I'm loving the lore for ClayClan so far!! How involved are leaders with the everyday culture of the Clan? Watching stageplays, weaving stories of their own, etc. I ask, because in canon, leaders tend to feel entirely separate from the Clan they're leading.
Thank you! I absolutely agree with your point about canon. I think it's an issue that's gotten worse in recent arcs - seems like the leaders just sit in their den all day unless they're calling a meeting... it's weird! So yes, leaders in ClayClan are much more involved; they're meant to best represent Hyaash and Mrrha's ideals, standing as the "ideal Clanmate" that other cats can look up to. I'll go into two notable leaders as an example.
First we have Needlestar, the cat who was in charge before the current leader Timberstar. They were very very good at their job! They were connected tightly to the Clan and often threw themself into danger to save Clanmates. They're remembered for these feats; defeating a coyote alone, luring a rabid raccoon away from a patrol, pulling a rough-legged hawk of the sky to save a kit... they also adored story-telling, and often told their own (dramatized) versions of their many adventures. Modern cats would consider them close to the ideal leader.
Second we have Timberstar, ClayClan's leader as of Heart Rot. Timberstar is a good leader, but he isn't as good as Needlestar was - his primary issues is that he prioritizes his family's lives over his duty to the Clan. This isn't an issue that ClayClan is aware of yet, but it becomes obvious to certain cats during the storyline. There's a lot to discuss regarding Timberstar and Needlestar's relationship (and the skeletons in Timberstar's closet)... I'll have to talk about it a story-related post at some point.
I'll also take this time to note that leaders in ClayClan do not have nine lives! Since I want the mythology to be left vague, I decided to remove that. Leaders have one death just like everyone else.

Decided to make doodles of the leaders of the 2 other clans I've been messing around with!
Needlestar has gone through shit. Broke up with a mate like 3 times but they kept getting back together and then she died (RIP Hyacinthflood). Then she got together with another cat who's previous mate was exiled for MURDER. But she moves.
Flightstar only became leader 2 moons ago, and the 2nd leader of Hellclan! Had Watermouse not retired early, he would've been leader instead, but frankly, he's old as shit (124 moons) so Flightburn was a much better option.
Speaking of Flightstar being the 2nd leader, here's the 1st leader!
Also old as shit and trained 5 APPRENTICES?? like holy shit girl give yourself a break
She didnt have any mates or kits but was a very beloved leader. I'm pretty sure almost all of the clan founders have died but one or two are still haning on lol
I didnt't draw her but one of my favorite cats from Hellclan is Jumbleclaw purely for her name. I mean cmon. Jumbleclaw. I love that name you should too (/j)

Leader of MeadowClan | She/Her | 52 moons old | art by @signetviolet
The toothy grin of this cat is one known well inside and out of MeadowClan. Needlestar is a snarky, bold, and brash cat on the best of days and vicious on her worst. But she is fiercely loyal to her Clan. In her youth, she was a bit of a show off and to this day, enjoys poking at predators and borders, itching for a fight – all to protect her territory, of course. She finds joy in it and wants the same for her Clanmates: joy and freedom. Though, those inside and out of MeadowClan may doubt her methods in achieving that. Outwardly, Needlestar is a ball of teeth and attitude and laughter, but few know the leader personally. And fewer now with Poppystar buried.
Needlestar was once a warrior named Pineshadow and changed her name after she took up the mantle of leadership from her deceased mate, Poppystar, as a way to distinguish herself from the past. The moons since Poppystar's death have not been easy on MeadowClan. The fire that took her left their territory scarred, forcing Needlestar to think of new ways to keep her Clan alive. Her chosen deputy, Sprucegoose, was of little help in her eyes. His gentle, somewhat pliable nature did not help to pick up the slack when Needlestar ran out of ideas. But they survived the fire and storms and the hunger and now that they've left them behind, Needlestar's priority is to make sure they aren't left vulnerable again. Here's hoping that her new choice in deputy wasn't a mistake as well.

Starting off with.. Saitama! Definitely aroace.
Then, we have Genos!!! I think Genos is aroace too, because I don’t think he’d be into having a relationship and is too busy with hero work and finding that damn robot that killed his family
Mumen!! I think he’s Pan!!! He doesn’t care about your gender, because fuck gender!!! All he cares is that his partner is a decent human being!!!

Death Gatling is probably aromantic! And Agender!

Decided to do the two cat challenge, made them mother and daughter. Daughter is a Healer and the mother, Needlestar is down to one life 😭😭😭 Going on nearly 51 moons and so far, no one has joined. It's just the two of them

she lives in Manehattan too, and she is best friend of Fancy Collar. sometimes she works at her dad's piercing studio(she even did F-C's piercings!!) but her main job is making tattoos. i have to say she got her cutiemark when she was already an adult for this reason, yeah... she's really open-hearted and caring, just a sweetie.

- fancy collar actually visited ponyville often when he was a kid because his mother is from ponyville originally.

[CM] Mammals - The Big Scaries
The first of several animal expansions! I have a lot of words to share, so the mammal and bird guides will be broken up into smaller segments. In this post we have words for “the big scaries” - large, dangerous mammals, several of them uncommon on ClayClan territory. Below are translations for moose, deer, coyotes, and black bears!
A note on my formatting - because I have so much to share, mammal and bird expansions won’t include the translation of base Clanmew words, but will instead include them in ellipses next to the Claymew word.
Adult moose (Alces alces) - Rrarg
Moose calf (Alces alces) - Myeh
The largest animal encountered by Clan cats! They’re not incredibly common; when they do show up, it’s usually a cow with a calf, as they prefer to be around water - cats will report this to the rest of the Clan and avoid the area until the pair is long gone. The late leader Needlestar was apparently killed by a moose.
Whitetail stag (Odocoileus virginianus) - Klakak
Whitetail doe (Odocoileus virginianus) - Mwelka
Whitetail fawn (Odocoileus virginianus) - Wrowo (wro*, owo*)
The only deer present in the territory, whitetails are largely harmless, but still considered a dangerous animal for their hooves and antlers. Bucks in rut are always avoided - they’ve been known to charge cats that get too close!
Coyote (Canis latrans) - Rrooyai
Large and dangerous, coyotes are a much more present threat than any other animal on this list - they’ll gladly make a meal of a Clan cat if the opportunity arises. Dealing with them is a community effort.
Adult black bear (Ursus americanus) - Mwurrur
Black bear cub (Ursus americanus) - Wyaah
The second-largest animal encountered by ClayClan, black bears are frightening but rarely harmful... bears and cats seem happy to avoid each other. Black bear cubs are named for their alarm call.
