Dear Vector Prime,
Have there been any other Horrorcons besides Snapdragon and Apeface?
Dear Kaiju Kopf,
While I could mention the Horrorcons who fought in the Universe War—Leatherhide, Blackarachnia, Nightprowler and Waspinator—I assume you are speaking specifically of the triple-changing Headmaster Horrorcons binary-bonded with Nebulans. Though, now that I mention it, I did once hear of a Leatherhide who bonded himself to… ah, my apologies, I'm getting off-track.
I believe that in at least one universe, the Decepticon forces under Scorponok did indeed include a third Horrorcon by the name of Backbiter. Like her fellows, Backbiter was a powerhouse among the Headmasters; she transformed into both a Cybertronian "flying wing" stealth bomber and an enormous, heavily armored snapping turtle. Though not as fast as some Transformers, the difficulty of detecting her jet mode allowed her to get in close to her Autobot enemies before converting into turtle form, becoming a nigh-invulnerable mobile bastion; in robot mode, meanwhile, she wielded a Psyche-Out Blaster that disrupted the brain modules of enemy Transformers to cause vivid hallucinations—something that proved useful if she ever needed to retreat from a fight.
While outwardly the least unpleasant of the three Horrorcons to be around, Backbiter was in truth a cruel and spite-driven individual who—as her name suggests—would feign politeness to others' faces while spreading vicious rumors and mockery behind their backs, taking a perverse pleasure in breaking other Decepticons' spirits while masquerading as their friend. Perhaps her only ally that she didn't treat this way was her Headmaster partner Gemba, a scheming Nebulan socialite desperate for prestige and fame, who was more than happy to ride Backbiter's coattails to a position of power.
One notable adventure saw the Horrorcons lay an ambush for the Autobot Headmasters, Backbiter using her Psyche-Out Blaster to trap them in nightmarish visions. It was only thanks to their Nebulan partners being resistant to the effects that the Autobots were able to escape and defeat the Horrorcons—that, and Hardhead's legendary stubbornness, which helped him to push through! Backbiter and the others were forced to flee, swearing revenge against the Autobots and their Headmaster partners.

Ive been working on a tabletop setting! Here's two NPCS who are leaders of the organization dubbed 'The Stormbreakers'.
The Stormbreakers are a rebellion force fighting off Emperor Supercell and his Storm Nebula Cybertronian Empire and its control of a 100 worlds. Details about them under the cut!
Core Punch is a Meteorologist originating from Nebluos and his alt-mode is designed to take hits, including being launched into the air a few hundred feet. He has advanced sensors he's had Spotter refined into detecting enemies rather than storms. They're a risk taker but people rarely realize how brash they are because of their even and cool demeanor. Core Punch has specialized glass from Nebulos that makes up their windows that is resistant to shattering. Hobby wise, Core loves to go fishing which is about the only time they're truly patient, though, they hide their impatience incredibly well so its hard to tell (Unless you're Spotter)
Spotter's family evacuated from Nebulos ages ago, he wasn't even born there, and all he has for context is old photos, paintings his family has done, and stories. He doesn't have any surviving family left and isn't even sure if his family line will continue after him but having a garden and a workshop was enough for him. He's very observant and patient, except when it comes to fishing he's terrible at waiting, and often balances out Core's brashness with caution.
Core Punch wanted to stay out of the war and after the destruction of Nebulos a long, long time ago by Supercell who was a Cybertronian-Nebulean Senator at the time, he evacuated with other Nebuleans. He eventually found his way to a little world that took him in and met Spotter, also a refugee from Nebulos. They enjoyed a quiet life in the rural areas of their new home up until Supercell and legion of war-drones showed up. Not going to let Supercell get away with destroying their home a second time, Core Punch joined up with other people fighting back against Supercell, eventually becoming a leader of sorts. Core Punch is one of the extremely few Cybertronian members of the Stormbreakers, the other is the Decepticon Dust Plume. Though there are others who have been pulled into the conflict.

Speaking of the Nebulons in the G1 cartoon, the weirdest part is that they knew about humans enough to recognize them on sight... But not Cybertronians. However, there are no examples of humans doing deep space travel without them.
I wonder about that. (Or I'm thinking too hard about an 80s cartoon meant to sell toys to kids.)

The Nebulan holomatter avatars the students used look exactly like humans, while all the actual Nebulans we've seen are green. Do Nebulans just have a wide variety of skin colors, or were the students misinformed about what Nebulans look like?
Bit of both. There are (relatively rare) Nebulans who look like regular humanoids, but their skin is still vaguely greenish. The Holoavatars used by the students that one school trip were based on the regular humanoid template and matched well enough at the time, though it probably rose a few eyebrows, being so... Pinkish.

Two more sketches of ideas for @tigracespace's Pirateformers au, this time with ideas I've had for Scotta and Starbright!
Scotta is a lookout and junior ship repairman with a cursed amulet around her neck. The amulet houses some kind of energy or soul that gives her the ability to transform into a mer/siren, though it seems to be having an effect on her body. She can't take it off either, and sometimes, she can hear a voice on the other side.
Starbright is a traveling dancer who sticks to coastal towns and cities, her performances rumored to be ethereal and mesmerizing, even healing, but she's only seen during the day. At night, the rare few will see a birdlike siren out on the bay, dancing carelessly in the night sky. If you stay to watch until the end, she may give you something special if you're kind enough.

Has any transformer ever become President of the United States? Some of them WERE technically born in the US
Dear Presidentially Persistent,
In one universe, it was Laser Cycle who made history by becoming the first Cybertronian ever to run for president. Like most Cybertronians of the era, she was born on Earth, part of the “second generation” of post-war Cybertronians constructed through a fusion of Human, Nebulan, and Cybertronian technology. And like many other Cybertronians on the East Coast, she owed her existence to the Powell Motorworks Quantum Laboratories Cyberfactory in Pittsburgh, the third-largest facility of its kind in the nation. When a wave of factionalism threatened to rekindle the Great War on Terran soil, she was one of the many Transformers who chose to side with the Autobots.
With the end of the Machine Wars and the ratification of the Pax Cybertronia in the year 2013, Earth and Cybertron prepared to enter an unprecedented era of peace, prosperity, and alliance-building. However, after decades of geopolitical chaos, not all humans regarded the Autobots as benevolent protectors. Many humans came to regard the Cyberfactories as symbols of “alien oppression”—complexes that stole Earth’s own resources to build an army of resource-gobbling aliens. Power-hungry politicians such as Megan Guiglione’s Earth First party rode to power on a wave of populist rhetoric, while the Terran Coalition, which advocated peaceful cooperation between humans and aliens, struggled to rebound from a string of political losses.
When not working her day job as a food courier, Laser Cycle leveraged her take-charge personality and oratory skills to become a community organizer. In the year 2048, she made history when she ran for office and became the representative for Pennsylvania’s 18th congressional district; in doing so, she became the first Earth-born Cybertronian to hold office. In 2062, Senator Cycle announced, to much fanfare, that she would run for President as a member of the Terran Coalition—if she won, she would become the first non-human leader of the United States. After a particularly heated convention, Laser Cycle emerged as the frontrunner and entered the 2064 presidential primaries against Earth First representative Terence Berger.
During the primaries, Laser Cycle promised that she would work to build alliances with Nebulos and Cybertron, while taking conciliatory stances on a number of controversial political issues—these included offering amnesty and rehabilitation programs for captured members of Jhiaxus’s clone army, increased access to mental health services for ex-Headmasters, and de-escalating tensions between the United States and the Sino-Soviet Alliance. But after a strong start, factors beyond her control threatened to stymie the Cycle campaign.
In January 2064, a long-range EDC patrol reported an encounter with a rogue Decepticon ship that had somehow slipped past Earthen sensors—while the “ship” was little more than an old scow, crewed by three Decepticons who hadn’t yet heard the war had ended, the incident nevertheless alarmed many constituents, who found themselves gravitating to Berger’s pro-rearmament proposal.
The second threat came from Cybertron itself. In the post-war years, Cybertron had undergone something of a religious revival; in particular, many Transformers were attracted to the teachings of Heretech, a repentant ex-Decepticon who had rededicated his life to preaching Reversionism. However, his theology espoused that the only “real” Cybertronians were those who’d been constructed from the sacred metals of the homeworld—those constructed on worlds like Nebulos or Earth were pale imitations of “true” Cybertronians, who had never basked in the warming glow of Vector Sigma. Laser Cycle’s campaign, he decreed, was a direct affront to Cybertron itself, an attempt to dilute the inherent purity of their race. While many Cybertronians wrote these words off as mere bigotry, some were swayed by his rhetoric. Even some Autobots held a kind of vague resentment towards the second generation—after all, they’d spent years fighting the Decepticons in deep space, while their successors lived the peaceful, comfortable lives they’d never known.
Finally, on November 4, 2064, the election was held. While Laser Cycle secured the majority of the Cybertronian vote, as the polls foretold, low voter turnout meant that she ultimately didn’t clinch the final tally required to win the race. Graceful in defeat as well as victory, she offered a congratulatory telephone call to her opponent. Berger governed for three years, until a scandal involving the sordid history of his great-grandfather Shawn led to him resigning in disgrace. Still, Laser Cycle was the first to seriously introduce the American people to the idea of a Cybertronian in office—and by the year 2109, many felt that only an Autobot would be able to save Earth from the impending threat of the Swarm… but that’s a story for another time, I think.

I'm curious about Aquarius and the Aquarians, how did they become the gathering place for so many refugees? Do you have any little fun facts about them?
Most of it was chance. Gunwhale and his Autobot alignened crew had crashed on Aquarius before the real war broke out and they were mostly cut off from everything. The Aquarians were really helpful in adapting the crew to the planet but they lost a lot of equipment in their ship sinking to the nearly bottomless depths of the sea. Eventually, ships carrying refugees got in contact more so by chance than on purpose. Gunwhale's friends ditched Aquarius to join the efforts on Cybertron but Gunwhale is someone who believes theres more ways to help than "throwing bodies at a problem" and he stayed behind, working as a translator between Aquarius and the Nebuleans.
The Aquarians i think really felt so bad for them and they just wanted to help. Offering what they could but the friction comes from their lack of surface to build on and other adaptions everyone is making. The Aquarians value the balance of the ocean ecosystem so they do have concerns about the fuel burning Transformers do. They aren't really telling them to change their diets impossibly but they do want a few options and do ask Transformers to be more thoughtful on using alt modes that burn oils. Some Transformers struggle with this change and cause a bit of trouble.
Fun facts are the Aquarians usually make good luck charms out of shells and fish bones left over from their food. Its a sort of concept to continue good fortune so the next meal is just as plentiful. Because Gunwhale has lived so long with the Aquarians, he has a huge collection of these gifted to him through out the years. The Aquarians do have a much shorter lifespan than Nebuleans I think.. they also tend towards a more Matriarchal society and have some very strict hierarchy and laws but they tend towards good will than suspicion. Its hare ror me to describe, exactly, but I have a scene in my mind in how some of the Nebulean-Aquarius talks go.

Him again, but different
Tumblr media
(Was kinda hesitant to post this for some reason)
Had an idea of him looking like this post-timeline (which, to explain to the best of my ability, is everything that happens after this AU's Spidey defeats Nebulos, and the main set timeline ends.)
Rambling aside, I also just wanted to see AU Doc wearing a Howie lab coat...

Had another idea for a lil tfa au scenario x3
Skyfire's been hesitant about sharing his works with most of the Autobot scientists. Not just cause he's unsure if the Autobots would even accept his work with him having been one of the Decepticons top scientists for millions of stellar cycles, even if he's claimed neutrality for even longer. he also highly doubts they'd even have any interest in his research on interplanetary lifeforms and energon usage/production. (He's trying to develop Pretender technology in this au)
Powerglide insists many Autobots will overlook that fact if they see his detailed work and lifetime of dedicated passion to him wanting to protect and understand lifeforms across the galaxy.
One day Powerglide gets wind that he'll have to ferry fly a group of the Autobots top scientists to a scientific convention in Crystal City. He wants to surprise Skyfire and invites him to ride with aboard the ship and insists Skyfire allows him to help polish him up real well.
Skyfire is delighted to come along, he's thinking Powerglide's bringing out to a really fancy Energon place in Crystal City. He's delighted to finally once again see the Cybertronian city historically infamous for it's scientific advancements. Of course, that was before the war completely destroyed it. He's curious to see how it's been rebuilt by Autobot and neutral servos.
~~
On the ride there Powerglide starts acting over dramatically eepy and says he wants to get an Energon snack from the ship's galley. He asks Skyfire to keep the spaceship on track. "You think I'm even qualified by Autobot standards to fly this thing? The navigation system is off by 2.5 degrees by the way" He jokes.
"Far more qualified than Dogfight over there"-who's asleep in his seat with a datapad covering his face.
While he's preoccupied, on his way back from the galley with some snackies, Powerglide slips one of Skyfire's datapads onto Perceptor's table "Read it, nerd."
"It's written in Destronian?"
"Is that an issue?"
"Not at all. But it does have my curiosity"
--
Later near their approach to Crystal City Preceptor made his way into the cockpit, datapad in hand. He leans against the pilot's seat facing Skyfire's jumpseat. "So, I see there's the galaxy's leading expert biologist in this cabin and I suspect it's not our snoozing copilot there."
"Your research is absolutely astounding. I've heard of you, Skyfire, during the war when your research benefited Megatron's efforts to conquer worlds. We almost lost C Minor, Nebulos, and Talaka to Shockwave and Starscream using this, your data to create a planet Energon harvester and weapon of immense destruction"
Skyfire’s face went from astonished and ecstatic to dull and expressionless as his spark sunk with every word. Powerglide completely froze, his face saying "oh no. I just massively screwed up..."
"I tried to stop them in time. I was too late for C Minor and the Nebulan and Talakan lives lost that sol. I can never forgive myself for that and turning a blind optic to the Decepticons schemes all those stellar cycles. That's why I've spent the last 3 million stellar cycles helping the lifeforms of those 2 remaining worlds recover and rebuild. Its why my current research is on producing sustainable Energon without the Allspark, especially with the Allspark gone.. It's the least I could do"
"I know. We've all done things we're not proud of." Perceptor handed the datapad to Skyfire. "I would like to join you on your research to save Cybertron. I'm certain my partners Wheeljack and Mainframe would share the same sentiment. You know as well as any Cybertronian, without the Allspark, Cybertron will starve."
"Planet's really starting to run low, huh?" Powerglide asked rhetorically as he focused on the ship's instruments in front of him, flipped a few switches and gave the other passengers of the ship the landing intercom debrief.
"Skyfire, if you would like, you're welcome to join the convention and contribute in any way if you feel comfortable," Perceptor said as he left the cockpit, door closing behind.
Skyfire and Powerglide looked at eachother in silence, both with a mix of bewilderment. Skyfire broke the silence by squealing like a fangirl, waking up Dogfight from his nap as he lifted Powerglide from his seat in a Skyfire sized hug.
Dogfight panics as he sees they're in a descent to the spaceport below and the captain off his seat getting showered in shuttle kisses. "Skyfire I gotta land us!! Later I promise!!" protests Powerglide in between laughs. He's eventually let back down and Skyfire stays quiet to let him fly the ship. But not without the occasional brief excited turbine spool up.
