One thing about Arslan Senki is that we have a few characters who aren't Parsian.
So I am curious about Jaswant's reaction to this foreign county's mythology actually being bleeding true. (What kind of implications does this have for Shindhuran mythology?)
n'awwww Jimsa seems to have left the picture after chapter 123, I think this is the last we see of him and he had a horse packed and ready to go.
I would love to have seen Jimsa also swearing at the gigantic Parsian Snake Monster. We'd be learning so much colourful Turanian.
In terms of our heroes in chapter 126
I really need to see Daryun's reaction. I need to know for legal reasons if he is the "If it's real I can kill it, obvs" or if he needs to overcome a "holy shit" moment.
I will patiently be waiting for chapter 127, it's bound to be a good one.
(The downside to this version of the story is there will be no Daryun catching Alfreed on Mt Damavand during an earthquake moment, unless that comes later? I just love him looking out for her)

I just clean my room and find my old sketches. When the hype of arslan senki (hiromu arakawa's version) i love the brother relationship between shapur and isfan. I read somewhere that isfan is the son of mistress/slave of some noble knight, the wife is jealous so she banished the mother and child to mountain. When the legitimate son come home, shapur, he immediately search his lil bro, and find him among the wolves. Apparantly his lil bro survived and raised by those wolves. Shapur then became father-brother-mentor figure to his lil bro, who in turn idolized him greatly. ... well i kinda weak for brothers stories like this (and to hiromu's elric brother too).
The anime nor manga didnt focused on isfan grieve too much. But i imagine he would felt his brother dying, since maybe raised by wolves would strengthened his instinct... but maybe it's only me being dramatic, haha
Isfan and gieve! They really tease me to just ship them together! (Now i think, it like madaraxtobirama kind of thing) they interaction began with gieve provoke isfan (later known that it was a part of narsus' plan to deceived enemy). But then isfan realized that gieve save them from ambush secretly. Some source told me that isfan then has major development in the novel (?) That he would tolerate gieve, because gieve killed shapur as an act of benevolence to avoid shapur being hummilated by the enemy. I kinda sab because despite quite hype (arslan senki), unfortunately, at that time there's not many fic about them...

It's the reason Kishward couldn't/didn't choose to come with Arslan, after all. The conflict of loyalty/duty. Daryun does realize that.
Makes me wonder why Narsus chose to go with Arslan's wishes here. What did he seek to gain?

Hello, why do you ship Merlane and Gieve? I really like your fics for them but I’ve never seen them shipped before and they don’t seem to have much canon material. Thanks for opening my eyes and for the good characterisation.
First of all, thank you and you're welcome :) Welcome to rarepair hell lol!
I first started shipping those two nerds when I read this specific scene from the sixth book in the series:
Merlane had always thought his archery skills is topnotch, until he met Gieve and Farangis. And I always see Merlane as the type who constantly wants to better and improve himself, so that kinda leads me down to Merlane wanting to spar with Gieve and so on and... well, you can see where that went lol
Arslan Senki definitely doesn't have too much of a focus in romance (except for the tragedy that was Arslan/Estelle and the problematic... marriage (?) that was Narsus/Alfreed) but that's okay that's what fics are for :D

Ah, the truth came out. He was just playing devil's advocate with his questions in Part 1, and Arslan's answer just confirmed what he already knew in his heart. It was already evident when he offered to be Arslan's guide, to be honest.
As Farangis's thought bubble said, 'Gieve looks most pleased by this'.
