I'd always thought Elam was 13 (from this reference post) so headcanon time: he was 13 when he first debuted in the story and turned 14 between that and arriving at Peshawar. Especially since if I remember correctly it took Team Arslan like 2 months, to get to Peshawar.
Arslan finds out later and gifts Elam a little trinket or something. He wants to do something nice for Elam!
Alfarīd has it point on: and this is how I literally view Kaykhusraw. Sorry guys, I just don't like him. Slavery likely existed since Jamshid and Zahhak's times, and has been used to unjust means and horrible ends, and Kaykhusraw himself was enslaved and yet??? He does??? Nothing???? To get rid of the damn system he was also exploited by??? Hello?? Wtf dude???
So yeah, class traitor/hypocrite bastard man. I don't like him. Hmph.
I wonder what Farangis thought of Alfarīd's words, but in relation to Arslan.
No comment, just that I get Daryun's frustrations lol.
Nasreen! She's very beautiful. And the ladies flanking her must be household staff or ladies-in-waiting.
A shooting star! What could it mean?
Looks like Bahman did get mad, Narsus. Though I'm sure Narsus is still partially correct and he left to avoid questions... Hm...
Tears in his eyes. Hilmes must've truly been someone who was dear to his heart— a beloved student, someone who he owed his heart and loyalty to... only to lose the kid in a fiery tragedy. And now here he is.
Elam's face here gives me pause. It's more emotion than he usually shows Arslan (remember how prickly and wary he was?). I wonder what this means. Arslan is being Arslan of course, really considerate of the people around him and everything, and Elam... is nothing if not dutiful. What is he feeling right now to make a face like that? Did being saved by Arslan (and the ensuing conversation after that) shift something inside him? Is he finally allowing himself to feel attached to the prince? I NEED ANSWERS, HOT DAMN.
Self-esteem issues strike again!
I wonder what Alfarīd is doing here, was she putting away/folding her clothes (bc that looks like her bandit garb) or is she taking it out to look at it, lost in contemplation bc remember how the soldiers of Peshawar were like “okay but wtf is a bandit doing in His Highness's company” when they first arrived— and she doesn't have the face paint on.
I might be reading too much into this, especially since she has her face paint and stuff back on when Rajendra's army comes and they prepare to strike back (though one could still argue it's bc she'd feel most confident/comfortable in her “armor” so to speak, the Zott attire and face paint could be some sort of courage-givig to her or smth) but I think this is a fun headcanon to have nonetheless.

The fact that I haven’t drawn the GILFs until now is absolutely unfathomable, so I have rectified that. Nasrin and Namar are just delightful and oh so pretty.

Sunflowers
I bought three sunflowers
at the farmers’ market this morning.
The brawny blossoms
stand in a vase
on our dining table
looking like plate-sized smiley faces.
It’s hard not to smile back.

The sword of the rightful king...
Also, don't the mountains look majorly cool?
Who's willing to bet those gulha and shik were the work of Team Zahhak (pre Zahhak's fall, likely)?
So Zahhak was defeated in Mazandaran... how tf did he end up being sealed under Mt. Demavant?? Did they transport him or???
Interesting that Kaykhusraw was slain in the same place he defeated Zahhak (since his younger son became the next Shah that's what I would have to assume: he lost).
Food ref food ref!
Nasreen! I really want to see more of her. From what I've seen so far she seems to be a capable and gracious lady but man I wanna know more.
I found this cute ngl, look at one of the dudes squeezing his entire lungs to yell!
Pars is not a perfect nation and it's got somewhat of a superiority thing going on, like “you must learn my language but I don't need to learn yours to be educated” type deal, likely common within the upper classes. It manifests in even good people. Brain is not cooperating but yeah. Wanted to point this out.
Slavery exists in Sindhura. Interesting. Iirc South Asia had (has?) a caste system thing which I need to learn more about. Have been meaning to but I kept putting it off—
I swear to Buddha this bird has above-normal intelligence. Love you, Azrael.
I didn't screencap it but there was another instance of her saying she'll stab Hilmes through the heart, the wording specifically included the word “swiftly” iirc, even in vengeance she wants to give him a quick death— she's not interested in drawing it out or torturing him, which is a contrast to Hilmes who uh, has a sadistic trend going on. It isn't enough that Andragoras and Arslan die, they need to suffer as they do. Suffer the way he did. His anger really is... something else.

Okay so i see in your bio that your request is open so here is my request :
Imagine like MC and the whole Satrinava family (including Nadia obv) having some tea in the afternoon talking about anything and out of nowhere MC literally said like “oh so basically I'm dead 3 years ago but my friend bought me back to life” and the whole Satrinava are like “haha what😃”
What would the Satrinava react?
Yeah, requests are still open, even though I have like 50 of them sitting in my inbox. I will do most of them. Eventually. Very slowly. I may or may not feel extremely burnt out, but sometimes a new request can spark something inside me, and I do it as soon as I see it.
This one is quite short, but I really felt like writing something, so I hope you'll enjoy it!
And thank you for the request!
Satrinava family's reaction to finding out that MC died and came back to life
Namar and Nazali immediately want to know everything. Namar would be so amazed and ask for every little detail. As a doctor, Nazali would like to know how the hell that is even possible, but they also find it pretty cool.
Nasrin somehow finds it both impressive and alarming? That's some skilled magician stuff, but this also means that her daughter is dating someone who died and came back to life.
Nafizah already knew it. She just did. That turtle on her head told her.
Navra wants to know about the spiritual aspects. What is it like to die? What happens after death? So many questions.
Nahara would be quite skeptical, and for a good reason, because what if this MC is just some kind of impostor? She would become a little more careful around MC for a while. Just to make sure.
Nasmira would be the sweetest. She'd be concerned about the things MC felt and how certain events, such as their death, their amnesia, and finding out how they died, have affected their mental health. She'd be more than happy to listen to MC pour their heart out.
Natiqa thinks it's cool and asks if this could be used to create a zombie army. She also makes some jokes about it.
There will be a "We're glad you're not dead anymore" party.
