Screwed Up and Brilliant
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis: Negan is ready for you. Daryl isn’t; and maybe he’ll never be. Negan makes that clear to you tonight.
Details: Negan Smith x fem!reader, Daryl Dixon x fem!reader (mentioned), Negan is a bad guy but there is nuance— at least I hope I accomplished doing so, angst, guilt, forbidden love, probably super stereotypical, reader at the Sanctuary, moral dilemma reader (but you got to understand, they’re both so fine!!), I feel like I need more cws but I can’t think of them and of course, smut, 18+: consensual, unprotected, vague dacryphilia, soft? dom!Negan, lite daddy kink, fingerings, riding, and basically just Negan blowing your brains out… but not in the walker way— the good way, the way we like. Amen.
A/N: Could you believe I started writing this in October or something? This is my first time writing Negan and I’m scared I may not have gotten it right so definitely feel free to give notes! This is set during season 7/8, I’m picturing Negan at the end of 8 and later seasons but there’s something about him older that gives me heart eyes everywhere, but whatever you prefer makes me happy. Anyway, from my heart, and maybe somewhere a little lower, to yours; with love from writella. ♡
You’re screwed up and brilliant, look like a million-dollar man; so why is my heart broke?
—— LDR, Million Dollar Man
The space was clean; minimal. The kind that let out no secrets of the owner that inhabited its insides. And of course there were the little things that let out some slight details: the ashtray on the nightstand— a smoking habit; a ring, a metal chain, another of black rope— an unsuspected, albeit small, interest in jewelry; the bottom nightstand closed by a lock—mysterious and cautious, though that was to be expected. It was only reasonable he’d have something he wanted hide. But other than that, Negan’s bedroom was quite unreadable; almost purposefully mundane.
There was a fireplace, a window at the corner, and a bed at the center. It had a dark, brass, rusted headboard that leaned against the wall. Two pillows at either side. The sheets were white, and the large blanket was of fur, a tan or medium brown, it was thick and heavy. Probably unnecessary for the approaching spring heat, but it adored the bed end well; matching the other bronze, or brown, wooden and darker aspects of the room. Even the light from the small fire, though you could see clearly, made everything mildly dim— the Sanctuary wasn’t known for its brightness after all.
And truly, nothing in this bedroom, or in this fortress of a place could be described as anything close to bright. Unless you counted the sun outside in the courtyard, or the largest fireplace that blazed in the main hall, or Negan’s piercing, priceless smile— so pristinely white, so wide it almost looked painful to perform. There was an eeriness to it as well. That was at the forefront, and everyone saw it. With the way he maintained their cleanliness, it was something that could look so pure, so put-together on any other; but on him, its power could scare you into worthlessness. It’s the one he used when he told someone what to do even if they hated it; it’s the one he used when killing someone’s best friend.
It’s also the one he used on the first day he ever spoke to you. The first time that truly mattered, really.
It was during Negan’s first supply gathering at Alexandria.
You still remember it well.
Your faces filled with desolation, but chins held high; you were strong— good at hiding the pain, the fear— only straight, pokered eyes and mouths allowed as everyone silently agreed with you. You had told Negan that Maggie was dead.
The Widow, he had coined her. The wife of your good friend that he killed— so generous a man was Glenn, even when he wasn’t trying to be. And she’s your friend too, brave Maggie. That’s the one he wanted, but as far as he knew, she was gone.
Thank God, you thought, Thank God, yes, indeed, until—
Negan’s eyes glazed over your frame for just a moment too long.
You weren’t speaking anymore. You kept it short enough. He should have turned his attention back to Rick but he didn’t.
Where there was sly roguery in Negan’s eyes, anxiety weld in the looks of all others: Rick’s throat tensed and tightened uneasily, sweat trailing down his curls and onto his forehead; Rosita’s jaw clenched with bitterness, brows furrowing under her green khaki cap with anger; and then there was Gabriel: his eyes turned from solemnity and pretend peacefulness to wide bewilderment. The plan you two exchanged had worked: you would tell Negan of Maggie’s passing, as per your idea, and Gabriel would swiftly solidified your lie by saying he was the one who officiated the short funeral. But then, another problem arose; one where he could be nothing else but helpless in aiding you. What was he, or anyone to do? It was easy to help Maggie, she was more than twenty miles away. But you, you were here. Right in front of him.
“Wait a minute…” Negan’s pointer shakes lightly by his temple, his mind turning curiously. “You.” He said, shooting his finger in the direction of your chest.
His smile, mischievous as ever, only grew wider as a moment passed and he made his realization: “You’re the one with that- tight- grip!” He balled his raised hand into a fist as he said it. A slight snicker came after, proud of his entendre. “My men were tryna put Daryl in the trunk and you latched onto his foot like it was your dying- act- which—” you attempt to lessen the startle in your eyes at his upward hitch in tone, “—it most certainly could have been.”
Negan comes closer now, his face nearing your own, “But you know better now, right?”
Obviously, you did not.
Or you would have stayed home, not given him the chance to remember you as he said he would after your nails could no longer claw into Daryl’s ankle. He was thrashing too much and Negan’s men pushed you away; they were too strong together against the two of you. They kicked dirt in your face for it, held a gun to your head until Negan told them to stop. His point was made with your two friends he had killed, no need for another— especially not one who amused him like you had just done.
‘DAYUM. She is surprisingly strong!’ He had yelled, ignoring the weeping faces of you and the group kneeling in a line on the ground; sweat, blood, and tears dripping everywhere. ‘And I do like ‘em loyal…’ He had given you a once over while telling his men, ‘Hands off, gentlemen,’ and before returning his attention back to Rick, he added, ‘I’ll keep my eye on you.’
And he did.
You made an impression.
Now you’ll pay.
Rick should have told you why he wanted you to stay with Judith. He remembered what Negan said too. He remembered what Negan said to everyone. He couldn’t forget. But maybe it didn’t matter. It was only the start of Negan’s day here. Maybe he would have found you anyway.
Rick would feel it was all his fault nonetheless, but all you could think about is how truly, it was your own, and no one’s at all.
The sun allows glints of wickedness to sparkle in the whites of Negan’s teeth as he continues imparts his demand, “From now on, don’t stop me when I’m giving an order, okay?” It’s like you can hear him underlining his words just with his darkened voice. Turning his waist, he extends his hand to everyone as he finishes, “And that goes for all of you.”
You force your face to remain leveled as he meets your eyes again, that cheshire look returning directly toward you. He curls his head to the side, whispering near your profile, “So… you’re his girl, huh?”
Your mouth becomes slightly agape. You don’t even realize it before you can try to close it. He asked the question of aversion, or at least that’s what you assumed it was to Daryl.
You knew it was just his way, that speaking about things like this might have not been his strong suit. Besides, there were more things to worry about almost all the time, but it still hurt to know that when asked, the only complete and honest answer there could be was no.
Your eyes trail down slowly, desperate to avoid his, and Daryl’s face— a few feet away from you— turning to the side, looking at nothing. He could not hear what was being asked, but maybe Rick did, Rosita and Gabriel too. It was unclear, but their eyes prodded with more tension, more worry, Daryl could register that, and even more so, he could not stand Negan’s face that close to yours; he was probably trying to make an advance on you, scare you, or both. He pretends not to care, but ultimately it’s useless. Negan detects your expression and turns to look at Daryl’s; he notices both failing attempts at impassivity.
“Oh,” he muses, voice returning to its normal volume, “or not, my bad…. I guess that does make more sense though.” He speaks louder now, casually, like he’s a close friend consoling you about your boy troubles, “I personally haven’t been able to hold a conversation with the guy either, and I’m just tryna be friends.”
Daryl was right. Negan was weaseling his way in. He snarls because of it.
Only Dwight hears this and sends him a warning glare.
You feel the sweat beading from your hairline to the nape of your neck. The danger felt from Negan’s presence was as thick as the sun’s heat that shone directly on the cemetery grove. It’s hard to look up and especially to look at him directly for that long as if he truly was the fire in the sky, so you look down again.
Negan pats your shoulder sympathetically, his hand then going to hold up your chin, his thumb tracing your jaw softly.
It makes Daryl’s arms twitch and his stance jerks forward, but he’s pushed back, Dwight beating him on the chest. It’s only once but you can hear it, everyone heard it.
It only makes Negan’s grin become more sly because— there it is— a reaction; an answer. It makes what he’s about to do that much more sweet: “Fuck, darlin’. I’m sorry. Idiot,” he tisks. Then more quietly he adds, “I’m not one though.”
This time it’s for sure: Rick caught that, and Rosita too. They give each other an alarming look as Negan continues to trail over your dispirited form, like a wilted flower. His hand lowers back down to your shoulder, then trails to your arm, to the elbow, and then off of you entirely.
Despite the feeling of Lucille under his grasp telling him he shouldn’t, Rick urges himself to speak before Negan says what they all know is coming. “Negan,” he starts, swallowing the slight shake in his voice, “would you like to see the pantry—”
“Did I ask you to speak, Rick?” Negan states, his frame still positioned in front of you. “I’m thinkin’ here… I’m thinkin’… particularly, that you should come with me.”
Daryl makes a sound that you couldn’t hear, for Dwight was already barking a “Shut up,” at him. Only the swat he gives to Daryl’s shoulder is what is once again heard by all.
You almost choke on your gasp, but you hold it in. Only letting out the faintest sound as you ask, “What?”
“You heard me,” he plainly says. “I mean, what do you even do here anyway?”
You almost felt embarrassed to answer.
“No, I’m askin’. Seriously. Does Rick actually utilize you?”
As you begin, your voice is still quiet, “I… I work in the garden, with the produce… I help tutor the kids… I go on runs, gather supplies. I cook. Help with weapons maintenance, I—” you stop, realizing your grocery list of jobs probably sounds pathetic to him, you’re like a chore boy, “— I do a lot. But everyone does.”
“Hm,” Negan responds, playing with his nails nonchalantly. Your thoughts come to fruition with his next words, “So you’re just everyone’s helper?”
He noticed the sad offense emanating from your eyes, so he raised his hands, “And those are important things to do, I mean it. It must mean you know quite a bit from everyone, that’s smart, and there’s no trouble in it. But… I saw you. I think you can do more.”
“How?” You can still only gasp out your words. “I’m not Maggie. And she’s not here.”
“No.” He brings up one finger, “But you’re clever,” you look at him confused as he brings up his middle finger to join the first, “and quick on your feet, that I now know.” A third and fourth finger comes up, “You’re strong, you’re loyal— things I’ve stated before.” Then the fifth he says with a smug smile, “And you’re a looker, I must admit.” He moves his hand to one side of his mouth, pretending to secretly tell you, “But that’s just a plus,” he winks. “And more importantly, it seems to me that just like most people in Prick’s community, you are undervalued and not paid attention to whereas I see potential.” He says it all so simply, he truly believes he’s offering you so much better that he finally ends by saying: “Hm. Yeah. I think you’ll be much better off with me.”
And so, with no true goodbyes said, in a van you went after Negan’s visit was done. A different one from Daryl’s, of course. Taken away from the first home you had in ages.
Before the trunk door closed, Negan gave you parting words: “You see?” He had said, “I told you I’d remember you, didn’t I?”
The words rang in your ears for the entire ride as they still do now, even more or less than two months later as you sit in his room.
Your heartbeat started to rise little by little as time went on and he hadn’t arrived. With the window allowing you to escape into thought, you were left to think about the last couple of days, and specifically, the last time you were in here:
You were sitting with him on his bed. You had asked if you could talk about anything other than the world you two lived in now, and surprisingly, he obliged. It was nice. Sometime later, he had finally opened that locked drawer.
You heard him suck his teeth, what he was getting seemed lost, which allowed you to take a closer peek inside.
There was a picture of a woman. The first wife? The only real one? You couldn’t tell and you wouldn’t ask, it would have been too much. You didn’t even get a good look at the woman anyway— part of her face was covered and he was fast. But he saw your eyes, so you decided to take note of the books you caught a glimpse of, pretending it was the only thing you saw. You try to think of something to say… It did make sense he was a reader, at least even mildly if that was all it was. The way he describes his ideals, his persuasiveness, his diction— it impressed you, even if you disagreed with a lot of it. It was almost ironic that the only cover you saw was of a dictionary, the more valuable ones probably hidden under. “Is that where you get all your big boy words from?” You asked.
“Some of them,” he joked back, composing himself.
It was strange to almost catch him off guard. It was so unlike him to allow it, but what happened next felt even more surprising.
Whatever he got from the drawer was enclosed in his hand. He put the free one on top of the other as he started, “Now… I don’t want you thinking I’m growing soft on you. I just thought you deserve it because—” and then his voice fades. Even Negan, the ever curse-filled wordsmith, was finding it hard to describe in any other way that he was pleased with something as absurd as you not trying to escape anymore. He knew you would probably think that was the only reason for a gift, but then he opted for something that even you couldn’t help but know was equally true, “You don’t seem to proactively hate me anymore. You’re here. I appreciate it, so I wanted to,” he says sincerely. “That’s all.”
Negan opened his hand, resting the piece in your palm— it was a locket; lovely and rusted floral engravings all over it.
You felt sad that you thought it was beautiful, and even worse for knowing the reasons why he was giving it to you. No wonder his voice had faltered.
You remember the soft shock and awe on your face, how you said thank you and how your face felt so hot when you said it, how he asked you to turn, and how you looked at him from behind you after he put the piece on. He was so close and it felt like he was coming closer. You don’t remember if that part was real, but you can see it so clearly that it must have been. Unfortunately, the only thing you remember for certain is that knock at the door that sent Negan away to handle whatever was going on downstairs.
Had you almost let him kiss you? Would you have liked it? Are you the most deplorable person for even thinking that while Daryl was somewhere else locked up at the time?
“I see they delivered my message.”
You return from your daze, your startle leaving as soon as it comes.
It was just him. There Negan finally was.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to just come in. The door was unlocked.”
“I knew the meeting was gonna go longer than expected; thought you might as well make yourself comfortable.” He gestures to you, “which I see you did, and no—“ you were getting up from his bed, “it’s fine.” Negan sets Lucille near the door. He walks over to you, sitting down on the edge of his bed as well. There is a bit of distance between you two.
“You know, I came back the other day,” he informs, “I was actually going to talk to you last night, but then I heard you tried to leave. Again.” His eyebrows furrow, “We still on that?” He asks. “Thought we had a breakthrough the other night.”
“But after Carl—“
“—Carl,” he interjects, “came here all by his badass self, and for that, I did not lay even my pinky fuckin’ finger on him.” His hand goes to his chest, “I even took him home like a gentleman. And after I got here and found out they put you in a cell without supper, I had you back in your bed before midnight yesterday, so I’d say I’m doing pretty well.”
“Seriously?” Your incredulity is hidden under the softness of your voice as you say it, but it’s cracking.
“As a heart attack. It’s your ex-people who don’t listen. At least I was nice this time.”
You sigh heavily, docility officially fading. You shake your head with a slight chuckle, “That’s hard to believe. Especially if you were gone for most of the day. I know what that means. You had whatever the fuck your version of fun is.”
He grits his teeth, holding his words back. You’ve gotten a little too comfortable with the back talk, and you especially shouldn’t be saying anything after the night you had yesterday, but he allows it.
This time.
Of course, he didn’t like you leaving, but he rather that it was Daryl who escaped than you. And based on the bruises: one on the side of your head, one high on your shoulder— he imagines you might have gotten pushed against a wall— and the light ones that littered in a couple of spots on both your arms— he could tell his men must have been rough with you as they brought you back. He didn’t like that; therefore, he lets you quip. Someone would be getting their own bruises for it some time later anyway. He would take your smartass mouth out on them to cover for it.
“Maybe,” he finally says. “Nothing was undeserved though.”
You breathe in, the back and forth was no use. “What happened yesterday?” You asked, losing the sarcasm. Your eyes peered into his for honesty, hoping to skip the sly replies and get to the truth. “Just tell me what happened at home.”
Home. You knew better than to use that word. In fact, you have just stopped using that word. He let out an exasperated laugh, but skipped the lecture. “You want the truth? Or just the SparkNotes?”
You roll your eyes lightly. You probably don’t even notice you did it. Despite the situation being discussed, it makes Negan’s head turn endearingly— your tone of voice, the things you say, the way you react to him… you still don’t realize how fresh you’ve gotten with him, how comfortable. But he sees it.
“Alright. Well, Spencer’s gone.” He reveals offhandedly, replying to your silence.
Your eyes do not widen, you know what gone means. You simply nod and try to not think about how the now-cleaned bat most likely looked before.
“And don’t tell me that you care,” he says, pretending to interject to your continuing silence. “You gotta know he was a small dick nepo-prick, right?”
You bite the inside of your lip, shaking your head slightly. You won’t give in to a cheap joke even if it was pretty accurate, so he beckons you by name, “C’mon, that was funny.”
Still, you give him nothing.
He sighs; taking off his leather; and sits near you on the bed, his hands cupping the ledge. “Thought we were finally over this quiet thing.
“A lot has happened this week.”
“Like…” he prodes. He would only talk about it if you brought it up.
Your eyes shut tightly before opening again. You didn’t want to say it, but you had to. “You know what. Daryl.”
He states the fact plainly, “Daryl left you.”
“Are you kidding me?” Your voice is fierce now. You can’t believe it. You won’t. “He’s not that kind of person and this isn’t an easy place to get out of— I obviously know that— he wouldn’t.”
“Oh, I know,” he jeers, “but he did and he didn’t bring you with him. Even though you were found trying to find his cell. That’s some real idiotic bullshit right there, isn’t it? From both of you.”
You glared at him hotly, you wouldn’t give it up, but unfortunately you had no rebuttal. Both of you would just continue on with the same argument, the conversation going nowhere. And not because either side knew they were completely right; in truth, neither of you actually knew what happened the other day. But in this regard, you felt there was no other choice: you believed in Daryl fully.
Because he wouldn’t.
He couldn’t.
Right?
You continue shaking your head, trying to find something to say in retaliation as you feel your sureness withering. Separating you two was the smartest tactic. You now have nothing to hold onto. “He wouldn’t,” you repeat pathetically, “I don’t believe you.” Unfortunately it’s not quite enough, so he continues with a rant you know all too well.
“You don’t believe me?” He cups the ends of the bed more tightly, positioning himself closer to you. “When I’m the one who gave you the safest roof? Secure food, clean water, access to all these pretty dresses, which, I know you’ve become accustomed to—” and here it comes— “I saved you!”
Saviors and their “saving,” you sneered at it. What bullshit. “You didn’t save me.”
“But I gave you someone to talk to… Huh?” He taunts, waiting for your response but nothing comes. He uses it to his advantage, “You’re quiet cause you know it’s true.”
But you know something too. He says it before you can.
“Or fuck, maybe I just gave myself someone to talk to.”
You pretend you can’t hear the earnesty in it. “Stop,” you scoff. “Don’t treat me like I’m special. I was the second choice.”
“I think with my dick sometimes. You’re the only choice.”
You start to shake your head, your face is flushed; scared, hot, and a little bit of something else that you refuse to let out. Then the tears come— the room feels so big and you two are so close and there are so many feelings you’re trying to push down. “It doesn’t matter,” you say wearily, “You took me. And you took him. You hurt him, I saw his face.” Your voice begins to tremble, almost in unison with the tears that peak out on your eyelids. “And that outfit you put him in. He didn’t even look me in the eye.”
“Stop,” he warns.
“You didn’t even let me see him.”
“He doesn’t notice you.”
“You don’t know us.”
“I know you.”
“You don’t know him.”
“I know you’re not happy… What about the other night?”
You ignore him, shaking your head: “You hurt my friends.”
“What about the other night?” He persists, his voice slowly growing louder. “What about every time I let you sit in on my meetings? What about how you have your own room? What about how I actually talk to you?”
“You let him get hurt—” the tears start to fall, there is a quiver in your voice but you still match his near shout, “And you almost killed Carl—”
“Shut up.”
“And you killed Abraham—”
He warns you by name.
“And Glenn! Maggie’s husband—”
“SHUT. UP.”
“The baby won’t have a father, Negan!”
His voice is low and grim as he demands you to “Stop. Now.” Negan grabs the sides of your neck as he says his next line, it comes out brisk and harsh and heavy like his touch as his hand wraps around your neck. “I knew you lied to me.”
Your voice is hushed, feeling his lightly pressed thumbs on the front of your throat as you speak shakily, “I’ve never lied to you.”
“Maybe not since you’ve been here, but did you hear yourself right now?” He pauses, allowing you a second to let it sink in. “You just fucking proved it.”
Your eyes widen at the realization. The baby, you had said. Fuck.
“See? Told you, you were smart.”
And he did. Brave Maggie. Clever you. That was his reason number one.
“You have to get why.”
His voice remains eerily calm. “I do.”
Another tear falls and his thumb presses its pad under your eye, spreading a tear on your face as the next one comes down.
“Negan…” you say. It’s a mix of a warning and a plea but you can’t tell for what, both fear and fire mix together because of his proximity. His touch and stare was dangerous, you wouldn’t be surprised if he was pleased he caught your slip up, thrilled to see you cry, but there was also something about it— his touch, his eyes— that was equally intoxicating. There was something more tender there as well, something you didn’t want to turn away from, he wasn’t as rough as you thought. Nonetheless, your answer to these conflicting feelings are ones of neglect, you stay your course. “You’re a bad person,” you tell him.
“Please,” he whispers back, “just stop.”
His eyes glaze over your features with an intent look you’ve only seen once before, it was that other night in fact. It’s almost gentle, but maybe it’s just pity, so you don’t let it stop you. “But you are.”
“Stop,” he pleads, then it’s hushed, “just stop…” he says, “just stop.” Then he starts coming closer. “Tell me to stop.”
And you know you should get up.
You should, you should, you should, you know it but— you don’t.
You breathe into it.
His lips latch onto yours; your heads tilt; you lock perfectly.
Everything after happens fast, the instantaneous mess of it all: he waited and waited, and of course he would. He was waiting for you to see it, to feel it. He thought the other night was the breakthrough, but no, it was tonight, it was how you didn’t back away just now.
His hand goes lower on your leg, nearing your knees so he can get under your dress, trailing up your thigh, reaching the inner side that’s pressed up to the other one.
His hand on your neck brings you in closer, traveling up to under your chin and jaw, holding you so tight, but so sweetly. All you felt was surprise. He slips his tongue in, it's deep and intense. He brings a velvet warmth that you’d never expect from him. It was paradoxical; a fiery heaven of a feeling.
He starts rubbing your clit over your panties, kissing his way up to your ear as he does so to ask, “When’s the last time someone’s fucked you?”
Your lips are parted, but you cannot speak, so he continues.
“Daryl never did, did he?” He asks in a muffle, continuing to kiss and kiss. “Who was before him?”
Again, no verbal response, but your breath does hitch at his touches. He continues to draw circles, your wetness now slowly dampening the material, making it easier for his finger to place itself between your folds, so he dips his hand under the band. That and his whispering makes you feel a kind of spark that shoots all the way down to where his fingers are touching. The first press of his thumb without any material in between forces a sudden heat to rise that instantly causes a flush of liquid to slip down your hole, it feels messier than it actually is until his fingers go lower spreading it everywhere. You were much wetter than you thought, and you can’t help how good it feels, how easily you’re responding to it.
Negan calls your name, holding in every cocky reply he wanted to give about how wet you are— he needed an answer to his question first. So he looks you in the face, making sure he has your full attention, “You’re fuckin’ with me, right?” His words are meant more genuinely than his tone implies. “Not at all during any of this?”
You shake your head small and slowly. No.
He laughs pitifully, he doesn’t mean it rudely, but he just can’t help it. A touch-starved baby at the mercy of his fingertips? “Well, god-damn.”
He felt like a rich man.
He begins to kiss your lips again, now pumping his fingers into you. Your walls tighten. It’s only two, but they’re his. It’s new and exciting. His kiss makes you lean into the bed, the force of his head and tongue going deeper into your mouth guiding you to lay flat as his fingers still play.
“I hope you know how fucking soaked you are,” he finally says. “You need it so bad that it feels this damn good with me only touching you like this?” You can’t help the way your body jerks up and he can’t help but be smug about it. “Can’t say I’m surprised.”
Your eyes grow vicious at his grin, you almost want to hit him, but you can’t. All you can do is suppress your moan into a quiet whine. He’s so magnetic— his touch feels forbidden but so right; his voice so alluring; and his midas touch pulls you deeper and deeper into a trance, you might as well be turning into gold. Other than the involuntary reactions your body makes as his fingers continue going into your hole, now slowly going in and out as his eye gloss over your body in your favorite dress that you wore the most, you’re left paralyzed; subjected to following his lead. Wherever he wanted to go next, you’d let him.
He takes his fingers from inside of you and you look up quickly. You made sure not to whine at the loss of contact but your eyes couldn’t hide your dismay. All he did was smile and quickly lick away the wetness.
“Just takin’ this off,” he tells you as his hands cross over to the ends of his white t-shirt, slipping it off and onto the ground, one of those small rope chains hitting his chin as he does so.
It was only his shirt but you’re struck by him: to see more of his ever present sun-kissed skin felt almost godly. He was pretty lean, not too lanky like his stature, but not too broad either. Light curves of muscles adorned his chest and shoulders and arms. His chest and abdomen were slightly hairy, a tattoo placed on the upper right side and you finally saw the other tattoos placed on his upper arms more clearly. They looked nice on him. He was so handsome. You felt more wetness peeking out from down below. He looked so big above you.
“Like what you see, beautiful?” That typical snark still laced his voice, but there was a genuinity to it as well. He wanted you to like what you saw; to like him.
His words make your face hot, eyes casting off to the side. It was easier to talk to him when you were mad at him, when it was about home, even just small talk about the Sanctuary; this felt… different. Just like the other night.
You had almost already forgotten that his charm worked this way too; in a kinder way— when his eyes are wide, when his smile is soft, when he calls you sweet names without the irreverent, quip-filled pretenses.
It made you have all the words on the tip your tongue: how handsome and sexy you could say he is, how much you liked his tattoos, even all the greys that littered his hair and beard l, or how, if you had to admit it, you liked that dumb shit-eating grin of his, but all you can do is lightly smile, a quiet laugh escaping your lips at your bashfulness. You finally nod. “Yes,” you say, rolling your eyes, “maybe.”
He starts undoing his belt with a laugh of his own, “Oh I know you’re a fuckin liar if you think I’m a maybe.”
As his pants drop to the floor he takes each hand and places them over your shoulders on the bed to ask, “May I take off the lady’s dress?”
Your eyes widened, your open mouth only letting out a sweet, surprised, and whispered, “Huh?”
“What? Didn’t expect me to be a gentleman?”
You try to compose yourself, calm the fire you feel all throughout your body, and pretend you haven’t already given in completely right when he kissed you. “I just didn’t expect it would be all this slow.”
He laughs inwardly, glad to see the personality he came to know come back after all that happened these past two days. “Just give me a moment,” he jokes back. “You think I’m gonna waste seeing the reaction of you watching my cock spring out just so I can shove it in fast? ” He comes closer, his voice lowers now, “Believe it or not, I don’t think you’re just some doll or a fuck-piece.” The groundedness of his voice is something you’ve never heard before. “I’m pretty sure I’ve already stated that I see you. And truly, I think you’re damn gorgeous.”
Your eyes are stars. How can you even react? He thinks you’re gorgeous and you’re taken aback. “Thank you,” is all you can quietly say.
“You’re welcome.” He responds with eyes that have never looked so honest, so soft. You get lost in them and he has to pull you back, returning to his question, “May I?”
You nod, quick and excitedly, “You can take it off, Negan.”
He grabs your hands and stands you up. You look up at his face and his fingers move to the ends of your dress, pulling it over your head.
The tips of his fingers trace your chest and stomach lightly, delicately touching your skin as if it’s porcelain. He grabs your waist and travels up to take off your bra, then pushes down your wet underwear.
Negan’s cock stirs at the sight, you’re so pretty and so ready for him. “And I didn’t even need to see it to know I was right.” Just like he said, you’re gorgeous.
Negan pushes down his boxers. Cock springing up. Big and veiny with a red tip. He was itching to get inside of you.
And there you were, eyes and mouth open wide, scared and excited all at once. You were intimidated but surprisingly not scared if it would fit or not. You would let him do anything to get himself inside of you, even if it hurt.
“There it is,” he says, pleased with your reaction. He comes closer to your ear now, pushing you down by the hips against the bed once more. “And trust me, if you like that, you won’t fucking believe how I’ll feel inside of you. Just wait.”
“I…” He wanted to make you feel good, you’re almost speechless. “I’m ready.”
“Good.” He says, and then he places himself above you, admiring your glistening folds as he spreads your legs. He already lines himself up, he could look at you forever but he is in no desire to wait any longer. He pushes in. It’s a bit fast, a tight fit, it must have hurt you, but he’s too excited, he can’t help it. He lets out a hum and then a groan at the feeling of your walls enclosing him, and he hears you gasp at his size. He starts to pump into you immediately.
His face hovers over yours. His eyes study your features and he realizes he’s never been this close. Of course he hasn’t, he’s never fucked you, made love to you. He’s just now noticing the way your eyelashes curl, what birthmarks adorn your upper body or not, and how many earrings you may have, but most importantly, he’s noticing the way you react to him: the way your eyebrows might scrunch, or what elicits more pants and squirmings, the way your lips tug tightly against each other or open into ovals and circles depending on what he does, how he thrusts, where he touches, how he moves.
It all makes him slowly speed up. He can’t take it anymore. He kisses your neck and jaw— some kisses sweet, then others that are rough and he begins to pump and pump. Faster and faster.
“Oh,” you choke out before moaning, “ah.”
He continues, loving every facial expression you make until he finally speaks. “Alright. I gave you a break— now tell me how it feels?”
All you can do is whine incoherently.
“Excuse me?” He says more sternly. You know what he wants.
“Negan,” you whine again.
He stops. “Yes?” He asks all too knowingly. “Gonna use your words and tell me how it feels?”
You sigh, taking the hand placed on your hip and moving up toward the ends of your stomach, all the way up to your left breast. You let his hand rest there, feeling the heat and your quickened heartbeat radiating from the area. “You… you feel so good.” Your eyes are watery, “Amazing.”
You got him there, and he almost can’t help but start hammering it in, but then he remembers… he doesn’t have to help it. He could do whatever he wanted, so he does. He squeezes your breast, grinning wildly as he gives you one hard thrust. “Damn right,” he tells you, hearing your yelp before pounding fast.
You had always been quiet but he never quite saw you at a loss for words as you are now. Your mouth is completely open, your eyes threatening to roll back further, making sounds he’s sure you’ve never heard from yourself before. Have you even had it this fast? This big? This great? He knows it couldn’t be. And he’s the one who gets to show you. His eyes gloss over you with pride at the thought.
He grabs your chin to get you to look at him, “Who’s fucking you this good?”
You moan. You weren’t used to this. Your eyes roll back completely as he pounds into you with eye contact.
It makes him groan loudly, his jerks into you, letting out his own moan from the sight. “Oh fuck, baby. Don’t play with me.”
You give in, force yourself to speak, you can’t let this end. “You, Negan!”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yes!” It’s so hard to speak, it comes out so pathetically.
“Who's making you feel like no one else?”
“You, Negan, it’s you!” Your moan turns into a pant, “It’s you, only you.”
He comes closer, his nose touches yours. His movements slow, but they don’t stop. He’s rocking into you now. “Only me?”
You don’t even think, “Who else? It's only you.”
His teeth sparkle, “Only me.”
“Only you, daddy.”
He laughs cockily, “So Daddy’s making you feel this good?”
“Yes, daddy. So good.”
You feel the groan he makes travel right to your clit, making it throb.
He kisses you, the corners of your lips to your cheek and neck and collarbones and back up again.
He restarts his pumping into you but his head remains close to yours. You decide to wrap one of your arms around his neck, pulling his hair, and the other hand travels down his back, holding him close.
Negan breathes you in, his head near the crux of your neck, hearing every little sweet sound you make that he’s never heard before. It all drives him wild, but then his eyes open. A question comes out that surprises you both: “Am I ruining your life right now?” He quietly asks.
“That doesn’t matter,” you say, breathing heavily from his touches, your eyes are still closed.
“I think it does.”
“You make me feel like no one ever has…” The bliss you feel from his current soft strokes and touches making it hard to speak, your voice is so light. “At least I got to experience it.” You open your eyes now, fingers tracing the cross drawn into his arm, “At least I got to see the real you.”
Your eyes say more than your words do. There’s a yearning and a sadness, an answer to what feels right in this moment, but an insight that there are doubts that could creep up later the more that you think about it.
“Just keep going,” you tell him, “I want to see you.”
You want to see him, you do see him. His head connects with yours again, and you moan into each other's mouths as he keeps pumping. Your legs come up to his hips and you’re not afraid to be loud anymore, to tell him how good it feels, how much you like him.
He takes your hands and places them over your head, crossing his fingers with your. It’s so pure, so lovely even when he’s going so hard down below. You hear your breaths heavy and your bodies slapping and the bed shaking.
You think about his skin, and his scratchy beard against yours, and the way you hate how he can make you smile by making the most ridiculous and raunchy jokes, and the way you love his voice, the way you can’t help but to like the way he cares for you.
“Negan,” you say weakly.
“Yes,” he responds intently.
“I’m gonna come,” you tell him. “I think I can.”
“Come for me,” he encourages, moving one of his hands down to rub your clit. “C’mon.”
“I’m gonna come,” you repeat, edging yourself on. Bucking up at his thrusts and his fingers.
“You can do it. Be a good girl. Do it for me.”
You swear the fireplace blazes louder and bigger, lighting up the whole room as you yell out, moaning once more as you orgasm.
Negan finally breaths out after, holding in for so long, and comes after you. His hands place themselves flat on the bed and he pushes in fast, riding out the high.
He scoops you up immediately, holding you in his arms. He doesn’t want to let go.
You two stay there for a moment until you look up. His hand caresses your face, “What is it?”
“I…” you were embarrassed to admit that you weren’t ready for it to all be over yet. “Can I ride you?”
A wiley smile appears on his face. He has to admit, he’s a little shocked you’re ready to go again, but he’d never turn it down. “Well, of course you can, babygirl.”
He flips you over, completely ready, but instantly, you become hesitant, almost overwhelmed. He was the world, not you, yet you were now above him. All the allowance to touch him anywhere you want at your disposal.
He puts his hands under his head, arms flexing. An ever wide smile present as he waits for you to begin. “You asked for it. Don’t get shy on me now.”
Your eyes grow excited again, deciding not to hold back, and you start to rock against him. You place you hands on his chest, feeling him up, touching his biceps, hands going over his tattoos— you could stare at them, at him, for hours. You honestly think you’d lick his whole body if he’d let you. And of course he probably would. To feel big and proud and irresistible while you look like a little desperate freak? You wouldn’t even have to ask him twice. Thinking about it and about how full his cock is making you feel, stretching and reaching all the right places, makes you moan and whine. You bucked your hips wildly, humming and giving him “mmms” because of how yummy it feels. You could do this forever.
“Ah- uh- Negan,” you moan and your stomach caves as you whine again and you hurl forward, continuing to rock but your pace is faltering. It’s becoming too hard and Negan can tell so he takes you by the hips, helping you move. First continuing to let your grind and then pushing you up and down his shaft so you can bounce on him. You push yourself up again, hand on his chest, pushing against it and you bounce along with his help. This was fun. You try to go faster and faster. It felt like being a kid on a playground.
“Open your eyes,” he demands. “Look at who you’re fucking, sweetheart.”
So you do, and moan at the sight of him, “Ohmygod,” you say. “You’re so handsome, Negan.”
He's so proud of you. Enjoying your actions, enjoying your noises. He groans as he sees your breast bounce and it makes you squeeze against him.
“Good girl,” he coos, “finally listening when you’re spoken to, about to make yourself come on daddy’s cock again.”
He starts to rub your clit again and you continue to bounce. It almost hurts because of how overstimulated you’ve become but you don’t tell him to stop. Your hands come to reach the headboard, helping you bounce harder. He tells you again how much of a good girl you are, how he loves that you’re not stopping, then he tells you how dirty and desperate you are for wanting him again after he already made you come. But he’s obsessed. This is all he’s ever wanted since the day he brought you here. His hands trail up from your hips to your waist and breast and back down again. There is nothing more he wants than to fuck you or for you fuck him.
You look down. You both notice your necklace still wrapped around your neck, almost nearing between your breasts, bouncing along with all of you. It reminds you of why you're here, why he gave it to you. It makes you have the realization he had… Was he ruining your life? Were you ruining your own? But how could you be when it all feels this good? It was completely screwed up, but everything felt so magnificently brilliant. His touch is everything, his voice is everything, his body is everything. It makes your hips stutter, it makes you moan, and at last, it makes you come again. You ride your high, going and going and going until you fall into his chest. His hands come to hold you tight thereafter.
Unthinkable bliss is all that is felt for a long moment… then… your head turns to the window. You remember what is out there and what isn’t in here.
A tear falls down your cheek and he realizes what’s happening when it falls onto his shoulder.
It hurts him now. To see you cry. It’s not fun anymore. You feel it, yes. You see what he saw, it’s true. But you aren’t really his wife. You’re nothing that is his at all. You both know that as well.
It takes you a long time to speak, you have to force yourself, but you do. “You have to let me go now.” You say it sternly but there is a sadness to it; a small part of you wants to not mean it even though you completely do, even though you do wish to stay here, to be enveloped by his embrace— you simply cannot forget.
“Mm,” he shakes his head, remaining leveled, “you know too much.”
“I barely know anything,” you say. “And not that anything I do know matters. Knowing the way around the Sanctuary isn’t going to help anyone when I know there is no way we could actually get in…. And what’s more important anyway is that I’m not changing my mind and you’re not either.”
“I’m not.”
“And I can’t. I wouldn’t. And they’re not going to. Never…. And if some of them die…” A whimper almost leaves you but you manage to swallow it, “I have to be by their side, Negan. I can’t only hear about it. I… I can’t see it next to you.”
His lips are pressed firm, his jaw is fixed and tight, almost like he’s grinding down on his teeth. The breath he takes through his nose could be a heavy sigh if he opened his mouth, but he doesn’t. He keeps it all in.
You words and their weight hang in the air for a moment before he finally speaks: “One of my guys that watches the armory doors has a shift that ends at 6:00 am… but at 5:50 I’m going to come up to him and tell him he gets off 10 minutes early that day, that I’ll wait for the next person to come.” He lets his words hang in the air for a moment, your confusion spirals before he keeps going. “It’ll be fucking weird, but he’ll look dumb as shit if he questions me, so he won’t. Then when he’s out of sight, I’ll leave. The next person is coming right at 6. That’s all you get. 10 minutes. A little less really.”
Your eyes round slowly as the stun continues to sink in. He’s… letting you leave.
“You take one gun and one knife. Just one. Don’t make it noticeable. I’m going to check. Then you go out of the back door that’s inside.” He didn’t have to tell you the way. “It should be easy, I know you’ve tried it before.”
You look down, taking in all he says, but then he turns you face to meet his, “If anyone sees you, I’m gonna have to make a show of it when they bring you back. Not what I want. But if I get there before you get out, maybe 5:58, just cause I’m an asshole, just to see you one last time… And if I do, I’m gonna turn you around and you’re stayin’. Fair?”
You nod. It’s small and light. You don’t question any of it, you can’t. “8 minutes.” You respond.
“8 minutes.” His voice is neutral, but underneath there was a tinge of solemnity to it. “8 minutes,” he says under his breath.
“What about now?”
“Now?” He asks. He didn’t think about it. He assumed you would want to go after this, after you got what you wanted. “Well,” he turns to his nightstand, “right now it’s nearing midnight.” He stares at you for a moment, you can’t tell what he’s thinking. This whole moment has felt so quiet, both eerie and gentle. You still weren’t used to the latter from him, even after what just happened. “You can go if you want. Sleep in your bed for one more night, or…” he stops, “You can stay with me, if you’d like.” His sigh is short and whispered but you both hear it, you feel its weight. “It’s your choice.”
You stare at each other for a moment. Your eyes trail all of his face and the arm that is still holding your own, adorned with all the tattoos and skin you had just fallen for. You wanted to study them and hold onto him forever. And his eyes: they said so much— there were so many little inflections, ones that you had finally read, and so many others you’ve yet to decipher. You desired to know him, but you had to go, so all you decided to do was to hold him. For now, you chose to stay, and hoped that your embrace would transfer the fact that the only reason it would be hard to leave is because of him and only him. You would remember this forever.
“8 hours till 8.”
“8 hours till 8, kid.”
You close your eyes tight and nuzzle into his chest, A peace you had never known in the Sanctuary finally subsumed you. You feel free to finally tell him, “Thank you. I miss home.”
Home. There it is again. There was no malice in the way you said it, but there was still a pang from your melancholy words that made his heart throb. You missed home. And as peaceful as you looked, and as safely as you held onto him, your words reaffirmed that home was not here and it was not with him, no matter how you looked, and no matter the fact that you were allowing him to hold you for the night, to call you his. In the end, you were not.
He had to finally accept it.
“8 hours till 8,” are your last words until you finally drift to sleep. This would be your last and most tranquil night here. To you, it felt right, almost harmonious, albeit sad. This is how it was how it was meant to be. You needed it.
But to him, it’s shattering. He doesn’t repeat the phrase back this time. For once he has nothing to say. The fire glow of the night has now withered into darkness.
You won. He lost.
But both your hearts broke.

If Negan had a soft spot for you
Tumblr media
Over time, Negan developed a soft spot for you, impressed by your intelligence, resourcefulness, and fearlessness.
Your influence on Negan has been profound but subtle, forcing him to confront his own moral code and rethink his worldview.
Negan is fiercely protective of you, though he would never admit it to anyone, not even himself.
It's only to you that Negan shows his vulnerable side, trusting you in a way he never has anyone else.
While he may never admit it outright, Negan often seeks your advice.
You are one of the few people who can make Negan genuinely laugh.
Even though he would never admit it, Negan has a habit of bringing you small gifts like candy or magazines.
Negan finds himself thinking about you often, even when you're not around, which annoys him to no end.
You have a calming effect on Negan, the only person who can prevent him from losing his temper.
Negan struggles with admitting that he likes you, fearing it may make him look weak.
You often help Negan see situations from different angles, preventing him from making rash decisions.
Negan is secretly proud of your accomplishments and loves to boast about them to others.
You are the only person that Negan is willing to make compromises for.
Negan will drop everything to help you, regardless of the situation.
Convincing Negan to show mercy is a rare occurrence, and only you have the power to do it.
Negan's soft spot for you is something he'd never reveal to anyone, not even his most trusted lieutenants.
Negan is fiercely jealous of anyone who tries to get close to you, though he would never admit it.
You provide a sounding board for Negan, allowing him to talk through his problems without fear of judgment.
Negan struggles with his soft spot for you, viewing it as a weakness, but he can't help how he feels.
Even though he may act tough and intimidating, you know that Negan is a big softie at heart, and that's part of what makes him special to you.
Negan might start to consider more ethical and moral decisions, recognizing that there is more to life than just power and control.
Ultimately, Negan's soft spot for you would make him a more complex and nuanced person, with a greater capacity for empathy and compassion.

Hate or Lust?
Summary: Y/N and Negan get separated from the rest of the saviors for a few nights.
Warning: Negan is a warning himself, swearing, tension, sexual tension.
A/N: I randomly made this with my boyfriend on call! I hope it’s good!!
Tumblr media
You’ve known Negan for a while, you were one of his first members. He always seemed to be annoyed by your presence, he enjoyed your work but not you as a person.
You were getting ready to set out with Negan, and a few other of his higher ups to go check out a few abandoned buildings that Dwight said he saw. Of course Negan chose you to go with him. He enjoyed how hard you worked, and how much you’d do for everyone. He didn’t bother to talk to you though.
You walked up to Dwight, slinging your bag over your shoulders. Dwight seemed to have a scowl on his face, never lightening up since Negan burned the side of it. He looked up at you as he fixed his sleeve. “How far away are they?” You had asked and slid your hands into your pockets.
He looked out towards the gate. “…not far away. maybe an hour at most?” He glanced at his sleeve, and then looked at you again. “Big boss making you go?” Dwight knew about the whole thing between the two of you. Dwight was honestly one of your best friends here, so if he didn’t see it himself you would have told him anyway.
With a nod of your head, you heard more footsteps on the gravel ground, slow dragging footsteps that could only belong to one person. “Hey dwighty-boy! You ready?” He stood behind you, looking towards dwight. You turn around to look up at him, which he did not return.
Dwight glanced between the two of you until you looked at Dwight. “Uh.. Yeah.” He wasn’t gonna say anything more, but noticing how there was tension creeping up into the air as Negan stayed put behind you. “You gonna ask the (lady/him) too?” Dwight’s eyebrows furrowed. He knew Negan well enough to know that he’ll never talk to you unless someone mentioned it.
He finally looked down at you, it was your turn to not do it back. “Hey.” His voice was firm, he obviously wasn’t going to enjoy this. You turned your head and looked up into his eyes. His usual smirk wasn’t ever shown when he looked at you. “You ready?” Was all he said, looking up at Dwight again. Your stomach clenched and you looked at the gravel covered driveway. You don’t know what you did to make Negan hate you so much, but it wasn’t a nice feeling.
“yes.” You spat out, it might come off as disrespectful, but Negan doesn’t want to waste time even punishing you. Dwight could be heard entering a truck. Negan stayed behind you, he didn’t make a plan on moving. You heard footsteps behind you from other men, but thinking it was Negan moving you spun around. Then, Negan instead of The Sanctuary in your view had you step back. He looked at you, by choice.
“Watch it, Y/N.” He said firmly, talking with gritted teeth. He held Lucille loosely as he still did not move. His eyes stayed on yours. Your stomach flipped, he never chose to talk to you, or even look at you without reason. So to say you were nervous was an understatement.
Taking a step back, you were the first to stop the staring contest. “Yes sir.” You said, in a quiet voice as you started walking towards the truck you had usually taken, although never keeping the same passenger. You didn’t look back at Negan, but his eyes could be felt on you still. Hopping into the truck with the keys, twirling them before sliding them into the key slot.
Your view was out the window, waiting for the other saviors to get into their trucks. You weren’t sure who was gonna be in your car with you today, so you waited. The door opened which made your eyes dart towards the passenger door, expecting anyone but him to show up. He got into the passenger seat and slammed the door shut. Your eyes on him but his eyes on the trucks in front.
You were now gonna have to share a truck with the man that seemed to hate your guts.. Negan. His leather jacket was on but it was now unzipped, Lucille was set on the floor in between the door and his knee. Your truck was the last in line so for him to be joining you, especially as he’d choose anyone but you, it was weird and not like him. “The other trucks were full.” Negan's voice was heard as you realized you were staring at him. Your eyes went back to looking out the window.
“Okay.” Was your response, you weren’t really sure how else you could even respond. The trucks in front of you started so you started your own. Negans presence made an uncomfortable tension. You and him weren’t heads on, but there was an underlying feeling of hatred.
The gates opened to the sanctuary, the few trucks leaving and you started your drive behind them. Usually with whoever your seating partner was there would be at least noises, but with Negan.. There wasn’t even a peep other than the truck's engine being heard. You guys were driving for about an hour like Dwight assumed when the trucks in front came to a slow stop. We arrived and Negan seemed to want to leave as quickly as possible, not even letting you stop the truck completely before he jumped out with Lucille.
You exit your truck after turning it off. Rounding the truck to get to where the other saviors were standing. It seemed like everyone didn’t care to wait for you, but Negan didn’t move until you were close enough to follow. There were two groups of us, although not discussed and just went either way, you weren’t sure which group to follow so you went to the one with Dwight, that just so happened to be the one with Negan.
Entering the house that Dwight chose to go in, someone that you didn’t bother to learn the name of stayed at the door for guard. The room you automatically walked into was the living room, where it looked mostly untouched other than pictures that were clearly taken off the wall, by the fact there were nails left behind. Everyone went into seperate room to search, two in the living room, one in the kitchen, one in the dinning room, and Dwight went into the bedroom on the first floor. Since all rooms were occupied you went up the stairs to go to the first room you saw. It was rather quiet other than the small chatter from the saviors down below. Looking through drawers you found nothing but clothes. Walking over to the bed to look in the nightstand, there were gauze(bandage wraps) which you quickly pocketed for yourself. Hoping no one will notice.
There was a voice from behind you, where the door was. You looked over to see Dwight. “Hey Y/N, find anything?” He entered the room, by how he sounded, he didn’t see you hide the gauze for yourself. You closed the nightstand drawer and stood up.
“Nothing but clothes so far, i’ll keep looking though.” You nodded and went to the other side of the bed to look at the other nightstand. Pulling the drawer open to find batteries, which has you picking them up and throwing them at Dwight. He almost didn’t catch it, he fumbled a little. “Sorry thought you were paying more attention.” I smirked, it was silly banter we did.
Dwight found it funny and finally cracked a smile after how long you’ve seen him without any emotion. He put the batteries in a bag. “Knew you’d find something.” Dwight said and walked towards the door. “Negan said that he doesn’t want to stay here too long, since he thinks he saw a few walkers.” You just nodded at him.
“Thanks Dwight.” You thanked him and he left the room. Taking a quick look around the room to see if there could be any more places to look, not much to look for as this room seemed to be the most bland. Taking a walk around the room before getting onto your stomach to look under the bed. There was liquor. Pulling it out to see what it was you heard footsteps and slid it back under the bed quickly.
You looked under the bed still, pretending like you hadn’t rodin anything. “Y/N.” Negans voice heard, it was a stern way to say your name, and it instantly made you uneasy. Why was he suddenly talking to you so much? “I heard something, what was it?” You looked up at him from where you were laying to see his eyes not at your face, but somewhere around your body. You sighed as you grabbed the liquor, and stood up to show him. Negan quickly smiled when he saw it and took it from you. “Damnnnn. Nice find.” He seemed happy with it, maybe he’ll act like he hates you less. Negan snapped for one of the saviors to take the liquor and bring it to your truck. His hand went to your shoulder, and it made you instantly freeze and you don’t know why. “I’m gonna have some funnn tonighttt,” His tone was bouncing-like. somewhat energetic. “because of you, Y/N.”
Negan then left and it made you speechless. He’s never smiled around you, not talked, not touched, not even looked at you most of the time you’ve known each other. There was nowhere else to look in the room so you left the room. Everyone was already outside taking the stuff they found to the trucks when one savior started to scream about a herd coming. You and Negan were left in the house and tried to run towards the door only to see the walkers already starting to surround the house. Negan saw this as you tried to run out the door and he had quickly grabbed on to your shirt and pulled you against him. “shh.” Negan said quietly. He was protecting you?
The trucks were heard driving off and negan cussed under his breath. They stranded us here without worrying if we were okay or not? Negan's grip is still firm on your shirt. Not letting you move, which made you feel the need to not move an inch. Negan's arm wrapped around your waist as he slowly pulled you back so you weren’t in view of the windows. Why would he care so much about you all of the sudden? “Negan..” You whispered. Which then led him to putting his hand over your mouth.
Negan kept you pressed against him, his arm around your waist and his hand over your mouth. You were hiding from any windows, to not be seen. Everytime Negan heard a noise his hand around your waist got tighter just slightly, but once knowing it okay he loosened his grip. You were unsure how to react to all of this, so you stayed still. Why Negan was protecting you so much was beyond what you knew. Your knees slightly trembled because of the nervousness with both the walker herd and Negan.
When Negan thought the coast was clear he slowly let go of you, but you didn’t move. He leaned down next to your ear. “Y/N.. I think we’re good.” Negans voice was low, he tried to tell you to move it in a way that made it seem less rude. You nodded and stepped out of his reach and towards the door. Your hand went to the doorknob as you tried to react calmly after what Negan had just been doing to you for minutes. When you finally opened the door there was a walker that wasn’t heard or seen and came walking towards you, Negan quickly pulled you back and hit the walker into the door frame. blood and brains dripping from the now dead.. dead guys head. Negan was protecting you left and right now, which only made you confused.
Taking a look outside to view around for anymore close walkers, and when there were none you and Negan quietly ran towards the truck. You didn’t know how to get back to The sanctuary.. You always were following behind a truck that knew where, but you didn’t. “Negan.. Do you remember how to get back?” You looked at Negan and somewhere along the line of when you were checking for walkers and now, Lucille was with him.
He quickly looked at you. “No?! you don’t know?!” He was more nervous sounding than angry. He cursed under his breath. “All I know is we came from that road..” Negan had pointed at the road that you both knew you guys drove down. Starting the truck and driving towards the road. “Those pieces of shit. How could they just leave?!” His hand hit the dash and it made you jump. Negan looked at you before trying to calm down.
—————
It was hours after then and you and Negan had no clue where you guys were. Ending back up at the houses since you’d been marking where they were at least, made you realize that you both were fucked. Your truck was almost out of fuel and it was getting colder. you didn’t dress to be out this long.
Your truck was parked at the side of the road while you and Negan had reentered the looted house from earlier. There was only one blanket that you always kept in your truck just in case.. so you had agreed Negan used it, although it wasn’t much of a debate since you knew Negan wasn’t gonna let you have it.
He was on the bed in the room downstairs and you were on the couch out in the living room. The colder the night got, the more you shivered. Asking Negan for the blanket wouldn’t do anything, but you had to try. Standing up from the couch and taking a slow stroll over to the bedroom, the door was open but you knocked anyways. Negan wasn’t asleep but he was close to being. “What?” Negan said with a quiet, raspy voice, clear on how tired he was.
You took a step into the room. “It’s really cold.. and i was wondering if i could have the blanket..?” Asking Negan a question felt scarier than it should have.
He sat up and faced you. “fuck.. fine. but you’re staying in this room with it in case I want it back.” He agreed and unwrapped the blanket from around himself and threw it at you. You didn’t want to push anything so you wrapped it around yourself and you were going to sit on the floor before Negan spoke up again. “Don’t be an idiot. Get on the bed.” His tone was a low grumble.
You hesitantly sat on the bed next to him, wrapped up in the blanket. At times like these you wish that there were more things to do than sit in silence, but without music, or drawing supplies, no games, it was all very boring. Negan laid down next to you, covering his eyes with his arm.
It was awkward, in the same bed as the guy that you used to think hated you, but now that he saved you twice you weren’t sure. You could feel the annoyance radiating off of him with how he was acting. “You didn’t have to give me it, you know..” You spoke quietly. This made Negan uncover his eyes to look at you.
“My leather jacket is enough to keep me warm, don’t worry about it.” He put out, turning over on his side with an audible groan. You kept sat up for a little while so it didn’t look like you were copying him, until you also laid down. Cuddling up with the blanket as you pretended he wasn’t there, so you could ease your mind into sleep faster.
—————
Waking up in the morning, your blanket was still around you, but you felt another thing on you. You looked over at Negan only to find out his arm had been wrapped around you while you both slept. Maybe Negan accidentally moves a lot in his sleep, and would most likely hate waking up with him touching you at all, so you try to quietly and gently move his arm off of you. What you didn’t expect was his arm to tighten around you. His unconscious form wouldn’t allow you to move his arm off of you.
The only thing you could do was wait for him to wake up. Which obviously took longer than you’d wish. He most likely fell asleep after you then. Waiting for him felt unnecessarily long, because all you were doing was lying there silent and still. Probably ten minutes you were sat there with his arm wrapped around your waist until you felt him move, a small noise coming out of him as he finally took his arm off of you and sat up completely. To not make it seem like you were awake, you waited a little longer. He got up and walked out of the room, which made it perfect for you to finally ‘wake up.’
The blanket you used, you left on the bed. You didn’t need it as much anymore since it was day and it would get warmer out. Walking out of the room a minute after Negan did, you saw him looking out the window. “Hey Negan.” You said getting a little closer. He turns around to look at you.
“Hmm?” He hummed and looked back out the window. “Hi?” He questioned why you asked, understandably so since you guys usually never talked.
“Do you think they’ll come back for us?” Your question made Negan clench his jaw and face you again.
He looked at you for what felt like forever before he finally answer. “They better.” Was all Negan came up with. You noticed that he was getting upset, so you took that as a sign to shut up. You looked out the window as well to see what Negan happened to be looking at. There wasn’t anything out there, must have been just hoping for them to come back.
Negan and you were waiting around almost the entire day doing nothing. Since the saviors that so rudely left you took almost everything from the houses nearby there was next to nothing to actually do. You ventured into the other houses but again, all were looted by the people who left you. No sign of them even coming back yet.
You were outside laying in the grass looking up at the sky that was slowly getting darker. Negan was standing by you, you couldn’t tell if he was watching you or just watching for anything in general.
“you look dumb.” Negan spoke up, looking down at you. Which made you look up at his direction.
“I don’t see you finding anything to pass the time.” You glared, although not really fun it’s better than nothing.
Negan nods, “Yeah, and i don’t see any food on the table either, so maybe help me find some before it’s too late?” His statement made you stand up and wipe your clothes from any collected dirt.
Looking over at him, his eyes were closed. “Yeah? and how do you expect to find food? we’re not hunters.” Your statement made his eyes open. (Daryl randomly appears and hands them squirrels -Ray)
Negan stared at you for what felt like minutes yet again. His eyes weren’t only on your own, but seemed to go up and down, what felt like judgement. “I mean if they don’t come back, we’ll need to find food somehow.” Negan finally broke the silence.
“Well no duh Negan, we aren’t just gonna let ourselves starve??” Your hands go up as you shrug, annoyed. Negan’s eyes went to the ground. You sighed. “Well if we can’t hunt, since we both don’t know how i assume, how do you expect us to find food?” You said, a more logical reply.
Negan looks around. “We’ve only been around the houses we’ve already taken from, we can move out more. See if there’s anything around?” His question was reasonable, probably the most reasonable thing he’s said all day.
You walk over to the truck, which has Negan following you. As you both get in the truck and you start it, you don’t really know where to go from here. So basically the rest of the day was spent driving around. Not much talking happened yet again between the two of you, like two kids that hate eachother but the teacher paired you up anyways.
“Stop.” Negans voice was heard suddenly which made you stomp on the breaks. More or less the sudden noise scared you. “Jesus christ not that fucking’ fast!” He glared at you for your abrupt stop.
“You said stop randomly, what would you have done?!” You glared back at him. Negan ignored your comment and got out of the truck. Were you to follow him?
Hoping out of the truck to see why Negan had left, was a mistake because he started taking a piss. You sighed and walked back to the truck. He could have at least told you why, so it wasn’t weird that you followed him. Negan noticed but said nothing. You looked around the place Negan has forced you to stop at, seeing if there was anything other than woods… there wasn’t.
As you make it back to the houses from earlier.. yet again.. you found nothing nearby. Your truck was almost out of fuel, and you didn’t have any food. If Dwight doesn’t come back soon it’s gonna end up with one of us death, if not both. Making your way back inside had Negan basically pacing. This was the first time you’ve seen him actually nervous.
Walking over to him had him stop and look at you. “Are you.. okay?” Was the only thing you could think to ask. Negan sighed.
Negan nodded and began to pace again. Although you could tell he was lying, he also wanted to be seen as a ‘fearless leader.’ So of course he’d pretend. “Those fuckers left us, and they didn’t even come back!” He exclaimed, as if you didn’t know what was happening. You came up to his pacing self yet again and gently grabbed his arm to get him to quit pacing.
He stopped and looked down at you. “It’s just us. You don’t have to pretend you’re alright.” You quietly said. This made Negan let out yet another sigh.
“Okay, I’m not fine, alright?” He was still looking down at you, and your hand was still holding onto his arm. “How can i be a leader when my group isn’t with me!” He sounded frustrated.
“I’m still here.” You said which made Negans facial expressions soften. “You’re still my leader, Negan.” With what you said made Negan finally break the eye contact.
You both stayed silent, in the same position for a minute. “As much as I love being a leader, with only one follower it’s not easy.” He finally spoke up. It was your turn to sigh.
Your arm gently slid down his arm to his hand. “As much as you seem to hate me, be annoyed by me, even hate being around me. You’re not alone here.” You paused, he didn’t seem to pull away from your touch at all. “We’ll make it back to the sanctuary, you’ll be your usual leader self again. You can go back to hating me then, but for now, instead of treating me like you can’t stand being around me, let me help. Talk to me.” You spilled out what you’ve wanted to say all day. It was dumb to say half of the stuff you just said, but you had to tell him. You couldn’t stand seeing him pretend to be okay while he’s clearly frustrated and nervous. He’s your leader, and for him to be one he needs someone to follow him. You will be that someone.
Negan was speechless as he looked back up at you. You stared at eachother for minutes before he finally said something. “I never hated you.” This caught you by surprise. He paused. “You being one of the best saviors had made me nervous. That maybe someday you’d think you’re better than i was, so i avoided you.” His eyes fluttered closed, and his face scrunched up as he paused yet again. “You were always one of the best, ever since you joined the group. And it’s not an excuse for me to have been such an asshole towards you after all you’ve done for me. I’m supposed to be your leader, but i’ve treated you like absolute shit.” His voice became shaky when he finished. His eyes opened again.
You didn’t know how to reply at first, I mean what could you even say to all of that. You thought of anything else you wanted to say, about you two, or about how he felt. “Negan..” You whispered his name so he’d look at you. “I let you lead me because you’re a good leader. Even if i thought you hated me the entire time, everyone has a reason for a wall to be built up. To hide certain people away. I never once doubted you as a leader, because I know I couldn’t lead. especially not as many people as you do.” This made you both squeeze eachother hand. You wanted to continue but you didn’t originally know how do you waited until words came to mind or Negan spoke.
Without a word from either of you Negan opened his mouth to speak. “I didn’t only build up a wall for you because i thought you’d take my place. There was something about you that i noticed right away.” He paused. His body turned to face you more directly. “I saw how brave you were, how you could defend yourself, and i wanted you in my team. But when i got you.. I messed up. I’d have been better to you if I didn’t think the way I did, or feel the way I do.” He seemed like he wanted to say something specific but he couldn’t.
You rubbed at his hand. “Negan, take your time. We’ve got plenty..” This small remark made you both smile softly. Negan just nodded.
His eyes closed for a moment before he looked directly into your eyes. “After my late wife died, i thought i wouldn’t like anyone. I was wrong.” Negans voice was quiet but firm, whatever he was getting at meant something. The fact that he mentioned the one person he swore to never mention.. made this even more emotional for the both of you. “What i’m trying to get at here y/n… is that I think I might like you. And that’s why I wanted to act like I hate you, to hide the fact I fell for someone after Lucille.” His eyes never left yours, so yours didn’t leave his.
You stared at eachother for moments until you felt your cheeks heating up. How did you feel about Negan? He was rude but you always like him.. “Negan.. I can’t say I like you yet. But i’m willing to try.” Your reply made Negan smile, and go to hug you. As you were hugging for what felt like forever you heard tricks outside. Which made Negan hide you behind him as he looked out the window. It was the familiar trucks, The saviors were back.
Getting back to The Snactaury, you and Negan got to finally explore what was talked about when alone in that house together.

Negan x teen!reader - friends become family
Tumblr media
can you writes more depressed reader x rick/negan i reader your other work and i just loved them <3 - anon💜
TW: mentions of depression, thoughts of wanting to disappear and self harm
This wasn’t the world you were born into, this was the life you thought you were going to have when you grew up.
You were born into this world, maybe you should have been used to it, but your parents always told you that it wasn’t going to last forever.
They told you stories about the old world, what it was like, and promised you that it was going to go right back to that.
Then the world tore them from you, right in front of your own eyes, and it left you all alone until Gabriel and Aaron stumbled across you and brought you back to Alexandria with them.
But it wasn’t home.
Nowhere was home anymore, despite how much they tried to connect with you, make you feel at home, it just wasn’t home and it never would be.
You spent most of your time trying to find a place to hide from them, they always found you, and you remembered the one place Michonne told you to stay away from.
The cell block, warning you to never go in there.
You made your way down the steps and knelt down by the door, quietly picking the lock and you pushed it open before slipping inside.
Closing the door, you turned around and walked over to the corner, sitting down.
“Well, not that I’m not thankful for the company but I get the feeling since you picked that lock you shouldn’t be in here.”
You looked up, finding a man standing against the cell bars as he looked at you.
“Got a name?”
You shrugged a little bit, looking back down again.
“Alright, I’ll call you kid.”
“Not a kid…” you grumbled.
“Well apparently you don’t have a name so your shit outta luck there kid, why’re you here? Cause no offence but I’m gonna be the one getting it in the ass if they find you here.”
You looked at him, resting your chin on your knees.
“Don’t tell them…”
“Well im not fucking stupid, course I’m not going to tell them.”
He rested his arms between the gaps of the bars, and he glanced up to the window before turning his attention back towards you.
“Names Negan.”
You nodded your head, letting you know that you had heard him.
You didn’t stay long, you didn’t answer any of his questions before you left, locking the door before finding somewhere else to go.
But it soon became a daily occurrence, you would turn up at the cell between certain times, knowing the routines of when they brought him food.
Negan would talk, he didn’t like sitting in silence, and you would just listen to him, or read from one of the books he would slide under the cell bars for you.
You did eventually tell him your name, but he still liked to annoy you and refused to use it.
Today was no different, you came in, locked the door and walked over to your corner.
“Hey.”
Negan sat up from where he had been laid reading and he looked at you.
Negan swung his legs over his cot, and he rested his arms on his knees.
“Kid? What’s up?”
You shrugged a little bit, resting your head against the stone wall.
“Now don’t get me wrong, I love the fact you break into here and barely say a whole sentence to me, but this shit isn’t normal for you.”
You turned around, looking over at him.
“Do you ever feel alone…?” You asked quietly.
“Yeah, sometimes. But I only got myself to blame for that, I know that. I did shit things and it made me alone.”
“What did you do?”
Negan sighed, looking down at his hands.
He explained everything to you, what he had done, the saviours, the lives he had taken and everything he had done before landing in that cell.
When he finished he looked at you, giving you a little grin.
“See? Shit person.”
“My dad used to say that sometimes good people did bad things because they didn’t have a choice…”
He hummed a little bit.
“Yeah? What if that person is just a shit person?”
You shrugged a little bit, turning away to go back to resting your head against the stone wall.
Negan sighed heavily, getting up and he made his way to the front of the call, sitting down in the corner, resting his head on the bars.
“Your parents know you come down here and see a fucked up asshole like me?”
You didn’t reply and Negan looked at you, he heard you sniffled a little bit, and saw you wipe your eyes with the backs of your hands.
“Shit kid, I’m sorry.”
You turned around, keeping your back to him.
“Fuck, come on kid, I’m so sorry I had no idea. I shouldn’t have said anything.”
He sighed again.
“You know I had wife.”
You turned around and looked at him, wiping your eyes again.
“Yeah, yeah. I had a wife, I bet you’re looking at me thinking how can this old bastard have had a wife? Let me tell you she was… she was so beautiful.”
“What happened to her…?”
Negan smiled sadly.
“She died too, cancer.”
“I’m sorry…”
“Yeah, so am I.”
You looked at the door before turning back to him.
“What was she like?”
Negan smiled, and he told you about his wife Lucille, what she was like, and how things were with them all while smiling as he recalled the memories.
Sometimes his smile would fall, and then he’d smile when he told you another happy memory.
“What about your mom and dad?”
“They were optimistic things were going to change… happy… despite everything…”
You told him a few stories, and he listened carefully, not wanting to interrupt you since this was the longest you had spoken to him for.
But you seemed to realise this and quickly jumped up, taking the photo back from him and you left.
You didn’t turn up for the next few days, and he went back into his routine of solitude.
You finally came back one evening, the only giveaway it was you was the small click of the lock as you closed the door once.
“Hey kid.”
You had a lantern, and a bag and you walked over to the cell, sitting down by the bars, you passed him a few of the candles and he walked over to take them.
Negan put others back on your side of the bars, and he set one to the side, taking the lighter you had given him so he could light it and went to hand it back but you shook your head.
“You know the check my shit right? Make sure I have nothing I shouldn’t have.”
“Oh…”
You took the lighter back, and the spare candles to put back in your bag.
It added some light to the place, helping you see around better.
Negan rested his back on the wall, staring at the window on the opposite wall.
“What made you come by so late?” He asked.
You shrugged a little bit, resting your arms on your knees.
Negan turned to look at you, and he could slightly see inside of your bag, and he noticed that it seemed to have food inside, some water.
He furrowed his brows.
“Going somewhere?”
You didn’t say anything.
“Where are you going?”
Again you ignored his question, instead you pulled out a book, and you passed it through the bars to him so he could take it.
“Tell me about the old world?” You asked quietly.
“What do you wanna know?”
“Everything I guess…”
Negan thought for a moment, and he told you about the places that he had been to, what they looked like, about normal schools, aeroplanes, whatever came to mind.
You asked him questions, curious about wanting to know more, and hours passed like that.
You shared some of your food and water with him, and you set your bag down next to the bars of his cell, laying yourself down.
“Come on kid, you can’t sleep in here.”
“I don’t want to go anywhere else…”
“Why not?”
Negan got up, heading to his cot he grabbed all the bedding on there, brining it over and he shoved a blanket through the bars for you, and made his bed on the other side.
You stared up at the ceiling, covering yourself with the blanket before turning your back to him.
“They pity me…”
Negan didn’t miss the slight growl in your tone when you said that.
“They all try to act like they’re my parents… they… they never leave me alone and I hate it…”
“You hate having people around you?”
“I hate people who pretend… they only pity me… they don’t actually care.. just see some teenager with no family…”
Negan nodded his head, but didn’t say anything.
“They’re not my family… my family is dead… I’m alone…”
“Now come on, don’t spout that shit. That’s not true, you’re not alone.”
You didn’t say anything else and he sighed.
“Okay yeah, maybe they pity you. How do you know I don’t pity you?”
“You don’t look at me like they do… it’s why I come here… they look at me and.. and they see right through me… you actually see me…”
Negan didn’t tell you to leave, it was late now, and he wasn’t sure how safe it was out there for you to be wondering around in the dark.
You fell asleep there, and you slept through the sound of the door opening.
What woke you up was the sound of arguing and you slowly sat up.
“I told you not to come down here!” Michonne snapped at you.
You blinked a few times in confusion.
“Hey! Leave the kid alone!” Negan growled at her.
“You shut up, you don’t get a say in this. Gabriel take (Y/N) outside and place an extra guard in front of this place.”
Gabriel walked over to take your stuff and you quickly took it back, and he stopped, raising his hands as he smiled softly at you.
“Come along now, we should leave.”
You looked over at Negan and he gave a small nod his his head, letting you know it was okay to go.
You left your stuff behind, leaving the room, making a quick get away to another one of your hiding places, though it never took them long to find you there.
Aaron was the one to come looking for you.
“Hey…”
He walked into the small room you had called your home since you had arrived here.
“You know why we told you to stay away from the cell right? What Negan had done?”
You nodded.
“Then you understand why we want you to stay away from him? He’ll get inside your head, use you for his own benefit, to manipulate you into helping him escape or something along those lines.”
You stayed quiet, only getting up to leave and Aaron sighed.
You wanted nothing to do with anybody from the community, you never spoke to any of them, the most they got out of you was your name.
You went back to that cell, but the guard at the door looked at you, and you sighed.
Sitting on the steps, you stayed there all day.
Nobody really spared you a glance, it was like you were there but you weren’t really there all at the same time.
Maybe you would be better off if you weren’t there, it’s not like anybody would notice.
You didn’t have much, so it’s not like they’d even notice you were missing.
Getting up, you went back to your makeshift home and stayed there for the rest of the day, lost in your own thoughts.
How you were alone.
You had nobody.
Nobody cared about you.
Nobody loved you.
Nobody would miss you.
The only person who would notice would’ve been Negan but since you weren’t allowed to see him he’d forget about you too.
So you made up your mind, you were going to disappear.
You left that night, making your way back to the cell to see the guard was asleep and you snuck in like always to find Negan was asleep.
You sighed a little, and you looked at the guard before turning to Negan.
“Thank you…” you whispered.
“For what?” He mumbled out.
You jumped a little bit.
Negan was looking at you and you shrugged slightly.
“For being my friend…”
Negan quickly sat up, and he walked over, resting a hand on the bars.
“What’re you doing?”
“I.. I have to go away…”
Negans eyes widened a little bit, he saw your arm when your sleeve rolled up as you reached up to wipe some of your tears.
He saw the bloodied bandage wrapped around it.
“Listen me kid, now Im not saying that you’re gonna do what I think you’re gonna do, but I’m telling you right now down you fucking dare.”
“I’m sorry…”
“(Y/N)!”
You quickly left, forgetting to close the main door, and you ran away.
You didn’t think, you just went to the first place you could think off, the tallest building in Alexandria, and you stood up there.
You looked down at the dark streets, and you took a small breath, turning your back on it, facing the way you had come from.
You didn’t realise that your commotion had alerted the guard who had alerted the council, but you could hear the pounding of footsteps getting closer.
Gabriel, Aaron and Michonne stood there.
“Come down.” Michonne said.
You shook your head.
“Please, let us talk about whatever is going on. What makes you feel like you must do this.” Gabriel said softly.
You shook your head again, shuffling back and they all tried to branch out, but nobody dared to get any closer.
“Just talk to us.” Aaron whispered.
“No…”
“Then who will you talk to? If there’s somebody out there that can stop you who is? Who do you want to speak to?” Michonne asked.
“Please, we don’t want you to do this..”
You didn’t reply, and suddenly Michonne ran off while Gabriel and Aaron watched you.
You didn’t know what they were doing and you were trying to work up the courage so you could see your family again, so you could take those last few steps back.
A few minutes later Michonne came back, and she shoved Negan forward making him stumble a little.
“Fucking hell, push me any further and I’ll be going over that edge.”
“That would be the day.” Michonne scoffed.
She gestured for the other two to back away, and they all walked away slightly.
Negan looked up at you.
“Hey, let’s talk, yeah?”
“I don’t want to talk…”
He hummed a little.
“Do you want to jump?”
“I… I don’t know…”
Negan sighed, and he looked up at you, holding out his hand.
“Come down (Y/N)…”
“I can’t…”
“Why not?”
You didn’t say anything.
Negan sighed, lowering his hand, bringing it up to run over his head as he tried to figure out what to do.
“You know, I wouldn’t forget you. I’d remember.”
You looked at him.
“You think everybody will forget you right? You’ll be able to disappear like you want right?”
You nodded.
“Hate to break it to you kid, but that’s not true. I wouldn’t, I’ll always remember you. We’re friends right?”
“Yeah…”
“Then let me help you, that’s what friends do. They help each other, and I’m not about to stand here and watch you throw your life away. You’re not alone, and I know it’s hard.”
“Does it get easier…?”
“No. It doesn’t. But you learn to live with that pain, and you just grow around it, but you have to be willing to just try, if you take that step, if you let yourself go, you’ll never know what will happen in your future.”
You shrugged a little.
“I don’t have one…”
“You don’t know that. How about we find out, together? Yeah?”
“What if you leave too…?”
Negan smiled softly at you.
“I’m not going anywhere kid.”
“You can’t say that…”
“Maybe not, but I don’t give a shit. I mean I’m in a cell, do you really think I’m running off anywhere?”
You shook your head.
“Come on, come down now.”
You looked down at the ground, and Negan took this as his chance to run forward and grab you, pulling you down.
He fell over with a heavy thud and slight groan of pain, and you fell to the side, sitting on your knees as you cried.
Negan sat up, pulled you into a hug, placing his hand on the back of your head.
“I’m sorry…” you cried quietly.
“It’s alright… you’re okay…”
Negan held you tightly, sighing heavily, running his hand up and down your back.
“Don’t you ever try anything like this again…”
Negan placed a hand on your arm.
“And stop hurting yourself… you don’t deserve this pain…” he whispered

My World (Negan Smith x Reader !DAUGHTER OF RICK) !PART 4!
Tumblr media
It was the middle of the night and you had left the room while Negan was sleeping to get something to drink as your throat was abnormally dry and you didn't feel like waiting Negan up to escort you just to get a glass of water. You were walking down the hall groggily, a yawn escaping your lips as your gaze was on the floor. But as you turned a corner your gaze fell upon a pair of shoes at the end of the hall. You slowly looked up and furrowed your eyebrows as you saw a unfamiliar woman with a gun in her hand.
You froze in place and stared at her with a look of confusion. She stared back, her eyes wide before he aimed her gun at you. You gasped loudly before she began to shoot. You were able to duck yourself behind the wall at the corner before any real damage was done.
But you fell to the ground and shrieked in pain as you felt a searing pain in your left shoulder. Your hand went up and you immediately felt a wet feeling seeping through your fingers. You turned your head and saw blood staining your shirt and hand crimson red. Your eyes were wide and horrified as you had never bled so much.
But you were quickly brought back to reality as you heard her footsteps walking down the hall and to your direction. You quickly stumbled onto your feet and began running down the hall. When the footsteps stopped the shooting began again. You were ducking and moving erratically as bullets flew by you. You ran past another corner and when you did you saw a bunch of men running past you with guns. You turned your head but when they looked past the corner you watched as their bodies fell to the floor before they could even aim. You screamed and continued running as fast as you could.
As you were running you pushed through a door and continued to run. The sounds of multiple firing behind you went further and further away. Your adrenaline was taking over as you ran and you barely acknowledged where you were going, you were just running... All up until you bumped into somebody. You gasped and stumbled back and the person grabbed your uninjured shoulder.
"What the hell are you doing?! Why are you out here?!" The person hisses and you recognized the voice... It was Simon. You stared up at him with wide eyes and you were unable to speak. Simon gently pinched the hole on your shirt where your wound is to examine it. "I'll take you to the infirmary." Simon says as he gently grabs your upper arm and begins pulling you away. You still heard the sound of shooting but it was far away now.
You turned your head, afraid that the shooter would appear behind you. "You're safe. We have men on the shooter as we speak. They should take them down soon." Simon says. He was right. After about another minute or two the sound of gunfire stopped.
Simon pulled you into the infirmary and Dr Carson looked at the two of you. "Get her stitched up." Simon says while forcing me to sit down on the exam table. Dr Carson's eyes widened when he saw me, knowing how serious this was because of who I was. He nodded and quickly began getting out his surgical tools.
"I'll go and inform Negan." Simon says to you. You look at him nervously before nodding. You knew you were in deep shit. Simon then left the room.
After about thirty minutes Dr Carson was finished stitching up your wound. Luckily there was an exit wound so it was a simple procedure. But your shirt was drenched in blood. Dr Carson had to cut some parts of it so he could wrap a bandage around your wounded shoulder but just enough to give him access to the parts of your shoulders he needed to wrap up but enough to keep you covered as well.
"How are you feeling?" Dr Carson asks. "...Woozy." You say. Not to mention it hurt like hell. Once the adrenaline wore off in your body you were left with a searing pain in your shoulder and it was even more agonizing when he stitched it up. Since it was the apocalypse he didn't have drugs on hand to make it any less painful so you had to sit there and deal with the pain.
"That's common. You'll be alright as long as you keep the stitches clean. Here, I'll help you up." Dr Carson says while holding out his hand for you. You take his hand and he helps you off the examination table. "Thank you." You say softly. Just as he was about to respond the door to the infirmary burst open to show Negan in a rage. In a blink of an eye, he was in front of you and grabbing your wrists a little too harshly for your liking.
"What is wrong with you?! Do you have a death wish or something?!" Negan hisses, his face just inches from yours. Your eyes widen, "Negan I-" He interrupts you. "I wake up to the sound of gunfire. You're gone, I get worried and Simon comes to me and tells me you've been shot." Negan says while shaking you a bit. "Do you understand how terrified I was?! I thought you were dead! You're goddamn lucky it was only your shoulder!" Negan shouts.
"Why the hell were you out?! Why didn't you wake me up?!" Negan growls. You stare at him wide-eyed momentarily before speaking up, "I-I... I just wanted some water..." You say in a low tone of voice. "Water? That's it? You got shot for water?" Negan says in a rough and angry tone of voice. You looked down at the ground and frowned. "I'm sorry..." You mumbled just loud enough for him to hear. Negan looks down at you before sighing deeply. He looks off to the side and he seems lost in thought. He then looks back at you before grabbing the back of your head and pulling it to his chest. He sighs against you as he holds you tight.
"I coulda lost you..." He kissed your head and took in your scent, "I've never been so scared in my entire life..." He mutters, just barely enough for you to hear it before he pulls you into a very tight hug. You hug him back but it doesn't take long for your shoulder to throb from the pain of being against something.
You let out a hiss before pulling back and rubbing your shoulder gently. Negan gave you a pitiful but also angry look. "Let's go. I'm bringing you back to bed." Negan says while grabbing your other shoulder and pulling you along with him. You both walked to your room, his hand gently on your shoulder as you walked. You didn't speak, neither did he. There wasn't much to say. He said enough.
When you got back to your bedroom he ushered you inside and got you into bed. "I have to do some damage control... I'm going to have somebody at the door. But I'll be back. I promise." He says. You nodded and he kissed your head before leaving.
You slept. All you did was sleep. Your mind and body were exhausted so all you did... Was sleep. But then you woke up, god knows when to Negan shuffling around the room and gathering things. You sit up and wince as your shoulder doesn't feel any better. Negan hears you rustling around in bed and he turns around and smiles at you. "Hey there darlin'. He says while walking towards you and sitting down on the bed next to you. "How do you feel?" He asks.
"Sore..." You answer while rubbing your shoulder gently. He nodded, "I figured..." He murmured while brushing some of your hair behind your ear. You noticed he was wearing his whole getup and had a gun in his holster and Lucille was leaning against the wall next to the door. "Where are you going...?" You asked. Negan stared at you for a minute before looking away and clicking his tongue. "To see Rick and his people," Negan says. You furrow your eyebrows. "I'm coming." You say. "The hell you are," Negan says right after you finish speaking and he looks at you.
"Why can't I come?" You ask. "Because what we're doing is not pretty sweetheart." He says. Your breathing gets shallow, "...What are you going to do?" You ask in a low tone of voice. He swallows hard and sighs, "The one who shot you and killed a bunch of my men was from Rick's group. I've also gotten intel that Rick has been grouping up with people and teaming up against us. So... I'm just going there to negotiate." Negan says.
"'Negotiate'? What the hell does that mean?" You ask as you feel like you already know what he means. He stares at you. Just fucking stares. "Negan!" You say a bit too loudly. He sighs, "We're going to give them an option. Either they submit to us or we kill them all." Your eyes widened as you process this information.
"Negan... Y-You can't! You'd be killing my family!" You shouted. "I'm your family." He says. "Yes... You are. But my dad and brother are also a part of my family!" You say with anger in your voice. "Well, they shouldn't have screwed me over," Negan says while standing up. "Negan, don't do this... Please. I'm begging you." You say while grabbing his wrist to stop him from leaving.
He stared down at you. You could tell he was conflicted on doing what he thought was right and his love for you.
"Please... I just got them back..." You say just above a whisper. He stared at you for another second before turning his head away and sighing deeply. "I'm sorry." He then pulled his wrist out of your grip and quickly walked to the door. "NEGAN NO!" You screamed while shooting up out of bed but by the time you got to the door he had already slammed it shut and locked it from the outside.
You banged on the door and screamed for him to let you out. You shook the doorknob but nothing worked. Tears rolled down your cheeks in grief and frustration and your body shook with fury.
You tried everything over the last half an hour. You tried to use something in the room to break down the door but all that left you was the person guarding your door to yell at you to quit it. You checked the window and saw you were too high up. You would definitely twist or break your ankle if you dropped down.
But what choice did you have?
You opened the window and sat on the edge of the window. You took deep breaths as you encouraged yourself to do this. You took one last breath before throwing yourself out the window... And just as expected... You twisted your ankle. You let out a cry of pain on impact which most likely alerted the person outside your door, so you had to be quick.
You quickly got to your feet and you began to hurriedly limp yourself to the nearest car. You got into the car and quickly began to hotwire it... When you were a teenager you hung around the wrong crowd and luckily learned to hotwire a car.
When you finally got the car started that's when you noticed the person guarding your door running outside and calling for you. You quickly put the car into drive and got out of there with the person chasing after the car before giving up and running back inside.
You hauled ass over there and by the time you got there, there was gunfire and people dead. Your breath hitched as the gunfire stopped... But the Saviors were still standing.
"No..." You murmured before getting out of the car. The Saviors pointed their guns at you before realizing who you were and lowering their guns. You limped around the town until you see a sight that shook you to your core....
Your father was on his knees, as was Carl... And Negan was about to swing his bat to the back of Carl's head. "NOO!' You shrieked which made Negan stop in place and look at you with a face of horror... You both just stared at each other with looks of horror on your faces. ...How could he? He knew how much Carl meant to you... How much they both meant to you.
But then suddenly a tiger came out of nowhere and killed one of Negan's men. Gunfire arose and you quickly ducked and hid behind a car. Your breathing was heavy and tears pricked your vision.
But now was not the time to cry.
One of the Saviors dropped dead next to you and you let out a scream as blood splattered onto your face. But then you noticed he had a gun... And you remembered your father teaching you how to use a pistol when you grew up. So you grabbed the gun for protection but you didn't dare aim it at anyone.
Gunfire flew past you and almost hit you. You realized this wasn't the best place to hide so you got up and began to quickly limp away but that was when someone grabbed you and lifted you up which made you drop your gun. You screamed, kicked, and flailed around. The person holding you hissed and said, "Stop it!" And you realized it was Negan which made you freak out even more.
You began to punch his arm but he didn't flinch or release his grip on you. He just carried you to a truck, threw you into the back of it, and slammed the door shut. You tried to get out but he locked it... This son of a bitch and locking you out...
The car began to drive and that's when the tears finally fell. You sniffled and cried yourself into a ball... Did you feel weak? Yes. But at least Carl and your father were safe... You hoped.
The car came to a stop and a few of Negan's men came and grabbed you. You continued your screaming, flailing, and spitting while they carried you into a cell. They threw you inside and locked the door. You sat on the floor and continued to cry. Your ankle and shoulder throbbed and your heart ached with grief...
How could he...?
Hours passed and finally, the door opened. You didn't look up, you knew who it was.
The silence was deafening.
Finally he spoke.
"I did what I had to do." He spoke in a low voice. You didn't say a word, you just glared at the ground with tears in your eyes. "Y/N... We have rules... You have to understand that." He says. You wanted to yell and scream but your voice ached and you just didn't have the energy to fight anymore.
He let out a sigh before turning and taking a step and you finally spoke, "I'll never forgive you for this." You say while glaring up at his back.
He turned his head slightly to the side to glance at you from over his shoulder. You could see the pain on his face.
"I can live with that." He says.
He then finally walked out and shut the door, leaving you in darkness with your thoughts...

Warnings: Negan's mouth, as usual Negan came and stood beside you, watching the two ragged men walk away down the sidewalk alongside Aaron and then disappear. He slipped his hands into his pockets. "You brought them in?" he asked.
You nodded, still staring after their retreating figures. "Yeah. They were starving to death out there. No shelter either."
"So, you were out there alone... with them?" Negan asked pointedly.
You turned and looked at him, lifting an eyebrow. "And?"
He sighed and shook his head, shrugging a little. "You're very kind, doll," he said. "Someday, it's gonna get you killed if you aren't careful."
"And you're—what?—worried about me?" you asked, mildly shocked.
Negan cleared his throat and shrugged again. Before he could say anything, you had your knife unsheathed and at his throat. The movement was so fast he hardly saw it. "Oh—okay. Point taken," he said, the blade still tickling at his Adam's apple. He couldn't help smiling.
"Yeah, I think I'll be okay," you said, slipping the knife back into your sheath. "I don't need you to protect me, Negan."
Negan cleared his throat and ran a hand back through his hair. "Gotta say... that got me all tingly in my pants," he said with a grin. "Wanna do it again sometime?"
You rolled your eyes. "Jesus Christ, Negan..." You looked over at him. "Seek help."
He watched you walk away with a laugh. "What? What'd I say?!"
Prompt: "You're very kind. Someday, it's going to get you killed." A/N: Oh my GOD, Negan! XD I swear, when I started writing this it was just going to be a sweet one where he was worried about the reader and THEN HIS MOUTH SHOWED UP lmao I have no control over it!

Could I possibly request a little Negan x hispanic!Reader? Reader has 3 kids from before the apocalypse and the toddler seems not to be scared of Negan?
Wandering Babies
Negan x plus size reader
When the ruthless leader of the Saviours bumps into a lost toddler in his city, his life gets changed forever, especially when his protective mother shows up.
Warnings: Negan being Negan, swearing, implied future relationship, fluff
WC: 1.3k
A/N: Hi nonnie! I don't usually write y/ns with a specific race since I like to remain as open as I can with them but I did give her kids traditionally Spanish names so I hope that was ok!

“Well well well, what the fuck do we have here?” The sun shone brightly behind the giant of a man, casting his face in shadow. To any normal person, it would have scared the absolute shit out of them, especially with the looming threat of Lucille across his shoulders, but the toddler in front of him was smiling the whole time.
His big brown eyes focused on the man in front of him, looking at him in a way that only babies could. Kneeling down, Negan came face to face with the child. “The fuck do you want?” He said like he was addressing someone below him but the two year old just burst out into giggles, obviously finding this whole thing hilarious.
“I think that’s the new-comer’s kid.” Simon chose that moment to speak up and caused Negan to roll his eyes.
“Yeah I fuckin figured that.” He growled, not taking his eyes off the kid who was now inching closer. He wasn’t quite steady on his feet and wobbled dangerously with each step he took. Unconsciously, Negan’s free hand shot out and held the surprisingly plump belly of the child, keeping him upright. Tiny hands grabbed at his wrist but didn’t attempt to push him away. Instead he touched Negan's arm, pulling at the sleeve of his leather jacket.
“I’m just wondering how the fuck someone could lose a goddamn kid.” The toddler continued to fiddle with the dark fabric, Negan only stopping him when he tried to put it in his mouth.
Simon shrugged behind his boss. “I mean she’s got three of em and she’s working in the kitchens and the infirmary.” That shocked the older man. Working two jobs was unheard of in the Sanctuary, one job could provide more than enough for someone and their family.
The kid suddenly released his wrist and raised his arms over his head, opening and closing his chubby hands in a clear sign. Releasing a deep sigh, Negan relented. He shoved Lucille into the awaiting arms of his second in command and picked up the child with an ease of someone who has done it many times before. His little head tucked into the crook of his neck, his fluffy brown hair tickling Negan’s nose.
“How about we go find your mother huh.” The toddler nodded. Just as Negan took a step forward, already planning a very angry speech to the boy’s mom, a woman ripped out of the building and his breath caught in his throat.
Her eyes were wide with panic but that wasn’t what caught his attention. She was gorgeous, all thick curves and fat like a Greek goddess. She blazed with anxiety and rage, poised for a fight against anyone that might have taken her child. “Tomas!” The child’s head shot back, clipping Negan’s chin as he did.
“Mama!” She spun and locked eyes with the big bad leader of the Saviors and shamefully, he felt his knees buckle. Tomas squirmed in his hold, eager to reach for his mother but Negan was frozen in place. Two other children trailed behind her like ducklings, a pair of twin girls that looked to be 8 or 9 years old.
As she drew closer, he could see the details of her face, the scars and blemishes but more importantly, the huge dark circles that marred her otherwise perfect visage. She stopped a yard away from him, quickly shoving her girls behind her back. “Thank you for finding Tomas, he has a bad habit of wandering off when I’m not looking.” Her voice was steady, he supposed from years of practice.
“He is a very sweet fucking kid.” One of the girls gasped, her hand coming up to her mouth in a comical expression of shock.
“He said a bad word, mama.” The other whispered just loud enough for Negan to hear.
“You shouldn’t let your fucking kids run around without supervision, that’s how they get killed.” Her murderous glare set itself on Simon as she took another step forward. Negan could see what she was planning to do, grab Tomas and then go after the tall man.
But before she could make her move, Negan did. “How about you go and fuck off, I need to have a fucking conversation with this lovely woman and you are really killing the mood with your fuck ugly face.” There was a brief moment of tense silence before Simon thrust Lucille into his free arm and turned with a huff to walk away, muttering under his breath.
The woman breathed a sigh of relief, her walls crumbling slightly but they were quickly built back up. “Could I please have my son now?” Tomas was lifted from his arms but Negan realised he missed the weight of the toddler against his chest. He suddenly felt a hell of a lot colder than he did before.
The boy gave out a great big sigh as he settled into his mother’s bust, utterly exhausted from his escape attempt. Two little heads poked out from behind her legs, studying the man that had been holding their brother. “Well who are these two pretty girls?” Shyly, they clung to their mom’s jeans, not answering him.
“Isabella and Lucia.” She responded for them.
“Two fucking gorgeous names for two gorgeous girls.” They smiled bashfully but didn’t try to hide again, he took that as a win. “And which one of you are going to tell me your mama’s name? I bet her name is just as beautiful as her.” He raised his head to look at said woman, expecting her to be as flattered as her daughters but instead he was met with a glare even dirtier than the one she gave Simon.
“Oh now that is a dirty damn look! And I would be lying if I said it didn’t turn me the fuck on.” Her jaw ticked with annoyance but that only made his smile grow wider across his stubbled cheeks. He gave an exaggerated shiver which made the girls giggle. “Wowie your mother is goddamn scary.”
“Yeah! Once she kicked Derek’s dad in his private place because he said something mean to her.” Isabella finally spoke up, her little voice gaining confidence. Lucia nodded along with her sister in agreement, still too shy to say anything yet.
“Well Derek’s dad deserved it for being such an asshole to your lovely mother. Now how about we go have some fucking dinner and keep disguising how amazing she is.” Those seemed to be the magic words because the twins emerged fully from behind said woman’s legs and ran at him. With absolutely no hesitation, Negan dropped Lucille beside him, kicking the bat away so neither of the girls would accidentally hurt themselves.
Just like their brother, they each took hold of one of his jacket sleeves and yanked. “Can we have spaghetti?” “Do you have ice cream?” “Mama, can we go with him?” “Mama please!” “Mama!” They screamed in quick succession, not giving either adult any time to answer before asking their next question. Negan gave her a victorious look.
He could tell she wanted to say no but her girls had finally opened up to someone new for the first time since the world ended and, even though she loved them, she could use a break from their clingy behaviour. “Fine but no complaining about an early bedtime tonight. Remember mama has to work early tomorrow.” They exploded into excited shouts and began tugging the older man forward, eager to talk to him.
Negan let them pull him along but he looked back at the woman that had so entirely captured his attention, throwing her a wink. “We’ll stay up as late as you want and don’t worry about your job mama, I’ve got that all covered. You just need to sit back and relax tonight and let me do all the work.”
Her eyes widened and then darkened with a barely hidden lust at the double entendre and he just chuckled deep in his chest. He’d gotten her and maybe, just maybe, a new chance at life with this little family, all because Tomas liked to wander.

Note
I’m having more thoughts, I think negan can read people extremely easily and while he’s trying to intimidate you with lucille he notices you acting a bit strange. He’s very quickly able to tell you’re turned on by him waving his bat around, and damn it excites him too
“You,” Negan lifts the bat up to your chin. A wet gasp, involuntarily leaves your throat. Woah.
“Name.” He demands. Pushing the weapon into you just another centimetre.
You answer through clenched teeth. Looking him in the eye for every syllable.
He has this constant smug smirk on his face. He’s handsome. Too handsome for what an asshole he is. What a terrible person he’s been to you and your community. But the way he’s looking at you right now, it’s going straight between your legs. Hot and fuzzy and something almost shameful. You know you’re cheeks are warm.
Realization crosses the older man’s face. Even more smug than a moment ago, noticing how flustered you are. And not because you’re scared. Well… not only because you’re scared.
He leans in really close, whispering so no one else around you will hear.
“Am I turning you on right now?”
You scowl but you can feel your face get even hotter. Fuck.
“Ohmygod. I’m right aren’t I? You’re getting wet at the sight of miss Lucille here, aren’t you?”
You turn your head to the side. Trying to stop looking him in the eyes. The gorgeous brown eyes that seem to stare right into your soul. He grabs your jaw and roughly tugs it back.
“Speak when spoken to.” His voice is stern. You’ve heard it before. He’s not fucking around.
“Yes,” you can’t believe you admit it. But it must have done you a favour because he releases his grip on your jaw and the angry expression on his face returns to his usual, baring his pearly whites.
“Dwight, get this one in the truck. I want ‘em stayin’ at the Sanctuary this week.” He winks at your wide eyed expression and leans in for the last bit. Lips brushing your ear. “Better pack some bags. Gonna be a long week, sweetheart.”

LOVE MADE ME CRAZY | N.S.
pairing: negan smith x fem!reader
word count: 1.3k
warnings: forbidden love but that goes without saying, not very plot specific since it's been a while since I've watched it, negan isn't very canon specific either tbh
summary: falling for negan while he's still being kept in his cell in alexandria has you questioning your sanity
Tumblr media
You had to have lost your mind, somewhere in the process of constantly hovering between life and death, you lost your mind, your sanity, your ability to reason. It was the only logical, if not sensical, reason you could find for the feelings that very unwillingly swerved around your heart, the thoughts that floated about your mind filling you with a nauseating, overwhelming conclusion. You were falling for Negan, of all people, the monster you’d run from, the person you’d labeled quite fittingly as the bogey-man, the very man you’d spent nights wishing death upon had now taken over your very being which is why you were sure, there was not a single doubt in your mind that you had surely gone mad, absolutely insane, utterly ludicrous, completely crazy, and you had not the slightest idea what to do about it.
You were just barely aware of the people sitting down at your table, the soup in your bowl the last thing on your mind as you spooned it around thoughtlessly, once again allowing yourself a brief, all but fleeting, second to think about the small and meaningless gestures that led you to your current predicament. You’d asked Michonne to place you on Negan duty, dropping in a few times a day to give him food, make sure he was still robbing the group of their Alexandrian air, and you’d been doing exactly that- but how were you to know that you’d let yourself find more in the silly meetings than you were meant to.
“You doing okay over there, Y/n?” Gabriel’s voice stole your attention, your eyes meeting his over the table as he sat down with his own bowl of watery soup, something cooked up from the last of your food resources. “Still on Negan duty?” he asked quite casually, no idea how much you dreaded the new topic of conversation. You groaned softly to yourself, hoping he’d think the frustration was due to having to be with Negan and not because you couldn’t, you pushed your bowl to the side deciding that you might as well give in and go see him instead of sitting here in your own torture.
You felt sort of awful leaving Gabriel without an explanation, not missing his confused smile when you stood up and left, following the familiar path to where Negan was held, smiling at the person keeping guard as he let you in, giving him your silent permission to leave you to yourself as you walked in to find Negan on the floor, looking up at the ceiling while reading a book you’d smuggled in for him.
“That you, doll?” he mused, knowing by the hastened footsteps and sort of relieved sigh that it was , the creak of the cell gate met with the little kick you delivered to his foot being further confirmation. “Good morning,” he breathed, accepting your hand to help him up, guiding him to sit down onto the makeshift bed with another sigh.
“Morning,” you hummed, hoping he wouldn’t point out the frown that had yet to leave your lips, not much being said when you took an illegal apple from your jersey pocket as you leaned back against the wall.
“What’s wrong?” he frowned as well, brows raised as he took you in, unsure what was the reason for your behaviour, unsure what could make you this glum even when visiting him was clearly the best part of your day- which was something he didn’t think with arrogance, it was something you’d said one night when you were too tired to realize what exactly you were saying, what you were admitting, but it felt good in the moment- felt good letting him in, even just slightly.
“Nothing,” you lied, annoyed that he was able to read you that well or rather that you were so comfortable letting him read you that well to be more specific. You didn’t realize how comfortable you were, leaning into his side, head fallen against his arm, no doubt shocking the man with the gesture.
“Is that so?” he scoffed at you, forcing you from your hiding place, rough hands acting far too gentle as he cupped your cheek to keep you in place, thumb brushing over a fresh scratch that was truly long forgotten on your behalf, at least, but it brought a new frown to Negan’s lips, forehead creasing at the sight of it. “What’s this?” he paused, knowing what you’d say before the thought even formed in your head. “I won’t accept the word “nothing” for an answer, so don’t even try,” he reprimanded, and your cheeks warmed under his touch, how very well dare he know you that well.
“I was stupid, got in the middle of a bunch of guys boosting their egos, it’s not as bad as it looks,” you promised, not sure why it was so important that he believed you, but he didn’t, of course, he didn’t.
“Looks pretty damn bad,” he noted and he’d smile at the way you melted in his touch, he’d absolutely relish in it if he weren’t on a mission. “Is that why you’re acting this way?”
“What way?” you demanded, contradicting yourself when you folded your fingers around his wrist, thumb brushing up and down the rugged skin, almost as if using him to ground you, keep you here when all you wanted was to get lost in him.
“Don’t do that,” he sighed, surprising you when he pulled you closer, robbing you of your moment of bliss where you could dwell in his intoxicating grip. “Don’t try and pull one over on me. You’re acting all strange and shit and it’s downright frightening.”
“I just needed to come to see you,” you admitted, quickly opening your eyes at the realization that you’d closed them, too caught up in him to notice how freely your body reacted to him without considering the consequences. “Is that okay?”
“More than okay, darling,” he scoffed, seeing the hesitance in your movement when you took his hand away from your face, looking down to your hands as they stayed tangled together for a minute, seeming so perfectly fitted to each other that it was sort of laughable. You knew what he was, knew what being entwined with him meant and you knew that it had to be some cruel twist of fate that you had to fall for a man who embodied everything you were against, but he made it so damn easy. “You’d tell me if it was something else, wouldn't you? If I needed to defend your honour or something, you’d let a man know before just sending the bastard in here?” he teased, beaming at the sound of your laugh as it filled the otherwise empty cell, echoing the room and sifting through his body in an electrifying, deadly way.
“You defending my honour?” you scoffed, letting your head fall back to its place, his shoulder stiffening under you briefly but melting just like you melted against him. “Didn’t think you’d allow yourself such gestures of weakness, Negan,” he hummed, wiping the apple that you’d given him against his shirt, looking out through the miniature window that laid across from him, his only view of the beauty it promised outside, or so he thought before he got to see you every day.
“Neither did I,” he agreed, shaking his head to himself, sort of disbelieving, considering his own sanity at the warmth filling his body purely from having you at his side, having you against him, close to him.
It was an unfair turn of events, torturous in its nature because how could he ever remain a man of such horrendous evil when your very presence had his soul begging to return to purity, to goodness, to what he once was but could never be. He was half annoyed that he’d spend this long letting the new reality destroy him, rebuild him into something he could not recognize yet here you were making him want to do it all over again- one thing was quite certain though, the world had gone crazy, had shifted straight off its axes and so had the two of you.

Sweet Surrender
Negan Smith x reader
Tumblr media
Negan was always a man who knew what he wanted, and he wasn't afraid to take it. As the leader of the Saviors, he had an air of confidence and swagger that drew people to him, whether they liked it or not. And when he met you, he knew that he wanted you.
You were different than the other women he had encountered in the post-apocalyptic world. There was a strength and independence about you that he found irresistible. And though you resisted his advances at first, he was persistent in his pursuit.
He would find excuses to be near you, engaging you in conversation, trying to make you laugh. He would invite you to sit with him at meals, offering you the best of what the Sanctuary had to offer. And as much as you tried to resist, you found yourself drawn to him, unable to deny the attraction that simmered between you.
One night, as the two of you were alone in his room, he reached out and took your hand, pulling you closer to him. His eyes met yours, a smoldering intensity that sent shivers down your spine. And then his lips were on yours, fierce and demanding, taking what he wanted without apology.
You tried to pull away, to resist, but he was too strong, too determined. And slowly, you found yourself giving in to the heat that radiated from him, responding to his touch with equal fervor. He pressed you back onto the bed, his hands roaming over your body, igniting a fire that burned hot and bright.
It was as if he were pouring sugar on you, sweet and irresistible, and you couldn't get enough. And as the night wore on, you found yourself surrendering to him completely, swept away by the passion that consumed you both.
In the days that followed, you found yourself drawn back to him time and time again, unable to resist his magnetic pull. And though you knew that it was dangerous to be with him, that he was a man who demanded loyalty and obedience, you couldn't help but crave him.
For Negan, you were his sweetest addiction, the one thing that he couldn't get enough of. And as he held you in his arms, he knew that he would do anything to keep you by his side, no matter the cost.

Shower
summary: Negan and Y/N have a shower after a stressful day.
warning: MALE READER!! Smut, Oral (M receiving) Slight dirty talk, cocky!negan, submissive!reader, dominant!negan.
A/N: OMG. FIRST TIME EVER WRITING SMUT AND I WAS SO SCARED. 😰
Tumblr media
Negan has a stressful job and comes home often exhausted. He’s hardly ever in the mood to do much after work anymore so when he came home today and seemed even more stressed than usual, you decide to help.
“Hey baby, stressful day?” You spoke as he hung up his coat at the door. He kicks off his boots with a nod and a sigh. Taking a slow walk over to you he leans down to gently kiss you.
Negan held your hand as he pulled away. “Did you want to do something today?” You could feel his thumb rub over the back of your hand. With the way he said it, he wasn’t in the mood to do much.
Your hand went to his cheek. “No, but i have an idea you might like?” This peaked his interest and he leaned down to kiss you again. His hands went to your hips through the kiss, even when clearly tired.
This kiss was slow paced, his hands gently rubbed over the skin on your hips. He pulls away and nods. “Yeah, what’s the idea, Darlin’?” Negans voice was soft as he spoke. He rested his forehead against yours.
You closed your eyes as did he, a peaceful intimate pose between the two of you. “Wanna take a shower with me?” You offered with a small smile. Negan hummed a pleased tone. You lead him through the house with his hands in yours. Walking into the bathroom with him, closing the door with a small click noise from the lock.
You walk over and turn the water on, letting it warm up, as you walk back over to him. You slowly began to take off his shirt, this night was all about him. Negan put no fuss up and allowed you to strip him of his shirt. “What are you doing?” He huffed a laugh. Putting your hand through his chest hair had him closing his eyes.
“I’m helping you relax.” You smiled as you spoke, moving your hands down to undo his belt and take it out of the loops. “You’re stressed, and i’m looking to help.” You pamper his chest with kisses as he smiled. unbuttoning his jeans and letting them fall to his ankles. Rubbing your hands over his abdomen as you kissed his chest once more and then looked up at him. The sound of the pitter patter of the water was one of the only noises heard. Your eyes trained on his face, his eyes were closed and his mouth was slightly open, you have him looking peaceful after his stressful day already. Sticking your fingers under the hem of his boxers to pull them down his legs too, he steps out of them and his eyes opened.
“Want me to help you undress?” Negans voice was soft as his hands go to hold yours again. With one simple nod had Negan letting go of your hands, and grabbing your shirt to take it off your body. His hands trailed over your bare chest, he leaned down to capture yours lips again. Your arms wrap around his shoulders as his hands grab your pants and boxers pulling them from your body as far down as he can get them while kissing you, until he had to pull away to get your clothes fully off of you. He took your hand in his as you both walked to the shower, checking the water to find it’s at a good temperature. You step in first and stand under the water as he enters slowly afterwards. His hands went to your waist as he kissed your forehead. “You’re so handsome.” He spoke quietly staring right into your eyes. Your cheeks flush over from his sweet remark. You grabbed the shampoo and poured some into your hand, you then bring your hands to Negans hair as slowly start to massage it into his scalp. Negan softly groaned as you did so, you could tell that it caused him a lot of stress relief.
You rubbed it into his hair, his head tilting forward for better access. You see how there was a small line coming down from his hair and nearing his eyes, wiping it away had him smiling. You stepped out of the way so he could rinse his hair from the water. He was absolutely beautiful. His head tilted back under the water pressure, the way his face was relaxing. The water and shampoo dripping down his body, he looked stunning. As you admired him, you scratched at his scalp to help get the shampoo out.
Negans soft groans, the water hitting his skin, and the shower floor were the only noises heard. His hair now freed from the shampoo he looked back down at you. “Your turn.” Negans voice was soft as he grabbed the same shampoo and poured it into his hand, putting it in your hair had you closing your eyes and enjoying his rough but gentle hands. He snuck a kiss to your temple as he was rubbing the shampoo in, which has you opening your eye with a smile. He meant the world to you. He slid his hand to the nape of your neck to lead you closer to his lips so he can give you a quick kiss before you step under the water to get the shampoo out. Negans hands rubbing out the shampoo from your scalp the same way you did his.
You turned so your back was facing him after he got it fully out of your hair. Negan grabbed the body wash and put it on a wash cloth, pulling you out of the water with gentleness and care so he can put it on you. His hand moved slowly and rough through your skin, to make sure you’re clean. Negan had placed kisses on your neck as he rubbed the cloth against every part of the skin he can reach while standing behind you. Bending down to get your legs, he was being very soft as he rubbed over your legs.
Standing back up he put a small amount of body wash into his hand, pressing his front side against your backside as his hand made its way to your waist as he reached his body wash covered hand to slowly stroke at you. He knew was he was doing because he used cleaning you as an excuse, kissing over your shoulder and neck while you gasp under his touch. Getting worked up over the small amount of attention given. As his hand pulls away, you whimper from the loss of his hand. Following his motions and trying to ignore how aroused you got from his small action. Rubbing over his body with the body wash cloth and pampering his chest with kisses. Negans head tilted back, he always enjoyed the feeling of your hands on him, innocent or not. Paying special attention to his tense shoulders and back from the stress he’s induced for weeks now.
Getting on your knees to wash over his legs, Negan had a devilish grin on his face on the sight of you being on your knees. Looking up at him as you rubbed the wash cloth teasing up his thigh. His hand had fallen into your hair and down to your chin in a slow smooth stroke, lifting your chin up more. “I like the sight of you on your knees.” His voice came out in a deep tone. Negan looked down at you in a way that made you weak, leaning into his touch, trying to continue your motion of cleaning with the wash cloth. Even once finished soaping his body, you stayed on your knees, something you knew Negan would appreciate.
Negans eyes stayed on you until he took a step back to get under the water, you bring yourself to stand up yet again and rubbed at your knees from the weird sensation the shower floor left on them. He hummed with a smirk and pulled you closer by your waist. Your arms went to his shoulders. “Sometimes I wonder if you tease me because you know i’ll get on my knees eventually.” You teasingly spoke.
Negans hands moved down to your hips. His sheepish grin and slight shrug gave you the answer in itself. “Who knows, maybe.” Negans voice was soft. You slowly rubbed your hand down his chest to his abdomen, a slow movement that had made his breath hitch. Your hand trailed to his v-line. “Please say I get to watch your pretty little mouth wrap around it.” He growled out. Which had made you smirk, lowering yourself on your knees again you slowly trailed your hand up his thigh, the sensation alone leaving Negans head to tilt back.
Your hand went to his base, to slowly trail it to the tip, dragging your thumb across the slit had Negan already gasping. Weeks without you guys doing anything sexual definitely made Negan more sensitive. Only fueling your arousal as you pumped him to get him hard. Negan groaned softly and his hand went to your hair. You leaned forward and pressed a kiss to the tip, his hips jerk forward a little bit, making you smile as you build his anticipation.
Licking from the base to the tip to increase his arousal, and placing wet sloppy kisses along it. You could tell he was getting frustrated at your teasing since his hand gripped your hair. “Don’t make me beg.” He groaned and looked down at you. You looked at him with innocent eyes, taking just the tip in your mouth had him whimpering as his hand gripped your hair harder. Your scalp burned a little bit, but you were to entranced with Negans noises to care. Your tongue slowly swirled the tip around your mouth which had him move his hips outwards, a way to ask you to take more of him. You comply and slowly inched your mouth down his manhood. He was trying to let you control it, but the way he hips swayed forward and backwards a little bit had you knowing he wanted control. Rubbing your hands up his thighs and to his hips and bringing them closer to your face, letting him know he can take control, and take control he did. His hand automatically gripped onto your hair tighter as he thrusted into your mouth. Face fucking you. Even with how many times you’ve given him a blowjob, you still gagged around him.
He would constantly praise you the entire time. As his thrusts grew staggered you could tell he used your mouth well enough to already be at the point of release. His groans and slight whimpers increase as you began to suck a little harder so you could help him reach that yearning climax. His dick twitched in your mouth momentarily before pulling out slightly so he could come onto your tongue and watch you swallow it. His hand pumped himself as he milked himself onto your tongue. You looked up at him as you swallowed it, by this time the water started getting cold but you both were too addicted to eachother at the moment to care.
You stand up and Negan instantly grabbed your waist to pull you close, kissing you roughly had him groaning as he tasted himself on you. The water was getting colder by the second and as he finally pulled away and turned the water off, Negan kept his hand on your waist as he stepped out of the shower to grab two towels for the both of you. Once back over he wrapped the towel around your shoulders and pulled you close for one more kiss. “You don’t know how hot you are on your knees and taking me the full way.” Negan growled against your lips which had you whimpering. “My pretty boy, taking my cock like a good boy he is.” Negan always got cocky after bjs.. just how he is. He let you dry yourself, as he dried his own body.
You look up at him as you wrap the towel around your waist. “You don’t know how much I’m addicted to you, body and personality.” You smiled, and Negan returned it. “Wanna watch a movie? I mean after you repay me for the shower…” You inquired and he smirked. Grabbing your wrist and kissing it gently.
“I would want nothing more than sex before a movie.” Negans voice was deep and lustful. Wrapping your arms around him as he peppered your face with kisses. “I love you, Y/N. I appreciate how far you went for me because of work.” Negans voice was a whisper in your ear, kissing your earlobe.
“Only the best for you, Negan.” You smiled, happy with your life.

Negan x reader - trade skill
Tumblr media
Hello. I was wondering if you could please do Negan X reader, where Negan is unable to find Lucille and thinks that someone has taken her. So he has people to search every area in Alexandria (I think it is), only to later find out that Y/N took Lucille in order to clean and repair her, and accidentally forgot to notify him. - Anon💜
You didn’t know why a lot of the saviours were taken to Alexandria, you had a thought maybe it had something to do with Rick not doing what he was supposed to be doing.
You weren’t all too sure but you didn’t really have the time to find out either, you were busy with your own project which is why you refused Dwight when he came to get you to go with him.
Was it the smartest choice?
Definitely not, and you knew you were going to get it in the neck from him and most likely Negan after, but you were always in some kind of trouble.
Sitting on your bed, you picked up the pair of wire cutters, carefully getting ready to cut the barbed wire.
You had already caught your arm once, you just tired a bandanna around it and carried on working.
You had to be careful, you didn’t was to break it, and you had to do everything exactly right otherwise you would be more screwed than you were going to be.
Setting the old barbed wire aside on the floor, you picked up the new one and looked at it.
It was a little rusted with the weather, but it was in a lot better condition than the other one.
Wrapping it around like the other was, you nodded to yourself a little.
Setting the bat aside, you got up, grabbing everything you had been using to fix it you shoved it into a box and left the room.
Making your way down to where the workers were, you walked over and set the box down.
“I’ve not used it all so I’m sure someone can get some use out of it.” You said.
The man looked up, nodding her head as she set the box on the floor.
Humming to yourself, you began to browse through the other things that were laid out on the table, looking for something of interest.
Finding nothing, you decided to head outside instead, looking for some part of a fallen tree or a decent sized branch for a new project.
“Hey (Y/N)?”
You looked to one of the other saviours.
“We got problem with the walkers out front, a few got free somehow.”
You sighed, stopped what you were doing and you pulled out your knife, following him to the front where some of the walkers were banging on the fence.
“You said a fucking few, this is a mini horde dumbass.”
He just shrugged and you glared at him.
“Go get the fucking pole idiot.”
He grabbed the pole and you tried to make quick work of clearing the walkers that were building up.
You heard the cars and trucks pulling up and you ignored it, stabbing the final walker in the head, you turned to the man who went to leave.
“Not so fast, you’re waiting here I’ll deal with your ass in a minute.”
Opening the gate, you walked through the bodies, maybe your way to the far end of the fence, slowly looking along it.
For the walkers to get in the gap would have had to be pretty big, so it wasn’t hard to finally find it.
Kneeling down, you carefully inspected the fence and grabbed some zip ties from your jacket to seal it temporarily for now.
Making your way back over you looked at Simon.
“Sort your dumbass out Simon, this fucker hasn’t been checking the fence, there’s a massive hole.”
“You fix things, you sort it.” He said.
“Not my job asshole.”
He stuck his middle finger up at you and you did the same thing, walking over to the doors to head back inside but you stopped by Dwight.
“What was the trip about anyway?”
He glanced at you.
“He’s pissed someone took that stupid bat of his, I’d stay clear.”
You slowly nodded your head and glanced at the leader.
You had three options, either sneak the bat back into his room, leave it somewhere for someone else or come clean.
You didn’t want someone else to take the heat for your actions, and you couldn’t exactly sneak it into his room so with a heavy sigh, you walked over to where he was stood.
“Negan?”
“What?” He snapped.
He turned around and glared at you and you subconsciously took a step back.
“I know where Lucille is…” you mumbled.
“Where?!”
“I uh… could you follow me?”
Negan didn’t say anything as he trailed behind you, and you took his to your room, opening the door and you gestured to the table.
He walked inside, picking up the bat, carefully inspecting it.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing with her?”
He slowly turned around and you stepped inside the room, closing the door so nobody passing by could look in.
“I uh.. I forgot to tell you…”
“What the fuck were you doing with her?” He growled out.
You sighed, heading under your table you pulled out a box and set it down, showing him to contents.
“I noticed that Lucille was breaking, and you left her on the table so I decided to fix her and forgot to tell you.”
“Why?”
You shrugged a little.
“I like fixing things a guess, plus you wouldn’t be Negan without Lucille.”
Negan stared at you and you couldn’t bring yourself to look at him, but you could feel his eyes practically burning into you.
You couldn’t tell if he was still angry or not, and part of you didn’t want to know.
At least if he wanted to kill you for taking his beloved bat then you wouldn’t see it coming so it would make it easier.
“Look at me.”
You took the box, setting it back under the table and began to inspect a few of your things, just doing anything to avoid looking at him.
“I said look. At. Me.”
You turned around, connecting your eyes with his, he wore a blank expression and you watched as he slowly began to grin.
It was that grin that sent a chill down your spine, the same grin that you knew was the last thing some people saw.
“She looks just as good as the first day I made her, shit (Y/N), if I knew you were so handy I woulda moved you ranks ages ago.”
He put the bat on his shoulder, stuffing a hand in his pocket as he looked at you.
“What do you want? Name me one thing and it’s yours.”
“Anything?”
“Damn straight.”
You went quiet for a moment.
“You got anything else I can fix?”
Negan blinked a little in confusion.
“I just gave you permission to ask for anything, anything you fuckin’ want, anything at all, and you want to fix shit?”
You shrugged a little and he laughed.
“Fucking weird as ball man, but alright. I got a few things for you, you’re to return them directly to me.”
“Yes sir.”
Negan began looking around at a few things you had already repaired and made.
It was why he kept you around at first, you were just handy when it came to fixing something that had broke.
He turned around to look over at you.
“How’d you know how to fix her?”
You paused what you were doing.
“My dad owned a repair shop, mostly just household shit, but he could fix up other crap too, loved baseball.”
Negan slowly nodded his head.
“Next time you take Lucille without asked I’ll start breaking fingers.”
“Understood.”
He smirked at you, and he picked up a little figurine you had fixed of a baseball player you didn’t even know the name to.
“I’m taking this too.”
With that he left and you let out a sigh of relief.
Maybe you shouldn’t have drawn more attention to yourself, but in the world it was now, you needed to have people you could rely on, so you needed to prove yourself to Negan if you wanted a chance of being kept around and surviving.
Maybe you didn’t agree with how he did things, but you sometimes had to do these things in order to survive
