Night of the Night jar
Owls are more iconic for a spooky Halloween art, but night jars are weird-cute with their giant mouths!

What This Week Looks Like:
Monday-Friday:
Mars and Heaven (Cowboy Bebop, Stories 8-13)
Summary: A long story of lemon romances of Spike and Sakura.
Thursday:
Suburban Island (Final Season, Series Finale)
Summary: Final volume and original project in the Wasteland Project. Mainland America is slowly being eaten up. It’s time for the human race to go. But where are they going to go? Their options are limited but they are going to have to make a decision. Kate has already made hers with her family. The only problem is Kenji. Can she get him to bury the hatch to save their lives? What about everyone else in Golden Leaf? Some might not even live to leave. Others will have to try and survive in the end.
Earth Child (Season Thirteen, Chapter Six)
Summary: It’s 1985 and the old biddies are back for more mischief. The youth are back to cause a hitch in the plans.
Friday:
Night Hawks (Wasteland 2011, Original, Story One)
Summary: The Night Hawks are back with new files. We start off with a couple of cases from the past. Plus, time is running out to stop the apocalypse game from unfolding further.
Saturday-Sunday:
High Fever (Original, Chapters 9-13)
Summary: Twenty-one-year-old Okawa Toshiki has been out of the war and military for close to two years. He has nowhere to go and no real future to speak of. That was until fifteen-year-old Taria Yumi finds him sitting in front of an empty house near her neighborhood and takes her home him with. There seems to be something about her that is familiar. Toshiki can’t quite put his finger on it. Maybe Yumi could be the reincarnation of an old love? But such a thing can’t be possible, right?

You asked if I had any memories of Night Hawks , in all my years of going to the Art Institute of Chicago both as a student and just for the joy of it ,Night Hawks was always a painting on the move . It changed locations on a regular basis . Curators always wanted it in their shows because it boosted attendance. When I go to the museum I have certain paintings I always track down and that was one of them . People watching was always entertaining around Night Hawks . You could pick out people that looked like they belong in the painting .
I am so glad I asked. Thanks for this.

Night Hawks
They scissor edges of twilight, cuttingblack shapes into sky. The wet silverof quick wings open against eternity,as if to erase an end with a beginning.

02/02/24
Spent the morning reading a lot of ‘Night Hawks’, had a phone appointment with my doctor, which resulted in my antidepressant dose being increased, and me needing to book in another blood test as they missed a few things with the first one (and I am also anaemic now so that’s fun), post lunch I had to run a few errands, and once back I reorganised my CD collection, before having a nice treat and a long bath.
This evening has been spent relaxing, watching TV with my dad, and doing some more reading.
