history’s flowers
so you know the song bouquet by itchiko aoba ? well a good chunk of the song is mainly flowers, so ended up a fic like “crowley and aziraphale through history, but a flower that is mentioned in the song is present in an encounter we see”. like ‘plumeria’—its a ficlet in the garden and a bush of plumerias happens to be nearby or part of the scene ! its mostly chrono, but i tried to keep it as close as possible. not too much has been written yet other than the garden of eden example i gave you, and there’s a lot of flowers, but im gonna dew it all 😌
human incarnate (under cut due 2 length)
okay THIS one’s a bit more complex and infinitely longer. its a reincarnation story ! but of course, not exactly what you might have seen before. now, bit of context, i’ve mever really liked human aus—they are some amazing works out there and i’ve read a good chunk dont get me wrong, but its not exactly something i seek out—im there for the mystical, the immortal dance, etc etc. but one day this story just came up, and i COULDNT let it go. so: human aziraphale and crowley trying to stop the apocalypse but theyre actually an angel/demon duo but reincarnating every few decades. so one day they died (this if ofc plot relevant but if i explain it its ANOTHER long ass paragraph, so lets just say it involves fire and one of my favorite historical events *not alexandria*), and they started incarnating together, some lives never meeting and others meeting once or others changing them entirely, only to eventually truly converge in the present day (like 2008) in time for heaven and hell to realize the trick and the apocalypse on the brink of beginning. easy no memory shtick and stuff, and the appeal is 1) trying to stop armageddon without their respective powers/knowledge, and 2) relearning their love story one life at a time. its the exact balance of Supernatural and Human i would love to read, but never have seen. there might be fic like that out there (and i’d love to read it) but this is hopefully something I can execute nicely. some highlights:
- raising warlock is a such a funnier ordeal becayse they dont have powers to help them out. its a DISASTER
- them figuring out their miracles and their limitations when their powers slowly start tricking back (they're not yet where they're supposed to be, but after heaven and hell's first contact, they arent exactly human anymore, are they?) like warlock's birthday ! its just funny to me..
- crowley and aziraphale's limited contact before armageddon is about. its just a neighborhood crush, nothing more, but then it escalates like THAT ? imagine the guy who curates your flower bouquets you bring to your grandpa's grave (he's not related to you) (and he also happens to be you) and looks kinda pretty ngl is actually your immortal enemy you've been locked in a homoerotic relationship with since the beginning of time. and is a DEMON. of HELL. woah
- hell and heaven don’t really frighten aziraphale and crowley most of the narrative, until the plot ramps up. at first, theyre just Fuckin Weird to them, and seeing a few chapters of them just ridiculing their HEAD OFFICES without knowing just how powerful they can be makes me crack up
- crowley's tattoos (including the snake, which he has NO IDEA where it came from)
- aziraphale's bible and prophecy collection (inherited from his grandpa) (whom he is not related to) (who is also him)
- theyre both trans. one cool thing about this is that aziraphale intentionally chose his name based on the angel who guarded eden, which is HIM. for some odd reason, his name never did fade from the bible editions, and he is still known to this day. Cough Cough Crowley Cough Cough anyway also he and crowley both cycled through some other names before reaching their final ones, which are all names they’ve had in past lices :) because while their past lives have been connected to their old identities in some ways, it wasnt until 2008 where it really became similar. its almost like they knew things were coming…..
- (this trans fact is revealed during the six hours of drinking after adam is delivered <3)
- the bookshop fire
- holding hands at the end of the world
- no stars to run to, because crowley doesnt even know he built that one. but he still fucking loved astronomy anyway!!! he used to want to be an astronaut, you know. before the world tore him down
- aziraphale, on the other hand, never knew what he wanted to be. Good, that he knew, but Good at what?
- all of the fcuking.... scenes.... hittinf anathema, tadfield manor, I JUST!!!!
- some of their cliched past lives being the following: pirate/naval captain, bodysnatcher/cemetery caretaker, brandy spy/allied bookseller, 17th century witches, fugitive/aristocrat, and ofc, present day: struggling florist/bookseller who doesnt really sell any books and lives off of his grandpa's fortunes (again, not related) (who is also him)
- crowley growing up on the velvet underground and aziraphale growing up UNDER A ROCK. queen plagues them both...

before I sleep, here is my definitive ranking on all the NPMD songs and some rambles on why I placed them there - also the ranking is based on how much I vibe with them (music production and lyricism have different rankings)
1. Hatchet Town (aka the hatchetfield trilogy theme song like this tune perfectly encapsulates the chaos Hatchetfield has to go through with every Starkid project pos-2018 and I love it - kinda wish it was a number that is more integrated with the plot with the kids tho BUT I REALLY DID LIKE that this melody was quite prominent in the other songs too)
2. High School is Killing Me (I've watched many teen centered musicals and believe me when I say that this song is one of, if not, the best introduction numbers out there for this genre - also it's a really great opening hook for a show)
3. Nerdy Prudes Must Die (FUCKING AMAZING HONESTLY - amazing way to REALLY re-establish a villain back from the dead and to establish the main theme for the nerds here: "I'm Not A Loser" (tho i fucking wish that motif was used a bit more))
4. Just For Once (everyone cheer for Lauren Lopez flexing not just her high tier soprano skills, but also how amazing of a fucking actor she can be like the concept of this song is quite layered and to pull it off both comedically and emphatically takes great lyrical and acting prowess)
5. The Summoning (a well-anticipated onstage introduction to all 5 of the LiB that balances out befuddling neon-entertainment with genuine fucking menace)
7. Cool As I Think I Am Reprise (A FUCKING GENIUS REPRISE I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH HOW COOL I FIND THEM RECONTEXTUALIZING THE OG SONG AND IF I LOVED YOU TO FIT THE SITUATION AND BOTH OF THE CHARACTERS GROWTH. LIKE IN TERMS OF THEMATIC IMPLICATIONS WITH CHARQCTER DEVELOPMENT, THIS SONG AND ITS SCENE WOULD BE THE TOP)
6. If I Loved You (I think this song could be a bit more honestly like I know how much Starkid has explored Steph and Pete's relationship in their other projects and I was really hoping that they would have it more portrayed here - however the song is a bop nonetheless and it matches neatly with their themes and the harmonies are top tier. I placed this higher than the next just due to my personal bias like I really do like the song)
8. Dirty Dudes Must Die (A GREAT TWIST THAT MAKES ME WANT ANOTHER MUSICAL ABOUT GRACE CHASITY'S DERANGED SELF - also the new context of the song Grace is reprising here makes her a villain even scarier than MAX of all people but that's just me)
9. Literal Monster (A very catchy beat and well structured song that provides a good introduction to a jock-bully with the god complex. also kinda foreshadowing to nerdy prudes must die)
10. Cool As I Think I Am (the instrumentation reminded me of Dear Evan Hansen ngl fjsjd but it really does sound like an I-Want song from a teen-musical which is of course what they are going for - it sounds very nice and earnest though and I loved how it was utilised in the reprise. However I still fucking wish that the I'm Not A Loser motif was used more)
11. Dirty Girl (look I'm sorry for ranking this quite low on the list but like there is no fucking way I'm using this as bait to lure other people in like they'd be scared away I'm sorry fjdjs BUT I love how Will and Angela perform this though like top tier starkid performances ever - its not just what I would listen to on repeat personally jgjdjs)
12. Go Go Nighthawks! (This one gets plus points because of FUCK YOU CLIVESDALE GO GET FUCKED. otherwise its nice and cheery and perfectly shows how happy everyone is without Max but um I kinda wish it could be a bit more especially in terms of showing how happy the other nerds are now that Max is gone but that's just me)
13. Bully The Bully + Bury The Bully (Look I couldn't decide which was better like they both are the same melodies so like gjxjs these two are cute though and I liked seeing the 5 kids bonding in Bully The Bully since we don't get that many scenes with them)
14. The Best Of You (the pop-punk happy number is a staple of teen-centered musicals and it does really sound nice - just isn't that much of a standout compared to the others.)
#also for the best of you i have like a bone to pick with that one as much as i find it a fun song#but that is once again a rambly critique on how steph was utilized in the show sO WE'LL SAVE THAT BONE FOR ANOTHER DAY#but yea that's my NPMD ranking#the music prod here is on another level honestly#like they stepped up their game here#as for lyricism hmm given the genre it's more or less as I expected - i like it but there are some parts where i expected more#but they did a good job in having nuance in some of their songs like Nerdy Prudes Must Die and Just For Once like those r GOOD DEEP DIVES#hmmm maybe i'll do a full review soon of NPMD to just consolidate all my critiquey rambles#rn it's sittiing at a score of 8.5/10#and is probably my top 3 fav starkid musical of all time - tgwdlm and twisted are top 2 and 1#(i cant say much about black friday yet cause i havent watched it but um i have a feeling it could technically be a tie with npmd)#nerdy prudes must die#npmd#npmd spoilers#starkid

this is rikai . the charisma of order . unlike fumiya he has A Very Clear Sense Of Righteousness and fights for order among the members of the house everyday of his life . unsurprisingly this gets annoying as fuck when you actually dig into his usual methods . everyone in the house can agree that everything he does for righteousness is like very fucking exaggerated (like his obnoxious ass whistle he keeps using everytime order is slightly disturbed) but he couldnt care less . he wants order and control over everything and everyone . omg i forgot how hot his main official art was mffffgfhhhh SORRY SORRY SORRY S . getting derailed here . he may look and Act like hes the only normal person in there but in many senses hes one of the worst ones .

sometimes when they get Too Charisma ! they transform have a whole musical number and then collapse in exhaustion . this is called a charisma break . they get it from being actual weirdos .
uhm my only warning for if you ever decide to watch charisma house is Number One amahiko as a whole and Number Two rikai's first song has literal nazi imagery unfortunately . Fortunately though thats like the only weird in the bad way mv . because the other mvs are also weird . i just don't know if i should describe them as weird in a good way . whatever. specific drama track episode for the song is number 27 but its only by the end . the rest of the episode is good to watch❤️

I honestly get jumpscared and feel whiplash whenever I see the screenshots of my bots floating around- ngl
In-depth lore:
When I first made Rook, Char Ai was *barren*. There were only one about few TWST bots. I didn’t really mean to fall into the rabbit hole at first, since it was recommended to me by the ‘text generation’ community. I’ve always been a fan of text generations like DungeonAi, WriteHolo, and NovelAi, but if you’re familiar with those two— DungeonAi fell from grace when it got monetized (like I don’t blame them, it does cost a lot to run the bots— especially with so many users). WriteHolo went well, but NovelAi swept me off it’s feet with its user interface and customization. I find myself using Char Ai so much more, and the reason for that is because of how in-character the bots could be. When it comes to any fan content, my personal preference is how accurate and authentic a character is— and Char Ai happened to serve— and it was free!
Learning to use Char Ai was a pain— cause I had to relearn a whole new format and technique of inputting information, but I think I’m fairly confident in it now. I’m no tech bro but I think I did enough research to scour the Char Ai discord itself to make a bot I would be happy with using. Even though the majority of examples were copypasting the game lines, a good chunk of it was experimenting and thinking of what to leave in and what to leave out. The bots I’m confident in have their character settings private, but I made the weaker ones public, so people would know what to expect.
I’ve noticed for the past months, there was a new influx of users— especially with TWST and I’m really happy about that! I do have a lot of WIP/Private bots being worked on, but I never really released them because someone else already did those characters— and because… I’m a perfectionist- I like having full control and being able to change and edit whenever something is off.

I’ve always been lowkey about Char Ai because of the stigma AND moral grey area AI has. I understand the complexities of AI sourcing literature from the internet without permission and it is terrible. I’ll admit I don’t exactly know which model Char Ai uses (recalling the last time I’ve read its FAQ), but whether you use it or not is up to you ^^
I can say that everything sourced within my bots are either direct voicelines from games, or I made up them up to add lore.

Candela Obscura S2 - Thoughts So Far
Spoiler-Free!
i had the pleasure of seeing the premiere in theatres and it was PHENOMENAL. im gonna get right into it.
first off! you don’t necessarily have to watch the first season. i think you’ll have a bit of a better grasp on things and it’s also just fucking fantastic so i highly recommend. but no, you don’t have to in order to enjoy this campaign.
everyone embodies their characters so well. you can absolutely feel the love and detail put into them. you can feel them getting into their roles as the episode goes on and by the end, you’re completely attached.
it definitely starts off a lot quicker than season 1. we get right into the good stuff with a cold open directly to action. it starts off strong and ends with a bang.
HELL of a first episode, i’ll tell you that.
the vibe is definitely different from matthew mercer’s campaign. spenser has a unique GM style that took a minute to get used to. threwe off a bit at first, but i think it fits the narrative so far.
i pulled together an auggie cosplay just for the hell of it. did some makeup inspired by s1e3 and got dolled up in my best paperboy attire.
unfortunately i was literally the only one dressed up (+ my sibling in just general dark academia clothing). i also had to walk around a very busy store beforehand. so that was a bit awkward but honestly, i was so excited i didn’t care.
all in all, it was incredible. if you enjoyed the first season or are into any kind of body horror or thrillers, give it a try.
and now.. for the details.
SPOILERS under the cut!
i cant wait to see more of their backstories. im super happy with the amount of backstory we got this episode. not too much or too little. just enough to be intriguing and get you invested, while still leaving some mystery.
starting the episode into immediate action was a bit off putting, ngl. i was startled by the pretty significant difference in how spenser is GMs in contrast to matt. i adore his play style but it took a second to get used to. as the episode progressed i could tell it was working really well for this campaign, which is pleasing.
im immediately drawn to sean and marion. i loved auggie and have a fixation on newsies so i obviously have a specific character type i enjoy LMAO. their personalities and interactions with everyone are fantastic.
the PTSD-flashback-type scenes were a great addition imo. it added a lot to their characters. plus that interaction when marion gets his scar? 100/10, gorgeous, tore me apart. i will be watching that scene again when it gets posted and that is a threat.
marion’s breakdown shattered my heart and the other party members had such interesting reactions. im hoping we have more moments like that sprinkled throughout.
of course i love everyone so far. auntie b’s complex history with each party member, nathaniel’s bits of family history, jean’s struggle beginning to shine through, sean’s internal battle with trauma / vague history, marion’s conflict with his own abilities… its all so good.
needless to say i think we’re going to be fed well this season.
my sibling was crying during a few parts but i only really teared up when jean said goodbye to her dad. i knew it was coming but damn it still tugged at my heartstrings.
that entire last scene was just so. GOOD. the entire theatre was losing their fucking minds. you could hear whispering, gasping, nervous giggling. jean’s gilded 6 was wild.
my favorite part of the night was probably when jean was investigating the body and pulled an eye from his heart. as spenser revealed what she found, a loud cough/hacking sound came from the back of the theatre.
you could tell it was probably just a coincidence but after a few seconds of silence people started to laugh. it was just a silly moment that made me really appreciate the atmosphere. as someone who rarely watches films in theatre (or at all tbh), it was a pleasant experience.
anyway i fucking LOVE co and have not stopped thinking about it since the last season ended. so i am very obviously hyped. cant wait to see whats next!

YEAH ON THE HXH COMPARISON because like. the zoldycks are literally a tourist attraction but that doesn't mean that hxh is saying that murder is okay. like you don't need the series to say that murder is bad because 1. you're supposed to know that going in, and 2. you pick up on how much the business sucks from killua and his experiences. like after gon saves killua from his family, killua doesn't kill anybody else aside from a few ants before the mutual understanding of their species happens.
so like, when it comes to rgu and pmmm are people just so used to viewing girls as not being able to be complex that they take everything in either show at face value? because that's really what it sounds like to me lmao
YEAH LIKE basically what im getting is that if killua was a girl, she'd get people calling her either a mary sue or having the fans get pissed at the writers for putting her through a devastating character arc.
plus ppl devalue both shows to the point where they say they're similar enough to be alternatives to each other. like if you call rgu and pmmm basically the same "but one has less torture porn (therefore its less bad" then ngl i dont think you actually respect either of these shows.

ok actually tripleposting. gushing abt hollow skull time
emily's dead is abt an irl abuser and the title was intentionally just a fucking shock. tbh this song is kind of the perfect intro to the album bc it's probably the album at its least developed and least catchy, if you can sit through it you're in for a treat.
tactical gear is abt ... 🥰 you know hehe. song itself is a big pulsating banger that really didn't need to elaborate or explore much, i wish i did more with it ngl but it's fine.
minotauros is abt parental abuse, specifically 1 fight i had w my mom during development and it really has apparently been the standout according to most listeners. it was my original pick for least good but i realize in hindsight i was so on the ball with it. the revision really showed it everything.
guard dog is abt like 5 things but i imagine specifically being walked w ash into somewhere uncomfortable for both of us and the inevitable despair of being separated for some reason. i really deeply love the sound of this one, i did such a good job with building its soundscape imo.
sore in public is still my best song imo. fucking stunningly perfect, not a second wasted or misused. the first half already feels like it has a surprise in the dissonance with the ED refrain, and then that second half hits you like a fucking truck!!!
statues cry is abt my overdose and it's become a sleeper hit of mine. that back half and esp the ending where the first motif slams against the new, groovier backing goes so hard. i love how incomprehensibly big the bass sounds, it took forever to get how i want it.
pill swig envy is just. god. 2 good songs rolled into one. first half is a banger reimagining of one of my fav melodies, and second half is a reimagining of another but if it was fucking deranged. this song's about jealousy and mental health and i wanted to capture the complex vibes.
grope my teeth is such fucking. chaos all the time but i did so fucking well. the parts where the whole song cuts around the shot sound effects are supposed to represent sedation. i love the 12/8+4/8 section too.
blessed be the permanence is arguably the least narratively developed, but i think it holds up really well as a good moment of clarity before endlessly fucking eviscerates you. it's abt collaring and uses a motif from my main antagonist's theme from when i was like 13. i wanted it to feel like finality in fates in all ways.
endlessly is so. it's the core song it's remaking yes but it's specifically also a medley of the entire album as it just fucking swells and fills in and sprawls outwards and then it just bursts. i love how it just ends so quietly.
i'm considering re-releasing hsss on its 1 year anniversary with a bonus song and maybe some extended / reworked versions. not sure if i should tho. anyways like and subscribe thanks for wa

CC is clearly biased for Herondales. She tries really hard to make the reader find Herondales attractive the truth is I never felt more dry reading about Jace, Stephen, Will and James. They do nothing for me. They all have the same personality except for James who has next to no personality aside for being constantly horny for Cordeila. I dare any person disagreeing with my statement give me 5 difference between Will, Jace and Stephen personality wise. Despite all her efforts to make us like Herondales I always found the other characters more attractive. Jem over Will. Anyone over Jace. Michael over stephen. Anna over James honestly anyone over James. Kit is a mini jace no originality. Freaking Manuel from TDA came off as more attractive than Jace and that says alot 💀.
Oh and can someone please tell me her obsession with eyes, weird ass body proportions and no one mentions the way shadowhunters walk sounds hilarious ngl like what what do you mean they walk like cats or lions or dancers. If shadowhunters's walks are like cats does that mean Jace walks are cattier cuz of all the extra angel blood. I try to picture Jace's walking and all I can imagine is Andrew tate's looney tunes fruity ass walk.
Her books are the fast food of literature as a booktuber described it as.
Period.
I said sometime before that the side characters are more interesting because they aren't (as) surrounded by Clare's bias or manipulative narration. Therefore more likable because I am not force-fed how great and amazing they are, I just get to take my time with them and get familiarized with their characters on my own. Problems also arise with Jace having problems more important than the others, that his issues are the grandest and most highlighted. Also Jace, Clary, and Simon are the only necessary characters whose stories are tied to the main plot. Even their romances (Clary with both Jace and Simon) have plot relevance. Others not so much.
As Clare's writing has always been more or less mostly telling than showing, it's not surprising that she needs to tell how amazing the Herondale's are instead of actually basing her pretense on actually showing. Instead the readers are just offered this premise in every story, every other character is written just admiring and loving them, so it must be true? Just have characters fawn over someone and you bet the readers will also. Right.
Clare seems to think that other characters telling things is showing.
Clare's attention strips any side character of all intrigue and turns them into what Clare's protagonists usually are. Then they become all looks and hair and eye colors and wear white shirts through which their marks shine through (like Jace literally in every TMI book). Some concepts which Clare presents in her series are complex and complicated, I can agree with that, but her writing is unable to capture any depth or meaning of any of them. Attributing factor to this her always ending up focusing majorly on love, especially the romantic kind of the main couple, as the motivator. I've read amazing pieces of TSC fan fiction, the kind of thoughtful and honest looks on the characters that Clare is unable to acknowledge on her part.
Her writing only presents the shallowest of emotions. Her writing on grief, loss, or love aren't really thought-provoking, just more cookie-cutter ideas on top of the previous ones. Not that all writing absolutely needs or has to be insightful, it's just that people pretend her writing is deeper than it actually is. Like people think chopped-up sentences are anything but surface-level poetry when in its essence poetry as an art and craft is more than that.
Everyone is so on money with James' lack of personality. When he got furious with Grace (rightly so BUT) I felt really weird about it. You're message really helped me figure it out though: I had no idea of his personality nor any prediction on how he may react to more controversial happenings. Well, that's not true. Everyone on the Righteous Side of things in TSC always react with fury, roasting the antagonists crisp with their verbalism. But still I had no idea. Who is this guy calling Grace a criminal and a fiend? I don't know him at all.
And what makes the Herondales great really? I don't see why James or Will are anymore heroic than Clary, Cordelia, Emma, Simon, Alec, or Isabelle. I don't think Tessa as particularly heroic but that's also my faint memory of TID and disgust of her talking, so this is not to be entirely trusted.

Reading ch 10 immediately after ch 9 was nice. 9 flowed into 10 really naturally and the tone of 10 was a great balance to 9
I'm beginning to see this as a sort of "us against the world" narrative. Not in the traditional sense of everybody is out to get us, because Tommy & Wil obviously have some people by their side (such as Techno). It's also very different from typical us against the world stories, because of how complex each and every relationship in the fic is. What's giving me that feeling is the fact that Tommy & Wil are set apart from everybody else due to how hard it is to understand their bond. Sometimes the world around them aligns with their goals and treats them well. Other times... well, last chapter.
This alone time together was much needed.
The way the conversation was approached says a lot about how Wilbur thinks about his past. Some parts of the conversation seem relatively easy for him. Like talking about the foster homes. Then some things make him uncomfortable - he keeps trying to beat around the bush of his time as the Pythia and Tommy keeps prodding for that info (very in character). That's when he starts putting up walls.
I think that his past, before he became the Pythia, was not very traumatic despite its difficulty. Obviously it was distressing - people process distressing things in different ways. Some things are traumatizing for some, while they don't turn into such big issues down the line for other people. Wilbur might be experiencing some trauma from that era that I either don't notice or I'm attributing to his time as the Pythia. Either that or becoming the Pythia kind of masked some of the issues he had developed/replaced those issues with worse ones
I wouldn't be surprised if being on the streets made the process of becoming the Pythia more intense/worse. He may have been more susceptible to the messages the previous Pythia was telling him due to the fact that he had never had a proper role model before. Maybe if he had more positive influences before becoming the Pythia, the idea of being the pythia might have been something of a performance instead of what happened - Wilbur fully believing that being the Pythia is the only identity he has. That's all speculation though.
Back to the conversation itself. Tommy's comment about how he likes the current Wilbur is probably going to be something that really sticks with Wilbur even if he doesn't want to admit it. I like all the humorous bits and the worldbuilding features - ofc this world would have alcoholic gasoline. That tracks. It sounds absolutely vile but I am not surprised that it exists in this universe
It goes without saying that the ending was a very important moment. Adds to the theme of trust that's been developed between the two of them. The last line was something that was inevitable. Wilbur and Tommy have been so close to fully understanding each other this entire time, but just a little bit too far. I don't think this line means that they do have that full comprehension. This is another huge step in the right direction
I'm wondering what might happen next. This fic feels very unpredictable at times - keeps me at the edge of my seat. I have a feeling that something bad might happen next chapter. Based on your end note I'm thinking that it's going to be another big shift or development. As I said though, it's really hard to predict where this is going.
So my only real prediction - the one that I'm at least somewhat confident about - is that the "us against the world" tone is going to continue (of course with all the caveats and nuance that I described earlier). Essentially, I think that Tommy and Wilbur are going to continue to face problems with each other.

yes it definitely plays into an 'us against the world' kind of narrative. not in the typical sense like you said, but because everyone else is such an outsider to the strange dynamic they've developed. the trust and understanding that shouldn't be there, but is anyway.
it's definitely easier for wilbur to talk about the parts of his life that feel more 'separate' from where he is now. ie: when he was in the group home and then living on the streets he was in a very different situation than he is now as the pythia. also, if he talks about becoming the pythia, he knows tommy is going to criticize aspects of it which is just something he doesn't want to get into. he doesn't want to give tommy any 'fuel' per se to criticize pythian tradition. because the more he picks at it, the more he's going to be forced to recognize how fucked up it is, which isn't something he wants to do
yeah the thing is, while his time on the streets was definitely difficult, it wasn't nearly as damaging to his psyche as becoming the pythia was. pretty much all the bullshit with being the pythia overshadowed any issues he might've had from that period of his life, so while it wasn't easy to be a kid on the street, he's able to talk about it a lot more than anything involving his role as the pythia.
also while I get where you're coming from, I don't necessarily wanna say that wilbur was more susceptible to losing his identity to the role of the pythia than other people would be. because the kind of trauma he's gone through has happened to every pythia before him for generations now. even if the other pythia had better childhoods than he did, the traditions and the institutions are designed to break down their identities and turn them into hollow vessels because that's their purpose. so sure, maybe wilbur fell into it a bit faster than someone else would've, but they all would get to that point of losing their own identity eventually because that's what the system is designed to do
oh yeah he definitely doesn't wanna admit it but that comment is gonna stick with him for sure

yeah the last line wasn't meant to convey that they have perfect comprehension of each other now. they definitely don't. but they're on the same page with how their dynamic works. it was a silent acknowledgement of "we both care about each other even though we have no reason to"

I've always loved drawing ever since I was a kid 💖✨
I think I began drawing more manga oriented stuff when I was about 12 or 13 🤔🤔 But there were some longer breaks in between during high school and university years, when I didn't draw at all. I really started to draw more seriously again when I was around 22-23. It was around that time when I switched to digital and I stuck to it ever since, because it suited me better than traditional.
And well.. that was 10 years ago!! 😅😳😬🙈
It was a hobby for me at first but I draw partly professionally nowadays as a freelancer. (I think I mentioned it before, but this here is a side blog)
The discussion about talent is always a very complex thing. But here is my personal take on it. Imo talent can help you to learn faster, grasp certain things or skills easier. But in the end talent will get you nowhere if you don't practice. It can help, but without the hard work to back it up, it won't do anything.
And about being stuck.. I feel that very much!! 😅😭
It took me literal years before I was even remotely satisfied with my own art style 😅😅🙈🙈
I failed many many many times before I arrived where I am today.
I hated my own drawings.
I struggled with anatomy, perspective, clothes...
(I still hate fabric folds with a passion 🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥💥💥)
etc etc etc.
I also still struggle with things today.
They are just different, new struggles than a few years ago 😂🙈
I also felt so stuck with my art progress at several points..
Especially about 5 years ago.
That is something very normal I think. It's totally ok! 💖
Art progress doesn't happen in a linear way, but it has its ups and downs, its waves and its increments. But in the end what is most important is to keep on going! 💪💪🔥🔥💖💖
Don't get me wrong..
I don't want to intimidate anyone by throwing out those numbers.. but I want to give you a relation, if that makes sense. 🤔🤔🤔
Ngl it might take many years to reach a point where you are happy with your own art. And it will be a shit ton of hard work.

They are so important and absolutely necessary to learn and grow!
I am still using tons of them even now. Look at tutorials, watch how other people draw stuff. Draw studies. Look at your environment with open eyes. Stop every now and then just to look at things and analyse them. How does this plant look? How does this hoodie fold when you move your arms? How does your hand look when you hold a pair of scissors? Take your own pictures as a base to draw!

I'm actually quite shy with writing NSFW but my writings with Spuk have really helped me realize that I don't have to be guilty about those topics. Usually this occurs when kissing starts getting more intense and hands are placed on one another; it isn't so much that I consider it NSFW, but I like to tag what is going on just so people can decide for themselves if they'd like to read it!
――ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?
I have absolutely no issue with saying that I'm very picky when it comes to shipping any of my characters, I can generally pretty quickly pick up when characters have chemistry together but it takes time for me to be invested and keep interest. Robin has a lot of complexities that tend to not work well in shipping situations and Haru is....an experience. So I tend to be very selective with shipping, there's only a few exceptions to this like how me and Spuk have a lil Frank/Haru thing going on despite Haru being shipped with Tarhos, its a one-off and fun and since most of my ships are with Spuk anyway well...I feel comfortable to explore that with him without worrying about "Ohhh but Tarhos!"

Haru gets along really well with Durkos, Sander, and Alejandro! While I don't view them as romantically involved with eachother (thats a convo I'd have to have simply bc I never considered it) I do know that they deeply care for eachother and have had some sexual encounters.

I generally like to confirm with my shipping partner that they feel the same way - just because I can see something doesn't mean they do, or vice verse and that's completely fine. While chemistry is, mostly, extremely obvious in a lot of cases, I still just prefer to confirm it.

To be completely honest I'm so horrible with shipping that I didn't even realize people really shipped things within the game; particularly since Riot isn't the best with making new champion interactions. I enjoy my mutuals ships, frankly, but I don't know if they would ever be something I would have thought of without them. Although a ship I DO love and absolutely delight in is GaloLio from Promare!

Alright so
Its only well tought and complex because when I am bored or tried I think scenarios so that means
There are multiple scenarios that have been around my head for a long time from different fandoms and with different scenarios
I dont claim imagination bc most of the things I use are either cannon in some fandom or fannon
But when there I some sort of original idea old things and scenarios that are possible just reappear and I just blend
it also helps that when I write I remember things and can make it sound more clear than what I have in my head
Tbh when I started writing the shit for Takemichi as an experiment I just had în mind thing like:
Experiment like Chuuya but with time,
Not vessel but vessel like maybe
Not original ability user maybe
Trained before the war
And look where it got with the first 3 points that I already have the oc short of vessel made(not really oc but a different fandom char but meh),how he become and experiment, what the experiment whas (shorta)
Yough tbh I dont really what to say about being trained before the war oart now
We will see what ill write bc all I have now in head is Marvel Red Room type of training along with something else(what idk but I wanna spice it up)
