loak x mom reader + sully family

Lo'ak sully had always felt like he was the black sheep of his family, or maybe his father less favorite child as she could never do anything the way his father and mother wanted. He was always messing up and will never be like his golden brother neteyam or his wonderful sisters. There were a little few that saw him for himself and one of them is you his mom, you knew your sons struggles and the times he tries to be the perfect son for his father and mom. He had always tried to be the perfect child for the clan and everyone else but it always seem to fail. As he had never did it the way they had wanted he was not up to their standards. This patterns of being called the less perfect child and freak will follow him into his teen years.

Y/n " Jake can we talk for moment"

Jake " yes my love I always will give up time for you"

y/n " thank you I need to talk with you about something important"

Jake " what is that about"

y/n " lo'ak we most talk about him" Jake soon looked and you and sighed heavily, this had gotten you attention.

Jake " well we are lucky enough his actions didn't get us and our clan kicked out after he put tsireya, aonung, and rotox lives in endanger for saying that outcast"

y/n " that so called outcast saved our sons life and is his spirt brother, and dear friend as well"

Jake " well if I dear son knew well he would listen to what tonowari and all these other oloeythans told him and saved away, from payakan because of him we nearly lost neteyam and many other lives as well ... because of him we all had to flee our homes and now the reef navi have lost their creatures and some of their homes"

y/n " Jake that our son you are speaking about like that, don't you hear yourself"

Jake " you don't understand we have to stop letting him get away with everything he does he bring shame to the family"

y/n "he bring shame to you but never to me"

Jake " I have no time to fight with you on this I have to meet up with neytiri, because we have more important stuff to do verse causing problems" Jake soon walked away from you and you were standing there mad, it was good that all the other kids were away at the moment.

later that day

tuk " mama mama"

tuk " there trouble on the beach come on" tuk soon dragged you towards the beach where you saw lo'ak standing alone as everyone was looking at him.

y/n " lo'ak what happened" you ran to lo'ak aid and you were now looking at him.

lo'ak " hey mama"

ronal " that boy was caught with payakan once again out on the water"

y/n " yes I knew that he told me he was going to see payakan"

ronal " you knew of this behavior and actions and encourage it"

y/n " yes payakan is friendly and harmless his actions in the past shouldn't reflect him now"

tonowari " your son was seen with payakan and some other tulkun is seems, like he was trying to get payakan accepted again"

lo'ak " well mama you said some people should be given a second chance, and I was hoping that will apply for payakan he shouldn't be hated forever"

navi women " so it the mother fault not raising her son right"

tonowari " that boy has done enough damage getting my daughter kidnapped by the demons, along with my sons hunted down as well nearly killed"

ronal " that boy cares about no one she but himself he nearly got his brother killed twice I have been told, and he could of gotten more killed as well"

lo'ak " if you all will listen to me for chance you will see payakan is good and fought for a good reason he, didnt mean to get anyone killed or hurt all those years ago"

Jake " I said enough" Jake was soon looking at you and lo'ak and he was mad.

Jake " enough both of you bringing shame upon me and neytiri, disrespecting everyone and their wishes"

lo'ak " dad please you have to understand I was trying to help be like you a god warrior and leader"

neytiri " you are far from that boy I pray to eywa I don't have the mood to rip out the eyes of my youngest son"

navi male " now I see the issue the boy mother allows him to be like this, because she as well lack discipline"

navi women 2 " the boy is like his mother there no lying their"

y/n " Jake and neytiri are you going to let them speak to our son like that, lo'ak if you son as well"

neytiri " he is your son I have my children neteyam, kiri, and tuk your son keeps on causing trouble nearly got mines killed all because he selfish"

lo'ak " mom I'm sorry I ..."

neytiri " no enough Jake will speak with you" neytiri soon turned around and walked away she was upset and mad.

Jake " I'm sorry everyone for my son behavior I will speak with him, and make sure this doesn't happen again I swear it"

tonowari " we will hold you onto those words Jake sully lets hope your son can see sense soon" soon everyone else had slowly started to leave Jake didn't say anything else he walked away shaking his head.

lo'ak " mama I"m sorry now I brought you into my mess"

y/n " it okay my son I'm proud of you my warrior" lo'ak soon smiled towards you the rest of the kids wish to come near, but were ushered away by kiri and ronal.

The next day

Jake " lo'ak will be extra task given to him by myself and the other olo'eythan to make up for his actions of yesterday and past months"

y/n " Jake that unfair he already has enough on his shoulder"

lo'ak " mama it okay dad spoke to me about it yesterday and I want to do it"

y/n "lo'ak"

neteyam " I will go with you baby bro and we can ask others to help"

Jake " no it will be out on the water and he will be doing it on his own"

lo'ak " it will be okay mama I will be fine"

Jake " come on boy you will be leaving now and come one once it done"

lo'ak " yes sir" you ahd followed Jake and lo'ak outside towards where the others leaders are waiting, they were speaking with Jake and soon looked at lo'ak.

olo'eythan " your father spoke for you on us trusting you with this task and we hope you do all, and just maybe this will make up for what happened"

lo'ak " yes sir I will not let anyone down"

tonowari " I hope not"

Jake " lets get on with it"

lo'ak " I will be okay mama no need to worry I will be home, I promise you everything will be okay and I will come home and make everyone proud"

lo'ak " yes mama" you soon hugged lo'ak tightly fearing the worst but you soon let him go. Soon the other children had come to say goodbye to lo'ak along with neytiri and ronal.

lo'ak " I know everything will be fine" soon lo'ak was gone on his IIu as you saw him getting smaller and smaller as, he was getting away from home.

Jake " he will be fine nothing bad will happen this plan will go well" before you could say anything else against your husband Jake was gone. You stood there watching hoping and praying that lo'ak will be okay and come home safe.

Later that day

y/n " the sun starting to set and he not home yet"

aonung " dont worry y/n lo'ak will be home soon it take all day"

Jake " no yet he will be fine when it dark we will send someone to go find him, that finally no more fighting me on this" Jake soon stormed off the children had kept you busy, until night fall had come. You were alone in the house and were wondering where lo'ak was at right now. You soon walked towards the water hoping to see lo'ak, no one else was around gone in the village.

y/n " lo'ak ... lo'ak ... lo'ak" you soon heard a loud splash as it got your attention, you soon walked into the water hear the sound of IIu call but sound bad.

y/n " lo'ak ... lo'ak" you soon saw payakan but what made you panic the most was that there was someone laying on payakan back, it was lo'ak.

y/n " lo'ak" you scream you son name as your swam towards him soon getting towards his body, and it was bad it seem he was in a bad fight but you soon saw the RDA hook on his IIU.

max " take him into the tent we can save him" you and neteyam soon placed lo'ak on a mat on the bed, as norm and Max race to get everything they need at the moment.

neteyam " mama"

y/n " stay outside and keep watch okay" neteyam said nothing as him and spider looked scared about everything that was happening lo'ak looked bad he was more hurt then neteyam.

lo'ak " mama... mama"

y/n " hush kiddo it okay I'm her with uncle norm and max we are going to make you feel better" you had placed your hands on lo'ak comforting him while norm and max put IV in him along with other stuff. Neteyam had yelled out in pain as everything hurt so badly, it seems like he had broken bones, cuts and bruised on his body along with some burns as well.

lo'ak " mama is hurts"

norm " lo'ak kid you are going to feel some pain for a bit"

lo'ak " yes sir" Max had sticked lo'ak with some more thing making the boy scream again.

Lo'ak " they found me mama ... I was with payakan and some other tulkun we tried to escape ... then fight but it didn't work mama I don't know if the others are okay to much happened"

y/n " hush now you need to save all the energy you have"

lo'ak " mama I'm sorry I let everyone down I didn't do well I...."

y/n " don't speak like that I'm prpud of you my son you did well" you had kissed lo'ak forehead, but he still in pain. It hurt you to see your kids in pain but now it hurt more as there was nothing you can do.

neteyam " dad over here he in there with mama" soon Jake came into the room with neytiri behind them, both of them look horrified to see Jake. They were soon followed by the other sully kids and tonowari kids as well.

kiri " lo'ak"

Jake " kids go wait outside"

mo'at " what has happen is my grandson ... look"

y/n " mo'at we are going to need your help" mo'at soon entered the tent and started helping where she could. You soon saw Jake and neytiri still by the entrance looking, you soon went towards them.

Jake " wait can we do to help"

y/n " stay outside and out of the way" you soon closed the tent door on them and went back to your son, who was in need of help right now. Soon enough all four adults had gotten lo'ak stable and placed him on a new bed to sleep on for the night.

mo'at " you should stay with him tonight he will need a parent with him, and attention If anything bad happens"

y/n " thank you"

norm " it will take some time for him to deal but he has broken bones, burns on his legs and arms, with some cuts and bruises as well he had lost blood as well"

y/n " oh lo'ak"

max " he lucky to be alive but we will need to keep an close eye on him"

y/n " thank you all for helping"

max " the others are still waiting outside you can go speak with them, I will watch over the boy until you all come back" you had nodded your head saying nothing else as you soon left the tent with mo'at and norm. That when you saw everyone else waiting outside it seems like they been waiting for a while.

neteyam " mama" neteyam soon saw you and came running with his siblings and his cousins along with their friends.

kiri " mama how is lo'ak"

y/n " he if stable at the moment and now resting"

mo'at " thanks to the efforts of norm, max, and your mama we were able to get him stable"

norm " kids clam down lo'ak is resting right now and not taking any visitors"

y/n " you know lets make a deal tomorrow you all can go see him, if he wake by then"

rotxo " we don't know about what we couldn't hear and we wanted to see how things were going for lo'ak"

mo'at " children y/n is overwhelmed with lo'ak right now and we should give them space, you all should be heading home"

the kids " yes ma'am"

y/n " go on home now I will see you'll tomorrow my loves and kids" the children had nodded their heads and soon left, but not before giving a goodbye to you and lo'ak. Your children had hugged you and it was easy to tell none of them are taking this whole situation well.

mo'at " I will let you deal with Jake and my daughter first and then I will deal with them later"

norm " I have some words for them as well... there are some blanks and bed for you y/n that you can use ... Max will be staying in human hut that a fee feet away along with me as well"

y/n " thank you all" soon norm and mo'at had left to go attend to the children and make sure they got home, you were waiting outside when you heard footsteps coming toward you.It was Jake and neytiri along with tonowari and oloeythans.

Jake " how is he can we see him is he talking"

y/n " he is stable for now and resting"

neytiri " then we will go see our son"

y/n " no is resting

Jake " then we will be quite we wish to see him and care for him"

y/n " I said he resting leave him be for now"

neytiri " one of us can stay with you for the night and be there for our son"

y/n " the children at home need you right now I will stay here with lo'ak and you deal with our kids at home"

tonowari " y/n we are greatly sorry for ...."

y/n " your kdis need you at home as well tonowari I will see you all tomorrow" you soon left saying nothing else as you soon looked at lo'ak as he was resting tears falling down your face, there were some words that lo'ak shared with you that you will deal with in the morning. You soon started humming the song that lo'ak and his siblings love, it seem to make matter better. You are praying deep down that lo'ak will get better as he resting in bed healing. There was so much that happened last night that will affect everyone later on, that might break relationships forever and cause damage that can't be healed so easily.

auth notes. wanted to write a jealousy trope w the sully teens, because they’re highly emotional and i love them for it. i barely see any kiri works on my feed (˃̣̣̥ヘ˂̣̣̥) !

claims that he is hardly ever jealous. covetous when you join aonung further in the surf than you’re supposed to? sure. bitter when you pitch a friendly arm around neteyam after a close call with jake? fine. but jealous? noooo. he’ll sulk and lodge into a hole with himself all day, eyebrows intrenched and mood sullied with grime. he will confide with payakan and let drop the secret of his jealousy — but it will take weeks for you to converge him in his free time. dwell deep into his bones, skin and soul. feel his jealousy, his bitterness. stipple his knuckles gently whilst he belts his honesty out — “yes, yes i was jealous” — in the stretched out darkness of you and him and the stars — he is bound to love you endlessly.

: NETEYAM — ՞ 〃 ᩙᩙ

thinks he handles jealousy well but its an adversarial clockwork in that head of his. a ticking time bomb. although it takes more to will him, it is not wholly avoidable — lo’ak will lackadaisically mention that you’re hunting with rotxo or seen with aonung, bickering as you usually do, not to get a rise out of his brother — the older’s ears are erect and twitching on their own. but it’s not jealousy, but mere inquisitiveness. it’s in the later frills of the day that he hears from you less often or sees you as a piddling dot. expect him to laxly appear by you, take your hand in his larger one. he will glare more and talk less, just dragging you here and there, with just four footprints — when you nest deep in his warlike head, he will sigh and tell you “i missed you” with his fingers melting on your own and your lips are already on him.

: KIRI — . ˚ 𖧷 · °

its less like a flame with kiri, and more like melting wax: the sting of jealousy will persist in vexing her in the comfortable welt of the sun or silent brooklet with sand and stones at her feet like a candle weeping: she hears her heart, thumping, with the beat of eywa guiding her. but her body is hot and brambly when she spots you awkwardly cackling with her brothers or the boys of the main. she sticks her head beneath the foamy waves and attempts to entrance herself with the rhythm of eywa. she thinks it is because of her difference. her ‘weirdness.’ but her leer and concentration is razed when two blue feet dig in the sand in front of her — water is lodged in her hair and lashes as she gawps at you and asks you “what are you doing here?” and when you tell her how much the boys bore you and how much she doesn’t, she’ll curl her fingers around your palm and giggle as she descends into the nippy waves, knowing no one will intrigue you as much as she does.

Heartbreak

: ̗̀➛ paring ; neteyam x f!metkayinareader

warnings ; angst, heartbreak, mean teyam :/

|| you had loved neteyam sully dearly, you believed he was your true love. You believed it was the same for him, considering you two were in a relationship. Though the thought became questionable after seeing him with her.

“So Kiri stuck her foot out it, then- then Loak tripped it was so funny!” You wheezed, picturing the funny memory you had witnessed earlier that morning.

“Mh..” Your mate hummed, clearly unfazed or interested in the conversation. The Omaticaya boy sharpened his dagger he was gifted on his 10th birthday — it never left his side since.

You awkwardly sat there, fingers tapping the ground to fill the tense air. Lately he’d been so.. distant from you and you couldn’t understand why. Your blue eyes just watched his fingers work, your own still making a rhythm on the floorboards.

“Yawne stop I am trying to focus.” He whispered, the navi accent slurring right off his tongue.

A quiet ‘sorry’ escapes your soft lips, still eying his activity.

The hut you two shared was usually loud, filled with laughter and love but recently— it was the complete opposite. Either Neteyam came home late or an argument would occur, it was draining. You missed him, not this stranger.

You missed the man you fell involve with.

“I’m going to go sleep.” You spoke softly, glancing at your mate one last time as you rose to your feet. He sat there, legs hanging into the water as you two were sitting at the outside part of your hut.

A nod was all he did, still focusing on the dagger.

“Goodnight.”

“Yeah, night.”

You wanted to take your mind off things, so the following morning you decided to hangout with your best friend Loak by the water. Atleast HE gave you attention, which was ironic. The younger brother of your mate payed more attention to you in a day than he could a month.

The troublemaking boy noticed your sad demeanour, nudging your side with his elbow.

“Hm?” Your head turned to face him.

“What’s up?”

“Nothing?” You mumbled as you brought your knees to your chest, taking in the view of the water and the blue sky ahead of you two.

Loak hated when you were like this— sad and didn’t want any help. He knew you were too stubborn to speak, stubborn to keep things to yourself. So he stood up, holding his palm out to you.

A puzzled look was all he received, so the boy rolled his eyes, “cmon.”

“What?”

“Let’s go see payakan, cmon bro.” Loak pulled you up to your feet, holding onto your wrist tightly.

“i dunno— i should head home soon, neteyam will-“

Loak scoffed, “neteyam, neteyam, neteyam~” He mimicked your voice which made you let out a soft chuckle, “cmon, you can hang with me for an hour or two. Please.” A pout formed on his face, a pout he did that always got him what he wanted.

This boy really knew how to get onto your nerves, but soon, you caved in and smiled.

“Finee, only an hour.”

“Thank youu you’re the best!”

Soon enough you arrived home, it was after eclipse now so the sky was dark, the bioluminescent ocean was the only thing lighting the darkness of your home.

“Tey? i’m home—“

But you froze. There he sat with another girl in the clan. She had beautiful long curly hair that was tied up in a bun. The girl sat there, kissing Neteyam as he wrapped her arm around her.

“Teyam.” You whispered. It was the only word you could whisper. Your Teyam, your lovely Teyam had another girl over in your home. Kissing another girl in your home.

Your breath was stuck in your throat, your heart felt like it was crumbling — your eyes began to water.

“Yawne.” Neteyam stood up immediately, slowly walking towards you, hand reaching to hold you.

“no- no- Just stop! Okay? you-“

How could he do this to you? You stepped back away from him.

“Let me explain, ple-“

“No! No- these past weeks you’ve treated me like shit! Now i come home to see you cheating on me with another girl are you serious?”

Your mate sighed softly infront of you, “yawne, please i just-“

“You just what? huh? you just decided to cheat on someone who loves you so damn much?”

“i just lost feelings okay?! i didnt know how to tell you.”

The air was now cold and silent — you two shared intense eye contact until yours softened.

“i’m going.” You whispered with a shaky voice, turning your back to him and his side piece, walking out the hut. Your eyes forced you to turn around one more time, to see if he’d follow you. But to your surprise, he didn’t.

He didn’t care anymore. He didn’t love you anymore.

Not Time Yet

Summary: In quest to save Spider and escape the sinking ship, you take the bullet instead of Neteyam

Pairing: Neteyam x GN Navi!Reader

Warnings: Spoilers from ATWOW, gunshot wound, blood, angst, near death experience

The ship that held your friends was quickly sinking thanks to large part to Payakan. Screaming and gunfire filled your eardrums, trying to push it away and focusing on freeing Lo’ak, Kiri, Tuk and Tsireya with Neteyam and getting the hell away from the ship.

It went surprisingly smooth, despite the shooting around and against you. Somewhere along the fighting, the group was separated from Kiri, Tsireya and Tuk after you and Neteyam got his siblings out of the bindings tying them to the skip. That was until Lo’ak refused to leave Spider behind who was still inside somewhere. ”They have Spider! We’ve got to get him, come on!”

Neteyam, being the older protective brother, of course followed after Lo’ak, and you followed after them. You three found Spider and made quick work of trying to escape from the ship will simultaneously getting shot at by the fake Avatars still onboard. The group made it to a railing overlooking the to the sea, and while Neteyam shot with a gun at the humans, Spider ran across and flung himself over the railing and into the water followed by Lo’ak.

”Alright, on the count of three, we run.” Neteyam took your hand in one of his while still shooting with the other. You squeezed his hand and nodded quickly before you remembered he couldn’t see it, instead responded with an okay. Neteyam started the countdown. ”One, two, three!”

He dropped the gun and broke out in run, heaving yourselves over the railing and free falling into the sea, away from the bullets aiming for the two of you. Yes, we made it! Even before you made impact the water, a sharp stinking sensation appeared in your chest. Your legs struggled to kick upwards when your body submerged in the water, swimming up to the surface and gasping for air moments after Neteyam did. Lo’ak and Spider were bobbing in the waves, waiting for you two to emerge, looking relieved. ”There you are, let's get out of here!”

Pain stabbed in your chest as you tried to follow the boys, so you stopped moving with a hiss. You looked down at yourself, and horror filled you upon seeing the water around your body slowly turning red. Neteyam, being the closes two you, heard the hissing and turned back around. Concern filled his eyes as he swam closer. He touched his hand to your shoulder tenderly. ”[Name], are you alright?”

His eyes scanned your body, looking from your face down to your chest, seeing what was wrong. Neteyam pressed his hand immediately firmly against the middle of your chest right where the burning sensation was located. ”Shit! Lo’ak, Spider, they have been shot!”

What felt like in the blink of an eye, Lo’ak and Spider was by your sides and grabbing a hold of you and starting to swim away towards the cliffs. Neteyam cradled your head in one hand, the other still pressing against the bleeding wound. You saw his lips moving but the words he spoke didn’t reach your ears. Your vision was blurring and ears ringing, everything seemed to be going in slow motion and speed up at the same time. Lungs struggling to pull in air, there’s not enough air, I cannot breathe, I cannot br-

“Dad! Dad, help! It’s [Name], they’re shot!” Lo’ak shouted loudly as another pair of hands griped at your body, helping to carry you up and out of the water to the nearest cliff-site. “Watch their head!” Distinctly you note that you’re no longer in the water but laid on your back with Neteyam, Spider, Lo’ak, Jake and Tsireya above you, eyes frightened and close to tears.

Then suddenly the world had tilted to the side along with your body, it’s Jake hands rolling you over to the side. “No exit wound, that’s good. Keep pressure on the wound Neteyam! We’ve got to get them to the Tsahík and quickly.”

Facing upwards again, you look up at the blue sky, breathing getting more and more difficult with every inhale and exhale. Out of the corner of your eye, a green ikran carrying Neytiri landed, the woman detaching the tsaheylu before rushing to join Jake’s side, looking down at you with so much worry and sadness.

Neteyam locks his gaze with yours, his eyes heavy and tortured. Strong hands cradle your cheeks, smearing blood on your skin, not that it really mattered. Another pair replaces his on the oozing wound. His thumbs swiped under your eyes, and you didn’t realize till now that your crying. “Stay awake, yawne (beloved), you will be alright. Just, please stay awake!”

A trembling hand moves up to clutch at Neteyam’s wrist, holding on as tight as you could. Black dots were appeared, each and every breath turning more and more difficult and painful to inhale. You knew you were going to die. Trembling lips curved into the smile that Neteyam first fell in love with all those months ago. “Oel ngati kameie (I see you), Neteyam.”

Tears spilled from Neteyam’s eyes, rolling down his cheeks. The boy you loved above else was suffering, seeing the one he loved saying farewell. Neteyam shook his head, a sob escaping his lips, refusing to believe that he was losing you. “No, do not say goodbye. I can’t lose you!”

You leaned your head back as exhaustion creeped upon you, letting your hand slowly fall from Neteyam’s cheek. The breath left your lungs in an exhale. All the voices and touches of the ones you loved fell to the background as your eyes slid shut without your permission and you lost consciousness. Peace, all you could feel was peace.

Neteyam has been pacing back and forth for what felt like days, ever since he and his family rushed back to Awa’atlu with your unconscious body. It’s been hours since Ronal and Tsireya took you inside the healing hut and forbade any visitors. Neteyam felt numb, not knowing if his chosen mate was alive or not. If he would ever see their eye color, or their smile, or feel their touch ever again. Jake and Neytiri had tried to calm their eldest son distress several times with no result, so they had turned their attention to the rest of their children instead.

Lo’ak and Kiri were usually silent, Tuk fell asleep eventually after having cried into her mom’s shoulder. Even Spider was hopeless on what to do. After what was several stressful hours, Ronal stepped out of the hut, and everyone was up and on their feet again in seconds. Before the Tsahík could even open her mouth to dress the family, Neteyam beat her to it. ”Are they okay? Are they alive? Can I see them?”

”Yes, they are alive, and they are going to get better. I have done what I could for them. Now we pray that Eywa wills them a fast recovery.” Ronal spoke, her voice as tender as Neteyam have ever heard. ”You may see them, but only for a moment. They are still weak and need to rest.”

With the given permission, Neteyam ducked into the hut, careful to make his steppes light. His heart broke even further at the sight of you. You lay on a bedding on the huts floor, sound asleep. Your wound had been treated with healing herbs and wrapped with cloth, the material stained with your blood. It would need to be changed soon.

Neteyam slowly sat down beside your sleeping body. He took your limb hand in his, squeezing your hand tenderly. He leaned his cheek against the soft skin, breathing your scent in, letting his eyelids fall shut. He gave his thanks to Eywa for not taking you away yet, for allowing you to remain with Neteyam a while more. A squeeze on his hand made Neteyam open his eyes again.

”Do not look so sad, tìyawn (love). It does not suit you.” You mumbled, blinking eyes open to look at the male beside you. A smile stretched across your face despite the throbbing pain in your chest, happy to be alive and close with the man you’ve chosen. But Neteyam frowned.

”You almost died. I almost lost you, yawne (beloved). I…I can not lose you [Name], my heart wouldn’t survive it.” Your smile turned softer, more gentle. You could understand the fear Neteyam experienced, it was one you felt hundreds of times before, every time he and Lo’ak followed Jake out to battle, praying to Eywa to please bring him back alive.

You brought your hand up to Neteyam’s cheek, cupping the soft skin, thumb stroking the flesh absentmindedly. ”I am alive Neteyam, you will not lose me anytime soon. Eywa wouldn’t have placed me in your path if she didn’t mean more for us.”

”Nga yawne lu oer (I love you), Oel ngati kameie (I see you).” Neteyam leaned down, resting his lips against your forehead, cheeks and finally your lips. You smiled against his lips, kissing him back before letting yourself speak the words between kisses. ”Nga yawne lu oer (I love you).”

No one in the family thought in a million years that lo'ak was going to be a father. But they were surprised when Y/N said he was expecting twins.

Yes, twins. Twice the chaos, that was the first thing that popped into jake's head. He's praying to eywa, that the babies would have Y/N's character, because if not… he knew he'd die of a heart attack.

On the other hand the happiness lo'ak had was something he couldn't hide. His beautiful, precious, adorable Y/N was going to bless him with twins. Mo'at commanded you to take things easy. And that was what lo'ak set out to do throughout your pregnancy.

He literally stopped doing his daily chores, to be by your side all the time. He didn't care if he heard what many said, that he was overreacting to your pregnancy blah blah blah. The man was going to make sure you were safe.

Eywa blessed them with two beautiful girls. Two girls, lo'ak was crying as he came over to give you a kiss on your forehead. Wiping away tears that fell from your cheeks. "Thank you…thank you tìyawn" lo'ak is so excited, he doesn't know what to do.

Neytiri gave him the two creatures, while she took care of you. He held his two girls. He did not know what he had done right, for these two beauties to be his daughters. Pride did not fit in his chest. "Ma Y/N, you did an excellent job. I am so proud of you. You've made me the happiest man alive" his tears streamed down his cheeks.

From that moment on, he promised himself to be the best father any child could ever have. He wanted his daughters to feel loved, protected and understood. No matter what.

And so three years passed. And his two girls had grown up so fast, and that meant he could take them everywhere he could. And that made you a little tense. You knew that lo'ak was very… risky with his adventurous places.

Your two girls, Silpey and Rey'eng were very different. Silpey was very active and adventurous. While Rey'eng was quiet and shy. But they were both their daddy's girls. Lo'ak would carry them both in his arms, walking through the forest, while talking about the adventures he had experienced.

They would like to take everyone for a walk by the sea, with Payakan. "Be very careful, yawnetu" you speak, worried about your girls. They were still very young, but lo'ak insisted that they would be fine.

"Don't worry…they will be fine" says lo'ak holding your waist, the man was kneeling in front of you. Leaving kisses on your hands, reaching up to give you another kiss on your neck. You laugh a little, while holding your baby.

He would treat his daughters equally, no matter if one was faster than the other. He would try to be equal. He didn't want his daughters to feel like they were competing all the time.

His girls are forbidden to call him 'sir', he is their father not their boss. He loves his father, but hated it when he had to call him that. He wants his daughters to have the confidence to tell him how they feel. Even though they are still very young.

To lo'ak, he would not mind showing his affection and love in front of his daughters. You were the love of his life. Your babies would be used to seeing their father hugging, kissing and being extremely loving to their mother. This would be great for the girls… they would run to their uncle neteyam and hug him saying something like "who is the most beautiful creature in pandora" silpey would say, while neteyam would be a little confused.

He would show off his girls everywhere. My girls do this, they're great at doing this etc. He would have the help of his big brother and his best friend spider. They would be in charge of being the best uncles. Showing off how his nieces were the best at everything they did.

He would always have the afternoon free for you. He likes to arrive at the family hut, see his girls get up and run to where he was, to welcome him. Watching as Y/N was cleaning up and preparing what they were going to have for snack. "Did you have a good day today?" asks lo'ak, sitting down behind you. Grabbing your waist pulling you closer to his lap. Breathing and kissing your neck.

"Ohh yeah, I had a great day. I helped mo'at and kiri. Also, neytiri was here helping me with the girls" you speak, feeling his arms tighten around you. "I love you so much…yawntu" lo'ak murmurs in your ear.

Sometimes lo'ak would feel that he is not capable of being a good father. He has always felt insecure, and this would give him insomnia at night. "It's too late…are you okay" you would speak, hugging him from behind to leave multiple kisses on his soft skin. "They deserve a better father…I think" lo'ak says, watching his girls sleep. "Lo'ak you are the best father those girls could have… you love them, you care for them. You are the best father you could be" you speak, as you watch lo'ak turn to face each other. He reaches over and gives you a soft kiss. "What would I do without you" you raise a hand and caress his face. "Be the best father of all."

He was back, again, we left the forest for this and he still came back, the worst possible outcome were reeling through my mind, the tawtute burning other clans for information and lo'ak bonding with payakan on top of it makes me wanna bang my head against a wall, Jake got upset with him, everything has been a complete and utter mess right now, but Ronal took some tension off me letting me know that it was all fine as tonowari was really upset with lo'ak as well but he had forgiven him but just wants lo'ak to be careful next time, Ronal and me became good friends after a while, first we weren't as close but as her's and my pregnancy progressed we kept everything aside and started anew, she helped me through everything as did i helped her, we weren't so far apart in our pregnancies either, mostly spending our time with each other.

My heart broke as i saw scene before me, Ronal hugged her now dead spirit sister and her babe that was killed with her, tonowari just floated beside her comforting her, i leaned onto Jake, tears escaping my own eyes and buried my head into his shoulder while he rubbed my thigh, Jake had tears of his own but held back, this was happening because of him, quatrich was after him and would go to any level to get to him, he took my hand in his own rubbing his thumb down my knuckles, he swam forward to take a look around the tulkun that's when he saw the tracker, blinking away…

Everyone gathered in the war tent, screaming and crying out for the loss of the spirit sister of their tsahik, i stood besides Jake, he was trying his best to make them understand that going to war won't do them any good and could be catastrophic but they weren't in the state of mind to understand as Ronal came forward "you live with us and still do not understand our way!" I walked in front of Jake stopping her from doing anything, he looked around at the enraged people and said the next best thing he could think of "listen to me! You want the tulkuns safe? Then go tell them that if they see this shot at them then let me know, i will come and deactivate it" everyone looked at eachother, hesitation evident in the air and i spoke "go, tell them, tell them to be safe" all of them nodded giving one look at their leaders before sprinting towards the sea to inform their spirit brothers and sisters, i sigh, Jake came down from the elevated rock standing besides me as he slipped his arm across my waist, tonowari and Ronal still stood in front of us, we gave them our condolence and apology and walked out.

I sat near the fire watching it crackle and pop every now and then, Jake sat next to me his hands brushing up and down my back when lo'ak's voice cracked into my ear piece and i looked at my mate with wide eyes and i heard lo'ak say "dad, a tulkun is marked, we are near the three brothers rock, trying to take out the tracker" worry filled me as i spoke "who are with you?", "Everyone, even tsireya and ao'nung" with that we bolted towards ronal's and tonowari's mauri "get out of there, stay back! We are coming" i say as we burst through their mauri opening and Jake started "quick the kids are in danger, your kids are there as well, c'mon we have to go" they both go to work and i turned around and ran with Jake to our mauri to pick up our weapons, picking up my bow and arrows i send a prayer for protection to eywa but Jake stopped me putting a hand on my swollen stomach "you should stay ba-" before he could finish i said "my kids are in danger jake, i won't sit back!" He just nodded knowing full well there was no debating this, we walked out and i call for my ikran and Jake climbed on his tsurak.

Flying above the metkayina soldiers, i looked at the demon ship as they held lo'ak , tuk and tsireya hostage near the railing, my blood boiled all i wanted was to kill that demon again, i killed him once i can kill him again, i was about to dive down when a voice rang, that cold dreadful voice which i never wanted to hear ever again " if you want your son alive then come here, Alone, Jake sully, I'm sure you wouldnt want that to happen would'ya?" His chuckle made me nauseous, he had a gun pointed to lo'ak's head and another one of the demons had gun pointed towards tsireya as well, i saw Jake hesitate to lower his gun but did it anyways and slowly floated forward, he's gonna give himself up, without wasting another minute i flied forward silently hovering above the ship, seeing my chance to swoop in, i didn't have to wait fo too long as payakan burst out slamming onto the ship tilting it down and taking my chance i dived down shooting down any remaining soldiers with my arrows, i saw some machines break the water surface and i immediately turned around and tried to shoot them, some demons inside the ships were killed but some escaped beneath the water, dropping onto one of the decks on the other side of the ship, disconnecting the bond, i slowly walked inside, tip toeing my way in, two soldiers ran inn and i shot one of them down the other looked around bewildered shooting his gun blindly but not long enough before he was dead too…

On the opposite side neteyam got up on the deck cutting through the cuffs as he freed tsireya and tuk finally getting to lo'ak, he chuckled bending down ruffling his brothers hair "who's my mighty warrior?" Lo'ak just rolled his eyes, his brother pulled him towards the edge so they can dive inn but lo'ak stopped turning around "we have to save spider!" Neteyam hesitated but caved inn following behind him, taking spider from the lab, silently they walked towards to moon pool, dropping down and immediately attacking the nearest humans they ran towards the pool but fell back as gunfire rang, lo'ak took down one of the soldiers picking his gun pointing in different directions, neteyam just rolled his eyes taking the gun from him scoffing, lo'ak groaned but stayed behind neteyam as he shot the men in front of him "GO! go! Now!" He yelled at them, lo'ak and spider dived in the pool leaving neteyam behind, the bullets ran out from his gun without thinking he ran forward and fell into the pool…

I ran forward diving inn as those demons shoot me from the ship, i felt a pain zap through my right shoulder, swimming away the best i could i broke the water surface taking inn deep breaths, looking around as i saw y/i/n, calling out to him/her and mounting with much difficulty i took flight.

Getting down onto were most of my family stood, a body was lying on it, my heart stopped and i forgot my pain in that moment as i stumbled from my ikran, my eyes only trying to focus on that body as i fell to the ground beside it, neteyam Lying there unmoving, the world stopped as a blood curdling scream left my throat, the pain was taking over me as i pulled him to me, but my limbs fail me and i fell on my back, black spots appearing in my vision.

Jake held me and put pressure on my wound as blood poured out of my shoulder, the bullet was still embedded inside and it felt like my shoulder was on fire, he flipped me over checking my back "it's okay, it's okay, stay with me, don't close your eyes baby, look at me" everything was getting blurry as i fought to keep my eyes open, focusing on Jake i felt someone take my hand "mom please don't close your eyes" lo'ak gasped out, there was movement a lot of movement, i felt my body being picked up, the strain against my shoulder too great as i screamed, trying to muffle myself but failing miserably, i don't know what was going on but i kept my eyes open, i felt someone speak the voice was familiar maybe it was Ronal? How much time has passed? but my brain didn't decipher it for me but the person that voice came from digged a finger into the bullet hole nimbly removing the bullet while i screamed, something wet and sticky was applied to it as it stung the entirety time, i gasped for air, i already had a gash running down my chest due to those demons on the ship and i fell unconscious, i fluttered my eyes open my, eyesight somewhat clear as i shot up, looking around Jake sat besides me pulling me into a hug, he puts both his hands on my cheeks as he says "you have to stay strong, look at me, breath! Breath! Strong heart" patting my chest, my thoughts were only on neteyam, i looked at him but he wasn't there, i looked at Jake confused he was there before what was happening? My heart was being crushed second by second and Jake just shook his head, i didn't want to believe it but i gathered whatever strength that was left in me as i looked at the dying sunset, i felt the bandages on my shoulder and torso shift and sting but didn't care, all i could see right now is red, blood red, blood of only one person..

I jumped down my ikran, gently rolling down shooting down any soldiers in sight, hitting and ripping anyone in sight i made my way forward,it was a while before i got to the other side of the port deck that connected to the moon pool were that bastard kept my girls locked, my vision becoming red by second as i waited for my chance to pounce, i saw spider crawling from another side, he Haven't noticed me yet and i knew what i had to do as i waited for the opportunity, Jake stood there tuk was near the ship with tsireya, while quaritch held a knife to kiri's throat and i did not hesitate to jump out of my hiding place, grabbing spider in one swipe as i brought my own knife to his throat and looked at the father of the boy i was holding "a son for a son" and hissed at him, he just chuckled dryly "he's nothing to me, he's not my son" and i tilted my head, bringing the knife in my hand even closer to his neck drawing blood now, kiri screamed but was silenced as quaritch tugged at her braid, i knew what i had to do "is that so?" I said bringing my knife up with a yell as I brought it down just inches away from spider's chest. He yelled to stop, a smirk forming on my face as he lets kiri go "let him go now!" I did as he said, not turning my back on him. I backed out towards kiri , tuk, i turned around for Jake but i saw him talking with that demon "ma' Jake!" But he didn't turn back and the only thing i heard him say was "let's get this done" as he dived for quaritch and fought tooth and nail, pivoting i ushered kiri and tuk sending a prayer to eywa for Jake, we got to a shallow part of the ship, i put tuk in front of me but before i can see her foot slip and i caught her but her hand slipped from mine due to the force of water, i got in with her, as we both fell in a cabin like square i hissed pressing myself into the wall putting my hands on the bump of my stomach, this was taking a toll on me but i got back on my feet as i called for tuk, i heard her voice calling back treading forward i saw her smaller figure swimming to me, holding her in my arms i kissed her head and told her to go forward, tumbling through doors and rooms we were now trapped in this tunnel like area with no exit, i sigh taking deep breath to calm myself and pulling tuk closer to me, she buried her head in my neck with a muffled "mom I'm scared" my heart broke but i was scared too for her, for Jake, for myself, rubbing her back i said "shh it's gonna be okay, we're gonna be fine! Okay? Just calm down and breathe slowly, with me, sweetheart" i tried my best but the water was filling in, pulling tuk as much as i can towards me, i chanted a prayer to eywa, we stood there for a while, the space to breath was getting smaller and smaller just when i lost all hope to get out a shimmering light flooded the now dark way, i saw small luminous fishes swam towards us and saw kiri's head pop in, swimming towards us i gave her the biggest hug i could muster, giving me the creature that helped to breath underwater we all swam towards the exit, finally coming out of the ship floating upward and breaking the water, i looked around everywhere until i saw payakan with Jake and lo'ak on his fin, i couldn't help as i called out "Ma' Jake! Ma' Jake" his eyes turned towards us, pulling me into him as I hugged him tightly. We all hugged each other finally everything was over…..or was it?

I sat beside neteyam his breathing even, he was shot in his arm but due to blood loss he went unconscious, when i arrived at the rock i passed out thinking he died, everyone in that moment thought he died as well when tsireya took him back to the healing mauri while Ronal came around to patch me up, i had lost a significant amount of blood as well but adrenaline kept me awake for so long, the moment we touched the beach i fell into Jake's arms and was brought to the healers tent, now everyone was fine, neteyam was fine, my family was fine, i sigh as i brush the stray hairs from 'teyam's face to the sides, i opted to stay by his side as Jake went to talk to Ronal and tonowari about our departure so we won't be threat to them anymore, i was startled when i felt a presence next to me, Jake chuckled leaning in and kissing my cheek his arm automatically wrapping around my back and stomach, i leaned onto his chest looking up at him i asked "what did they say? When are we moving?" He just smiled shaking his head " we aren't going anywhere, they have decided to give us the permission to live here as long as we want" my eyes widened but felt happy they have finally accepted us, sighing i just nodding, he kissed my forehead once more, Happiness is simple it's in small things that you think won't mean much, but those moments are the ones that get you through life…..

Me, lo'ak, tuk and tsireya were tied up on the ship. I didn't know what to do. We were all freaking out. How could I let this happen? I'm the oldest here. I am supposed to take care of everyone, and not let them get killed. This was all my fault.

"We're gonna die. We're gonna die." Tsireya kept repeating, "reya stop," I said. "We're not gonna die." She needed to stop fucking talking because it was freaking me out even more.

"How do u know that?!" She screamed at me.

"BOTH OF YOU. SHUT UP" lyle screamed as he pushed his gun against my head. Tuk started sobbing. How? How could I let such a little child get into danger like this? Lo'ak was just quiet the whole time. Zoned out. Just looking at his dad who's about to sacrifice himself.

"What's it gonna be?" Quaritch said through the earpiece he stole from lo'ak. Jake slowly started swimming towards the ship. "Easy shot" lyle said as he pointed his gun to jake, "no. Wait until he's on board" quaritch said as he tapped lyles shoulder.

Suddenly, out of no where. Payakan jumped on the boat. Everyone started shooting at him, but no bullet could go through his thick skin. Everyone from our clan started swimming towards the ship. Ready to fight.

Everyone suddenly started going after jake and the rest of the clan, leaving me, lo'ak, tuk and reya alone. So many things were all happening at once. People shooting. People dying. People drowning. And we were just stuck on the ship, not being able to do anything about it.

The ship suddenly went over a rock, flying upwards. Water started flooding the ship. "Is everyone okay?" Lo'ak asked worried looking at us all. "NO WE'RE GONNA DIE." tsireya screamed.

someone jumped on the ship, "neteyam!" Tuk said as she smiled. "Don't worry guys. Ur not gonna die" he said as he bent down to untie tuk and tsireya "reya, get tuk outta here" he said. Tsireya nodded as jumped on their ilu to swim away. "Cmon hurry up bro" lo'ak said.

"Y/n are you okay?" He said with a worried look on his face as he scanned ur body for wounds "I'm fine neteyam, let's just get outta here" he cut me loose as, and then scooted over to lo'ak.

"Cmon let's go" neteyam said, we were about to jump off before walked over to a body to grab a gun. "Lo'ak what are you doing?" I said as I walked back to Lo'ak.

"They've got spider, we've gotta get him." Me and neteyam looked worried at eachother. I nodded as we both followed Lo'ak to get spider.

We were just a few feet away from spider and some humans, the humans seemed to protect him with guns. "How are we gonna get him when he's surrounded by guns?" I whispered. "Don't worry, they're small humans. We're fucking navis" lo'ak said as he walked a little bit closer. He was talking about our size. But that doesn't matter when they have guns that can kill us in an instant.

Lo'ak and neteyam ran to them, "GUYS STOP." I screamed as they ran. But ofcourse they didn't stop. So stupid. Neteyam stabbed one in his back, as lo'ak shot one in his leg. Spider saw what they were doing, so he hit the last one with his elbow. I was still standing around the corner, shocked how they just killed people.

The one that spider hit was laying on the ground, he slowly started to get up trying to shoot them. They all didn't notice it, but I did. I saw a gun laying down next to me and a dead body. I grabbed the gun as I shot the person laying on the ground.

Oh. My. Eywa.

I just killed someone.

I dropped the gun to the ground as all three of the boys looked at me. I started to tear up. Neteyam ran to me as he layed his hand on my cheek, "hey, sweetheart it's okay. You did it to protect us." I was still sobbing looking at his dead body.

"We need to get outta here. Now." Lo'ak said as he pointed to an avatar standing around the corner with a gun.

Neteyam pushed me behind a corner to protect me from the gun. I started breathing heavily as I heard alot of gunshots. Neteyam looked around the to see what was happening. Lo'ak shot him. He almost got shot himself, but he protected us.

We both ran to lo'ak again, "Okay. We really gotta get out of here rn" lo'ak said as he turned around to run at the edge of the ship.

"Wait so we're just gonna jump off the ship?" I asked as I looked over the edge. "We will land in the water baby, its gonna be okay" neteyam said as he placed his hand on my shoulder.

I suddenly heard someone move a few feet away. I turned around as I saw someone with a gun. And then I felt the bullet hit my stomach and dropped behind me in the water.

Y/n fell in the water as lo'ak and neteyam yelled her name. "Y/N!" they screamed in sync. She slowly started to sink to the bottom trying to keep her head up, but she wasn't strong enough. Lo'ak and neteyam dived into the water, neteyam swam to her and pulled her up to the surface.

As her head came to the surface, she started choking on the water. "SHIT" lo'ak cursed as he tried to get an ilu. No ilu was coming, but tsireya came on her ilu.

"What happened?" She asked as she got of her ilu to let neteyam on it.

"Y/n got shot" he said with tears dripping down his face. He got on the ilu with her in his arms, bridal style.

Lo'ak and tsireya held on the ilu on both sides as they swam with the ilu. They arrived at a big stone in the sea and they quickly ran up so that neteyam could lay her down on the rocks.

Neteyam quickly put pressure on the wound while she was having trouble breathing. All of the kids that surrounded y/n started sobbing.

Jake came running to the kids sitting on the ground. "What happened?" He said as he sat on his knees next to y/n. He removed neteyams hands and turned y/n over as he looked to see if the bullet went through. It did. There was no way to save her. She was loosing to much blood.

Jake put pressure on the wound again as neteyam put his hands on her cheeks.

"n-neteyam" She tried to speak but she was choking on her words.

"Sweetheart its okay." he said also choking on his words and sobbing in pain,

"i-i see you neteyam" She said as her vision started slipping away and her body trembling.

"I see you y/n. Please don't leave me" he said as he placed sweet kisses on her forehead.

She started choking on her blood, "n-neteyam i"

He had her and in his hand as he felt her slip away, her grip slowly letting go of his hand.

As her final breath was taken away.

Notes: At the beginning of this series Neteyam and Ay'u(oc) are the same age as Aonung, about to turn 18, Lo'ak, Tsireya and Kiri the same age as Naruk, 17. Tuktirey remains only 7 years old. Yes I will play Aonung although I am pretty sure he is not.In this fanfic I have not used any physical descriptions of the reader beyond the normal ones of a navi, but to make it easier to relate to the following fanfics I will replace S/n with Naruk. Naruk will be your Na'vi name. I hope this small detail will not interfere with your reading experience.

While trying to sleep Lo'ak stirs the shell in his hand looking at it and thinking about Aonung's words.

Rotxo and Aonung choke when Lo'ak shows them the shell.

"That's a sumyawne!" exclaims Rotxo in disbelief.

"Beloved shell?" questions Lo'ak.

Aonung agrees crouching down next to Lo'ak and looking at the shell intently "As a form of courtship when a Metkayina man wants to choose a mate he should make a necklace out of this shell. It is usually very hard to find and it is said that only being able to find one is a gift from Eywa"

"Eywa is giving him a sign that he should choose a mate?" asks Rotxo incredulously.

"I think so" Aonung says thoughtfully.

A mate. Lo'ak widens her eyes and bites her lip as the image of Naruk comes to her mind.

Was Eywa telling him that he should choose Naruk as a mate? I mean technically Eywa only gave him the shell but when he thought of a possible mate the only one that came to mind was Naruk.

Lo'ak sighs as he recalls their relationship, how patient and caring she was teaching him the ways of the Metkayina, how she never judged him and even stood against her own brother to defend them. Naruk was the one who always believed in him and supported him, even when he bonded with Payakan, she was the one who was there for him when Neteyam died, she was his biggest support. She never thought his fifth finger was weird even joking with him several times with the argument that it was cute, she was the first to want to meet Payakan and the most affectionate to his excluded brother.

Between jokes and teasing she was the one who made him smile the most and the only one who made him relax completely.

She was also beautiful, he blushed for thinking that way about her but if he did he knew he considered her the most beautiful Na'vi he had ever seen.

His mind flies to how he was the first one she looked for when she finished the iknimaya, how she looked so beautiful when she blushed and looked at him with such love in her eyes. Love. That's what that look was. Love. That look was love. And it was love that she had in her eyes every time she looked at him.

Eywa was right. He would be damned if he didn't make her his mate but there was still a problem. In the Metkayina's eyes he was not an adult and so he could not choose a mate.

At breakfast he remains silent as he continues to stir the ladle in one hand and eat with the other. His family exchanges glances at his son's unusual silence.

"Lo'ak" Neytiri begins "Is there something you want to talk about my son?"

"We are part of the Metkayina now right?" He starts a bit hesitantly.

Neytiri looks also hesitantly at Jake and he replies "Yes we are"

"Then I suppose it would be okay if I chose a woman from among the clan when I complete the iknimaya of the Metkayina"

Everyone's eyes turn to him but he remains unperturbed with his eyes focused on the shell as he analyzes every detail. Consequently his family's eyes fall on the shell in his hand for what he explains.

"Eywa gave it to me" he pauses briefly thinking about his next words "she is a sumyawne the Metkayina wear na on courting necklaces when they wish to choose a mate. She should be hard to find even by diving deep but yesterday I found her on the beach."

Neytiri and Jake exchange glances before Jake clears his throat and speaks.

"We are Metkayina now, it is normal for you to choose a woman from your clan"

Finally Lo'ak raises his eyes from his shell, he knew Eywa was no contest but he still expected more resistance. He expected his parents to question and judge who he would choose, he couldn't believe he was getting an ok to choose any woman he wished. All right nothing would stop him but still the fact that he was free to woo her filled him with happiness.

Lo'ak was so excited to talk to Payakan and tell him about his decision to choose Naruk as a mate that he almost forgot that he had arranged with Naruk himself and his sister Tullik to go to Payakan to celebrate their coming of age.

He waits for Naruk before they both set off together towards the end of the reef, when they get there Tullik was already waiting for them and the three of them proceed to meet Payakan a little further away. They did this to prevent the other tulkuns from knowing that Tullik was meeting Payakan and not expelling her from the gang.

Naruk described her rite of passage in detail with Lo'ak adding a few comments here and there while Payakan and Tullik listened intently. When she finally finishes she stretches and lets herself fall back lying on Tullik's back. The tulkun laughs bringing up a new topic.

"So and have you thought about who you want as a mate yet?"

Naruk chokes getting up immediately with a shade of purple in his cheeks. Why was Tullik asking that question exactly now if she already knew the answer? Of course Naruk had already thought about who she wanted, she wanted Lo'ak and had already confessed it several times to her sister. Suddenly she realizes that everyone is staring at her as they wait for an answer.

"N-no! I haven't thought about it yet"

"In that case you should think about it, I heard several tulkun comment about how their brothers had their eye on you and that some even plan to woo you" a little lie from Tullik but when she looked at Lo'ak and saw him clench his jaw and swallow dryly she smiled knowing she succeeded. Not that it was entirely a lie, Naruk was Olo'eyktan's daughter, talented and beautiful, the tulkun knew that many desired her without even needing to hear rumors.

After that the topic changed again and even though the conversation flowed easily Lo'ak found himself always tense with Tullik's remark, he hadn't thought about it before but as he walked she constantly attracted stares. Lo'ak was so happy that he had finally realized his feelings and Eywa had given him that sign that he forgot to consider that he might have competition. But he was almost certain that Naruk reciprocated his feelings, plus Eywa gave him the shell, she wouldn't let someone who also wishes to woo Naruk find one...right?

Before everyone notices it starts to get dark and Naruk goes back to the village with Tullik while Lo'ak decides to stay a little longer with Payakan. He follows the two figures with his gaze as they walk away and once they are both out of sight he dives in next to his brother and signals.

"What do I have to do to become an adult in the Metkayina?"

Naruk sighs, it couldn't be a coincidence that everyone is asking him about it today.

"Well?" Ronal asks raising his eyebrows.

"I don't know yet" Naruk replies looking down at his food.

"It is important that you choose a companion Naruk" his father refers.

"What about Tsireya?"

"We have already spoken to her. Naruk, we want to know if you intend to choose someone" Ronal speaks with a comforting hand over his daughter's.

"What about Aonung? He's going to be Olo'eyktan and he's already 19!"

"Naruk!" Warns Ronal but she just walks off to get some air making Ronal sigh.

Tonowari places a comforting hand on her companion's shoulder giving her a gentle squeeze before getting up and following her daughter out of the marui.

Naruk sighs feeling the ocean breeze on her face, noticing her father behind her her shoulders slump in defeat and she speaks sighing.

"You guys know it's not just picking any Na'vi right?"

"Naruk" Tonowari begins making her look at him "You have always been an exemplary daughter, you do your duties to the best of your ability, from taking care of your siblings to teaching outsiders, you rarely cause trouble. Both your mother and I will support you no matter who you choose"

Naruk smiles "Thank you."

Tonowari returns the smile by opening her arms to which Naruk responds by hugging him. For a few minutes they are silent as Tonowari clears her throat.

"Of course I would want whoever you choose to be able to protect you, even though I know you can do it alone. I just...just want you to choose someone I feel I can trust with my beloved daughter"

Naruk laughs "Thank you father.

Lo'ak would turn his 18th birthday in just two months, as such he had to immediately begin all the rites, prepare to tame a tsurak and all while making a courting necklace for Naruk.

As he walked towards Naruk he couldn't help but mentally gloat over the idea he had.

"Naruk" he calls out as he approaches her with his ilu.

"Lo'ak, hey. What are you doing?"

"Since I am having my coming of age ceremony in two months my mother asked me to pick out some shells so she could weave something with them for me to wear. I was just about to start looking for them and I was wondering if you would like to help me."

"Sure!" Naruk smiles excitedly "I know of places where there are read shells. Let's go!"

Lo'ak smiles as she pulls him to follow her. After all who better to help him choose the shells he would put on the courting necklace for Naruk than herself?"

It had been about two weeks since Lo'ak and Naruk had started their search for shells, most days it was just the two of them but on some Ay'u and Tsireya would show up to try to help.

Lo'ak was happy that today was another one of the days when it was just the two of them, not that he disliked Ay'u or Tsireya, he just preferred to spend time alone with the one who was going to ask to be his mate very soon.

"What do you think of these?" Naruk asks emerging from the water.

"Let's see."

They both sit on a rock spreading out the shells they had in their bags to begin examining them however Lo'ak quickly finds himself lost in thought as he watches Naruk analyze the shells. He watches as his light blue eyes shift from shell to shell, a peaceful face adorned with a small smile, small loose strands of hair are in his face and his fingers gently stir as they separate the shells. Lo'ak is taken aback when her eyes turn to meet his.

"What do you think of this one?" Naruk asks raising at his eye level a shell of a light spiral pink.

Lo'ak smiles bringing her hand closer to Naruk who holds the shell up to examine it more closely "Do you like it?"

"Yes, it is very pretty"

"Which ones more?"

Naruk smiles and starts pointing out the shells they find most beautiful while Lo'ak mentally points out the ones she likes best.

"It's not like that. You have to twist it to the right first and only then you can pull it up" Neytiri explains.

Lo'ak was about to go crazy, he never imagined that braiding a necklace could be so difficult. He watches intently as Neytiri takes the necklace from his hands to show him how to do that step correctly.

This was possibly the fifth necklace Lo'ak had made since he made the decision to ask Naruk to become his mate on the day of his iknimaya. Even though his mother and sister kept correcting him constantly he could feel himself improving. His fingers braided more skillfully, the knots that had previously made him hell were now done with ease, and he was now able to do far more complex things.

He decided that for the first month he would just practice, using the shells that he and Naruk would collect he went about making several trial necklaces making sure to save her favorites for the actual necklace. At this point he had a routine, waking up early to perform the maturation rites, meeting with Naruk to collect shells and staying late to weave necklaces.

By the end of the first month he had all the shells he wanted.

Neytiri laughed as she watched her son rearrange the shells for what seemed like the hundredth time, she would have offered to help him but he was certainly stubborn insisting he wanted to do it alone, despite this it was good to see him happy, especially since Neteyam's death.

Neytiri had to admit that she was curious about the young woman Lo'ak intended to court since he himself refused to say who it was. She hadn't seen him with many young women, Naruk seemed to be helping him collect the shells so it shouldn't be her. Tsireya? Ay'u? He didn't seem to be that close to any of them. Maybe it was someone he admired from afar and Naruk knew who it was, that worried Neytiri. What if her son chose a mate he wasn't close to? Yet who was she to stop him? Eywa spoke, he must choose the mate he wishes.

Surprisingly Lo'ak was a good apprentice, in only a month he was able to master many weaving techniques and Neytiri was sure he would be able to make a beautiful courting necklace. Even Jake was surprised at what his son had made as Tuk showed the bracelet he had begged Lo'ak to make, which he gladly did as training.

"Ay'u!" Naruk exclaims as she runs to her friend sitting on the beach "What's wrong?"

"Naruk" Ay'u is surprised to see her friend and tries to wipe her tears "I just..."

Naruk sits on the sand next to Ay'u and waits for her to find the words.

"Do you think I have a chance to be your brother's mate?" she asks with tearful eyes.

"Oh Ay'u" Naruk sighs "Of course you will, you've been trying harder than anyone else, it shouldn't be long before my mother calls you to officially be the next Tsahík-"

"Not that!" more tears fall and Ay'u wipes them away with a despondent sigh "Do you think your brother will ask me to be his mate? It's been over a year since our ceremonies"

"Maybe he doesn't know how. Besides you know what he's like! Arrogant on the outside but soft and fragile on the inside"

"He's not arrogant"

"Okay he acts differently with you but the more reason you give me! You're the only one he shows who he really is and whenever he's with you he's nicer to everyone"

"I don't know, sometimes it seems like he gives me signs but...maybe he just doesn't want me"

"Ay'u" Naruk lets out with a sigh thinking about how he could help his friend. "I can try to find out if he has his eye on someone"

"Really?" Ay'u asks raising a hopeful look from the grains of sand to her friend.

"Of course! You are my friend, my best friend. I just want you to be happy"

"Thank you"

Finely a comfortable silence arises between the two as they watch the eclipse before Ay'u returns to her usual mood bringing a new topic.

"So..." just hearing that teasing voice Naruk could already guess what was coming "it's tomorrow that Lo'ak finishes the iknimaya. Do you think he has already chosen you as his mate?"

"Ay'u!!! Shouldn't the question be if I thought he had already chosen a mate?"

Ay'u laughs out loud and Naruk can find his way to his own laughter, it was nice to see that her friend was okay again.

Naruk looks between his food and his family watching Aonung more closely as he speaks.

"So...Aonung have you thought about who you are going to choose as a mate yet?"

Aonung visibly chokes but tries to maintain his composure, meanwhile the eyes of the entire family are focused on him curious for the answer.

"I haven't thought about it yet"

"It's been over a year since you completed your iknimaya it's impossible that you haven't thought about it!"

"I just haven't thought about it yet!!!" Aonung exclaims surprising everyone with his exaltation.

A brief silence falls on the marui before Naruk leaves a final comment.

"In that case I think you should think about it" Naruk looks at her brother with a slightly teasing look "I know of people interested".

She was worried as for a moment she could almost see something she swore was sadness behind her brother's indifferent mask. Without her realizing it her final comment makes Ronal direct a curious look at her.

The second month that was spent completing his missing rituals and making the courting necklace that he would give to Naruk on the day he would complete his iknimaya. His insistence on making the entire necklace himself led to it taking much longer than he had anticipated but he wanted it that way. It would be a gift to Naruk, his future mate, it would be the gift that would make her his mate, and so in his eyes it was something too intimate for others to do for him, even if only to help. His family had helped him learn how to do it, now was the final test and he was to do it alone.

It was worth it.

Lo'ak thinks as he lifts the necklace so he can look at it from all angles. Everything was ready, tomorrow he would tame the tsurak and ask Naruk to become his mate.

I hope you're doing well ! I'd like to ask for an imagine on a subject I've rarely seen.

It would be a "sully family x mom!reader" where Jake and reader are mate (not Neytiri) they start a family, Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuk. In short, the Sully family except it's not Neytiri, but the reader.

And my idea is that in the final battle, instead of Neteyam dying, it's the reader who sacrifices herself to save her family ?

You had fallen in love with the dream walker that your sister had brought home fifteen years ago, and you didn't know you could have a future with him until you did. Jake sully had won your heart and it seems like you won him over as well, as you had taken him as your mate and he had taken you as his wife. Within those fifteen years you had made a life with him having children and having happier but that happiest was not melt to last.

Jake " we have to get to the children"

neytiri " Jake I will help you free the children"

y/n " I can help as well ma Jake and sister" Jake and neytiri looked at you worried to death, you are not a fighter but a healer like you mother.

neytiri " no sister you most stay here"

solider " hey stopped right there" you soon had seen the solider and soon went into overprotective mother mood, and you soon attacked the solider tossing them off board.

y/n " no one is keeping me from my children" you soon followed the sound of cries and those were tuk cries, as you had peeked around the corner you saw the kids.

tuk " daddy aunt neytiri"

solider 2 " stop talking you brat"

soilder 3 " why did you get stuck on watching these annoying kids"

solider 2 " be quite kid once you dad is here we will have our revenge" you had soon came out of hiding as the solider looked at you, they were shocked that navi got onboard their ship.

metkayain kids " y/n" you soon hiss at the soliders as you held your blade ready for a fight, you will do anything to keep your kids safe from harm and their friends as well.

solider 2 " get her" the soldiers were coming at you but you had fought back toss some of them off board and others else where on the boat. Once they were all out you soon made you way towards the kids.

neteyam " mom you came for us"

y/n " yes I did babies" you had freed neteyam some the cuff and soon gave him another blade.

y/n " help me free the others"

neteyam " yes" neteyam and you had freed the others kids from their cuffs.

tuk " mama"

solider " not so fast lady" more rda solider had shown up as you had pushed tuk behind you as the older kids, got ready for a fight. Soon there was sound and payakan had come jumping out from the water and soon landing on the rda solider knowing them out.

kids " payakan" payakan soon had rolled back into the water and swam to the other side of the boat.

y/n " everyone onto payakan right now"

lo'ak " mom"

y/n " yes lo'ak wait where is spider"

lo'ak " they still have him mom we have to help him"

y/n " yes we most but everyone else not payakan now"

neteyam " mom I'm coming with you for help"

aonung " come on tuk lets go" aonung had helped tuk into the water, along with helping his sister and kiri.

rotxo " we will swig back for you three and spider"

neteyam " thanks" rotox and aonung soon dove into the water as well as everyone got onto payakan, who soon dove under water and swam away a bit.

y/n " now come on let go save spider" the boys soon followed after as there is a race tp save spider, the boys had spotted him with some RDA soldiers.

y/n " be safe and don't do anything to reckless" the boys had nodded their head as the trio soon jumped into action, and saved spider from his capture.

y/n " spider I'm happy you are safe we can talk later run now all three of you, we need to get off of here" the boys had nodded their heads and soon run as lyle had come. the boys were helping to fight but lyle was not giving up, soon the three had reached a place to jump into the water.

y/n " go go go now"

lo'ak " yes mom" lo'ak and spider had jumped first and soon there is you and neteyam.

Lyle " hey miss sully and junior sully" lyle had started fighting off his gun towards you and neteyam. You had soon grabbed neteyam protecting him from the danger, and soon tossing him into the water and following after him.

lo'ak " we made it"

spider " that was scary"

neteyam " mom are you okay"

y/n " I'm ... ahhh I think I was hit" the three boys panic as they soon to see blood in the water.

tsireya " guys over here"

lo'ak " help our mom has been hit she needs help" all the kids seem panic as payakan moved quickly, you had been helped onto payakan.

kiri " mom we got you someone called dad tsireya can you help me"

lo'ak " paean please hurry to village or close enough" neteyam was one the com speaking with his dad, as the kids did their best to help you. You felt horrible because of the pain that was taking place, but mostly how the situation was is effecting the kids.Payakan soon reach a beach not the far from the village.

???? " kids" Jake voice had been heard as him and neytiri race towards you.

neytiri " go get your grandmother and norm right now"

tuk " yes aunt neytiri" tuk had ran off with rotxo coming as well, as the group had moved you onto the sand.

Jake " I love you as well and the kids love you as well" you felt like you were getting sleepy as your sister had helped the girls with you, Jake was holding you asking you to stay awake and talking. Soon everything become blank for you, but you had felt happy that you had been able to save the children.

eywa " my child it not time for you to leave this world you are still need"

eywa " one day you will come here but today not the day" Even before you could say anything else, a bright light had over taken you. As you soon open your eyes and jolted open as you began coughing.

????? " honey" you had soon had been talked into a group hug by your kids and Jake, they are all happy to see you are wake and alive.

Jake " you are back you are really back"

y/n " yes I back"

neytiri " thank you great mother thank you" the family was happy to have you back they had explained how you had dead, and they had been mourning your death, until you had come back to life. Everyone saw this as a miracle that you had come back to them, and not you were not going to leave them just yet. You had done anything a mother would have done sacrificing yourself for the welling of your family, as they are everything to you and you couldn't bare to lose anyone else right now.
