Have there been any other Horrorcons besides Snapdragon and Apeface?

Dear Kaiju Kopf,

While I could mention the Horrorcons who fought in the Universe War—Leatherhide, Blackarachnia, Nightprowler and Waspinator—I assume you are speaking specifically of the triple-changing Headmaster Horrorcons binary-bonded with Nebulans. Though, now that I mention it, I did once hear of a Leatherhide who bonded himself to… ah, my apologies, I'm getting off-track.

I believe that in at least one universe, the Decepticon forces under Scorponok did indeed include a third Horrorcon by the name of Backbiter. Like her fellows, Backbiter was a powerhouse among the Headmasters; she transformed into both a Cybertronian "flying wing" stealth bomber and an enormous, heavily armored snapping turtle. Though not as fast as some Transformers, the difficulty of detecting her jet mode allowed her to get in close to her Autobot enemies before converting into turtle form, becoming a nigh-invulnerable mobile bastion; in robot mode, meanwhile, she wielded a Psyche-Out Blaster that disrupted the brain modules of enemy Transformers to cause vivid hallucinations—something that proved useful if she ever needed to retreat from a fight.

While outwardly the least unpleasant of the three Horrorcons to be around, Backbiter was in truth a cruel and spite-driven individual who—as her name suggests—would feign politeness to others' faces while spreading vicious rumors and mockery behind their backs, taking a perverse pleasure in breaking other Decepticons' spirits while masquerading as their friend. Perhaps her only ally that she didn't treat this way was her Headmaster partner Gemba, a scheming Nebulan socialite desperate for prestige and fame, who was more than happy to ride Backbiter's coattails to a position of power.

One notable adventure saw the Horrorcons lay an ambush for the Autobot Headmasters, Backbiter using her Psyche-Out Blaster to trap them in nightmarish visions. It was only thanks to their Nebulan partners being resistant to the effects that the Autobots were able to escape and defeat the Horrorcons—that, and Hardhead's legendary stubbornness, which helped him to push through! Backbiter and the others were forced to flee, swearing revenge against the Autobots and their Headmaster partners.

I had this scenario for a while, since the anons made tfa prowl and IDW prowl interact (as mother and son) and I decided to put it into practice already

In this scenario tfa prowl was born after IDW prowl distanced himself from the other bots (so you can already imagine his surprise with the bitty).Tfa prowl has very vague memories of his other life, practically the essentials ,so he decides, inspired by his "ex" (lockdown), to become a mercenary samurai/ninja when he's older (he still maintains a good relationship with his carrier)

The Cybertronians kind of knew that Prowl had another son because, when he disappeared, they found hospital records about both of them.They just didn't know that the young man and the newest (and exotic) mercenary were the same person.

Until Springer and nightprowler met by accident

Lmfao Nightprowler becoming some kind of hotshot young merc is so funny to me. Mama Prowl is face palming so hard. He worked so hard to give his baby everything he needed to succeed, to land himself a safe and respectable career where he'd always be financially stable and could settle in a nice cozy suburb of Praxus somewhere, so he could grow old and spend his time with a special someone and get to enjoy crystal gardens and just live an easy, peaceful life

But no. Of course his baby had to grow up to be some kind of despicable freelance assassin for hire! Tell me idw Prowl wouldn't despise that shit. It's unstable, dangerous work, not to mention illegal!

...unless this is like a Yor and Yuri situation, where he doesn't know what his son actually does for work. I think that'd be even funnier: he thinks his sparkling has become a dutiful civil servant, working at city hall or maybe a lawyer or something, and that is a day job he holds down for the sake of cover. But his real work is killing whomever he's hired to, no questions asked.

Idk who's been digging around in Prowl's hospital records. Idk who breaks the news to him that Nightprowler and Nightstalker (probably his mercenary alias) are the same person. But he damn near has an aneurysm. Springer definitely scolds his little brother for stressing their mom's old spark 🤭

Pfft, imagine if the clans have fables about other cats who ignored the warnings about the fae and foolishly got themselves captured by the fae.

Then Rusty/Firestar hears one story about a cat called Nightprowl and goes "Oh! You knew Whiskers?"

everyone just flinches and arches their backs because it's a sudden shocking reminder that Firestar is fae blooded with the sudden reminder that Nightprowl lost his name, to be fair I would also be upset if I lost a cool ass name like "nightprowl" for fucking "whiskers"

They absolutely have fables, each clan has a different view of the Fae, with Shadowclan and Windclan with the most positive, Thunderclan with a more neutral wary, and Riverclan with the harshest because according to the ye olde definitely not really canon any more warrior app they mention that riverclan has the most amount of cats lost to twolegs because they have such pretty sleeky fur and twolegs go "oh shit a fluffy chonker" and then there goes minnowjump which is a concept I find hilarious to this day

Why is Nightprowler a renegade Autobot?

Dear Monster Master,

In the wake of the Diaspora, Nightprowler became separated from his kin, and his manipulative Master. He awoke on Cybertron, a planet much like his homeworld, suffering memory loss. He wandered as a stranger in a familiar land, until he was eventually discovered by the Autobots. They eagerly accepted him, even with him unsure of his origins, and Nightprowler gradually became an eager member of the Autobot movement.

When his fellow Monsters attacked, Nightprowler's memories finally returned. Feeling torn between his old allies, and his new friends, Nightprowler instead brokered a peace between them. This universe became a major refugee colony for Nightprowler's kind, which led to new troubles, but also new joys.

Nightprowler became a focal figure for both peoples, and so made sure to let people know that he may be an Autobot, but he was still a Renegade, and always would be.

I don't know how much this would affect canon, but Tarantulas' plans for a "dysfunctional family reunion" end up being thrown out the window (sort of).

Bold of you to assume that IDW Jazz doesn't also call the baby Lil Pea 🤭 Prowl is far from happy about it and insists Jazz use his real name. Jazz refuses. Lil Pea is here to stay and Prowl could not be more salty

Oh hey a writerly tag game! @tundra-tiger tagged me and it sounds like the name of the game is to drop the last 7 lines of the story you’re working on. Since I have no less than 5 projects going simultaneously, I wasn’t sure which to go with, and since I’m technically in revisions on most of them, I wasn’t sure if I should grab the latest revised section or the actual end of the work.

I decided not to count any of my fanfics and only look at my original fiction for this, ultimately deciding on the last lines I had written of the initial draft of my largest project from before I began revisions.

Cordelia’s perspective during an aetherstorm that happens close to the midpoint of the book:

Amidst this chaos, no one seemed to notice Cordelia slipping from below decks, wandering up the stairs to gain a higher vantage for watching the storm. Had her brother stopped and marveled at the storm which took his life? If he were here now, would Gideon chastise her for being reckless, or would he understand her delight? Would he stand with her in the storm and watch its beauty unfold?

Where before the storm had been almost silent, the aetherwinds now stirred up a cacophony of noise, like the voices of a thousand howling nightprowlers. The wind threatened to steal the scarf from her head. Cordelia held it in place while she used her free hand to hoist herself up to the forecastle deck for a better view.
