You know,I think it's interesting that the only character who had a "redemption arc" in the show was Nathalie of all people.

Gabriel was a selfish bastard right to the end. His last act was using Marinette’s guilt and love for Adrien to his advantage and making the wish he wanted. Sure, he's dead, but he didn't want to live without Emilie anyway.

Felix never actually made amends for everything he did. His goal was always to take down Gabriel. I guess it's true what they say, the enemy of my enemy is, well, maybe not a friend, but an ally.

Nathalie is the only person who turned against Gabriel when she saw what a monster he was. The only one who took a look at her actions and decided "No, this is wrong. I won't be a part of this any longer."

She could have done better, but I guess she wasn't thinking clearly enough for the logical way out. She was dying and living with her abuser after all. That doesn't make for a good environment for rational thinking.

So, yeah. The only one who really redeemed herself is the woman whose name literally means "heartless" funny world we live in, hu?

Huh, I just realized that:

In “Protection” Adrien revealed (to both us AND his father) that Emilie herself told him under which circumstances she and Gabriel met years ago. Rewatching “Passion” today, I realized that this explains Adrien’s shocked expression after Nathalie told him about how falling in love in her youth was... difficult for her:

While Nathalie most likely came into Gabriel’s and Emilie’s lives after Adrien’s parents met for the first time, I see no reason why Emilie would have told Adrien about her and Gabriel having come from two different worlds but never EVER would have spoken a single word of the adventures they went on with Nathalie. At the very least as exciting tales to tell for when her sheltered and lonely 5 year old son came up to her and asked to hear a story about “Maman’s and Papa’s adventures!”

Anyway. Where I’m getting with this is that after the reveal in “Protection” that thanks to Emilie Adrien knows about certain important things of his parents past of which even GABRIEL wasnt aware that Adrien knew of it (maybe never WANTED him to know?)

And that leads to the conclusion that Emilie told him about their adventures too hence why Nathalie was being so casual about her having been a treasure huntress and fighting snakes, but only in “Passion” would Adrien have found out that Nathalie has been in love with his father for THIS long already:

That’s what shocked him.

What other domino effects take place from these two moments is as for now still up to everyone’s own interpretation, but I’m definitely looking forward to see the rest of the season play out to find out what other subtle reveals - but with MASSIVE implications for the Agreste’s - are yet to come x3

I always wonder what will happen to Nathalie if she takes sides with Ladybug instead of Hawkmoth... if there is a prompt to make this..

After watching scenes of Nathalie doing her work as an assistant and a villain with Hawkmoth *cough* aka. Gabriel *cough* who had no sense of fashion in a monstrosity akuma outfits that he send out to people who feels negative emotions.

And seeing her getting her redemption telling Ladybug aka. Marinette about Gabriel's plans after she had gotten very ill.

What if Nathalie decided to quit the minute she heard what Lila say about Marinette who was a sweet girl with her lies about her being a bad influence to Adrien. When it is Lila who is a bad influence towards Adrien then Marinette when she had witness it herself unlike Gabriel who is under wraps with Lila at the moment. As Nathalie expose the plans between Lila and Gabriel to Marinette who came out as Ladybug when encountering her with Chat Noir who was in shock hearing that his own father is a villain and the liar who had the audacity to work with his father to get Marinette akumatized it changed his side of view. As Ladybug did guess it right that his father was Hawkmoth while he was denial at first. And what Nathalie explain to them turns out the ring that his mother wears was an object to his senti-beings. Nathalie did found out that Adrien, Felix, Kagami, and Chloe are senti-beings but told any Marinette aka. Ladybug anyway. Leaving Marinette in shock but she is willing to help Nathalie.

Nathalie deserves a better job then being with Gabriel after what is happening in the shows in season 5. I really did not like how Gabriel attack Nathalie like that on the part where he got both Black Cat and Ladybug Miraculous and made his wish. :(

This has been consuming me it’s all I can think about HELP

School is gone, and that means I have a life again!

Marinette was a gasping, sniffling mess as she got herself some cake and punch. Was she being emotional? Maybe. But she honestly couldn’t help herself. Thankfully, she was able to pull herself together and make her way to the table where her beloved Adrien was waiting for her, along with Alya Cesaire, Nino Lahiffe, and Chloe Bourgeois. As they sat, Adrien had his eyes on his mother and her bride at a separate table.

“I’ve never s-s-seen them so happy,” he said, wiping his tears away.

 “I know,” said Marinette. “Isn’t it wonderful? And what a great ceremony. I couldn’t stop crying.”

Alya chuckled. “No kidding.”

“Yeah,” said Chloe. “You two were blubbering through the whole thing.”

“Sorry, I can’t help it,” Marinette defended. “I always cry at weddings.”

“And this is a very emotional day for me,” said Adrien. “My moms j-j-j-just got married.” He then let out a chuckle. “Moms. Plural. I wonder how long before I’m used to saying it.”

Taking Responsibility: The line between Gabriel and Nathalie

Contains spoilers for Evolution

At the beginning of Risk, Gabriel expressed guilt over Nathalie’s health, to which Nathalie said, “It wasn’t a mistake. I was the one who decided to use the Peacock Miraculous despite it being damaged. I knew the risk that I was taking.” Her words can be interpreted in many ways; as disturbing martyrdom, or completely clearing Gabriel’s conscience, to name a few negative ones. But it also tells us something very specific about Nathalie, and damn, it was high time: she can take responsibility for her actions.

It introduces a wide gap between her and Gabriel, and might be a hidden element in the rising conflict between them. Her outrage in Evolution hits hard not only because of her brutality but also because it calls our attention to the scene in Risk, which happened less than twenty-four hours before this one. Now Nathalie pushes Gabriel in front of decisions truly his, and forces him to face them. But Gabriel is unable to—he shields himself with Ladybug’s trick when Nathalie verbally attacks him, and the episode closes with Gabriel blaming Ladybug (again) for Nathalie's anger. Unlike Nathalie, Gabriel will not take responsibility and that creates a much-needed contrast between them.

The episode emphasizes Gabriel’s bad decisions and his inability to take responsibility for them, calling attention to it more than ever. As it ends up becoming the sparkle creating the tension between him and Nathalie, the writers have to/need to/should deal with it (it smells like a plot point, but who knows). “Why,” “how” and “how much” are the big questions, and they are difficult to answer five seasons in.

After Evolution, I can see two roads for Gabriel's character: Nathalie’s anger and insults could either simply push him further into madness, or push him into madness and then get him to do some self-reflection. Gabriel’s greed, madness, his mistreatment of the kwamis (which is not new) and his disrespect towards Nathalie (not new, but unusual) imply that he is near his lowest point. He is even reduced to a manchild state (visually too, see the ending card of Evolution lol). Taking responsibility and living with the consequences of his actions would be the first step to climbing out of the hole he dug for himself, and I can’t wait to see if he takes the shovel or the rope.

My biggest worry for season 5

Nathalie getting a character development and became a batter person.

MLB Prompt: Gabriel Redemption + Gabenath, Felinette, ChloeXNino

Can we have a prompt for Gabriel Redemption? Here are some of my ideals which involved getting Lila to court.

Gabriel was informed by Chloe through her father's phone telling him exactly what happen in the school and towards Ms. Marinette Dupain-Cheng about his son Adrien and Lila Rossi. What really pissed him off was Lila Rossi tearing a sketchbook from Ms. Dupain-Cheng as he remembered that sketchbook happen to be a comission book after a memory of him reviewing her designs that she gave it to review it.

Gabriel did remember telling Rossi to be friends with Ms. Dupain Cheng since she was suppose to be his future intern in the future but sad to hear that Audrey snatch it from him but he is willing to help her progress and possibly make a company for her designs. He had already given up his goal and remember what his wife said in the past before being in a magical coma for so long. He decided to move on so he gave his Miraculous and Nathalie's miraculous to Marinette Dupain-Cheng who came to his office by accident as Ladybug which really surprised him but feels guilty for making her life difficult.

Gabriel gave a proposal to Nathalie to marry him and she said yes. She has been planning this beforehand maybe she can get some advice or help for her wedding with Miss Marinette.

At the end, Lila was given a pile of lawsuits from celebrities she lied to and to the Dupain-Chengs family with a restrainer order for their daughter Marinette when Chloe told them the truth of why Marinette didn't tell them which really made Tom Dupain upset but Sabine was absolutely livid towards Lila hurting her daughter. And Lila was brought to court to decide how many years of jail until she turn old.

As for Alya her blog shut down by force from her parents who were not very happy with her.

But the rest you can decide for the rest of the class except for Juleka and Rose they have found out that Lila lied after a mild of visiting Prince Ali as a vacation with their family.

Marinette had fallen in love with Felix but now engaged to him as well after that high road advice that Adrien gave her really broke her heart.

Now for Lila's Mother she disown Lila the day she was given a pile lawsuit along with Damocles and Bustier for their neglence and enabling.

What do you think about Nathalie’s redemption?

The term "Too little, too late." comes to mind.

While I do think her love for Adrien is genuine, I think her love for Gabriel blinded her for far too long.

Granted, toxic relationships are difficult to deal with, and its hard to know when you're in one.

Still, I do like that she's finally realised Gabriel is a monster, and seems to be trying to make Adrien her priority.
