I managed to see the whole thing in its totality at my family's farm in Austin and omg it was so dark it was practically night outside!!

Eddie post a Tiktok where he’s laying on the floor with his head propped up by the couch. He looks deep in thought and then raise the camera so you can see Steve and Robin asleep on the couch. The camera comes back down and he asks, “Why did Buckley come over to my house to take a nap?”

Eddie‘s about to say something else but he hears something behind him. He sits up and turns the camera around, catching on film Steve mumble in his sleep ‘morons’ and then Robin repeat him in her sleep. Eddie sounds incredulous when he says, “They have the same dreams???”

It was cool, Sally helped me and Rosa modify my telescope to block out the UV light from the sun so we could better see the eclipse. I showed Lock and Barrel how to make a pinhole projector, and it worked out pretty well.

And yeah, before anyone asks, we had the special eyewear too, swiped out of Finkelstein's lab, so our eyeballs didn't melt out of our skulls.

I've seen a lot of Dream and Nightmare related content to the solar eclipse (which is all amazing by the way), so I wanted to make my own.

In the Doodlesphere, solar eclipses are caused by the few times they decide to stop fighting. Either because they're tired, they're reminiscing, or something else, they call a temporary truce and spend the day being brothers again. They walk around their favorite AUs and chat with some hot drinks (Nightmare seems like he would have a lot of stories, he's been walking around for 500+ years when Dream was in stone). The sun and moon aren't opposing each other in the sky anymore, but are right next to each other.

But as fate has it, they have to keep fighting. So the day ends and they're back on the battlefield tomorrow.

Since we're going down the list of every Eclipse you've made…what about Devil Eyes Naga?? How would he act? Would he silently stalk them and creepily appear in their photos?

He would be a bête noire in the jungle; a living nightmare for Y/N. He absolutely would stalk and appear in photographs, and Y/N only notices after the fact when they're editing their shots. Y/N not actually encountering or speaking with him further fuels the cold chills they get every time they find him in another image.

His sharp grin shines in the reflection of the flash, especially in the evening and early morning, right before true light or darkness. With every photo, he's just a little closer, draping out of a tree, slithering along the ground through the shrubs, peering out of the water with those piercing eyes. Y/N isn't sure what he even looks like except for the shadowy, vague shots of deep sanguine scales and black and blood-colored frills around his head. He's more a ghost than a monster, but Y/N wonders how easily he could snatch them up once he's done taunting them with his appearance in photos. The apprehension and mind-numbing terror of never knowing where he could be lurking or what he wants leaves Y/N gasping for air.

When Y/N has nightmares, it's of him.

I'm not in eclipse path of totality, but my area of Texas is going to get around 99.2% coverage (or so staff at our state park say...)

It's cloudy as all hell, but it did make for a pretty cool picture.
