gunil is a whiner

so one day when he complains that "don't you think it's kinda misandrist that only women get flowers most of the time"

you think that's a direct jab at you because he does in fact, get you flowers all the time

on your next date you order sunflowers for him

it arrives via delivery and when he opens the door, he kinda smirks

"finally, i'm being appreciated around here" (jokingly)

he places the flowers in the vase you usually use

later on you find out he saved the petals of the sunflower in a ziploc bag

you teach him how to press and dry flowers for preservation

when he sees your collection of dried flowers from all those times he gifted you, he's so touched

looks at you like you're his whole world as you continue to demonstrate how to do it

⠀⠀ jungsu ⠀⠀

jungsu talks about getting plants for his room all the time but never actually does

so you bought him a pretty orchid to place on his windowsill

he loves it and takes care of it really well

he once read that plants have feelings

so he spoke to the orchid every night, pretending like the both of you were its parents

one day you caught him singing to it

"since when did you start giving private concerts to the plant, jungsu?"

"shut up. water your child, it's dying"

and you're just like??? but you do it anyways

taking care of orchids together become your shared hobby

years down the line, jungsu makes sure the flowers at your wedding are orchids

⠀⠀ gaon ⠀⠀

you were on a picnic date at a meadow

gaon made all this effort to set the date up, even making (which you start to suspect that he actually just bought) all the food you were currently eating

you felt kinda bad, as you didn't prepare anything (well to be fair this date was a surprise)

so while he was setting up the picnic basket earlier, you took the liberty to venture

you found a small wildflower bed full of marigolds and daises

you gathered the brightest and prettiest ones, the ones that best resemble gaon

so when you tell him "close your eyes I have a surprise for you"

and he opens them he's genuinely surprised that it's flowers

his heart goes like awwwww

but ngl he thought you were gonna plant a kiss on his lips

"I can do that as well, jiseok"

he got the kisses and the flowers, it's a happy day for him

"are those flowers?"

he stares at the meal your prepared him, edible flowers prettily arranged on top

you spent the whole day cooking for your date and bought edible flowers to decorate the salads

he's in awe because he's never tried it before

neither have you, so you're hoping it tastes okay

when you both sit down and take your first bites

seungmin says "babe is it me or it just tastes like plants"

"i sure hope so, because it is indeed, a plant"

"right".

you both just sorta stare at each other then laugh

he reaches for your hand across the table to bring it to his lips

"thank you for the meal babe, i love it"

he kisses your hand with such sincerity you want to cry

⠀⠀ junhan ⠀⠀

there was an old lady selling the last of her roses for the day by your university

they weren't anything particularly special, but they were individually wrapped so prettily you couldn't resist

she told you they'd wilt soon, so she's giving them at half the price to students

you decided to buy a red rose to give to junhan

as you stopped by his dorms, you found him strumming on his guitar

you jokingly threw the flower at him and said "bravo, encore encore!"

he picks up the flower and puts it in between his lips and bows, going along with the bit

you both laugh at each others' antics

junhan is goofier since you came along

⠀⠀ jooyeon ⠀⠀

jooyeon has received flowers from someone he personally knew in his life exactly 3 times

when he graduated high school, his debut showcase, and his first concert (all came from his parents btw)

so when you visit him in the inkigayo green room with a bouquet of brightly colored carnations he doesn't even think that those are for him

"huh, who gave those to you?"

"it's for you, jooyeon...."

and he's all confused like "what, why?"

and you're also confused as to why he's confused like? "congrats on your comeback and new mini-album?"

jooyeon takes the bouquet and smiles at the message you wrote

"to my favorite rockstar, jooyeon"

every time he made a comeback or released a new single, you would send him different flowers

in return, he places a kiss on your forehead

So just finished watching the ep so review. Spoils ahead:

So the episode was ok to me, solid 6/10 one of the better episodes which since this was supposed to be an "extravagant" ep why does it got better quality than the main eps, idk Viv has her moments like this ep and other eps its a train wreck in writing ect.

Mammon worked on my nerves, from design to his movements, personality ALL of him was annoying, which props for an annoying Villian but its Villian I never want to see back again and he's hinted for some sort of return.

Side tangent: Mammon is like the how many-ith Villian to get a return ep/hint at one. It was 1st cherubs, then dorks, then stella/ice twink, striker/crimson now Mammon & according to the leaked storyboards a ghost guy that tries to talk IMP into off-ing themselves... its a flipping lot and cherubs & dorks seem to be forgotten dispite dorks knowing & having hard evidence they exist, flip Viv chill it with your Villian of the week cos its way too many now.

Anyway, Blitz didn't need to be in this ep besides the flashback. Ozzie got him to talk Fizz out of being Mammon's puppet but ultimately Ozzie spoke him out of it & gave him courage to quit/confront Mammon. Even Blitz being a bodyguard/killing people for Fizz could've been any imp. Blitz is starting to feel like Steven from SU, in every ep even tho the ep doesn't need him/ the episode surrounds topics a wee child shouldn't be in (i.e Lapis trauma dumping on Steven & he a child isn't really equipped to handle that situation).

My fave part of this ep was Ozzie and Fizz. Ya'll I legit prayed Viv wouldn't mess these two up and my prayers were answered. Absolutely a joy these two were. Fizz especially what a darling. Loved that small scenes with him and the deaf imp child, l dont know sign language but it looked genuine animated and was just sweet moments.

From their interactions, Fizz's panic attacks/self doubt felt & were genuine... I felt that as someone that has panic attacks from high stress on my studies/life. It was just handled well. Fizz feeling less than and needing to prove himself from 1. his past 2. his appearance, that accident affected his self image/worth so much (why I felt him forgiving Blitz was too hastily done but I digress) & 3. him doing this Mammon contest still to gain/earn Ozzie's love for him cos Fizz believes Ozzie only sticks around because of this fame Mammon gave Fizz. Ozzie finally saying what he loves about Fizz was lovely, wanted that in the 1st ep but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Their song was... I didn't like it BUT the message in it was beautiful. Lastly Fizz saying fuck you to Mammon from the courage/strength Ozzie gave him was a nice send off... also Ozzie saying he loves Fizz ah ngl that made me smile agh I just love them. I want to see them more than the Stolitz show but thats only a wish. Props Viv, you get 1 brownie point not messing this up.

Last findings, the ep was bloated as hell my soul Viv please stop cramming so much in an ep, this one is 30 mins long & yet still felt bloated. Pacing was a motherfuka damn it was bad & the swearing was jarring (its a Viv written ep I don't expect any less but still gonna point it out) and the comedy wasn't so prominent in this ep, Blitz/Mammon gave some comic relief but in the best and worst ways:

The way the VA delivered this line "to be fucked" made me laugh, the line is cringy but the delivery lol gold

Aand Blitz, my soul shut the fuck up & get out this ep. Last ep & this one he said something so agonizingly cringe I pulled my face

The world of HB is legit American hell or earth just painted red since Fizz named all these places in America just "hellified" where his fans come from.

And very last, congratulations Salem glad you got the cathartic send off you deserve from working under Viv, truly fuck you "Mammon" indeed :) also glad they credited you this time.

God I kinda feel bad for tinybuild

Don't get me wrong, I'm as hyped and ready for season 2 to drop as everyone else, but the spam of comments they get on every video and post asking- no, demanding a release date and just being rude about is so uncool. To the point where the other half of the comments are people complaining about the former.

Tinybuild is a publisher, they gather multiple development teams together, giving them budgets to fund new projects and things like that. To pretend Welcome to Ravenbrooks or Hello Neighbor as a whole is the only important project they have is so mean not only to them as a publisher but to the dev teams under their umbrella.

Their other games are so fun and wonderful and seeing new projects from them is so nice, heck my dad has Playstation premium and one of the free monthly games is Totally Reliable Delivery Service, and god is it just so fun. Me and him spent several hours just fucking around and trying to deliver a fish to a ferris wheel simply because it made us laugh.

Do I believe the problem people are here on Tumblr? Not really, no, like I've kinda said before, the youtube side of the fandom just seems to be- problem children (I could say that about a lot of fandoms ngl-) but, idk, I know there's not much that can be done about it, but it just sort of frustrates me.

And in the kindest way, I'd just like to remind everyone to be patient and kind while waiting for season 2. I know the initial goal was early 2024 but animation is hard, and given that if TinyBuild had gone bankrupt we wouldn't have gotten any season 2 at all, I'm willing to wait as long as it'll take. Just from the teasers and clips we've seen I know it'll be great.

It's kinda like the Spiderverse franchise, sure at the time was I hyped for a summer 2024 release? Yeah, but I will happily wait for something they think is their best product.

"After a Long Day" Headcanons

I'm bored, sick, and thinking about a brief conversation that me and @penncilkid had the other night, so here's a list of different redacted bois coming home after a long day.

I'm not gonna do all the redacted bois, but here are the ones that are in this post: Milo, Asher, David, and Guy

Milo is always about physical contact. He usually uses this tactic for when Sweetheart is working too hard, but he loves being able to hold his mate close at any moment. When he's had a hard shift, he wouldn't even say anything to Sweetheart before dragging them to the couch and trapping them there. This always amuses Sweetheart. They would spend this time talking at to Milo, finding any way to kiss any part of him. There would be nothing going on, just Sweetheart's soft voice, their hands and lips against his skin, and the love that he feels for them.

Asher seeks out comfort foods when he gets home from a long day. Baabe would help prepare said food (most of it was junk, or things that he would make with his family, but it didn't matter to Baabe what it was as long as it helped.) After the things were made, they would build a nest in the living room and settle in it to play games for hours on end. They would eat, laugh, and make stupid bets while playing games just for the fun of it.

David is a tough guy, and he usually won't admit when he's tired after a long day. However, when he gets home and is just a little bit more clingy than usual, Angel usually catches on. This is where they would start to do damage control, complaining about how tired they were, and how much their coworkers got on their nerves, and "will you cuddle with me?"s until David 'gives in' because he'd do anything for his Angel. This was the first part of their plan. Angel would then get David to lie down in their lap so they'd be able to play with his hair. David would protest half-heartedly, but he never won the fight. Angel moved on to the third part of the plan, putting on a series of YouTube videos that they watched regularly and turned the volume down so it was just background noise. They would run their fingers through his hair, and David would slowly relax and close his eyes. Sometimes he'd fall asleep like that. Angel never did tease him for when he was like this, but they did take pride in the fact that he could help them relax.

Guy would usually be the opposite of how he normally acts, which is Honey's first clue to how his day went. When he's had a long day, it's usually because he had a lot of deliveries/customers and was just human'd out for the day. Honey would ask him point-blank if he wanted to have their presence or not. If he said no, Honey would give him a kiss before sending him to bed, telling him they were there if they needed him. They would get made fun of for being so soft, but he still listened. If he did want them to stick around, the two of them would end up on the couch tangled together watching one of their shows. Honey would be running their hands along his body in a soothing manner, sometimes running their fingers into his hair, but there would be no talking. There would be no expectation of conversation, or jokes, or anything like that. Guy appreciated it more than anything being able to just exist like that.

Angel's voice grates on my ears a lot of the time, he's always pushing his range so high-pitched that his voice keeps cracking and its really putting me off when he gets lines... Hopefully he loosens up in future episodes. Also love how the only jokes so far that have made me laugh are ones without ANY excess swearing.. (Adam's "So what'd you do this weekend" fucking killed me ngl)

Agreed, on both points. Poor Blake's trying his damndest to sound like Michael which I'm sure Viv loves, but no one can be Michael. Michael's gone, like Viv wanted him to be.

"So, what'd you do this weekend?" was one of my favorites too. It's so funny and Alex's delivery is so good that you have to wonder if it wasn't ad-libbed.

i assume what you meant was "top 6 in two different categories", right? great. awesome. so!

we'll start with the more serious scenes:

this scene made me fundamentally fall in love with msp and tinn forever. no unnecessary drama, no miscommunication. just a brave boy telling the truth and being better at communicating than most adults i know.

ohhh i'm cheating! i know, i know. these scenes are giving very different vibes as well. but the way msp handled parents on both sides (especially with how different they are) is equally important to me. gun's mom being so wonderful and supportive and exactly as a mom should be, while tinn's mom apologises, admits her mistakes, and promises to do better. perfect, no notes.

i adore this scene for how simple and realistic it is. tinn and gun slowly getting to know each other, getting closer in the most mundane way possible /pos. this is what is at the core of this series, i think. real and beautiful relationships that you can imagine being in yourself.

win is gonna be stupid about them for a while, but this scene is a fundamental soundwin scene to me. and it shifted my opinion on sound so dramatically when i first watched it, i think it really shows his personality so well.

the closing scene with chinzhilla is so bittersweet and wonderful. i love friendship! and sound talking about how he fit in with everyone else so well and how the rest of the band welcomed him makes it all the more beautiful *wipes tear away*

i did a silly little umbrella drawing on this scene back when i was rewatching msp for the anniversary, because i just love it so much. tiw and tinn's friendship means the world to me, and tiw's unwavering support is so sweet. also! i got close to my very first best friend ever in grade 8 because i had a crush on a boy, and she was willing to listen to me rant about him and shipped the hell out of us. so it reminds me of that as well.

at its heart, msp is a comedy, so i absolutely must include my favourite comedic scenes as well:

any "tinn is being delusional about gun" scene is always on the borderline of funny and adorable, but i will put it here. my cringefail little guy, i love him so <3

tinn having the funniest break down on earth (+ tiw's expressions on the other end of the line) will never not be iconic.

we love a little bit of funny jealousy. and tiw's absolutely hilarious expressions, once again. tinn's acting partner literally has a girlfriend, gun, relax!

of course, shakespearean levels of jealousy is also one of those iconic, i-am-audibly-laughing scenes. i can hear that line in my mind at least three times a day.

drunk gun almost attacking jorn is both hilarious and very real. i also want to practice smacking him ngl.

this scene is genuinely everything to me. seeing what's going on in tinn's head is always fun, but this particular scene with fourth's hilarious delivery had me rolling on the floor. bye! *slides away with a blank expression*

Nimona appreciation post (Part 1 of I don't even know how many there will be)

Sooo, I'm rewatching Nimona for probably the 100th time now and I just need to fangirl/rant a bit to someone but as I don't have friends who liked the movie as much as me, I'm gonna write a little (or more like long) post about the first movie that touched my heart like this since forever. This is mostly going to be about details and stuff that just got to me and probably not in the order you see it in the movie (I'm gonna try but it's not gonna be 100% correct), so please bear with me. Pic for attention btw lol I did read the comic but only after watching the movie and ngl I like the movie better, maybe I wouldv'e liked it better if I read it when it came out/I was younger Also have a lil spoiler warning, just in case.

the beginning with Nimona narrating Gloreth's myth is nice and I really like the style.

loving the eyes of the 'monster' when she says "because the monsters are always out there"

"The Knight to knight"- Theme is sooo good and I looove that there is a bit of Ballisters Theme in it too

the music as a whole for the movie was soooo goood, Christophe Beck didn't nee to go that hard, but he did and I'm really thankful for that

the only line of the movie I wanted to hear in the dub of my first language/mother tongue gets delivered so good. Btw I watched the movie exclusively in english (eng dub and sub), just changed the dub for that one line but damn the amount of laughing I did after the delivery of "And tonight's the night we knight the knights!" in the german dub made my stomach hurt

the establishment of Bal as our main hero is so nice, I'm already proud of his accomplishments even tho we didn't really got to know him until now

I still think that maybe Bal is a secret child of the queen, look at them together when he was a child, you can't tell me otherwise, that head canon lives rent-free in my head

the introduction of Ambrosius is also good, you immediatly think he is some kind of Jock/Douche/Bully with all that Sportdrink-Ad, his "Hi", the sparkling Tooth-thingy, the "Woo!" and taking a photo-thing

the VA of the "It's not what Gloreth wanted"-Girl did such a good job ngl

the shot of Bal alone on that Balcony (?) watching the reporter ask if they will accept him even tho he might not be right and hearing the people boo kinda hit me a bit to hard for the fact that that problem for me is just in my head and not something I have a problem with in the society I'm in

Ambrosius jokingly asking that question and being a goofy guy surprised my the first time around and it's just cute to see, I guess

their eyes and smiles and stuff in the first few seconds you see them together just immediatly made me ship them

Bals little smile when Amb says he's gonna be a night is too precious

you won't believe how I screamed at the "They're gonna love you, like I do."-Scene and I still am in love with that scene, it gives me such a warm feeling

just telling you now, I don't know how to describe it but I'm kind of in love with their love, all the little things you notice when you really look at them interacting and stuff

also loving how Bal just leans his whole body with head on Ambs shoulder <3 it's as if he's made to be there

the heart eyes when Amb helped Bal with his armour

also funny how different their armour is: Amb has gold armour cause Gloreth probably; Bal has black armour which looks older, heavier, clunkier if you will that just shows how much more he had to work for the position he's in; Todd has silver/iron armour like the rest of the knights but it looks a bit shinier in my eyes, probably cause he's a bit of an attention seeker

Loving Ambs whole reactions when Todd messes with Bal, the twisting of his eyes when Todd first comes in to contact with Bal, the immediate angry eyes, him glancing at Todds Arm/Hand on Bals shoulder, him tensing up a few times while Tod talks, you can visibly see him breath btw (the animation team did nopt mess around), how he catches Bal as if it's nothing, his eyes going big and him getting visibly madder when Todd touches Bals face/chin and his absolutely ready-to-throw-down-body language

Same scene just Bal: he's a bit confused first, then exchanging glances with Amb, him looking a bit angry when Todd fist bumps his armour, his short glance forward when Todd just stops mid sentence, his "I knew it, he's still a lil d*ck"-look, also interesting how his eyes always stay on Todds eyes even tho Todd is very jumpy in this scene, his lil side glance to Amb when Todd shouts: "Hey, everybody" knowing how ready Amb is to deck that idiot straight in the face, also him holding Amb back and shaking his head a bit

the nervous Squire who should've just manne up a bit dang it

Bal immediatly noticing something is wrong with his sword and being distracted by the Squire

Todd in the background with his "Smack that hard. Slap it!"

my hate for the director grows everytime I hear her saying "Today is the day the kingdom will see you for who you really are." (but great foreshadowing that she's the big evil)

Amb being the only one who just says "Director" instead of some form of thank you just shows to me that he prob had a bit of privilege even among the other knights

Bal probably would've been everyones favourite student/knight if he would've been a noble

Bal riding out in the arena is me at every event, especially if there are more than like 3 people looking at me lol

Ambs lil wink to Bal and Bals lil laugh

those proud eyes that are totally in love

Sir Nectar-of-the-gods good-in-bed lol

doesn't matter what anyone says: Boldheart fits this character way more than Blackheart (the latter fits the comic version, but Boldheart is so much better for movie!Bal in my opinion)

Bal looking for Amb while getting on the stage and both of their smiles/grins are so precious

the queens little guesture when he says that anyone who wants to hold the sword could do so i kinda cute and he seems like a good leader who probably was working hard to get everyone to be equal

the little girl who stands up while the queen speaks is the one who Bal mitake for Nimona at the end, isn't she? Or do I imagine that?

the queen is 100% proud of Bal and who wouldn't?

the pause before the people start to cheer… Bals reaction as if he was sure that only this reaction wass possible makes me so sad

Ambrosius cheering and being so proud is adorable

Bal looking around and his breathing… just as if a heavy weight fell from his shoulders

now to Bals sword: first it looks hella cool, second I love that G (probably for Gloreth or Goldenloin, I guess) that got scratched an is now a B, third the scratches are kinda green on this sword while the ones on the original sword are more golden in my opinion

Bals unbelieving look when the laser hits the queen

Ambrosiu' paniced look and how he chop off Bals arm (instead of just disarming or something) says everything about how that society is (instead of trying to confront a problem just destroy it at the roots)

after the sword shatters Amb already ha let go of his sword and he looks like he can't believe what he did

Bals confused/ begging for understanding lookjust breaks my heart here

I find it kinda funny that in the subs a man shouts "Arret him! He kille the queen!" when that "man" ounds so much like Todd

Nimonas introduction is also spot on, I alreay loved her in the first frame

And know I wanna rewatch Kipo

Loving how she says "He's perfect." after the person on the news say "He's a monster."

Bal is such a badass for building his own arm and stuff, I really don't wanna go to the psychological and physically trauma he ha to have gone through/still going through until and at that moment

Bal basically is such a competent person until he thinks/lookss at Ambrosius, then it's almost as if he has just one braincell

I like the lyrics the moment he turn the radio off, I mean: "Red lights flash so we run and we hide" and he probably thinks that the knocks are police/knights

Bal just being competent and catching the bucket so it doesn't make more noise

Live action Yu Yu Hakusho liveblog: ep 1

This is so much fun. Nostalgia time. 13 year old me is LIVING

Warning for like whole ep 1 spoilers and all

Yusuke and Botan look great which I already knew going in from the gifset that informed me this show exists lol, but it's delightful, bc the characters in this show aren't necessarily the easiest to translate to live action

Botan is adorable. Her hair is adorable. And I'm delighted to see that Yusuke's hair is the Correct amount of Poufy

Plot twist: Kuwabara hot. He looks great actually. Translated nonliterally compared to Yusuke but v well. The actor is selling me on it too, fun casting

Kuwabara was always hard for me to watch in the original bc he set off my vicarious embarrassment soo hard. Glad they're less committed to making him the constant source of painful comedic relief here lol

KOENMA PACIFIER REVEAL I LOVE IT

Laughed out loud for real tbh

Idk if I'm a little disappointed he's not a baby but like live action would make that ridic hard to do in a lot of ways so I don't blame them at all. He's in his adult form which makes sense. Still damn glad they kept the pacifier it is RUINING his dignity and I love it

I also don't blame them for cutting the flying oar effects. A lil sad but the initial transition to Reikai looked great so they're forgiven

Yusuke. "No thanks." I knew it was coming and the delivery still made me laugh out loud. Just dropped it in there. Yusuke I love you please see a therapist

Fight scenes are v creative and p epic

Seriously they do a really good job of making Yusuke's fighting style as a human believable, fun to watch, and effective. He rly does come off as just kind of a natural fighting genius (with practice ofc)

Sakyo in ep 1? Weird but I'm not opposed. The wavy hair is kinda freaking me out though ngl. Smoothness was just such his THING in the show it's distracting

Seriously I keep seeing flashes of the appearance and movements of people I know with developmental disabilities (particularly this one guy I know with cerebral palsy but also I've worked in care work for disabled adults and just kind of a lot of people in general) and. I hate this. Especially as a person who DOES have a (nonvisible) developmental disability myself. This is such a rising trend in horror/sff/fantasy tv/movies/video games and I hate everything about it. Hayao Miyazaki was right this kind of attitude and shit really is "an insult to life itself"

Kurama looks pretty good. Goki actually looks wayyyy better than he did in the anime imho, which I did not see coming.

Effects on Kurama and Hiei's fighting looks surprisingly great. They pulled off the rose whip way better than I thought they would, and did some great wirework with Hiei's speed and fighting style

That said....Hiei...oof. That hair was always gonna be a Challenge but I think their ambition here did uh. not play off rip. Hopefully it'll look better later on

Is it weird that I like it when Romana yells at men... It might be a kink.

I love the costumes of the 70s, they're just groovy... Is groovy still a thing? Eh who cares. I like it. It's the correct word for the costumes I like.

The Doctor just called K9 a girl... and then five minutes later a boy. It made me laugh ngl, because K9 is neither, hes metal baby. I love the sound effects in this story. But overall I didn't enjoy the story all that much. When I got to episode two, I felt like I was further than episode two, if that makes sense.

okie so ur guy finally got around to watching Bare : The Musical (mouse!! why?? because!! I love comparisons <3) and anyway. thought I’d document my thoughts

tldr; I think I would like Bare: The Musical as a standalone story, but as a Bare: A Pop Opera adaptation/re-interpretation I think it falls short in a lot of ways.

it gets a bit long so under the cut, if you wanna skip the dot points i summarise/reiterate down the bottom of the post

okay no but the photographic memory detail is kinda interesting. kinda sad in a lot of ways too if you think about it

the audio quality is Not It so forgive me if I don’t pass judgement on any of the songs

“Jason you act every day.” “I didn’t fool you <3” they’re cuties // they are SUCH goofballs here! they’re so dumb! teenageboycore if there ever was! I love them <3

it’s so WEIRD to hear a lot of these lines out of order / in a different context

ALSO the lack of singing during auditions is throwing me off

Matty Patty babey boy!!! he’s so… he’s so something. idk if I like it yet. im very used to introvertedly anxious Matt but this Matt is such a lil cutie

i feel like they definitely tried to recycle a bit of the early versions of the Father Flynn storylines for Father Mike here - like they don’t explicitly go for the queer angle but it feels a little bit alluded to, imo

the fucking bookending!!! i’m such a sucker for that shit

oh. okay. it was certainly A Watch - definitely interesting! full of odd character choices I didn’t love, most notably the basketball team and the way that side plot played out, also the merging of Nadia & Lucas’ characters. I think it does a huge disservice to Nadia’s character, the McConnell twins relationship, Nadia & Peter’s relationship, & I like Lucas as a character (& a plot device) so it really feels like a lose-lose situation. And I would’ve liked to have Peter’s mother at least alluded to, especially given how much more Sister Joan seems to fill a motherly role (and it would’ve made sense thematically! Given his hypothetical conversion with Jason’s mother in You & I, coupled with Diane’s whole spiel about her mom being her best friend - it’s a missed opportunity imo) (even tho as established for this characterisation of Peter it’s not quite so necessary)

that said! credit where credit is due - I am supremely intrigued by the characterisation of… okay most of the cast now I’m thinking about it. Would definitely like to do a comparative character breakdown (let me know if anyone else would care for that at all).

Emo puppy dog Matt Lloyd you are so special (it’s such a silly way to play him!! the show all but eliminates the academic part of his and Jason’s rivalry and THAT makes me sad bc I think it would be so so interesting to play into the rivalry more with this Matt and this Jason - but the way Matt & Ivy’s relationship exists in this version of the show, the absolute lack of any academic focus At All [which?? like they are At School, that SHOULD count for something] and even the play part feels somewhat lacklustre in so regards to the Matt vs Jason element, which again I think is a mark against B;TM)

as I said above - I think I would like Bare: The Musical as a standalone story, but as a Pop Opera adaptation/re-interpretation I think it falls short in a lot of ways. Which is another point - it’s so so crazy to me that The Musical is the adaptation of the Pop Opera, not the other way around. Which kind of sucks! because I think making it into a book musical, not a sung-through show, does give a little more breathing room for character & relationship work and development, but it just seems ill utilised, to the point where it doesn’t even seem to match the Pop Opera, let alone improve/expand on it. Because all the extra dialogue time had to be spent on reordering the story beats so we ended up losing time with the characters in a way.

or at least that’s how it read to me - obviously I am not a professional reviewer/critic so don’t take my word for it, I just wanted to talk it out. or shout it out into the void, as my tumblr may be. if you read this whole thing?? shoutout to you, I love you <3

okay so i've watched 11 episodes of LITA in 3 days and have much thoughts/comments to share

this post is technically for @skamskada (coz you would just NOT stop sending me pics of payu person in my DMs [♥️] and that's what made me finally watch the show....and...this would be too long for our chats lol) but all y'all can give it a try too! <3

the payu-rain arc opening credit song is really good actually... i....quite like it

payu person's voice is so soft and nice and sweet!!!!

YOU DID NOT WARN ME ABOUT THE CRINGEFEST THAT IS PAYU SINGING TO RAIN IN THE KITCHEN!!! i fast forwarded that section....i just couldn't sit through it good god....come to think of it, i skipped zee singing in cutie pie the series too...i just couldn't take it lol..second hand embarrassment is too strong... (i love when nunew sang in the series...also..it made sense in the plot..and he has an angelic voice...umm...same with nanon in bad buddy...i didn't cringe at his singing...and ofc jeff and barcode were also fine in kp....all these guys are singers irl anyway and them singing fit the plot of their respective series....but i don't think i'd be able to handle anyone else singing in bl series) payu person sings well though! maybe if he has uploaded some covers etc on youtube i could listen to those??!! does he sing sing?

what was the whole kidnapping plot?? i was laughing at it a bit lol

also...unpopular opinion maybe but i feel payu person needs some more acting practice when it comes to emotions like anger or frustration, etc. he...seemed to struggle to convey it convincingly with his eyes and dialogue delivery and body language...but this is a personal opinion

rain person acts well! he's got all emotions pat down...and he portrays cuteness and annoyingness very convincingly

i LOVE the storyline....the actors are BRILLIANT and they look so good together????!!!! i enjoy their chemistry

sky person acts SO well....whenever he's triggered i can't stop myself from crying i feel A LOT for him :(((( and i LOVE it when he's not giving any fucks to Pai lol! and when he turns it on OMG IT IS MOTHERFUCKING ON

i love sky person's eyes <3 they are.....such a pretty colour...esp when the sunlight hits them in the scene where pai-sky are by the side of the road after they've had breakfast (me being struck by sky person's eye colour reminded me of me being struck by brian kinney's [or gale harold actually lol] eyes in the light...and ....it intrigued me so much! i also ABSOLUTELY love misha's and jensen's respective eye colours and cillian murphy's eyes too uuuufff AND luca marinelli's eyes...wowoowowwow)

the sex scenes were AWESOME!!! the moans, the dialogue, the looks, the MOVEMENTS, brilliant brilliant brilliant! very very special shoutout to 2 lines: a) payu saying "i'll make you the best rider" in episode 6 sex scene and b) sky saying "p'pai hurry up" in episode 11 sex scene....THE WAY THESE DIALOGUES WERE DELIVERED AND THE NEEEEEEDDDDD DRIPPING FROM EVERY SYLLABLE UUUUFFFFF (i have gone back and listened to these 2 lines in particular many many times...they just do it for me)

ngl i'm very invested in the pai-sky storyline but if a short scene of payu-rain comes in the episode i'm suddenly hit by how much i miss seeing them!

i really like the actor who plays Sig...he generally plays comic relief characters? he was in cutie pie too...I REALLY LIKE HIM....it seems he improvises a lot and is very competent at it...he can pick up on the energy of the scene and the dynamics of the characters and fits himself into it SO WELL (and sometimes also takes the lead in navigating a scene...like the thread tying ceremony) not intrusive but also leaves a lasting impression....also..his face is nice :) if i'm not wrong i think he's starring in an upcoming sci-fi bl as a lead! good for him...well deserved <3

i like the siblings....payu's brother saifah and pai's younger siblings too...they're sweet

the sound editing of the series is....so bad! omg i can hear every movement of the shirt and sometimes the voices get low and sometimes loud like what is happening oh no..it's annoying :(

as an armpit enthusiast (among others) i'm also very disappointed by the lack of armpit exposure...i have found only 3 scenes with decent full armpit exposure...i'm hoping this will get rectified in the remaining episodes (how many are there in total anyway? 14?)

i haven't watched any reality content of the LITA boys but you've told me time and again that payu person is really cute.....<333

i'll maybe slowly make my way through all that stuff...i think i'll enjoy watching all of them

Shinichiro Sano

The clanking of the tools can be heard across the shop as Shinichiro struggles to take a good look at himself at one of the side mirrors of the bikes displayed.

“Just what the fuck are you doing?” Wakasa asked. His lazy eyes glimmering with a hint of interest.

“Gotta look good for Y/N.” Shinichiro brushed the top of his hair and dusted off his crinkled white shirt. “Quick, they're coming! How do I look?”

“I mean…. Not quite decent, but tolerable.” Wakasa shrugged. His eyes shifted to your familiar figure approaching the shop.

“Look, Shinichiro. I still don’t understand why you still like someone even after rejecting you for what, 17? No, 20 times?”

Shinichiro’s feet were quick to move at the door entrance to welcome you, “You’ll understand when you get there.”

You entered the doors of the familiar bike shop of Sano's. Your eyes immediately land on Shinichiro.

“Shinichiro-san, is the bike fixed yet?” you asked. In hopes that the delivery bike for your coffee shop has been done.

Shinichiro scratched the back of his head, “I’m sorry Y/N-chan. But it looks like I still have to be the one to do the deliveries.” He smiled. “This might still take a week or two.”

Wakasa rolled his eyes at Shinichiro’s lame excuse. While you can only look at the man with a feeling of guilt and embarrassment.

These past few weeks, Shinichiro has been the one to deliver all the orders from your cafe after he volunteered when you brought the broken delivery bike in his shop. Although you argued with the man that you can rent one of his bikes and have your staff do it, Shinichiro insisted.

“Look, Shinichiro-san.” You sighed. “I get that you’re concerned about my business, but you should be concerned about yours too! You’re a gang leader and you shouldn’t be doing stuff like this.”

Shinichiro was at loss for words. Not with what you’ve just said, but with the way you looked at him with concern and kindness. The way you look at him just truly takes his breath away.

“I can fix this in a day,” Wakasa butted in between you and the man’s stare off, “Just fucking date him Y/N, please.”

“W-what?” You look at Wakasa, then at Shinichiro, perplexed.

The poor man could only glare at his friend, while he smiled at you apologetically.

“It’s true, Y/N-san. I only kept the bike in the shop so I could hang around you.” Shinichiro explained, “S-so, I get it if you hate m-”

You laughed. The pleasant tune rang in Shinichiro’s ears while he and Wakasa looked at you surprised.

“You could’ve just asked.” You smiled, “I thought you would never.”

“B-but you said no multiple times?”

“I was honest with my reason when I said I need to focus on my studies first. But now that I’m successful with my business, it’s all good.” You smiled, “I’ve always liked you too, Shinichiro-san.”

Shinichiro covered his mouth with both of his hands, trying to suppress the feeling of shock and surprise as he looked back and forth between you and his friend.

“You’re welcome.” Wakasa mouthed, a smile forming on his lips.

Takeomi Akashi

“And here’s your Espresso.” You placed the hot cup of coffee on the wooden table, “Thank you very much for your patronage, Takeomi-san, and everyone.”

The Vice President of Black Dragon could only smile meekly at you. Shinichiro snickered in the background, while Wakasa and Benkei watched the enjoying scene unravel before them.

“You’re welcome.” Takeomi nodded as you left their table to make sure that your staff was attending to their tasks.

“The fuck was that Takeomi?” Shinichiro giggled. “Seriously, you come here every day and that’s all you do?”

“Shut up.” Takeomi sipped the coffee. Savoring the aroma and taste of the coffee you made for him.

Takeomi mentally agreed with his friends - it’s indeed the only thing he can do for now. Although he might seem like he’d pick up chicks easily, it was difficult when it comes to you.

You were charming and irresistible. As cliche as it may sound, one look from you was enough to make his day, and being with someone brilliant as you was enough to fill the void in his heart. But someone like him wouldn’t be a good match for you, especially with his delinquent life.

So, the best thing he could do for now was to visit your coffee shop almost every single day. Hell, he’s even considered a regular now for how frequently he visits your shop.

What made his heart swell though was how you were able to memorize his orders and favorites quickly. And that somehow tugged at his heartstrings that maybe, just maybe, he has a chance.

Takeomi’s trail of thoughts was interrupted with a pat on the back.

“Go get it, dude.” Shinichiro winked, leaving him at the table along with the rest of the gang.

“W-what?” Takeomi looked at his friends confusedly as they left him.

However, he was more anxious when he saw your familiar figure walking towards his table.

“So, Takeomi-san,” you said as you slid on the seat in front of him, “there’s a problem with your coffee?”

Takeomi sighed, cursing his friends mentally. “Oh uhm, not really.”

“Is that so?” You smiled, “I’ll get going then.”

Just when you were about to leave the table, you felt a hand clutch yours.

“No, Y/N-san, uhm, I was thinking that maybe you want some coffee?”

“Takeomi-san, I literally own a coffee shop.” You giggled.

“No! That’s not what I meant,” Takeomi raised his hands, “I meant, you know, there might be something brewing between us.”

The man closed his eyes, promising himself to ask Shinichiro to punch him later because what the fuck did he just say?

You laughed hysterically. The laughter attracted a few customers as it resonated within the shop.

“Man, I thought you’re better than this,” you smiled, “That was really bad, you know?”

Takeomi could only blush at your statement.

“But sure, I’ll go out with you” You winked. “Just no pick-up lines like that, okay?”

He smiled, the flush of embarrassment washed away and immediately replaced with a smile of victory.

“Sure.”

While Shinichiro, Benkei, and Wakasa fist-bumped each other as they watched from the outside.

Wakasa Imaushi

You wiped the drops of sweat from your forehead. Smiling contently with the reps you just did for your workout. However, your smile dropped when you felt a pair of eyes boring holes into your head.

Looking around, you only saw a couple of other people minding their own business. Deciding that you’re probably just imagining things, you continued your workout.

But a pair of white leopard eyes watched you like prey. Everyone in the gym can feel the intense gaze of Wakasa on you.

“So that’s your crush huh?” A voice interrupted Wakasa’s pleasure of watching you.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Benkei.” Wakasa rolled his eyes at the man who sat next to him.

“Dude, you’re literally watching their every move.” Benkei deadpanned. “It’s borderline creepy if you ask me.”

“Shut up.” Wakasa sighed.

Truthfully, Wakasa has taken a liking to you for quite some time. Although there was a lack of conversation between the two of you, he appreciated how you smiled at him and almost everyone who passed by your flower shop from across the street. He’s not sure whether you knew who he was, but with his terrorizing looks, you sure have the guts to smile at someone like him. Whether he passes by with bloodstains on his clothes, you always somehow manage to give him that sweet smile.

And oh, it was beautiful.

His eyes immediately shifted to you. Seeing that you’re struggling from adjusting the power rack, Wakasa was fast enough to assist you.

“Oh hi. Do you need something?” You smiled at the familiar man standing in front of you, trying to hide your surprise.

“Maybe.” he shrugged, “But let me fix that for you, princess.”

Feeling quite conscious of how he called you and the way he looked at you, you turned to look in the other direction.

“Hmm?” he questioned. “Am I making you uncomfortable?”

You looked at the gorgeous man in front of you with surprise. “Oh no. It’s just that, Y/N’s my name. Not Princess.”

Wakasa bore his eyes to you, making you feel even more conscious. “Huh, funny because you look like one to me.”

To Wakasa’s surprise, you suddenly giggled. Although the red tint on your cheeks was evident.

“That’s really cliche.” You said in between your fits of giggles, “But I’ll give it a 7 since that was smooth.”

“7 huh. That’s kind of low don’t you think?”

“Oh, and what do you suggest?” You smiled, playing along with the man.

“How about I take you out at 7 tonight?” Wakasa smirked, “Then maybe you can rate my lines ‘til I get to 10?”

Once again, you smiled at him, the smile that made him attracted to you. And boy was he ready to go for the mile just so you can smile at him like that again.

“Sounds like a plan.”

Keizo Arashi (Benkei)

You’re not the type of person who judges their customers. But somehow, it was quite peculiar that a certain notorious member of the Black Dragons was your regular customer. Almost every day, the tall and handsome, yet mysterious man would come by and buy a bouquet from you.

It wasn’t really weird to come across members of the Black Dragons, considering that your shop was located within their turf. So you were quite familiar with the faces of their leaders. Especially with that particular customer.

And speaking of the devil.

“Welcome, sir!” You bowed. Welcoming the tall man who entered the shop.

“I’ll take…” Benkei looked around, his eyes landing on whatever flower he saw, “this one.”

“Oh, great choice!” You beamed, “Other than being beautiful, Tulips also characterize the perfect love you have for someone…”

Although you were explaining God knows what, Benkei could only look at your excited expression -the way your lips move to the words that you slip out and the way your eyes crinkled with your joyous expression.

Although he doesn’t really seem to listen, he likes it when you ramble out everything about the things that he likes. After all, the reason why he buys all of these flowers was just to savor every moment with you.

At first, it was nothing special. He’d just pass by your shop that was a few blocks from him. But when he saw your concerned look for him when he passed by once with an open wound in his forehead, he knew that you were something.

He’s a monster; someone whose only knowledge is to brawl on the streets. Yet you’re here in front of him talking about some flowers like he’s someone who wouldn’t bring any harm to you.

“Sir, may I ask something?” A hint of curiosity painted on your face as you chipped in on his thoughts.

“Benkei is fine.” He corrected. “And yes, go ahead.”

“Well, Benkei, I’m curious as to why you buy my flowers every day.” You smiled kindly, “Is it for your s/o?”

Benkei furrowed his brows at your question. “Don’t you like it when I buy your stuff?”

You blushed when you realized that you might seem nosy for the man, “Oh no! It’s not that. I’m thankful for your patronage. But I was just curious.” You bowed your head, “Sorry if I was intruding too much.”

Now, it was the tall man’s turn to be shy when you bowed to him, “No. But I buy your flowers because…” Benkei looked away, trying to hide the subtle flush in his cheeks, “I like you.”

“What?” You looked at him confused.

“I like you, so...I buy your flowers?” Benkei explained almost questioningly.

“So...you want me to realize that you like me by buying my flowers?” You looked at him, perplexed. Trying to fight the urge to smile that was forming in your lips.

“Yeah...that was the plan.”

“Well…” you smirked, “you’re one interesting man, Benkei.”

Episode 4 Thoughts:

oooh miss delilah is pressed about her book

Delilah’s graveyard scene was INSANE

my poor pikey,,, even her light cantrips won’t work

Pike’s scene trying to connect to the Everlight but only finding empty darkness legitimately made me tear up

The pike/grog scene… my heart….

I think the split up of character was very intelligent - playing on close character pairings (pike/grog, Percy/keyleth, vex/vax, and then instead of putting scanlan where he’d usually go with grog and pike, which frees up grog from goofing off so he can have his emotional moment with pike)

the gore was a little much at points but I did find the monster sufficiently scary

A monster grabbed grog through the boobs????

The darkness monsters defeated by light thing was a bit cliche but worked really well narratively with both keyleth and pike’s story beats and with the d&d concept of vulnerabilities

honestly, i found this batch of episodes had a lot more hitters in terms of jokes that worked. there were still quite a few swings and misses, but there were a lot more jokes that i genuinely laughed at in this batch than in the first few episodes. and the plot? WOOF!

i can understand why people were worried about this diverting attention from CR main because i dont know how im going to think about anything BUT this for the next ten hours

christ i was vibing too hard with the intro and got jolted by the whole “cass and percy” situation WHOOPS.

yay healing magic but also ohgOD are you putting dirt DIRECTLY INTO AN OPEN WOUND???? THAT SEEMS EXTREMELY- (I am dragged offstage by the collar)

anders, sir, i think percy might be a little too angry to appreciate your monologuing. classic miscalulation, you should’ve gotten at least half your monologue in BEFORE playing your big cards.

overall:

- i really, really enjoyed this ep, actually! Not sure what it is but so far I’ve very much been enjoying the second ep in each of the releases lmao.

- a lot more medical and biological questions coming out of this ep than i was expecting, but that’s how it goes sometimes i guess.

- I think in general the little character interactions and quips in action/battle are some of my favorites- they always feel very right and are always so telling in multiple ways :’D like Vex being mean to Keyleth but trusting her in combat, speaks VOLUMES. Grog raging being about rage, but also about his friends. Who ducks and hides, who backs up who- augh. lovely.

- Cass. <3 like, I know, there’s still Some Things that’ll happen, but damn shes BEEN thru it okay.

- Pike’s scene with the Everlight- so, so, so, good. In dialogue, in VA, the bit with the VM silhouettes- very nice.

- Percy got a ricocheting bullet shot and some VERY cathartic murder and we love that for him and also his smoke demon. but mostly for him.

Single-Parent!Headcanons

Characters: Kirishima Eijirou, Kaminari Denki, and Bakugo Katsuki

A/N: Inspired by y’all. Enjoy <3

Warnings: fluff overload? one tiny curse word

Kirishima Eijirou:

the day his son was born was both the worst and best day of his life

his wife died upon delivery and he almost fainted when he heard the news, bakugo caught him before he could hit the floor

it took him 24 hours before he could gather the courage to go to the nursery and see his baby. he thought he wouldn’t be able to stomach the reminder of losing the love of his life

but when he held the small boy, who instantly nuzzled into his father’s chest, sighing with relief, kirishima was hooked for life

he just continued to hold his son into his chest and cry until he couldn’t anymore

from that day on, he swore he’d be the best parent he could be for his wife and his child’s sake

bc kiri is such a youthful and loving person, taking care of his son was easy, fun, and rewarding

ofc there were hard days, but it was all worth it when his baby would wake up with an adorable laugh, smiling up at him like he was his entire world

they’re two peas in a pod

he and his son are just the cutest pair

he takes his son everywhere, strapping him on his chest with a baby carrier

you bet your ass he’s taken him on (a safe) patrol around the block

kirishima is the kind of dad that puts his kid in a laundry basket, sits them in front of the tv, and acts out rollercoaster sounds

he lives for that loud laugh of his son’s

blows raspberries into the kid’s stomach whenever he starts getting cranky

his son’s first word was “manly” and kirishima spent the entire day bothering the bakusquad about it

everyone has 12 different copies of the video—y’know...just in case

when he takes his first steps, kiri’s swinging him around the house and giving him so many kisses on his chubby cheeks

when he saw his son had one spiky tooth growing in, he almost drowned from the cuteness

the kid gets himself into a lot of trouble tho. he’s always crawling towards the edge of something and putting his hand in things that could totally cut it off. kiri has a heart attack at least once a week

calls him, “son” “bud” and “buddy”

I hc that even though he’s lively around his dad, his son is very shy with new people and in new environments so school is kind of tough for him

but kirishima is always understanding of his troubles and tries his best to let him know that as long as he’s his son, he’ll always be his biggest supporter

if that doesn’t work, they go buy their fav meats and have a random bbq (kirishima just looks like the bbq dad™️ lmao). that always seems to do the trick

when his son enrolls in U.A., he’s there with a banner, his fav meat, and a bunch of tears when he sends him off

his son wears their matching crocs only to cheer up his dad. nothing else

aka he lowkey likes them but you didn’t hear that from me!

kirishima always has the urge to ft his kid, like, every hour. but he won’t bc he knows he’s busy training to be a hero

but he does send him uplifting snapchat videos from time to time

his son still wonders how in the world his dad even knows about snapchat

he makes sure nobody knows about this

when his son calls him about his insecurities, comparing himself to his classmates, kirishima is right there to lift him up. he also dealed with those same issues and tells his son that even on his worst days, he’s strong for just facing the day and he needs to believe in himself before others can believe in him

the next day, the bakusquad is watching the tournament together

kirishima has manly tears in his eyes as his little boy places second place in the sports festival

bakugo is threatening to kill him if he ruins his shirt

Kaminari Denki:

denki becomes a dad from adopting a pair of four year old twins (one boy, one girl) that were left homeless and without parents after a villain attack

he kinda knew the parents from hero work and felt it was an obligation to at least make sure their children were okay

he wasn’t planning on necessarily adopting them. he was young and inexperienced with children. how could someone like him raise a kid when he could barely raise himself?

but after two visits to the orphanage and seeing how miserable they looked, he couldn’t leave the building without signing the papers

the transition was awkward. the twins were not only traumatized, but distrusting and scared. they didn’t really know kaminari and now he was suddenly their adoptive parent

kaminari tried everything from ice cream, to late night movie snacks, to hide n seek to get them to relax but it wouldn’t work

he almost gave up hope, and thought maybe it was a better idea to take them back to the orphanage. but that was before the night he woke up to them crawling into his bed, scared from the thunder storm that rumbled on outside

kaminari froze, scared that he’d frighten them away with any sudden movement, but he soon relaxed and hugged them close to his chest when they snuggled into his sides. he sleeps with a peaceful mind that night

although, he’s awoken to them bawling their eyes out over the nightmares they had. he panics but takes comfort in how they still grip to his shirt, face in his chest, seeking his comfort

therapy becomes a regular thing after that

kaminari finds more focus in his life

and as those helpful sessions go on, kaminari finds the twins beginning to open up more and more

they all sleep together now bc cuddle piles always scare the bad dreams away

the boy starts asking for kaminari to help him pick out his outfits

and the girl starts asking him about his quirk

it’s small things like that that lead up to things like this:

they’re in the midst of playing tickle monster when they scream with laughter, “stop! stop, daddy, you caught us!”

the twins stare at him in confusion (and slight worry) when he scoops them up and cries like he broke his leg or something

they got two huge scoops of ice cream that night so they don’t question it

dad jokes are a must

he wears typical dad outfits like hawaiian shirts, cargo shorts, and flip flops

he calls them his “little rockstars” and yes, it’s still embarrassing

kaminari is a playful dad who doesn’t really take things too seriously

his children are always laughing at his dumb jokes and are never afraid to talk to him about anything that crosses their minds

although, they won’t talk to him about love interests bc he likes to play match maker

the last time his daughter told him about some girl she was crushing on, she found out she left her a personally signed chargebolt poster for the girl in her name

kaminari called it a little boost in spirit

her brother found it funny

she was horrified

kaminari swears up and down he’s the cool dad. his kids think otherwise, but their friends LOVE how much of a jokester he is. and he lets them stay up at sleepovers

plus, he’s literally chargebolt

how could they not love him?

denki has a little trouble being serious when he needs to be, but he has good kids so it’s not that much of a problem

there was that one time his son tried to help him during a villain attack. even though kaminari ordered him to get to safety, he didn’t and ended up getting hurt

the twins had never seen their father so angry. it was kind of scary. however, in the next moment, he gathered them up in a big hug and made them swear not to scare him like that again

overall, kaminari is the sweet, fun loving, dad that everyone wishes they had

Bakugo Katsuki:

katsuki became a father the day he found a baby and a note at his doorstep

the note read: “surprise! you’re a dad. i gave you all the legal rights, but you can place her up for adoption if you want.”

least to say, bakugo was pissed

he was even more pissed at himself for getting someone so cold and unloving pregnant

however, he decides to put the baby up for adoption. he cant take care of a baby! he’s at the height of his career. he can basically taste the number one hero spot on his tongue

he’s dead set w the decision, but as he stands outside of the orphanage, he freezes. he just can’t move

bakugo looks down at his daughter as she opens her eyes for the first time. he sees an identical pair of red eyes that make his chest tight with a feeling he hasn’t experienced in a long time

he turns back around and heads back home. it’s easily the best decision he’s ever made in his life

ngl though, growing into the dad role for bakugo was tough

before the girl, he only ever had to think of himself. he was still used to doing everything on his own time and for his own benefit. so being forced to put 100% of his attention to a small helpless human being was not easy

katsuki admits that the first couple of years weren’t his proudest. he was still short tempered, angry with the world, and frustrated bc he felt like his life was ruined

one time, the frustration and sleep deprivation would hit him all at once and he’d just start going off at the baby to just “shut the hell up!” before breaking down and crying with her

it was a dark moment for him, and yet, even after that, his little girl still curled up in his arms to rest when the tears tired her out

it had been a while since he felt unconditional love like that, and so he decided to change for the baby’s sake

you cant tell me that little girl isn’t spoiled rotten

bakugo is a hardass, but he’s all bark no bite. no matter what, he just can’t resist his little girl’s puppy dog eyes

he’s a girl dad to the t

yes he played the princess that needed saving from the big bad dragon. what about it?

his daughter is a firecracker. she started sassing him as soon as she could gargle

he pretends he hates it but his daughter is lowkey funny asl

they go at it when they fight. bakugo’s learned to be a little more patient, but he still has a bit of a temper and it doesn’t mix well when his mini-me has the same explosive anger

is the kind of dad that says sorry by asking her what she wants for dinner

they totally talk mess about other heroes together. he ignores the fact that she admires deku as long as she keeps it to herself

emotional talks are...awkward, but he forces himself through it

she finds it embarrassing (yet oddly endearing) that he got kicked out of a PTA club meeting for threatening to light up some mom for saying the art program didn’t matter

his daughter absolutely won’t talk to him about potential love interests unless she wants them coming up missing

bakugo won’t admit to watching baby videos of his daughter when he sends her off to U.A. and no, he didn’t cry, he got dust in his eye

doesn’t bother her too much, but jumps for his phone when he hears her ringtone

kirishima says he getting soft, but that’s just his little princess
