you never think anyone is right for her, dude. you have to give it a break.”
“a break,” theo threw his hand flat out in front of him, his forearm horizontal against his stomach. he drew it out, creating an invisible line. “she disserves someone that respects her, not a man like lorenzo.”
becoming harder to contain himself, matteo raised a brow at theo. "you mean deserves?” he grinned, continuing to drawl, “and who says he isn't the one for her?"
theo appeared as if he were on the verge of snapping. that caused matteo to chuckle, clasping his hands together as he grinned. “aw, what’s wrong, theo?” he playfully pouted, “you don’t like seeing them together? you poor, poor thing,” he puffed his lips. “guess you can’t do anything about it now.”
theo's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched as he glared at matteo. "this isn’t right," he growled, his voice low and dangerous. "that boy is not good for her, and you know it."
matteo raised his hands in mock surrender, stepping back from theo. "whoa, whoa, calm down, buddy," he said, trying to lighten the mood. "i’m just messing with you. I know you care about her, but you can't control who she chooses to be with."
theo's gaze never left matteo, but he slowly relaxed his posture, his anger simmering down. "don’t mess with me right now, matteo," he warned, his voice still tense. "this is y/n we’re talking about; that boy will corrupt her!”
matteo shrugged, a smirk still playing on his lips. "maybe she likes the bad boys," he teased, gesturing toward you and lorenzo. "maybe she's into a little danger and excitement."
theo scoffed, muttering a curse under his breath. matteo raised an eyebrow, leaning closer to his friend, his tone becoming serious.
“you love her, buddy.” he said softly, his words filled with gentle understanding, “i know you do; trust me, i’ve seen the way you’ve looked at her since first year. just talk to her.”
the moment stretched thinly between them, theo's face twisting with an agonizing mix of emotions. things became tense, and both men glanced over to where you and lorenzo danced in the distance.
“i need a drink,” theo muttered.
11:30P.M.
“this sucks,” you groaned, looking at lorenzo only to find that his gaze is back on the brunette girl from earlier. you watched him, rolling your eyes before taking that chance to slip away.
music blared throughout the common room, it was upbeat and happy, but your focus drifted toward the window as you sat on the ledge.
you could feel the weather seeping through the glass, a gentle coldness caressing your cheeks as you took a deep breath in.
you sighed heavily, rubbing your temples with your fingertips, trying to clear your thoughts as you stared out into the misty night. winter breezes blew through the open windows, accompanied by the distant sounds of laughter resounding from behind you, but for some reason, you couldn't enjoy yourself.
a part of you longed to rejoin the festivities, while another wished for escape entirely. lost in thought, time seemed to blur until suddenly, draco’s voice startled you from your own thoughts.
"i wasn't aware the fireplace emitted such an enticing scent." he commented dryly, leaning casually against the window frame beside you. "or did you just need another excuse to avoid lorenzo back there?"
you repeated, "an excuse," you blew out a string of air, turning to look at draco with a raised eyebrow. "or maybe i just needed a break from the chaos."
draco smirked, crossing his arms over his chest. "chaos?" he echoed, leaning back against the window frame. "i thought you enjoyed these kinds of gatherings."
you shrugged, looking back out into the night. "sometimes," you admitted, "but not when i'm stuck in the middle of a bunch of drama."
draco's smirk faded slightly, his eyes narrowing as he studied you. "don’t be too hard on yourself, y/l/n," he said softly, his tone more serious now. "you're just trying to figure things out, like the rest of us."
you hesitated, biting your lip as you considered his words; words that you never thought you’d hear from him. "maybe," you murmured, glancing back at him. "but it's hard when everyone else seems to have it all figured out."
draco's gaze softened, and he reached out to gently take your hand in his. "we all have our moments, y/n," hemumbled. "don't fall through to others. just focus on what makes you happy."
his eyes flicked toward the party, a hint of sympathy in his gaze. "trust me, even the most confident among us struggle on occasion. and that includes myself." he added, smirk reappearing briefly.
you sighed, examining his hand holding yours, his grip firm yet comforting.
"it's hard to believe sometimes," your fingers curled around his, returning the pressure. "everything's getting complicated."
"maybe," draco mused, "and that's alright. life would be boring without consequences and complications." he smiled, a rare glimpse of vulnerability in his eyes.
for the first time, you felt a pang of pity for him- not because he was malfoy, but because he was human.
draco’s eyes drew over yours, then they glanced toward theodore who was cocking his head in your direction. the boy seemed to follow you everywhere, not letting you get too far when anyone approached you.
“i better get out of here before your real boyfriend starts to think i want any trouble,” draco chuckled.
you looked up at him, "what?" he waved, his brows angled in an amused position as he grinned. "i'll see you later," he chuckled.
you hesitated, your gaze flickering between draco and theo, who was still watching you from afar. you couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for this whole evening.
"yeah, see you later," you murmured, pulling your hand away from draco's and standing up.
draco nodded, his smirk never wavering. "don't let theo get too jealous now," he teased before turning and disappearing back into the party.
you watched draco walk away, a mix of amusement and confusion playing on your face. you couldn't help but feel a little flustered by his teasing, but you also couldn't deny that he had a point.
11:45P.M.
you looked up at the clock, contemplating on whether or not to just go back to your dorm. you were tired of pretending, and it wasn’t like enzo was coming back to you anytime soon. he had that girl pressed against the wall, his lips violently sucking the sweet spot under her jaw, her legs wrapped around his waist.
“fifteen minutes til new years,” an overhead announced, “head outside for the firework show, or don’t, whatever!”
their voice was cocky, but it caused you to finally crack a smile as you headed toward the door. you weren’t going to mope, but you also weren’t going to bother your friends who were clearly busy with their lovers or one-night stands.
the music was still loud outside, blaring messages from her by sabrina claudio through the speakers as you stood by a fountain.
sitting on the ledge, you watched the water, the stillness of it causing you to relax.
somewhere behind you, you heard footsteps crunching on gravel and snow. slowly, you turned to see theodore walking toward you hunched down into his coat.
his eyes met yours and a sympathetic look crossed his features. "i couldn't stay away," he whispered, further approaching until he was sitting on the ledge next to you.
though it pained you, you smiled at him, wanting to say a million things but you voice falling flat as he shifted around nervously.
“you must be freezing,” he then commented, pretending to just now notice your spaghetti strapped dress as he slid out of his jacket, shrugging it off his shoulders and carefully draping it over yours.
"thank you, theo." you murmured, wrapping the familiar fabric of his jacket around you, the scent of him clinging to it.
theo glanced away, his jaw tightening before he spoke again, seeming to collect his thoughts.
"happy new year, soffio," he said cautiously, focusing his attention back on the fountain.
you mirrored his gaze, feeling a tear pool in your eye. your throat burned as you swallowed. "happy new year," you whispered back, hesitating before tentatively reaching out to grasp his hand.
theo's features softened, giving your hand a gentle squeeze. "is it true," he asked quietly, casting a quick glance your way, then looking back sharp to the water.
your breathing hitched, swallowing the lump in your throat. "is what true, theo," you whispered, fixing your gaze on his profile.
“you and lorenzo,” he replied, the sentence like poison on his tongue.
you held back a small breath, shaking your head vigorously. "no," you managed after a heavy exhale.
"then why did you leave me to be with him earlier?" theo questioned stiffly, his own whisper evaporating in the chilled air. you closed your eyes, letting out a shaky sigh.
his grip on your hand tightened, though you didn't pull away.
"it's not like that," you mumbled, struggling with your emotions. "it’s complicated..."
your voice trailed off, uncertainty clouding your judgement.
“so tell me, y/n!” theodore’s voice rose, now holding both of your hands, turning you to look him in the eye. “devi dirmelo. (you have to tell me) i can’t take it— i need you to tell me what’s going on between you and lorenzo. is- is he or is he not your lover?”
you watched his eyes plead with you, the desperation washing away some of your fear and anxiety. “it wasn’t real,” you stammered, your voice just as loud. “none of it; the kiss, the dancing, the whole relationship.”
you took a deep breath, steadying yourself for the conversation that was about to unfold. "okay?” you shakily muttered, meeting his gaze. "that whole thing was to get us together."
theo's eyes widened, his grip on your hands loosening slightly. "what?" he whispered, clearly taken aback by your confession.
you nodded, swallowing the lump in your throat. "i know it sounds crazy, but i wanted to be with you, theo. they told me this would make you ask me out—” you cringed at your sentence, “if you don’t believe me pansy has the whole video."
your voice trembled, and you could feel tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. "i'm sorry, i never meant to hurt you."
theo stared at you for a long moment, his expression a mix of shock, confusion, and hurt. "why would you do that, soffio?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper, “make me jealous so i’d get with you? bella…”
your eyes welled up with unshed tears, your voice catching as you spoke. "i was scared," you admitted. "scared that you wouldn't see me the same way, scared to ruin our friendship... scared that you wouldn't-"
a sob echoed from your chest, causing you to falter.
"sorry, i'm so sorry, " you breathed, burying your face into his shoulder.
as the realization washed over theodore's face, his embrace around you tightened. "va tutto bene," (it’s okay) he whispered, a catch in his voice as he stroked your hair repeatedly. "soffio, i have loved you for so long. i despised seeing you with him tonight.”
you pulled back slightly, your eyes searching his face for truth. "you... you love me?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
theo nodded, his eyes filled with sincerity. "always, bella, but i never thought you saw me the same way."
you bit your lip, a small smile tugging at the corners of your mouth. "i'm sorry, theo," you murmured, leaning back into his embrace. "i should have told you sooner."
"it's okay," he reassured you, his arms tightening around you. "we can start fresh now. no more games, no more pretending."
you nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over you. "i'd like that," you whispered, your eyes closing as you rested your head on his shoulder.
the countdown to midnight began over the speakers, the music dying down as people waited for the new year. “come here,” he whispered, a hand placed on your waist, positioning you to straddle his lap as he rested both palms on your hips.
you hesitated for a moment, but then slowly shifted your weight, wrapping your legs around him as he guided you.
“tell me you want this, bella,” he whispered, one palm gently squeezing your hip as the other came to caress your cheek.
with a subtle smile, you leaned in toward him, whispering into his ear. "i want this, theo," you confirmed.
his adam's apple bobbed, his thumbs tracing lazy circles on your lower lip. you closed your eyes, feeling his breath tickling against your skin. there was anticipation on his expression, almost palpable.
as the countdown reached zero, the music swelled, and fireworks exploded in the sky, theo’s palms guided your face in anticipation, tasting you the way he’d dreamed of for years as his lips danced softly, gracefully against yours.
you shivered against him, relishing in the warmth of his embrace as your happiness leaked into every corner of your being.
this moment was different, liberating. his touch, intimate, and sincere.
“bella,” he whispered sweetly, resting his forehead against yours, “don’t you try and win my affection again, understood? it’s yours; it always will be yours.”
you laughed, kissing the tip of his nose as you closed your eyes, “okay, okay. i got it.”
his laughter grew with yours, his head falling to your neck as he softly kissed the delicate skin under your ear, “happy new year, soffio.” he then whispered, twirling a strand of your hair around his finger.
“happy new year, theo.”

Golden - Weasley Twins x Reader (Soulmate AU)
Request: Would you do one where a shy Hufflepuff is Fred and George’s soulmate? Maybe they are connected somehow like a song or marks or something and it takes them a while to find her because she’s so reserved but they end up bumping into her and finding out?
Tumblr media
It was common knowledge within the wizarding world that the age of twelve was the most common to find your soulmate. You weren't sure why twelve was the magic number, but you were never the type to question to origins of magic. What you were sure of that twelve passed by with no soulmate to speak of, then thirteen, and then fourteen. It was in your fourteenth year of life that you had given up the notion of having a soulmate altogether. Your parents had found each other even before going to Hogwarts and you had now been lapped by your younger sibling who had matched their first year.
Your parents marks glowed golden on their pinkies - a lifelong reminder of the most important pinkie promise they ever made. Your brother's soulmark was a simple streak on his shoulder from where he brushed against his soulmate waiting on the sorting ceremony.
Before you first touched your soulmate, the mark on your skin was just a dark patch. Muggles that fell in love with wizards or witches often just mistook the patch for a birthmark. The marks on your skin, however, could never be mistaken for anything but a soulmark. You had two marks that were completely separate from the other. The first was a line around your waist and the second a handprint from mouth to ear. The line on the waist could always be a hug from behind. It was easy enough to believe. But the hand print? You tried to keep the worst out of your mind.
It had been almost two years since you had given up on your soulmate. Exams were just around the corner and then you were out. You were quite tempted to just move into the muggle world and never have to deal with the concept of a soulmate again. You'd marry someone who, even though they weren't your soulmate, treated you well. And wouldn't that be enough in the end?
With that thought in your mind, you turned in your final examination to Professor Umbridge, who you were quite sure never even got a soulmark as it seemed impossible that anyone could love her. A huge wave of relief washed over you as you exited the Great Hall and, just for a moment, you allowed your eyes to close and a deep breath to escape your lungs. It was over.
Your moment was short lived as a chorus of "Get down!" rang out behind you, before a set of arms wrapped around you, yanking you to the ground. Your body slammed against the rough ground, but your head was caught before it hit by another set of hands. Still, your heart raced as you tried to catch your breath.
"Shit," one of the voices said - the one with his arms around you. He transitioned from holding onto you to rubbing your back. "We are so so sorry." "We let out fireworks. Thought the coast was clear but obviously we were wrong," the other voice said, hand still supporting your face. "Here, let us help you up," he offered. You had barely made it upright when the boy in front of you began to scowl. "Fuck, Umbridge," he seethed. "I'm sorry but we have to go."
Instead of leaving you, the boy pulled you along. The other tailing closely behind. "What are you doing?" you asked. "Unfortunately, you're an accomplice now and we're about to be caught." "Accomplice? I just met you!" "Yeah? Explain that to Umbridge over a hot cup of tea and a puddle of blood. You should be thanking me!"
It wasn't until you made what felt like four laps around the castle before you quit running. You didn't even know where you were and you had been attending Hogwarts for seven years. All you know was that you were in a tiny broom closet with two boys you just met. "Lumos," one of the boys spoke, and you finally got a good look at their faces. You rolled your eyes. You should have known it was the Weasley twins. You had never really met the two but the entire school knew of the mischief they caused. It had been far too easy for you to steer clear of them up to this point. "Fred," the twin on the left, George, asked quietly. Fred was looking down at his hand, then up to you. In the dim light you could barely notice the golden glow that now shone on his hand. "It's you," he spoke gently. "What do you mean?" you asked, eyebrows furrowed. Hesitantly, Fred reached his hand up to your face, placing it where it had been only moments ago. "You're golden," he smiled.
"My whole life I was wondering how I would get those marks," I laughed. "I always feared the worst, just because of where they are. Did you feel the same way?" He shook his head. "I always just assumed it would be a handshake." You rolled your eyes. "A handshake wouldn't give you this, though." You pulled up the other sleeve of his robes - nothing. No mark whatsoever adorned him. "That doesn't make any sense." When your eyes rose up to meet Fred's, he was looking beside you, at his twin, whose forearm revealed the missing piece of the puzzle. He, too, glowed gold.

pairing: matthew sturniolo x reader
summary: your soft spoken tone doesn’t let you make new friends, but matt is who you only really need
warnings: use of yn, and names such as baby ;)
a/n: very rare emssturniolo matt fan fic ! whaaat ?!??
happy reading :)
you and matt were currently at a party with his brothers. it was a party of some influencer who you didn’t really know, and had never spoken to
but you didn’t want to ruin the night for matt, who seemed to be excited to go to this party with his brothers and friends, so you promised yourself, for his sake, to try and make some new friends to talk to while you’re there
you went in confident and ready, to just tell your anxiety to fuck off and get out of your (very comfortable) comfort zone. yet, every time that you tried to talk to some girl that seemed remotely interesting to you, they would give you one of three main responses: make a weird face and shrug you off, try to talk to you and end up leaving, or just straight up insulting you - see there was a small problem with you and parties; you were too soft spoken to be heard in places with loud music and a lot of talking. so every time you tried to talk to someone, they wouldn’t be able to hear you and they’d either just leave or tell you to speak up, which was quite literally impossible for you to do, since your voice just didn’t go any higher than the slight next step from a whisper
yet you were determined. you didn’t want to cling onto matt, you wanted him to have fun and have some alone time with his friends, away from you. the last thing you needed was for him to think you’re too clingy. so you tried again, for the third time, to talk to a girl. this time, you spotted a girl sitting alone on the couch in the living room of the house the party was being held in. she was just on her phone when you sat next to her, and said “hey, you wanna talk?” and she diverted her attention away from her phone and looked at you with a smile. this was going well,,, surprisingly. “yeah sure! what’s your name?” she asked, “mine’s jenna.”, you smiled, “i love that name! i’m yn!” - jenna looked confused for a second before asking you, “sorry, what was that?”. she hadn’t heard you. “i said i love that name, i’m yn!” you tried again, raising your voice a bit higher, or as much as you could. “i can’t hear you! look, if you’re not gonna speak up i don’t think we can talk!”, jenna scoffed, and got up and left
tears brimmed at your eyes. you knew you weren’t speaking loud, but there was no reason for people to be so mean about it - so you gave in, and went to find matt. you needed him urgently, just a hug would be enough, but you couldn’t find him. you were growing more anxious by the second, so you quickly shot matt a text
matt<3
hey where are you?
i’m on the balcony
why what’s wrong?
can we meet ? like outside ?
yeah sure :)
and with that, you found matt outside the door of the house. the second you came close enough, you hugged him tightly. light tears ran down your warm cheeks, and as soon as matt realized, he pulled back, his hold still on you - gentle, but firm. “what’s up, my love? what’s wrong?” he spoke gently, just to match your delicate state. “nothing, just tried to talk to some people to let you have fun, but they always gave me weird looks or responses when i talked low.” you lightly let out a breath. he hugged you again, his delicate hands sinking into your skin, you above your hips - to let you know he’s there
“baby, look at me. you know i love everything about you, but trust me, that soft, gentle, beautiful, sweet, delicate tone of your voice is on my ‘top three things i love about yn’ list. promise.” and with that, he stuck out his pinky finger, which was immediately interlocked with yours, a kiss planted on each other’s fingers, and another one right after, planted on each other’s lips
“i love you, my sweet girl.” he said, sincerely. and you could tell, just by the stars in his eyes which show up anytime he talks about something he’s passionate about,,,
or talking about you

Dear Joan Reeds,
Hi Mom.
I know we’ve been sending video diaries to each other since you went to Pandora a year ago and this might be a little strange, but I thought writing this to you would be a lot less impersonal than sending a video. I don’t know, watching myself emote on camera has always made me uncomfortable—so when I respond to your video diaries, know that I’m actually excited to see them and not incredibly bored as I appear.
If that’s why you’ve stopped sending videos, because you think I’m bored of them, I promise you I’m not. And I miss your videos…
Tumblr media
Year 2150
“—Unfortunately, your mother, along with the rest of the twelve other scientists had died before we were able to get them into quarantine.” One out of the three in military uniforms said.
You don’t quite remember how you got here.
Last you checked, your mother, Joan, was leaving for a huge project located on a discovered moon in the Alpha Centauri System. Pandora. An inhabited planet that the human population hoped to relocate. To find a newer home. Instead of the dying planet they created.
Joan had been accepted into the Avatar Program, a branch of the big project that had less to do with taking and more so giving. She, an esteemed scientist herself, would get to work with others like her. To explore a planet you only saw in dreams.
Dreams that would remain that way for a while.
You were only an apprentice at the time, ten years before 2150. Therefore, unqualified to accompany your mother on this new adventure. All you could do was be happy for her, even if she would be gone for a long, long time. But it was hard to be angry at that fact, remembering vividly how your mother looked before she left.
Identical eyes staring lovingly and worriedly back at you. Manic worry if anything.
“I want you to watch over the forest while I’m gone.” Joan laughed at your stunned expression. “You’ve been studying under me for years now, don’t be so shocked! You’ve followed me like a loyal shadow. My little shadow. You are the Head of the Amazon Division now. I trust you’ll continue my work.”
“Mom—I—are you sure?” A younger version of you asked. Ten years earlier you. “What if—how do you know? That I’m even ready? Surely there are more qualified scientists—”
Joan grinned, another identical trait you shared with her. “You have as much love for the Earth as I do. You have this determination, unlike any, to save it. To save what is left of this dying world, our home. Some might find it naïve. Others might discover a whole new planet to live on.” You smiled as she chuckled at that. “Yes, you will work with my second-in-command, he will show you the ropes—not like you already don’t know it—but he will be by your side until you are old enough to officially take over. But I have no doubt you can do it. And I need you to believe it too.”
There was a certain glow in your eye that matched your alight and determined face. This childlike wonder. This unyielding ball of hope that was you.
You nodded surely, holding her hand tightly, “I’ll do it. I’ll keep it safe for you.”
“Promise?”
You pressed your lips into a line, “Do you wanna pinky swear on it?”
Joan gasped, her face lighting up instantly. “I thought you’d never ask!”
Rolling your eyes at her excitement, you locked your pinky with hers. Tight and sure.
“I haven’t done this with you since I was five.”
“You’re never too old to make a promise!”
Joan then pulled you into a tight hug. Small drops of wetness fell onto your shoulder.
Neither of you said anything for a while.
She finally pulled away and pressed a kiss to your forehead. “I’ll come back for you. My little shadow.” That was her promise.
Then she walked out of the door. And all you could do was smile for her. You couldn’t even be sad.
The woman in uniform spoke up next. “Dr. Reeds? I know this is difficult information to process—"
You still didn’t remember how you got here.
Last you checked, Joan had been on Pandora for nearly five years now.
During those years, you managed to keep your promise in the beginning.
There were more trees planted, the water was becoming cleaner as the days rolled by, and you managed to gain some military protection for the forest—along with more researchers joining the cause.
During the first year of her in Pandora, your mother would send you video diaries of her time on Pandora, which prompted you to send videos back in reply. Showing your progress so far and everything you have accomplished.
One time she sent a video of her crying dramatically while holding up a picture of you as a toddler.
“Look what I found in my suitcase—sniffles—you were so small and cute back then—sniffles—guys look how cute my baby is!”
You remembered cringing and smacking your head against the table. Some of your colleagues also enjoyed a chuckle or two.
Tell me about the creatures and the plants. Take me on one of your treks through the forest in your avatar body. I enjoyed those videos the most. I always looked forward to them, even if you think I thought it was boring or too much of a lecture. I promise you it wasn’t.
I wasn’t mad about the baby picture by the way. Yes, maybe embarrassed—I was fourteen, Mom—but it’s nice that you took something with you to remember me by.
Also don’t worry about the forest, everything’s fine here. I saw all your emails asking about it. And I don’t want you to worry too much, not so much that it would ruin your experience up there. I have everything under control, Mom…
Sometimes the videos had nothing to do with talking. Joan one time sent a video of her sleepily talking to you about anything until she eventually fell asleep. The rest of the video would be of her sleeping.
You told her she didn’t have to send videos when she should be resting.
“I just want to see you, honey.” She would respond back. “Plus, talking to you is always a perfect end to my day.”
So you didn’t complain. Talking to her, seeing a new video arrive in your inbox always made your worst days just a bit brighter.
After the first year, Joan stopped sending videos. You didn’t think anything of it at first. All you assumed was that she was buried in her work. Which meant that whatever she was doing, must’ve been important. Life-changing even. And you weren’t going to interrupt that.
One year turned into two.
Two turned into three.
Four.
Four years of radio silence.
Scarily, you allowed yourself to wonder if she forgot about you.
And before you knew it, that thought abruptly left your mind in place of another.
The forest was on fire.
You remember rushing around the lab, grabbing every research hard drive, journal—anything important and belonging to your mother’s long hardworking years of work before it could be destroyed by the fire.
But. But none of it mattered.
The forest burned to the ground. Everything your mother worked for. Gone.
Gone. Gone. Gone.
“Dr. Reeds?”
Your hands were covered in ash and blisters.
She was dead. Her forest burned down a day ago.
Now the three in uniform stood with you in what was left of the forest. The grey daylight haunting in the smoke.
The mask you wore protected your facial expressions. “When did she…?”
One of the men cleared his throat. Two men and one woman. “Four years ago. A few months after she first arrived on the planet. Their lab was compromised with a deadly toxin—”
“You said that already.” You pointed out impassively.
The male nodded, “Right—We were sent straight after, unfortunately, the journey from Pandora to Earth takes…”
You turned away from them. You wanted to throw up. You want to scream and call them liars.
But you were older now. Emotions controlled. Face restrained.
There was a certain dullness in your eyes that matched your worn and solemn face. This beaten and bruised resolve. This unyielding wave of resentment that was you.
Your mother had been dead for four years.
Without you knowing about it until now.
Everything you had thought. Had assumed. It meant nothing.
You thought she had abandoned you. You thought you were alone.
Turns out she was already gone.
And you were still alone.
Blinking away ash—tears maybe, you couldn’t tell—and looked back at the three in uniform. “Alright. You told me. Thank you for coming.”
With that, you begin to walk away and continue cleaning the spot you’d been working on before the uniforms had approached. Dumping the burnt bark and ash of what used to be trees into a plastic bag.
“There’s one other thing, Dr. Reeds.” The woman spoke next. You tried not to scowl in irritation and reluctantly turned back to them. “Before your mother passed, she asked that you take her place.”
Your heart lurched and your body grew stiff.
“The late Dr. Reeds had made a lot of progress on some research that could’ve been beneficial for our organization and project.” The woman tucked her hands behind her back, back straight as she continued in a matter-of-fact tone. “We need someone like you who can continue the work without fail and who knows Dr. Reeds…particular work ethic.” You frowned at the wording. The woman—she seemed to be leading this small crusade. “We have an avatar waiting for you. All you need to do is come with us to Pandora.”
And there it was. Anyone would’ve seen this as a second chance. Another opportunity to fix your mother’s legacy. To keep your promise.
But all you saw was something else you could screw up. Something else for you to destroy by fire. Another way to fail her. The forest was gone. You had killed the forest. Now they wanted you to take your mother’s place—possibly to work on something shady that they have full control over. When was it enough?
When would people stop expecting you to be Joan Reeds? When would they see that you were nothing like her? That you weren’t their savior, that you weren’t someone to turn to whenever the original goal didn’t work? You were nothing. Everything you touched ended up destroyed. So why?
Why would your mother want you to take over her perfectly structured sculpture? When all you were was the hammer that shattered it down to pieces.
You tightened your jaw, “I’m good here. Again, thank you for coming.”
Once more, you tried walking away.
“Unfortunately, Dr. Reeds, it is not a request.” Now you were scowling at the woman, not bothering to hide the expression this time. “We’re in dire need of your mother’s expertise. She can identify resources that the RDA has collected—better than anyone. And we could use these sources to put those…our enemies in place. Heal poisons we have little information about. Your mother—”
“My mother, it seems, had no idea what she was getting into when she accepted that job for the Avatar Program.” You sized all three of them up with a quick resolve. “You’re RDA, correct? Hmm, my mother may not have seen it but I do. I see right through you all.” With that, you raised your chin and steeled your back. “So, for the last time. Thank you for coming. Now if you’ll excuse me, I just learned my own mother’s fucking dead. I’d like to take the time to grieve if you don’t mind.”
As you turned to leave again, your mind wandered. Your eyes stared bleakly at what used to be a beautiful forest. It used to be so life-like. So, so beautiful.
Your mother was gone. And so was her forest.
Maybe you should’ve seen it as a sign.
Mother dead. Forest gone.
And where were your tears?
You stopped walking suddenly when something sharp hit the back of your neck.
Instantly, without warning, your body crumbled to the ground with a thud.
Breathing was difficult. Your body couldn’t move. Black shoes filled your vision.
“Apologies, Doc. But I did say it wasn’t a request.”
Slipping from your control, everything went dark.
If you must know, your forest is making amazing progress. We planted exactly thirty more trees in the past two months and they’ve grown healthily! I’ll send you pictures of them once I’ve sent this letter.
But as I said before, there’s nothing for you to worry about here. If I wanted your help, I would’ve asked and you know this. You should be focusing on making life-changing discoveries on Pandora. Also, have you met Dr. Grace Augustine yet? I’ve just finished her book and I have many questions! Can you, possibly, maybe relay my questions to Dr. Augustine? If you’re not busy of course…

Year 2155
It had been a good day for Jake Sully.
A long and grueling hunt had ended with many other warriors succeeding in their finds, just enough to feed their families, enough to feed the entire clan.
His pride only swelled more when his mate and the current Olo’eyktan grinned proudly at him as they started their way back home.
“You’ve gotten better, ma’tiyawn.” Tsu’tey had said with a smirk.
Jake’s heart warmed, “Well, I had an amazing teacher.” Tsu’tey looked even more smug then until Jake added. “Tell Neytiri I said thanks.”
A huff left his mate's mouth and Jake laughed at his reaction. “Tell her yourself, skxawng!”
When they both returned to their new home—a new location after the Hometree was destroyed last year—it wasn’t long before their third mate, Neytiri made her way back from a hunt as well. And Jake was right. She had to be one of the best hunters of the clan as she came carrying back a rather large sturmbeest at her tail. Large enough for tonight’s celebration. She yipped loudly, raising her bow up in a cheer as she returned to the clan.
Jake and Tsu’tey couldn’t take their eyes off their mate.
Once she managed to get to them, Tsu’tey was the first to meet her in a warm and tight hug—careful to watch for the baby carrier strapped to her chest.
“And how was our boy’s first hunt?” Tsu’tey smiled down at the one-month-old child, their firstborn, Neteyam, who smiled at the sight of his papa. His smaller hands grabbed onto one of Tsu’tey’s fingers.
“He will make a great hunter.” Neytiri smiled down at him, grabbing Tsu’tey’s other hand. “And you? Did you find anything?”
Jake chuckled, looking back at the sturmbeest a few warriors carried by. “Not as good as you, babe. Let’s just say if we had made it a bet, you would’ve won easily.”
“What’s a bet?” Tsu’tey questioned, with a furrow in his brow.
“I’ll tell you later.”
When they made it back to their hut—Jake did a quick look around to find that it was empty. Sending a silent prayer to Eywa, which he found himself doing a lot more recently, he was relieved to find that Tsu’tey’s mother was nowhere in sight.
Artsut, who had been a frequent visitor to their home ever since Neteyam was born. Before then she had steered clear of their hut—not wanting to go anywhere near Jake. He was a demon, a false body, the stain on their clan. Jake was fine with her being away from the hut—that was when he could tolerate her the most.
But after Neteyam was born, after the perfect Na’vi baby had come out of Neytiri, Artsut came around more to care for her grandson. Which meant Jake had to deal with more of her comments and sneers—and he would. For his son.
Forcing Artsut to not see her grandson would’ve been too cruel—not just for his son but for Tsu’tey as well. Tsu’tey—who wanted to keep the peace between his mates and his mother. Tsu’tey, the only male in his family who is able to stand up to her and not take any of her shit.
So, Jake wasn’t worried for the most part. Artsut would play nice for Tsu’tey—her favorite son. Omatikaya’s rightful Olo’eyktan. And Jake would ignore her presence. A fair compromise.
Fortunately, he didn’t have to worry about seeing her now. Otherwise, his very good mood would be ruined.
“I went to see my mother today,” Neytiri said as she took Neteyam out of the carrier and gave him to Tsu’tey who was standing right next to her.
“For more training or something else?” Jake questioned, analyzing her body in a quick scan for any injuries he might’ve missed. “Are you okay?”
She smiled softly and pressed her hand to her stomach, “She told me that Eywa has blessed us with another child.”
Tsu’tey’s eyes widened and Jake’s mouth hung open. Neteyam watched them all quietly.
Neytiri looked down shyly, her ears fluttering, “I wanted to tell you at the celebration for a surprise but I couldn’t wait so—”
She didn’t get to finish as Tsu’tey launched himself at her, wrapping her in a tight hug, earning a joyous laugh from her. A large smile Jake hadn’t seen for a minute. Not since they first discovered Neteyam was coming.
Jake rushed over after placing his hunting equipment down, “You’re pregnant?” Neytiri nodded as Tsu’tey pulled away with a smile of his own. A grin broke out on his face as he pulled her in for a loving kiss, “Oh baby, I love you so much.”
All three of them joined together then—including Neteyam who giggled at their smiles. Sharing kisses, long hugs, and large smiles that they couldn’t contain.
Happiness was simple. That was what Jake believed.
He never thought he could achieve something like that. Not on Earth. Hell, no even on Pandora. Not after everything—but he worked hard for it. He kept going, wanting to prove to himself and his mates that he belonged there. That he was one of the People. That he would be a good mate. A good father.
And not something that destroys everything by a single touch.
Happiness was as simple as it was rare.
Whenever it came, Jake grasped onto it as tightly as he could. Because he never knew when he’d ever have it again.
He held on tight when Tsu’tey survived the battle against the Sky People. Nurtured it when Tsu’tey soon joined him and Neytiri in their union as mates. Loved it when Neteyam was born with his eyes and Neytiri’s markings.
But even then, even if he had a well-adjusted life a year into being on Pandora, Jake still had a long way to go. A long path to make up for all the strife he had caused.
For now, he would enjoy this night. He would enjoy being with his mates. He would enjoy this joyous celebration of the sturmbeest and the new life that would be here in nine months’ time.
It had been a good day for Jake Sully.
That night, Neytiri laid between Tsu’tey and him. That night he watched Tsu’tey’s body carefully as he usually did during the other nights. That night he couldn’t shake the warmth in his chest.
Happiness is simple.
At some point, Jake turned onto his back. His eyes trailing up to the sky. Stars. There were always stars here. And every night, Jake counted them until he fell asleep. Every night he had one arm around Neytiri. Every night he reached his hand out just enough until his fingers brushed against Tsu’tey’s bicep. Every night he would be the last out of the three of them—or four if he counted the heavy sleeper that was his son—to fall asleep.
Only this time there was a moving star in the sky. For a moment, Jake thought he was dreaming.
But the star kept moving. Closer and closer toward Pandora. Until Jake knew that it wasn’t a star anymore.
A body shifted, Jake instantly got up and placed gentle hands on Tsu’tey’s shaking body, trying his best to calm his mate down from the nightmares. Not knowing what he would do if he had to tell him—to tell Neytiri—that they were about to wake up in one.
It had been a good day.
Until it wasn’t.
Do you think I’ll like Pandora? I still dream about it. Being there with you. Do you still want me to come one day?
You woke up on a ship.
“Hold her down boys.”
At the moment, you hadn’t realized your body jerked roughly or that you were now being held down in your seat by a bunch of hands, far stronger and firmer than you. Never mind the tight seatbelt across your lap, no, they wanted to make sure you couldn’t escape.
So, you screamed. A horror-filled cry that sucked in all sound in the ship. Leaving the rest of the passengers with nothing but silence and your scream.
“Calm down, Doc.” The woman sat across from you spoke. The very same woman that approached you in your mother’s forest. “We wouldn’t want you harming yourself before we even get to the planet.”
With as much strength as you could muster, you tried pulling away from the two men sitting on either side of you, whose grips were practically steel. “What did you do?! Where the hell am I?!”
“I already told you five years ago, it wasn’t a request.”
You didn’t need to ask what she meant by five years. Your mother had told you about the process that got her to Pandora in one of her video diaries. You didn’t have to figure it out in your hazy state without getting pissed.
“You stole five years off me! What the fuck is wrong with you people!?” You seethed.
The woman looked unconcerned toward your outburst. “Your mother’s work is too important to give up, Doc. She and her group of scientists were close to probably giving us the one edge we needed against the Na’vi. The inhabitants of Pandora. With your mother gone along with the rest of her group, we were desperate for a replacement. Which is why we needed you. Which is why we wouldn’t take no for an answer.”
“Why the hell would I help you?!” You snapped, still fighting against the two male’s hold on you. “Get off me!”
“Boys.” The woman gestured for them to let go. After a pause, the hands were gone from your arms. And that was when you began to notice your surroundings.
Yes, you were on some type of ship with a few other soldiers. All of you strapped down to seats. And instead of your ash-covered clothes, you were now in a simple grey tank top, borrowed camouflage pants, and black combat shoes.
Slight groans and whines along the walls told you that the ship was still flying.
So you couldn’t escape even if you wanted to. You had been practically kidnapped by the military—the RDA.
And you were trapped.
That is, until you reach Pandora.
“Now if you’re done throwing a fit,” The woman brought out a tablet and held it toward you. “I’m Captain DeVoe, by the way. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Doc.”
You didn’t take the tablet.
Captain DeVoe sighed before pulling the tablet away and began typing on the screen. “Your mother had been close to finding a way to create an antidote for the neurotoxin those savages use on the tip of their arrows. It’s dangerous for us humans. And our goal is to get this small obstacle out of the way in order to proceed with our mission.”
You let out a short laugh, your body still tense and trapped. “Like I said. Why the hell would I help you? What my mother does has nothing to do with me.”
“Oh, but it does, honey,” DeVoe smirked while you scowled. The captain had to have been in her mid to late twenties. Her hair was cut short into a blonde buzzcut. Toned muscles underneath her long-sleeved shirt. She looked like she could break you in two without even breaking a sweat. So there was no point in trying to fight her. At least not in this confined space.
She held out the tablet to you. And again, you didn’t reach for it. Instead, you pressed your back against the wall behind you. DeVoe didn’t lower the tablet. From your spot, you could see on the screen a light blue rectangle and a digital lock above it.
“She’s kept everything we need behind a lock. Her last words were for you to unlock it and finish her work.”
You raised a brow and crossed your arms, “Those were her last words?” Another brittle laugh left your lips. “Wow, you all must be very desperate.” You continued to laugh, unafraid of the glare the captain sent you. “Fuck you. Fuck everyone on the ship and fuck the RDA! I haven’t even gotten to see her body yet—did you even bury her? Or did you toss her aside when you didn’t find any use for her anymore?”
DeVoe blinked and frowned. She then sighed, “I am sorry for your loss, Dr. Reeds. Really, I am. And I know emotions are quite high right now—”
“Fuck you.” You snorted humorlessly before leaning back against the wall again. The two men on either side of you shifted. You ignored them.
“Yes, you’ve said that already.” DeVoe tucked the tablet down next to her right thigh. You glanced at it briefly before directing your scowl back to the woman.
A speaker suddenly came to life above all of you. “We’ve entered the atmosphere. Landing in twenty.”
You sat up straighter as everyone suddenly began placing what looked like advanced oxygen masks on their faces.
Through all your righteous anger, you hadn’t truly realized it until right then. You were on Pandora. You were going to land in the place of your dreams.
And you refused to be happy about it.
DeVoe handed you a mask as she grabbed bags from under her seat. “Quaritch was always good at being persuasive. He’ll convince you. He always—"
A loud boom rattled your ears.
The ship suddenly flipped—if not for the seatbelts, you would’ve flipped too—and then it felt as if you were falling.
Falling.
Falling.
Falling.
Falling.
You put on the mask in hopes of helping bring the air back into your lungs.
Falling.
Falling.
Thud!
Do you remember your second-in-command? JJ? Well, he retired recently. We threw him a really big party. Plus, he just had a baby too. I think it’s a girl last I checked, I’m going to have to ask Cheryl about that—you know her. Always being in the know with her coworkers…
There was no light. Heat closed in all around you, suffocating you and fogging your mask—or was that your quick breaths? No, that was the smoke.
Your ears rang terribly. People were moving but you couldn’t see who. Someone suddenly grabbed your arm, cut the seatbelt from your lap, and practically hauled your body from the seats and through the smoke.
You weren’t walking. A striking pain in your thigh prevented you from doing so.
Suddenly there was light. Lots of it. Your vision was somewhat clear enough to see that you were now outside. Enough for you to see that the one dragging you was a feral-looking DeVoe.
“Shoot them all down now!” She screamed. There was a long gash along her toned arm. “Contact base! We need backup ASAP!”
Finally, you realized what was happening.
There was fire—why was there always fire?
The large, winged creatures flew above the damage with people riding them. There were yips and hollers from the people on the creatures mixed with the explosions and shouts from DeVoe.
As your senses began coming back, as the world began to set around you, your instincts finally kicked in.
While DeVoe was distracted giving orders, you searched the ground until your eyes landed on a nearby rock. Quickly, you lunged for it, grasped it, and smacked it in the back of her head without wasting another second.
And the impact was hard too. You were sure you heard a loud crack from it.
When DeVoe ducked and stumbled, her grip on you loosened, giving you the chance to run. Or rather, limp through the wreckage and away from the fight happening around you.
But because of your leg, you didn’t make it too far.
A sudden weight knocked you down, a cry leaving your lips as you hit the ground. Wincing in pain from the burning in your left leg. When you tried getting up, the weight kept you pinned down. Whatever landed on top of you made sure you wouldn’t be able to move.
“I already told you!” Roughly, you were turned onto your back. DeVoe was on top of you, snarling. “You have no choice! Not when it comes to saving your race!”
“Get off me!” You cried out, trying to push her off. But DeVoe remained as firm as iron.
“That was a cute little stun you pulled back there. But make sure to remember this.” Instantly, she yanked your mask off.
Your eyes were wide and a loud gasp left your lips,
DeVoe grinned, a mad glint in her eye. “Your life is in my hands! That means I protect it or take it just like that! Don’t be stupid, Doc. Don’t make this more difficult than it has to be. Pick! I protect you or you die!”
You held your breath. More booms sounded around you. More winged creatures flew above you. More yips. More hollers.
Briefly, you glanced at the mask in her hand and considered everything leading up to now. Because you didn’t have much of a choice.
None but one.
Finally, you stopped fighting. Your limbs fell loose against her.
DeVoe nodded with a smirk, “Good choice.” She gave you back your mask and stood up. You kept holding your breath. “Back up should be here soon. We’ll have enough numbers to take down these savages—”
She abruptly cut herself off when you slammed the mask down on your good knee, shattering it.
You then started breathing in the air.
“What are you doing?!” DeVoe screeched, grabbing you by the front of your shirt.
You grinned now, struggling to breathe, “You need me. I don’t need you.”
To them, you were valuable. DeVoe knew this. Which was why you knew she wouldn’t go through with killing you herself. It was like they said on the ship. You were too valuable. And they were desperate.
And that value would be lost once you’re dead.
“Damn you brat!” DeVoe growled as she took off her mask. “Selfish bitch—”
Blood splattered across your face when an arrow found its way through DeVoe’s head.
She slumped against you, the mask falling from her hand and skittering onto the ground a few feet away from you.
Your mind had not realized that DeVoe was killed. Was dead now. All you cared about now was grabbing the mask.
So once you got the dead weight off of you, you began crawling toward the mask. Your breathing becoming a struggle with every passing second.
You hadn’t realized—just like with DeVoe—that someone was watching you. Curiously and quietly following you as you crawled. You didn’t realize you weren’t alone until blue feet appeared in your line of vision. Until four fingers took the mask off the ground and away from your grasp.
A whimper left your lips through hollow breaths as you looked up to find a tall, blue alien woman standing over you. With guarded, yet silently curious yellow eyes.
A Na’vi. You had seen them in your mother’s videos. You had seen her avatar.
“Mom.” You rasped, lying on your back. You didn’t know how much time you had. Might as well stick to the original plan then.
Become invaluable.
But Mom…
“I-I just want my Mom.”
The Na’vi woman just stared at you. Her fierce gaze turned into something somewhat contemplative. You weren’t even sure if she understood you.
Black spots covered your vision.
There was barely any oxygen left to grasp for.
“Demon.”
The Na’vi woman hissed just as you lost consciousness.
Tumblr media
This had to be the second time you’ve woken up from passing out.
Only instead of a ship greeting you, it was a white ceiling. And somehow instead of lying dead in the ship wreckage, you were instead lying on a cot. With a bandage wrapped around your injured thigh.
It was slow—slower than before—but everything came back to you. You were on Pandora. DeVoe was dead. At least that’s what you remembered happening. The arrow through her head certainly wasn’t a hallucination.
But why weren’t you dead?
For a while, you just say on the cot. Trying to figure out what exactly happened.
The Na’vi woman. Did she…Did she give you the mask?
No. She’d have no reason to. Something must’ve happened while you were passed out.
You were in some type of cell—perfect—no bars but no doubt some type of impenetrable glass in front of you.
A groan left your lips, dropping your head into your hands.
How the hell did it get so much worse?
A door opened further away from your cell. A thin-looking man stepped through it. A human man.
You watched him carefully and silently. The human male nodded to you. “You must be Dr. Reeds.”
Instantly, you tensed and the words tumbled out of your mouth, “I already told DeVoe I’m not helping the RDA. So torture me all you want but you’re not getting shit from me.”
He raised his brows both curiously and observantly. “The RDA hasn’t been allowed back on Pandora for a year now. Not after the war.”
War? You carefully stood from your cot, “Then why am I here?”
“Because you were on an RDA ship—” You move to protest, “Before you say anything or curse me, I already know about Joan Reeds and your supposed arrival. But unfortunately, you arrived at a pretty bad time. The People are skittish. They think it’s best to keep you here for now—”
“What the fuck?!” You screamed. The resolve was broken. There was no composing anything anymore. Your face was heated. Your muscles ached. Your throat hurting. “I didn’t even want to come here! Those fuckers kidnapped me and now I have to be imprisoned in a cell because of them?! I’m not RDA! I have nothing to do with this! All I want to do is see my mother who I couldn’t even bury!”
Toward the end of your rageful sentence, your voice quivered.
“Is she even buried yet?” You asked him, your voice now quieter.
After a pause, the male nodded. “She was buried. She…She was one of the few humans the Na’vi got along with. They gave her a burial years before. She—I’m sorry for your loss.
Everything was so—heavy. You were just exhausted.
You hadn’t even been able to grieve for her. Cry for her.
“I didn’t even know she was dead.” You sunk back down on the cot. “Not for four years. I didn’t she was dead for four fucking years. And now I’m here. On a planet I’ve been dreaming about since I was young. But now it’s just some fucked up nightmare.”
There was a long silence between the both of you. The male rubbed the back of his neck before saying cautiously, “Yeah, this isn’t ideal—um, I’m Norm, by the way. Norm Spellman. I work in the Avatar Program. I—well, I didn’t know or meet your mother personally but she was an amazing and intelligent scientist. Her work here and on Earth is very admirable.”
You almost scoffed at that but said nothing.
Norm moved to say more but stopped instantly, pressing a hand to his ear. For a beat, you watched him bleakly, as if he were listening to something.
He then turned to you, “Hold that thought.” And as soon as you blinked, he was gone out of the room.
For a moment, it was silent.
And then you cried.
And cried.
And cried.
And cried.
And cried.
Until your eyes offered no more tears left to give.
Do you remember your second-in-command? JJ? Well, he retired recently. We threw him a really big party. Plus, he just had a baby too. I think it’s a girl last I checked, I’m going to have to ask Cheryl about that—you know her. Always being in the know with her coworkers.
I had to clean up cow shit yesterday. And I’m definitely smiling when I tell you this. It’s progress but you probably get to see and interact with creatures we don’t even have here. So, at least you’re up there…
Norm came back a little later after that. He approached your cell, typing something against the wall. A second later, the glass came down.
You straightened.
“They want to talk to you.” He said.
“Who?” You frowned tiredly as you slowly got to your feet, wincing at your thigh.
Norm thought for a bit, “Some representatives of the clan nearby.”
Reluctantly, you followed Norm out of the cell. He led you through a hallway until you approached a door where Norm grabbed a mask for himself and you.
“They’re right out there.”
When you walked out the door, you were startled to find three winged creatures and tall—really tall—Na’vi waiting at the landing strip where you were sure ships would’ve been. But instead, it looked a bit abandoned.
“Dr. Reeds this is the chief of the Omatikaya Clan, Tsu’tey, that’s Neytiri, and the last one is the clan’s Toruk Makto, Jake Sully.”
You analyzed all three of them. The Na’vi woman—Neytiri—you recognized from the crash. The one that had been standing over you before you passed out. Long braids, warrior paint on her face—matching her body posture she instantly took as soon as you came out of the building, and a bow clutched in one hand with a fierce expression. She was sizing you up. Same as you did.
The next one—Tsu’tey—watched your movements carefully. Out of the three he looked like the one in charge, a leader, someone that of importance. His snarl was severe, even making Norm shift uncomfortably despite it not being directed at him. He gripped a spear tightly in his hands, his eyes following every slight movement you made. As if readying himself to take you down the moment you step out of line. Dangerous beast.
Then there was Jake Sully. If you hadn’t learned his name, you could instantly tell that he stood out somewhat among the three. Compared to Neytiri and Tsu’tey, Jake’s stance was different. More human-like. Like a Marine—which you had been around back on Earth. They were mostly the ones hired as military protection, so you were around them often. Jake was exactly that. But it didn’t make him any less fierce or severe.
Then of course there was the gun that he held—another huge thing that stood out among the three of them.
“And this is Dr. Reeds. She was supposed to replace the late Dr. Joan Reeds, a friend of Grace—”
“Why is she here now?” The leader, Tsu’tey interrupted with a scowl. “We need no more demons here.”
You chewed the inside of your cheek but didn’t say anything. Norm, fortunately, continued talking so you didn’t have to. “The timing’s off, I know, but it’s on record that she was supposed to arrive here upon Dr. Reeds' last request. And confirmed by Dr. Augustine herself. She’s only a scientist, that’s all. We even have an unused avatar waiting for her.”
Tsu’tey didn’t look convinced, not surprising. Neytiri’s eyes never wavered from you. Jake’s tail swished behind him, but his expression was unreadable.
Norm cleared his throat, “If Grace approved of it—”
“Where’s my mother buried?” You asked. All four eyes snapped to you. Norm gave you a look that you ignored. “Spellman told me she had a burial here. I just want to see her. That’s all.”
“And then what?” Jake questioned, eyes narrowed. His face was still guarded.
You didn’t care for it. “I don’t know. Maybe then I’ll go back to Earth and die with the rest of the planet. Does that suffice?”
Tsu’tey frowned, clearly not liking your response while Jake lowered the gun slightly. Neytiri slowly eased out of her defensive stance.
Norm chuckled nervously—attempting to save your sardonic response, “You hear that? She said she’ll leave.”
You breathed out a sigh. God, you were so tired. “I just want my Mom. Please, that’s all I ask.”
Another beat went by before Jake, spoke first but in another language. Tsu’tey didn’t look happy at whatever Jake was saying, his ears were pinned to the sides of his head. Neytiri, on the other hand, looked contemplative.
Eventually, Jake turned back to you with a stern frown, “We’ll have a few warriors take you to your mother’s burial.”
“And after you do not return.” Tsu’tey hissed, his violent eyes pinning you in place. If I see you on my grounds again, I will kill you, demon.”
Jake breathed out through his nose, closing his eyes. He then looked at you, “Understood?”
You huffed, “Loud and clear.”
You’re far away from this mess and I think that’s good. Not that there is a mess, I’m just saying metaphorically….You know what never mind. I hope you’re having fun, Mom.
Please respond. I miss your videos. And it’s getting pretty lonely down here.
I still want you to have fun so don’t put too much energy into trying to respond.
I’ll leave you now.
Love,
your little shadow.
PS.
Remember how you said I accomplish more stuff than you could ever imagine? I kind of get the feeling you were only saying that to make me feel better. It’s pretty clear by now that out of the two of us, you’re gonna go far. Farther than I can reach.

Summary: while at the red carpet, you get asked some aggravating questions. Jacob makes you feel better.
Warnings: cursing, suggestive convo
Author’s Note: I def added my sarcastic humor into this one. Thank you for the requests guys! Keep ‘em coming!

“Would you shush?” Jacob said, holding his hands on my shoulders as we looked at my reflection in the mirror. I rolled my eyes, looking down to the ground. “You look stunning.” He lifted my chin so I could see his face in the mirror. “We’re gonna walk in and everyone’s gonna say who’s that with the model.”
“You forget that you’ve actually been a model on a magazine.” I teased, making him roll his eyes in response, placing a soft kiss to the side of my forehead.
“You have nothing to worry about darling. I swear. You take my breath away even in just your sweats.” He swooned, causing me to hold my forehead in frustration at the thought.
“I wish I were in my sweats.” I hissed, pulling slightly at the uncomfortable fabric on the dress Jacob had bought me for the red carpet. You two were attending a premiere for his new movie ‘Priscilla.’ And beside the fact that you hated galas.
“How about this? We stay at the red carpet for the premiere, then we can sneak out early and go home and cuddle. Now how can you pass up such a good offer?” He asked, making me groan angrily as I turned to face him.
“Ugh, fine. You’re lucky I love you.” I teased, pushing a hand on his chest as I pulled him into a kiss. I pulled away to see the wide smirk on his face. “And even more lucky that I love Cailee more.” I said, causing him to raise his hands in defense.
“Oh I know honey. Trust me, I know you’re here for her not me.”
I laughed, turning to lean into him as he hugged me from behind.
“Only 7 interviews?” I asked, leaning my head against his shoulder.
“As always.”
“Promise?” I held my pinky out and he locked his with mine, pulling my hand to his mouth to kiss it.
“Pinky promise.”

After we had made it to the red carpet, took a few photos at the entrance we of course were greeted by the first of many interviewers waiting for me and Jacob. I had done a few movies as well, but not nearly enough to be super high in the spotlight. They just wanted to see me as Jacob’s arm candy, and I was hoping that meant no questions for me.
“Jacob Elordi and y/n l/n, to what do I owe the pleasure.” The first interviewer asked, smiling widely as he pointed his microphone in my face. I smiled sarcastically, pushing his microphone away from me.
“I don’t know, you’re the one who asked us to interview.” I remarked, tilting my head with a fake smile plastered on my face, which quickly turned into a scowl.
“Quite the sense of humor you have.” The interviewer joked, earning another look from me, but a more serious one this time.
“I wasn’t…”
“Yes, she’s very humorous.” Jacob said, pulling the mic from away from my face, noticing how my face turned red with anger at how close it was to me.
“Is there any new news between you two?” He asked, wiggling his eyebrows which deepened my glare.
“No.” I replied shortly, making him raise an eyebrow at me.
“Nothing? Not anything at all? You two have been together for quite some time now. Do we see a ring in your future? Maybe a kid?” He asked, nudging my shoulders, causing me to look at him angrily.
“I don’t see a ring in your future.” I hissed, causing him to move back and gulp.
“Haha, there’s that humor again.” Jacob said, fake laughing loudly as he leaned down to meet my ear. “Dial it down.” He whispered, making me lean in to whisper back at him.
“She invaded my privacy.”
“Just, try and be patient. For me.” He replied, making me sigh.
“Ugh, fine. We’re expecting triplets in July.” I said, smiling at the camera with a wide fake smile, causing Jacob’s eyes to widen with shock, quickly grabbing the microphone.
“No, no we aren’t. We aren’t pregnant.” Jacob quickly corrected, fake laughing with nervousness as he did.
“Yet?” The interviewer asked, wiggling his eyebrows at me. I could feel my heart drop slightly in my stomach, and I shook my head, smiling softly.
“We uh, we haven’t talked about it yet.” I said, the interviewer raising an eyebrow at me as I stared off into the distance.
“But it’s in your future?” He asked again, making me laugh nervously. Jacob grabbed my hand, meeting my eyes in a way telling me that it was okay. I sighed, taking a deep breath before turning to the microphone.
“How about we move away from my uterus and on to more important matters. Like Elvis! How about that Blue Hawaii huh?” I said lively, elbowing Jacob, causing him to hold his arm.
“Well, alright. Jacob, what was it like playing Elvis?” The interviewer asked, both of us turning to Jacob. I smiled when I saw his excitement to answer a question finally about his role.
“It was nice, fun to explore new characters. Especially the king you know?” He turned to me and smiled, before turning back to the camera. “Besides, I’ve always been a fan of Elvis but now I have a respect for Priscilla.”
“Of course of course.” The interviewer turned to me, looking me up and down which only heightened my uncomfortableness. “Y/n, I love your dress, where’d you get it from?” He asked, catching me by surprise. I pressed my lips together as I thought, nodding slowly.
“Oh wow, um, yeah what a great question. I got it from the store.” I replied quickly, giving the camera yet another fake smile
“Which store?”
I squeezed Jacob’s hand, causing him to look at me with concern.
“Um, I don’t like this question. Um, I’m -I’m going to the restroom.” I replied quickly, walking as fast as I could manage with heels to go hide in the bathroom. In case it wasn’t clear already, the only thing worse than red carpets were the interviews. And the only thing worse than that was the questions.

“Hey, you okay?” Jacob asked, his voice ricocheted off the walls as the door slammed behind him, causing me to flinch slightly. I looked up, nodding at him from my spot at the mirror. I knew I should have locked that door.
“Yeah sorry I just, I couldn’t be around all that.” I explained, wipping the stressful tears that had strayed in my cheeks. He sighed, walking up towards you, padding away at the tears himself with a sympathetic smile.
“It’s okay, I get it.” He tried to keep talking but I interrupted him, dropping my hands to my sides with frustration as I shook my head.
“Why, is the only thing I’m good for is my dress and my uterus.” I looked down at the ground. “They asked you these deep emotional questions and I’m just, oh, how many babies do you think you can have at once.” I ranted, flailing my arms around angrily as a spoke. He furred his eyebrows, laughing as he tucked hair behind my ears.
“I don’t remember that one.” He teased, making me even angrier
“It’s not fair! I wanna be deep!” I shouted, folding my arms with a childish pout as Hacob tilted his head at me.
“We’ll, how can they resist.” He tan a hand down my face, making me melt into his touch. “In their defense babe, you look breath taking.” I scoffed, shaking my head at his flirtation.
“Of course, even my boyfriend is objectifying me. This dress isn’t even that pretty!”
“You’re right, it would look much better on our bedroom floor.” He teased, kissing down my neck, causing me to sigh with frustration.
“You’re such a jackals Jacob.”
“Does that mean we can leave?” He asked excitedly, pulling away with wiggling eyebrows.
“Yes, immediately please, take me now.”
He lifted me up bridal style, making me laugh at him.
“Oh Jacob Elordi how I love you.”
“Do you love me, or do you love that fact that we’re leaving?” He asked, making me sigh, placing a kiss to his lips.
“Why can’t it be both?” I asked, making him roll his eyes playfully. He carried me to the exit in the back, successfully escaping any interviewers that may find us. It’s safe to say I was feeling much better after that night.

I Think I Like You | Alessia Russo x Reader
based on this request. friends to lovers vibe... Enjoy :)
“Where’s (y/n)?” Alessia asks the moment she reaches her family after the match. Her eyes had been searching for yours the whole match.
“Well hello to you, too darling,” her mother Carol jokes.
Alessia blushes, wrapping her mother and father in a hug, “sorry. Hi mum, dad. You alright yeah?”
“You played well, 2 goals,” her father Mario praises excitedly.
“Thanks… so (y/n)?” She questions again looking between her parents and brothers.
“She wasn’t feeling the greatest when we arrived to pick her up today hun. I made her stay home,” Carol informs.
The panic quickly rises on Alessia’s face. You never missed her games. The two of you had been inseparable ever since you met back in uni over in the states. Finding comfort in one another since you were both English. You’d followed her back to England after graduation, but refused to admit she was the reason why. Instead you just said there were more job opportunities for you out here.
“Would you look at that? Guess who’s ringing me,” her brother Gio teases, holding the phone in Alessia’s face before pulling it out of her reach.
“Knock it off Gio. Something could be wrong with her. Give it here,” the striker fusses, ready to tackle him for the phone.
“Cut it out Gio,” Carol swats at the boy's arm.
With a playful roll of the eyes he lets Alessia grab the phone. The striker frantically pressed at the accept call button. “(Y/n), you alright?”
“Lessi, you played amazing! Of course you wait until I’m not there to score 2 bangers,” you say through the phone.
Alessia relaxes, a calm smile gracing her face at the fact you don’t sound too bad, “how you feeling bug? Mum said you weren’t feeling well.”
You huff, “I’m fine. She was being too cautious. I’m sorry I missed your game Lessi.”
She can just hear the pout on your face, “don’t worry about that. Tell me what you need and I’ll bring it with me.”
You always melted at the way Alessia took care of you when you were sick or even just having a bad day. You couldn’t help but feed into how she tends to you, “can we have ice cream and cuddle?”
Alessia swooning over the cute tone of your voice, “of course bug, anything you want. I’ll grab some food and medicine too. Just give me a bit to finish up here and go to the store okay?”
“Lessi?”
“Yes?”
You smirk even though she can’t see it, “2 goals on the day I can’t be there, really?”
She laughs, turning her back and lowering her voice in an attempt to not be heard, “they were both for you. Did you see me kiss the pinky?”
That was your thing, ever since uni. A pinky promise was sacred between the two of you. “I did. Super cute. Nice that you finally have a unique celly,” you joke.
“I’ll see you soon,” Alessia releases a breath as the call disconnects. Turning around she’s met with two curious gazes and two teasing ones.
“Is your wife alive and well?” Of course it's Gio who starts.
Alessia ignores him handing the phone back over. “When are you just going to go for it Less? She is practically a wag already,” it was Luca’s turn to get in on it now.
“We’re just friends,” Alessia grumbles face turning beet red.
“Yeah, a friend who you dedicate goals and goal celebrations to.”
Carol pulls her into her arms allowing Alessia to bury her face in her neck, “you two cut it out now. How is she doing sweetheart? Does she need anything?”
“She just wants ice cream and cuddles, the usual,” she mumbles.
“Glad my daughter in law is fine,” Mario chimes in much to the amusement of his sons.
A groan escapes Alessia as she pulls away, “I’m going to change and head out, so I can get to (y/n).”
“Good idea. Don’t keep the wife waiting,” Gio as always had to get the last word.
It’s a few hours later that there’s a knock at your door. Wrapped snug in a blanket you answer, knowing it was your favorite blonde striker. “Took you long enough. I’m freezing. Put all that down, I need your body heat.”
“No hi? Just immediately barking out orders today huh?” Alessia sucks her teeth jokingly.
“Sorry, hi Lessi,” you wait until she’s dropped the bags on the counter before pulling her into a hug.
“How you feeling?” She places a hand to your forehead and then neck.
You shake out of her protective grip, “I’m fine Lessi. Please come cuddle.”
She nods, putting the ice cream in the freezer and leaving the rest for later. You are standing by the couch when she enters, “assume the position.”
Alessia lays across the couch, opening her arms wide for you to lay on top of her. A strong grip around your waist as you flop down, encasing you both under the blanket. Burying your face into her neck as she soothingly strokes your back. This was your peace.
You giggle when you feel the racing heart of Alessia beneath you, “running a marathon are you?” When you get no response and her hand stills you pull away so you can see her face. “What’s wrong Less?”
“Nothing sorry,” she says, trying to pull you back down.
You fully sit up resting yourself in her lap as she lays there. “Liar. Did something happen after the game? Are you thinking about the sitter that could’ve got you a hat-trick star girl,” you tease trying to lighten her mood.
“I hate that nickname,” she whines.
“Talk to me.”
Alessia grabs at you pulling you back down. “Gio and Luca were winding me up over our call. Now I’m in my head.”
You get yourself back comfortable with your head against her chest, “why do you let them get to you Lessi?”
You feel her sigh. You’ve known Alessia long enough to know that when she’s in her head it’s best to let her work it out alone. The striker was an over-thinker. Silence was never uncomfortable between the two of you.
“I think I like like you (y/n),” Alessia murmurs.
You’re stunned. You’ve known Alessia for years now and had long given up on the thought that she may feel the same. You knew from the moment you met her, but all the girl thought about was football.
“I know it’s out of the blue and we are just friends but not having you in the stands today I felt like a piece of me was missing. Then Gio and Luca were going on about how you were already a wag and I-… I know that I like you. I just… we are best friends. Please don’t hate me.”
You don’t move from your spot on her chest, “I like you too Alessia.”
“You do?”
You nod against her, “I do. I was just waiting for you to like something other than football.”
The moment is exactly how you’d imagine something like this going with Alessia. No pressure. Everything was calm, no need for any theatrics. Just the two of you, whispering secrets to each other like you did all those years before in uni.
“Do you want ice cream?” She asks.
“In a minute, let’s just stay like this a while longer.”

golden girl II m.earps ~
so this started off as an 1000 word blurb, - but here we are 2433 words later... enjoy ;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
01 ★ ~ m.earps
"you look gorgeous, baby." you tried your best to convince mary. "i don't think i should go," she choked out, tears brimming in the corners of her eyes. "no my love, nobody deserves this award as much as you do." you gently kissed away her threatening tears. delicately taking her larger hands into your own, you guided her to the large mirror in your room.
"what if I'm not enough?" she asked, her voice almost breaking.
"most talented woman i know, my golden girl." you praised, whilst lightly kissing each of her fingers. you saw her hesitate for a moment as if she was fighting a battle in her mind to believe your sincere words before she took a deep breath and turned around. now facing you, mary grinned from ear to ear. looking down into your eyes with so much love, that you felt your knees almost buckle.
"you're right, darling." she responded, after a while. "and even if i don't win this award... i know I've won the two most amazing girls in the world." she referred to your baby girl, - sage, and your heart panged with adoration, eyes now tearful at her words.
"speaking of the little one, her babysitters should be arriving, right about -." the doorbell began ringing incessantly, a rapid amount of chimes that seemed to echo the cheekiness of your to good friends, - ella and alessia.
leaving mary, you went to answer the door whilst she woke your little girl from her afternoon slumber. you couldn't help but smile, as you opened the door only to be greeted by the sight of the two girls, decked in animal onesies, with fun, promising smiles plastered on both their faces.
as they entered your home, they immediately barrelled into you with a big hug. both their arms wrapped tightly around you, almost lifting you off your feet. "careful with the wife ladies, she just had a baby," a familiar voice spoke behind you. as the girls' arms gently let go, your waist was then again enveloped by another set of arms, this time belonging to mary.
in your wife's arms, lay a half-asleep sage, her eyes sparkled when she caught sight of her two favourite people, (well apart from you and Mary of course). "auntie el! auntie less!" your daughter called out, her voice now a mix of sleepiness and excitement.
alessia and ella's faces lit up at the sound of sage's voice. "our little star!" ella said in a whisper, sneaking up to playfully tickle sage's stomach, whilst alessia reached out and gently tussled her messy hair. the sleepy child let out a string of giggles, as she tried to push away ella's hands.
you watched mary with a fond smile. her love for sage was a fierce and passionate just as much as her love for the pitch.
"are you ready for a fun night with auntie el and auntie less?!" alessia exclaimed, sporting a cheeky grin. sage responded by extending her arms out to both the girls, clearly eager to engage in any fun they had planned for her. "i'm sure she is," you said, pecking your little girl on the nose and lightly pinching her rosy cheeks, eliciting yet another loud giggle from sage.
ella gently put her back on the floor, beaming with excitement, but slightly nervous about her babysitting duties. alessia and ella were the first people ever to look after sage, apart from both your mums.
"remember bed by eight, and no sugar after dinner." mary instructed the younger girls, her tone firm but warm. she then knelt down to sage's level, tucking a strand of stray hair behind her ear. "and you be good for alessia and ella, young lady." sage nodded in response, stretching out her pinky to seal the deal. mary chuckled, linking her finger with the girl, before squeezing her sides and kissing her head.
'call us if you need anything, right girls?" mary spoke, glancing at the girls, who were clearly already distracted by sage's intense description of her latest preschool adventure. "yes, mary. now go lovebirds!" alessia said, before once again ensuring Mary they would have everything under control.
mary now satisfied enough, turned to you. "lets not keep the night waiting, shall we?" interlocking your hands together, she pressed a soft kiss to your knuckles. "good luck!" both girls said in unison, holding up your little girl as they waved goodbye from the front door.
~
as the evening unfolded, alessia, ella and sage now embarked on an adventurous journey. your once neat living room was now transformed into what could only be described as a pillow fortress. cushions and blankets had been gathered from all corners of the house, each piece carefully picked by sage, for it's essential role in the castle.
alessia and ella fully immersed themselves in the childish game, embracing their roles as the castle's valiant protectors. sage's imagination took over, and none other than her teddy bear was the 'villain' of the story, a mischievous bear named sir. fluffy, which sage had warned her babysitters that he was determined to steal their precious castle treasure.
as the game progressed, sir. fluffy, (operated by sage herself) made several attempts to swipe the precious treasure, only to be 'captured' successfully by alessia, who declared dramatically, "no villainous creature shall defy the guardians of this castle!" sage's laughter flowed loudly through the house, the three girls giggling hysterically on the couch.
when the game reached its end, sage decided that sir, fluffy had in fact learned his lesson, and could be forgiven. the bear was then 'knighted' by queen sage and became an honorary protector of the castle, much to alessia and ella's amusement. the girls then lay down on the couch, breathless to say the least, the two babysitters exhausted from their impromptu adventure.
"how about some dinner, queen sage?" asked ella, her face concerned at how she had lost the time during the game. sage nodded enthusiastically, her small brain having long forgotten the game, now only interested in what dinner might include.
opening the fridge, alessia caught sight of a small container, with the label, "for sage <3" written neatly on top. grabbing the food, she emptied it into a bowl, before tucking it into the microwave.
meanwhile, ella kept you entertained with a short game of "guess who: lionesses edition". as ella desperately tried to guess her teammates, sage found it quite easy to give clues about her aunties, her mothers having brought her to camp a fair amount of times.
"dinner's ready!" alessia yelled from the kitchen, offering sage a bowl of spaghetti pasta. sage immediately dug into her food, her babysitters having to tell her to slow down or she would get a tummy ache.
once sage was finished, alessia took her bowl to the kitchen, cleaning it in the sink, before grabbing some snacks for a movie ella and she had planned. ella picked sage up, throwing her up in her arms before crashing them both onto the couch. sage shrieked, arms wrapping tightly around her neck, as they both giggled excitedly.
"so what are we thinking? beauty and the beast, moana, the little mermaid, rapunzel?" alessia asked, flicking through different options on the tv. not missing a single beat, sage excitedly screamed out, "the little mermaid!" she raised her short arms eagerly above her head.
popcorn, jelly snakes, chocolate freckles, and cookies were spread out in bowls on the table, sage's small hands sneaking snacks every so often, although both girls were aware of her little 'hidden stash'. as the movie played, alessia, sage, and ella sang happily to the lyrics of each number, neither one of the babysitters missing the glint in the little girl's eyes whenever sebastian, the crab came on screen.
halfway through the movie, sage snuggled her small body between the two older girls, grabbing at their hoodies in her tiny grasp. her eyes began to flutter shut, sleep taking over her tired body. alessia took notice of this, checking to see her best friend still enamored with the children's movie playing on the screen.
"el." she whispered, trying to gain the girl's attention without waking her up. "what's wrong?" the brunette asked, tearing her eyes away from the bright screen. "look at the poor girl, she's fallen asleep on you," alessia responded, her thumb coming to rub up and down your small frame. grinning the girls took a photo, before sending it to mary.
~
mary sat anxiously in her seat, her palms sweaty and knee bouncing up and down erratically. next to her, you sat calmly, moving your hand to sweetly lay on her thigh, gently pausing her nervous movement. she smiled appreciatively, moving her larger hands to rest on top of yours, letting you know you were helping more than you could know.
as the event started to commence, you interlaced your fingers with hers. The tension in the air was intense, collective anticipation steamed from every corner of the room.
around you, sat some of the best athletes to walk the Earth. however, you felt in your heart that a special someone deserved this award, although that special someone would never believe you, no matter how hard you tried.
as greetings were dished out, you could feel your wife's tension slowly subsiding, instead replaced by self-appreciation for how far she had come. the small glance you shared with mary were filled with gratitude and love, a silent conversation that spoke volumes about the journey you had been through together. the journey that didn't stop tonight, whether she was to win the award or not.
mary's focus was entirely on you. the award, which had been at the forefront of her mind all night, gradually faded into the background, her eyes solely on you. her hands relaxed, her smile became more genuine, and the tenseness in her face became less strained.
then, unexpectedly, amid a shared smile, the moment arrived. the presenter's voice cut through the noise of the room, announcing the winner of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.
time seemed to pause as mary's name echoed through the hall.
for a split second, there was a look of disbelief on mary's face, a flicker of surprise that didn't mirror your own. her gaze met yours, a sea of emotions dancing in her eyes – shock, relief, and hint of overwhelming realization. as applause erupted around you, you gave her thigh a reassuring squeeze, a silent message of pride and love.
"my golden girl." you said proudly, a look of true pride in your eyes.
mary rose to her feet, her movement still carrying a hint of disbelief. But as she stepped towards the stage, there was a growing confidence in her stride, a recognition of her outstanding achievements throughout the year and the heartfelt journey that had brought her to this moment.
your heart swelled with pride, watching her accept her well-deserved award and your eyes brimmed with happy tears for how far the girl had come. this was her moment, a shining display of recognition for something she so richly deserved.
lifting up the trophy, mary and you made eye contact, the blonde blowing you a kiss that you knew you would get teased by relentlessly for later.
~
after a memorable night at the award ceremony, you and mary quietly headed home eager to see your little girl again. the evening had been a success, but now, you couldn't wait to see Sage's reaction to mary's trophy and hear the next day about her time with alessia and ella.
as you gently pushed open the front door, you expected to see the two younger girls chatting on the sofa. instead, you were greeted with a heartwarming sight.
there, on the couch in a tangle of limbs and soft blankets, lay alessia, ella, and, to your surprise, sage, fast asleep. the living room was dimly lit by the fairy lights that they had obviously set up, casting a gentle, soothing glow on their faces.
you shared a look of mild amusement and slight exasperation with your wife. sage was clearly meant to be in bed, and by the looks of the empty sweet wrappers on the coffee table, the 'no sweets after dinner' rule had been enthusiastically ignored. yet, seeing them all there, so peaceful and content, it was hard to stay angry when they looked so peaceful.
with a silent chuckle, mary whispered, "so much for rules, huh?" Her voice was soft, filled with warmth, mixed with a slight irritation for the mischievous younger girls, but it was okay, - she'd get them back in training anyway.
carefully, so as not to wake your little girl, you both quietly approached the couch. mary gently scooped up sage, cradling her in her arms. you quietly picked up the stray sweet wrappers and straightened up the room a bit, all the while watching mary carry sage to her bedroom.
in sage's room, mary gently tucked the little girl into bed, arranging her pillows and pulling the covers up to her chin. you both took your turns kissing her forehead, before silently turning off the lights. you both stood there for a moment, watching her sleep, her chest rising and falling rhythmically in the quiet of the room.
you both couldn't believe how lucky you were to call sage your own.
as you both retreated from sage's room, you made your way back to the living room. before gently laying a warm blanket over the two older girls, chuckling at the identical drool dripping from both their mouths. you both sat next to alessia and ella on the couch, sighing at their poor babysitting skills. you did your best to cover your laughs at the mess they had made of your house in only a few hours.
"seems, like we have three children now." mary joked, although you knew she referred to the two girls as her 'unwanted children', the both of them constantly begging for advice from the older woman, they really did love you both.
making your way to your own bedroom, you settled into bed with a comfortable silence taking over the room. you snuggled your body close to the blonde, her hand subconsciously combing through your hair. "I love you," mary's voice broke the silence. "thank you for everything you do for me. i couldn't have won without you." she admitted, lips pressing softly against your temple.
"i love you too, mary." you tucked your head into the crook of her neck.
"my golden girl."

Pinky Promise 3
Tumblr media
Part 1
Part 2
Word count: 2K
Pairings: Jake Seresin X Reader
A/N: Round 3 of Pink Promise! I have a few more I want to put out, but if you have something you want to see in them let me know! It's been a lot of fun writing these. Thanks for reading!!
Tumblr media
The two of you were sitting around Jake’s house eating takeout Chinese food. Some old movie was playing on the TV. For some reason Jake preferred the classics but you found them to be incredibly boring. It was often you found yourself in this same position, sprawled out on his couch, sitting in a comfortable silence as you watched another movie you couldn’t retell the plot of.
Which is why in that moment you chose to say, “I got into medical school.”
It was nearly comical watching him choke on the spoonful of rice. He sat up and looked over to you, still coughing up those last pieces. “I’m sorry. What did you just say?” The look he gave you was disbelief mixed with something else. Something you hadn’t seen before.
“I don’t think I stuttered.” You took a bite of an egg roll and waited for his mind to catch up.
“Medical school? For doctors?” You couldn’t help but smirk at his choice of questions. “Yes, like for doctors. I thought pilots were supposed to be smart?”
He shook his head and laughed, “When the hell did you have time for that?”
You finished off the egg roll and shrugged your shoulders, “What do you think I do all day while you’re at work?”
This path you took was one you had been on for a while Everyone saw you as the girl who parties, the one who doesn’t care about the outcome of her decisions. But it couldn’t be farther from the truth. And instead of showing people how wrong they were about you, you let them form their very low opinions. Pleasing people was never one of your strong points and a few judgmental comments weren’t going to tear you down.
Jake was clearly still processing things but paused the movie to give you his full attention. What he said next though, nearly made you cry right then and there.
“I am so proud of you, sweetheart. Holy crap you are going to be a doctor.” He got up and pulled you into a tight hug. It was then the look on his face made more sense. It was a look of pride, and one you hadn’t gotten before.
“Tell me all about it. Where are you going? When do you start?” His enthusiasm for this made you feel something that part of you was afraid to feel. This man was slowly becoming your best friend, which is why you pushed down all other feelings. No need to ruin a good thing.
“Well, I decided I wanted to stay close to home and was lucky enough to get into the University of California San Diego. My GPA was a little short of what they wanted, but I killed the interview. Something about your dad dying while fighting for his country tends to pull on heartstrings.”
Jake shook his head, “You did not pull that card.”
You waved a hand at him, “Please. I would be dumb not to. I also threw in about staying close to the base in case anything happened to Bradley. And that I might follow in the family footsteps one day.”
Jake’s head tilted at the last part. “You are not enlisting. I draw the line at that.”
You rolled your eyes at him, “Down tiger. All I meant was that I would want to work at a hospital close to base. The one all of you get sent to when something goes wrong.”
Relief was evident as he exhaled. “I don’t think the military could handle you anyway.”
It was true. You were never one to follow orders well. Plus having a third Bradshaw in the Navy would be too much for anyone.
You picked the remote back up and resumed the movie. While Jake thought this was a big deal, you were ready to get back to the movie night. You still had a few months until school started anyway.
The movie had been playing for a few minutes, but you could feel eyes on you every now and then. “Is something the matter?”
You glanced over to the man next to you and watched him shake his head. “Nothing. You just keep surprising me, that’s all.”
“Well, either turn your attention back to this movie or I’m putting something better on. Maybe something made in this decade.” A chuckle graced your ears and a quick, “Yes ma’am.”
It wasn’t until the credits were running that he said, “You better not forget about me when you become a big shot doctor.”
“I don’t think I could forget about you even if I tried.” And it was the truth. That one drunken call has led you to one of the best things in life.
“Pinky promise you won’t.” He had his signature smirk on full display as he held out his pinky for you to shake on. You happily gave him yours, thrilled that the Top Gun pilot has accepted this form of promises.
When he pulled away, he asked, “What made you want to become a doctor?” It was a simple question with a very loaded answer.
“When my mom was sick, it was just me and her most of the time. Bradley was off at the academy, something she wouldn’t tell him but absolutely hated. And I found myself wanting to give her some sort of joy to offset my brother’s choices. I made her a promise that I was going to graduate and get a degree in something. Something that would make a difference. It took a while to figure out what that was, but the look of pride on her face when I said medical school, I only wish I had a photo of that single moment.
“When there were days I questioned if I could do it or if I even still wanted to, I think back to that conversation and all doubts went out the window. There are very few things in life I want more than graduating from med school which is why I worked so hard to even get it.” Jake wiped a tear that I didn’t know had fallen.
“She would’ve been happy that you accomplished a goal while still holding onto yourself. That you had fun while doing it. Not too many people can find that balance which tells me you are going to do amazing. But if you ever need some sort of motivation or a simple distraction from school, you can call me anytime sweetheart.”
And just like that, you knew Jake Seresin was going to be in your life for as long as you could keep him.
Tumblr media
After the incident a little while back, your brother made an effort to be more present in your everyday life. Which meant he was currently over at your apartment criticizing how you were making dinner.
“At any point you can either cook yourself or shut up.” Bradley held up his hands in surrender.
“All I’m saying is that you are going to burn the bottom of it if you don’t stir it more often.” You turned around from the food and pointed the utensil in your hand at him. Which just so happened to be a knife.
“Listen here bird boy. My house, my rules which means you can sit your judgmental ass down before I do something you can’t bounce back from. Last I checked you needed all ten fingers to fly.”
Again, he held up his hands and thankfully kept his mouth shut while you finished up. It wasn’t too much longer before you were dishing out food for the two of you and sitting down to eat it like a normal family. The two of you sat in silence while you ate, neither of you knowing what to say.
It was like this most nights. After your mom died Bradley threw himself into his work, leaving you to fend for yourself. It wasn’t anyone’s fault but the two of you grew apart as the years went on, leaving you to call your brother only when you needed help. This is what formed his new picture of you. He only saw you when you were at your worst.
But he was trying and the least you could do was meet him halfway.
“You know how you see me as careless and not at all organized with life?” You watched as your brother sighed and shook his head.
“We have gone over this. That is not how I see you. We just have different goals in life and that’s fine.” You waved him off.
“Right. Well, I am pleased to tell you that I’m not as big as a fuck up as you might think. I start med school in a few months.” Bradley dropped his spoon, sending food splattering on the counter.
You watched his facial expressions, looking or hoping for the one you got the other day from Jake. It wasn’t that you needed the validation from your brother, but it would be nice to see it for once.
“Med school? The school where you go to become a doctor?” You snorted at the similar question Jake had asked.
“What is with pilots and their lack of common sense. Yes, Bradley. The school for doctors.” You grabbed a napkin to wipe up the drops of food while he tried to form words.
“How?” You froze at that single word. It shouldn’t surprise you, the lack of faith this man had in you. But it still stung.
“The same way anyone gets in. Ace a test, get decent grades, and interview well. Not too hard when you think about it.” Which wasn’t exactly true. You had a lot of all-nighters, tears shed at the near impossible dream, and many bumps along the way. But you had to do it.
“Mom and dad would be proud of you.” Your eyes met his and you saw something different in them. It wasn’t the pride you were looking for but sadder. Like the weight of those words cut through him.
“I know. I was always trying to follow in your footsteps, even if I did take a longer path. But you know dad would’ve been ecstatic to see you wear the patch he tried so hard for. And mom, well mom would’ve eventually gotten over her fears of you being a pilot and saw how you were born for this. You know that, right?”
He cleared his throat and focused back on his food. “Anyone else know? It’s a pretty big deal.”
You picked up on the change of topic and said, “Your arch nemesis knows. Besides that, the friend list is pretty scarce these days.”
He slowly nodded his head, “You seem to spend a lot of time with him.”
“He’s a good friend. No need to look too far into it. I know the two of you have your issues, but he’s never given me a reason to question his intentions.”
Bradley hummed in response, but he didn’t fully believe you when it comes to only being friends. He’s seen the way Jake is at work, but with you he was completely different. You might not see it or are trying to ignore it, but he knew better.
“Are you and him still at each other’s throats?” Bradley rolled his eyes, “It’s not my fault he thinks he’s better than everyone else. He’s insufferable.”
You grabbed the finished plates and took them to the sink. “You know what would get under his skin? If you laughed at everything he said. I think that would rile him up good.”
Bradley squinted his eyes at you, “I thought the two of you were friends? Why would you tell me that?”
You shrugged your shoulders, “He is always listening to me complain about you. This way he can do it for once so it’s more even.”
Bradley threw his napkin at you and shook his head, “You’re a jerk, you know that?”
You threw him one of Jake’s signature smirks, “But I’m your jerk.”

(Note, Judd is so cute and I love him :,)
“I don’t care about those horny little shits, I’m just saying they’re old enough to fuck off and do whatever they want. I don’t want my pissstain of a brother hanging around you, your sister is also fucking weird—“
You gently elbowed him. “—You’re fucking weird, Judd. And the kids aren’t really that bad, you’re a bit dramatic, babe,” you said, and he angrily grumbled something in response as he slammed the microwave shut. The microwave made a noise, and you watched the third batch of popcorn slowly expand and start to pop.
Unfortunately for Judd, your parents had collectively decided to go out the day you had promised him a date. Mr and Mrs Birch got a coupon for a recently opened Thai restaurant and decided to invite yours, Missy’s and Andrew’s parents out for dinner, making you the designated babysitter of the night. Leah had ditched the whole ordeal, and Judd was planning to ditch as well until you sent him a picture of your tits and told him he could still come over if he behaved.
With Maury clouding his judgement, there was no fucking way he could say no to that.
So now, he was stuck making popcorn for a bunch of middle schoolers. Not to mention he had a pretty bad track record with the kids, they were all absolutely terrified of him. Except of course Jessie, who was deeply in love with him. He grunted in annoyance, turning around to face you with his arms crossed over his chest.
He had been muttering complaints under his breath ever since you started setting up for the movie. He was absolutely livid that the kids stole away his one-on-one private time with his girlfriend, but for you (and your boobs) he tried to somewhat restrain himself.
“Judd, baby, look at me,” you stepped out in front of him, reaching up and gently rubbing his cheek, forcing his attention on you. “I know this is not ideal. But, if you play nice, I have a little something for you when the kids go to bed,” you purred, leaning up to kiss his cheek.
He grabbed your waist, kneading the soft flesh in his big hands. Even though he looked intimidating as all hell, not to mention he absolutely towered over you, he was wrapped around your pinky finger.
He leaned down and buried his face in your neck. “It better be good, slut..” he grunted, brushing his lips over your neck. You slapped the back of his head, feeling him frown against your skin. “I said behave, bitch-boy.” Your tone was sharp, and he knew not to push you any further.
“Fine, alright. Whatever.” He grumbled, hugging you closer to his body.
-
It was precisely 7’oclock when the kids arrived. Jessie was still in her room, not wanting to hang out with you and Judd alone; she had refused to come out after your parents left.
Surprisingly, Judd was the first at the door. He grinned evilly. “Welcome to purgatory, you little shits.” He said, looking down at the 8th graders menacingly. “Bitch! Your sister's dumb friends are here!” He called over his shoulder.
You huffed audibly. “Are you gonna let them in or what, numbnuts?” You called back to him, pouring the last packet of popcorn into a bowl.
He frowned and stepped aside, letting the now pretty frightened kids inside. Missy walked in first, smiling nervously at Judd, then came Andrew and Nick.
Nick was about to step inside, when Judd put a hand on his shoulder. The younger boy stopped dead in his tracks, praying to whatever god he could think of that his brother would let him off easy. “I didn’t do anything! Judd, I swear, please let me go!” He shouted, voice breaking multiple times.
A ghost of a smirk crossed Judd’s face. “Don’t try shit, or I will rip your tiny dick off and force it down your throat. Got it, asslicker?”
Nick swallowed thickly, frantically nodding his head. Of course Judd had picked up on his brother's crush on you, as if it wasn’t the most obvious thing in the world.
“Y-You got it, Judd!” He confirmed, panicked chuckles escaping him.
“Judd. Let him inside.” You stomped up to them, looking so livid you scared Judd back into being nice as you crossed your arms over your chest. Nick looked away quickly, a pink flush covering his face and neck.
Judd pushed Nick inside with a frown, once again not being able to refuse you. The kids looked on in bewilderment as the intimidating teen seemed to slightly cower under your glare, complying to your will. He looked down at them with something akin to shame, before following after you like a lost puppy.
The kids were in complete shock. Had Judd been fucking possesed?
You called out to Jessie, telling her to come out of her room, before dragging Judd back into the kitchen.
-
“Y/nnn! Can you start the movie already?” Jessie whined loudly.
A bit of shuffling could be heard in the kitchen. ”I-In a minute! We’re just fixing some drinks!” You called out, voice slightly shaky.
“.. do you really think they’re getting drinks?” Missy asked, after an agonising minute of silence. The kids sat stiffly on the couch.
You had told them to make themselves at home, but none of them were able to really calm down with Judd in the house.
Jessie scoffed. “Does it sound like they’re getting drinks? My sister's kind of a slut if you haven’t noticed.” She spat.
Nick rolled his eyes. “So is Judd.”
The two of them weren’t able to get over their jealousy of your relationship, somehow not yet registering that they didn’t stand a chance with high schoolers.
“Come on guys, that’s not a very nice thing to say,” Missy said nervously, glancing at the kitchen door.
“Jessie, do you think it’s possible I can get a glass of milk? I feel very dehydrated right now,” Andrew muttered, wringing his hands.
Jessie sighed and Nick immediately began explaining in detail how Judd would murder him. But ultimately, after a long and intense discussion, the kids decided to venture into the kitchen.
-
“You promised to be nice,” You said over your shoulder, holding Judd’s hand as you pulled him to the kitchen.
“I am nice.” He huffed, letting go of your hand and instead reaching out to grab your waist. He gently lifted you, setting you down on the counter top before stepping in between your legs. For a moment you thought he would lead it somewhere, but your face morphed into a gentle smile when he buried his face in your neck, hands gently rubbing up and down your sides.
You softly stroked his hair, making the angry agent of chaos visibly relax as he melted into your touch. “You didn’t even last ten seconds,” You muttered, immediately recognizing his actions as jealousy.
He breathed out against your neck, and you couldn’t help but softly laugh at the tingly feeling. “It was nice enough for me to make the popcorn, do you want me to fucking hand feed them too?” He grumbled, straightening up so he could glare down at you.
You rolled your eyes. “Calm down there, Mr. grumpy-pants. All I ask is that you remain civil for the night, or at least until the movie’s over,” You gave him your very best puppy dog eyes, reaching up to gently brush your hands over his jaw again. Reluctantly, he leaned into your touch, fighting to keep his angry glare.
Even if he wanted to, he couldn’t deny how absolutely soft he was for you. Your touch calmed him like no other, not even horror movies or tormenting the neighbourhood made him feel as gleeful as when you touched him.
He hummed in response, not really registering what you said, too focused on your touch. His own hands travelled from your waist to your thighs, gently squeezing. You let out a soft little sigh and instantly Maury appeared.
‘What? What’d I miss? You’re gonna fuck?’ The hormone monster asked, observing the situation. ‘Oooh! You should totally have a quickie, let’s see how many fingers you can stuff in her before the kids find out!’ He grinned, shaking Judd by the shoulders.
“Shut the fuck up.” Judd growled, making Maury let out a series of horse laughs. ‘Oh ho ho ho! At least get a good feel of her boob, we need something to get through the movie!’ He said dramatically, before patting Judd’s head and walking off in search of new entertainment.
Judd thought about it for a moment, before slowly sliding his right hand up your tummy until he could palm one of your tits.
“Judd,” You said, placing your hand over the one he had on your chest, but not removing it. “You gotta behave, alright? Just for tonight. And you can touch aaall you want after, I promise,” You said, finishing the sentence with a long kiss to his cheek.
“Fuck. Okay, fine.” He relented, removing his hand from your boob and intertwining his fingers with yours instead. He leaned in, pressing a series of wet kisses to your jaw and neck.
You hummed happily, half closing your eyes until you caught movement somewhere over Judd’s shoulders. You immediately straightened up, opening your eyes fully only to make eye contact with four completely stupefied middle schoolers.
The kids were too stunned to speak, literally.
Andrew was stammering incoherently, Nick seemed to find the ceiling very interesting, Missy and Jessi had both turned completely red in face but for very different reasons.
“Oh. Hello,” You said awkwardly, pushing Judd away and jumping off the counter quickly.
Your boyfriend in question let out a disappointed grunt, murderously glaring down the kids but keeping quiet. You all stood in complete silence for a few, agonisingly long seconds, until Andrew finally spoke up.
Still wringing his hands, the preteen stepped slightly closer to you. “Y/n, I’m very sorry to interrupt. But could I maybe get a glass of milk? It would really help with my nervous stomach—“ You cut him off before he could go into further detail about his digestive system and smiled warmly at him.
“—Of course. Why don’t you follow Judd back into the living room, he’ll start the movie for you and then I’ll be right out. Okay?”
If looks could kill, you’d be six feet under.
Judd bore holes through your back with his eyes, as you turned to open the fridge. “O-okay! Once again, thank you Y/n,” Andrew said, seemingly relieved.
Slowly the kids turned to walk out the kitchen, drizzling out one after the other. Jessi bore a somewhat mischievous smile, walking a bit slower on purpose in hopes she could walk next to Judd. Your boyfriend sighed heavily, uncrossing his arms and following after the kids. He was slowly coming to realise that he had no other choice, than to be a slave for a gang of middle schoolers.
The kids were again stiffly seated on the couch, this time with Judd sitting in the far end. Jessie had glued herself to his side, shamelessly sitting as close to him as possible. He was sure he would accidentally hit her if he moved his arm just the slightest.
He was holding the remote, quickly flicking through movies on netflix as the kids fought over what to watch.
“Shut the fuck up.” He barked. “I’ll find you a good movie,” And by “good movie'' he meant the absolutely goriest horror flick netflix had to offer.
Judd grinned sinisterly as he chose a movie, looking over to see the kids all sporting comically shocked expressions.
Andrew carefully glanced at Judd. “Excuse me, Judd, but are you sure this movie is suitable for children?” He asked.
“Y-yeah. Doesn’t that say you have to be sixteen..? My mom said I shouldn’t watch scary movies until I feel ready,” Missy added.
Nick didn’t say anything. He was scared enough of his brother already to disagree openly with him, and he also didn’t want to seem like a wimp in front of Jessi.
“It’s about time you little pussies grow up. Be quiet and just watch the fucking movie,” Judd said, as mischievously as his monotone voice would allow him to sound.
Jessi nodded gravely. “Yeah, guys. Shut up. It’s just a movie,” She said, looking up at Judd with big eyes for approval. He only grunted, pressing start on the remote.
Within the first few minutes, Andrew and Nick were clinging to each other. Missy was curled in on herself, watching the movie through her spread fingers. Judd grinned evilly, satisfied with his choice as he started digging through his pockets.
He was quick to dig up a lighter and half a blunt. A bloody jumpscare in the movie made Jessi jerk and grab onto Judd’s arm, slightly shaking. He sighed deeply, annoyed, but let it slide. He lit the blunt, throwing his feet up on the coffee table and tilting his head back as he inhaled deeply.
“Judd, I told you not to smoke inside,” You grumbled, returning to the living room with drinks and even more popcorn. Judd raised his head slightly, cocking an eyebrow at you. “Shut up,” He simply said, gesturing to the way Jessi was clinging to him.
You had to stifle a laugh, quickly setting the snacks on the coffee table and handing the milk to Andrew, who reached out to take it with a shaky hand, refusing to look at the tv.
Upon noticing the lack of space on the couch, Judd beckoned you to his lap. You happily sat down, Jessi giving you a disturbed look as your body gently pushed hers away.
“What the hell are we even watching?” You asked, Judd shrugged. “Dunno. Summer camp massacre something,” He said, handing you the blunt as you got comfortable on his lap.
You took a long drag, nuzzling into Judd as his hands came down to hold your waist, pulling you closer to him. “Guys,” Missy suddenly whispered, eyes glued to you and Judd. “Is that.. Marijuana.. As in drugs?”
Judd chuckled, you could feel him move beneath you as you struggled to keep from laughing yourself.
You said the only appropriate answer you could scrape from your brain; “Well.. Yeah.”
Missy’s eyes grew to sorcerers. “You can’t do that! Marijuana is a gateway drug! It could mess up your brain- Oh fudge! It could mess up my brain from inhaling secondhand!”
This time you couldn’t conceal your giggle, handing the blunt back to Judd as you leaned forward. You smiled softly at the younger. “Don’t worry about it, Missy. You’re way too smart to be corrupted by secondhand smoke,” You said. Missy nodded reluctantly, a small smile appearing on her face as she accepted the compliment.
“Mom will actually kill you,” Jessi mumbled and you fondly ruffled her hair. “She won’t if you keep your mouth shut.” You teased, as she scowled at you. Her eyes quickly left yours, to blatantly stare at Judd as he blew clouds of smoke out his nose. He truly looked like an angry dragon, staring at the movie screen with furrowed brows.
Jessi went bright red, looking away immediately when Judd turned to meet her gaze. You grinned, ruffling her hair again before relaxing back into your boyfriend. Judd gave another annoyed grumble, but soon relaxed himself.
Somehow, the kids managed to be quiet for the duration of the movie as you finished the blunt and most of the snacks.
Jessi fell asleep against you, having ended up clutching your hand for safety (probably from the masked killer on screen). Missy fell asleep against Andrew, the two huddled in a pile. Nick had slid down from the couch, attempting to hide from the movie but ending up sleeping under the coffee table.
By the time credits came on screen, you and Judd were the only ones awake. Pleasantly hazy from the smoke session, you turned your head to smile at him.
“You were so good. I like nice Judd,” You muttered, leaning up to press a soft, slow kiss to his lips.
He immediately deepened the kiss, claiming his price. In a horny daze, his hands migrated to your butt and his tongue invaded your mouth. You sighed, a bit too loudly and let your own hands wander. Over his shoulders, rubbing down his chest and abdomen till eventually they rested just over his belt.
The hiss that escaped him as your hands pressed to his crotch, definitely did not go unnoticed and you responded in kind by moving from his lips, messily gliding wet kisses down his jaw and neck. You bit him playfully, but still hard enough to leave indents in his perfectly smooth neck.
‘Oooh, baby!’ Right on time, Connie appeared at your side. She purred like a cat, curling around you and Judd on the couch. ‘Why don’t you hurry and jump right on up on that delicious dick of his? You know he can make you feel reeeeeaaaal good,’ She drawled.
Barely acknowledging her, you dumbly nodded in agreement.
‘Hurry, dumpling! Don’t got much time before the kiddies wake up,’ She urged you, poking Jessi with a long fingernail, and indeed, your sister was starting to stir.
You could only let out a frustrated huff. Judd had your hair fisted in one hand and your hip clutched tightly in the other, helping you rut yourself against his growing bulge in long, hazy strokes. He felt good, you felt good, everything felt so, so good and moving away from the heavenly friction could not be more of a bother.
You leaned forward a bit, which came with resistance considering his tight grip on your hair, and whined lowly in his ear.
Gently, you nosed at his cheek. “Judd.. the kitchen. C’mon,” You breathed.
He retaliated by grinding up into you, much harder than before, allowing you to feel the entirety of his now, very hard, length. You moaned loudly in response.
“We need to.. the kitchen— they’re waking up,” It was a difficult task to form the right words, with the increased amount of pleasure, so you scratched his shoulders, gently, to get your point across.
Leaning in, he captured your lips in a hard kiss, licking into your mouth with such fervour your head was spinning. He let go, biting down on your bottom lip and dragging it back before pulling away completely.
“Stupid fucking kids,” He gritted, tongue swiping over his lips, plump from kissing.
Heaving, you bit your bottom lip and batted your eyelashes at him in a most sultry display that was sure to make Connie proud. A sinister grin spread across his face, when he got an idea and he let go of your hair in favour of kneading your ass in both his hands.
“I’ll fuck you on the table, slut, be grateful.” It was a demand, but you didn’t mind because right at that moment, nothing truly sounded more pleasing than getting railed on the dining table in your mothers kitchen.
A shudder went through you at the thought, warmth slushing in your belly and still, you grinned coyly at him. “Only because you were so well behaved. I’m starting to think you actually like them, Juddy-Wuddy?” You said, motioning to the four kids as you cooed at him.
You got him with that one. Watching with glee as his jaw clenched and he sent you a look that could only mean one of two things; he was going to kill you or plow you until you could no longer walk. You highly suspected the latter.
Your boyfriend scoffed. “It’s almost cute how damn smart you think you are, huh? You fucking bitch.” He glowered. He despised when you called him that, one of the many terrible nicknames you had overheard his mom call him, and he always fell right into your trap.
Before you could start to respond, he was rising from the couch, hands manoeuvring under your thighs to lift you up with him. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, legs tighter around his waist to keep his clothed cock pressed up against your core, and nuzzled your face into his neck.
His hands were warm on your thighs, so big they almost covered them entirely when he spread his fingers. You latched onto his neck again, engraving lots of little purple marks, just how he liked it.
His response came as a strained grunt, as he barreled into the kitchen and dropped you on the corner dining table.
The table was cold, you squealed as your thighs dragged along the cool surface and Judd wasted no time, leaning over you and pushing your skirt up to expose your panties.
A sinister grin spread across his face when he found your panties were already damp and soaked, his award for being a prime example of a boyfriend this evening.
You bucked your hips, mewling for attention and hoping he would be quick to relieve you of the throbbing between your thighs.
He laughed, low and husky as he watched you writhe on the table beneath him. Your lips were swollen and plump, a deep blush covered your cheeks and your hair was messily spread out over the table’s surface. His dick ached.
‘Boi-oi-oi-oing!’ Maury was right behind him, a wild smile split his face and he let his tongue hang out, looking more like a rabid dog than a hormone monster.
‘C’mon! Shove your fist inside her, she obviously wants it!’ Maury barked, shaking Judd by the shoulders. The teen shook him off, grumbling a threat as he returned to the task at hand.
You heaved in a breath, tongue coming out to wet your lips again. “Judd, I swear to god, do something—“ You pleaded, desperately.
“— have patience. And shut the fuck up.” Judd grunted, long fingers creeping towards the wet patch on your panties. Then, he pressed down, right in the middle of the wetness where your much neglected clit sat.
Gasping, you reached out to grasp his bicep. He pressed down again, keeping his thump there and swirling it in circles. You gasped and whined his name softly, the wet fabric glided over your most sensitive part so well it was hard to think about keeping quiet.
He was quick to silence you with a kiss, however, as his left hand finally, finally, left the wet patch to pull your panties off. You helped him shake them off, too focused with the cool air blowing on your hot core to notice how he crumbled up your panties and stuffed them in his back pocket.
You begged for him again, whines disappearing into his open mouth as he kept it slotted over yours.
He shushed you, putting his weight on his right hand as he leaned in further between your legs, suddenly stuffing two fingers into you, in one smooth motion. You cried out so loudly and desperately that not even Judd’s wet kisses could conceal it, he gave you another rough thrust of his fingers in retaliation.
Your eyes were half closed, lips forming an ‘o’ as he pulled away from your mouth to bite at your neck. His fingers reached a depth that your own could not, hitting a softer, mushier spot in your pussy that had you seeing stars each time. He was so rough with his thrusts too, working quickly and effectively to bring you to ecstasy and making the table rattle slightly. You could only pray that the slight scraping on the tiled kitchen floor could not be heard in the living room.
What was much louder, however, were your own loud gasps and breathy moans of your boyfriend's name. The closer you got, the louder your pleas became.
Judd bit your neck again, hard enough to turn the skin purple. “I said, be quiet, bitch.” He groaned into your neck, panting slightly as the pace of his hand increased.
You tried, but really couldn’t. The lewd squelching sound and the rapid stroking of his two fingers against your g-spot had you mewling and bucking against him. And it certainly didn’t help, when his thumb pressed down on your clit as well.
His slender fingers didn’t create much of a stretch, but you knew he was preparing you for his monstrous cock and because his fingers were so deliciously long the waiting time was never disappointing.
You could vaguely hear Connie bustling about in the background, shouting her encouragement and coaxing you to tell Judd all sorts of lewd things. You didn’t listen, you couldn’t when you were so, so close to your breaking point.
With your body on fire, liquid pleasure in your veins, your toes curled and you tilted your head to allow Judd better access to the unmarked parts of it. He graciously took the opportunity, returning his grip on your head to position you just how he wanted.
Your thighs clenched around Judd’s arm, lip trembling as your eyes crossed in pleasure. “Judd..!”
And then he was pulling away, you whined desperately in the process, only to be silenced with a large hand slapped across your mouth.
“I told you to be quiet, bitch.” He snarled, his voice now so deep and feral it made you shiver. He squeezed your cheeks together, a bit of drool escaped your mouth and smeared on his hand, as he pulled you to a sitting position. “Didn’t I?”
Your pussy throbbed, clenching around nothing at both the rough treatment and being so suddenly void of stimulation.
With your cheeks squished together, you couldn’t respond, so you opted for frantically nodding your head, softly whining out for him. You needed him inside you, and it had to be now.
You rutted yourself against the table, slick following you and making a trail on the wooden surface, it felt good, but definitely not as good as Judd’s cock would feel.
“Pw-pf..a..e.. Pwase!” You begged him, hands wandering towards his belt, feeling him up and unbuckling his belt buckle. You gasped quietly, he was so hard it had to hurt and the feeling of him pressed to your palm made you clench around nothing again. Despite the layers of clothes between you.
He moaned, but reached down to gather both wrists in his free hand and pinning them together. “You think you think you deserve that? After all the fucking noise you made?”
You cried out and nodded. Judd grinned sinisterly. “You’re so pathetic, you little slut. You know that?”
You wanted to kick him, or at least insult him back but the throbbing in your cunt and the fact that his words only made that throb so much worse, made it quite hard to do so.
Then, he leaned in, resting his chin on top of your head and inhaled your hair deeply. “You’re my little slut.” He grunted and, oh, you could have cum right there.
You nuzzled into him, burying your head where his neck became his chest and started leaving small, wet kisses.
He didn’t let go of either your wrists or mouth, instead he barked one simple order; “Off.” and brought your bound wrists towards his crotch again.
You didn’t need to be told twice, immediately getting to work and shoving both his pants and underwear as far down as your position would allow you to grab at his dick.
Hissing in pleasure, he pulled you closer to him. He was throbbing and warm in your hand, heavy and so swollen the head had almost turned purple, you tried lifting yourself up, tried to get just the tiniest bit of friction.
You pumped him slowly, he was sticky with pre-cum already and he dropped his head into your hair again, burying his face into you with a strained groan. He, too, was close to his breaking point.
Letting your wrists and cheeks free, he opted to grab under both your hips, lifting them up to hover above his dick. You let go of him, fingers coming to scratch at the table as he did the remainder of work for you and you fell back on the table.
“This what you want?” He grunted, thrusting experimentally and nudging his cockhead against your swollen little pearl.
“Yes.. yes, yes! Please, Judd, it hurts, I need it..!” You blabbered, cheeks puffy and face screwed up as you felt your empty pussy ache with anticipation. Only your boyfriend's dick could ease the twang in your lower belly.
He inhaled sharply through his nose, face set in stone and brows drawn together as he finally thrusted into you, filling you so completely in that one thrust, that you suddenly felt too full.
The bit of pain from the wide stretch you felt melted into white-hot pleasure almost as soon as it appeared and when Judd pressed a bit more into you, his hip bones meeting yours, you came instantly.
You cried out, overwhelmed by the sudden and immense pleasure. Judd cursed, rather loudly and tried pressing further into you, holding you flush against him as you clenched uncontrollably around him. You were even tighter now, so tight it almost hurt and so he waited for you to ride out your orgasm, breathing heavily.
“Shit.. fuck you! Ah!” He nearly whined at the feeling, blunt nails digging into the plush flesh on your hips.
Panting, sobbing and sighing, you slowly came down from your orgasm, not at all ready when Judd suddenly started thrusting again. You were already overstimulated, but the wide stretch and feeling of his cock inside felt so heavenly.
You couldn’t help the never-ending mantra of his name that escaped you, matching each of his violent thrusts. He wanted you to feel him as deep as possible, you knew, and he made sure of it. Leaning in over you to hit you at a deeper angle, pressing down on your belly as he fucked you to see himself bulging through.
“Judd, m’so full,” You slurred, digging your nails into his shoulders, as deep as they would go. He grunted a response, sweat gathering on his dark brows; “You gotta be quiet, baby.” He was strained as he spoke, teeth clenched and warm breath fanning your face.
Then, he squeezed under your thighs again, sliding you towards the edge of the table. “Spread your legs.” He demanded gravelly, and you easily complied. He pressed himself to you further, barely pulling out after each thrust, but doubling the force in which he thrusted.
The table scraped loudly against the floor, you whimpered and tried to quiet yourself, face heating as the room filled with squelching sounds that definitely didn’t leave anything to the imagination, should anyone overhear.
Already, you started to tighten around him again, your thighs quivered as you did your best to keep them apart. Judd noticed almost immediately, bringing his thumb down upon your puffy clit.
“C’mon pretty girl, cum for me again,” He panted and you followed suit, before you could cry out, though, he captured your lips with his own, chest pressed to yours.
You sobbed into his mouth as his tongue licked flames into you, clutching him to you. His thrusts became irregular, driving you into the table until he couldn’t hold out anymore. He moved to pull out, but you stopped him, keeping him pressed against you. “Don’t.. they’ll see— in-inside.” You panted into his mouth, and almost immediately felt a slush of warm liquid fill your lower belly.
Judd grit his teeth tightly, jaw fully clenching and breath heaving. His green eyes were dark and glazed, he straightened up a little, raising himself on his forearms to look down at you.
You were drooling slightly, makeup a bit smudged as you laid out on the table, revelling in the feeling of complete satisfaction and Judd’s cum filling you.
He waited a while to pull out, watching with interest as your tummy swelled ever so slightly from the combining force of his dick and his spend.
“You’re fucking horrible at being quiet,” He eventually stated.
You puffed out your cheeks, sitting up and wrapping your arms around his shoulders. “It wasn’t me who made the table move,” you countered.
Judd’s hands ventured up your back, holding you to him. “You whine like a bitch in heat,” He countered, monotonously, in the most endearing way he could possibly put it. Because honestly, he loved the sounds you made.
Maury clapped him on the back and barked something at him, reminding him that the two of you were indeed not alone and he pulled out of you. You sighed as he slipped out, feeling your combined liquids leak out a bit as well.
He was quick to pull his pants and boxers up, turning from you to fetch a roll of paper towels. As he always did, he insisted on cleaning up for you.
You had asked him about it once, getting the lame response of; “I like to keep my things clean.”
Fixing your skirt to cover yourself, you found that your panties were nowhere in sight and fixed Judd a look.
Your boyfriend shrugged. “This is your house, just get another pair.” You blew a raspberry at him. “I’m actually gonna run out of underwear because of you.”
He didn’t care, it was quite obvious, so you kissed his jaw and jumped from the table, to get yourself a new pair. Judd didn’t miss his chance to roughly squeeze your ass as you walked past him.
-
Nick awoke to a strange sound. The loudest being the scraping of something on the floor, then he heard you cry, loud and continually as though you were in pain.
Immediately he sat up. The room was dark and the tv static, he drowsily looked around, his four friends sleeping soundly on the couch. Andrew moved his foot, coincidentally pinning Nick down with it. Groggily, he sighed and pushed Andrew off him.
He swayed a bit as he stood up, rubbing his eyes to get the sleep out of them. His brother and you weren’t anywhere to be seen, the spot where you previously was sitting now occupied by Jessi, sleeping in a starfish position.
That was when he heard the sound again, the scraping and then the desperate gasping. This time, though, he heard his brother’s raspy voice as well. What the hell was going on?
‘Judd and Y/n are wrestling,’ Suddenly his temporary hormone monster, Tyler emerged from the kitchen with a disturbed look.
“What?” Nick was way too tired to process something like that.
‘They’re rolling around on the table! Like this!’ Tyler got on top of the coffee table, and started intimidating something that definitely did not look like wrestling.
Tyler noticed Nick’s confused expression. ‘Yeah! And she keeps crying and saying his name— like, like this!’ The monster proceeded to do an utmost terrible impression of you calling for Judd and Nick cringed. ‘— and then, Judd told her to shut up and called her a slut! I think he’s gonna get her in a chokehold. I wouldn’t put my money on Y/n, though, she’s not even trying to fight him off—‘
“— Yeah, I don’t think they’re wrestling, Tyler.” Nick deadpanned, cutting the deity short. He felt his face grow increasingly red, as your sounds grew. Now, even he could hear you beg Judd for all sorts of lewd things.
‘Oh.’ Tyler blinked a couple of times. Nick shivered, he definitely did not need to hear his brother bone his girlfriend (on whom he had a crush) or explain the situation to his hormone monster.
The two of them remained in uncomfortable silence for a while, Nick pacing back and forth to clear his head of any inappropriate thoughts that Tyler was coaxing him into, once he had figured out the situation.
Eventually, Nick settled on waking Andrew.
“Andrew,” He pushed his friend and whispered again. “C’mon, wake up, Andrew,”
The latter mumbled something incoherent, adjusting his glasses in his sleep. Nick groaned and shook him, not relenting. “I never peed in that pool!” Andrew woke up shouting, and Nick tumbled back in surprise.
“What?” Nick hissed. Andrew looked about wide eyed, seemingly as groggy as Nick. “I— what?” Andrew repeated. He blinked at his friend slowly, not yet aware of the circumstances.
He pulled Andrew from the couch, and put a hand over his mouth. “Listen,” He whispered, and watched as his friend's expression turned from annoyed, to confused, to very very startled.
“Oh my god. Oh my god, oh my god!” Andrew stammered. Nick removed his hand. “Is that— are they?” His head snapped from Nick to the kitchen entrance and back again.
The shorter nodded once, stiffly. “What do we— do we do anything? We could go back to sleep before Judd— oh god, what if they find out we heard?”
Nick turned to his panicking friend, determination clear in his eyes. “We need to go see for ourselves.”
Andrew’s eyes grew impossibly larger, to the size of sorcerers. “What? No! No, no, normally I come up with those kinda terrible ideas— are you okay, Nick?” He put a clammy hand to Nick’s forehead, fauxingly checking his temperature.
Nick clicked his tongue, annoyed, and waved his friend’s hands away. “Think, Andrew! You have a crush on Y/n, I have a crush on Y/n, haven't you imagined her like that a lot of times, anyway? We can just look, really quickly,”
“Uuhh, I— I don’t know,” He stammered, eyes flicking to the kitchen door.
Nick sighed. “I’m going to go look.” His statement was final, as he marched off. Andrew wrung his hands, definitely not unaware of his own desire to see what his two designated babysitters were up to, and his legs seemed to follow after Nick all by themselves.
The two stopped by the door, neither daring to actually peek inside yet.
“Judd, m’so full,”
Both boys stiffened at the sound of your voice, breathy and begging and definitely not how you usually spoke to them.
Then, Judd grunted; “You gotta be quiet, baby.” Followed up by a harsh command of; “Spread your legs.”
Nick swallowed, and Tyler pushed him further towards the door, squealing at him to look. Suddenly, his previous courage had completely disintegrated and he looked at Andrew, panicked.
The other was just as alarmed, sweat beating his forehead as the scraping sounds picked up and they realised the weight of the situation.
They stood there for a while, completely perplexed, having been so scared off by your vulgar statements that neither dared to move. Andrew shut his eyes tightly, shifting his weight from foot to foot as he heard Maury in the room as well. He was barking orders at Judd, all of which went completely ignored, and cheering the two of you on.
Then, after what felt like aeons, the noise quieted down and the two preteens listened as you had a quiet conversation. Judd was way less mean, when he talked to you in private, they both noted. Only when you went off to get another pair of briefs, did they realise their mistake. But it was too late for them to move, instead they both stood there with rapidly beating hearts, faces bathed in red with sheepish expressions as you exited the room.
You stuck your head out the entrance first, yelling in surprise when you caught sight of the two boys. “Oh my god.” You breathed, then realising that they probably heard most of what just went on.
Caught red handed, you couldn’t bear to look neither of them in the eyes. You straightened, quickly walking past them and holding your skirt tightly around your bottom.
Levelling your voice the best you could, you called to them over your shoulder; “Judd’s in the kitchen, if you need anything,” You squeaked, bounding upstairs to your room before they could properly take in your dishevelled appearance.
Nick panicked, now they had to go in the kitchen, or suspicion would surely arise. He grabbed onto Andrew’s sleeve, willing his legs to move and take the final few steps into the kitchen.
Into the dragon's den, where Judd, the dragon resided.
“H-hi. Judd.” Nick stammered. Judd had his back to them, raiding the fridge for anything to drink. You had only stocked up on diet sodas.
The older teen acknowledged them with a grunt, not bothering to turn before his drink-mission was complete. The two boys stood awkwardly in the middle of your kitchen, waiting for whatever reign of terror Judd would have prepared for them; but none came.
Judd slammed the fridge door shut, and to their total surprise, threw each boy a Diet Coke. “Need anything else?” He drawled, sauntering to the table and slumping down in a chair. He opened a coke for himself and got comfortable in his chair, downing almost the entire can in one go.
Andrew and Nick shared a glance, and simultaneously inched towards the table. The two of them sat down quietly, still waiting for Judd to scare them away.
But he was completely out of character, for once, he looked kinda relaxed. Albeit a bit sweaty and tousled, but as calm as Nick had ever seen his older brother. His eyes lingered on Judd’s neck, where he bore a collection of teeth indents, smudges from your lipstick and hickeys.
The three sat in silence for a bit, listening as the light under the cabinets buzzed and eventually Judd got up to fetch another soda.
“You want any more?” He asked the two, and they politely declined. He shrugged and returned to the table with a new can.
Nick fiddled with the top of his can, eyes flitting around the room nervously. “Judd. Can I ask you a question?” He dared not look up as he spoke, keeping his eyes planted on the table.
Judd grunted, his way of saying ‘go ahead.’
“Why are you being so nice to us?” The question visibly caught Judd a bit off guard, he stopped drinking for a brief moment, thinking the question over before his stoic exterior returned.
“Y/n wants me to be nice to you. She likes you small assholes,” He shrugged.
Andrew looked at the older bewildered. “Y/n told you to be nice to us?” He asked, voice cracking as if he couldn’t believe his own ears.
Judd frowned. “That’s what I said, wasn’t it?” He snapped.
Andrew swallowed thickly. “Y-yeah. Sorry,”
“But— I mean, why? She’s not even here, and, you usually don’t listen to anyone,” Nick was unrelenting, now past the point of caring if Judd would beat him up for asking questions.
A pregnant pause wove through the room, as Judd thought about the question. He still looked considerably less angry than usual, but his features were set in a frown and his brows drew together and made it look like he was planning something sinister.
“I do what she says because I love her.” He said eventually, glaring off into space as he thought his answer over.
Neither of the two boys could believe their ears. The Judd Birch had just declared his love publicly. It must have been the post-nut clarity.
When they failed to respond, he continued on; “Sometimes you gotta do dumb shit, even if it’s fucking annoying, to keep a girl.” He mumbled, still deep in thought. Had the situation been different, Nick would have found it quite funny to hear Judd talk about such tender things in his gruff voice.
Andrew leaned over the table, adjusting his glasses. “Is— Is that how you get a girlfriend?”
At that, the corners of Judd’s lips moved upwards ever so slightly. He turned fully to them, a wicked look in his eyes. “That’s how you get laid, numbnuts.”
Then Nick cut in; “But what after? What if I like this girl, and I really wanna touch her boobs, but I also want to talk to her. I mean just talk. Because she’s smart, and funny, and really nice,”
Judd dug through his back pocket, pulling out a pack of cigarettes and opened the window on the wall behind him. He stuck one between his lips, and offered the pack up to the boys.
“We’re twelve.”
Judd merely shrugged and lit his own cigarette. “If you wanna touch her tits, you gotta talk to her first. And don’t be a little creep. Charm her and shit,” He explained.
Nick deadpanned. “Charm her?” Judd was everything but charming. It would forever remain the greatest mystery to him, how his brother managed to pull any girls at all.
Andrew pushed up his glasses. “Actually, what Judd is saying is true. You need to make her feel as if you care about her—“
“—I do care about her!” Nick protested.
Judd flicked a bit of his cigarette off over the window still. “Then it’s easy. Just talk to her, pussy.” He inhaled a long drag. “If she’s into small pricks, you’ll be just her type.”
The younger pouted. “Not funny, Judd.”
Judd cackled, lowly, sinisterly. “Then, how do you know if a girl likes you?” Andrew asked.
“She lets you touch her tits.”
Nick sighed. “C’mon, Judd! There has to be more to it— I mean, you have a girlfriend, so you obviously know.”
The eldest grunted and exhaled smoke through his nose. He thought for a bit before replying; “I was at a party, and I saw this girl, Y/n, and she was really fucking hot. Is really fucking hot,” He fixed the two middle schoolers a pointed look. “So I talked to her, turns out she’s really fucking sweet too. And when you meet a girl like that, all the rest comes naturally,” He finished his explanation, a bit smug as the two boys looked at him in wonder.
“Not to offend, b—but haven’t you dated lots of girls? How’d you do that?” Andrew asked.
Judd put his cigarette out in his, now empty, coke can. “Sure I have. You can also just fuck girls, but it’s a lot more fun if you like them,” He said.
“How do I do that, then? Do I have to talk to her too, even if I don’t like her?” Andrew was a bit eager now, but Nick had to admit that he was also itching for answers.
“No matter what, you gotta talk to her. Maybe not for long, and if you just wanna fuck, you have to say the right things,” He said, and then quickly added. “But don’t do that. I don’t want you two turning into little dicks,”
“Then.. What if you’re already friends with her?” It was a bit of a jump in topic, but Nick had to get answers, and right now was probably the only time he had the opportunity to ask.
Judd snorted. “You want to fuck one of your friends out there?” He cackled, motioning to the living room.
Nick turned red very quickly. “No.”
“Fuck, you’re a little simp!” The eldest was finding Nick’s personal troubles a little too funny, and he huffed, glaring at his brother. “But all the rules still apply. Be charming, talk to her, and don’t be a creep.” Judd eventually added, nodding at his brother.
“Thank you, Judd.” Nick muttered, and he meant it.
“Yeah, thank you, Judd,” Andrew echoed.
Judd grunted. “Yeah, whatever. But don’t, ever, spy on me and Y/n again. I mean it. Or I will gut both of you like fucking fish.”
Hi, hello,, thank you of making it this far!

Nanami with Parent and Teacher Conference.
Tumblr media
"So your son is sent to office because of his bad mouth and behavior earlier." Your son's teacher said as for welcoming both of you and nanami on her office.
You specifically don't like this teacher by how many times you have seen her flirt with the other male teacher after stating that she is married with whole three toddler kids, but you still want to hear what she gotta say about your son's report.
"Well yeah we wanted to know on what is the reason for this whole thing.." Nanami said as he sat down deliciously you could see the teacher's eyes with lust almost licking her drooling mouth, you understand it you would too.
"I didn't know the whole reason, The whole class are having an activity and i saw your son seems like having a trouble with understanding on what contains the paper. So I walked to his table and ask if i can help him, he told me to go away before he starts floating and spinning around in circle because i was built like a planet." The teacher said with very sad and disappointed voice, at first your were sleepy on how slow she talks and started coughing after hearing what she said trying to hide your laughter same goes your husband beside you.
The teacher was looking at both of you confused to not phased after remembering how many times both of you and nanami laughed about something you heard funny.
As both of you straighten yourselves and face the teacher infront of you, "Oh ma'am we are very sorry for his behavior.. It's probably because of the tv shows he watch." You explained as you put your hands on your chest pretty surprised by how concerned you sound.
"Yes thank you. It's very nice to have a talk with borh of you." The teacher finally stated ending the whole conversation as all of you standed, the teacher stretched her arms out to offer a handshake with nanami.
As nanami was shooting you with a glare from your eyes to the teachers hand, which you get the note as you quickly slapped your palm with hers giving her a handshake for nanami as both of you smiled.
Leaving the office room is awkward you hated by how quiet it is you wanted to laugh for no reason but hold it until you guys completely leave the room.
Outside the room there's your kid who is sitting down on the waiting area hugging his bag on his lap pulling up his head as he hears both of your shoes nearing him.
"Hi mama, hi papa.." He said as he cheekly smile which make his dimples show both sides of his cheeks, you swear to every man you son looks just like his dad.
"Why in the heaven did you say that to your teacher? You know that's disrespectful." You stated as you were looking down at your kid as he stood up putting his bag into his bag, "You told me to be honest." Your son excused as you pinch his ears not too tight to hurt him but enough to make him yelp a little as he was already used to it.
"You little silly kid." You said as you finally let go making your son pout as he rub his ears which started coloring a bit dark pink, Nanami always admired on how you discipline.
When he used to be a kid his parents spank him with a whole slippers in his ass. Though it was normal that time it's still an abuse, if he is gonna be honest he didn't learn anything because of that abuse.
Nanami didn't experience his parents to read him a book to his sleep, sang him a lullaby, comfort him when he sees an imaginary monster, to hug him during the times he is having a nightmare, even to kiss him to his sleep whispering him a soft good night.
So seeing you do all that to your son is already healing his traumas when he was a kid, he knew so well to do the opposite of what his parents did to him.
"Don't do that again, Your mother and i are gonna be sad to see you break your opportunity to learn because of that behavior, okay?" Nanami said as he kneel down to his level as your son looked at him with shining dedication into his eyes, "Yes dad! I promise to not do that again, pinky promise!" Your son said and smiled once again showing his one lost tooth in the middle before showing left and right pinky fingers for both of you and nanami to use as a promise.
As all of you curled your fingers into each other, this things work for all of you and you know that your son is gonna keep his promise from his mind, heart and soul.
"So McDonald's?" Nanami asked as both of you stood up after the promise, "Yeheyy!!" Your son happily exclaimed as he throw his arms in the air before hugging yours and nanamis legs, "I love you mama. I love you papa."

Come Back Safe
Tumblr media
Pairing: Park Chanyoung x reader
Genre: imagine, reunion, fluff(?)
Warning: not edited, pre sweet home events, reference to enlistment, vague mention of celebrity treatment during enlistment, mentions of guns, cursing, crying
Synopsis: You and your boyfriend were only supposed to part for a little while for his enlistment. But with the outbreak, you're not even sure of his status. And yet, the world works in mysterious ways.
Note: Because it felt too soon/too close to home to write this for woodz. But hey! sweet home 💃; also jinyoung is insane in the left picture 😵‍💫. I don't know when Chanyoung is said to be enlisted but I assumed it would be some months before the events of Sweet Home S1 happen.
── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
"Are you sure you're okay with waiting for me?" Chanyoung asked as he set his bags down. The two of you had just became exclusive; you had been on dates with one another but only decided on your relationship recently.
"Yes, you just focus on getting back to me safely" you told him with a nod and smile. You were scared for him, that he'd be treated badly due to his celebrity status or become hurt at some point during his enlistment. Chanyoung hummed before pulling you into a hug.
"I will be. Promise me that you'll keep yourself safe as well" he said before pecking whatever he could reach. You hit him on the shoulder and laughed.
"What the worse that could happen to me in the civilian world?"
"Just promise me. It'll make me feel at ease."
"Okay. I promise~" You pulled away to place your pinky finger between you. The baseball star snickered as he interlocked his into yours. He pressed a kiss onto your lips with a smile.
"Seal it with a kiss" Chanyoung whispered before pulling entirely away from you. You stood in a slight stupor at his actions, that was insanely smooth. You complained at him, explaining he shouldn't tease you before leaving for roughly two years. The enlisted male only laughed, playfully grabbing your hands to fight you off. The two of you struggling against the other whilst your stomaches began to ache from the fits of laughter. Chanyoung relaxed his arms, allowing you to lean in close to his chest, the two of you successfully out of breath. "Okay, I've really got to get going" he panted as he released your arms and sat to put his boots on properly. You watched as he did so, continuing until he had all of his bags gathered up and was opening the door.
"Be safe, I mean it" you told him, leaning onto the door frame. You knew that it was just bad timing and there was nothing you could do, but you wished you didn't have to be separated from your boyfriend so early on. Chanyoung saluted with a smile before blowing a kiss and heading down your apartment complex hallway. The two of you decided that it'd be best for you not to send him off at the gate to avoid dealing with the news tabloids; meaning this would be the last time you'd see him until his break or a visit.
-
'Shit!' you cursed in your mind. You had thought that moving early in the morning would prevent you from meeting others. You were especially trying to avoid soldiers, the civilians were bad enough, you didn't need to deal with people with gun access. Hiding behind a pillar, you thought about what your next move would be. The sound of voices caught your attention, you whipped your head in the direction it came from. Listening in to their conversation, you let out a sigh of relief at the their addressing. Watching the two males on the balcony, you decided to head inside the building anyway; any medicine you could get your hands on would do some good in the long run making it worth the risk.
~
'Fuck' you cursed in your head once again. You hadn't seen the tray behind you; and of course, your elbow bumped it causing it to crash to the floor. You turned your head in the door's direction, praying silently that no one would come to check it out. Though it would be a death sentence to not a noise out in recent events.
"I thought the building was empty?" a female voice asked.
"I'm not sure. Stay here, I'll check" a male voice responded. You heard the female scoff at his words but she didn't make anymore verbal protest. The room you managed to sneak and ransack was barren of any hiding spots. Running a hand through your hair, you closed your eyes with no choice but to accept whatever fate that came. "Who are you?" the male asked.
"Human" was the only thing you said as you opened your eyes again. You were left shocked by the person standing in the doorway. Standing there was Chanyoung pointing a weapon in your face. Your boyfriend was alive, seemingly safe and sound, with a gun trained on you.
"Y/N?"
"Chanyoung?"
The two of you spoke at the same time. The former baseball player lowered his weapon, staring at your figure in similar shock.
"Where have you been this whole time?" Chanyoung exclaimed as he practically threw the gun to the side. You said nothing as he strides closer to you. "Are you okay? Have you been safe?" the male asked. Chanyoung grabbed you, checking over what he could see for any visible injuries. He pulled you into a hug when he didn't find any, his right hand caressing your hair. You brought your hands up, lightly setting them onto the male's lower back. You began shaking as you released tears, one's of relief and frustration. "What's wrong?" Chanyoung panicked as he tried to pull away but you held onto his clothing.
"You're safe. You came back safe, you kept our promise" you whispered in between your sniffles. You ignored your boyfriend's coos as you buried yourself deeper into his arms.

Grief (A Friend Indeed) Part 10
Just two more chapters to go and then this little story is done. I'm glad I wrote it. It was very cathartic for me. I hope it brought some comfort to you too.
Here we find out who Steve has been grieving this whole time and that Eddie mourned them too.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9
****
Steve was quiet and contemplative on the trip back. And Eddie let him be. That was quite the roller coaster of emotion he had gone through and he knew Steve needed time to sort out all of his thoughts and feelings.
As they neared Ashland, Eddie asked, “Are you okay? It got pretty heavy back there.”
“Sorry,” Steve murmured.
“I wasn’t asking for forgiveness,” Eddie admonished gently. “I was asking if you were okay.”
Steve sighed. “I guess I just had so many things bottled up that it all came out in a rush.”
“So talk to me,” Eddie said softly. “I know you think you can’t talk to anyone else because they’re all younger than you. But I’m not. So spill.”
Steve let out a long shuddering breath as if he had been holding it in for years.
“It’s just there have only ever been two adults involved in the whole Upside Down shit,” Steve murmured. “Well, there have been others, but either they haven’t been trustworthy or they’ve died. And I’m not going to lie and say I’m not bitter about Mrs Byers taking her family out to California and leaving me as the remaining adult.”
“Oh shit,” Eddie said softly. He hadn’t even thought about that. “That wasn’t right. I get she was trying to get Will and El as far away from Hawkins as she could, but considering the frequency of the U.D. coming back, it does seem selfish when looked at from your point of view.”
“El wasn’t the only one grieving Hopper’s death,” Steve spat out. “Why were only her feelings taken into consideration? Why was his funeral ‘a private family’ affair instead of one benefiting a hero where the whole town could attend? Why was El the first one that got to see him? Why did it take days before anyone else was informed?”
Eddie saw a shoulder and pulled off onto it, the Bimmer crunching the gravel as it slowed to a stop.
“It must have been so hard on you,” Eddie murmured. “You mentioned back at the diner that he always looked out for you and then suddenly he was gone and no one thought to ask you if you needed time to grieve, right?”
Steve nodded. “I just felt so stupid after it was announced that he was alive, you know? Like how dare I mourn someone who hadn’t even died. But I thought that once everything settled down we would get a chance to talk, but nope. He went off to California with the Byers. They’re supposed all be back before school starts, but who knows if that’s even true.”
“Steve it isn’t stupid you grieved,” Eddie murmured. “But I bet if you told him what you’ve been feeling, he’d pretty upset that he hurt you like that.”
Tears started streaming down Steve’s face. “I just want to be loved as much I love them, is that really too much to ask for?”
Eddie unbuckled his seatbelt and pulled him in for a hug. “Of course it’s not. And I don’t doubt if you stopped to really think about it you can name at least a half a dozen people who love you as much as you love them.”
Steve let out a watery chuckle. “I could probably fill up all ten of my fingers, if I was honest to myself.”
Eddie wiped away his tears. “There you have it, big boy. But it’s okay to cry and if you feel like you need to fall apart, call me. I’ll come over with beer, weed, and bad horror films to mock until you laugh.”
Steve wiped his nose on his arm. “You promise?”
Eddie leaned back far enough to hold up his pinkie. “I pinkie promise.”
Steve hooked his finger around Eddie’s and shook on it.
“You ready to face the road again?” Eddie asked.
Steve nodded. After a moment or two of silence, he spoke up. “You remember when ‘fake’ cried for Keith?” He used his fingers around the word fake to put it into air quotes.
Eddie, who was about to pull into traffic again, cut the engine. “Holy shit. It was Hopper, wasn’t it? That’s who you were remembering.”
Steve nodded. “It’s easy to cry when thinking about him, you know?”
“Because it’s new and even though he’s not dead, you never got your resolution?”
Steve nodded again. “I just feel so selfish about the whole thing, you know. He wasn’t my dad. I wasn’t related to him in anyway. But I thought I meant something to him, you know?”
Eddie turned the car back on and eased into traffic. “I’m sure you meant a lot to him, but there could be extenuating circumstances that prevented him from expressing that. Like I said before, I bet if you told him how you felt he’d be gutted.”
Steve just shrugged.
Eddie glanced over at him and then back at the road. “You tell anyone about this and I’ll tell Dustin about the time you flirted with his mom to get the brownie recipe.”
Steve’s went wide. “That was not flirting! I was just buttering her up a bit. That’s not the same thing.”
“Oh I know that,” Eddie said with a grin. “But would Dustin know the difference?”
Steve thought about it for a moment. “You drive a hard bargain, Lord Eddie.”
Eddie giggled. “You know, sometimes I forget you like ‘Star Wars’, you just aren’t great with their titles.”
“The third one is my favorite, after all.”
Eddie cleared his throat. “So back when I was just little metalhead, dealing for the first time one of my best customers was the Chief.”
Steve blinked. “Oh wait, I think I did hear something about that. I’m surprised he wasn’t fired.”
Eddie shrugged. “He wasn’t up for re-election. Sheriffs are elected. And small town like Hawkins, change is difficult. Hop would have to straight up murder babies in town hall and smear their blood over the church walls to get people to not vote for him.”
Steve snorted. “I doubt even then. It would take him being soft on homosexuals before they ousted him.”
Eddie laughed. “You’ve got me there.”
Steve smiled at him.
“So,” Eddie continued, “the reason I bring it up is that despite what people think, I’ve never been arrested for dealing and Rick hadn’t either until Hop ‘died’.”
Steve straightened up in his seat. “What do you mean?”
“Hop always said it was better to steer Rick away from certain places because he could,” Eddie said, “then it was to arrest him and have an all out war with the new supplier.”
Steve’s eyes went wide. “That’s why Rick didn’t get arrested until Powell took over because he didn’t have the same philosophy that Hop did.”
“Right in one,” he said. “And it did get bad with people trying to fill the void he left behind. Uncle Wayne convinced to stop selling once I was out until Rick was released because I couldn’t trust the new suppliers not to cut their shit with something dangerous.”
“Holy shit, yeah,” Steve agreed. “So why are you telling me this?”
“Because Hop looked out for me, too,” Eddie said. “Especially when my old man rolled into town. He would make sure he got to the carnage first and made sure I never got a record.”
Steve scratched his cheek thoughtfully. “That makes since I always wondered why the police or Jason never brought up your arrest record. It’s because Hop made sure you never got one.”
“So this is me saying,” Eddie finished, “I get it. I get mourning him. Because in my own way I mourned him, too. Because between Hop and Uncle Wayne they made sure I could get out of Hawkins when the time came.”
“This is exactly why I pushed for a public funeral,” Steve grumbled, sinking back into his seat and crossing his arms. “I don’t know who had the final say on that, but it makes me mad that just because they didn’t have a body people in town wouldn’t want to come see anyway. It blows.”
“Here’s that,” Eddie agreed.
Too soon they were pulling up the Nelsons’ and the sun was starting to set.
By silent agreement they both got out of the car and sat on Steve’s hood to watch the sunset in a beautiful array of blues and purples until the sky darkened and the stars came out.
“Thank you for today,” Steve murmured. “For all of it. Getting me out here, taking me to my grandmother’s grave, sitting with me when I talked to Uncle Percy. Helping me with my grief even though yours is far more fresh and painful than mine.”
“Grief is grief, Stevie,” Eddie murmured. “You don’t get to decide when it heals over. You were there for me when my dad showed up, so I was more than happy to return the favor with your family.”
“Thanks, man,” Steve said.
“So...” Eddie said. “You want to tell me why you and your uncle weren’t keen to let your other uncle see you?”
Steve snorted. “He’s the one that was the most against my mom getting any kind of inheritance. He didn’t think she should have gotten anything because she was a girl child. He kept saying that she got her money in the form of the lavish wedding she had when she married my dad.”
He ran his fingers through his hair.
“He’s sued her at least three times that I know of. If he had seen me he would have started screaming about how my mom didn’t deserve that money and that I was just as complicit in its ‘theft’ as she was.”
“But he got the house or whatever it was, right?” Eddie asked.
He nodded. “Yeah and the two acres of land it sits on. If he were to sell it would go for at least a few million, easy.”
“I’ll bet,” Eddie said, whistling long and low. “Which means Percy got the business?”
“Which another thing that upset Uncle Jasper,” Steve said. “But Uncle Percy is the oldest and had the best business sense, but he can’t let it go that he thinks his siblings got the better deal.”
“I heard this quote once about how some people are content in life, but that others just can’t be. That they will always seek more. Nothing will ever be enough.”
“Uncle Jasper is definitely one of those.”
Penny poked her head out the front door. “Come on in, boys, it’s really getting late.”
Eddie and Steve stood up and walked back into the house, feeling lighter then they had since before March.

you never had much money. living as a pogue proved that, but you didn't care.
you didn't keep up with the latest cosmopolitan since you were out surfing instead.
getting dirty looks from kooks as they judged your worn-out tops to your ripped vans, but you had no shame about it. holding your head high as they whispered behind you.
from time to time you wondered how it'd be to live big and fancy, but wouldn't trade what you had with your friends for anything else.
from the lazy hangouts at the chateau to the risky adventures, the bond that pogues had was unmatched. they were your family.
so when you started your new job working at the kooks country club you wanted to show your gratitude and bought each of them small gifts.
a golden turtle broch for kiera, an expensive pair of trainers for pope, and so on and so forth.
everyone was hyped about their gifts, you received many hugs and thanks but not jj. he sat on the sofa, rolling the black marble ring that you had gotten for him between his fingers.
an appreciative smile displayed on your lips, standing up and walking over to you, interrupting the conversation that you were having with sarah. giving you a knowing nod, she sat on john b's lap across the room, her arm around his neck, his hand on her waist.
"is everything okay?" concerned as jj sat beside you, his knee knocking into your own whilst doing so.
"i cant accept this." that made you frown and your brow furrow.
"of course you can, i wanted to spoil you a little. it's well overdue from all of the times that you've either paid for my food or i've stolen yours." playfully nudging his arm with yours, jj still didn't look convinced.
"you deserve this. as much as you're talking yourself out of it, it's true. its about time you got some well-deserved appreciation." you persisted, nudging the ring gently back to his chest.
still looks doubtful you made a promise.
"okay fine if you take this, this one time, no more expensive presents. only because i have one to match." lifting your hand gesturing to your pinky, slipping his on, and wrapping his finger around your own.
"promise?"
"promise."
Tumblr media
you stuck to what you said to jj, you hadn't bought him a single expensive item, maybe treated him to dinner from time only after arguing back and forth about it, it ending in him giving in.
you had also made it your life's goal to make him gifts, whether it be finding pretty shells on the beach or decorated notes of appreciation.
yeah, it might've been insignificant to anyone else, but you felt a sense of pride when you watched his face light up at the silly little homemade trinkets.
from then on it just became a random thing you did for him even if you didn't get the others anything.
both of you agreed for him to sleep at your house since his dad was not having a... particularly good day and obviously not wanting him to be at the receiving end of it, he crashed at yours. this happened often enough that your parents let him stay over as long as the door was open.
so now you stood over the stove, stirring the pasta that was bubbling for the mac and cheese that you were making. jj making it ten times harder as he started doing stuff to distract you like eating the pre-grated cheese.
your hand slapping his wrist as he yet again went to reach his fingers into the bowl.
"i swear to god if i have to tell you again jay!" he giggled and ran out of the kitchen as you grabbed the cloth off of the side, following not far behind him.
after a while of chasing each other around the house, you finally cornered him in the living room, trying to whip the material.
unfortunately for you, he managed to snatch it out of your hands, wrapping his arms around your body and falling onto the couch on top of you so you couldn't do anything.
"let go of me!" wriggling around to find a way out.
"why would i do that when i know what the outcome will be? hey im dumb but im not that dumb."
letting out a huff, you relaxed into his arms knowing there wouldn't be any way of getting him to budge. he overpowered you every time.
"ugh fuck you dude!"
"you wish sweetheart!" jj winked at you, it wasn't until then that you realized the position you two were in.
he laid on top of you, in between your legs. faces two inches apart. your mouth went dry, looking at him was an even bigger mistake because when his eyes flickered from your lips to your eyes... you melted.
jj leaned in closer, your lips nearly touching when the smoke alarm goes off.
"shit the food!" you both dashed to the kitchen, turning off the fire, and making sure everything was fine. it was. laughing relieved.
you both wished deep down that the alarm had never gone off.

“God dammit,” he mutters, fingers running through his hair in irritation. The clinic's company pen rapidly taps against the clipboard as he tries to recall his mother-in-law's number, needing to fill out his daughter’s emergency contact before he could continue.
He has been struggling to fill out this stack of forms for at least half an hour. They were dumped into his arms, along with the pen, as soon as he arrived, not a single word of explanation. He grimaces, convinced his ex-wife has made it her job to make his life harder.
Ari had just moved to this city, no more than three weeks ago, following after his daughter and ex-wife to stay close to them. A new town means a new school, a new house, and a new doctor. So here he is, registering his daughter for the new clinic, vomiting information that he’s sure they won’t even need.
His family is already in the doctor's room, called to the back 15 minutes ago to start the check-up, leaving him to scribble on his homework. It takes him another 10 minutes to get through the last two pages before he can just sign it and be done.
After he cheerfully drops the clipboard of papers on the front desk, feeling like he just completed the SATs. He was directed to the “lion room” in the very back of the hallway.
When he opens the door, his daughter immediately smiles at his arrival, swinging her legs back and forth as she sits on the bench. She must be waiting for the doctor to return. On the other hand, her mother doesn’t even look up, eyes locked on her phone as she scrolls through Twitter, pretending like he doesn’t exist.
He decides against taking the seat next to his ex, preferring to stand next to his little girl instead. She’s a ball of energy this afternoon, perpetually talking about everything and nothing all at once. Ari leans against the bench, asking her simple questions to pass the time.
“Did the doctor take your temperature?” Her pigtails sway as she nods thoughtfully, recalling the doctor’s verdict with precise detail.
“...and she said that I’m as warm as a hug!” Ari preens at her little lisp. She’s still getting used to losing both of her front teeth earlier this year. He sends her squinted eyes, teasingly pretending like he doubts her memory.
“Hm. I don’t believe that…”
“It’s true!” Ari holds back a smile, the lisp becoming more pronounced as she gets worked up. She holds up her pinkie with a humorously-serious face. “Promi-th.”
“Well,” His fingers brush through his beard as he looks up, pretending to consider her pinkie promise. His eyebrows furrowing in faux-thought. “I think I need some proof, bubs.  Maybe you can show me?”
She thinks for a second, letting the request stew a little.
“‘kay.” Her little arms open wide, showing off her green Ariel t-shirt as she invites him in for a bear hug. Ari leans down to squeeze her close, his heart warming at the feeling of his baby in his arms.  She giggles as he almost lifts her off the seat. He’s convinced he could never get enough hugs from his little girl,
“Oh wow, I-You know what, she might be right!” She snickers at his exasperated reaction, knowing he’s just messing with her.
“See? I told you.” The door behind him opens up, indicating the return of the doctor.
“You must be Mr. Levinson,” Ari swiftly turns to greet the gentle voice, but when his eyes land on you, a breath catches in his throat before he can say anything. Your eyes widen just a fraction, not expecting the father to be this good-looking. “It’s nice to meet you.” You smile politely, offering him a hand.
He wordlessly reaches out to shake it, still starstruck by the woman in front of him.
He clears his throat, nodding dumbly, barely understanding what you said. “You too.” Despite the electricity you felt from his touch, you slip your hand from his, promptly reminding yourself to remain professional.
Her mother is still on her phone, as unengaged as the moment you left, only paying attention when she’s addressed directly. You let out a sigh at the sight before placing your focus back on your little patient.
Pulling out a small tub of salve from your coat pocket, you offer it to the little girl, speaking to her as if she were an adult, “Put this on your rash every day after a shower or before you go to bed, ok? It should be gone within a few weeks. If not, have one of your parents call in for another appointment.”
She nods with a determined look, taking the cream with both hands. You glance over at her father, making sure he caught that. He sends you the same nod with the same expression. It’s adorable, the resemblance is uncanny.
“Other than that, you should be proud. You’re a healthy growing girl.”  You pluck a star-shaped sticker from your other coat pocket, grinning as her eyes widen in excitement. “This,” You hold up the golden “good job” sticker, “is for you.” She blindly pushes the jar into her dad’s chest, hungrily focused on the reflective sticker.
“What do you say, sweetie?”
“Thank you, Mrs. Doctor!”
The antiseptic scent of the clinic pinches at Ari’s nose as he waits at the front desk to pay for his daughter’s check-up. He leans against the lip of the desk, tapping his fingers across the surface as he waits for one of the assistants to calculate the total.
“$500 for the new patient costs plus $40 for the medicine.” He shoves his hand to the back pocket of his jeans and grabs his wallet, plucking out his card and sliding it over to the lady. As he waits for the woman to charge him, his eyes wander around the empty pale-blue waiting room.
He notices you enter the room, taking note of how you are no longer in your white coat. Instead, you are wearing a nice dress shirt tucked into a pair of black slacks. Despite the professional nature of your clothes, they fit you in all the right areas, perfectly molding to your curves. Ari’s thoughts wander as he shamelessly admires you from afar, unaware that you’re walking directly to him.
“Still here?” You tease, knowing how long post-appointment procedures can be–especially for newcomers. Based on his impatient positioning against the desk, he’s been waiting a while. You let your eyes roam, admiring how his shirt struggles against his broad shoulders and impressively muscled arms.
“Uh, yeah,” He shakes himself out of his thoughts, “the girls ditched me. I don’t know what it is…it’s like they’re only using me for my money.” He jokes, stupidly proud of himself when it earns himself a light chuckle from your chest. He’s still got it.
“...alright, sir, here’s your card,” he gives you a “hold that thought” before turning around to face the office assistant. “Just sign here and you’ll be free to go.” She places a paper copy of the bill and a pen in front of him. Ari hastily places his card back into his wallet before sloppily signing the paper, eager to get back to his interaction with you.
You give him an understanding smile when he returns to look at you. The two of you are left alone as the older woman takes the file into another room, uninterested in the conversation in front of her.
You take a deep breath. It’s now or never.
You slowly take a step closer to him, “I have to admit, they are lucky girls, having you to provide for them.”  You boldly reach out, nudging his arm with your hand. You can feel how his muscles ripple as you run your fingers over the length of it. He stays silent, but you can see how his shoulders move as he breathes deeply. “But you need someone to take care of you too, don’t you?” Your face remains as professional as ever, acting like you're asking him a simple question.
You innocently tilt your head, savoring the way his eyes widen as he lets out a surprised cough at your blunt question. He takes a second to calm down, silently giving himself a pep talk to restore his nonchalant, charming persona.
Suddenly, he has an idea.
Ari fabricates another cough, repurposing his borderline embarrassing reaction as a tool for his next move. “Actually, I haven’t been feeling well, Doctor.” Another cough, “I think I might need a check-up.” He took a glance at your face, hoping you were picking up on his intentions.
“Oh?” A warm hand is placed on his forehead, flipping over as you feel for his temperature. He’s impressed by the convincing sympathy that fills your eyes as you watch him fake a softer cough. “If you’d like,” You look down at your watch, pretending to calculate how much time you have, “I can bring you to the back right now?”
He sends you a playful smile before settling back into his role by responding in a raspy voice, “That would be great, Doc.”
“Alright, take a seat.”  You gesture to the small bench lined with colorful animal-print paper.  “I’ll be back in a second, just have to grab a few things.” He follows your directions, noisily crinkling the paper under him as he settles on the edge of the bench.
You return in your full doctor-get up, a white coat complete with a stethoscope around your neck and blue latex gloves. You look adorably professional for the fake exam you’re about to perform. You hold a clipboard in one hand and a cute bumble bee pen in the other.
“So what seems to be the problem?” You glance up at him, pen hovering over a blank sheet of paper like you’re ready to take some notes.
“I don’t know. I-I feel like something’s wrong, but I don’t know how to explain it.” He feigns a pout, holding a hand to his lower stomach before drifting it downwards suggestively.
Pretending like you don’t notice his intent, you nod thoughtfully, the pitiful expression you send him is almost condescending and it drives him crazy.
“Let's try to figure it out together then, shall we?” From a cabinet next to the bench, you grab an old-school thermometer. You suppose you could use a regular digital one, but you’ve been craving to see something in his pouty mouth.
His lips quirk up as he notices your hungry stare locked on his mouth. He cheekily runs his tongue over his bottom lip, enjoying the way your eyelids droop, captivated with the motion.  “Say ‘ahh.’”
Ari gladly opens his mouth, reciting the noise right back: “ahhhh” You slip the end of the tool under his tongue.
“Alright, let’s keep that in there for 2 minutes?”
“Yes, ma’am” his words are muffled as he tries to keep the thermometer in his mouth. You keep busy, acting like you’re writing notes on your clipboard like a good doctor.
After scribbling a few flowers and smiley faces around the page, you secretly peek up at him. He stares right back with an amused look as he obediently keeps the glass stick under his tongue. You mentally berate yourself for the way your face heats up under his cocky stare.
You realize how distracted you were when you glance up at the cat-shaped clock. It’s been 5 minutes. “Alright, let’s see…” you gently take it out of his mouth and take a glance at the temperature. Hopefully, he doesn’t miraculously have a fever because then this little role-playing activity will have to be cut short. “…98.3°. Ok, good. So it’s not a fever.”
“Well, I could’ve told you that.” He retorts. You roll your eyes as you place the thermometer in a sanitary cup.
“Shush, be patient and let me do my exam.”
Like the dad he is, he responds, “What do you mean? I am a patient.” He shamelessly laughs at his own joke, proud that he came up with that so fast. You let out a teasing groan, as you pretend to be annoyed. “What? Ok, ok, I’ll behave.”   You tap the tops of his thighs indicating for him to spread them so you can stand closer. He opens easily, eagerly inviting you into his space.
Now standing right in front of him, you pull your stethoscope from your shoulders, “Okay, let’s check your heart.” As you’re about to place the cool metal right under his shirt, he quickly begins to unbutton it, revealing his gorgeously untrimmed chest to the cool air of the room.
Your eyes openly drink in his perfectly tanned skin, his happy trail taunting you as it hints at his growing problem below. Your cunt throbs as you inhale shakily, almost forgetting what you’re supposed to be doing. He follows your eager gaze and moves to unbutton his jeans too, but before he could pull down the zipper, he’s stopped by his wrist.
“No-” You squeeze his arm tighter when you notice how close your hand is to his considerable bulge, “this is good.” Your voice gasps out of your mouth as you try to calm yourself down. He reluctantly drops his arms, silently waiting for you to make the next move, looking devastatingly good as he sits in front of you with his shirt hanging open.
You let your intrusive thoughts win and boldly place your hand on the left side of his chest, feeling the warm skin tense at your touch, heart beating rapidly. “Ok, this might be a little cold.” You warn before you replace your hand with the diaphragm of the stethoscope, gently pressing it against his chest. “Take a deep breath for me.” You whisper, trying to calm him down.
His eyes stay on your face as he breathes in, suddenly feeling like he’s getting an actual check-up. You listen closely, making sure there aren’t any irregular beats or murmurs. You move it slightly downwards, completely focused on the task at hand. “Again.” With the next deep breath, he notices how you breathe with him, shoulders moving in sync with his chest.
You back up without a word, putting the tool on the counter next to you with a satisfied sigh. Everything sounds good. “You’re so cute when you get all doctorly.” Ari interrupts your thoughts, looking at you with a sly smirk. You mentally facepalm yourself. You got so caught up in your usual routine that you forgot why he was here in the first place!
“Your, uh, heart sounds healthy so-”
“You know what, Doc? After deducting all these things through your tests, I think I can finally tell what’s bothering me.”
“Oh, what is it?” The hand on his thigh moves over to rub himself over his jeans, pulling a wretched groan from his throat. His blue eyes are locked on yours as your mouth gapes at the depraved sight.
“I’m so fucking hard, Doc,” Ari grips himself to emphasize his words, showing off every inch of his covered cock, “and I just can’t get it down. I need your help.” His eyes beg you to touch him, looking as distressed as he pretends to be.
“U-um, ok. Let’s take a look then.” You nervously stretch your gloves higher onto your wrists in anticipation as he starts to undo his jeans, the open sides of his shirt getting the way as he eagerly tugs his pants down. You let out an involuntary gasp as a hard cock slaps against his stomach, perfectly pink and ridiculously big.
He sees how your hand stutters as it approaches him, suddenly intimidated by the large man in front of you. Ari assists you by pulling your hand closer to him, wrapping his fingers over yours, demonstrating how tightly he wants you to hold him. When he lets go, you experimentally squeeze your hand around him, gaining a breathless gasp from his body.
“How does this feel?” Somehow your voice remains level as you ask the clinical question, eyes peeking at him through your lashes. The lustful gaze you send him makes him throb in your hand, encouraging you to continue your exploration. You gently run your gloved finger up his cock, teasingly tapping against his leaking head, mesmerized by the mess.
Both pairs of eyes watch as a string of precum sticks from his cock to the tip of your finger as you start to pull away. You let it fall to his thigh before lovingly rubbing it into his skin. He almost feels like he’s going to burst from the way you’re playing with him. “Mr. Levinson?” You hand his back around him, pumping him slowly as you try to catch his attention.
“Hm?” He looks up at you with confused eyes, completely oblivious to the topic of the conversation.
“I asked you how you’re feeling. I can’t help you if you don’t cooperate with me.” The professionalism in your voice directly contradicts how you are handling him, almost making him go blind as you continuously brush over the line where his head meets his shaft. You know what you’re doing.
“So good…” He groans out, barely able to tell what he’s saying.
You hum contentedly, dipping your hand lower to gently fondle his balls, knowing how sensitive they can be. You hold back a smile when he jolts in surprise and starts to shutter out uneven breaths.
It’s just so easy.
His knuckles turn white from how hard he grips the bench under him, eyes closed in ecstasy.
Bringing up your other hand, you start to stroke him at the same time, holding him with more confidence as he melts against you. “H-holy ffu-” His stomach clenches as he holds himself back, thighs struggling to stay open around your clothed midriff.
His hair falls into his face as his head lolls forward, jaw clenched in concentration. You bite your lip as you watch him scramble to get a hold of himself, sloppy wet sounds spurring on the both of you. You speed up, determined to destabilize his efforts, needing to see this man break in your hands.
A warm hand wraps around your throat and yanks you forward. Your head is so hazy from the pressure on your neck that you can barely react when your lips meet his for a passionate kiss. Your tongues sloppily brush together as you languidly take in each other’s taste. Ari murmurs against your lips, “...like a dream.”
It’s dumb how flustered you get from his raspy voice. He nips your lip, drinking in your whimpers as he sucks at you until it’s nice and plump. You feel yourself drip when he soothes his work with little kitten licks against your mouth, refusing to dip back into your mouth.
You try to push toward him to get what you want, but he simply leans back with a cheeky grin, hand gently squeezing at your throat as a warning. “Keep goin’ honey.” You realize your movements ceased after the first breathtaking kiss.
You raise a challenging eyebrow,  “Give me a kiss first.”
“Mmm…No, this isn’t how it works.”
“I’m the doctor– You’re supposed to do what I say!” You pout, pointedly letting him go. He rolls his eyes at your childish behavior and follows your actions, shoving his hand off your neck.
“Okay,” He pushes you away from him and hops off the bench. “You’ve had your fun. It’s my turn now.” He first grabs your wrists, hastily working off your gloves before dropping them on the floor. Your coat soon follows, carelessly thrown in the same direction.
Ari twirls you to face the bench, pushing his hips into yours to pin you forward. He bends you over the surface with ease, only stepping back for a moment to yank your pants over your ass and down your legs.
You feel pressure against your cunt as his fingers rub you over your panties, spreading your slick everywhere. “Look at that. Practically see-through with how drenched you got it.” You whine at his taunts, attempting to push back against him to feel more.
He moves his hand to hold onto your hair, firmly pushing your face into the paper-covered bench. He runs his other hand down your back before grabbing a large handful of your ass, groaning at how soft you feel under him.
He forgoes removing your underwear, preferring to just fuck you with your panties shoved to the side.
You feel him slide the tip of his cock up and down your folds, effectively getting himself slicked up in preparation. He experimentally dips in, appreciating the small amount of resistance your body shows him. The feeling of him pushing into you, stretching your cunt to his will, is indescribably overwhelming.
An involuntary moan is knocked out of you as he slowly slides in, causing him to wrap a hand over your mouth to keep you quiet. You almost forgot where you were.
Each time you think he is all the way in, he just keeps going, sending you keeling as he prods against your walls. His hips fit snuggly against yours when he finally bottoms out, deliciously pressed against your cervix. He stays there for a second, letting you adjust to his size. “You ok?”
You’re deliriously trying to relax around him when you mewl out a half-hearted, “Great.”
He takes that response as a directive to move. You feel his soft lips press against your shoulder before he gently starts to rock himself into you, expertly hitting spots you didn’t even know you had.
He slightly bends his knees as he starts to speed up, fucking himself up into now. Your eyes roll to the back of your head as the sound of your fucked out cunt fills the room, surrounding you through every thrust. The paper under you crinkles loudly, sticking to the undersides of your arms as you move around.
“Such a good little doctor,” His whispers are strained, trying to control himself while he’s buried in your tightness. He pushes your back down to angle your ass upwards to thrust impossibly deep inside you. “Letting me her holes as my medicine.” Your eyes prick with tears as he starts snapping his hips at a punishing pace. You can’t help the borderline sob that escapes you when he prods against your cervix, almost feeling him in your stomach.
The walls of your cunt start to tighten around him, throbbing insistently as he continues his vigorous thrusts. You felt it coming, but you weren’t expecting how intense it would be. Heat vibrates through your body as your vision whitens, disorienting all your senses at once. You could barely feel the way your whole body tenses, muscles straining in exhaustion.
“F-fuck, fuck, fuc—” After a couple of stuttered thrusts, Ari fully buries himself inside you before painting your walls with hot cum. You pant together, calming yourselves down before he slips out of you. Before any warm slick could run down your leg, he picks you up and sets you on the bench, grabbing a box of tissues to help clean you up.
“Thanks.” You shyly whisper it as he wipes you up.
He looks up at you with a dazzling smile, “Anytime…”
Bonus scene:
Ari lingers at the lion-painted door, fully clothed with his fingers gripping at the handle. He is silently hoping you will stop him before he leaves.
“Wait, Ari,” He hears you call out from behind him, “hold on a sec.” You blindly reach into your discarded white coat, pulling out a pen and one of your signature stickers.
You turn the golden star over and quickly scribble down your number onto the paper before holding it out to him. “Let me know if your condition gets better, ok?”
“Yes ma’am.” He dorkily salutes you before walking out the door with a grin.

the morning sun felt warm against your skin as you stretched in bed. you’d slept throughout the night for the first time in months. usually, you’d wake up with your baby girl a few times a night. sometimes you and ted would swap off.
apparently he took it upon himself to be on baby duty all night, and you definitely appreciated the extra sleep.
if you listened close enough you could hear ted talking to henry. henry’s laughter echoed through the hallways and it made you smile softly.
henry was the best big brother to charlotte. he loved helping pick out her outfits and teach her new things. at first he was worried you’d pull away because after all, he isn’t technically your kid. luckily, after lots of pinky promises and hugs he got comfortable with the idea of a new addition to your tight knit family.
from the minute he first held her they’ve been best friends.
as you lay reminiscing, you could hear her high-pitched giggles and babbles mixed in with the rest of the chatter.
your joints popped as you stretched once more before pulling yourself out of bed to slip on one of ted’s old sweatshirts and your pajama shorts. the floor was cold on your feet, so you slipped on a pair of fuzzy socks and followed the sound of the laughter.
henry was in the living room, and had swapped out entertaining ted and charlotte for his video game. ted had your baby strapped to his chest in the baby carrier while he moved around the kitchen making breakfast. he had her facing forward, and her chubby little hands reached out to grab at anything he dared to pick up. her dark wispy hair and button nose were a replica of ted’s and it was even more obvious when their faces were close enough to compare.
when he wasn’t using two hands, he had one planted firmly on the front of the baby carrier over her stomach. even though she was secure, they both found a bit of extra comfort knowing the other was right there. by the way her fingers gripped his larger ones, she clearly didn’t mind.
ted made conversation with her like she was able to communicate with real words.
“the batter look good enough to you, baby?”
she cooed at him. he dipped the tip of his index finger into the batter and brought it up to her mouth to taste.
“try some, charlotte.. here you go”, his voice was soft as she mouthed the pancake batter off his finger. she was silent for a moment before she began smacking her lips.
“you like it, sweet pea?”
she cooed and squealed more excitedly this time while kicking her legs out. her actions made ted giggle while he wiped his hand on a dish towel.
after a few minutes she started reaching for bowl of batter. ted brought another fingertip up to her mouth for her to taste. this time, it drew a sharp “ow!” out of him.
“shoot, sweetheart.. feels like you’ve got a tooth comin’ in there, huh?”
she looked up and backwards as best she could at him. one of ted’s hands came up to brush her hair out of her forehead while he rubbed his finger around her gums. she grunted at him and brought her tiny hands up to hold his. ted moved to the freezer to get a gel teething ring out for her to chew on.
charlotte babbled when he handed it to her and quickly realized it gave her more relief when it was in her mouth.
“that feel better? hmm.. there you go, baby.”
he murmured to her as he went back to breakfast. when he turned around, the sight of you made him break out into a smile, while charlotte broke out into a fit of babbles. her chubby legs were kicking in the air, occasionally hitting ted’s stomach.
“well good mornin’, sweetheart.”
“hi, teddy.”
you smiled at the pair and let ted pull you in for a sweet kiss. it didn’t last very long with the way charlotte was growing restless at the sight of you. she was a daddy’s girl all day long, but she still loved some time with her mom.
ted held a strong hand against her while he unfastened her harness, which wasn’t the easiest job with how wiggly she was. you chuckled lovingly at him and stepped closer to help him out.
“mama! mamamama! mamaaa!”, charlotte’s squeals and babbles made henry want to join in on the fun.
his feet raced across the floor until he came in the kitchen and immediately hugged you. he knew to not hug you in a way that would make you drop baby girl, but still found a way to give you a routine good morning hug.
“..there you go, sweetheart. go show mama those chompers.”
with one hand around henry and another holding charlotte on your hip, you shot ted a look.
“her teeth are coming in?”, this was news to you.
ted shared his discovery with you as he finally began cooking the pancakes.
“sure are, didn’t even realize ‘til she ‘bout bit my finger off”, he jokingly waved a finger at charlotte and you all laughed as she giggled at him.
“oooh! can i see?!”, even henry was excited about her new milestone.
you sat down at the kitchen table and placed charlotte on top so that she was facing you. henry joined and held a hand to her back while you took her face in your hands. charlotte was chomping away at her freezer ring and it was already covered in drool.
you softly pulled it from her mouth, “let mama see, baby.. oh my goodness! you do have some teeth in there!”, you cooed as you gently opened her mouth to take a look at her baby teeth.
ever the responsive baby, she squealed in response to your words. she let you hold her mouth open long enough for henry to take a peek, but she realized that her mouth was starting to hurt without her teething ring.
she settled down as you put her back in your lap with an arm holding her close to you. you bounced her softly and brushed her curls from her face, “she’s growing up, ted..”
ted shot you a smile from where he was flipping the pancakes, “i know! if we’re not careful, she’ll be as tall as henry next week!”
ted’s words made henry laugh, “no she won’t dad! she’s just a baby!”
more quiet now, charlotte have a drool-covered smile around her teething ring that was slowly growing warm.
“our big girl, huh baby?”, her high-pitched giggle made you all smile.
“alright, henry these are about done. want to help me with the last ones?”
henry eagerly shot up and ran to help ted flip the pancakes. you flipped charlotte around to where she could lie against your chest and gave yourself a moment to just hold her.
she immediately pressed her cheek against the part of your chest not covered by your t-shirt. her eyelashes fluttered against your skin, and even though it tickled you had no intentions of moving her. she began growing fussy against you as her teeth began hurting again.
“shhh,” you shushed her and began gently rocking her, “i know it hurts baby, i’m sorry.”
you didn’t realize it but ted had stepped away and left henry in charge of the pancakes. he quickly returned with some baby teething gel you’d picked up in preparation for this moment.
“oh- thank you, honey.”, he handed it to you before returning back to where henry was standing near the stove.
“look at that sweet girl, daddy’s got us all fixed up.”, you sat her back on the table and she fiddled with her now lukewarm teething ring. she watched you take the cap off the gel and smear a little on your pinky.
“here, baby..” she quickly opened her mouth to gnaw on your pinky and hummed in content as the gel began kicking in.
in seconds your finger was covered with drool but it was worth it to know she was a little bit more comfortable.
“breakfast is ready, darlin’.. you want a plate?”, Ted came up behind you and put a warm hand on your back as he spoke.
“I’m okay right now, tryin’ to help out our girl here. We’re gonna come to the table though, I’ve missed you guys these past few days.”
ted smiled and pressed a quick kiss to your hair. “I’ll go ahead and put a plate in the fridge for you?”
you smiled back, “thanks teddy.”
charlotte had somehow calmed down even more after you moved her to the table and she could see everyone. her eyes grew heavy after she finally got comfortable and you moved her so that she could nap on your chest.
her chubby hands grabbed a hold of your shirt while she drifted off in your arms. mouth slightly open, she was drooling all over your pajama top but you couldn’t bring yourself to care. you were just glad she’d finally got some relief.
as ted and henry filled you in on their upcoming week, you rubbed soft circles on her back and pressed kisses to her wispy curls.
“mom, did you know my friend alex has TWO baby sisters?”, henry’s hopeful tone made you raise your eyebrows.
“does he, now?”
“mhm”, henry hummed as ted shot you a panicked ‘I’m sorry’ look.
you couldn’t quite wrap your head around the look, though. you loved the family you’d made with ted and had no qualms with expanding it.
henry continued filling you in on the details of his weekend plans with ted as he got up to put his plate in the sink. he ran to the living room to turn on the show he’s been watching recently.
charlotte stirred on your chest, and you looked at her with the biggest heart eyes on earth. she looked so much like ted.
while you admired her features, ted stammered out an, “i-i’m so sorry about what he said. i don’t want you to think- i know you just-“
“you don’t want another one, teddy?”
“wha- no! no, i absolutely do! i just.. i had no clue he was gonna say that, i’m sorry.”
“s’not anything to worry about, love. would love another one of your babies. maybe not right now, but that doesn’t mean i want that any less.”
ted seemed almost relieved, his shoulders relaxing at your words.
charlotte had begun to stir at the sound of ted’s voice, and it was clear she still felt poorly. as soon as she took in her surroundings and registered the pain in her mouth, she began to cry around her pacifier. little tears rolled down her rosy cheeks.
her tiny feet dug into your legs as she tried standing up with her hands grabbing onto your shoulders.
“hi, baby.. you’re okay sweet girl..” you shushed her.
“dada! dada!” she wailed around her pacifier. she seemed inconsolable. and as soon as ted heard her words, he was on his feet and approaching the two of you with open arms.
her outstretched arms mirrored his, and her wailing turned into whimpering the moment she was settled in his arms. charlotte turned and tucked her face into ted’s neck. she was still whimpering but had definitely settled down some.
you stood in front of them and rubbed at her back while ted cooed at her. she always loved attention from you both at the same time, so she really settled down after that.
“you’re such a good mom, angel.”
your cheeks turned bright red at his compliment.
“you’re a great dad, teddy. we love you so much.”
“the three of you are my world. how could i not want more?”
you and ted went into the living room, where the three of you settled on the couch. henry had fallen asleep in ted’s oversized recliner while watching his show, and you didn’t miss the tiny grin on his face when you draped his favorite blanket over him.
ted changed the channel to watch the day’s football match, and charlotte got comfortable against his broad chest. seeing her tiny form draped over his strong, hairy chest always does things to you. he still hasn’t acknowledged your statement, but you’d learned to give him a bit of time to mull things over in his head over the years.
her eyes grew heavy as she listened to his heartbeat and the hum of the TV. it wasn’t long before you followed, drifting off with your head on the armrest and feet in ted’s lap.
ted rubbed her back while her breathing evened out and spoke up after a few minutes, “you’d really want another?”
a smile spread across your face, “of course, ted. absolutely.”
ted nodded silently and you could tell he was beginning to overthink.
“talk to me, babe.”, you poked your foot into the side of his thigh. when you first met him, he would’ve denied anything was wrong. he would’ve pushed it down and bottled it up.
now, he found comfort in telling you his fears. he let himself be scared and be taken care of by you. he’d come such a long way from the dark place he was in when you first met.
“you don’t think i’m gettin’ too old?”, his voice was small and he kept his eyes fixed on charlotte as he spoke.
“ted you aren’t old! i call you my old man but it’s out of love. you have so much life and brightness in you.. being old isn’t anywhere on your radar yet.”
“but, what about when my mom pulls some more bull again, talkin’ about me movin’ to kansas n’all that? because now it won’t just be her, it’ll be another one she’s gon’ try to use as leverage and-“
“ted, breathe.”, you’d sat up now and rubbed at his arms that were wrapped around your daughter.
“that.. what happened when your mom came here last time isn’t going to happen again. we’re not putting any of us through that regardless of if we have another one or not.. did she call again?”
“yeah. last night while you had the kids in the bath. throwin’ all kinds of stuff out there about this being a ‘phase’ n’all that. told her to call me if there’s an emergency and just hung up.”
you were both silent, and you could tell his blood was boiling just as yours was.
“i’m proud of you ted. i know she’s being.. difficult.”
“m’just scared because.. havin’ another just gives me more chances to screw ‘em up and i don’t- i couldn’t.”, his eyes stayed fixed on the little girl in his arms as his voice grew tight.
“you haven’t screwed anything up. you love these kids, you love me. you were literally meant to be a dad and, shit, a husband too. you have the most gentle, kind, loving heart. there’s not a single bit of me that worries about these kids with you.”
“s’just so easy to imagine sometimes, you know? I worry about somethin’, then I imagine it happenin’ and I start circling the drain..”
“you’re growing and learning too, just like them. it’s okay to worry, hun.. but they’re here, and they’re wonderful.. they’re you.”
“it has been brought up by the boys lately.. especially now that she’s getting older.”
a smile had finally appeared on his face.
“just think about it, ted. doesn’t have to happen tonight. just want you to know that i’m beyond happy to have another baby with you, love.”, your words were exactly what he needed to hear.
“we may need to get to practicin’ then..”
thanks for reading!
