Y/N and the rest of NCT Dream have already made a dent into their stay at the vacation home their managers rented out for the next few weeks, with mornings tossed down the drain - splatters of unseen sunlight on the walls as barely any of them rose until the amber fires of the afternoon burned on the horizon - and nights spent around shoddy bonfires with laughter spiralling into the starlit sky like the smoke in the middle of them. Going into this experience of filming seasons of 7llin’, Y/N was always so worried about the cameras, freezing every other second, hyperaware and paranoid with the way they caught all of his actions.
However, Y/N thawed out soon enough - with the assistance of the warmth of Jisung’s embrace and teasing. After a few days, maybe even less than that if Y/N counted the ones he wasn’t awake for, he forgot that the cameras even existed, whether that be to his benefit or not. Hours were swept out from under him the longer he spent wrapped up in Jisung’s arms with the sheets tangled up between and around them, untouched curtains letting dapples of silver sunlight dance along them, prick their skin before Jisung would lean over in a drowsy slumber and kiss where the sunlight left its mark.
It was because of Jisung that all of this seemed to be so easy - Y/N’s integration into NCT Dream, recording over verses and making space in choreographies established before Y/N even started straining, all the doubt and paranoia and guilt that came with being in a place that Y/N didn’t feel he belonged in - for those moments Jisung was there next to him, it was as if everything that led up to this point was weightless, mattered not. Y/N’s relationship with Jisung didn’t always make things easier, but what mattered was that now it did, Y/N and Jisung were each other’s places of sweet reprieve, whether it be from overwhelming pressure and expectations to always be at their best, or to find moments of quiet between the rest of NCT’s clangorous, chaotic arguing .
The managers and staff lured most of NCT Dream out to the pool area, with Mark, Jeno, Haechan and Jaemin splashing each other and leaving more water on the poolside than in the deep ends they were wading in, and with Renjun sitting on a wobbly pool-floatie with his moments of peace expectedly cut short by Chenle tipping it over. Y/N and Jisung took a little more coaxing than the rest, as they planned to stay on their course for the day and avoid contact - direct or otherwise - with any sunlight or air or grass or semblance of the outside world. However, Y/N was the first to cave in as he raised an eyebrow at being able to catch glimpses of Jisung changing, and Jisung was dragged out with the exact same thing on his mind, being able to shut the bathroom door on the camera, take Y/N in by the waist, hoist him up onto the vanity’s countertop and stay swaying between Y/N’s knees, looking right into Y/N’s eyes.
The staff supposed they were changing very, very slowly…
If changing slowly meant Jisung hugging Y/N around the torso in nothing but his bathing suit as Y/N wrapped his legs around Jisung and brought him in even closer, kissing the top of Jisung’s head and feeling lips dance across his collarbone, delicate hands diving under the thin black swimming shirt that clung to Y/N’s body in all the right ways… Then yes, they were changing very, very slowly.
Jisung was now sitting at the pool’s edge by the shallowest edge he could find, shifting from foot to foot as he kept them hesitantly submerged beneath the clear water’s surface. He tried not to look too awkward and took particular interest in the way his hands seemed to warp and refract whenever he dunked them in the water, the pool’s waves like pale blue veins overlapping with his own. His focus was soon ripped away, however, Y/N on the other side of the pool, one of the other seven of his members shoving each other into the water, caught his eye and in an instant, he was cutting through the water like a knife to meet Jisung where he sat alone. Y/N held so much gravity in his eyes, his smile, his hands, his waist, his voice, his everything; and with that, Jisung paid the price of never being able to keep his eyes on anything else other than Y/N.
His stares across the room at Y/N no matter what was going on around them, his world and his reality only where Y/N was, have become so shameless that even camera people, translators and makeup staff are catching him and sheepishly asking him to dial it back.
He did exactly that, followed Y/N’s every move as he waded through the shallowing waters on the way to meet Jisung, and found himself midway through a gasp and a hearty chuckle as Y/N dove beneath the water and a loud thud of his head meeting the heightened pool floor seemed to resonate through the entire pool.
“Oh shit, that was a really bad idea!”
“Uhm, careful! The pool gets shallower~” Jisung sang into the sunlit air, and he smiled even brighter as it was met with Y/N’s bitter contempt. “Are you okay? Are you hurt?”
Jisung scooted down the edge of the pool to where Y/N was treading by the start of the shallow end, holding his forehead with a wince of pain contorting his lips, a spiteful smile soon overtook it, though, and Y/N paddled over to Jisung, who took Y/N by the shoulders and pulled him closer to rest between Jisung’s legs. Doing his best - and failing horribly - to be as inconspicuous as possible, burying his affections beneath the splashes and screams from the other side of the pool, Jisung pushed Y/N’s soaking wet hair from where it was plastered to his face, and tilted Y/N’s head by the chin to check if he was okay.
At this point, he didn’t even care about the cameras - a routine of apathy they fall into no matter where they are; variety shows with Jisung snaking an arm around Y/N’s shoulders, recordings backstage with Jisung fixing Y/N’s microphone and nudging stray hairs into place, vlogs by other members that catch Y/N and Jisung wrestling the absolute crap out of each other in the middle of practice rooms in the reflections of the mirrors. Fractions of the adoration they carried for each other laid everywhere since Y/N’s debut, and Jisung knew that this, Y/N idling by Jisung as he fixed Y/N’s hair, was just another little memory to tack onto the rest of what they’ve done on camera.
Y/N shone a smile as Jisung tucked some of Y/N’s hair behind his ear, and it took everything Jisung had and more not to just melt at the way Y/N’s brilliance nearly shorted out the ivory sunlight lingering over them. “Nah, I’m good. Maybe this is what it felt like when you fell from heaven.”
That sly tone in Y/N's voice even made the clouds roll their eyes, and Jisung let out a loud groan as Y/N’s remark, and all the coyness that came with it, singed Jisung’s skin just so, that it was absolutely impossible to fake a frown. Jisung’s smile was almost as bright and wide as Y/N’s, and he wrapped his legs around Y/N’s waist and dragged him closer - he rested his hands behind him on the poolside so he wouldn’t just take Y/N by the neck and kiss him senseless in front of three cameras, four if the one by the patio was still keeping tabs on them.
Doing his best to keep up that mask of feigned frustration, struggling to hold back the sheer bliss and adoration that burst at his seems whenever Y/N was close enough to take in, Jisung arched an eyebrow and pushed Y/N back again with his foot. “I will literally drown you if you say any more corny shit like that.” Jisung hoped that the camera didn’t linger on the way his tender yet trembling hands handled Y/N’s hair, tucked it away behind his ear as Y/N smiled up joyfully at him, the way his smile ignited even brighter as he caught Y/N’s eyes in his own, and how long he held Y/N wrapped up in his bare legs.
“I’d like to see you try!” That low, smug rumble beneath Y/N’s words only grew stronger as he caught Jisung’s foot before he could bring it back and tugged on it to bring Jisung closer. Jisung scrambled for the pool’s edge so he wouldn’t fall into the water, and he left a yelp behind him from where he was sitting comfortably; he could only be comfortable in a realm of chaos like this for so long. Y/N was becoming a member of Dream so seamlessly, in all the good and the not so good ways, with all the love as well as all the teasing and torment.
He should’ve known better than to think he was safe from Y/N at times like these - his safest place, his heaven, but also his battleground, his own little personal, huggable, kissable hell. Though, he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Come on Sungie! Please at least try the water.” Y/N chuckled and kept Jisung’s foot in his hand, locking up his ankle in his grip so he couldn’t scurry away. Jisung wasn’t moving anywhere, though, both paralyzed with fear and suffering in this constant of craving Y/N’s touch, never wanting to waste a moment of laughter and smiles, play fights and scuffles for shared clothes or cell phones to hold for ransom. “I signed a peace treaty with the rest of them, they won’t try to waterboard us - at least most of them won’t, Haechan’s always a wild card…” Y/N gestured toward the rest of NCT Dream, still managing to find new ways to dunk each other underwater, splash each other into oblivion and refusing to let each other live.
“I appreciate the trouble you went through signing a peace treaty,” Jisung started with a faint smile as Y/N’s idle tread in the water brought him slightly closer to Jisung. He didn’t even try to wriggle from Y/N’s grasp, and nudged Y/N’s side with his other foot. He also knew that Y/N didn’t have a problem intermingling with the rest of NCT Dream’s chaos, and because of that, the peace treaty was for Jisung’s safety only.
Jisung found so much wonder in the way Y/N seemed to have any situation wrapped around his finger in moments - his mere command of space made him irresistible, and part of the reason Jisung fell in love with him when he did. Y/N was someone who’s able to make their quiet moments so calming, beautiful and singular, and all their loud moments that seared the sky so lively.
“But there’s no way that I can go over there and not have all their sights on me - they’re animals… I love them to pieces, but they’re wild and crazy and unhinged. You give them anything close to a murder weapon, and then will use it.” Jisung said with a rough whisper that dragged a couple giggles out of Y/N, Y/N let his ankle go and he let his legs float to the surface of the water. “You dragged me out here in the first place, you know! Forcing me outside to get some sunlight and oxygen and shit. And you said it would be enough if I stayed like this!”
Y/N considered it, how he pleaded for Jisung to leave the comfort of the lounge area just outside the bedroom they ended up sharing. He did indeed remember how he managed to coax Jisung out of hiding, by promising that he had to do no more than dip his feet in, no body contact with the water above the knees. However, pulling Jisung into the water, right here, right now, with Jisung off balance, prone, his legs sticking out right on either side of him, the pool wall for leverage against anything Jisung could do to try and pull himself away. It was too perfect to pass up, and before Y/N could even weigh his options of keeping themselves wrapped up in this secluded corner of the pool, the sounds of utter chaos on their periphery, or dragging Jisung into the pool and watching with a twisted smile as Jisung’s villain origin story began right there and then, he already found himself taking Jisung’s legs in his hands, grip tightening.
“Nothing’s ever enough, Sungie.” As Y/N said this, Jisung knew that there was no way out, nowhere to hide. He just needed to prepare to meet the salt in the water, the bellowing of screech-like laughter, and the way Y/N would smile so teasingly at him - he just hoped that he had enough spite and yearning for revenge in his system by the time he was done soaking in Y/N’s smile to still chase him down and shove him into the water. “I’m insatiable.”
“Please have mercy! I have kids-”
“NO MERCY!”
And with one rough tug that was done before it was felt, Jisung was brought flailing helplessly into the water, instantly rising with plumes of splashing water around him, sputtered breaths and his hair drenched, hanging in front of him in one limp, heavy flap of darker brown. He felt the blunt sting of the chlorine and simulated salt in the water rush in and out of him, and he rose and tried to find Y/N by his laughter and the sounds of the other Dream members coming closer with chatter of pure awe.
Jisung pushed his hair back with a grimace, blinking away the water trembling on his lashes, and Y/N finally got full perspective on what he had done and that cute, plush-cheeked monster he had just awakened. Y/N hasn’t known Jisung for long, and they’ve been the way they were - drawn in helplessly to each other - for even less time; however, in each other’s arms, at the ends of each other’s loving words and adoration, was a stage that was set for all sides of Jisung that Y/N didn’t even know could exist.
Not when Y/N was a trainee, fresh off auditions, catching Jisung and his kind, quiet heart whenever he’d drop in to help him with dances; not when Jisung shuffled up to him one sleepless night and held Y/N in his arms to comfort his exhaustion despite how soaked in sweat he was; not when Y/N finally debuted and he began to see the beginnings of Jisung’s wit prick at the end of their conversations and banter off camera; not ever.
But now that they took more than they could manage off camera, Y/N’s been a witness to all of Jisung’s wildness, unhinged and unencumbered craziness - all the ways and emotions that Jisung’s been too self conscious to release anywhere else. He felt safe with Y/N, he learned that every early on, how secure Y/N made him feel. With this safety, however, came many impromptu parades through moonlight expanses past curfew, careless, laughter-filled fights on rented hotel sheets, forward, intense, longing kisses - as if Jisung wanted nothing but to take in the light from Y/N’s smile - that Y/N never knew Jisung could hide behind such such a gentle presence.
This was exactly one of those moments, exactly how they unwound. The chaos of the rest of Dream’s celebration of Y/N dragging Jisung into the water, the jagged waves that signalled them pulling at the water toward Y/N and Jisung to force them into whatever they were doing, it all fell to the background. What existed between Y/N and Jisung was that singular frame of quiet before everything unravelled, whenever Jisung’s voice got low, burrowned beneath Y/N’s skin in a way that Jisung always knew Y/N liked, and whenever that silence, tension - whatever it was - was pulled so taut between them it could snap in a second.
“You better run, Y/N.”
Everything fell away but the sound of Y/N’s heartbeat in his ears. Jisung’s stoic silence, the water dripping from his hair, trailing down all the places Jisung begged for Y/N to kiss regardless of the hickies they would’ve needed to hide - it was all so deafening, nearly horrifying. “Oh shit… I released the kraken…”
Y/N, nearly starting at Jisung’s sudden dash forward, made a break for it despite the rest of Dream blocking his way. The moment Mark and Jeno, who were at the front of the crowd, caught Y/N’s terrified expression, they knew exactly what was happening. They tried to make way for Y/N, give him space to make it as far as he could, Jeno even tried to hold Jisung back a little bit, but no force could slow down Jisung’s direct b-line toward Y/N, not even the cameras catching all of this from multiple angles - all the camera staff, managers, and especially the other Dream members, having the time of their lives watching this unfold.
“No! Please!”
“You said no mercy, bitch!”
Jisung caught Y/N by his wrist and pulled him into his arms, wrapping an arm around Y/N’s neck and clutching his waist to keep him stuck in his grasp. Y/N knew he was caught the moment Jisung reeled him in and didn’t fight it. Whenever Jisung managed to catch him like this, held him close like this, he never wanted to fight it - just feel Jisung’s weight against him. He supposed that he was meant to tremble in pure fear - only partially true - and he guessed he was going to screech at the ways in which Jisung might throw him into the water - which Y/N most definitely would - but Y/N loved these moments so much. And Jisung loved them even more.
It was that tinge of tenderness in all their rough-housing that made everything between them taste so sweet no matter what they were doing, no matter what everyone else saw.
Drawing Y/N even closer, turning away from the cameras by whipping Y/N around and chuckling at the way Y/N yelped in his arms, Jisung pressed his lips to Y/N’s ear, his voice a low murmur - something he hoped even subtitles couldn’t catch.
“Hey.” Jisung whispered, his arm around Y/N’s neck tightening teasingly and his caressed Y/N’s hand with his own under the water - interlacing fingers warped by the water’s colour.
Y/N could feel Jisung’s hand holding his, caressing his, but he wanted to say anything he could to avoid as much collateral damage as possible - and hopefully avoid teasing from the rest of Dream about Jisung being able to toss Y/N around like a ragdoll. “Yes my lord? The most divine of all things, the-”
“Shush, I know all that already.” Jisung let out a breath and squeezed Y/N a little bit tighter, not wanting this moment to end - but it had to, the cameras were zooming in on what looked like a struggle for power. The rest of Dream’s laughter was finally seeping into their little bubble of ripped space and time. Jisung needed to say something fast before he planned to sweet Y/N into the water with a triumphant smile. “It’s just… I’m happy you’re here.”
“Jisung~” Y/N smiled brightly, holding back from kissing Jisung right then and there. But this moment between them allowed Y/N to regain his footing, edging his foot right behind Jisung’s heel - Jisung wasn’t going to have Y/N that easily… “I don’t wanna be anywhere else.”
Before Jisung could smile in response, Y/N already swept Jisung off his unsteady stance on the pool’s tiles and shoved him into the water. Water practically geysered up around them, and Y/N could feel Chenle grasp at his shoulders, Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, and Jaemin filing in to join in on their chaos.
Y/N’s been pretty good at sweeping Jisung off his feet nowadays, and he’s sure this isn’t going to be the last time.
There’s so much of the say still left; the sky’s still blue. Y/N has time to leave Jisung reeling, have him wondering if there’s any limit to how much he could adore a single person in this universe.
*
The sun was beginning to set, leaving its fiery kisses to dance along the clouds sparsely stretched across the sky, and Y/N and the rest of NCT Dream were still exhausted from their shenanigans in the pool during the afternoon. The sunlight on their skin, soaking, caught in their hair like droplets of water, was nearly as tired as they were, and the cameras lazily followed them around their vacation home; Mark, Haechan and Jaemin in the living room, Jeno and Chenle sleeping, Renjun sitting on his bed, staring out the window and listening to music, and Y/N and Jisung sitting outside, enjoying the last breath of colour the summer’s sunset gave them.
Jisung had a hard time believing that there was a point where he didn’t want to leave the house, ever since the camera staff and Y/N dragged him out of bed, pulled him into the pool, and put him between a rock and a hard place as a referee, he could find a single part of himself that wanted to go under that roof. He wanted to enjoy as much of the sun-stained air as he could with Y/N in his arms, and the glow of the burning sunset wrapping around the stray, nearly pearlescent beads of water that trickled down Y/N’s neck.
They were always so caught up in their schedules, held by figurative gunpoint by scrutinising camera lenses and cooped up in practice rooms, green-screened sets, layers of walls, buildings, pale-lit corridors, crowds of staff and managers. And due to this, they never really got to go outside and take a breath, at least without the looming fear of being caught sneaking out into moonlit meadows and abandoned parking lots to do so. Sitting on the same wicker chair, Jisung on one side, Y/N on the other, their legs overlapping and Y/N’s foot tapping absently against Jisung’s leg, they stared out wordlessly toward the colours of the sky and took in the silence - all the spaces in words, sentences, entire pages they’ve rushed to write and fill in for themselves.
Throughout their friendship, and early on into whatever relationship they have now, they always felt the need to compensate for the noise that drowned out their time with their own song. They needed to always be doing something: Loud conversations over instant ramen, fragmented conversations over dance practices, ‘double dates’ to night markets and deserted street food stands with Shotaro and Sungchan - they always felt the need to fill in the gaps of the silence in fear of losing the little time they had together.
Now, though, feeling this weight lifted off of them to constantly find something to say, they enjoyed the quiet between them that said just as much as they could - the quiet of Jisung’s arm around Y/N’s waist, fingertips gently caressing Y/N’s side, the quiet of Y/N’s own arm draped around Jisung’s shoulder, the patter of his foot knocking into Jisung’s. They were finally okay with feeling the quiet, its loose, unravelling sensation.
They could tell that the camera was lingering on them, and by the time they made it back to their shared room, Jisung pushing Y/N onto the bed as soon as the cameras shut off and tackling him before he could regain his balance, they’d already be thinking about what kinda captions would be plastered on screen.
Their sweet reprieve was bent, cracked open slightly, by a couple camera people walking toward them and asking Jisung to take his outstretched leg off the edge of the firepit - they were going to light it, bring all the NCT Dream members together so they could participate in one of their ‘bonding activities’. Jisung claims to not be much of a sentimentalist, words are sometimes hard for him, feelings difficult to read, but Y/N always teases Jisung for how much of a sensitive softie he is whenever they’re together - all the passionate, meaningful, sincere things he says, they make Y/N’s heart swell in a way he never knew it could. Y/N would always get so flustered whenever Jisung would pull him in and in one suave fell swoop, whisper into Y/N’s ear that Jisung just needed the right person - Y/N was his right person.
The rest of NCT Dream were filing out of the house, wrapped up in hoodies, jackets, blankets and beanies, whatever they could find to weather the chill of the darkening sunset and bask in the irony of the fire’s warm glow. With the rest of NCT Dream filling out their chairs, Renjun and Chenle finding an eighth chair to pull up before Y/N reluctantly scooted off Jisung’s lap, they sat attentive to the camera people giving them notes for the activity. They were assigned one member each to give a heartfelt message to, and half the members were already sheepish, stumbling under pressure, and others were wincing at needed to lay their feelings over the campfire like this.
Mark gave one to Haechan that left Haechan egging Mark on for the rest of the night, teasing him relentlessly; Renjun received Jeno; Jeno spilled his words quickly and shyly over the campfire’s glow, but his words still shone; Jaemin received Chenle, turned to him and gave a message that left Chenle bushing, a searing red on his cheeks masked only partly by the amber light of the fire put; Chenle rested a theatrical hand on Jisung’s shoulder and dolled out backhanded compliments Shakespeare style; Y/N received Mark, and struggled to gain momentum, still feeling a little bit awkward voicing his admiration in front of the group like this, but it didn’t stop Mark from gawking, yelling affections across the campfire and back to Y/N.
Finally, everyone was looking to Jisung, and, by process of elimination, everyone was preparing themselves for what he was going to say to Y/N. The rest of NCT Dream - hell, the rest of NCT as a whole - absolutely adored the way Y/N and Jisung existed on their own plane of existence, smiles and touches and embraces, whispers and inside jokes and sweet nothings, all trapped in this annoyingly, frustratingly adorable vacuum. Despite Y/N and Jisung’s best efforts - which, frankly, were barely efforts at all - they’ve been caught several times cuddling in practice rooms, feeding each other half-frozen tteokbokki over kitchen counters, even sneaking quick kisses right out of frame of laggy hotel room live streams like madmen.
They were so proud to not only see Y/N fitting in seamlessly with the rest of them, and of Jisung for findings someone who seems to so effortlessly tear apart his walls and inhibitions, but for the both of them for finding this comfort in each other that was nothing but beautiful to watch and see, and most definitely tease them about.
Jisung, flushed already by the gazes of the other members on him, looked over to Y/N, who kept his eyes low, tracing the patterns in the stones of the fire pit. Watching Y/N avert his eyes shyly, nudge the ground with the tip of his run down trainers, Jisung felt a smile seep through his contemplatively pursed lips; having Y/N here felt so right, as if NCT was meant to have him fall right into their arms at the exact moment he stunned everyone with his talents, and found his way into a spot on NCT’s roster.
The road to where Y/N was now wasn’t always the easiest, it was rocky, peppered with jagged, rough patches where Y/N wanted to do nothing but give up, collapse into a pile of sweaty clothes and withered dreams on linoleum floors. Y/N’s constantly restrained fears and doubt nearly overflowing, bursting at his weathered seams, he’s felt so uncertain about where to settle his weight in the group, scared that one wrong move would shatter everything he’s worked so hard for.
What if the members didn’t like him? What if he was going to be run off his position in Dream by people who didn’t think he deserved it? What if that odd, uncomfortable tension that Y/N and Jisung initially sparked with each other would never fade away? What Y/N aws that one weight that would tip the scales of NCT’s delicate balance and leave everyone struggling to carry his burden? Questions like this haunted Y/N, a shadow Y/N could never shed for the longest time - and sometimes, on nights where Y/N can’t seem to shake himself off, these doubts parade relentlessly, tirelessly in his head.
“Hey, Y/N…” Jisung started off, his voice receding in on itself, stumbling over Jisung’s tongue as he trailed off with awkward laughter that left everyone else giggling around him. “We’ve really grown a lot, haven’t we?”
Y/N, with a small smile, looked up to Jisung, watching the way Jisung bit his lip as he pieced his words together. It was always so natural for Jisung to sing his praises for Y/N, but this time he really wanted to say something. He loved Y/N - Y/N was the first person who ever made him feel this pure, relentless, deep, profound type of love that left him reeling - and he wanted this to mean something.
“Our journey to where we are today hasn’t been the easiest one… When you were first announced as a new member of Dream, and when you first walked into that practice room with all of us staring at you, I was hit with a lot of conflicting emotions… But all I know now, looking back on it, was that I was immature, didn’t know what to think or how to act and because of that, I gave you the cold shoulder - we fought a lot, and I know that was the last thing you deserved. You were so stressed about so many things, and I just added onto all the weight on your shoulders at the time because I was struggling with and unsure of how to make you feel welcome - I literally did the exact opposite, I made you feel like an outsider - and I'm really sorry.” Jisung took a breath, far from done. “I’m so happy that we’ve grown - I’ve grown - and we have each other in the way that we do now. I’ll speak for everyone when I say that you being here is a blessing - it felt like you being in this group was always meant to be, and that piece in the group that we always felt was missing was filled as soon as you walked through those doors. You shine such a light on us, surround us with so much positivity and happiness, and sometimes I ask myself if I deserve you.”
Jisung caught himself and the weight he put on that last claim, his uncertain eyes flicking up to see Y/N smiling timidly into the fire’s light. Everyone watched them shuffle closer to each other, stare into each other’s eyes, and with a flourish, a sweet smile and a hand reaching over to take Y/N’s, Jisung continued when Y/N squeezed his fingers back.
“I don’t know the answer to that question yet, but all I know is that we do have you, I have you, and I feel so fortunate that you’re here. I don’t want you to ever question your place here, this is your home, I’m your home, and now that you’re here with us forever, I’m gonna do my best to take care of you…”
Y/N kept his eyes on the ground for a moment, as feeling the weight of Jisung’s words left him unable to pick them up any higher. Things were good now, things were borderline seamless with the way Y/N’s been invited into NCT, involved in all their activities, taken in by each of the members and made to feel as if he belonged there. But he couldn’t help but find his memories of how he started out creep back into his head every now and then, the stiff awkwardness that left Y/N on the other side of practice rooms, days subsisting on lukewarm water and loops of NCT music because he didn’t want to cause a fuss, sleepless nights on practice room floors wondering what he did wrong whenever Jisung would’ve brushed him off for the second time that day.
Despite how everything has changed, Y/N still thinks about those moments and feels uncertain about his place here, in the middle of NCT Dream - a group that’s been seven for as long as he’s admired them from afar, and for as long as he’s been training under SM with no hopes of making it any further and no place to go back to if he left. Everything that Jisung just said, every word hitting Y/N like one of Jisung’s nudges to his chest, felt like a massive breath of relief. Y/N knew that the relief and ease was there, it was apparent enough for Y/N not to hesitate before sitting down at tables or between Jeno and Jaemin on couches. But it was still blurred around the edges, as if all this peace and flowers after the rain could be snatched away in a second.
Y/N was so used to living in this state of oscillating bliss and fear of losing everything he had - not knowing if he deserved it all. But Jisung was here, his hand in Y/N’s, telling him that he did. He deserved everything, he deserved the world and as much as Jisung could ever give him.
There was a thoughtful silence around all the members, and Jisung looked away from where he was stroking Y/N’s fingers, down to the floor and shuffling his slippers against the stone flooring. However, something brought his head snapping back up, a bitten-lipped sob that tore the quiet between the members by the corners.
“Y/N…”
Y/N stifled another sob in his arm and tried to push it all back, but he couldn’t. Before he knew it Jisung was shooting out of his seat to wrap himself around Y/N, and Y/N was burying his face into Jisung’s shoulder, letting Jisung pull him out of the seat and feeling his arms wind around Jisung’s waist. “I… I’m sorry.”
“No, don’t be. Don’t be sorry.” Jisung felt his breath tying a knot in his throat as well as he could feel Y/N’s shaking hands steady against him, his suppressed cries nestling in the curve of his neck, all the sadness, tension, doubt, and insecurity Y/N held in weathered hands struggling to let go of all of it at once. “Please don’t be sorry…” Jisung felt his voice crumble, slip out from under him, and he brought Y/N closer, even closer to him.
He shut out all the collective ‘aw’s and coos whipping up around them like the cinders and sparks from the campfire in the middle of them, and felt nothing but Y/N’s hitched breaths against him, the warmth of his skin as he pressed his lips to Y/N’s neck away from the camera’s view. Even as the other Dream members closed on them and each other in a group hug, a couple of the members’ hands reached to mess up Y/N and Jisung’s hair, smooth against their backs, Y/N and Jisung felt nothing but each other.
Feeling the last of the sun’s light drip down to the horizon, the camera people wrapped up the shooting for the scenes outside and left NCT Dream as they were, one massive tangle of embraces by the remains of the campfire. They moved inside to begin recording footage for the rest of the evening inside the house.
“All these emotions are making me hungry…” Y/N murmured into Jisung’s shoulder and heard everyone laugh with them. He felt everyone unfurl themselves from the group hug except for Jisung, who stayed close, arms around Y/N’s waist, and followed the rest of NCT Dream into the house for the night.
Just before going back into the house, Jisung tugged gently on Y/N’s fingers to bring him around and away from the glowing ivory lights of the kitchen. They could already hear Jaemin bellowing out ideas for dinner, and knew that Chenle was reaching into the fridge for things that he wanted to make regardless. Taking Y/N’s hands into his own, kissing Y/N’s knuckles in a way that always made a bright smile bloom on Y/N’s lips, Jisung looked into Y/N’s eyes with a small grin of his own. He was trying to think of something to say, to break the stillness of the darkening sky wrapping around them - maybe he pulled Y/N away from the others for a moment just to watch the serene, final breaths of the sunset’s shine against his skin. Sometimes, looking at Y/N was enough whenever Jisung fumbled too much with his sentiments.
Y/N took a breath and shuffled closer to fill in the space between them, already thinking of how to say what he knows Jisung is probably thinking - he’s used to doing that, finishing their cut-short sentences, making sense of all of Jisung’s incoherent but beautiful ramblings. He nudged Jisung’s cheek with his nose, and earned a chuckle and a smile stretched wide in return. “I really appreciate what you said, Sungie… It meant a lot to hear that.”
“I…” Jisung let his hands rise up on instinct to Y/N’s face, fingertips tracing over the violet shadows the sunset cast over Y/N’s face, his lustrous eyes, sweet smile. He wanted to take it all in right now. “I’m not the best with words, I guess… But I could still feel you thinking about it sometimes. I just want you to know how much I really love you.”
‘Love’... It wasn’t a word they necessarily used often, and that was mostly because they hardly knew what it was. Their only exposure to it was when they first walked into each other’s lives, through those practice room doors where Jisung felt this magnetism, this gravity about Y/N that he’s never felt before. Now, though, as they’ve spent more time together, they understood that it wasn’t just a feeling that kept them reeling each other back in, pulled toward each other’s hands, and kept their gazes drifting to each other throughout practices. It was something precious, something that only bloomed in Jisung for Y/N, and something that only bloomed in Y/N for Jisung. It was their special little treasure, this revelation that they never had to share with anybody.
They didn’t say that they loved each other often because they didn’t really know what they were to each other. They were two people who shared this intense, unyielding love for one another, but relationship wise, they were too overwhelmed with what they were supposed to call each other. They shared time, affections, words and stories they’d give to nobody else, pieces of their heart, their love, they just never got to that point where they wanted to fill in that blank in what their relationship was really supposed to mean. However, when they did say that they loved each other, in those passionate moments of quiet, where the space between their bodies was completely closed and their lips hung off their breaths and the corners of their smiles, it was a reminder of everything they were and all the things they still had room to be.
“I love you, Y/N… I love you so much.” Y/N was Jisung’s everything - and so, Jisung resorted to calling Y/N his everything, that person who encompassed every single part of his life in ways he could never imagine. “I mean it when I say you’re my everything, Y/N, and I’m gonna do my best to be your everything too.”
“You’re already my everything, Sungie… You don’t need to try.” Y/N brought his hands up too, holding Jisung by his cheeks and caressing at the edges of where Jisung’s flush began to fade under the sky’s copper light. “You’ve been my driving force ever since the day you could finally be in a room with me for more than five minutes.”
“Y/N~” With exasperated laughter, Jisung rested his forehead on Y/N’s, nudging Y/N’s nose with his own as his laughter curled up into sheepish shrieks. He shuffled closer when Y/N brought his hands down, fingertips caressing Jisung’s edges so delicately, and slid them into the pockets of Jisung’s sweatpants. “Oh my God… I was such an asshole…”
“It’s okay though. You stopped rolling your eyes whenever we spoke and I was instantly turned on.” Y/N hid his face in Jisung’s hands as their giggles intertwined and whipped up into the air, their voices like the flames of the campfire that were just starting to die down. Y/N smiled even brighter, thinking about how Jisung still rolled his eyes when Y/N spoke - almost all the time at this point - but it was out of sheer determination not to melt at everything that Y/N said instead of feigned indifference now.
“I hate the way I made you feel…” Cupping Y/N’s face with his hands, Jisung’s gaze wandered over everything - the shimmer in his eyes, that upward turn in his lips that just waited for a smile, the glow in his skin, the starlight between his teeth that’s singed every inch of Jisung’s body at this point. They’ve grown so much in such a short time, yet there were things about Y/N and all his radiance that Jisung knows are going to remain forever and constant. “I have no idea how there was a time when I wasn’t completely head over heels for you.”
“Well, now that you’re head over heels for me, I guess we don’t have to worry about back then anymore. If you’re not gonna let me worry about everything from the past, then I won’t let you do it either.” Y/N rocked on his toes and hummed as Jisung tipped his chin up, their lips barely a flicker of setting sunlight apart - petals of fractured moonlight, withered violets of another evening gone by, they had no space to bloom between them.
They entwined their lips, the stars in their endless smiles colliding in a way that felt like everything was falling into place. Every one of their kisses was like this. The long and slow ones on their few off days in Jisung’s empty room; joyous and erratic ones dotted in between play fights on practice room floors - whispers of ‘I love you’s before Y/N would pin Jisung to the dirty laminate floor; quick ones in split second before the camera starts recording; and the ones soaked in sapphire moonlight that they wouldn’t trade for the world. Every single one felt more perfect, burned more blissfully, and drowned their senses, leaving them numb and idling in each other’s gravity, even more than the last.
They pulled back from each other, the aftertaste of strawberry sunsets, velvet skies and honeyed sunlight singeing their lips just as Jisung dove in for another. Y/N, nearly breathless, in the way that Jisung always left him, leaned into his chest and felt the sunlight finally burn itself black, trickle down past the horizon, the sky darken over them in one cool, blue breath.
“By the way, I love you too…”
“I was wondering when you were gonna get to that.”

mark (but not lee)
park jisung x male reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
cw: jealous sex, dom-ish top jisung, fwb relationship, marking kink, breeding kink, degradation, dumbification, overstimulation, spanking, rough sex, idol au, y/n is in a group, porn with not so much plot, bit of praising, kinda fluff-ish at the end.
it was the end of an award show, all the groups were in stage saying goodbyes and greeting fans, y/n was giggling and being so touchy with other idols without realizing that this was making a certain idol jealous, park jisung, who decided to walk towards him and give him a hug "see you in the dressing room when this ends" he whispered sending shivers down y/n's spine.
what started as a friends with benefits agreement escalated quickly to a one-sided love by jisung. unbeknownst to him that it wasn’t one-sided at all.
“i'm here.. what do you want?”.
“watch your tone slut.. why so bratty all of a sudden?” asked jisung with a smirk plastered on his face “you don't want my cock” he grabs his bulge “or maybe you've already taken one up your tight, warm hole” he snickered.
“jisung what the fuc-” the top grabbed y/n by the arm throwing him towards a table and then locking his hand around y/n's neck “i saw you out there being so touchy with some idols. i bet you were begging them to fuck your greedy whore hole like the cocksleeve you are” the degradation going directly towards y/n's dick.
jisung felt something poking his stomach “woah.. you truly are a dirty whore who gets off by others telling you how you're nothing but a sex toy to be used as we see fit” he licked his lips.
sounds of skin slapping echoed in the dark room, y/n's moans being muffled by jisung's fingers deep inside his mouth. “tell. me. who. you. belong. to” every word accompanied by a harsh thrust, “answer me fucking slut”. “you~.. park ji-jisung” y/n somehow managed to said with jisung's fingers still in his mouth.
jisung had you folded up on the table, holding y/n's ankles down with his knees near his head, slamming his hips into y/n so hard drawing whimpers from the bottom's mouth “this way you would always remember that i own you. your hole belongs to me and i'm the only one allowed to pump you with cum, is it clear?” he slapped y/n's cheek. “yeshh~ only youu~” drool spilling out of the dumbified y/n's mouth.
“so dumb for my cock” he whispers, kissing y/n next. this time jisung had y/n in a mating press position thrusting in and out, but everytime he pulled out he made sure to go in as hard as he could, destroying that tasty hole. “look at this gaping hole such a pretty sight” jisung watched how the hole clenches “this hole is so inviting and i can't deny it” he spat inside the hole watching how it goes down the hole disappearing seconds later “you make me so fucking horny” he grunted while his hand landed on y/n's ass, leaving a red hand mark on the ass cheek, repeating the same process again and again until the ass was in a bright red color.
y/n came after all that spanking, his cum dripping down his shaft, “s-so m..uch~” the overstimulation hitting him so he tried to stop jisung but his pleas were in vain. “aww it's my slutty boy tired? yeah?” he pouted in a mocking way caressing y/n's cheek “but i haven't cum yet. and as the good boy you are i know you're gonna let me use you until i'm satisfied right?”, y/n wanting it to end quickly just nodded and with a sloppy kiss they sealed the deal.
the next minutes jisung went wild fucking and growling as he was an animal leaving marks and bites across y/n's body, except those ‘risky'parts, to reaffirm his position as y/n's owner. “you look so pretty with all those marks on your body don't you think so?” once again y/n just nodded because of how tired he was “soo~ pretty…” he smiled. deep down he loved jisung's possessive behavior in the sex.
finally jisung came inside the abused hole making sure it reaches as deep as he could. he then pulls out, using his veiny hand he slapped and fingered the hole “c'mon baby push it out” he hurries y/n by kissing him in the neck “do it for me pretty boy.. c'mon” jisung then puts a third finger inside the abused hole “holy shit!” yelled y/n squirting all the cum inside him, staining part of the table and the floor he does that a few times more “it was… a lot~” he pants.
“yeah but you did so well tonight. i'm so proud of you” both then kissed and got ready to dress and leave the room that stank of sex and cum..
“you were so wild back there” y/n commented in their ride back to the dorms “i'm sorry” jisung replies “it's just.. it's just that i was a bit jealous” he added.
“but why would you be jealous… it's not like we're something” y/n said that last part in a low tone but jisung heard it. “i wish we were something tho” he says while looking out of the window, the street lights highlighting his beautiful face. “wait what? what do you mean?” said y/n surprisingly. jisung sighed “i love you y/n”. both make eye contact and y/n grabs jisung hands “why didn't you tell me before?”. “i-i didn't want to say it and then scared you and have to watch you walk away from me... i really love you a lot and when i see you with someone else i get jealous because deep down i wish that was m–” he was interrupted by y/n's lips locking with his, “i love you too silly” y/n said and then both laughed while touching foreheads “you just made me so fucking happy y/n. wanna eat something?” jisung asked caressing y/n's cheeks.

orbit of yours !
"power couple, really?" "you have to listen to me!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: park jisung has always admired you. hardworking, effortlessly beautiful, talented, humble— you're pretty much the personification of the word 'perfect' (you would disagree though), but your relationship has never gotten past "admirers that occasionally exchange words", so jisung has vanquished the idea of possibly being in love with you because of your lack of interactions, he's just an avid admirer of yours! so when a few accidents and mishaps force (more like drive) the two of you to be in the same room more than you ever had in the past, the idea doesn't just remain a random fantasy crafted by jisung's mind, it becomes reality.
pairing: park jisung x male!reader
genre: high school au, acquaintances to friends to lovers, photographer!reader x soccer player!jisung, fluff, kinda comedy (im not funny), mutual pining, literally no angst, fast burn lowkey, sungchan helps reader realize his feelings and it's hilarious
warnings: swearing, mentions of burnout, oblivious bitches deny their feelings for a good 10k words, this is fucking cheesy, the nightmare which is senior year
word count: 12.2k
notes: GOOD LORD IT IS FINALLY DONE! i don't wanna be overdramatic or anything but this is genuinely one of my most favorite works ever, if you couldn't tell i am VERY jisung biased and im so happy to finally be done with this because it's honestly been so fun to write 🙁 i didn't beat the xiaojun fic in terms of words but this the second longest fic i have ever written and for my jisung debut its impressive that there is absolutely NO ANGST here, i'm just very proud of myself for this and i hope people like reading it as much as i enjoyed writing it.. this is for all the park jisung lovers 👍
Tumblr media
"WHEN WILL YOU ACTUALLY GET A PARTNER?" chenle asks the question so many times that jisung assumes the sentence has been programmed into his brain. what is it— like the 3rd time this week? he thinks chenle might be more obsessed with his love life than he is with actual important things, like college, graduation preparations, his role as a member of the student council, anything but jisung's uneventful love life, because that was probably the least interesting thing going on in his own life at the moment. "come on jisungie! i heard aejung has a crush on you!" he lets out a familiar groan, giving his friends a 'cut it out' look. "i don't really care about that kind of stuff.."
he hears all the frustrated sighs from his friends, and jisung just chuckles. he knows about the many surprisingly many— people who find themselves attracted to him. he acknowledges the fact that he has a lot of admirers, that a lot of people would perceive themselves as lucky to be in a relationship with him, he isn't new to the idea at all, he doesn't really get what makes him so attractive, such an eyeopener to his fellow students, but he mostly accepts the gifts given to him by his so called "admirers" nonetheless, not wanting to make them disappointed.
now, he says mostly because there are just times where he has no choice but to turn them down. some people get into their own heads too much, and he doesn't want to give some of them false hopes by accepting their gifts. that happened once, where a girl thought the two of them were dating because he decided to accept her gift as a sign of appreciation, that's when jisung learned that he couldn't just accept any and all gifts given to him by admirers who so greatly wanted a chance with him. jisung isn't so concerned about gifts, he wants a person who will be psychically and emotionally present for him, not someone who'll just buy him random things.
"it's gotten a little annoying.. all the confessions" jisung mutters, closing the textbook he had been jotting in. "they're nice yeah but some people just take it too far" he finally finishes, earning some confused looks from his friends. he just shrugs, shoving the textbook he had previously been jotting in into his backpack.
"but you're just so boring!" chenle whines, pressing his cheek against jisung's shoulder. jisung doesn't even try shaking him off, knowing that any of his attempts will be useless. "come on! all these people who would love to be with you and your still a lonely little loser!"
"loser? oh come on!"
"you know i'm right!"
jisung scoffs, lightly shoving chenle. while yeah, it's nice to have a lot of people admire him, everyone expects him to do this and that and act a certain way. it's like they enjoy perpetuating a false image onto him rather than actually admiring him for who he really is, and jisung doesn't think he should give people like that the time of day, they piss him off more than anything.
he's a little lost in his thought when a familiar voice sounds in his ears, a couple of giggles following the sound. "you're too funny y/n!" one of them shouted, poking a familiar figure in the shoulder, and jisung's eyes fall on you immediately, as if on instinct. you were looking as you always did, a familiar dslr camera hanging from your neck, that polite smile on your face as your friend continues poking your shoulder.
lately, you'd been quite the topic of interest among your fellow schoolmates. now that's not abnormal at all, you somehow always manage to be the talk of the town in school, you could do the smallest thing and somehow people could still make huge talk about it.
jisung would never say it, not out loud or even in mutters to himself, but he's always held a unique admiration for you, one he doesn't think he could actually put into words. there's something about you that pulls jisung in, like your a magnet and he's an oblivious piece of metal, slowly getting closer and closer to you without being able to do anything about it.
everything about you is beautiful. your eyes are a beautiful brown color, your smile is a beautiful stretch that shows off your perfect white teeth, your hair is a beautiful mix of raven and brunette. oh, and your voice is so beautiful too, it's so soft, gentle, but also deep.
you're like an angel.
at least to jisung you are.
it's pretty funny, actually, your so wrapped up in your own things that you barely notice the sheer amount of people who want to date you. you don't acknowledge romantic advances a lot, and even when you do, it always ends in rejection. you talk a lot, and your words are always pure and witty, your laughter is natural, your smile is contagious.
but.. jisung doesn't like you. he only likes you in the friend kinda way, he just wants to be friends with you. you look nice! smell nice, dress nice, speak nice..
jisung knows a lot more about you than his friends do. despite the fact that the two of you have never officially deemed yourselves "friends", he's always known little facts about you, as you him. the two of you have been going to school together for seven years, so the idea of not knowing anything about each other seems ridiculous.
you're a photographer, your favorite color is blue, specifically lighter shades, your favorite subject is history, your lucky number is 2 because of your birthdate being 02/02/02, your favorite flowers are daisies, you don't really enjoy sports, but if you were to choose one to play, it'd be baseball, and you want to go to college for journalism.
but jisung can't say that he likes you, because even if you two know all these things about each other, you've never considered yourselves "friends", all you do is admire from afar—
and when you do interact, it's just short and sweet sentences exchanged between you two, mostly because the both of you are so busy, that you can't afford to just stop and talk. sometimes, jisung wishes his life was just a little less hectic and he could stop and talk to you, because that's what he wants to do.
"what's with you?" jisung immediately yelps as chenle flicks his forehead, and he resists the urge to punch the older in the face. "gawking at y/n? really?"
"i'm not—" jisung hates that he feels his face burn. "i'm not gawking, i'm just.. i was just looking at him".
"looking at him with hearts in your eyes".
jisung scoffs at chenle's audacity, as if he wasn't doing exactly that a good few minutes ago. he would never admit it out loud before, so why should he admit it now? he'd never live it down if anybody ever found out..
"you know.." chenle begins, tapping his finger onto the desk in front of him. "you two would be a great couple" and the words are enough to make jisung roll his eyes once again. "a power couple!"
"power couple, really?" jisung raises an eyebrow, chenle never fails to say something that confuses him. he finds the words to be ridiculous, but his reaction just seems to make chenle even more giddy, because he continues;
"you have to listen to me!" chenle persists, and jisung is about to check out of the conversation completely.
"y/n is a photographer for sports journalism, you play soccer, you've known each for what.. ever? he's pretty, you clearly have the hots for him—"
"i do not!" jisung immediately yells in rebuttal, much louder than he wanted to. "yeah he's.. cute but anyone with eyes can see that, i'm not in love with him or anything".
chenle raises an eyebrow, suspicious, but jisung remains stubborn, crossing his arms as he averts his gaze from his best friend.
yes, you are cute, anybody with two functioning eyes can see that.
"i think park jisung might have a crush on you".
at the words, you look up from your camera, meeting eyes with your close friend, sungchan. you blink, as if dumbfounded, then snicker. "park jisung? are you trying to boost my ego or something?"
you know park jisung, you know about how probably half the students in this room dream of having a chance with him. so many people like park jisung, so many people want park jisung.
and if you think about it, you can't exactly blame them for that..
"don't laugh! i'm serious! he looked like he was about to devour you, did you see his eyes!?"
the words just get another laugh out of you, the words seem ridiculous in your eyes, because why would park jisung, beautiful, talented, striking park jisung have a crush on you? in your eyes, your pretty much nothing to him.
"okay.. why would park jisung ever be interested in me?" you ask, rearranging your camera as you raise an eyebrow at sungchan, who simply deadpans at you, that familiar 'are you serious?' look in his eyes.
"okay let me see, your smart, pretty, everyone likes you at this point, also— the two of you are pretty much perfect for each other! you'd be a power couple!"
you furrow your eyebrows, a power couple? you'd never heard that phrase used to talk about somebody your friends had been "shipping" you with, your not even sure if you can even consider yourself friends with jisung, because the two of you can never actually talk to each other without someone coming up and interrupting the interaction.
you'd love to just be able to talk to park jisung, just the two of you, one on one.
"power couple? that's funny.."
"you think everything is funny" ironically, you laugh at your friends words. "this could be like— your only chance at having an actual romantic connection with someone".
"i don't care that much about romance, chan" you muse, humming as you turn off your camera. your eyes wander over to jisung, who is very much distracted by something stupid chenle is saying, he's laughing about something, laughing hard too.
there is no reason for him to look so pretty as he laughs like a maniac..
he's cute, you say in your mind, he is absolutely adorable.
Tumblr media
"WHAT DID YOU GUYS GET ON THAT STATISTICS TEST FOR SONG?" a boy from the same year and member of the soccer team along with jisung inquired. they sat on the bleachers in front of field, watching as the baton club practices. they have to practice this week, unfortunately, so jisung's schedule had become tight and packed, he barely had any free time these days, it was all exams, college tours, last minute extracurriculars, and practice, practice, practice. "i got a b plus" one of his classmates responds, the other responded; "i got a b on mine". jisung was very far removed from the current conversation, his eyes on a familiar trio of sports journalists on the other side of the field, a trio which included you, mesmerizing you. he sees you often these days, with that same dslr camera around your neck, a pretty smile stuck on your face.
"you, jisung! what score did you get?" one of his classmates asks, but jisung was occupied, so he didn't answer. a tap on his shoulder makes jisung snap out of his staring fit, and he blinks a few times, assessing where he is. "what?"
"we were asking about the marks on the recent statistics test!"
"ah" jisung presses his lips together. "i got an a plus" he says the words casually, but it causes for a cheer to be sounded by his fellow classmates, who shook him and slapped his back supportively.
"you're so smart jisungie!"
the praise from his classmates get a smile out of jisung, but he isn't focusing on that, his attention is on you. even with how your across the field, he can clearly see all of your features, the sun shining on your face makes you look majestic, like an actual angel, jisung isn't sure why he's even focusing so much on your face, but he can't focus on anything else, because his eyes just naturally always wander over to you.
"will this ever finish?" you inquire, pertaining to the baton club, who were still on the field even after they were supposed to get off. "i'm supposed to take photos of the soccer players for my editorials.." you mutter, it'd be horrible if you couldn't even deliver on the promise you made to your superiors.
"they're probably going to split the field" your fellow sports journalist, taehyun says. a small groan escapes your lips, you're annoyed, you hope this doesn't interfere with the photos you have to take, it'd be horrible if you just ended up doing the same thing all over again. "see? baton club is taking one side and the soccer team takes the main area because they need to start practicing now".
"they look so cute! i've always wanted to be apart of the soccer team!" lee sohee exclaims, and you turn towards him, a look of interest on your face. he attentively watches the boys, humming to the song that's playing. "why didn't you join them then?" you inquire, interest peaked.
sohee smiles at you, readjusting his camera and fixing his posture. "i enjoyed writing the editorial articles more" he shrugs. "wanted to try out but i missed the tryouts because eunseok hyung would have killed me if i missed anton's recital" at the words, you laugh, used to the behavior from the older boy.
"maybe next year".
"you'd fit in perfectly!" taehyun muses, and sohee brightens up, seemingly loving the words.
"really!? that's what seunghan tells me too!" he cheers at the words, looking proud of himself. "i'd look cute in that uniform though.."
you chuckle at sohee's word, finding him to be absolutely adorable. "yeah, you definitely would" you ruffle his hair, smiling at the giggle which sounds from the boy.
"i'm gonna go get a closer look at them" you say, motioning towards the soccer team. taehyun nods and watches as you get closer to the field, not super close, but close enough that your camera can capture a good view of the soccer team. you narrow your eyes, pointing your camera at the busy boys who are doing their usual routine, the viewfinder shows jisung in all his glory.
you take pictures, zooming in and out. you don't mean to put all the focus on jisung, he's just too alluring to not be the center of attention. he's such a natural, he's just so amazing, you can't not focus on him.
[click.]
and another shot, another one as jisung scores the goal. jisung's posture was perfect, his back straight, chin high as he wore an angelic smile. jisung hears the clicking of the camera, and looks to his left to see you, in the viewfinder you see jisung looking in your direction, you pause for a moment and notice a baton heading straight towards him.
"jisung watch out!" you yell, at the words, he tilts his head.
you quickly take the strap of the camera off your neck, throwing it until it landed right beside your fellow journalists, who looked as confused as jisung did. you ran as fast as you could, grabbing jisung's wrist and pulling him close to you.
the baton managed to hit the ground instead, and jisung shrieks as he loses his balance, toppling forward. he quickly grabs onto the closest thing to him.
you.
you lowered your arms to catch jisung, and you feel him hold onto the sleeves of your blazer, one of your arms on his stomach, the other on his waist. all his weight was in your arms, causing for you to lose balance too.
"shit—" you swear, falling onto your back. jisung fell on top of you, the grass tickling his skin. your back immediately hits the grass, and your head hits the ground softly, but your arms remain around jisung. jisung's hands were still on your arms, his upper body laid on top of yours, his head was buried into your shoulder, and he was sat in between your legs.
jisung takes a sharp breath, a look of worry quickly flashes in his eyes as he sees you. "holy shit y/n are you okay!?" jisung asks, pulling away from your prior position and you sit up, opening your eyes to meet his worried ones. jisung kneels, leaning closer to you as he cups your cheeks with his hands. "did you get hurt? is your head okay!?" he asks, or yells, turning your head to inspect for any signs of wounds. you just stare at him, his bangs that messily lay against his forehead, his eyes that glimmered under the sunlight, and his pink lips that you totally just want to lean over and touch with your own.
"yeah.." you whisper, your cheeks squished from the force of jisung's hands.
jisung stops turning your head and sighs. "are you sure?" he asks, still holding your face. you nod, placing one of your hands on jisung's, his are soft, yours are rough, you note. you move his hand and smile. "i'm alright don't worry" you respond, still holding jisung's hand. jisung pursues his lips, and he extends his hand out, pulling you up from the ground. you let go of his hand, dusting off your pants.
"jesus y/n" taehyun's voice sounds from behind you, and you finally glance away from jisung, eyes focused on your friend. "are you okay? your not injured are you?"
"i'm fine.." you mumble again, blinking as taehyun suddenly hands you your camera. ah, he'd picked it up for you. you take it, inspecting it to make sure it's not broken.
"is the camera okay?" jisung inquires, looking over your shoulder to stare at it.
luckily, it wasn't damaged because it had fallen on the soft grass. "it's still working" you respond, and the two boys beside you let out a sigh of relief, with taehyun placing a hand on his chest.
"jisung! come back here!" his coach quickly yells, jisung looks to you, then back to his teammates. "thanks, i owe you" he says before running back towards his group, fetching the soccer ball he'd left on the ground prior.
"wow your like a hero!" sohee exclaims, shaking your shoulder with a smile. you just let out a nervous laugh, scratching your arm. you give one last glance at jisung before you feel your face heat up excessively, so you quickly turn away, putting your camera back around your neck.
"we should go back in now" you say, you don't say any more words as you quickly make your way towards the doors. your friends blink, exchanging glances in confusion, but they quickly follow you back inside.
"y/n! wait up!"
jisung watches you three leave, feeling his heart racing against his chest.
what the hell just happened? he asks himself.
"jisung are you okay!?" a very familiar voice shrieks. jisung turns to meet his fellow teammate jooyeon, looking concerned as ever.
"i'm alright, thanks for asking" he answers, gaze lowering down to his nails, which he quickly starts picking.
"are you sure? you looked like you hit your head pretty hard" the younger boy, as always, just wants to make sure jisung isn't lying, he's genuine like that. he pokes jisung's forehead, as if he was inspecting him.
"seriously, i'm fine" jisung lowers his hand, giving him his default 'i'm okay' smile. "y/n cushioned the blow anyway.."
"you were so close to him!" jisung startles as keum donghyun comes out of nowhere. "how did it feel? was it like a dream come true?"
"i—" jisung is speechless, he closes his mouth and blinks a good seven times before even actually assessing the question.
how did it feel?
jisung doesn't know how to express it. he didn't want to think about it in that way because you'd just done such a good deed, you saved him from flying metal going straight towards his head, he shouldn't have been thinking about the lack of distance between you two, he shouldn't have been staring at your lips, and he shouldn't have been thinking about kissing you.
his face must be so unbearably red right now.
"don't ask that! it was just very abrupt.. also, i can't think of him like that! he saved me from a flying baton, i'm just grateful for him".
jooyeon hums in agreement, slapping donghyun's shoulder for him ever asking such a thing. "that's right, you should probably get him a token of appreciation or something".
jisung blinks, trying to imagine what he should ever gift you. he truly has no idea, he's not sure if he should go over and beyond, or just give you a little gift as to not intimidate you. "i can't really think of anything, i don't want to overwhelm him or something, he just wanted to do a nice thing.."
"i'm sure he'll be appreciative of anything!"
at the words, jisung just sighs, smiling.
what a hero, l/n y/n— you really are something, he thinks.
"yeah— i'll think about it".
"good! back to practice now!"
jisung doesn't think he will ever fully be able to focus on practice, though.
Tumblr media
"YOU LOOK LIKE YOU'VE BEEN RAN OVER BY A TRAIN" the words from the older boy, yang jeongin, snap you out of your polaroid staring daze. you flinch just the slightest, eyes peeling away from the scattering pictures which litter your desk. you rub your eyes, clearing your throat as you quickly gather all of the photos on your desk, hoping the eye bags present on your face weren't completely obvious. knowing jeongin though, they were definitely obvious. "thanks for the kind words" you respond sarcastically, a small eye roll accompanying your words. the older boy snickers, situating himself beside you, a teasing smile on his face. he props his legs up, blinking at you. "seriously though, you look like you haven't slept in years, are you alright?"
"i'm as alright as someone looking to pursue journalism can be.." you mutter back, placing the photos which were previously on your desk into your backup, a small sigh escapes your lips. "all of my applications are still pending.."
"seriously? i assume you would've been accepted into any of those schools by now!"
"you know how it all goes, they get hundreds— heck, thousands of applications every day, i just have to be patient".
jeongin raises an eyebrow, then just shrugs at you, humming. "there's no need to worry, y/n, you'll get into a good school".
you chuckle at his words, he totally read your mind when it came to that. "i'm not worried about anything" you lie; "i'll be okay, i know".
but do you?
your absolutely tired the whole entire day, you tried your best to focus in your classes, but you couldn't help your head slipping down and the way you almost slipped off to dreamland whilst your teachers were asking you very much audible questions.
"did you sleep last night?" sungchan asks you in the middle of your afternoon break, poking your arm as if to wake up. "you look like a zombie.."
"i slept a few.. hours?" your tone is very much a questioning one, as if you didn't even believe your own words. "i don't know, i was too busy fighting with lin, apparently i'm not good enough at what i do to consider journalism".
paired with the lack of response to your several applications, you weren't having the best week, it was all becoming just a little too much for you.
graduation is just too far away..
"anyway! did you choose the photos you'll put in the editorial yet?"
you think, for a while. you felt as if you had stared at so many polaroids by this point, that they're probably going to start appearing in your dreams, with the lack of sleep, constant flashing of cameras and just news news news, you've really had no time to focus on other things.
"i haven't even found time to think about the editorial" you whine, a weary sigh escaping your lips as you think about how pissed off your higher up is gonna be if you almost miss the deadline once again. "is the deadline coming up?"
"well— is four days a close deadline for you?"
you gasp, loudly, almost throwing your camera across the hallway. "four days!? four days until the deadline seriously!?"
you usually aren't like this. you are usually very calm, cool, and collected, but your week has been just the definition of a shit storm, and everything just seems getting worse and worse.
"hey, it's okay!" sungchan immediately replies, hoping to reassure you. he places a hand on your shoulder, a smile coming to his face. "it's not like this is anything new, it'll all be fine, you only have to choose two pictures anyway".
you sigh, rubbing your temples. "yeah" you breath. "it'll be fine, fine" you repeat, nodding your head as you relax yourself.
the hallway is crowded, not crowded crowded, but crowded enough that you couldn't help but begin counting the heads around you.
your eyes get stuck on a familiar figure across the hall.
park jisung, smiling and laughing with his friends. you get lost in a trance of admiring him, even though you can clearly hear sungchan talking to you. all your attention is immediately on him, and a small smile spreads across your face as you observe him, being himself.
there is absolutely no reason for him to be so breathtaking while just talking with his friend!
you are so distracted, and you don't mean to get stuck in this little reverie as you stare at the boy that you totally do not have a crush on.
he hasn't really left your mind, instead of just floating around in there like he'd been before that whole prior incident, now he occupies a whole subsection of your mind in recent days. you could be with your other friends, and all of a sudden your mind would wander off to jisung, or you could be in class and he just pops into your head.
you never thought you'd be one to get distracted easily, but you've clearly been proven wrong by just the alluring aura of park jisung.
you startle when jisung turns your way, making eye contact with you. he smiles upon noticing you, his eyes practically lighting up, and he waves at you. your a little taken aback, but jisung doesn't wait to see you wave back, just turning back towards his friend and continuing his previous conversation.
"what was that?"
"what was what?"
you quickly look over at sungchan, who had just witnessed that whole entire scene. he looks at you like you just grew a second head, and your face begins to burn as the realization dawns on you.
"you and park jisung!?"
your quick to try and sputter out a response, but you shake your head, face excessively heating up, it's probably red at this very moment. "there is nothing going on between us!"
"that doesn't seem like nothing!"
you realize how guilty you look right now. with your red face and constant insistence that there is absolutely nothing going on, those are traits the guiltiest of people display, and it all just makes you look even more guilty with how your face gets even more red.
(you must look like you're dying right now).
"it's just a friendly exchange!"
"not while your looking at him with hearts in your eyes!"
he was completely calling you out, and he was right. you were staring at jisung like he was an angel that had graced your presence, you stare at him like he's a saint and everyone else doesn't matter, as if he's the only person in the room. "i— i wasn't! i was just zoned out and he just waved at me to say hi!"
sungchan narrows his eyes suspiciously at you, totally not buying it. "uh huh, sure" his voice conveys disbelief. "just know, i'm onto you y/n".
you nudge him in the shoulder, seriously wanting to change the topic. "yeah yeah whatever" you cross your arms as you mutter the words, you're sure if you take one more glance at jisung, you won't be able to look away, so you just clear your throat and walk the other way, face still red as sungchan teases you the whole entire time.
maybe if you glanced back, you'd see jisung watching as you left..
Tumblr media
JISUNG WAS REALLY HOPING HE'D BE ABLE TO catch you before school dismissed. you two haven't genuinely had an actual talk since you saved him from the flying baton heading straight towards his head. all you two have done is give smiles, waves, and mutter small greetings to each other in the hallway. he had to admit, it upset him in just the slightest, because he really did want to just have a conversation with you (of course, he isn't exactly sure he'd be able to get through a conversation with you without blushing like a madman anyway), but your schedules just kept conflicting, so even catching a glimpse of you around the campus has become difficult for him to do.
he doesn't want to waste any opportunity he has in his hands—
"y/n!"
when jisung sees you across the hall, he realizes that he shouldn't take this chance for granted. you turn around at the call of your name, smiling as you see the others making his way towards you. jisung runs a hand through his hair, hoping he isn't making anything awkward. "jisung hi, do you need something?"
you smile politely at him, a smile so beautiful it seems like it could get rid of all the problems in the world. jisung loves your smile, he could stare at it for hours, is that creepy? he hopes it's not creepy..
"oh uh—" the words he'd been planning to say somehow get caught in his throat, but he clears his throat and proceeds. "i was wondering if i could walk you home?"
you blink, puzzled by the question. why would he want to walk you home? your mind begins to wander, trying to figure out why he'd want to do such a thing.
can't you just ask y/n? stop being an idiot..
"why?"
you don't mean for your words to come out that way, and you're almost afraid that you made jisung uncomfortable with your tone of voice, but he instead just smiles, squashing any of your bad thoughts. you love jisung's smile, you think it's underrated, so little people talk about it and the fact shocks you, you could probably compliment his smile for hours—
but that sounds just a little creepy.
"i just want to accompany you—" —and this is my only excuse to be around you— "do something nice for you after you did something nice for me".
the words make you pause. he's just.. so thoughtful huh? you've never heard of someone wanting to repay you for being nice, it's actually a little strange if you think about it.
"jisung you don't have to reward me for doing something nice.."
"it'd be great to walk with you, though, you make good company".
that's it? that's really it?
you're not sure why you're surprised about that, maybe it's just the idea that he literally searched for you just to say this, he truly just wants to walk you home, he truly just wants to spend time with you.
he thinks i make good company, just the thought alone is enough to make you giggle in your head. your inner thoughts sound ridiculous, but you can't help them.
"if you don't want me to it's totally oka—"
"no no no" you immediately cut into his sentence, hoping that didn't come off as desperate as it sounded. "i'm glad you offered to walk me home, i'd love to walk with you too".
you unsuccessfully try to mutter those last few words, a sudden shyness taking over you. jisung smiles, glad, no, elated at your agreement. he doesn't know why he's that happy, but he hopes it isn't clear and evident, he'd never live it down.
after bidding a goodbye to your friends, and telling sungchan you'd make sure to choose the photos for your editorials, you dragged jisung out of the school doors, much to your and jisung's surprise, as well as the shock of a few of your classmates, he made sure to eye the both of you suspiciously.
"what interested you in photography?"
a scene like this is something jisung thought he'd never get to, being able to talk to you, one on one. just the two of you sharing a simple conversation is what he's wanted for an uncharted amount of time, even with how straightforward it is, the two of you could never really find time to converse normally.
when jisung asks the question, you almost think you heard him wrong. he genuinely wants to know? in a way, you feel like you've always been just the slightest bit boring, yeah you wanna do journalism and love taking aesthetically pleasing photos but you've never considered what you do to be a talent by any means.
you pick at your fingers, looking down at the ground instead of at jisung. "it's an interest i picked up from my mother, i've always been shocked how she could just do that, you know? i love videography and stuff like that as well, i love how one can capture so much with just a single camera".
your words intrigue jisung, and he listened the whole entire way, not interrupting you once. he found a smile crossing his face at the clear display of passion for your creative work, he loves the way you put it into words. god if he didn't admire you before, he surely did now.
"what about you? you're pretty much good at everything, what drew you to the adrenaline rushing excitement of soccer?"
jisung pauses, allowing himself to let out a small snicker at the question. "i don't really enjoy soccer".
you raise an eyebrow. "oh?"
jisung laughs again, your tone of voice amusing him. "don't say it like that.. it's not that i hate it, i'm just not as into it like everyone expects me to be, i got onto the school team and i've been stuck there ever since" there isn't exactly distaste in jisung's tone, he just states it casually, like how it is. his voice is just simple, mundane, he doesn't dislike soccer, it's just not what he's looking forward to do.
you love his honesty.
"i'm into other things in a much more passionate sense, like dance, soccer is just a hobby" he finally finishes, pulling his sleeves over his arms as he avoids eye contact with you.
"so no professional soccer player park jisung?"
"i think i'll leave it to the other guy to be known for that".
you chuckle at his words, okay, he's funny (you knew that already, you just had to reiterate it in your head). god how can a guy be so perfect? you get why people are so into jisung, he's charming even without trying. you feel like the luckiest guy on earth knowing he asked to walk you home.
"y/n, i'm a very.." jisung pauses, as if trying to articulate the words he was about to say. "i really admire you a lot".
you almost lose it.
park jisung, beautiful, talented, hardworking park jisung admires you? he is an admirer of yours? you don't even know what to say, you try your best to sputter out a response but your brain is practically malfunctioning. your face goes red, and you go silent for a few minutes.
"i don't get it" is what you say, and jisung just cocks his head towards the side, observing you. "what's so admirable about me?"
"do you want a list?"
oh i'd love that. "i don't think you should waste your time".
"i wouldn't be wasting my time" jisung smiles, his gaze focused on you and only you, there's a way he's looking at you that keeps you still, unable to look away from him. "i never get the chance to tell you, i'd love to talk about everything i admire about you".
when did jisung get so bold? he'll never know where this random confidence came from, but he has an opportunity, he can't let it go to waste. he has to bring it up to you.
"what i do is nothing incredible—"
"i would disagree".
you should be angry that jisung interrupted you, but you found yourself smiling at his words. he's so generous, he doesn't have to tell you this, he doesn't have to compliment you like this, but he's doing it on his own accord, he wants to.
"okay then.. is it a good time to tell you that i also feel the same?"
jisung's ears go red, so red that it looks like smoke is gonna start pouring out of them. he is shocked, absolutely speechless. you admire him? does that mean he's gotten it all wrong these past few years? does that mean you return his feelings as well—
wait what?
"oh really?"
the prior confidence jisung had when telling you about his admiration has now all fizzled away, his voice almost cracks as he tries to register your words, and thank god it doesn't.
"it's kind of like what you said, you're amazing, a very admirable person, i know you don't really think of yourself like that but i do, and it's nice to be able to tell you up front".
jisung remains silent, but you don't mind, you just give him a smile and continue walking forward, allowing for him to catch up to you.
"is that actually true?"
"why would i lie to you?" you turn around, your whole body facing him. you begin walking backwards and wait for jisung's reply to your question. "don't give me that look".
jisung frowns, a playful one, he sends you a cute little glare that makes you giggle. he's absolutely adorable, you think in your head, he's the cutest person ever right now.
"you admire me?"
"yep".
"more than i admire you?"
"definitely, and don't even try to argue with me".
jisung opens his mouth to do exactly that, but you stop, turning around as you make it to the front of your house. "okay well, thank you for walking me home, ji".
jisung raises an eyebrow, noting down the nickname in his head. it's a common nickname, but he loves the way it sounds coming from you, he loves that you didn't just drop his full name.
"it's no problem.."
"i—"
you're cut off by the sound of the door opening, and your met with the face of your mother, whose face immediately brightens at the sight of you. you smile at her, and jisung just kinda stands there awkwardly.
"hi honey" she wraps her arms around you, and you let her, leaning your head onto her shoulder. "i thought you were staying late today?"
you shake your head. "not today, it's friday remember?"
"ohhh, yeah".
jisung glances down at the ground, playing with his feet. he doesn't know what to say, he doesn't want to interrupt the conversation you're having with your mother—
but he doesn't have to say anything, because your mother pipes up.
"oh! and who might this be?" she narrows her eyes at jisung, cogs in her brain seem to turn but then she snaps his fingers and gasps, seemingly getting it. "oh my god! park jisung?"
jisung smiles, a little laugh escaping his lips. "that is me".
"holy, you've changed so much? the last time i saw you you were barely up to my knees!"
at the sound of your mothers words, you give jisung a teasing stare, one which he quickly turns away from. "you and y/n are finally friends? i was wondering when it'd happen.."
your face goes bright red at the words, and an awkward chuckle escapes your lips. "seems he was too, he always talked about it—"
"haha! what!? that's hilarious mom!" you quickly cut in, not wanting her to talk about your former ramblings about park jisung, park jisung who was right beside you. "yeah okay, jisung i'll see you monday?"
jisung nods, a little too desperately for his liking, luckily you don't notice. "yeah, monday, have a good weekend, y/n".
you smile, blood rushing through your cheeks. "be safe".
he gives a small wave and turns around, beginning the walk back towards his home.
"he's such a nice kid, you sure you're just friends?"
your jaw pretty much drops, and you give your mother a look you don't think you've ever shared with her before. "yes! just friends!"
"hmm, sure".
Tumblr media
"WHO ARE THOSE FOR?" CHENLE asks as he immediately notices the goodies in jisung's hands. he raises an eyebrow suspiciously at his best friend, examining the bouquet of flowers and box jisung held. jisung ignores him for a couple of minutes, placing the box in his locker and closing it behind him. "for someone" he just replies, hoping he could just remain vague instead of telling chenle about his true plans. the older narrows his eyes, clearly curious about this 'someone'. he flicks jisung in the forehead, resulting in a yelp from the other, who glares. "ow! what was that for?" he asks, furrowing his eyebrows and rubbing his forehead, a frown now coming to his face.
"what you're hiding stuff from me now?" chenle rolls his eyes at jisung's frown. "who are those flowers for? you got a boyfriend or something?"
chenle was right in assuming it was a boy that was making him go crazy, but you aren't his boyfriend (not yet at least, he's trying, really). he doesn't want to exactly divulge his plans to his nosy best friend yet, just because he'd go around telling everybody he could about what jisung was doing, he didn't want anything to be spoiled.
"they're for.. y/n".
jisung winces the moment he says those words, because chenle goes absolutely crazy.
"FOR WHO!?"
jisung is quick to slap a hand over chenle's mouth, glaring at him for how loud he said those words. "could you be any more obvious?" he asks, gritting his teeth as he continues to glare at his shorter best friend, whose eyes just widen even more. "yes they're for y/n—"
"what are you two dating now?" chenle doesn't care about anything jisung has to say, he slaps his hand away and stares in interest, wanting to know more.
"no! were not dating! it's just—" jisung pauses, how is he even gonna explain this without looking super guilty? blood rushes through his cheeks as he thinks about it, about how these are your favorite flowers, about how you might react. "i wanted to get him something nice! he did a good thing and.."
and i am just so in love with him, i think i might be going insane.
"i just want to do something nice!"
"okay but are you doing something nice or are you getting ready to ask him out?"
jisung's face goes a dangerously red color, and he immediately shakes his head, denial coursing through his veins. "i'm not going to ask him out, i mean— i get why you think that but it's not what it looks like!"
chenle raises an eyebrow, staring at his totally lovestruck best friend. "it sure does seem to be what it looks like".
"chenle—"
"look, jisung, there's no need to deny that you have such an obvious crush on y/n" chenle states like it's a matter of a fact, because it is, they both know it very well, he's better at assessing jisung's feelings than jisung himself is. "he thinks your cute, you think he's cute, you two just need to ask each other out".
"um.." jisung presses his lips together, the two falling into a weird silence. he clutches the daisies in his hands, thinking about you, but he shuts off his thoughts to respond to chenle's little analysis of him.
"i just don't know where we stand, i mean we're barely even friends".
"you two are pretty much already more than friends considering he can't talk to you without looking like he's about to devour you whole".
jisung's face must be an astonishing shade of red right now. "it's not—! i don't know how to explain it okay!?"
"yeah and how are you gonna explain the flowers?" chenle points at the daisies jisung is practically squeezing to death. "other people are probably gonna get another idea".
"well i'll let them think what they want" jisung responds, his only focus is you, who cares what other people think? your his main priority. "y/n is my main focus, i don't care about what other people are saying".
chenle chuckles at his response, oh park jisung is so down bad, he's so in love with you, a kind of love chenle has never seen him have for another person. yes park jisung, love avoiding extraordinaire, is head over heels in love with a boy, chenle cannot believe it.
"okay jisung, go ahead with your wooing y/n mission or something".
at least chenle is supportive.
jisung has to go through so many interrogations to explain to your fellow photographers why he's giving you flowers, while a few of them just shrug and get it, the rest of them make sure to eye him suspiciously while he goes on with his explanation and bright red ears.
he knows most of them probably won't keep their mouths shut, and jisung knows that you told him he shouldn't get you anything for preventing him from getting any future brain damage, but jisung disagrees, he thinks you deserve gifts.
"who are those for?"
your brain doesn't register the flowers, or the connection that they have with your not-so-secret admirer, you just stare at them puzzled. "they're for you!" sohee yells from somewhere else in the room, focused on another important thing.
your eyebrows furrow, and you blink as you stare at the daisies on the table. daisies are your favorite flowers, but everyone knows that! these could be from anyone! you're no stranger to getting random gifts from people, so these could really be from anyone.
but you only have a certain person in mind..
"from who?" you ask, but you really already know who, considering the knowing look sohee sends to you.
"jisung".
of course, you say in your head, your fingers trace the packaging of the bouquet, admiring the pretty flowers before you (the pretty flowers given to you by a pretty boy), a small smile comes to your face as you think about it. you told jisung not to get you anything, but he obviously wasn't going to listen to you, he's made that very clear.
"did he tell you anything?"
sohee doesn't spare you another glance, but you can just tell he's grinning like a madman with the way he's clearly trying to hold in his laughter. "he just told me to make sure to get them to you, he was very insistent".
the teasing tone of your friends voice doesn't go unnoticed by you, and your barely able to stifle your laugh, not at sohee exactly, but at jisung's actions.
of course he didn't listen when you said for him to not get you anything, he remembered what your favorite flowers are, did he spend his weekend thinking about it? you wonder what kind of florists we must've went to.. your mind races with just jisung thoughts, and you're just so lost in them that you don't realize your zoning out.
oh park jisung, why do you have to be so sweet?
Tumblr media
"DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO?" YOU immediately ask the moment you come across park jisung in the hallway. the boy blinks, smiling at the sight of you, his face practically brightens at the sight of you. "what do you mean?" he inquired innocently, a small tilt of his head adding to his question. you send him a glare, not a serious one, but it's still a glare. you can't even believe his audacity, for him to look at you with such beautiful eyes, make your knees feel weak without even having to do anything? park jisung is just such a crazy man, you don't know if you can stare at him any longer, you might end up passing out from heat exhaustion (the heat from your face, of course, something that's become so normal for you when around park jisung).
"don't 'what do you mean?' me, i told you not to get me anything!" you complain, lightly shoving jisung's shoulder. "seriously, i said it was fine.." you mumble those words, but jisung just smiles.
"i wanted to get you something anyway, i needed to show you my appreciation somehow".
but just your admiration is enough appreciation for me, just you being around is enough, just you is enough.
your own thoughts weird you out on occasions.
"i told you not to—"
"but i wanted to, it's fine y/n, seriously, just accept my gesture".
you bite your inner cheek, he just always has to be nice, doesn't he? your cheeks flare up and you swear your face goes a shade of red you've never seen before, how does one boy even affect you like this? you don't think you've ever acted like this around any of your other admirers ever..
"ah" a small smile comes to your face. "thank you" you whisper, you're not sure why you get so shy all of a sudden.
"it's no problem" jisung responds, a smile coming to his face. he closes the door to his locker, and then leans onto it. "walk with me?"
you blink, jisung really likes walking with you, huh? is this gonna become your thing? you wouldn't really mind when you think about it.. you enjoy walking with jisung, you just enjoy any time you can spend with jisung.
"what's with you and asking to walk with me?"
"walking with you is just.. nice".
"do i ease your stresses or something?"
your tone is meant to come off as teasing, and your question is mostly unserious, you don't register how you sound like your flirting with jisung, probably because everything just feels so natural with jisung, you love how you feel around him, it's confusing to explain.
"i guess you could say that" jisung's response snaps you out of your jisung focused thoughts, thoughts which are difficult to not get stuck in considering park jisung is constantly occupying your mind these days. "anyway, can you walk with me?"
you pause, tongue pressing against the inside of your cheek. you have class in twenty minutes, and you don't really want to walk back all the way with only five minutes left to make it to class. "i don't know.. chen might kill me".
"please?"
that catches you off guard, you seemingly forget how to think for a second. jisung really wants to walk with you so bad, he's reverting to that easily convincing voice of his? you'd be an idiot to say no, you'd be an idiot to deny anything given to you by park jisung, you sigh in your head.
"okay, fine".
a smile of victory places itself on jisung's face, and he takes your hand, to your own surprise, as the two of you begin making your way down the hall. you wanna bring it up, but you don't want him to let go of you, so you don't. your face goes a bright shade of red, jisung doesn't seem to mind, or maybe he's always wanted to hold your hand, you aren't sure.
you focus way too much on it, on the way it feels, how jisung's soft hands contrast your rough ones, how warm his hands are, you don't want to let go, you don't want him to let go. god, you feel like such a loser, freaking out over a boy holding your hand.
but it's not just a boy, it's park jisung, park jisung makes you feel things you thought you'd never feel before..
"why do you seem so worried?" jisung chuckles, his hand holding yours. he nudges your shoulder lightly, raising an eyebrow.
"because, i don't wanna be late".
jisung snickers, not making fun of you, though, he hopes you don't think that. "have you never skipped a class before?"
your eyes widen as large as saucers, model student park jisung has skipped classes? a small chuckle escaped your lips. "no, i could never bring myself to, it always made me feel strange.."
now it's jisung's turn to look surprised, you laugh again, why does he assume you skip classes? or have even attempted to skip? you wonder what goes through his mind. "are you serious? you've never tried to skip before?"
you scoff, pinching his arm. "i tried to once in the sixth grade because of a dare from friends, but i literally couldn't do it, they called me a wimp for the rest of the year".
"aww sad".
"don't give me your fake pity, also— you've skipped class before!?"
jisung chuckles at your surprise, giving a small smile. "it was a few times as a sophomore, some classes are just so boring i can't resist".
"wow, model student park jisung skips his classes? i cannot believe the information that has been bestowed upon me".
the words, paired with your sarcastic tone made jisung let out yet another snicker, he hopes he's not overdoing it in your eyes, you're genuinely just a very funny person. "oh no! don't use this secret to tarnish my pristine reputation!"
"you're such an idiot".
a cute idiot.
"be quiet, you still love me" jisung rebuts, adding a small nudge to your shoulder along with his words.
it's weird to say, but you like this. even with your totally non-romantic feelings for jisung, you find this nice. is this what dating him would be like? you get to hold hands and joke around in the halls without a care in the world? you think you'd enjoy that, you'd enjoy dating park jisung.
wait what?
you snap out of your thoughts when jisung stops, so you stop too. he lets go of your hand, and you resist the urge to frown, because you don't want to come off as desperate. (but you are desperate, you're so desperate, having park jisung hold your hand was so nice, you want him to hold it again).
"this is my stop, thank you for my walking with me".
the words are simple, basic, but you find your face heating up at them anyway. you clear your throat, not wanting to stay silent any longer. "it was no problem, i couldn't disagree anyway".
jisung laughs, he is so pretty, so pretty without even having to do anything significant. "of course you couldn't" he looks down at his feet. "anyway! have a good day y/n, don't be late to your next class!"
you blink as you watch jisung walk into the auditorium for his next class, you watch as he walks away, standing there for what seems like forever. how could a guy, just a guy affect you so much? what is it with park jisung and making you stop in your tracks? he's mesmerizing, just so easily draws you in.
your eyes widen as you realize the time, you're going to be late for your next class, mr. chen is going to kill you!
and as you totally sprint down the hallway to get to your next class, your mind is racing with thoughts of park jisung the entire time.
Tumblr media
"AM I NOT YOUR BEST FRIEND?" YOU CAN practically hear the pout in sungchan's voice as he said those words. you place the extra polaroids on your desk, then glance up at your friend, who stares at you with an expression of defeat on his face. you raise an eyebrow, puzzled at what the actual hell he's talking about, he's always just bringing stuff up so randomly, you can't even keep up with what he's referring to now. sungchan just frowns, letting out a groan of frustration as plops down beside you, a small huff adding to his words. you chuckle at the way he decides to present himself, and he groans once again, very frustrated. "where is this coming from?"
"why didn't you tell me about you and jisung".
you pause, an expression of surprise comes to your face, your face which heats up astonishingly quickly. "me and jisung? me and jisung what? we aren't—"
"y/n there's no point in denying it, everyone already knows".
"everyone already knows what?"
"that you and jisung have a thing, it's fine if you don't wanna tell everyone but excluding me? your best friend in the whole entire world from the news?"
"jisung and i aren't dating!" you say immediately, clasping your hands together as you try to calm your rapidly beating heart. why do people even think that? yeah you like park jisung but how did people even reach the conclusion that you were dating? you're not even sure if jisung returns your feelings. "i don't even know where people got that idea.."
"so your constant yearning stares and pitched up giggles are all not apart of that?"
"i don't—" you are definitely showcasing all guilty characteristics, your red face, your shrill voice, and your very obvious lying, sungchan sees right through you, anyone would be able to. "yearning stares are stupid i don't do that!"
"yeah, sure y/n" sungchan sighs, and you groan, screaming into your pillow. "i'm not trying to be mean or anything, but it's disgustingly obvious that you're into jisung, and i mean in a cringy way".
you gasp in offense, turning away from your best friend. you want to remain stubborn, but you can't, of course you can't, how can you even deny your feelings for jisung anymore if other people can now tell that you like him? your face heats up in embarrassment, and you cover your face with your hands. "is it really that obvious?" you mutter, hoping the answer isn't what you think it is.
"yeah, very, i wouldn't even be surprised if the two of you were actually dating and this was a little trick of yours".
sungchan points at you, an accusatory look in his eyes, but he immediately lets it go, because he knows you, and he can tell that you are telling the truth. you don't even have the courage to look at him, still covering your face with your hands. "have you not told jisung how you feel yet?"
your silence tells sungchan everything he needs to know, and the look he gives you is absolutely criminal.
"YOU HAVEN'T!?"
"i haven't found any time too!"
"how much time have you been spending around jisung these days!? you haven't even tried to bring it up to him!"
you let yourself fall to the side, half your body hanging off your bed. "i don't know how to" you whine, mind immediately rushing to thoughts of park jisung, thoughts you probably shouldn't be having. "it's awkward!"
"well i'm sure jisung feels the same with the way he always has to resist the urge to kiss you in the hallway".
"with the way he WHAT!?"
the words are enough to make you rise from your formerly fallen state, a look of astonishment on your face. did jisung really return your feelings? or was sungchan just trying to start something that would end up absolute humiliation?
"y/n, not trying to be rude or anything, but it's so obvious that jisung wants to date you, he doesn't even have to say it for everyone to know!"
you feel like you just discovered the secrets of the universe with those words, park jisung likes you? like likes you likes you? once the realization dawns on you, you gasp loudly.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!? OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE I WAS SUCH AN IDIOT UGH!"
sungchan watches you freak out, he truly can't believe that he had to tell you for all of it to finally set in.
it's actually pretty funny, and he snickers as he watches you go absolutely ballistic.
Tumblr media
"HAVE YOU SEEN Y/N?" JISUNG ASKS the first recognizable person he sees in the hallway. he hasn't seen any seniors anywhere for a while, but that's because the days keep getting warmer, meaning graduation keeps getting closer, most of the seniors only take two classes and then go on to do their extracurriculars, so they don't really have to spend the whole entire day at school, but it's weird today because he usually always sees you, even when he isn't purposefully looking for you (which has become a common thing for him to do, he's just loves the time he can spend with you). he hopes you aren't absent, because today is friday, and if he doesn't tell you his important news now he's going have to wait an extra two days.
"y/n? uh..." the unfamiliar boy pauses for a moment, as if thinking, and jisung is hoping that it isn't the worst, because he really needs you to be here today. "well i'm not sure where he is actually! probably with his other photographers".
"but he's here right?" jisung doesn't care if he comes off as desperate, his only focus is you, you are his main priority, he doesn't care about the impression he's making on others, he can truly only think about you at the moment.
"yeah! i'm just not sure where exactly!"
"okay thank you!"
the guy gives him a strange look, a mix of teasing and giddy, but jisung walks off too fast to see it, he's set on finding you. he doesn't exactly know where he's supposed to go, he's just hoping to somehow spot you and be able to get you alone.
"what are you rushing for?" chenle comes out of nowhere, noticing jisung's urgency and the way he's clearly focused on something specific strikes him as odd, but he already has an idea of what's making jisung so fidgety. "you're gonna confess your love to y/n or something?"
"yes, actually i am chenle, it'd be great if i could find him, though".
maybe it's jisung's surprising honesty, or the way his main priority is you. chenle finds it amusing how quick the switch flipped, but it's also kind of cute. the usual pessimist, mr 'i don't really care about love' park jisung is down bad for a boy, it's adorable. "have you tried the photography room?"
"where do you think i'm heading?"
chenle chuckles at jisung's attitude, simply smiling and pulling his cheek. "alright then! don't forget to tell me how it goes!"
jisung doesn't spare chenle another glance, just turns back around and focuses on the task at hand, finding you and telling you how he feels.
jisung wonders how you'll react, based on what he's seen, it's not completely guaranteed that you'll reject him, it's probably more likely that you return his feelings rather than don't. does that make him horrible? thinking because you've exhibited the traits of someone who has a crush that you have a crush on him?
maybe you don't like him and he's letting it all get to his head, it all just seems too good to be true.
jisung doesn't even have to go all the way to the photography room, because he bumps right into you whilst on his way there, and a small yelp escapes your lips. "oh my god.. sorry!"
jisung cannot contain his excitement, and his nervousness. there is absolutely nothing to be nervous about, this is y/n. kind, understanding, charming y/n, it's not like he's going to scream at you for telling him you like him. it’ll all be fine.
"it's alright" you whisper, shaking your head for a moment. "i was looking for you" you immediately say, not allowing for jisung to speak before you.
jisung's eyes widen. you were looking for him? it makes his brain go haywire, figurative cogs in his head turning. "that's ironic, i was looking for you too".
jisung swears he can see the red coloring on your cheeks, but he doesn't say anything about it.
"i have to tell you something".
the two of you say that sentence in unison, the same amount of anxiety coursing through your veins, the same red hue on your cheeks, the same look of surprise in your eyes. "you can go first" you whisper, picking at your fingers, you aren't exactly sure if you want to hear what he's about to say.
"are you sure? it seems you have something more important to say.."
"it's fine! really, i can just say it after yo—"
"i'm in love with you".
the words strike you like a punch to the gut, a slap to the face. your stomach drops, your face is burning horribly, and your legs feel like they're about to give in. you cannot believe it, you hope you don't pass out, you hope you don't just die right here, that'd be so embarrassing.
park jisung is in love with you. beautiful, talented, model student park jisung who you've never truly known how you felt about is in love with you. you are so happy, giddy, and it disgusts you, but the disgust is quickly replaced by the feeling of joyousness. park jisung is in love with you, he feels the same way.
"jisung, i'm—"
"it's okay if you don't return my feelings i just wanted to tell you!" is that really what he thinks? that you don't love him back? he must be crazy, you've only ever exhibited reciprocal feelings. "i'll be off now!"
"no! don't go!" you grab jisung's wrist before he can walk away. smart move y/n, you're acting so natural right now. "i just, i return your feelings! i just don't know how to explain it, also my hands are very sweaty right now and i feel gross.."
you let go of jisung's wrist and feel your face get unbearably hotter. it's embarrassing, you feel so embarrassed, but it's park jisung, and jisung just stares at you lovingly. you're so cute, how did it take him this long to tell you how he felt?
"you're so cute".
jisung doesn’t even realize he says the words until you give him that look, and your red face just makes him giggle more. "this isn't— that is not fair! i was supposed to confess first!"
"you're the one who told me to go first!"
"i didn't know you were going to tell me you liked me! i prepared a whole sentence for you and everything!"
you whine, covering your red face with your hands. jisung removes your hands from your face, and a small smile graces his pretty features. he's absolutely gorgeous, he has such a pretty smile, you have the sudden urge to tell him about it. "your smile is beautiful".
now it's jisung's turn to become the red faced lovesick fool. "ah, really?" he responds, voice shaky, hands even more shaky, but they're so soft, your mind always reminds you to note that.
you hum in agreement. "it's very pretty, i can't believe more people don't talk about it".
"well you can talk about it, aren't we technically dating now?"
the question makes you pause. you feel like your about to go insane, you're dating park jisung? park jisung is your boyfriend? this is like a dream come true, a dream you thought would stay a dream and only a dream. "dating? dating! yeah yeah!"
your natural act is not natural at all, you are very nervous, so nervous you feel like your about to collapse onto the floor. "there's no need to be so nervous.."
you groan. "says you!"
"alright y/n" jisung lets go of your hands, much to your dismay, because you frown. he takes note, and reaches over to grab your own once again, intertwining your fingers. "we’re dating, you don't have to go red faced every time i compliment you now".
"but it's you, how do i not?"
jisung sighs, leaning forward and pressing a small peck on your lips. oh he is such a stupid little—
"why would you do that!?"
"i'm sorry!" jisung giggles, he was definitely not sorry. "it was an instinct, i had to!"
"you— ugh!"
park jisung can't just not make you nervous, he's such a crazy man.
one that you love, of course.
Tumblr media
"I THINK I LIKE THIS ONE THE MOST.." JISUNG states, admiring the polaroid photos which litter the desk. you hum at his words, rummaging through the box on the counter, you are very much focused on finding that estranged camera taehyun had pointed for you to find. your boyfriend glances up, looking over your shoulder, silently watching as you get frustrated about this stupid camera you couldn't find. "which one?" you inquire, glancing over at him. jisung holds up the polaroid, a picture you'd taken of you and sungchan at the beach when you were nine. a pretty photo, you aren't even sure how you pulled it off. "ah, that is a pretty one" you whisper, and you smile the moment jisung smiles. his smile is so pretty, a cute stretch which is enough to make you smile, even if you feel down.
"what’s with your face?"
"searching for this old camera is pissing me off" you remark, knowing that you have to search for this is just making you even more mad, why do you have to pack the photography room right before graduation? you hate it. "who even left it in here?"
"a former student maybe?"
you close your eyes, sighing. "i need this to be over so much more quickly" you complain, and jisung just laughs at your misery.
"we graduate in a week, y/n, just be patient" the younger pokes your cheek, then he cups your face, trying to make your frown disappear. "an old camera is not the end of the world".
you glance down at jisung's lips, then narrow your eyes. "are you trying to seduce me?" you question, raising an eyebrow.
"no?" jisung responds, adding a small tilt of his head to his words. "do i sound believable?"
"not at all" you say, pushing jisung's hands away and looking back to the box in front of you so you can continue to scour for this camera you have to get for your friend. you continue to search through the box, trying to find this old dslr camera for your friend. "so don't distract me".
"i'm not!" jisung whines, wrapping his arms around your waist and placing his chin onto your shoulder, watching you try to succeed at your mission of finding a camera. "you don't want to give me, your lovely, amazing boyfriend attention?"
you merely roll your eyes at jisung, he's so annoying (in a cute way), you're about to call chenle to drag him away from you, but you also don't want him to let go of you, his arms around your waist make you feel safe, loved, park jisung makes you feel so loved.
"i found it!" you shriek, victory soaring in your voice. "fucking finally".
"okay so can you give me a kiss now?" jisung asks, puckering his lips and leaning closer to you.
he's so desperate, and you are too, it's adorable, park jisung is adorable. "hmm" you pretend to think about it, an inquisitive look making it's way to your face. "nah".
"y/n! that's not fair!" jisung whines, shaking you with his arms that are still around your waist. he frowns, trying to give you his best puppy dog eyes.
you almost give in, but you push him away, taking the camera you'd been searching for. "later, babe".
"you said that this morning!"
you sigh, turning around to stare at the pouting park. the cute pout remains on his face, how can you ever resist him? you lean forward and press a kiss to his lips, ruffling his hair. "there, are you happy you big baby?"
"you could do better".
"uh huh, and you could be patient".
jisung frowns once again, but it's not a serious one, just the cute one he likes to do when he pretends to be mad at you. "don't be mad, you know i love you".
jisung does know, he knows that very well. he smiles at you, he's so in love with you, and not even in an embarrassing way, there's nothing embarrassing about this, he feels joyful, a sense of euphoria overtakes him whenever he’s with you.
"i know, i love you too".
and he isn't lying when he says that.
because he truly does.

be my valentine | park jisung
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
nsfw, mature content, minors DNI!
ship: park jisung x male reader
desc:(name) doesn't particularly like valentine's week, but his boyfriend is sure he can change that.
**(requested)!
valentine's week had always been a sore topic for (name). A few failed relationships that never really went past the initial phase, and the lack of ideal guys to date left the man with a bitter feeling towards the lovers' week. But all that changed last spring when he was surprisingly asked out by his upperclassman. and the most handsome one at that.
everybody could see that jisung would make the ideal partner for anyone. his soft looks, amazing personality and loving nature made (name) realize he really hit the jackpot with this one. he was surprised when jisung approached a junior, and him out of all, to go out with.
the lovebirds had quickly hit it off and molded into the perfect pair. their chemistry was off the charts and (name) finally had a relationship that constantly made him feel loved.
when the week (name) used to dread arrived again, he was no longer feeling the blues. how could he, when he woke up to breakfast in bed, and a bouquet of azaleas. the boy let out a happy squeal, hugging his boyfriend, who was looking ethereal in his plain white button-up and half-pants. jisung always has been a romantic.
(name) gobbled up the deliciousness, giving his boyfriend a quick peck on the lips, getting up to shower.
as he stepped out of the bathroom, he tried to hold back his reaction to the sight in front of him. jisung was sitting on the couple's bed, back resting on the bedframe and manspreading. his black hair fell beautifully on his forehead and his blue eyes bore into (name)'s figure.
he spoke through hooded lids, beckoning (name) close with his index finger. "time for your next gift babe. c'mere." heartbeat rising and feeling excited, (name) trudged over to the bedside and climbed.
jisung patted his wide thighs for (name) to settle himself on, snaking his arms around the younger's waist the moment he took his designated seat. (name)'s body towered over jisung's slightly shorter one, both men gazing into each other's eyes with love and want.
"so lucky to have you, darling. happy valentine's", breathed jisung. a smile etched onto (name)'s lips as he smacked them onto jisung's plump ones. the two started to make out, sucking the air out of each other's mouth.
jisung's hands moved up and down (name)'s torso, squeezing and grabbing the supple skin, eliciting a moan from his partner. jisung's kisses moved southward, planting wet smooches on his lover's jaw, neck, chest and stomach.
he lifted (name)'s shirt over his head, flinging it behind them. he continued his trail, his hands holding the other's waist. his tongue flicked the sensitive nipple, and (name) let out a high pitched whine, hands clutching jisung's locks.
the elder was not satisfied with the response and started to bite the bud, while his other hand played with the other. the pleasure was driving (name) mad, but he didn't want it to end just yet.
he pushed his boyfriend's head away from his chest, the latter looking confused and hurt. (name) smiled softly, caressing jisung's face. "as much as I would love to cum from this alone, I want us to cum together." the words brought a smirk onto the elder's face.
"then beg me."
(name) was slightly shocked by his sudden change in demeanor.
"w-what?"
"you heard me baby. beg me. ask hyung nicely" jisung restated.
(name) gulped, his heart rate speeding up. this was new, but not unwelcome. "please, hyung" he whispered.
"please, what? speak up, baby boy" jisung replied, enjoying the newfound power he had.
"please, take me."
"take you where?"
(name) whined. "you know where, hyung" he pouted.
jisung leaned in to the crook of his neck, kissing the sweet spot, "but I wanna hear you say it, baby."
(name) felt his breath hitch, his voice shaky, "fuck me, please."
the boys' lips were like magnets, never staying apart from the other for too long. they separated only to catch their breaths, then immediately going back at it again.
jisung grinned. "good boy" he pulled down (name)'s shorts, leaving him completely bare. the elder reached for the nightstand, pulling out a bottle of lube. he lathered his fingers in the liquid and slowly pushed one inside (name)'s entrance, stretching the hole.
(name) winced at the intrusion, jisung stopping momentarily before he started to move his finger again. the pain slowly subsided and the younger started to feel pleasure, a moan escaping his mouth.
"feels good, doesn't it baby?" jisung spoke.
"hyunggg, more" he whined. the elder added another finger and scissored his partner, opening him up for his cock.
"you know what's hotter than having a taller boyfriend?" jisung questioned, his actions never coming to a halt. (name) was too lost in pleasure to respond so the older answered for him.
"when said boyfriend whines and begs his hyung to make him feel good" he smirked.
(name) blushed. the embarrassment and arousal were overwhelming. he knew his boyfriend was a little shit somewhere behind his sweet and caring aura, but not this much.
jisung added a third finger and the stretch was delicious. (name) moaned again, throwing his head back, and his cock aching and dripping. he was a moaning mess and jisung was enjoying the sight. he pulled his fingers out, causing his partner to whimper.
he unbuttoned his pants and pulled them down along with his boxers. his fully erect dick stood proudly and jisung spread some lube on it.
"are you ready baby?" he asked.
(name) nodded. "I'm so ready hyung" he whined. jisung lifted him and placed him on his lap, his back facing him. he lined his dick up against the hole and pushed in slowly, (name)'s eyes widening and letting out a loud moan.
jisung's dick was so thick that once he was buried to the hilt, the boys took a moment to breathe. "you okay, baby?" jisung inquired, concerned for his boyfriend's well-being. (name) nodded, letting his body adjust. he rocked his hips forward, signaling to his partner that he could start moving.
jisung pulled out slightly and thrust back in. the pace started slow, but the two men eventually got into a rhythm, the sound of skin slapping resonating around the room.
"you like that, huh?" jisung groaned. (name) couldn't form words, his head filled with clouds. the only noises he could make were the sinful sounds of his moans.
jisung slightly altered their positions so he was on top, pushing (name)'s face down and his ass up. he thrusted harshly, the new position making the pleasure so much deeper. (name) gripped the bedsheets, his knuckles turning white. his legs were shaking from the overwhelming feeling.
"ahhh, hyung! right there, right there!" (name) screamed, his prostate being hit by his partner. jisung aimed his thrusts to hit the bundle of nerves again, and again. his hand was on (name)'s cock, jerking him off in sync.
"cum for hyung, baby boy." he growled. the younger felt a coil tightening in his lower abdomen, and then released all over the sheets. his walls clenched around jisung, sending him over the edge as well.
the latter spilled his load inside (name)'s asshole, filling him up to the brim. he pulled out and laid down beside him, both panting.
"that was fucking amazing, baby." jisung smiled, kissing (name)'s forehead.
"it sure was" he replied, snuggling closer to his partner. "and to think I thought valentine's week would suck this year too".
"not with me around. let's sleep. i made dinner reservation for the evening. after today, you're gonna love the 2nd week of Februarys". jisung chuckled.
(name) was looking into his boyfriend's eyes with nothing but hearts in his own.
"hyung?" he called softly.
"yeah?"
"be my valentine, please. each year, every year."

18+ JISUNG “CUDDLE SESSIONS”
[male reader. mentions of readers genitalia]
Minors dni. Im serious. If explicit content makes you uncomfortable plz do not read.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jisung as a top dom/ during "cuddle sessions"
He loves to pull you from your waist and nuzzle his face in between your neck and shoulder. While he just toys with you. Touching you all over.
"Ji—sung..." you cried out.
"Your body, so numb from the feeling of his hands trailing to your already hard and sensitive nipples."
He loves the sight of the lewd faces you make, while he flicks and twists your nubs. It makes his ego loom crazy.
"You know, if only you listened to me...you wouldn't have to be in the position you are right now, but, because you're such a brat, you deserve this...no begging out of it now." You heard the smirk that was painted on his lips, upon his words.
This just made everything much more intense.
"You wanted more...You desperately grinded yourself against Jisung, but just as you made your sudden movements, he roughly gripped your hips."
Whenever Jisung does something like this, he's always so eager to just fuck you over. Break you.
That's always his ultimate goal until you can't form coherent sentences and just cling to him, crying into his ears and whining.
"Y/n—oh you already came... I didn't even touch you—heh, and I didn't permit you to cum yet. You are a Slut."
This sudden cuddle session, if you even call it that, soon turned into him, pressing your hand into the pillow while he pounds into your red swollen hole.
"fuck, y/n, you're so tight— fuck you're clenching, s-so hard.."
The feeling building up in the pit of your stomach was all too familiar, your legs couldn't keep up with the fast pace and the weight of your body. You were falling limp under Jisung. You were exhausted after cumming for the third time.
"jisung...w—wait! I'm gonna cum again—slower! Ugh!" "Keep up baby, I'm not done with you yet."
Tumblr media
Jisung is a top sub/ during "cuddle sessions"
You were relaxed when you had the other on top of you. It was always the comfort of him being so close to you, that made you feel secure.
It was an intimate and emotional moment between the two, always. No words had to be said, just the feeling of being together brought the feeling of security and contentment.
But those moments never stopped Jisung with the feelings he felt..couldn't keep, those feelings in...
It was always a certain type of pleasure every time you guys had such an intimate moment together. And the feeling of wanting to continue that pleasure was unbearable. Every chance he got, he took it.
"Y/n, please I need you right now.."
Jisung always looked at you with such a desperate expression, eyebrows furrowed and flushed cheeks. Sweat beads dripped from his eyebrows, chest heaved up and down, almost as if he was out of breath.
A visible tent in the crotch area of his pants.
"Please? Can I..?" Jisung hovered over you with a desperate look. You couldn't back down. This led to Jisung grinding on you, whilst he moaned your name.
Moving your hands up his body, under his shirt, hold his lower back to help guide him.
"Baby, come on take these off." You groaned out. you'd admit, you were always desperately wanting him, one way or another.
His dick was covered in his slickness, and the pre cum coated his fiery red tip. "Here—help me take mine off."
"Ahhh y-y/n! Fuck, rig—there!" Jisung straddles your lap while you thrust upwards. You had your hands placed on his waist, helping him hold his position while he fucked himself on you.
You felt him trembling, you knew how close he was. Speeding up the thrusting, all you could think about was the pleasure you get out of overstimulating Jisung. And how satisfying it was, especially after jerking him off while fucking him.
"AH! y—y/n, nu-no! Too much.." he could barely form clear sentences, his eyes shut, bottom lip caught in between his teeth, subsiding his moans.
Just in a mere moment, his load shoots out, landing on your chest.
"Sungie, did I go too hard?" Jisung disagreed with a small "nuh uh".
You love the sight of his sleepy face after sex, it was the cutest thing ever. And all you could do at that moment was be as gentle as possible with him.

Renjun has a bondage kink. On the outside it doesn’t seem like it, but he can get freaky. He’ll tie your wrists and ankles to the bed posts so you can’t touch him or yourself. He likes having his way with you, not talking, just pleasure. He wants you to feel good and he wants to bring his fantasies to life.
Jeno screams size and minor degradation. He loves watching his big arms flex as he holds your hips and pounds into you. He loves watching your stomach bulge at the mere size of his cock. He loves letting you know that you’re his slut. After, he becomes a completely different man and apologizes <3
Haechan is a big fan of overstimulation. He likes the thought of being able to make you feel pleased till the point where you’re unable to function. He overstimulates with a loving mindset, wanting to make you feel the best you’ve ever felt. He also enjoys oral, watching you swallow his seed is so hot.
Jaemin absolutely loves mirror sex. He wants you to see how beautiful you are. To him you’re an angel sent from heaven. He’ll never admit it, but he kinda likes the thought of tainting that beauty, making you cry and drool over his skill in bed. Jaemin is a sweetheart, but also a tease. He likes to call you cute names while edging you over and over. He just loves observing you during sex.
Chenle loves marking you up, almost too much. You’ve got a crazy amount of hickeys and bites after sex. Sometimes he’ll make hearts and smiley faces on your chest and thighs. He also loves kissing you. Kissing is more intimate than actually having sex, in his eyes.
I don’t make the rules, Jisung loves nipple play. He loves to tease your chest as he kiss up and down your body. He chuckles when you shiver at his actions, his long fingers gliding over your sensitive buds. Sometimes he’ll suck on your chest, indulging in the way you whimper under him. Along with teasing your chest, he loves giving you hand jobs every now and then.

Minors DNI
Summary: You've been hired by SM Entertainment to take photos for NCT Dream's Candy album. But when Jisung is having some trouble delivering quality looks for the photos, you have to intervene and help the idol show his true face.

As a photographer in the industry, you’ve had to take many pictures for several people. All shapes, sizes, colors, orientations, it doesn’t matter as long as you get to hold a camera and make bank while doing it. But when you’re approached by an idol who can’t get over their camera shyness, it’s your job to help them get over it to deliver the best photos possible.
You arrived on the set that you were assigned by your company. Another SM boy group to deal with–they’re always such a handful… A colleague had to deal with almost 20 of them at the same time. Just thinking about it could give you a headache.
“Good Morning, y/n.” Someone walked up to you with coffee in a carrier.
You looked them up and down before accepting one of the coffees offered to you. “Who are you?” You asked while taking a slow sip of your new iced americano.
The younger man looked nervously at you, “I’m NCT Dream’s Manager, I’ll be working with you–”
You interrupted his mumbling, “That’s fantastic. It’s a pleasure to work with you and your group.” You were already irritated enough, you hated it more when people acted scared of you. You’re not a bad person or something!?
You went into the back room to put your supplies down and relax for a few moments while your camera crew was getting set up. Three women walked into the room shortly after, whispering to each other.
“Did you hear about the photographer we got this time? The company must hate us or something…” A woman in a green sweater said as she set down her bag and started unpacking makeup onto the table in the room.
“Yeah! I heard this guy is called the Devil’s Photographer. He’s crazy good with a camera, but he’s a nightmare to work with.” The next woman chimed, setting hair styling tools down.
The last of the three women, a very young and fresh face, just started at you through the mirror on the vanity desk. “Um… I don’t think this is nice to say.”
The other two women scoffed. “Well, aren’t you a suck-up? Maybe the lead photographer will give you selfie tips.”
You tried to sink into the seat you had in the corner of the room, wanting to stay out of their gossip. You turned your attention back to your phone with the emails explaining the people you’d be working with today.
“NCT DREAM (엔씨티 DREAM) is the 3rd sub-unit of the boy group NCT. The sub-unit consists of 7 members: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jaemin and Jisung…” The email continued to explain their physical attributes as well as including prior photos of them so you could recognize them and begin analyzing their faces for good angles. One of them caught your eye, but not exactly for good reasons… He just looked so awkward in some of these photos, like he was scared of the lens. You hoped this kid was just having an off day and would behave so you could go home sooner than planned.
The set was made to the client company’s preferences you briefed your team about the theme and intention of the photo shoot. You heard the main doors to the studio open and turned to see seven handsome men walking into the studio, politely greeting the staff as they passed by and some flashing a smile. You followed them to the back room where their outfits, hair, and makeup stylists had finished getting prepared. When you stepped in, the room fell silent and everyone stared at you. You sipped your drink and cleared your throat.
“Hello, boys. I’m y/n, I’ll be your lead photographer today. I’ve been told what’s the intention of the photo shoot, but I would also appreciate your feedback when taking shots to make these better. Let’s work together on this.”
They were all very polite as they did their introduction, one at a time, to you. You took the time to start thinking about shots and how to capture their charms. Jeno and Jaemin seemed to stand out because of their muscular frames. Renjun and Chenle were both cute and refreshing, sort of like children. Haechan and Mark presented a level of professionalism, but also some mischief too. The last was the youngest, Jisung, who shyly shook your hand loosely which made your barely trying handshake look like a death grip in comparison.
“I’ll leave you to get dressed, please come right out and we’ll get started.” You announced.
The boys cheered and agreed in their way before they sat down in their seats, waiting for their turn in the styling chairs. After twenty minutes, they emerged from the dressing room and started to get to work.
As the lead photographer, you didn’t have to hold the camera and you focused mostly on telling the other photographers on your team what you wanted from them. And everything was going super smoothly. There were duo pictures, group pictures, a tri pictures, but the issues started when the solo photos began.
The other 6 were fine, but the youngest seemed to have trouble keeping his composure in front of the camera. Every photo the junior photographer took was just… off. You couldn’t verbalize it for them to see, but you could see that Jisung wasn’t comfortable in front of the camera. The other members tried to cheer him on, in an attempt to make him feel confident. But it was only making more noise on your set, irritating you further.
“Okay, hand over the camera. I’ll take his photos.” You stood from your chair and walked over to the scene. The rest of your staff stood a fair distance away from you but wanted to watch you work. Most of your staff are students in college doing an internship, so they want to learn from the best, but you hate it when people hover over you while you work.
Jisung was seated on the floor next to a bed, and large gift boxes, wearing warm and cozy clothes. You could tell he was intimidated by you, everyone always made the same face, an awkward smile and barely being able to look at you for longer than a second.
“Jisung, right?” You spoke to him, attempting to be kind.
He nodded.
“You’re the last person for photos today, let’s not drag this out. Once we’re done, then you can go home. Otherwise, it's overtime for the both of us.” Your throat got dry at the mention of overtime…
“Sorry. I’m just a little…” His voice trailed off.
You pointed the camera at his face. “A little what? Camera shy? Aren’t you a pro idol by now?”
He plastered a fake smile on. “Y-Yes, I am. It just–”
You groaned seeing his expression. You couldn’t even bring yourself to take the picture. “Jisung, please tell me what’s wrong. If there’s anything I can do to make it easier for the both of us to get through this, I’ll make it happen.”
Jisung’s face turned pink, starting from his ears and traveling to his cheeks. “I-I think you’re very handsome.”
“So I’m the distraction?” You sounded more irritated than you meant, but how could this guy say something like that? You stood up and called one of your staff to continue working on pictures. “He’s not leaving until I review all his pictures. I don’t care if I have to stay all night with him.” You stormed off into the dressing room, to avoid being a “distraction” to the idol. Taking a seat on the couch, you waited for your crew to call you back in to review the photos. But time went by… ten minutes, twenty, thirty, then an hour passed.
You opened your eyes. The room was dark, but you could tell you were still in the dressing room. You stood up, dizzy from your nap, and the motion sensor turned the lights back on. Taking a moment to get used to the light again, you slowly realized the dressing room was clean. All the supplies from the stylists were gone. And not a soul in sight…
“Those bastards left me here…” You muttered.
You walked out of the dressing room to see the set with the lights still on. Your crew was gone except for one of your interns. He looked stressed going through the photos.
“Hey! What’s the idea of leaving me in there?” You shouted.
The intern almost jumped out of his skin. “S-Sir! I didn’t know you were awake yet.” The intern looked nervously between you and the monitor. “I… haven’t gotten any decent photos yet.”
You pinched your nose as you shuffled through the photos. They somehow got even worse after you’d left.
“Jisung is still here if you’d like to take another crack at it…” The intern pointed into the set, and you saw Jisung lying on the bed. Asleep.
You looked at the young college student. “Go ahead and get out of here. Go study or drink, or whatever you do at this hour.”
The intern didn’t hesitate to bolt for the door as you made your way into the set house. Jisung was sleeping soundly on the bed, softly snoring.
“Jisung.” You called.
He rolled over, turning away from you.
You moved closer and sat on one side of the bed. You placed your hand on his shoulder and shook him. “Jisung, please wake up. We need to finish work.”
Jisung rolled into you, putting some of his weight on you as he wrapped his arms around your waist. He pulled you into him.
“Jisung…” You whispered it this time, almost feeling bad for him. He looked genuinely comfortable in that moment. You looked around and saw your camera on top of the gift box nearby, but you’d have to reach for it.
You leaned forward, away from the bed, trying to grab the strap on the camera. Jisung’s body slowly slid with you, which made him squeeze you tighter and groan in protest. You reached again, but only an inch separated you from the edge of the camera. Jisung’s body slid further. You had to use one hand to hold him up and the other to reach for the camera. You made one more desperate attempt to reach for it with a lunge. You managed to grab the camera but you slipped off the bed with Jisung tumbling after you. You held his head as the two of you fell. When you landed, you managed to cushion his landing and somehow he didn’t wake up. You laid him on the floor completely, moving one leg at a time, and positioned him. Just as you pointed your camera at him, he rolled over to face you and his eyes peeked open just as the shutter clicked.
“Y-Y/n, what’s going on?!” Jisung tried shifting but realized he couldn’t in his position. “Why are you over me like this?”
You didn’t consider how you were sitting until you thought about his question. You’d positioned Jisung on his back with one of his hands above his head and you were hovering over his waist, Jisung’s other hand was gripping your shirt and he wouldn’t let go while you’d moved him earlier.
You attempted to explain yourself, “Before you get any weird thoughts–” Jisung squirmed under you and you slipped, landing firmly on his pelvis. His hands reacted and jumped to your waist to catch you. You heard a soft moan escape his lips when you landed on him.
“Are you okay?” He asked, hands glued to your waist.
“I’m… fine.”
Jisung was turning more red by the second. “This is kinda weird, huh? I really didn’t mean to offend you earlier by the way. I didn’t mean that you’re handsome–well I did mean that, but I didn’t mean that you being handsome was a distraction or anything!” Jisung was nervous and stumbling through his words, speaking too fast for his tongue to handle.
You moved to get up. “It’s whatever.”
Jisung pulled you back down to his pelvis. “It’s not whatever! I really mean it! You’re so handsome, it was a little hard for me to focus on the camera… Knowing you’re watching me.”
You felt how sincere he was between your thighs. You gently pushed your legs together, getting another high-pitched moan from him. He covered his mouth like a child getting caught swearing. “Are you enjoying me sitting here?”
Jisung looked like he was going to explode. “Would you hate me if I said yes?”
You shook your head. “I think I found a way to get your photo just right.”
Jisung looked up at you, with big eyes. “O-Okay…”
You moved a hand down his chest, slowly and sensually. “If you can focus on me, and take these good pictures. I’ll give you a special treat. How’s that?” You winked as you reached and squeezed hard on his cock in his pants, earning a louder moan from him.
Jisung shuddered under your touch, his legs quivering and bucking into you in agreement. “Y-Yes. I can do that!”
Jisung let you climb off of him, and you made it as sexy as possible. “Now, with each good photo you give me, I’ll lose a button. If I run out of buttons, you win and can have your prize. Every time I have to scold you, I put on a button. If all of my buttons are on, then no prize and we go home.” You unbuttoned the first two buttons on your shirt.
Jisung watched you in awe. You point him into his first pose, his facial expression is perfect! You took off a button, and Jisung’s eyes grew wider as he got to see more of you.
“Oh, what a good boy! Taking such good pictures for me.” You cooed.
He started fanning himself and looking around the room, trying not to start overheating from looking at you. You took 5 more perfect shorts and your button-up was completely open, and falling off your shoulders.
Jisung got closer to you. “Did I pass? Do I get my treat?” His eyes were full of desire as he imagined licking you all over your torso.
You pushed him gently. “Nope, I still have one more button.” You pointed to the button on your pants.
Jisung’s eyes opened wide. “T-That one too!?”
You nodded. “Final button. Make it perfect for me, good boy.”
You took Jisung’s last photo, his eyes were looking at the camera but he was focused on your body behind it. Bending and moving beautifully to make sure you get the perfect shot, just for him…
“All done now, pretty boy.” You put your camera down. You walked past Jisung, and he followed you, as you went to the bed on the set. You patted the bed. “Come here.”
Jisung almost launched himself at the bed to get to you.
You crawled onto the bed and sat on your knees, exposing the last button. “Why don’t you do it?”
Jisung’s hands shot to your waist as he fiddled with your pants. You took the knit hat off his head and slid his jacket off him. You heard the button pop off your pants and hit the floor. You look down at Jisung who looks back at you.
“I’m so sorry, I was so excited that it just… came off.” Jisung apologized.
You sucked your teeth. “Now, I gotta get you back for that.”
You pushed Jisung onto his back on the bed and positioned yourself between his legs. You leaned over him and brought your face to his. Jisung’s hands slid down your sides and stopped at your ass. Slowly move your lips onto his, making sure he is okay with it. Jisung met you halfway and pushed his lips into yours, slipping in his tongue not long after. His hands explored, one going to your neck to hold you into his kiss and the other felt your chest as he grinded himself into you. He moaned into your mouth at the friction when you pushed your dick against his, the fabric rubbing just right.
You knew better than to just fuck him there on the set in clothes that aren’t his and mess up the set that’s not yours, but he was too cute not to do something. You rutted against him, pressing your bodies together. Even lifting Jisung’s legs onto your shoulders and pressing into him more.
Jisung pulled away from you. “Take your pants off,” he commanded.
You looked at him, taken aback by his order. “Are you sure?”
Jisung nodded furiously, “I have… stuff with me we can use.” He climbed out from under you and ran to the dressing room, returning with a white bottle.
“Why–”
“It’s for emergencies,” he explained.
You chuckled as the both of you took off your clothes. Jisung looked embarrassed being naked in front of you, but you kissed him to make him feel comfortable.
“We don’t have to do this if you don’t want to. We could get in trouble for this…” You told him.
Jisung kissed you.
“Greedy boy,” You smiled and took him onto the bed again.
You moved to grab the bottle but Jisung dutifully took it and poured clear liquid onto his fingers. He pushed his fingers in and out of himself at a pace that made you moan softly as you stroked yourself, his fingers only half in, stretching himself for what was to come. He used his other hand to give you a condom.
You put it on and lubed it generously. You could tell your length wasn't a good comparison to his fingers, it was much bigger. You pushed into him, softly and watched his expression for anything concerning. But all Jisung could do was moan for you, with every inch.
“You sound so sexy for me, baby," you whispered, "You take my cock so well."
He bucked back into you, an adorable whine leaving his lips as you continued to praise him, his head dipping down at how overwhelmed he was feeling, gripping the sheets for dear life. “H-hmm! Y/n, I'm– Oh my god, I'm gonna cum!"
You stopped moving, “now that’s too soon. Just a little more, for me?” You kissed his shoulders and up his neck.
Whimpers, moans, grunts, and skin-slapping echoed in the studio. No one else to hear how sweet Jisung’s voice was but you. Your orgasm was so close and so was his, from the way he squeeze your cock.
Jisung cried for you, "A-Ah! Y/n, please–"
"Hm, alright, baby. Come for me."
And it was what he needed to make a mess all over the covers of the bed, spots of white painting the sheets. He felt your hot cum through the latex, his groans also confirming the feeling. After making sure to milk both your orgasms with a few more thrusts, you pulled out carefully.
Jisung looked at you, breathing heavily, “Was… Was I good?"
You stifled a small laugh and kissed him. You slipped off the condom and hugged Jisung. “You did amazing, my pretty boy.”
Jisung called. “Y/n?”
You hummed in response to Jisung calling you.
"Will you be my boyfriend?"
You kissed his cheek. “As long as you’ll be only my model in the future. Honestly, I think this would be an amazing picture. Truly art, possibly my best work…”

METAL MOUTH
Tumblr media
pairing: jisung x gn!reader (no pronouns used) genre: fluff word count: 639
includes: reader has lip piercings (implied to be snake bites), nervous jisung, not proofread and i don't have any facial piercings so pls forgive any mistakes !!
summary: jisung likes your piercings - maybe just a little more than he likes you.
Tumblr media
jisung is staring at you. you can feel it. his gaze never leaves your face as he watches you carefully adjust the thin metal rings piercing through your skin through your bathroom mirror.
wide eyes meet your own when you turn around to face him, softly chuckling at the way the boy startles. “what?” you playfully cock your head at him; a smirk tugs at the corners of your lips. “is there something on my face?”
“no,” jisung replies, softly shaking his head. he slips fully into the room, letting the door quietly shut behind him. despite now being face to face, jisung’s gaze still lingers on your lips for just a few seconds too long to be totally platonic.
hesitantly, he raises a hand up until his fingertips are mere centimeters away from the metal. “what do they feel like?” he finally murmurs after a period of silence.
“i’ve had them for so long they just feel normal to me,” you shrug. “i only really notice them when other people bring them up - or when i’m doing something near my mouth, like brushing my teeth or something.”
“i guess that makes sense," jisung hums. you ignore the disappointment that courses through you when he lets his hand return to his side - widening the space between you once again. "did they hurt?”
“not much,” you shrug. “cleaning them everyday was a pain, though.”
“sometimes i fall asleep without taking my makeup off,” he chuckles. “i don’t think i’d be able to handle the upkeep.”
“you get used to it,” you smile. “have you ever thought about getting any yourself?”
“sometimes. never seriously though.”
you nod in acknowledgement, leaning back against the bathroom counter. in the momentary silence, jisung finds himself staring at your lips once again - more specifically at the thin rings looped around your mouth.
“you look really nice.” the words escape his mouth before he realizes what they are. you softly smile at him as his face flushes a bright red; jisung’s mind races to come up with an excuse. “your piercings - i mean.”
“so you don’t think i look nice?” you tease.
jisung bites his bottom lip. “of course you do,” he finally murmurs. “do they affect kissing?”
you freeze. wide eyes meet your own before jisung quickly takes a small step backwards away from you. he stares down at his feet with overly flushed cheeks.
excuses fall from his lips in waves before you take a step closer, limiting the space between you once again. jisung pauses when you reach up to cup his cheek with your hand. “i’m not sure,” you murmur. there’s a beat of silence before you speak again. “...i’ve never kissed anyone before.”
“do you want to?” his voice is so quiet you almost miss it entirely. the feeling of your heart beating so rapidly in your chest is almost overwhelming.
“yeah,” you finally whisper. “i’d like that.”
your eyes flutter closed as jisung slowly begins to lean in. your breath hitches in your throat from the anticipation before he finally presses his lips against yours.
jisung’s lips are soft - softer than yours. your bodies move in an unconscious rhythm as you slowly continue to limit the amount of space between you. his touch is gentle as he rests his hands on your waist; your arms snake around his neck, just barely beginning to tangle into his hair.
you only pull away when the lack of air begins scratching at your lungs. you’re all but panting as jisung leans in, resting his forehead against your own. “so?” you whisper with a shy smile. “how does it feel to kiss someone with piercings?”
“it’s better,” he breathlessly chuckles. “way better.”
your rebuttal dies on the tip of your tongue when jisung leans in, pressing his lips against your own once again.

Pairing: haunted house actor!park jisung x male!reader
Genre: fluff, strangers to ??
Warnings: bad lol
Word Count: 1.6k+
Synopsis: y/n's friends wanted y/n to rest and stop studying so they took y/n to a haunted house. y/n carelessly got lost in the haunted house alone, he was very afraid of monsters and ghosts, so he didn't know what to do.
☠ Note: it's 2am and i can't sleep so i quickly wrote this to kill time, and its for something for yall to read while you wait for jeno's fic :) this is really short like a drabble, the plot is fast and not that detailed.
Tumblr media
y/n sighed as he looked over his notes one more time. finals were coming up and he wanted to make sure he was as prepared as possible. his friends often told him he studied too much, but school was important to him.
there was a knock at his door, pulling him from his thoughts. "come in," he called. the door burst open to reveal jaemin, mark, and haechan with wide grins on their faces. "we're taking you out today!" jaemin declared.
y/n raised an eyebrow. "out? i need to study-"
"nope, you study wayyyy too much!" haechan cut him off. "we're going to break you out of your bubble for a bit of fun."
"fun? what did you have in mind?" y/n asked warily. he trusted his friends but their ideas of fun rarely aligned with quiet studying.
mark smiled mischievously. "we're going to the haunted house at the amusement park!"
y/n blanched. "the haunted house? but it's supposed to be super scary..." he had never been a big fan of anything too frightening.
"exactly, that's why you need a break. it'll be a good way to take your mind off school for a while." jaemin gave him puppy dog eyes, knowing he'd have a hard time refusing.
y/n hesitated but eventually caved with a sigh. "alright fine, but if i have nightmares i’m blaming you guys." they whooped in victory, pulling him up from his desk.
as they walked up to the entrance of the haunted house, y/n gripped jaemin's shirt so tightly his knuckles turned white. jaemin laughed and pried y/n's fingers away gently.
as they drove to the haunted house, y/n felt his nervousness grow. what if it was too scary? he wasn't really one for jump scares. but he knew his friends meant well, thinking a change of pace could do him some good.
Tumblr media
"relax, it's just people dressed up. none of it is real, you know that," jaemin reassured him. mark rolled his eyes fondly. "and you call yourself a man of science, not believing in ghosts."
they made their way deeper into the haunted house, the rooms getting creepier with each turn. y/n was practically clinging to jaemin by this point, jumping at every small sound.
y/n took a deep breath to steady his nerves. "believing and not being scared are two different things. let's just get this over with." haechan cackled and slapped him on the back. "c'mon let's go!"
Tumblr media
around the next corner, a costumed actor with a chainsaw came roaring towards them. y/n screamed and scrambled behind jaemin, clutching his shirt so tight he worried it might tear. even jaemin seemed a bit startled by this one.
the actor chased them down the hallway for a bit, the chainsaw revving loudly, before disappearing around another corner with an evil laugh. y/n's heart was pounding so hard he thought it might burst out of his chest.
"you okay?" jaemin asked with a sympathetic smile, prying y/n's fingers loose again. he took a few deep breaths to calm down. "y-yeah, let's keep going."
they proceeded into a dark maze area next. eerie lighting and sound effects abounded as they tried to find their way through. but every twist and turn seemed to reveal another ghost or monster jumping out at them from the shadows.
the group continued cautiously making their way through the dark maze-like halls of the haunted house. y/n kept as close to jaemin as possible, not wanting to get separated from the others.
as they turned a corner, a hideous monster creature suddenly dropped down right in front of them from above with a roar. y/n let out a blood curdling scream and instinctively bolted away in fear, losing sight of his friends in the dim lighting.
"hey y/n, wait!" mark shouted after him but it was too late. panicked, y/n ran blindly down some twisting passageways, having no idea where he was going in the disorienting maze like structure.
his heart was racing a million miles an hour as he whipped his head around frantically, searching desperately for any sign of his friends or an exit. but there was nothing but darkness in every direction.
"mark? jaemin? haechan??" he called out, his voice shaking with terror. only his echo answered back mockingly. he began hyperventilating, the utter isolation and uncertainty spiking his fear to an all time high.
y/n stumbled blindly through the darkness, whimpering in terror as every small creak or groan threatened to stop his heart. he just wanted out, more than he'd ever wanted anything in his life.
how could he have let himself get separated? what if he was trapped in here forever, completely alone in the endless maze of horrors? y/n gripped his hair tightly, feeling completely overwhelmed with panic and dread.
Tumblr media
rounding another corner, a ghostly figure suddenly phased right through the wall with an eerie wail. y/n shrieked and fell backwards in terror, scrambling backwards until his back hit a solid surface. shaking violently, he curled up into a ball and broke down sobbing.
the actor paused, taken aback by such an extreme reaction. most people just jumped or screamed, not full on crying. feeling bad, they knelt down and gently touched y/n's shoulder. "h-hey, it's okay, it's not real."
y/n flinched at the touch, eyes squeezed shut. slowly opening them, he was met with a concerned face framed by fluffy black hair, mask in hand. "you're really scared, huh? i'm jisung, i work here. what's your name?"
as jisung led y/n through the remaining haunted areas, every sound and movement had y/n grasping onto jisung's hand even tighter. jisung gave it a reassuring squeeze. "it's okay, i've got you. just stay close to me."
trying to catch his breath, y/n shakily replied "y-y/n...i g-got separated from m-my friends..." jisung nodded in understanding. "well don't worry, we'll get you out of here. deep breaths, you're safe now."
they turned a corner and came face to face with a gruesome corpse prop. y/n yelped and buried his face against jisung's arm with a sob. jisung wrapped an arm comfortingly around his shoulders. "shh, it's okay. i'm right here with you."
he began gently rubbing y/n's arm in soothing strokes. "take some deep breaths. you're safe with me, i promise." his calming voice and tender touch slowly helped y/n's erratic breathing start to steady.
emerging from the darkness of the haunted house, y/n could finally see jisung clearly in the moonlight without his mask. and his breath caught in his throat - jisung was stunning, the most gorgeous face he had ever laid eyes on. plush pink lips, sparkling eyes, soft black hair that looked so touchable...y/n thought he must be dreaming to encounter an angel like this.
as they walked, jisung continued holding y/n protectively against his side, occasionally whispering gentle reassurances. the fear began to melt away under jisung's caring attentions. by the end, y/n was still alert but no longer trembling violently.

"there, see? we made it through," jisung smiled as they exited. the ordeal had left y/n exhausted but also strangely comforted by this new presence. he felt a connection forming with the black haired boy who had saved him from his panic.
just then, jisung turned to him with a smile, opening his mouth to speak. but before he could get a word out, a familiar voice rang out: "y/n!!"
he turned to see jaemin, mark and haechan running towards them, relief and worry on their faces. "you made it out!" jaemin exclaimed, pulling him into a tight hug. "we were so scared when you took off like that."
y/n hugged them back, grateful but also a bit disappointed that the moment with jisung was interrupted. he glanced back to see the black haired boy watching with a shy smile, hands in his pockets.
"i, uh, actually ran into a person in there. he helped me find my way out, his name's jisung," y/n admitted sheepishly as his friends finally released him. jaemin turned to jisung with a grin. "thanks so much for saving our scaredy cat friend here!"
a light blush colored jisung's cheeks at the praise. y/n couldn't help but gaze at him softly, already smitten by this unexpected savior and his kindness.
y/n turned back to jisung, mustering up a shy smile of his own. "thank you...really, for everything. i don't know what i would've done without you in there," he said gratefully.
jisung rubbed the back of his neck, cheeks pinking up again. "it was no problem, really. i'm just glad you're feeling better." y/n was struck again by how kind and beautiful his savior's face was.
an idea came to him then. "at least let me treat you to dinner, to say thank you properly." jisung hesitated, not wanting to impose. but y/n insisted sweetly, "please? i’d really like to."
those soft brown eyes were impossible to say no to. jisung laughed softly. "alright." they shared a smile, something blossoming between them in that moment.
y/n turned back to his friends. "wanna hang out at the park until jisung's shift is over? then we can go get food." they all readily agreed, interested to get to know their new friend as well.
a couple hours passed in a flash of games, rides, dinner and jisung's delightful company. all too soon, it was time for them to go home. but y/n had other plans.
"you guys go on ahead, i’m gonna walk jisung home," he said simply. his friends shared knowing grins and catcalls as they departed, leaving the two boys blushing in the night. could this be the start of something truly special?

To say long distance was hard would be a massive understatement. But was it worth it? Every bit. Course, it came with hardships - not being able to see each other often or touch each other, but it was so worth it. "Hey…" He smiled at you softly, taking in your features once you answered his call. "Hey sungie! I missed you." you responded, eyes full of love as you gazed at him. His hair had changed colour for the new comeback, now back to its natural shade, with slight bags under his eyes due to the busy schedule he'd been having.
Jisung chuckled, he could hear the joy in your voice. "I missed you too…baby." Jisung smiled, he had been waiting all day for you to be home. When you finally messaged him that you reached home, he immediately called you. "it's been a while…" He sighed. He felt as though time was passing by so slowly, especially since it was taking him so long to see you. Jisung tried to smile but something was weighing down on him. "Ji? What's up, sweet?" you asked gently, your smile turning into a frown. He took a deep breath, his leg anxiously bouncing as he took a moment to respond. "I hate being long-distance." he admitted quietly, trying to hide him getting emotional. "I love you so much, but I just...I want us together." he continued, his voice cracking and eyes glossy.
"Oh, angel.." you murmured softly, eyes softening. "Hey, hey, hey..we'll get through this together." you tried to comfort, immediately pulling your laptop out. "Baby…" Jisung's voice broke as he let himself break down. He couldn't contain his emotions. "I'm sorry, I'm just…" Jisung's voice was breaking as he tried to speak. He was fighting back tears as he tried his best to stop himself as he was starting to cry. "I just miss you too much…" Jisung said, wiping his eyes with one of his hands. "Don't ever apologise, Ji." you assured, eyes gentle as you looked at your laptop for something. Jisung sniffled, his lip twitching slightly as he looked at you. His heart beating fast as he waited for what you were about to show him. "What is it?" He wondered as he wiped away his tears with his free hand.
"I'm coming to see you."
----
You were in his room at the dorms, waiting for him to get back from wherever he was, the other dream members helping to surprise him. you stayed quiet as you heard voices enter the dorms and footsteps approaching his room. Jisung walked in with the Dream members behind him, a huge smile covering his face when he saw you. He looked as if he was a little in disbelief. All the Dream members smiled as they watched and waited for Jisung to see you in the room waiting for him. "Told you, sungie." you grinned, standing up and giggling softly at his reaction.
Jisung rushed over to you, hugging you tightly. The dream members laughed at his reaction as they smiled. "You really came…" Jisung grinned, still in disbelief that you were here with him. His eyes were wide as he pulled back slightly to get a look at you. "Of course I did." you murmured, cupping his face and pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. Jisung wrapped his arms around your waist, grinning as he felt your body press against his. He enjoyed this moment, embracing every ounce of you before planting a soft kiss on your chin. "I love you…" Jisung said, a wide grin forming on his face as the dream members left the room. Now it was just both of you alone in his room on his bed. "I love you so much more, my sweet boy." you whispered, kissing him lovingly.
Jisung returned the soft kiss before kissing you back more passionately. He held your body close to his as your hands ran through each other's hair. He was lost in the moment as he wrapped both his arms around you, holding you back gently. It was just the two of you in his room, now sharing each other's presence. It felt surreal to him, being in this same room with you, finally able to touch and hold you. He missed this feeling of being with you physically. "Oh! These are for you too." you hummed, reaching over to his desk to grab the flower bouquet.
Jisung looked surprised as he heard you pick something up from his desk. He was curious as to what you picked up. He looked over to see you holding a flower bouquet. He looked at you with an excited expression on his face. "Oh! You bought me flowers?…" Jisung gasped, looking at the bouquet as a soft smile spread across his face. "Flowers for my pretty boy." you murmured softly, forehead against his. Jisung chuckled softly, gently wrapping his hands around the bouquet and pulling it closer to him with a fond grin. "Thank you baby…" He grinned, then wrapped his arms around you gently, pressing his lips to your forehead in appreciation.
This is exactly what he needed after a long week.

THE BITING WIND BLEW HARSHLY at your cheeks, turning them redder than they already were. It felt as if there were a million shards of ice slowly chipping away at your skin, your skin cells freezing off your face.
What a warm welcome to Seoul, you thought sardonically.
You had enrolled in Seoul Institute of the Arts for one reason alone, and that was that the only cousin who was your age, Na Jaemin, had applied to go there last year. Having made an unexpected decision not to go into Neurosciences like the rest of his friends, Jaemin found himself blissfully alone and afraid to apply. He wasn’t planning on going alone, yet he desperately wanted to get in, so he had decided to turn to you for assistance.
That was the first time you had heard him admit that you were his favourite cousin (you probably weren’t). You had been on the other end of the spectrum at the time, completely unsure what direction you wanted your life to continue in. You had had no idea what to pursue, and had hence decided to make an impulsive decision to apply to Seoul Institute of the Arts with Jaemin.
To be very honest, you hadn’t expected to get in. It was a spur of the moment decision, and SIA was an extremely prestigious university. Your background in visual arts was minimal, so you were mostly relying on your extensive dance history to carry you through it.
Unfortunately for you, it worked. This was how you had ended up on the plane to Seoul a year later, your regret almost as bitter as the cold when you thought about how lonely you would be.
Your grasp of the Korean language was minimal, and you hated how the phonetic sounds differed just slightly, enough for you to get it wrong but not for you to understand why.
It was alright when you lived in the United Kingdom, because there you only had to say a few words in Korean to impress your non-Korean relatives. Privately, your mother had taken you out of the Korean international school when she saw that your Korean hadn’t improved in the slightest.
In Korea, you would be disadvantaged both by the language barrier and your lack of passion for your major. Besides, if the weather continued to be as cold as it was at the moment, you might as well have stayed in England. At least there, you could romantically share an umbrella with someone in the dreary rain. What could you do in Korea, huddle with someone as you ran from building to building while a flurry of white snow fell from the sky? How pathetic.
You were absorbed in your thoughts, feet carrying you mindlessly through the steps towards the arrival area. You struggled and stuttered your way through immigration with broken sentences, finally making your way to the taxi stand.
You were mentally preparing yourself to exit the warmth of the airport and face the freezing temperatures when you heard your name, face turning towards the direction of the familiar voice.
Jaemin ran up to you, the soft smile gracing his face as close to a wide grin as you could get from him. He threw his hands around you, hugging you tightly, and you collapsed into his warmth, so relieved that he was there. Maybe Seoul wouldn’t be so bad after all.
When he let go of you, composing himself, you took the time to scan the new faces. Jaemin hadn’t come alone; he had come with three other friends, who were all looking at you expectantly with welcoming gazes.
“I’m L/n Y/n,” you told them politely. “Jaemin’s my cousin, and my mother and his father are siblings.” With that, you ran out of things to say, and you stared at the group with an awkward smile as the silence turned thick with hesitation.
The silence was then broken by a rather cheerful individual amongst Jaemin’s friends, who said, “Shall we go? It’s late, and I’m sure you’re tired from the long flight. We’ll take a taxi back to the dormitory and show you your room. You and Jaemin are staying together, right?”
You nodded gratefully as the young man took the lead, and the rest of you followed suit. Jaemin reached out to help you with your luggage, but you shook your head. There was no need since you hadn’t brought much to Korea. You intended to buy anything you needed there since you assumed the clothes you needed would be quite different from those you owned.
You quickly came to realise that the young man who had just spoken was the only extrovert in the group. You and Jaemin were introverts and perfectly content to sit in silence. The others didn’t seem to make any attempt to strike up a conversation, letting the silence settle comfortably over you. However, despite being in the passenger seat and therefore the furthest from the rest, the young man simply wouldn’t stop talking.
He introduced himself as Lee Donghyuck who had graduated from the same high school as Jaemin. He and Jaemin had only met a month ago when they first moved into the dorm. You had had to make arrangements for your flight when you received the acceptance letter, so you were among the later few to arrive.
Although Donghyuck and Jaemin were essentially strangers, it wouldn’t have seemed so to a passerby. Donghyuck ensured that there was never a dull or awkward moment and that no opportunity to flirt with his friends was missed.
You had only known Donghyuck for an hour and yet you were already starting to like him. You relaxed into the seat, closing your eyes and exhaling in relief as the sound of Donghyuck’s voice prattling away filled your ears.
He talked during the entire ride, telling you about the rooming conditions—four to a room, and you were with him, Renjun and Mark, the other two in the car—, the professors’ reputations that he had gotten from the seniors, and the other three boys who were sleeping and weren’t able to pick you up.
Usually a talk like that would have drained your energy, using up all your social battery trying to think of a reply to keep the conversation going. However, the thing about Donghyuck was that he didn’t expect you to answer. He was perfectly fine with the sound of his voice being the only thing filling the silence, which made it much more bearable.
You only realised that you had fallen asleep when Jaemin shook your shoulder to wake you up. In the corner of your bleary vision, you caught sight of Mark paying for the ride, and you instinctively reached for your wallet before realising it was safely tucked away in your back pocket. Which you were sitting on.
Sighing, you silently apologised to your parents for not maintaining basic etiquette and insisting on paying, clambering out of the taxi with shaky legs, feeling a little tired (not that you would admit it).
You soon realised that Donghyuck was a clingy person. While you leaned on Jaemin for support as you wheeled your luggage along, he leaned on Renjun’s shoulder, upbeat as ever despite the late timing. The high-pitched voice that he used to talk to Renjun would have been cringey if it wasn’t him doing it. Somehow, when Donghyuck was doing it, it was cute and endearing.
The room that you were assigned was on the second floor, so you had to choose between climbing the stairs and lugging the heavy luggage up or walking out of the way to find the lift.
Obviously, as the lazy person that you were, you chose the former. With a grunt and a heave, you somehow managed to get the luggage up the stairs while Donghyuck cheered you on.
“You’ve got this, Y/n! I believe in you!” When he saw that it wasn’t working, he even threw in a little “Fighting!” and you smiled despite your exhaustion. You would have laughed if the ache in your shoulders wasn’t killing you.
Fortunately, that was the hardest part. The rest was easy—you left your shoes outside the door, placed your luggage at the side so you could unpack your nightwear and take the things you needed for your shower. Donghyuck, Mark and Renjun followed you inside while Jaemin retreated to his own room.
The room was surprisingly cozy, with enough space for a bookcase, desk, and four single beds. There was a mini fridge in the corner of the room, so that was what you went to first.
The guys had placed their personal belongings neatly, so you followed suit, taking out your personal items and setting your luggage upright against the wall. While you did so, Mark and Donghyuck used the two attached restrooms to get changed while Renjun sat on the floor and watched you curiously.
“Where are you from, if you don’t mind me asking? You couldn’t have studied in Korea, surely. Jaemin didn’t exactly tell us much about you,” Renjun said.
“My mother grew up in Korea, and went to England to study. She met my father there, and I grew up in England, but I do know a little Korean,” you said with difficulty. “And you? Your name doesn’t sound very Korean either.”
“I’m from China but came to Korea because my grandmother suggested it. I actually came on a scholarship and went to the same high school as Donghyuck. All of us went to the same one, actually.”
You nodded in understanding. Understandably, people gravitated towards those they knew, especially in unfamiliar environments.
“Donghyuck actually initiated this. I’m not sure if you realised, but he’s very outgoing. He somehow found out all of our phone numbers, knew of my existence through passing me in the hallways, got Jaemin’s number from a mutual friend, Jeno, and created a group chat. Even now, I still think it was a lot of effort, but it seems to have worked. And, you know, it isn’t half as awkward anymore.”
That did sound like something you would expect of Donghyuck, you thought. As Renjun finished speaking, Donghyuck and Mark came out of the restroom, and you brushed past them as you went inside to take a quick shower.
The shower did wonders for your exhaustion. Your muscles didn’t feel half as tense anymore, and you actually felt fresh and comfortable in warm clothes. You rubbed your hair dry as you exited the restroom, glancing at the filled beds.
Mark and Renjun were lying in bed, and they gave you a quick goodnight as you made your way over to the last empty bed, right next to Donghyuck. He was dressed in a baggy hoodie, sitting hunched over at the edge of his bed, looking intently at his phone.
If it were Jaemin, who also happened to have a terrible shrimp posture, you would have tapped his back to remind him to sit up straight, taken his phone from him while setting it down on the bedside table and told him to sleep.
As it was, he was Donghyuck, not your cousin, so you didn’t have the right to do so. Instead, you snuggled into your bed, pulling the blanket up to your chin until you were nice and warm, shutting your eyes as you said, “G’night, Donghyuck.”
You didn’t see him raise his head and turn to see you, smiling when he realised that you had spoken to him properly for the first time that day. He whispered softly, “G’night,” and put his phone away. He let out a sigh of relief as he flopped onto the bed and fell fast asleep.

YOU QUICKLY SETTLED INTO A ROUTINE at the university. It was easy to do so when each of your days had a set schedule and things for you to do. It was never monotonous, but the structure helped to keep you going and not stop.
In the mornings, you woke up to beverages on the table, which Donghyuck bought for everyone. At first, he hadn’t gotten your order right. He had memorised the others’ orders during the month that they had been roommates before you arrived, but took a couple of times to get what you wanted right.
Coffee from Donghyuck looked something like this: a cup of steaming hot coffee would somehow make its way to the table in the mornings after you came out of the shower, or finished changing your clothes. The coffee was always accompanied by a note. For Renjun, it was a compliment, and it was often about how pretty his eyes were. For Mark, it was either a “you’re so amazing, never forget it”, or a “stupid fool”. There was never an in-between.
And for you?
Well, on the first day, it was a frappuccino with plenty of sprinkles on it, the sugar content so high you were sure it made up for the lack of actual caffeine in it. That gave you a sugar rush so bad you could barely sit still in lectures, knees constantly jiggling under the table.
You knocked over your bottle twice that day and even almost dropped your laptop on the floor because your knee hit the bottom of the table, causing your laptop to slip.
After that, Donghyuck realised sugar wasn’t your thing.
The second day, he went for an espresso that probably had eight shots in it. (It was then accompanied by a pickup line, “do you have a map? cuz i got lost in your eyes”. It was cheesy, but some part of your heart found it cute.) You recognised it as Jaemin’s order, and had laughed to yourself when you realised that Donghyuck wasn’t very good at guessing what you liked.
However, you stopped laughing as soon as you tasted the drink. The espresso was pure caffeine, so black and bitter you wanted to spit out every sip you took of it. You probably would have been better able to stomach a shrimp linguini that you were allergic to than you did the espresso.
That day was pure hell. Your classes didn’t begin until the afternoon, so the day began with a dance class. You missed your bus and had the taste of the espresso in your mouth while you suffered through your dance class. The teacher was strict, which you generally didn’t mind, but that day, it felt like he was out to get you. He corrected you at every turn, and you had every mind to quit.
Afterwards, you realised that you had forgotten to do the pre-reading for your class and had to rush it as you sprinted to the building, only managing to absorb at most a quarter of what you were meant to know.
To make things worse, you had gotten lost three times trying to find the classroom and were late and completely lost for the whole class. You eventually gave up trying to comprehend what was happening, instead leaning over to the seat next to you and asking your classmate to send you his notes.
He was a little confused, but he agreed, and that was how (you thought) you made your first friend outside Jaemin’s friend group.
It later turned out that his name was Jeno, and he was the mutual friend that Renjun had told you about. So he knew both Donghyuck and Jaemin, so all your pride in talking to someone new dissipated faster than the taste of espresso in your mouth.
Since you didn’t really have many other friends besides the “dreamies”, which was what Jaemin’s friend group called themselves, you had no one but them to complain about your terrible day.
Donghyuck learnt his lesson for the next time. The third time, Donghyuck bought you jasmine green tea with boba at 25% percent sugar because he “remembered that you didn’t like the sugar rush the first time”. He had circled the sticker on the cup in red pen so you could see the exact order and had written: without milk, because i'm not sure if you’re lactose intolerant.
You were glad that he had finally caught on and realised that you didn’t like coffee much. While you weren’t the biggest fan of tea, you did enjoy boba and that ended up being the most pleasant beverage out of them all. It was partly because he had considered your possible allergies and remembered your dislike of the frappuccino. But more importantly, you liked it because Donghyuck had put so much effort into trying to find something that you would like instead of simply asking you what you liked like a normal person.
However, even that wasn’t the end of it. Donghyuck could tell from your reaction to the drink that it wasn’t something you were expecting and was dead set on finding out your favourite drink order.
It took about five more tries before he finally found out.
It happened when Mark came to pick you up after your dance class, with Jisung (one of the dreamies) in the passenger seat and Donghyuck in the back seat of the car. You had all but collapsed into the seat, limbs tiredly splayed out across the backseat of the car.
To his credit, Donghyuck hadn’t complained about you taking up space, only shifting so that you could comfortably sprawl across two seats while he sat upright in his. When you stretched and knocked his jaw, he laughed good-naturedly and lowered the middle seat so that you could prop your head up and rest comfortably.
When you woke up, the car was parked in front of a convenience store, and Mark told you that Donghyuck and Jisung had gone to get some ramyeon and other items.
Despite Mark’s protests, you zipped up your jacket and climbed out of the car, intent on getting yourself a box of Nesquik packets to get your energy up after the long day.
You intercepted Donghyuck at the glass doors, dragging him with you as you made your purchase and held it in your hand sheepishly as you followed Jisung back to the car, waving your box of Nesquik packets at Mark in explanation as you entered the car.
Mark nodded knowingly, and as he started driving off, he asked, “You’ll make me a cup too, right?”
You nodded, replying in English. “Of course. That’s what friends are for.”
“Oh, so you’ll make it for me because we’re friends, not because you want to thank me for my driving services?”
“That too,” you shrugged. Donghyuck looked between the two of you, completely lost.
“Can I have a translation, please?” As Mark translated it to Donghyuck, you took note of the words you were unsure of, taking out your phone to note it down. You were too busy trying to catch what Mark said to notice the fond look Donghyuck gave you, mentally noting to help you with Korean when he could.
After that day, Donghyuck always made you hot Nesquik in the evenings, and you grew used to coming home to a hot steamy mug of the delicious beverage.
Amidst the busy classes, being with Donghyuck felt like the calmness of the deep waters in the middle of a storm. His presence made the mountain of work piling up feel manageable and made all your stress and worries seem trivial. Donghyuck made everything bearable for you.
Throughout the semester, you constantly had to translate different your pre-reading to English and record your lectures to come back to Mark to ask him for help. Mark probably learnt more from your lectures than you did, but it helped enormously.
Mark was always patient, never growing tired of helping you. When he couldn’t translate something either, you always fell back on good old Google Translate or simply asked the professor yourself.
Some of the professors spoke fluent English, which was a huge help, and most were willing to help you as long as you showed initiative in taking charge of your own learning.
One afternoon, you returned to the dorm with a cinnamon roll in hand and your papers in the other, looking for Mark to help you.
Unfortunately, Mark was away, having been called to help tutor another of his friends. The only one at the dormitory was Donghyuck, who was busy tapping away at his laptop. Disappointed, you turned to leave to find your professor instead when Donghyuck turned, seemingly having a sixth sense for your presence.
“‘Sup,” He nodded at the papers in your hand. “Do you need help with those, or…?”
You nodded sheepishly. “Yeah, I was gonna ask Mark for help, but it seems like he’s not here, so I’m going to find one of my professors instead. Or probably one of the other students, I don’t know.”
Donghyuck waved you over to the desk, and you pulled out a chair and sat down. He hummed as he read through the sheaf of papers before handing them back to you.
“I can’t say I’m very good at English, but I’m sure we could figure it out together. Anyway, we both major in Fine Arts, so it can’t be that hard, right?”
That was how you and Donghyuck ended up at the shared desk in your room, huddled over papers as you groaned about terminology. You didn’t understand why dance needed such complicated terminology; if dance teachers could “hm ah one-two” their way through their classes, surely you didn’t need your major to get a job in the industry.
However, Donghyuck refused to let you give up, guiding you through the questions one by one. The pre-reading was especially difficult, but when Donghyuck let you read it aloud and helped you with words you didn’t understand, suddenly, it felt a lot easier.
It helped that the professor had plenty of visual resources, and pictures and videos helped to attract your attention. Whenever there was a video of a certain dance technique you needed to know about, you eagerly clicked on it, grateful for the reprieve it offered from the constant onslaught of words on your screen.
Somehow, just like that, the afternoon passed by rather quickly, with both of you efficiently clearing everything that you needed to by the time Mark returned with takeout for all of you.
Donghyuck reached out to help taking the containers out of the plastic bag, hissing sharply and almost dropping the container on the table. “It’s hot!”
“What were you expecting?” You asked incredulously.
He shrugged. “I thought it would have cooled down on the ride here or something.”
Mark stared at him. “My car’s heated.”
The realisation hit Donghyuck like a truck, and you couldn’t help the laugh that burst out of you at his shocked face. “Right, shit. I forgot about that.”
You were doubled over in laughter, and Renjun had to shake your shoulders roughly to get you to stop. When you could finally stand straight again, you looked Donghyuck in the eyes and snorted.
“You’re pretty dumb for someone who knew all the answers to my homework,” you told him.
“Well, you’re pretty annoying for someone who just got my help for his homework,” he retorted.
You couldn’t argue with that. You made a face, to which Donghyuck made a face back, and you harrumphed and sat down to enjoy your takeout.
You noisily slurped your noodles, some of the sauce splashing on your face. Before you could reach up to wipe it away, Donghyuck reached for your chin, pulled you towards him, and gently wiped your face clean with his thumb.
You froze, caught in his gaze. The two of you stared at each other, Donghyuck raising his eyebrows and smirking, before you finally shook your head free of his grasp and moved back, flustered. You were sure that your face was as red as a tomato, but Donghyuck only laughed.
He laughed like it was nothing, and the careless sound of his laughter mixed with the look on his face made you smile too. You couldn’t help it, his happiness was contagious, and sometimes you found that Donghyuck made your life a lot more bearable.
Tumblr media
“I'M BORED.”
Donghyuck was sprawled out on the bed, glasses resting precariously on the tip of his nose (he’d forgotten to wear his night lenses the night before). Next to him, Renjun was sitting on the edge of his bed, studiously texting Chenle. Even Mark, the most disciplined of you all, wasn’t doing work.
The room smelled of dirty clothes and… Chinese takeout? You cast a glance over at the coffee table that you ate at, and realised that there were still empty takeout containers on the table. You quickly went to throw them away, scrunching your nose in disgust at the sheer amount of hoodies piled up on bags, the backs of the chairs, and generally strewn about messily.
“Yah, Donghyuck, come and clean up your mess.”
Donghyuck looked over at your annoyed face and quickly got up, obediently putting his clothes away and throwing the dirty ones into the hamper.
“I’m going to bring these to the laundromat, why don’t you call the others over and we’ll have a pizza party? I don’t think any of us is in the mood to do work now.”
Donghyuck nodded eagerly. “Let’s do it. Y/n, what pizza would you like?”
“Jaemin knows. Just get whatever the majority wants and we’ll share.”
“Sounds good,” Mark chimed in. “And, Y/n, can you bring this too?” He handed you a bag full of dirty clothes and you shifted the hamper over to one side so you could handle both, and Renjun helped you with the door as you shuffled out.
When you came back, Jaemin informed you that he had ordered pepperoni for you, since Jeno wanted some meat, and Donghyuck had gotten Hawaiian and four-cheese for the others. They had bought the largest size, so hopefully it would be enough for all of you.
When the pizza came, everyone dove in with renewed energy, the lethargic boys coming back to life as they scarfed down the food. Donghyuck reached out to take a slice of your pizza, withdrawing when he realised that there were olives on it.
“What, you don’t like—what’s the word?” You asked.
“Olives?” Mark supplied.
“Yeah, olives?”
“Nah,” Donghyuck replied. “‘M not a fan.” Yet his face betrayed him, and you could see the longing in his eyes as he watched you eat your pizza, looking down sadly at his own.
“Do you want to trade? You can pass me the olives from the pepperoni, and I’ll take your Hawaiian as long as you keep the pineapples.”
“You don’t like pineapples?” Donghyuck asked, scandalised.
“Of course not, who does?” You looked at Jaemin. “Come on, Jaem, back me up on this. Besides, fruit on pizza is such a strange concept.”
“Tomato’s a fruit,” Jisung pointed out, mouth full.
You frowned. “Don’t talk with your mouth open. But okay, fair point, I concede. Fruit on pizza isn’t weird, just pineapple on pizza.”
“Hey!” You threw Donghyuck a triumphant grin, handing him a slice of pizza with the olives plucked off, heaped on your plate. There was oil dripping from your hands and mouth, so you wiped your chin with the back of your hand and got up to wash your hands.
“Don’t touch my pizza,” you warned.
Renjun mock-gasped. “How scary!” When you glared at him, he quickly corrected himself, “Oh, I meant, ‘wouldn’t dream of it!’”, to which you nodded approvingly in response.
You returned to your seat only to find Donghyuck had started a new, heated discussion, and everyone was participating actively, except for Jeno, who looked content with stuffing his mouth and just listening.
“I think it’s fine if they separate the leaves, it’s just weird if they do it while giggling and giving each other flirtatious looks,” Chenle was saying.
“But there’s no other reason to do that than to flirt!” Donghyuck cried out.
“What’s going on?” Renjun, bless his soul, explained the perilla debate to you while Donghyuck and Chenle went at each other’s throats. It turned out that the perilla debate was very simple: if your significant other helped to separate the pesky perilla leaves for your close friend to eat, was that acceptable?
You cocked your head in confusion. That was a topic up for debate? It was simple enough to leave people alone to eat, especially if they were both people you knew and trusted. If you could bring them out to eat together, what was the reason for you to prevent interaction between them? If you were that sensitive, you might as well not have invited them to eat at the same meal.
You voiced out your thoughts, but Donghyuck wasn’t having it. “It’s just dumb. Why was your significant other paying attention to the friend? They should be paying attention to you!”
You gave him a hard look. “Seriously? It’s not like you can forbid interaction between two people you love. You just think it’s weird because you’re an outrageous flirt, and in those circumstances, you would definitely be doing it with an ulterior motive.”
Chenle and Mark nodded in unison. “Face it, Hyuck, your opinion is just wrong.”
Donghyuck pouted and turned his back to you all, furiously opening up the food app on his phone and tapping away.
Jeno leaned over his shoulder to take a peek and began laughing uncontrollably, almost choking on the food in his mouth. “He’s ordering a dish with perilla leaves on it to prove his point!”
The entire room burst out into laughter, and you were so loud you heard a knocking on the door as someone told you to “shut the hell up, it’s already 10pm and some people want peace and silence.”
Subdued, the laughter died out, but wide grins remained on your faces as you watched Donghyuck in amusement, intent on proving his point and unwilling to give up until he had showed you all.
The food arrived faster than you had expected, and Donghyuck ran to the door to receive it, laying out the bowl and showing everyone the perilla leaves.
He handed Jaemin a pair of chopsticks and pointed to the dish. “Okay, Jaemin, you’re going to pretend that you can’t pick up the perilla leaves, and then I’ll swoop in and save the day.”
Jaemin immediately shook his head, vigorously expressing his disagreement. “I’m not getting dragged into this stupid shit. Jisung, take the chopsticks.”
Jisung crossed his hands over his chest, waving away the chopsticks. “Why don’t you pass it to Y/n? He’s the one who started this whole thing, after all.”
You were shoved into the seat opposite Donghyuck, a defeated sigh leaving your lips as you took the chopsticks and tried to pick up the perilla leaves with your chopsticks. You didn’t even have to fake a failed attempt to pick it up; your chopstick skills had never been good, so no matter how you tried, you couldn’t pick it up.
Seeing your genuine struggle, Donghyuck took the chance to expertly pick up the leaves and separated one piece from the rest (show-off). “Ahh,” he said, and you opened your mouth instinctively.
“Is it good?” He asked sweetly, and you nodded dumbly. It was actually pretty good, but you didn’t know why. You had never liked perilla leaves much, but maybe the way Donghyuck was looking at you or the pressurising gaze on your back made it taste a lot better than you used to think it did.
“That’s good, Y/n-ah.” He reached over to brush your hair out of your face, but it just flopped back down in front of your eyes again. He giggled, and that was your breaking point, and you broke out of character, laughing into your palm as Donghyuck shrugged as if to say, See? “I told you, it’s an intimate gesture!”
You shook your head exasperatedly. “If you say so, Lee Donghyuck.”
You went back to eating, peeling off the ham and cheese from your pizza to save for later. It was your favourite part of the pizza, so you didn’t want to waste it.
“Y/n…” Chenle’s warning tone made you look up in fear.
“Yes?”
“What in the world are you doing?”
“I just like ham and cheese,” you replied defensively. “Is there something wrong with that?”
Chenle shook his head exasperatedly. “No, just- that’s the weirdest way of eating pizza I’ve ever seen.”
“Well,” you said, licking your fingers clean, “Jaemin used to separate the gummies into flavours and pass me all the strawberry ones when he was little because he hates strawberries, so you should give me a pass for this one.”
While Jaemin tried to defend himself against your sudden jab at him, Jeno set up his computer on the table and waved everyone who was done eating over onto the bed, using his mini projector (he was a film major) to project his screen on the wall.
“What do y’all want to watch?”
“All of us are dead,” Renjun said without hesitation. You and Jisung looked at each other nervously, not being lovers of horror movies and especially hesitant because of the zombies in the series. However, you were outnumbered 6 to 2, so you settled in under the blanket and drew it up to your eyes, prepared to scream if anything scary happened.
Jisung didn’t join you, probably to hang onto whatever shreds of fragile masculinity he still had. You had thrown away all of yours because it wasn’t like you could control your fear anyway. You preferred to scream in comfort, thank you very much.
The episode started out surprisingly tame, so you lowered the blanket and leaned forward to get a better look.
Donghyuck let out a little “oof” when you rested your chin on his shoulder, but only scooted backwards so you could have a better view.
You were just starting to get absorbed in the story, thinking that maybe it wasn’t so bad after all, when one of the girls was turned into a zombie.
“Fuck!” You screamed, leaping back as the girl’s neck cracked at an unnatural angle, blood dripping from her nostrils and mouth. You cowered under the blanket that you had hurriedly pulled over your head, shuddering in fear with your hands clasped tightly over your ears.
You were still trembling when you finally decided to peek out from under the blanket, meeting Mark’s and Donghyuck’s concerned eyes with a reassuring smile.
“I'm all right, y’all. Just surprised.”
Mark snorted. As if. But he didn’t challenge you, instead asking, “Why the hell do you know fuck in Korean and not ‘delivery service’? One of them is clearly more commonly used than the other.”
“Yeah, and that’s fuck. I think you forgot that we’re all still teenage guys and male youths. Swearing is part of our vocabulary.”
“Fair enough,” Mark conceded.
Donghyuck, on the other hand, came closer to you, back pressed to the wall as he rubbed your back comfortingly. “Do you want to watch something else?”
You shook your head. “No, it’s alright. It’s actually interesting, I just get grossed out.”
Donghyuck nodded in understanding. “I'll sit beside you, and when the scary scenes show up, I'll cover your ears so you can pull the blanket over yourself. Sounds good?”
You nodded.
The episode continued, and you successfully made it three entire episodes before you got another jumpscare, and Donghyuck did as he had promised, wrapping your head tightly in a hug so you couldn't hear a single thing.
He squealed, “cute!” when you were scared and hugged you tightly. He covered your view so well you didn’t even need the blanket to hide the scene from yourself.
Donghyuck ended up hugging you for the rest of the night, and you leaned your head on his shoulder and squeezed his hands extra tightly whenever something happened, shutting your eyes when you heard any crunching sound.
Just like that, you made it through one season of “All of Us are Dead”, falling asleep past midnight with your only friends in university in your room, with someone by your side embracing you as you slowly drifted off to sleep.
While you were asleep, the others cleaned up the mess that they had made, throwing out the empty pizza boxes and takeout utensils, wiping the table clean and moving all clothes to one side.
The dreamies from the other room left after bidding Mark, Renjun and Donghyuck goodnight, while the remaining three in your room took turns showering in the toilet.
When Donghyuck, the last of the three, came out of the toilet towelling his hair dry, he realised that you were lying across two beds, blanket kicked off your feet.
He hung his towel up and went over to you, sighing as he placed his hands under you and tried to lift you up.
However, he forgot that you were both taller and bulkier than him, and staggered back when he tried to carry you. He rested his hands on his hips, staring down at you as the gears whirred in his mind, trying to figure out a way to move you.
Mark’s eyes flitted open, and he had a clear view of you and Donghyuck from his bed. He saw Donghyuck struggling but chose not to say a thing, waiting patiently for Donghyuck to make another move.
With a soft groan, Donghyuck hefted you into his arms and staggered around the bed before dropping you back down, in the correct position that time, on the right bed.
Luckily, you were fast asleep, so you didn’t wake up. Mark reached over to Renjun’s bed and nudged him awake, whispering, “Bet you 10,000 won that when they end up together, Donghyuck will kiss Y/n first.”
Confusion flashed over Renjun’s face before he understood. He hadn’t realised that Donghyuck was clearly interested in you, hadn’t even known that he was interested in males until Mark pointed it out. But once it had been brought to his attention, it seemed as if it had been clear all along.
“He’ll never confess aloud, I bet Y/n will have to make the first move,” Renjun countered.
“We’ll see,” Mark said. Renjun agreed, and soon the room fell silent as all four occupants drifted off into dreamland.

THE NEXT DAY WAS A SATURDAY, so everyone woke up late. By the time you opened your eyes, it was 9am, and you were the second one up. The bed beside you was Donghyuck’s, and it was empty.
Donghyuck didn’t seem like a morning person to you, so you were surprised that he had left the dormitory room so early in the morning. You blinked tiredly, hauling yourself out of bed to get breakfast. The sound of you rummaging through the mini-fridge for food must have been quite loud, because Mark woke up and stared blankly at you, eyelids drooping sleepily.
“What’re you doing?” He mumbled.
“Looking for ingredients to make breakfast with. We only have ramyeon, but I’m pretty sick of that.”
“Hyuck works at his mom’s bakery on weekends, there’s probably food there. If you’re hungry, just head over and get food from him. He’ll know what we like, and you can buy whatever you want.” With that, Mark fell back asleep before you could ask him to tell you the address.
Just then, a yellow-coloured post-it on the table caught your eye and you went over to take a look. It said in neat handwriting, “y/n, i’ve left for work. if you want to come over to café 127, you can study there and we can take the bus back to the dorms afterwards. it’s pretty close by,” and the address, signed with “yours, hyuck.”
“Huh,” you said, tucking the note into your pocket after looking up what bus to take to get there. It was only a couple of stops away, awfully convenient, and you weren’t going to give up the chance to study.
You changed into presentable clothes, grabbing a coat and your wallet before heading out of the door.
The café was bigger than you had expected. It was really close to the university, and located on the streets, so you couldn't possibly miss it. You loitered outside the café for a bit, debating whether to go in.
A flash of movement caught your eye, and you saw Donghyuck flitting about, taking customers’ orders.
Inhaling deeply, you squashed your nerves and calmed yourself down, going inside.
The café smelt like… Donghyuck, oddly enough. It smelt like vanilla essence and chocolate chips, and the same scent of perfume that Donghyuck probably used. You must have unconsciously associated the scent of Donghyuck with home, because entering the café felt like coming home to warmth after a long, cold day.
You grinned at Donghyuck and waved at him, taking a seat by the window. You placed your bag on the seat and went to buy yourself something, queueing in line behind two other people.
When it was your turn, your gaze flickered downwards, darting over the black, dapper uniform Donghyuck was wearing. The simple apron that bore a golden-brown logo on the right side wouldn’t have looked half as good on anyone else, not that you would admit it.
“Morning, Hyuck. I’d like…” your voice trailed off as you realised you didn’t even know what they sold. You peered into the display case, seeing fudge brownies and cinnamon rolls for sale.
Donghyuck’s mother bustled past, giving Donghyuck a few orders when she caught sight of you, stopping short in her tracks with a delighted gasp.
“You’re such a handsome man,” she told you. “You look like a prince!”
“Mum,” Donghyuck whined. “He’s my friend, you’re embarrassing me.”
Donghyuck’s mother laughed, and her mannerisms were exactly like Donghyuck’s. Her face crinkled up and her eyes disappeared into a line, and even the sound of her laughter was exactly like her son’s. Mama’s boy, you thought to yourself.
“Silly boy, of course you’re handsome too. After all, you are my son.” At that, even you broke into laughter. That must have been where Donghyuck got his confidence from. Donghyuck rolled his eyes and asked you to get on with your order.
“I’d like a cinnamon roll, please,” you decided, and paid for it.
“You just like cinnamon rolls because you're basic,” Donghyuck teased, eyes twinkling with mischief.
“And what about it?”
Donghyuck raised both his eyebrows at your defensive tone, but he didn’t take the bait, instead handing you your change and order. “Have a nice day, prince.”
You shot him a confused look, then realised he was teasing you for what his mother had said about you. “You too, pretty boy.”
It was good that you had turned around so you couldn’t see how furiously Donghyuck blushed when you said that.
You wouldn't have realised that it was past noon if Donghyuck hadn’t tapped your shoulder, wrenching you out of your focused state and drawing you back into reality.
In his hands, he was clutching a muffin, which he placed in front of you along with a mug full of steaming Nesquik. “Eat first, don't be so concerned about your work,” he chided, and you rolled your eyes but thanked him anyway.
When you gratefully bit into the muffin, you felt melted cheese oozing out of it, and you pulled it away from your mouth, staring at it in amazement. You took your time, savouring every bite of the muffin. It was still warm from the oven and tasted heavenly.
You spotted a few pieces of ham inside the muffin, and realised that it was a ham-and-cheese muffin! You hadn’t seen that in the display case earlier, so perhaps Donghyuck had baked it himself.
You made a mental note to ask him about it later, returning to your work with a full stomach and heart.
As you got up to leave, collecting your mug and the plate to return to Donghyuck for them to wash, you realised that there was a little sticky note on the other side of the mug.
It read, "for my prince. study hard <3", and you couldn’t help the blush creeping across your cheeks. You felt your face heat up as the corners of your lips lifted up into a smile. He’s so stupidly pretty.
Donghyuck came home smelling like pancake batter and cinnamon rolls, which was enough to confirm that you were down horrendous for him.
When he slipped into bed, his voice was slightly husky from talking the whole day as he took down orders. “Good night, Y/n.”
Instead of answering, you rolled over to face him, asking, “Do you think I'm handsome?”
Donghyuck hesitated for only a second, but it was enough to make you nervous. Why didn’t he want to respond? Was it because he didn’t like you, or something else? Your mind conjured up endless unreasonable questions, almost going crazy with the silence that was thick with tension.
“I think you're attractive, definitely. Why, are you feeling insecure?” He asked. “I hope you know that when I saw you at the airport, my first thought was ‘Shit, my position as the visual in the group is being compromised.’ I don't think you have anything to worry about.”
You were still dissatisfied, so Donghyuck approached you as if to inspect your face, and pointed at his eyes. “I'm wearing my night lenses now, so I have 20/20 vision, and as a self-proclaimed expert, I declare you a ten out of ten. Happy?”
You laughed softly. “Yes, Hyuck. Thank you.”
Donghyuck permitted himself a small smile, reaching out to ruffle your hair. “Silly prince. Now can you go to sleep?”
You nodded. “Night, pretty boy.”
The answer came almost immediately. “Goodnight, my prince.”

IT ALL WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE.
Ever since the realisation that maybe, just maybe, you liked Donghyuck (just a little bit), everything had gone downhill. You couldn’t do a single thing without Donghyuck at the back of your mind. If you so much as walked beside him, your mind went crazy with thoughts of him brushing his arm against yours intentionally, how close you could walk next to him without being too obvious about it, how beautiful he was when he laughed or made a joke that no one laughed at.
Your mind just couldn’t shut up. Yes, you understood that you had a silly little crush. Yes, you knew that Donghyuck was gorgeous. Yes, you were one of his best friends and therefore, saw him relatively often. No, that did not mean you needed him to occupy every. Single. One of your thoughts. You were perfectly fine without the presence of Donghyuck in every crevice of your mind, thank you very much.
However, your subconscious disagreed, and continued to torture you with thoughts of Donghyuck kissing you or brushing your hair out of your face. It was too much for you to take, especially when Donghyuck seemed oblivious to the effect he had on you.
At present, his face was slightly flushed, and sweat was beading on his forehead. He was clearly tipsy, swaying on his feet as he leaned on Renjun’s shoulder. He took Renjun’s chin and turned it towards himself, as if to kiss him.
Renjun tore himself away from Donghyuck so quickly that Donghyuck should have gotten whiplash, disgust evident on his face. “Argh, don’t kiss me!”
You felt the green monster slowly loosen its grip on your throat, slinking back in shame as you breathed in heavily. What was wrong with you? There was no reason for you to be jealous. Donghyuck was just like that, he flirted with anything that had a pulse and couldn’t confront his feelings. You knew it, and yet you didn’t want to accept it.
Stinging from his rejection and very much drunk after all the alcohol he had drunk, Donghyuck was even whinier than usual, if that was possible.
He leaned on Mark’s shoulder, and soon it became a game of “Pass the Donghyuck”, and he was shifted from one shoulder to another until he had made one round from Mark’s shoulder all the way to yours.
The weight of his head on your shoulder was refreshing. It felt like you could finally think, and the fog of your crush had lifted just enough for you to realise that the Lee Donghyuck was drunk and clinging onto your shoulder.
His glasses were slipping down his nose, and you wondered why he had even worn it in the first place. You reached up to take it off, but he shook his head vigorously. “Can’t… see without ‘em. Everything’s so… blurry.” He heaved and you stepped back quickly, afraid that he would puke all over you, but he only stumbled into your arms.
You caught him, breathing out a sigh of relief. The club was terrifyingly loud and you wanted to go home.
Empty bottles littered the counter, shot glasses teetering dangerously close to the edge. You pushed the glasses in and one toppled, and you clumsily reached out to catch it before it fell, but missed. Luckily, Mark was still sober and his reflexes were fast enough for him to catch it when it rolled off the table, falling straight into his hand like that had been its trajectory all along.
Your limbs felt as heavy as lead, a feeling not unfamiliar to you. It always felt like that after a long, tiring day of dance lessons. But the feeling was somehow… different. It felt like you had lost control of yourself and it scared you. You didn’t want to lose consciousness.
“Mark,” you called, too soft for him to hear. You were tired and it took almost all of your energy to call him again, louder that time. “Mark!”
Mark turned and his smile dropped when he saw Donghyuck and you, so drunk you might’ve passed out if it weren’t for the adrenaline rushing through your veins. You felt like you were in a limbo, halfway between wide awake and unconscious, too drunk to comprehend anything but also too excited to go to sleep.
“I want to leave this place. And I think- I think Hyuck should go home too.”
Mark looked around anxiously for the others. Jaemin was sitting in a corner of the room, clearly feeling out of place. The club was too loud for both of you. At least Chenle, Jisung, Renjun and Jeno looked like they were having fun dancing, but you remembered Renjun had looked more at home when Donghyuck was leading the conversation.
Everyone wanted to go home. You were a lightweight, and Donghyuck had simply let loose and gone crazy on the vodka, but it was enough. You needed to leave, and you recognised that. It was past 3am on a Sunday night, and you all had to go home before your classes the next morning.
Mark went to collect the rest of the dreamies, and when Chenle tried to make a fuss, Mark whispered something in his ear that pleased him greatly. Without further protest, soon all the dreamies were gathered where you were and you could leave.
You all had trouble getting out of the bar, let alone getting into the car. You, Jisung and Donghyuck were stumbling like drunkards, relying on the support of your friends to get you to walk. Jaemin held on to you tightly, gripping your elbow so hard you thought it might leave marks.
His lips were pressed into a thin line, annoyed that you had drunk so much even though your alcohol tolerance was low. It was like you were children again, and you were playing video games late into the night even though you had school the day after.
Yet, even after all those years of you making stupid decisions, he was still there for you when you came crashing down. Maybe you really were his favourite cousin, after all.
The designated drivers, Jaemin and Mark, brought three passengers into each car. You and Donghyuck were meant to be split up so there were more eyes to look after each of you, but Donghyuck grabbed hold of your wrist and refused to let go.
Jaemin let out a sigh. “Jeno, you go with them.” He was the third least intoxicated and among the strongest in your group, so he had a higher chance of being able to handle the two of you.
Jeno guided you into the seat, where you collapsed, finally making yourself comfortable. You removed your coat and draped it on the head rest, while Donghyuck snuggled into your lap.
“Hey. Are you okay?”
Donghyuck nodded. “Has anyone told you you’re really pretty?”
You laughed. “Yeah, your mum.” Donghyuck cringed, and you quickly clarified. “Donghyuck, your mother literally told me I look like a prince. I’m sorry, but you can’t top that, though I’ll give you extra points because you look cute when you’re drunk.”
Donghyuck let out a little giggle and snuggled into you. You’d forgotten how clingy he got when he was drunk. “Life is so tiring,” he told you matter-of-factly.
“I agree.” Your eyes shut and you leaned your head back, the muscles in your back relaxing.
“Shh,” Donghyuck stopped you, pressing one finger to your cheek. You assumed that he had meant to silence you and placed it against your lips, but he was so drunk that his hand-eye coordination wasn’t the best. “Don’t interrupt.”
You snorted, amused.
“As I was saying, life is really tiring. It’s tiring being this handsome, it’s tiring having a crush on my roommate and not being able to confess it because I’m a coward, it’s tiring having to work instead of staying home, and it’s tiring pretending that I’m perfect.”
“What was the middle one?”
“It’s tiring having to work?”
You raised your eyebrows sceptically. That wasn’t what you had meant, and he knew it. Sure, you were drunk and could have imagined it, but you were pretty sure Donghyuck had just confessed that he liked one of you. And since he only had three roommates, you had a 33.3% chance of being the one he liked.
The odds were good, but not entirely in your favour.
Donghyuck’s forehead was sweaty and his hair was sticking to his face, so you gently brushed it out of his face, and he gripped your wrist so tightly you questioned if he was indeed drunk. If he were sober surely he wouldn’t have had that strength, but he definitely had the guts when he was tipsy.
He pressed a kiss to the back of your hand, and your heart shattered inside.
Honestly, you would have been happy if he was sober. Perhaps then everything would be truthful and genuine and not the manifestation of sober thoughts, but a conscious choice. Because drunk decisions did not mean that Donghyuck would have done the same if he had been sober. You knew that he probably would not have, and that hurt deeper than you would care to admit.
Donghyuck was so oblivious to the effect he had on you. He could be making you go crazy inwardly and not care, but the moment he was drunk, he had the audacity to flirt with you. He had no care for your feelings at all, and you hated it.
If only he would really, truly love you, consciously and deliberately so you would never have to reassure your insecure thoughts. And that was something that you hated Donghyuck for, that he never wanted to commit and instead flirted with everyone like that would make him feel any better.
It wouldn’t, and you knew that all too well.
“Spin the bottle! Spin the bottle!”
You, as well as the others, were eagerly chanting as Donghyuck looked sceptically at the bottle. The table surface was rough, and the sound of the bottle spinning grated on his nerves, but he wanted to be a good sport.
He spun the bottle, biting his lip as he rolled his eyes back, and they landed on you. You could have sworn he winked, but you had no time to process it, not when your friends were cheering so loudly.
Shit. It had landed on you.
Donghyuck didn’t hesitate, leaning in towards you and tipping your chin up. He saw the reluctance in your eyes and stopped, resting on his heels.
“Are you okay with this? If you don't want to, we can stop it now,” he said, loud enough for your ears alone.
You gulped. “I'm… I think I'm fine.”
He grinned. “Then kiss me back, okay?”
And his lips were on yours. He tasted like cherry vodka and sprite and cinnamon all at once, and you didn’t know you had it in you to kiss him back.
When he pulled away, you missed it almost immediately.
“This isn’t any fun. Let’s play truth or dare instead,” he said abruptly, averting his eyes. Unlike when he had kissed Renjun, he didn't wipe his lips, and it took all of your self-control not to read into that.
You made yourself comfortable and reached for another glass but Jisung tapped your hand twice. “I think you’ve had quite enough.”
The thing was, you couldn't help it. If you didn’t have enough alcohol in your system, you would have the sobriety to overthink every single little thing Donghyuck did, and you needed a drink (or several) to remain sane.
Jisung gave you a long, hard look and an accompanying sigh when you brushed him off, but he remained silent when you poured yourself another glass and downed it, the clear liquid burning its way down your throat and lighting you up from within.
“Truth,” you heard Donghyuck say.
“Do you love him? Not just infatuation-wise. Do you see yourself in a relationship with him?” Mark.
“Dare.”
“Answer the question.”
“I-” The hesitation was enough for you to be interested in the conversation again. If Donghyuck had given his usual lighthearted response, you would have thought nothing of it. But for him to stop and actually seriously think about it… whoever he liked must have really made an impact on him.
You reached for the bottle again. This time, it was Jeno who stopped you. “It’s quite enough. Your cheeks are red, and you can barely keep your eyes open. I don't want you to get liver failure from one night out, or we’ll never be allowed to bring you out again.”
You pouted your lips at him, and Donghyuck spoke again. “Yes, I think I do.”
It was a pity that you had forgotten the question by then. It was also a pity that your eyes were barely open, for if they were open you would have seen Donghyuck’s fond look and how his eyes crinkled up when he looked at you.
When Mark turned around to get you out of the car, he found both you and Donghyuck asleep.
Tumblr media
YOU JUST COULDN'T ESCAPE HIM. It wasn’t until you were consciously avoiding Donghyuck that you realised how often you saw him. Your dance classes never collided, but many of your lectures did. Sometimes, you would see him entering the lecture theatre and would studiously look away so he wouldn’t notice you were there. Not that it worked much, but on some days, he was a little more aware and would walk past you to sit with his other friends.
You were in the library that afternoon, headphones in, Mark and Renjun sitting opposite you. Everyone was quietly doing their own work, and whenever you looked up from your work, it was only to ask Mark a question.
Renjun was actually done with his own work, because unlike Mark, who always volunteered to take on extra tasks, he had a perfectly reasonable workload. And unlike Donghyuck, who signed up for social events even when his pre-reading was piling up, he was disciplined and knew how to prioritise. And unlike you, he actually understood everything that the professor was saying.
So, really he was only there to keep you two accountable and to make sure you didn’t get off track. He was reading a book, and you guessed that the unfamiliar characters on the cover were in Mandarin.
It was peaceful, at least until Donghyuck came.
“I brought you a ham-and-cheese muffin,” he said, setting the paper bag down as he slid into the seat beside you. “I got you boba too, but the librarian didn’t like that, so I left it in my bag outside. I had to convince her that I wouldn’t eat the muffin inside, but I’ll let you know that it’s still warm, so you can make your own decision.”
He winked at you, and your heart fluttered. Be still, my heart.
You bit into the muffin, and the flavours exploded in your mouth as you realised how long it had been since your last meal. You hadn’t had proper lunch that day, just brunch at 10, so 6 hours had passed since you last ate. You had forgotten this whilst studying, but your stomach gladly welcomed the presence of more food.
“You haven’t eaten since brunch, have you?” Donghyuck asked, as he saw you stuffing the rest of the muffin into your mouth. You shook your head guiltily, trying to catch the crumbs falling from your mouth.
“Chew slowly, don't choke. I’ve still got boba for you later, remember.”
And your heart warmed despite your vow not to let Donghyuck charm his way into your heart anymore. “Thanks,” you mumbled, voice muffled by the food in your mouth. You swallowed it quickly, but by then he had already turned away from you.
“Wait, don't you have a class in five minutes?”
It took you a couple of seconds to process that Mark was talking to you. You looked down at your watch and found that he was indeed correct. “Shit, yeah. Hyuck, isn’t that the class we both take?”
Donghyuck’s neck jerked up so quickly you feared he might break it. “You're right! We’ve gotta run for it. See you later, Mark, Renjun.”
He was out of his chair before you could say anything else, pulling you away as you ran outside. Donghyuck slung his bag over his shoulder, and you ran out into the cold with Donghyuck by your side. It was freezing cold and your lips turned numb almost immediately. The snow was heavier than you had realised, and you sorely missed the comfort of the heated library.
You were huddled closely to Donghyuck, pressed up against him as your legs moved in tandem, generating heat that you were grateful for.
“Wait,” you said, grabbing Donghyuck’s hand to stop him just before you entered the building. “Look!”
Like a child, you stuck out your tongue and waited for a snowflake to fall onto your tongue, shivering slightly when it did and melted almost immediately. You looked at Donghyuck, embarrassment warring with the need for attention, and were met with Donghyuck’s chuckle.
“Cute.”
It was one word, but it felt full of fraught emotions and possibilities.
You sighed in relief, collapsing in a tired heap on the chair, your cheeks and the tips of your ears still red from the cold atmosphere outside. Donghyuck noticed, of course. He reached out and cupped your ear in his hands, his palms radiating heat that made your ears feel less like frozen popsicles and more like a part of your body again.
“If I kissed you, your cheeks would definitely warm up too,” he said suddenly. You would have protested, but you weren’t fast enough to prevent him from placing a kiss on your cheek, which immediately warmed up in embarrassment.
“See! It worked.” You didn’t admit it aloud, but you agreed.
Donghyuck’s kiss was a reminder of what you had been thinking when you first arrived in Seoul. You had thought then that Seoul was nowhere as romantic as London, because you couldn't share an umbrella with your love interest in the rain and get soaked together.
But when you looked down at your coat, slightly wet with melted snow, and pressed a hand to your cheek where Donghyuck had kissed it, you realised that maybe Seoul was more romantic than you had given it credit for being. You had been too quick to judge and were lucky that you hadn’t said it aloud, or you would be eating your words.
You were starting to get bored and your fingers hurt from typing. At least you understood most of what was happening, but you were still starting to tire of the professor’s voice. The next time you would be doing anything interesting was in a month, and you didn’t understand how you were expected to pay attention until then.
You were really only paying attention so that you didn’t fail when you had to write your thesis next week, but even you needed a break.
Donghyuck must have read your mind because he pushed a reusable covered cup over to your table, pointing at the attached note. Through the clear container you could see the boba at the bottom, brown sugar coating the sides. You poked the straw through the hole in the cap and gratefully drank it, happy for the explosive taste of sugar in your mouth that distracted you from the boredom of the class.
A note fluttered onto your table and you picked it up in curiosity. “are you a prince (왕자; wangja)? because i want ya.”
That was when your heart stopped. Donghyuck didn’t speak English well, and you knew that. You had spent enough time with him to see how he struggled to understand you when you spoke with an English accent instead of a Korean one. Yet, he had written you a pickup line in Konglish.
What does that mean? He had to have asked Mark about it. He must have premeditated it because there was no way he had spontaneously come up with that while waiting in line for your drink.
What does that mean? The mixed signals he was sending you were about to drive you crazy. You were overthinking every detail of it, and you hated it. Why had he put in the effort to write something you were familiar with? A line you would understand and be able to laugh at? Was he hinting at something more, or did he just do that to everyone?
What does that mean? The question was running laps in your mind, as it had been since Donghyuck had kissed you at the bar. You had both been flat-out drunk, so you wouldn’t have been surprised, but he didn’t seem to want to talk about it.
Maybe that was the problem; the lack of communication. It was hindering the relationship from progressing and causing your heart extreme emotional pain. Perhaps it was time for you to do something about it.
Tumblr media
DONGHYUCK WAS THE WORST TEASE YOU KNEW. He exited the bathroom wearing nothing but a towel around his waist, hair still dripping wet as he ran a hand absently through it, wiping his hand on the towel.
Your heart was beating so fast that you were sure you would need someone to call an ambulance if you didn’t stop hyperventilating.
Fortunately (or unfortunately) for you, Donghyuck seemed to notice.
He walked up to you in one fluid motion, wrapping one arm around your waist as his other hand tipped your chin up. His cockiness was getting to you, and you simply couldn’t stand him anymore. You threaded your fingers through his hair, bringing his face closer to you as you kissed him.
The hand around your waist slackened in shock, and his eyes were still wide with surprise at your boldness. But you didn’t care, and when you didn’t pull away, he gladly closed his eyes and deepened the kiss.
Your clothes were wet, and so was the floor, but you couldn’t care less because you were kissing the Lee Donghyuck, prettiest boy in the universe. The one who spent a week trying to get your beverage order right and clung tightly to you when he was drunk, the one who took every opportunity to flirt with you but softened when you were scared or tired.
He called you a prince just to rile you up and pecked your cheek when you were within range, and you loved him more than just a little bit.
“You like me?” Donghyuck asked in disbelief when you pulled away.
You traced your hand over his jaw and pressed your forehead to his. “I hate pineapple on pizza, but I’d eat Hawaiian pizza if you asked me to because you’re Donghyuck, and I’d do anything for you. I would eat your olives if you gave them to me, always. I don’t know how you haven’t noticed yet, but yes, I like you, Lee Donghyuck.”
He was rendered speechless, which were two words you would never have thought would be used to describe Donghyuck. The chatty boy had fallen silent, and you found that you missed the sound of his voice.
“I like you too, L/n Y/n. I would run with you in the snow if it meant five more minutes with you. Even if my fingertips were freezing off, I would watch you catch snowflakes on your tongue and wish you loved me back. I would kiss you while drunk a million times if it meant there was the smallest of chances that you would love me back.”
The sound of the door opening didn’t stop you, but it did stop Renjun. He hovered in the corridor as he looked between you and a towel-clad Donghyuck, debating whether to tell him to stop dripping all over the floor or leave you two alone. After a few seconds, he decided to take refuge in Jaemin’s room, leaving you two to your own devices.
Donghyuck would have stayed and held you in his arms forever if you hadn’t tapped his shoulder and asked him to get changed.
“Why feign decency at this point?” He had quipped, and you had grabbed hold of his shoulders, turning him around to face the bathroom and shoving him towards it. He had stumbled, catching himself just in time to flip you off, and you settled on the floor, laughing as he disappeared into the bathroom.
When he reappeared, he was so eager to see you again that he slammed into you, causing you to topple onto the bed, Donghyuck’s hands on either side of your head being the only thing preventing him from falling onto you,
You booped him on the nose and burst out into laughter at his confused face. Your laughter rang true and clear in the room, and if Donghyuck had a photographic memory, he would have replayed it in his head a million times. His eyes were filled with delight and love as he watched you slowly lowering himself next to you while you rolled over to face him.
His hand traced lazy circles down your arms, from your biceps down to your elbows, where he began drawing hearts around the scattered scars that covered your elbows.
“Tell me all about your scars.”
You had gotten that one from falling down as a kid, eager legs slipping out from under you when you forgot that you had rollerblades on, landing on your elbows and knees. Sure, you had worn elbow guards, but they had been too loose for you back then, the hand-me-downs slipping downwards as your elbows scraped against the pavement.
You remembered staring at your arms in wonder, the scraped skin stinging but not hurting enough for you to cry. You had winced at the dirt and blood covering the wound, dusting yourself off as you stood up. You had cried when your mother cleaned the wound with saline, wincing sharply and then jerking your arms away while she held tight, cleansing the wound, until you realised she was only trying to help you.
Perhaps that was what love was like. Sometimes, you didn’t realise it was for your benefit until someone else guided you to it, and you ignored what was staring right at you until it waved its hand.
Donghyuck listened. He didn’t speak, and the silence was oddly inviting. The words spilled out of your mouth like a torrent, not a second of hesitation keeping you from being vulnerable with him.
It was the same for Donghyuck.
You heard of the times he felt overshadowed and overlooked, when his older brother knew how to do everything and his younger sister followed in his footsteps. He constantly compared himself to them and others around him, never feeling like he was enough.
You heard of the times with Mark, his first friend, who used to hate him. Donghyuck had reached out multiple times to Mark, and each time he was met with coldness and annoyance. He had only ever heard Mark give monosyllabic responses and had been surprised when he had first heard Mark say a full sentence.
Yet, Donghyuck could grow on anyone. And soon, they graduated high school together, headed to the same university where they would pursue their interests while their friendship only grew stronger.
You heard about Donghyuck’s experience at parties, waking up in somebody else’s bed, hammered with a pounding headache and utterly lost. He told you how he had sorely regretted all the drinks, hurriedly getting out of bed to get as far away from the memories as possible.
Once, he was almost taken advantage of. He had woken up in a bed with a girl by his side, ill-clad with her gangly limbs all over his body. He should have at least known her name, but he didn’t even recognise her face. When he tried to peel her off of him and get dressed, she forced herself on him, and it had taken all of his drunken strength to get away.
He didn’t need to be drunk to tell you stories, because he could consciously decide to be open with you, even while sober. You didn’t either, but you were glad that you no longer needed alcohol to stop you from falling head over heels for Lee Donghyuck.
After all, he was there to stay.
Tumblr media
RENJUN'S HUSHED WHISPERS SOUNDED URGENT even to you, causing you to open your eyes even when you wanted to seal them shut and fall back asleep.
“Good morning,” you cooed, placing kisses on each of Donghyuck’s moles. He blinked his eyes open sleepily and stared at you through half-closed eyelids before shutting them again and snuggling in closer to you.
“It’s too fucking early to be awake, go back to sleep.” Donghyuck said as he slid his cold fingers under your shirt, wrapping them around your torso as he hummed to himself. “You’re so warm…”
You shivered at his touch, jerking back in shock. Donghyuck whined softly and continued nuzzling his head against you, and you relented, moving in closer towards him while he smiled against your neck.
You caught snippets of Renjun’s conversation with Mark, hearing words like “half-naked”, “still dripping”, and “couldn’t even come in to sleep”. It didn’t take a genius to guess that they were talking about you, and the unabashed excitement on Mark’s face confirmed it for you.
You pried Donghyuck’s fingers from your skin, pushing his head away while he murmured in protest, flinging the covers off of you.
“Argh!”
“Sorry, Hyuckie.” You quickly grabbed the blanket and tucked Donghyuck back in, and he frowned at the absence of your heat, turning away from you sulkily and curling up into a ball. You pressed a kiss to his forehead, brushing his hair out of his face, gravitating towards Renjun’s conversation as it got clearer and easier to understand.
“Are you talking about me?” You asked, and Renjun almost leapt from his chair in shock. His mouth was comically open, and his eyes were wide in surprise.
“When did you wake up?”
“Just,” you assured him, taking your seat and resting your head in your hands. “So, what about me?”
“We made a bet,” Mark said, a little too quick to throw Renjun under the bus. “We wanted to guess who would make the first move. I said Donghyuck would because of his personality, but Renjun said he was too much of a coward to really do anything about it.”
“Technically, you’re both right. Hyuck did make the first move, but I kissed him first, so I think I deserve some of that credit too.”
Renjun’s head bobbed up and down so quickly you were afraid his neck might break off. “Y/n’s right. Since he kissed Donghyuck first, you owe me. 10,000 won, remember?”
Mark’s mouth opened and closed as he stared at you, flabbergasted, before he finally gave up on trying to form words and reached into his pocket instead.
As Renjun counted the money, Mark fixed you with a hard stare. “If I’m broke, you’re paying for the next meal.”
“Deal."
Donghyuck left the house wrapped up in thoughts of your mouth on his. He couldn’t believe that someone like you would like someone like him. It had, quite literally, never occurred to him that you might like him back.
From the first time he had set eyes on you that winter evening, seeing you next to Jaemin and the resemblance in both of your eyes and hearing your English-accented voice for the first time, he had loved you more than he should have.
He grew to like all of you, the parts of you that drank Nesquik (like a little kid) when you were tired, that craved boba but held back from buying it because it was “unhealthy”, the parts of you that hated pineapple on pizza and thought he was an idiot. He loved when you were scared of the most trivial things, only to do risky shit when you thought no one was looking.
Most importantly, he loved the way you smiled with all your heart, your mouth open wide and your lips stretched wider than he thought was physically possible. Joy was written in the crease of your smile and the folds of your skin, and he loved every part of you.
He loved you so much, in fact, that when he reached into his pocket to send you a text to tell you he missed you, he realised that he had forgotten his phone amidst the residual shock he had woken up in that morning.
When he heard his name, he whirled around at the familiar voice and saw his saviour running toward him with a Tupperware in one hand and his phone in the other, hair sticking up in all different directions, still wearing pyjama pants.
“Y/n,” he breathed out. “You’re fucking amazing, you know that?”
You ran your hand through your hair in response, shoving his phone into his hand.
“I… saw that Mark had cut some fruits for Chenle, and I know that you’re bad at taking care of yourself so… I brought it for you. Don’t worry, I’ll cut more for Chenle later, he’ll just have to deal with not having them in his favourite container.” The words came out all in a rush, between pants and wheezes. Running clearly wasn’t your speciality.
“I wasn’t worried,” Donghyuck said. “And thank you.”
“Someone’s got to love you right, even if that means reminding you that your body requires nutrients to survive,” you muttered, and he raised his eyebrows.
“Is that so?” You nodded sagely, and he laughed, and somewhere in your mind, you managed to conjure up the word pretty.
Tumblr media
DONGHYUCK WAS SO COCKY. You had always known it, but seeing him leaning languidly against the opening to the small photo booth, curly hair falling into his eyes, peering through his lashes as he watched your every movement, you were reminded of it.
Each of the eight of you were clutching your graduation hats, Jaemin, Jeno, Renjun and Jisung hovering outside the photo booth while they waited for you to browse through the frames.
Everyone was dressed in their graduation gowns, having rushed to take a picture at the nearby mall the second you had all received your diplomas. Chenle had insisted that four-cut photos were a tradition, and you didn’t want to miss out on the chance to take more photos.
After taking the goofiest photos ever (Jaemin had had lots of fun posing, and you had a bruise on your hip from falling into the “door” frame), the gang decided to let you and Chenle pick a frame and print it out.
“Quickly,” Jaemin’s voice called. “Y/n, what exactly are you doing? It doesn’t take that long to click an option!”
Mark left you and Chenle to choose, going outside the photo booth to pacify Jaemin.
Finally, you and Chenle managed to agree on an option that both of you liked, and the machine began whirring as it spat out the eight copies. You snatched them from Chenle, whistling as you exited the photo booth, waving the photos triumphantly at the rest.
“Done!”
All of a sudden, Donghyuck started cooing, “Aww, you want to kiss me so bad.” Before you knew what he was talking about, he tiptoed to reach your lips and gave you a quick peck.
“What?” The realisation dawned on you a moment later, remembering how you had puckered your lips while whistling. Donghyuck, ever the opportunist, had obviously taken the chance to kiss you again. “Hyuck, you kissed me. I don’t think I’m the desperate one here.”
Donghyuck would have responded if Renjun and Chenle’s hands hadn’t appeared out of nowhere, shoving you into the photo booth. The last thing you saw before they drew the curtains shut was Jaemin with his arms crossed over his chest, smirking at you.
“Guess we’re stuck together, then.” Donghyuck didn’t seem thrown off in the least, quietly clicking through the options before he settled on one. The timer beeped, and you followed Donghyuck’s lead to make a heart.
You posed a total of three times before Donghyuck ran out of ideas, and he stared at you as the countdown grew louder. Three, two, one…
“Kiss me back, Hyuckie,” you murmured as you tilted Donghyuck’s chin up to meet yours. The light flashed, and you reluctantly pulled away to check the results. The pictures turned out adorable, and you slipped it into your wallet and grinned at Donghyuck.
“You stole my line!”
You scoffed and rolled your eyes. “Well, you were wrong about the perilla debate, so I think it evens out.”
“What do you mean? We’re together now, aren’t we? Therefore, it must have been because I separated the perilla leaves for you that one time, which makes my stand the correct one.”
“It doesn’t matter anyway because neither of us were in a relationship at the time,” you reminded him. Renjun and Jeno heard only the tail-end of your conversation as you exited the confined space, and they sighed tiredly.
Seeing their reactions, you couldn’t help but laugh. You loved Lee Donghyuck so fucking much.

Park Jisung x Male Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
cw: dom top jisung, pwp, jisung and reader are fuckbuddies, possessive behavior, mating press, angry sex, overstimulation, degradation, dumbification, breeding, ripping clothes, tummy bulge, feminization but it's only once, hole slapping, marking but with a marker lol.
an: i read the “he whores out online..” phrase somewhere and this idea came out teehee.
also this is short.
jisung was angry. he has been horny all day and his fuckbuddy don't answer his calls neither texts, jisung was suspecting that he was ignoring him because he has been posting suggestive photos with other men at a party “he whores out online but ignore my texts hm?” an evil smirk appearing on his face “you're going to have a bad time ynnie” he licked his lips...
“why do you call me?” yn was now standing at jisung's house front door. jisung gently grabbed him by the chin and started to speak in a low tone, “i have been looking for you all day to get rid of my hornyness but you decided to ignore me, instead, you wanted to be passed around by everyone at that party. i imagine how loose that slut's hole must be but guess what, you're my slut, i thought you already understood it?” with each sentence he applied more pressure to the other's jaw, "for fuck's sake jisung, let go of me, it hurts”. “oh that's not the only thing that's going to hurt tonight” he mocked pushing yn to enter the house.
yn was now below jisung, he had his clothes on but his pants were torn, jisung tore them right on his hole revealing that he wasn't wearing underwear "what a slut". then jisung introduced his cock, beginning to thrust mercilessly into the other.
yn was begging and moaning for jisung to be gentler "shh..low down~ pleasee~ i won't do it.. hng…a-again" drool coming out of his mouth forming a small pool of it on the floor. "whores have no right to ask me to go slow and gentle with them. whores should take it as rough as possible… because that is the only way i have to make you stop asking. for. cock. elsewhere.” those last 4 words were accompanied by hard thrusts. yn's hole was already destroyed and gaped. everytime jisung pulls out the ring of muscles clings to his shaft as if he didn't want to let him go “your whore's pussy it's gripping on me” he joked “love when your body is the one telling me that i'm the best cock you've ever had”, jisung takes it out and slapped right into the gaping hole sending a somewhat pleasant pain throughout yn's body.
jisung folded yn and fucked him in a mating press style, in this position it was easier for jisung to give harder thrusts and go much deeper forming a tummy bulge, he loved the sound of the moans and the nonsense that came out of the other's mouth. maybe jisung should fuck him dumb more often to see if he stops being a whore once and for all.
the hours passed and jisung didn't stopped, one of the things that yn always worried about when jisung was upset is that he has a lot of stamina so he could fuck for hours without getting tired. the other's ass cheeks had a red color while a pinkish red hue is around the loose ring of muscles, which was dripping with a mix of sperm and lube.
"how delicious your hole feels inside ynnie, all hot with my churned sperm in there… my pretty cumdump” he whispers on yn's ear and then kissed him, “i hope this taught you a lesson, bitch” as a final touch, jisung grabbed a marker and wrote on the other's ass in capital letters "JISUNG'S CUMDUMP" he laughed as he finished emptying the remaining loads of sperm that remained in his balls..
is the marker erasable or permanent? yn won't know that until the fucking session is over and he goes to take a bath.

content : 1.8k words, angst ( breakup !! ), idol!jisung x non celeb!reader
( a/n ) i <3 nct reqs :( i was gonna make sung more of an asshole in this but i physically could not so i changed it a little and he's actually very sweet but u might cry :/ also keep in mind that the song translations may not be exact !!
Tumblr media
'your call has been forwarded to an automatic voice m-"
jisung sighed heavily and lowered his phone from his ear before he could listen to the rest. he practically knew the automated voice tone by heart because of how much y/n had avoided his calls today.
you are toxic, sink into me
i'm dizzy because of you
and i fall for you again
i can't do anything else
nothing had been the same since jisung was sucked into a dating scandal about a month ago. all because he was friends with a girl in another group, everything felt like it was crashing down.
jisung had been in a relationship with y/n for a good seven months - secretly of course, with the exception of some nct members knowing. while jisung was occupied with nct, y/n managed a small but very successful and popular shop in seoul. it was his last wish to be affected by the scandals and hardships of idol life, but when he met jisung through a mutual friend, it all changed.
the first few months of their relationship felt surreal. jisung always wondered if he was the main character of a movie. y/n always kept him on his toes and surprised him with feelings he'd never experienced. any free time on his schedules always went to his boyfriend, in person or facetiming if neither could get away.
this all seemed like a forming memory to jisung now, though. y/n had been increasingly distant. he wasn't calling as much and had less time to spend with jisung - and their time together in person was already limited as it was.
when jisung found a sudden spotlight on himself and another idol friend, he tried his best to stay unaffected and unbothered. being paired in a dating scandal was the last thing he wanted for himself and especially for his boyfriend. prior to the rumors surfacing, y/n already knew jisung and this girl group idol were friends, and had even met her a couple times. he had no problem with her and jisung's friendship. but after the rumors surfaced, it was like everything went to shit. even after both sides denied the rumors, it seemed like everyone still faced the repercussions. jisung was still asked and annoyed about it frequently, which was taxing for him mentally. but despite this, most of his worries still remained on his boyfriend.
y/n grew tired of the situation pretty quickly. he never liked that their relationship had to be kept a secret from the start. he couldn't introduce his friends or even just tell his coworkers about his sweet, lovely boyfriend who made him an indoor picnic because it was simply too hot for one outside. they couldn't go to a coffee shop to just enjoy each other's company unless they kept their hands and lips to themselves.
all these small things that bothered y/n seemed to bubble up to the surface after the scandal unraveled. everything that he tried to ignore and excuse because of his love for jisung was finally just suffocating him. the sad thing was that he didn't even care about jisung and the girl. he cared that he couldn't be who he wanted to be with his own boyfriend. he was beginning to feel like he just didn't exist.
how should i look at you now?
tell me, don't hide feelings, baby
can you give me your heart?
you say that everything is gonna be alright
jisung looked down at his phone, contemplating what to do. after ending the unsuccessful call, his phone went back to the home screen. the photo of himself and y/n always put a smile on his face, but now it just made his heart break.
"you okay?"
jisung jumped at the sudden voice behind him. he turned while setting his phone aside, seeing mark with a worried gaze.
"i dunno. y/n's still not answering me.."
mark frowned.
"hasn't it been all day today?"
jisung nodded. he could feel his throat burn with the urge to cry.
"i'm sorry, sung. it's late though, maybe he's asleep?" mark suggested while setting his hand on the younger's shoulder.
"mm," jisung shook his head, "we always at least say goodnight, though."
mark hated seeing him like this. he took a deep breath and squeezed jisung's shoulder comfortingly.
"why don't you take the day off tomorrow? go to y/n's and figure things out. take a mental health day. you need it."
jisung looked at his friend with glossy eyes. he blinked rapidly for a moment, trying to dismiss the tears. he then cleared his throat and forced a smile before nodding.
"yeah, i think i will."
so, say it to me again
rumor, rumor, rumor
gossip, gossip, gossip
rumor, rumor, rumor
you said you love me
Tumblr media
the next morning felt like a blur to jisung. he slept in until noon and took forever to get up and actually shower or eat. the rest of the boys were already gone for a full day of busy schedules, leaving the dorm empty and almost a little eerie. it was odd to be alone in a space that was usually filled with laughter and warmth.
after finally getting himself together, jisung took a final look at himself in his full length mirror. he looked fine, not the best, but fine. a simple gray jacket and black sweatpants was good enough to go see his boyfriend.
y/n ended up sending him a simple good morning text around ten o'clock after basically not talking at all the day before. jisung was thankful for the message, but still felt pretty down with the lack of communication.
once he finally felt up to it, jisung took mark's advice and decided to head to y/n's place. he was restless to talk and sort things out. and he missed y/n more than he could say.
soon arriving at y/n's house, jisung was anxious to actually knock. what if y/n really didn't wanna talk to or see him? what if he just needed more time? what if he wasn't even home?
jisung found himself knocking on the door before he could scare himself away. he knew he needed this despite his overthinking.
y/n answered the door after a minute. jisung's eyes widened at the sight of his messy boyfriend standing in front of him now. it was easy to see that y/n's hair was disheveled even when hid under his jacket hood. his eyes seemed droopy and dark, and his general demeanor was just not himself.
jisung pushed these things aside for now and looked at his partner directly.
"can we please talk?"
y/n was quiet for a second, but gave him a weak smile and welcomed him in. jisung trailed over toward the sofa, y/n following behind.
"i'm sorry for all the shit that's happened, y/n. really, i am. but you avoiding me more and more for the past couple weeks has been killing me. please, let's fix this," jisung reasoned. y/n looked at him, unsure of what to say next. jisung's eyes were big and sincere, it made y/n's heart swell.
"i'm sorry, too. i just.. needed some space i guess," y/n responded quietly.
"i understand that," jisung assured. "because of the dating rumor stuff? cause i hate them as much as you do, y/n. i really think they shouldn't matter.. we can get through it together. i only want to be with you and-"
"jisung."
jisung stopped. y/n's voice was small, almost broken. jisung felt like he knew what was coming, but he didn't want to believe it. y/n looked down before saying the words that jisung had been dreading.
"i can't do this anymore."
i can't refuse you and you destroy me
i'm tired of everything, i don't wanna hear no more
why do you disturb my mind?
i just hate everything
jisung's heart plummeted to his stomach. he took a deep, shaky breath while trying to keep his composure.
"y/n.."
y/n looked up at him, then back down when a couple tears trickled down his cheeks.
"i'm so tired, jisung.."
jisung's own eyes began welling with tears. his throat closed up again as he tried to ignore them.
"but," jisung began, "i love you." he paused to gently cup the sides of y/n's face in his hands. "can't we work on this? we can figure it out, i'm sure."
y/n frowned. he'd always loved the feeling of jisung's large hands against his face, but now it was possibly the most melancholic thing he'd ever known. he took the male's hands away from his cheeks and held them instead.
"you always tell me we'll figure things out, but i don't think i can. i just.. i can't be your secret unimportant boyfriend anymore. it hurts. i'm so tired of hurting.."
jisung was silent for a moment.
"..unimportant? did i really make you feel that way?"
"not you exactly. just.. the situation. i don't blame you for this at all, it's just the way things are with your job. it's not for me.."
jisung nodded at this answer. it wasn't the answer he wanted, but it could've been worse.
the pair stood in silence for a minute, as if soaking up the last moments of their relationship. y/n could feel himself on the verge of a breakdown, and he assumed jisung was feeling something similar.
hurry, tell me something,
i won't be able to listen to you anymore
i'm trapped inside of you,
as if i stopped breathing
"..you should go," y/n mumbled out softly. jisung looked down at his shoes, as if waiting for them to move.
"i don't know if i can.."
y/n's brows furrowed. he finally looked back up at the other.
"what if this is the last time i see you?" jisung asked. "what if this is the last time i get to hold your hands? or be with you in here? i can't-" jisung cleared his throat after feeling himself choke up a bit. his tears finally hit. "if i lose you, y/n-"
"you won't, sung," y/n interrupted his sobs.
they both continued crying for a while, connected hands turning into a very long hug. beneath their romantic relationship was just two friends who loved and trusted each other more than anything, and that wouldn't change.
"you always tell me everything will be okay," y/n spoke up, "so i'm gonna say the same to you now. this will pass, and we'll both be just fine, jisung."
so, say it to me again
rumor, rumor, rumor
gossip, gossip, gossip
rumor, rumor, rumor
you said that everything is gonna be alright
so, say it to me again

Lee Jeno x Secret boyfriend Male Reader
Tumblr media
"Jeno, do you have the papers?" Y/N asked. "Our manager wants them for a performance audition."
"What do you mean, performance audition?"
"Oh, you know, getting a performance for Dream." Y/N said. He was a staff for NCT, the Dream manager's right hand man. Coincidentally, Jeno's best friend. "Kyun Hyung said you guys have it."
"Oh, yeah hold on a sec, I'll be right back." Jeno left and returned with a folder, passing it to Y/N. "Here."
"Thanks. I'll see you later, Nojam."
"Still pining after him?" Renjun snickered, from his place on the sofa. "Come on, everyone, meaning Dream and the staff knows you like him."
"He likes who?" Yuta asked interestedly.
"His best friend Y/N." Chenle let out a high pitched laugh, making Jeno sigh.
"Can we drop it already?" He asked.
"No."

"What if they find us?" Y/N hissed, as Jeno dragged him down the corridor. "Everyone's going to find out!"
"So what if they do?" Jeno asked nochalantly.
"I thought you wanted to keep it a secret?" Y/N asked. "I mean, I'm all for telling your members but..."
"It's still a secret if it's only them."
"Jeno?" They turned around to see a wide eyed Jisung.
"Oh-" Y/N's mouth fell open.
"I knew it!" Jisung cheered. "Taeyong hyung kwes me 1000 won!"
"They bet on us?" Jeno whispered.
"Seems like it."

"Oh my god I never should've told them." Jisung groaned. "Now you two are always cuddling."
"Jisung, I'll hug you." Jaemin playfully volunteered, but Jisung shied away, disgusted.
"Ew, no thank you."
"My baby doesn't love me." Jaemin cried dramatically. "Oh, how the world is ending."
"Get your act over with, Na Jaemin." Renjun said. "We all know your one true love is coffee, not Jisung, even if you're dating him. You'll drop him for coffee at any given moment."
"Hey!"

[name] knows jisung is doing a stream with his friends, but [name]'s day was horrible. nothing was going right for him, and he really just wanted to sit on his boyfriends lap and destress.
[name] creeps into jisung's streaming room, listening to the dark-haired male yell at haechan to kill the enemy or something. [name] smiles softly at the sight of his boyfriend, all of hi stress melting away.
jisung feels a presence behind him and he slips off his headset after telling something to haechan and the others. jisung turns around in his chair and a smile finds its way onto his face when he sees [name] standing there.
jisung makes sure to mute his mic before he speaks, "hey there, pretty boy. just get off work?"
[name] nods and makes his way to jisung. jisung wraps his arms around [name]'s hips as the other male leans into him.
"bad day?" jisung questions, making note of [name]'s unusual quietness.
"yeah, i just want to be close to you." [name] whispers, not trusting his voice to be any louder, because he doesn't want to cry.
"wanna sit on my lap while i stream? i remember how much you liked it last time." jisung offers, is hands working to pull his sweats off.
[name] nods again and removes his own pair of sweatpants (they're jisung's) and he sits himself on jisung's half-hard chub. [name] sighs as he sinks down fully, his body exploding with warmth.
jisung pats[name]'s back as he goes back to streaming, apologizing to his friends for being away for so long, and he also apologizes to his stream.
[name] begins to doze off as he listens to jisung talk to his stream and friends. jisung tends to stream for long hours, and it doesn't bother [name] at all, he likes that jisung is doing something he likes rather than doing something he doesn't like.
by the time jisung's stream is over, it's late at night and [name] is fast asleep in his lap. jisung doesn't have the heart to wake up the male, so he maneuvers himself to stand up with [name] in his arms.
jisung takes [name] to their shared bedroom and he detaches [name] from his cock. he tries hard to not wake him up as he slips some shorts onto the sleeping male. jisung slides into the bed beside [name] his arms wrapped tight around his precious boyfriend as he slips into a sweet slumber.
