Podcast Rec Masterpost
I've been asked a couple times for podcast recommendations so I thought I'd post a compilation of some shows and a bit of info about them. Most shows I talk about are tagged below (I ran out of tags) so you can look through fan content as well if you're not one to care about spoilers. My asks are still open for personalized recs if you send me some others that you've listened to just because I love you, yes that's right! You. The person reading this right now!
Here goes!
Dungeons And Daddies *not a BDSM podcast
This show is a dnd actual play podcast. The first season is about four dads from our world lost in the Forgotten Realms in search of their lost sons. It’s a comedy but as with all comedies, you will cry by the end of it. It's super easy to get into with great chemistry between all the cast players and the dm, no prior knowledge of dnd is necessary. They do invoke slight horror sometimes so do keep an eye out for content warnings. Season 1 has 68.5 episodes along with bonus content and a mini campaign in between seasons 1 and 2. Season 2 is currently ongoing. Transcripts available.
The Bright Sessions
This is a science fiction podcast. The premise is a collection of clinical recordings of superpowered people's therapy sessions. The plot gets more interesting and convoluted as you get further in. Incredible voice acting filled with emotion. Does have some heavier discussions so be on the lookout for content warnings. It has 7 seasons (the last two are technically not part of the first five seasons' plot) and is completed. Transcripts available.
Hello From the Hallowoods
A post-apocalyptic fiction podcast. A beautifully written and preformed podcast that explores identity, religion, and other themes in vignettes throughout this haunted world narrated by an omniscient being. Some heavier topics are included so check the content warning before each episode. Seasons 1 and 2 are completed and season 3 will be done soon. Transcripts available.
The Magnus Archives
A horror fiction podcast. A well written chronological story told through anthology which seem to be tape recordings from a paranormal investigation institute. Incredible writing and actors that really bring it to life. This is horror so make sure to check the content warnings. The show is completed at 5 seasons. Transcripts available.
Neighbourly
Another horror fiction podcast! An interesting look into all the houses on Little Street and their peculiarities. Some more peculiar than others. The podcast is absolutely delightful with a horribly fun narrator. I would suggest checking the content warnings as some episodes are more intense than others. The show has 2 completed seasons. Transcripts available.
The Fall of the House of Sunshine
A musical mystery fiction podcast. The first season is about an investigation on the murder of a beloved host of a children's tooth-themed show. That's all I can say without spoilers. There are 3 incredible seasons along with short stories in between each season. Transcripts available until halfway through season 2.
Welcome to Nightvale
Possibly the most well known science fiction podcast, it really speaks for itself but I'll do my spiel anyways. Recorded as snippets of a daily radio broadcast, the show details the weird goings on in this strange desert town of Nightvale. Narrated almost completely by the radio host's smooth voice. It's ongoing and is currently sitting at 233 episodes. Transcripts available.
The Two Princes
A fictional queer romance podcast. It takes place in that special part of fiction that always starts with "once upon a time," it feels like a story book almost. The show is based around two boys meeting in the woods. Spoiler alert: they fall in love. It's just a cute feel good show. The podcast is complete at 3 seasons. Spotify auto-generated transcripts available.
What's the Frequency?
A self described psychedelic noir podcast. It's an absolute blast even if it is a bit hard to follow. Takes place in the 1940s in LA when all radio broadcasts were turned to static. You kind of just have to go with it until you get to the end. Completed at 12 episodes. Transcripts available.
Story Break
A writer's room podcast. The basic concept behind Story Break is 3 Hollywood writers in a room together take a prompt and try to make a story for it in an hour. There are many laughs in this podcast and just all around good humor and vibes. The show is complete at 169 episodes plus two full movie scripts. No transcript.
Who Killed Avril Lavigne
A science fiction podcast. It's about a time traveling pop punk loser and that's all you need to know. It's a podmusical so you'll be getting great nostalgic pop punk type songs along with crying from laughing so hard. Completed at 8 episodes. No transcript.
The Behemoth
A fiction podcast. Based around an unexplainable creature emerging from the ocean and how the world, and one girl in particular, deal with this phenomenon. It is pretty short with the longest episode being about 12 minutes. Completed at 20 episodes. No transcript.
Rude Tales of Magic
A dnd actual play podcast. It is mainly focused on the actual roleplay and story telling as opposed to the actual play. A handful of college students from Polaris University fuck the world up by completing a hazing ritual which in this case is a supposedly demon summoning. Obviously now they need to fix the world. Currently 64 episodes and ongoing. No transcript.
Midnight Burger
A very well written fiction podcast. It’s about a time/space traveling diner where the employees try to help solve a problem every place they land. Think Doctor Who adjacent vibes but with more drama. There is an overarching plot that comes together so look out for that. It has incredible characters that are really nicely fleshed out. You’ll somehow like and hate all of them as much as possible in the best way. Currently has 29 episodes of the main feed and a 9 episode mini-series. Transcript available.
Monstrous Agonies
A fiction podcast. It’s an radio advice segment on a station for “liminal Britain” aka the monstrous world to put it plainly. It’s really chill and comforting. There’s very good advice there and the intermittent ad reads will have you giggling to yourself. Episodes are on the shorter side, averaging about 15 minutes each. It does have some heavier discussions so make sure to check the content warnings. The show is completed at 111 episodes through 3 seasons. Transcripts available.
Desert Skies
A fiction podcast. The voice acting in this one is incredible, it’s the same person the whole time. The show as a whole is also just super well done. The premise is that when you die you show up on a highway and get to this astral pit stop. I’m not going to spoil it anymore you just have to experience it. There is an additional show, Desert Skies FM that's a buddy to this one. I recommend listening to both. Season 1 was completed at 12 episodes. Transcripts available.
Wooden Overcoats
A sitcom dramedy podcast. The show is about two siblings that run a funeral home on an island. It used to be the only one, it isn’t anymore. It has a wacky cast of characters and even wackier plot points. The dialogue can be a little hard to get used to at the beginning but once you get into it it flows easily. The show is completed at 4 seasons. Transcripts available.
Greater Boston
An audio drama podcast. It's set in Boston if you couldn't tell from the title and starts with the death of a man on a rollercoaster. It blends real life with some subtle (and at times not-so-subtle) fantasy elements. It's currently at 4 completed seasons. Transcript available.
Gay Future
A science fiction podcast. In a world where everyone is gay in the future we focus on this one straight kid. Following his journey to destroy the government who are making everyone gay. This is a satire by the way. 1 season completed at 6 episodes. No transcripts.
Death by Dying
A dark comedy podcast. The show follows an obituary writer while he does things that are totally under the jurisdiction of his job. A well written and preformed show. There are a lot of laughs and obviously some heartbreaks as well. Currently 1 completed season with season 2 sitting at 2 episodes for a bit now. Transcript available.
Not Another D&D Podcast
An actual play dnd podcast. This one's more mainstream than my other podcasts so I don't talk about it as much but that doesn't mean it's not incredible. The first campaign is about 3 adventurers off to save the world. Obviously. It can be a bit slow in the beginning but anything past the second half of the first season is incredible. There's humor, drama, love, and much more. The DM is also just incredible. 1 completed season, a couple mini campaigns, and the second season is currently at 43 episodes. No transcripts.
Forgive Me!
A fiction podcast. It starts based around vignettes of confessionals in this small town taken by a new father in the local church. An overarching plot is present but it's generally a feel good, sweet and simple show. They have 2 complete seasons with season 3 currently at 9 episodes. Transcripts available.
Real Housewives of D&D
An actual play dnd podcast. This show is based around the concept of a "Real Housewives..." type show but you don't need to know anything about those to listen to this. It's about 4 reality TV stars thrown into a magical fantasy world with no knowledge of how to get home. There's drama, excitement, danger, and lots more. The first season was just completed at 16 episodes. Transcripts available.
The Silt Verses
A horror fiction podcast. Two people who worship a banned god travel together up a river in a pilgrimage. There is incredible worldbuilding in this show along with acting and sound design. This is horror and a very good one at that so make sure you check content warnings. Season 1 and 2 are completed and season 3 is at 2 episodes so far. Transcripts available.
The Land Whale Murders
A comedy fiction podcast. It takes place in the year 1899 and is about a pair of friends? maybe not, that metaphorically explore the world they're living in. It is a commentary on the world we live in and the problems in it through a hilarious and wacky cast. There are currently 17 episodes between both seasons 1 and 2. Transcripts available.
Elaine's Cooking for the Soul
A post-apocalyptic cooking podcast. The show is about a dentist who makes her way through the fallout of an apocalypse while also making a cooking podcast. It does have depictions of violence, war, and dentistry so check out the content warnings. There are 2 completed seasons. No transcripts.
Fawx and Stallion
A mystery podcast. If you hate Sherlock Holmes you'll love this podcast. Also if you love Sherlock Holmes you'll love this podcast. It's based around the detectives who live across the street from Holmes at 224B Baker street. It's pretty goofy. Season 1 is completed. Transcripts available.
The Amelia Project
A fiction podcast. Follow the shenanigans of this death-faking organization as they take in new clients and hear their stories. It does develop an actual overarching plot later on but every second is fun. Seasons 1-4 have been completed and season 5 is in progress. Transcripts available.
A Voice From Darkness
A horror podcast. It's centered around a radio show hosted by Dr. Malcolm Ryder, Parapsychologist. He helps people who call into his show with supernatural problems, gives PSAs and warnings about strange happenings, and more. Season 1 is completed and season 2 is at 9 episodes. Transcripts available.
Station Arcadia
A dystopian fiction podcast. Formatted through a radio show, it tells the story of a world that's slowly dying. There are vignettes of different characters through different areas of the world. Season 1 is completed at 25 episodes. Transcripts available.
Margaret's Garden
A science fiction podcast. It has two plots running at the same time which keeps you on your toes but makes for an intriguing story line. In one plot line, two agents are sent to investigate the strange happenings of a weird little long abandoned town. Simultaneously, we hear from the past of that town as it catches up to the agents. Completed at 10 episodes. Transcripts available.
Camp Here & There
A horror comedy podcast. It's recorded as a set of daily announcements over a loudspeaker at a totally normal summer camp. The announcements are made by the camp nurse and he's also totally normal. I promise. Make sure to check in with the content warnings as some topics are a little mature or graphic. There are currently 34 episodes. Transcripts available.
Wayward Guide for the Untrained Eye
A companion horror podcast. This is actually a bit meta because it is the result of a youtube series. This show is the one the podcast hosts in the series release, it's definitely worth both the watch and the listen though. It's got werewolves and drama. Completed at 10 episodes of video and 10 of the podcast. No transcripts.
I am in Eskew
A horror podcast. It's about a man who's trapped in a city where the buildings always change and the rain never stops. There's a weird monotonous creeping horror in this show that just draws you in. Check for content warnings definitely. Completed at 30 episodes. Transcripts available.
Traveling Light
A comfy cozy fiction podcast. It follows The Traveller on their exploration through space, visiting alien planets and collecting stories to send back to their community. For supporters of the show, it almost functions as a choose-your-own-adventure with choices to vote on and listener submissions. It's made by the same people as Monstrous Agonies so if you enjoyed that, you'd enjoy this and vice versa. There are currently 16 episodes. Transcripts available.

Summary: Whilst hiding from your ex in a new city you meet your rather strange neighbour. Now with a strange artifact bound to you, you must rely on his help as well as his flat mates?
Steven Grant x Reader, Marc Spector x Reader, eventual Jake Lockely too
Tag list: @blackholegladiator
Translations: Tonto del culo - Dumbass
The angry red mark stared back at you. The stinging pain returning as your glassy eyes met Steven's again. Concern was etched across his face, an internal conflict passing in subtle pulls of his brow.
He looked strange, taller somehow and dressed in an odd white costume. Wrapping bands around a golden shape on his chest. Strangest of all was the cape and for a moment you wondered if he was a performer.
"Idiots." A booming voice sounded. You spun from Steven's grip to the source of the voice. Squatting in your living room was another horror. Giant frame hunkered to fit in the space and wrapped in flowing bandages. Worst was the meters long bird skull that spun to face you.
You screamed.
Steven's gloved hand clamped over your mouth, his other holding you behind your neck as he shushed you. You struggled in his grip, tears flowing freely as your wide eyes quickly moved from the thing in your living room to him.
"It's okay, your okay. Let's just calm down. Okay? Deep breathes." He spoke quietly though there was a tinge of panic in his voice. Only it wasn't his voice though. His accent was gone, replaced by that American twang you'd heard once before. You nodded gently, mirroring his breaths as his grip left your head.
"There you go..." He smiled before the frying pan you'd grabbed made contact with his temple. Steven caught himself on your counter as you darted towards the door. You stumbled, falling back as the bird skull stomped into your path. Scrambling back you scuttled into your living room.
"Y/n! Please, please just calm down a second!" Steven called as he approached again. Panic was still flooding your system and you hurled a book from your coffee table at him. He dodged, pinching his nose as the bird creature seemed to laugh at him.
"Steven could you..." He began. You watched with another book in your grip as he shook. Suddenly without anything concrete changing you were looking at Steven again. Your neighbours soft eyes, concern more exaggerated in his expression. Posture shifting inwards as his hands raised in surrender.
"Cheers mate. Hey Y/n!" He whispered softly, accent returned.
You froze as he moved, almost stumbling over your cat as she strode past. Your eyes darted to the monster still hunched in front of your door before snapping back to Steven approaching.
"Your alright yeah?" He almost cooed, his hands hovering in the space between you two. "Just a lot ain't it?"
You kept staring wide eyed between him and the giant bird skeleton. Some how believing if you just stayed quiet and still that they'd evaporate and you'd wake up. Both remained firm in your space as your cat let out a friendly meow. The skull head shifted and nodded down at the cat before she wandered back towards you.
"See? Ol' Khonshu ain't nothing to be afraid of. Come on let's sit a moment." Steven continued. He moved slowly into the space as your cat brushed against your legs.
"There isn't time for this worm!" Khonshu boomed causing you to flinch again.
"Oh piss off you!" Steven barked shooting him a scowl as he took a seat on your sofa. You lowered yourself slowly into the arm chair opposite. Eyes still glued to the floating head above Khonshu's shoulders. He grumbled but in a second the space he'd been in was empty.
It took a while for Steven to calm you down and when his suit dissolved away he set you off again. His eyes kept casting down to the glass table between you both. He'd scrunch or tut before his eyes found there way back to you.
"What are you looking at?" You asked.
"Hmm? Oh it's... oh this is going to sound quiet strange..." He fumbled.
"You did that before, at my work and again in your flat." You pressed.
"It's...well Marc's there." He said.
"Marc's in my coffee table?" You asked.
"Well yeah but hmm maybe Marc's better at explaining these things..." Steven mumbled before his back straightened.
"We share this body, we're the avatar of Khonshu." The second Steven, Marc said. He shifted his eyes a second, shoulders slouching again. "Bloody hell! Don't sugar coat it!" Steven cursed.
"Khonshu, the big dead bird?" You ask, mind feeling a little numb by this point.
"God I hope he heard that!" He laughed before Marc seemed to take his place again. "Yeah, look it's not safe to stay here. You've bound yourself so we're gonna have to move the timeline up a lot."
"Wait bound!?" You squeaked. The wound still itched on your palm and you stared down at the eye.
"I'm sorry Y/n but your involved now. That mark binds you to Wadjet, protector of Ra, if we don't get you to... What are you doing?" Marc paused his speech. You rose, walking past the sofa towards your bed.
"This is a horrible nightmare, I'm going to go wake up now." You mumbled more to yourself than either of them.
"Y/n wait! We don't have time for..." Marc's voice faded behind you and a strong grip took your arm. You spun tugging your arm but it remained in his bruising grip.
His face was sterner than before, bordering on a scowl as he tugged you along with him. You tried to protest but he seemed to be pointedly ignoring you now. So you opened your mouth to scream.
He surged against you, hand firm over your mouth and behind your head again. Though it was more painful than before and he had furious look to him now as he hovered an inch from your face. This wasn't Steven or Marc.
"Tonto del culo, they are trying to help you! So just shut up and move!" He snapped at you. He was American like Marc but it sounded different. You were about to dig your heels in when his head snapped to your window.
You heard it too, several cars pulling up outside. Your window was ajar and you could hear people getting out and moving towards the building. Something about that terrified you and you met this other Steven's eyes.
He understood you weren't going to scream now and let you go. Well his hand left your mouth. His other hand was still firm on the back of your neck and he used that to push you with him. You were directed towards your front door when you started to object.
"Wait my cat!" You whined but he was cursing and shoving you.
"They don't care about your stupid cat." He bit and you relented to his shove. At least he closed your door behind him though before he ushered you down the hall. He didn't turn back into Steven's flat though, instead pushing you aside a moment.
In front of one of the vacant flats he paused, flipping up the door mat and revealing a single key. He entered the flat, before turning back and grabbing you. He pulled you in when you heard the lift move, they were coming.
He locked the door before grumbling across the room. You took a second to look around the space. It was bare, no hint at a person lived here bar a bag he grabbed from the living room.
He turned a hard stare back across the room at you making you jump. You rushed over to him facing the door when you heard the loud ping of the lift in the hall. You spun back to him when you felt something land on your shoulders.
He'd placed a long coat over your shoulders and was now opening the window. You shoved your arms through as you suddenly remembered you were still only in your pjs.
"Bueno, paths clear." He said as he pulled his head back into the flat. He scowled at you again before he continued. "When we get outside, you are silent. You follow me and stay close." He commanded.
Behind you heard a smash, the door to Steven's coming off its hinges, and you jumped. The firm grip on the back of your neck returned and he was pushing you through the window. You didn't protest, taking his direction and climbing out and down the fire escape.
Once you'd passed low enough Jake followed out above you. Your slippers weren't exactly the kind of shoe you'd have chosen to climb down the ladder in. They were slipping against the metal and it made you cringe.
Another scowl was aimed down at you but there wasn't much you could do about that. You turned you attention to the ground coming closer bellow. Ignoring the way you could feel his glare burning holes in your head. You really missed Steven right now. Hell you'd take Marc.
You manged to reach the bottom, the other man sharing their body jumping down next to you. You paused there a moment waiting for his next move. This move was taking a flat cap out the bag and slipping it on over his curls. Then he took your hand in his.
You moved to pull from his touch but his grip was firm and his cold eyes made you still. You let him keep your hand, shuffling after his long strides around the building and trying to keep your breathing from rising.
The cars were in sight now. 3 big dark windowed vans. There was a man stood by the doors the to your building now too. He was trying very hard to look causal but his constant vigilance gave him away. You turned your eyes from him when he glanced to you but you could see him straightening up in your peripheral.
"Keep pace. The taxi on the corner is mine. Just a couple more feet." Scowling Steven whispered. You nodded but you heard the man shout across the street at you. He was jogging over when your companion broke from you. You staggered back on the pavement as his fist connected with the man's nose.
"TAXI NOW!" He yelled as the first gun shot rang out. You were barely moving when his body was against you, pulling you close. Shielding you as he returned fire and ran.
You stumbled with him, letting him shove you into the car when he got there. You ducked low in your seat as he rounded to the drivers side. Turning back to the building you watched armed men rush out.
You screamed when the automatic weapons turned on the car. Your companion now swearing vividly as he started the car.
"If you didn't mean so much to..." He grumbled before shoving the gun at you. You shrieked fumbling as he held it against your chest. "Point and shoot." He commanded as the window by you lowered.
"What!?" You shrieked. He let out a volley of curses as he sped off. One hand steering he grabbed your hands on the gun pulling you to point the gun out the window.
"Point." He said, spinning the wheel with his other. Ahead a van raced towards you but the taxi drifted from its path. Zipping down another street you were now pushed half out the window. His hand gripping you by the coat as you leaned out. Another van was closing in behind you, a man leaning out its window.
"And Shoot!" Your companion called and you fired. The kickback was worse than you'd anticipated in the seconds you had. Still you held firm, both hands gripping the gun to you as you recovered.
There was a bullet hole in the van behind you now. On the front wind shield, drivers side. You heard a cheer from your right as the van swerved and crashed against some parked cars. Scowling Steven pulled you back firmly into your seat but he was grinning wildly now.
He gripped your shoulder, jostling you before he took the gun from your white knuckled grip. He put it in his lap before leaning across you and tugging the belt down past your hyperventilating face.
"Seat belts."

A Descriptive List of Celtic Fiction Podcasts
Reminiscent of fiction podcasts like TMA, Jack of All Trades etc... If you enjoy anything horror-comedy, general horror or narrative podcasts check these out!
note: Thank you for the reccommendations! I've added them to the list.
Scottish
Middle:Below by Tin Can Audio - A horror-comedy about a fella called Taylor, he can travel inbetween the regular world and the 'middle' realm, and seems to be the only one...until!! He has banter with a charismatic ghost man called Gill and has a pet cat named Sans(?). Good sound quality and fun times.
The McIlwraith Statements by Ghostly Thistle - A monologue narrative about Sarah McIlwraith, recounting her mysterious involvement in the famous 'IPP' study. Dark academia vibes. The narrator has an absolutely lovely voice and accent!
Caledonian Gothic - Descriptive like HFTH, storytelling but the serious tone borderlines silly. If you like I Have Seen Niagara, you might like this! States it's true crime, true stories, but also promises magic and narratives aswell.
Irish
Neighbourly by Matthew O.K Smith - A horror anthology podcast about a creepy neighbourhood and the residents within. Stunnin' narration, with really good stories. I got pretty far in and it uploads every Monday. Great stuff.
The Switchboard by Hog and Dice Productions - A 'daily radio show' horror podcast set in a LIGHTHOUSE. HELL YEAH. It's got some funky sound design and some good stories. Both this and Neighbourly have lovely Dublin accents, and nice stories as usual.
Petrified by Peter Dunne and Liam Geraghty - An award-winning horror anthology podcast with very captivating and realistic dialogue. Unsettling and uneasy feeling it gives me. Main guy Teddy from the 'Dead Air' prologue is defo northern! I want to emphasize the realistic dialogue, it's great. Haven't heard him yet, but this podcast also has CECIL BALDWIN acting in it. Give it a shot!
In Darkness Vast by Hammergrin - A sci-fi podcast with some characters with funky names like Doombuggy, Earthfrank and Nervejump. Wolf 395 vibes, Nervejump is a silly AI lady up to shenanigans. Has some fun voices and sound design. Don't know much about it but it's made in Cork!
The Outside Tapes by Liam Brett and Evan Daly - Classic casette tape horror drama. Alfie Greaves is a journalist investigating a bizarre series of events that are all somehow connected. I love Alfie's voice because he has the same accent and inflection as me so it's very lovely to listen to! He is investigating deaths, so it seems to be a nice mix of Magnus Archives and Death by Dying.
Welsh
Seren by Robin Howell - A short sci-fi about Seren flying through the stars to terraform a new planet. Going by the trailer, it sounds great! Some Cymraeg right off the bat. Great stuff. Gives off some melancholy vibes, and has a funky spaceship AI voice.
Gather the Suspects by MadeUp Audio Productions - A groovy-opening theme mixed with a promising murder mystery. Set in Wales "during a very boring apocalypse". Promises relatable characters, procrastinators, mystery and humour.
This Foul Earth by John Tucker - A comedic, easygoing series (from what ive heard so far) in which everyday Welsh people describe a story they believe deserves to be archived for future generations. Clever writing and good vibes!
as always if youse have anything to add rb and pop it in the tags, these are all very underrated and theyre all quite good and high quality! have a good evening yall

Man
I don't know WHY
But I'm sure the Presenter from MA and the Narrator from Neighbourly are related.
Cousins. Dimensional counterparts. Twins separated by birth and universe.
But
They
Are
Related.
(and hate each other ofc)
"Cousins" is the best kind of relation imo, it sums up so many things. Did they grow up together? Do they barely know each other? Do they seek each other out at family gatherings as the only one who really 'gets' their whole deal, despite the fact they literally never so much as acknowledge the other's existence at any other time? Who knows. But they for sure, 100%, without question, hate each other's guts.

Each episode of Neighbourly invites you behind one of the doors along Little Street to explore domesticity and suburbia through a variety of genres (but mostly horror). It's a single narrator show with a large and diverse writing team, exploring similar concepts from different perspectives. This show asks the question, "Does anyone ever really know their neighbours?" and I would say that it also provides an answer. The episodes are strange, eerie, and often quite scary! Transcripts here.

Have you heard of Neighbourly, y'know Nabley, that podcast about the houses
No?

Podcast Reviews and Recs
The night shift podcast
I am a simple girl. Give me an urban fantasy podcast with the interesting world-building and script and you'll get my heart on a platter. It's pretty short podcast (s1 is complete) with the queer cast and an engaging story in the world where magic that used to be is gone and only some people have traces of it. I loved the plot, the main character, the supporting cast, romantic pair, sound design and voices. My only pitfall is that I believe that pretending that the main character runs the real broadcast was ruining my suspension of disbelief. Some things that happened to him could fuck up all his plans if broadcasted and listened by the wrong people. Would work better if he was a blogger who researches conspiracy staff, and just records everything cos he is a paranoid wreck. However, overall it's pretty great so my advice is to give it a try. (Also the soundtrack for it is awesome) MC is a transman as far as I know, but it's not obvious.
Camp Here And There
This is one of those podcasts. It starts fun. Cute even. Short episodes, general creepy weridness reminding about wtnv, funny jokes. THEN IT STABS YOU. 7 TIMES. And makes you cry like a little bitch. The setting is a very weird summer camp with the main character being the nurse who has to deal with all this stuff as well as their mental, health and relationship problems. It is actually very good insight into the way love works and how many forms it can take and how difficult it is to express sometimes. Also writing is very beautiful. S1 is currently completed and I can't wait for a S2. (This one is also very queer. MC is a gay transman and their are also several sideships)
Malevolent
This one is a good horror podcast about a british private investigator who has lost his eyesight and got an eldritch buddy in his head. Yay! Somehow this entity is more rational and relatable one between the 2 of them. By the 20th episode you'll start saying "no, arthur" at the same time. Also, no romance and as an aro I do appreciate this - the platonic connection between you and the voice inside your head can be as valid as romantic one. What can be more intimate than sharing a body, right? Has many good classic elements from Lovecraftian (cosmic) horror so if it's your thing - give this podcast a try.
Neighbourly
I love you weird beautiful horror anthology podcasts with the same setting and some connections between episodes, but without action filled lengthy overarching plot. You're brilliant and you're doing great. This pocast tells you a story about people living in the weird little neighborhood and their secrets. Some stories are funny, some are heartwarming, some are creepy, and some are depressing. I find it more weird than scary, but it's exactly what I like about this one, so try it out if it's also your thing. Also I find the narrator voice very soothing. Stories do have lgbtq+ subtext if it's important for you.
Monstrous Agonies
I love you weird supernatural but at the same time uncanny relatable advice segment shows. This one is an advice segment for liminal folk (different types of paranomal creatures) but it is kinda a metaphor for all types of queer, aspec, pocs and neurodivergent people. This is a good comforting podcast so if you feel a bit lost and need some encouragement give it a try. It has some overarching plot, but it's not very big so if you have a short attention span - this one is perfect.
Finding Satan
The main character is an entitled brat and academia doesn't work like this for fuck's sake. Can't recommend this one, sorry.
