A/N: This was from my previous re-write blog; I found it lowkey kinda cute so wanted to post it here again before I delete the other re-write blog lol
[9:10pm]
Baby fever. Nari swore she was feeling baby fever as soon as 127 met their small fan, Mali (technically, he was Mark's fan, and 127 was Mali's fan, but specifics didn't matter).
Nair smiled and cooed along with the others, laughing and cheering at whatever Mali shyly mentioned to them or showed. She could tell everyone was smitten with this young boy - including herself.
"Do you want to be an NCT member?" Nari heard one of the members ask Mali. The boy nodded in reply.
"No, no, no," Haechan and Yuta denied. "It's dangerous."
It's dangerous...
Nari felt her heart break at the members' words, spotting the hidden worry and fear in their expressions at the thought of Mali becoming a member - or an idol in general.
She pursed her lips at the sight. She knew what they were thinking of; they were thinking of what she and other members went through from pre-debut until now...
The pressure she received from the staff to become the best of the best, the expectations they had on her because her parents were well-known business people, the hate from the public thinking they were going to flop, haters, sasaeng incidents, the mistreatment she and others would get from the few staff - she understood why the members said no to Mali becoming a member.
While most of them were distracted by hanging out with their young fan, Nari stood in between Haechan and Yuta, looping her arms through each of theirs while pressing a chaste kiss on their bicep. They didn't need any verbal words from her. They knew what Nari was trying to express.
After their fans left, Nari turned to the two again. "You okay?" she asked them.
"Yeah, we're okay," Haechan smiled small, giving her a side hug while Yuta clasped his hands in hers.
"It's just a bit sad how most of our fans don't understand how serious and hard it is to be an idol, the dangers you can get into," Yuta added, squeezing her hands lightly.
"I'm okay, guys. We're okay," she assured them, outing their hidden worry. "I'm going to be fine, you know why? Because I have you all with me, and I'm not going to shut you all out like I did before, I'll be open about my struggles."
"I know, and we're glad," Yuta grinned, leaning down to press a light kiss to her forehead. "Still, you're my best friend, I'm gonna worry about you. Just like how everyone is going to worry about one another."
"Yeah, of course, I'm going to worry over my Noona!" Haechan whined, trapping her in his hold so he could nuzzle his head on top of hers with a pout. Nari laughed at the slightly ticklish feeling from the nuzzle, instinctively shying away from it to no avail. Haechan tightened his arms around her so he could kiss the top of her head happily. Only then, did he let go of her.
"Understandable," she nodded, beaming at the two proudly. "I can't believe how mature the two of you became. And it was so cute to see you worry and care about Mali, that adorable boy."
"Is this what I think I'm hearing?" Haechan gasped dramatically. Before Nari could utter her confusion, the 127 maknae turned to Taeyong. "Hyung! Noona wants a baby!"
"Lee Donghyuck!" Nari yelped, red flushing through her face at her hidden desire.
Taeyong choked on the water he was drinking from across the room.

Winwin had missed Tali, it was when Tali had been with Blackpink for the comeback of As If It's Your Last and she hasn't been home with them for 2 weeks. They have gotten closer over the year thankfully, and he had missed her. She comes by practice every once in awhile well to practice but she has to leave right after.
He rolled around in his bed not being able to sleep. He looked at the time on his phone and pouted as it was late, he walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water when he heard the door open. He looked over confused since he's pretty sure everyone was here and went to bed if not on their phone in bed.
He heard heels which made him even more confused until he saw light brown hair walk past the corridor. Running her hand through hair then shaking her head slightly. He stood still frozen not knowing what to do as the girl still has yet to notice him.
He cleared his throat unwillingly, which she turned to, just to see him looking at her wide eyed. She smiled and waved.
"Hi Sicheng." He smiled at the sound of his name come out of her mouth. He took a deep breathe of relief.
"Hi Talia." His arms opened wide for her to come and give him a hug which she happily did. She giggled which gave him butterflies in his stomach. She took a step back and looked at him.
"Its been a long time." She sighed.
"Yes it has and you are in a fancy outfit." He scanned her up and down to see she has a white shirt with pant suit with black heels with the addition of the blazer.
"Uh yeah, I came to say something to you actually." She walked to the refrigerator grabbing some green grapes.
"Yeah? What is it?" He asked wondering what made her come all this way. She smiled at bit.
"You know that stylist that called you a name for the past what couple weeks?" She asked cleaning the grapes under the fosit.
"Yeah?" He squinted at her suspiciously.
"Well, she just got fired." She turned to him and gave him a flat smile.
"You came all the way here just to tell me this?" He raised his eyebrows at her. She huffed at sat down her bowel of grapes.
"Yes? It great news, she's not gonna call you those names anymore." She smiled while he still eyed her suspiciously.
"That’s not what you said a month ago when she called you fat." He pointed out grabbing a grape.
"Well, she was doing her job at the time." She mumbled pouting a little turning to the counter to eat her grapes. His head snapped to look at her, she mumbled doesn't mean he didn't hear that. He walked up to her and grabbed her face making her turn to him.
"You listen to me missy, you are perfect! You can sing, dance, rap, and you are so pretty. Everyone wants to be you!" He exclaimed, he found it absurd that those words affected her so much. She's literally perfect. Tali looked off to the side and gave a shy smile from all the compliments.
"Is this the part where we confess our undying love for each other?" He asked teasingly.
"Ah Sicheng." She whined, pushing him away by his chest away from shyness. He smiled at her, he's glad he made her smile. She looked back at him and shook her head.
"You've grown confident, that's good. On that note come on lets get you to bed." She pulled him to his room.
"All of sudden?" He asked confused.
"Yes I have a schedule early with you come on." She finished dragging him to his room with Yuta.
"Where will you sleep?" He whispered as he got into bed slightly laughing as Tali tucked him in like he's a child.
"To Marks room." His face faltered a bit from disappointment but regained a smile and nodded. But that didn't go unnoticed by Tali.
"Night Tali." He whispered as he closed his eyes.
"Night Sicheng." She whispered back closing the door. She turned and her face turned into confusion. She quietly walked to Marks room in the process of taking off her heels in the front door as she forgot to earlier.
She was in the front door of Marks room still puzzled. She couldn't figure out why WinWin was acting like that. She remembered back to his teasing comment of confess their undying love for each other.
"No, I must be overthinking things."
She shook her head. No way WinWin likes her....does he? She was now confused, she always couldn't tell the difference between guys being nice or they actually have a crush on her. She's oblivious to that and she knew that, that’s why she has Karma, Hyunjin, Allen, and Chan for that as they are her protectors from men who try to take advantage of her niceness or just men that have a crush on her and know Tali just doesn't get the hint and doesn't like them.
She sighed and walked into Marks room who was surprising to her, still awake.
"Tali?" He looked up surprised. She smiled at him.
"Hi Mark."
"Do you have to go?"
"Yeah its my friends birthday, if I don't I will get a sad friend, and with him." She turned to Winwin with a chuckle.
"I don't to deal with that." She smiled at him. WinWin looked at her a little sad that she was gonna go. They saw a car pull up and the window roll down.
"Get in here you know how he'll get if we are late." Karma yelled while Tali rolled her eyes.
"I know I know. Bye Sicheng" She turned to WinWin giving him a hug, he hugged her tight.
"Yeah, bye" he gave her a flat smile as he watched her get in and leave.
"Well that was interesting." Karma smirked, raising an eyebrow at her.
"Yeah I noticed too." Chan snickered as he started to driving.
"What?" Tali questioned but also knowing what they mean.
"He likes you~" Hyunjin sung as he was tapping handle of the car. Tali groaned while they chuckled.
"I know." Tali huffed puffing out her cheeks.
"We know you know, we noticed that too." Hyunjin looked back smiling deviously.
"Im not dating him." She commented.
"Obviously." Chan mused, teasing her which he always found fun.
"I look single to you or something, I take offense to that." She said offended glaring at him.
"No no, its just your not gonna date till like what 2022?" Karma bet looking at the two other boys.
"Hm.. I say 2018." Hyunjin stated confidently which the other three looked at him like really, you really believe that.
"What? I have hope that our Butterfly will find love." He stated with such confidence that it bewildered Talia since she doesn’t have that kind of confidence in herself.
"Well I say 2020 maybe? Maybe 2022, when Tali is 23 and ready to date probably." Chan said parking and looking back at her.
"Who do you think she'll date?" Karma asked. The boys looked down in thought.
"Maybe one of h-" before Hyunjin could finish Tali's phone dinged. Tali got out her phone and looked at the contact name while Hyunjin just glared at her phone for interrupting him. Her eyes widen a little which didn't go unnoticed by them.
"Well who is it?" Karma asked impatiently.
"Its WinWin the guy that we think has a crush on me." She bit her lip.
"Well first off we KNOW he has a crush on him, so what does it say?" Chan hurried up Tali.
"Ah, it says...I want to see you again, so hurry up."
"Ooooooh TALI HAS MORE PEOPLE CRUSHING ON HER." Hyunjin shouted, while the other two laughed. Tali huffed.
They all know Tali doesn't like Winwin like that, she's not really ready even if she did like him like that. Still doesn't mean Tali doesn't have a bunch of guys crushing on her. Those 4 (Karma, Hyunjin, Chan, Allen and sometimes Miguel) can spot who has a crush or a thing for a Tali from a mile away. They have made bets which boy is gonna confess first or who will get Tali's heart.
Its like a game to them since they were in middle school and when they met Hyunjin when he join the company he joined the betting. Tali has been rejecting people left and right they even have a notebook who has a crush on Tali. X is for rejected, O is for who still like her, / is for unsure probably has a thing, and highlighted in green with their names written beside them means they have either a chance or betting they won't get rejected at least a date.
Does Tali know? No, will she ever know? Probably not.

The Bias List
@avatarfantxsy @quyennie @despairandjo I decided to just list them. I need to make a separate post for bands tho. (that was a lie almost as fat as me) So in this bias list I will only list groups that I listen to. The last bias list I posted there were a lot of groups that I hadn’t listened to yet so this one will just be the groups I know of. I have a few to add, some I have taken off and I will have a section at the end for potential biases. Also some groups have 2-6 biases. For example I literally can’t choose with UP10TION. And sometimes I go back and forth and members in groups so often I’ve somehow tricked my brain into thinking I have more than one. If it’s confusing I promise the first member of each group on the list is definitely a locked bias. Doctor I Need You: Chapter 4
Chapter Summary: Today is the day of the hospital party, you and Taeyong hurry to discharge your last patient until complications arise. Jisoo and Jin has a problem when their patient wakes up mid-surgery. Chief Resident is finally announced.

The clock ticked 10:04, today was the hospital party. Most of the doctors and nurses are off their shift, the remaining are just consulting with their last patient today. You were excited to get a night off since forever.
Taeyong was in the ER meeting his new patient.
“Hello I’m Dr. Lee Taeyong, I’ll be your doctor today,” He greeted the man.
“Yang Oh Seong,” He shook his hand.
“It says you’re feeling chest pains, so I’ll take a quick listen,” Taeyong listened to the man’s heart, “You said you’ve been feeling some chest pain. When did it start?”
“About an hour ago. But can you please be quick, it’s my 10th marriage anniversary today I got reservation at my wife’s favorite restaurant, I can’t be the reason she doesn’t go,” Oh Seong said.
“Your heart sounds good but we don’t take chest pain lightly around here,” Taeyong looked through his charts, “I’ll have our Cardio doctor check up on you too.”
“Are they good?”
“The best. You’ll never find anyone better than her. Bit of a showoff but that’s just how she works. She’s very beautiful, of course she’d probably rather be called brilliant over beautiful,” Taeyong chuckled,
“She sounds good,” Oh Seong said.
“Ok, I’ll get a nurse to do a portable chest X-ray and do a chest pain workup. I’ll try to make it as fast a possible.”

Jisoo was in surgery with Rosé doing an abdominal wall tumor resection on their patient, Park Nari. Jin, as always, sat at the head of the table.
“I think we almost got it all out,” Jisoo praised Rosé, “we’ll finish early at this rate Rosé, hopefully this is our only patient tonight.”
*beep beep beep beep beep beep*
Rosé looked at the monitor, “She’s tachycardic!”
Jin started reaching for his anesthetics, “I don’t understand what happened. Everything seems to be fine here.”
“There’s no bleeding, I don’t see any bleeding,” Jisoo searched the abdominal, “I don’t see a reason why down here so why is her heart rate going through the roof?”
“Did you check her anastomosis?” Rosé asks her.
“I did, everything is intact!” Jisoo panicked, “WOAH!” Jisoo took her hands out the patient,”Did I just feel movement? Tell me I did not just feel movement.”
“The patient’s awake Dr. Jisoo,” Rosé pointed at the patient. Her eyes were opened and she was shaking.
Jisoo looked at Jin, “What the hell did you do? WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO? Get her back to sleep right now!”
Rosé held the patient’s hand, “You must be scared right now, but it’s ok. Just try and breathe for me.”
“Pushing 150 propofol,” Jin put the drugs in her and she went back to sleep.

Taeyeon and Xiumin were done with their shift and having fun on the 5th floor.
“The Chief’s announcing Chief Resident today,” Taeyeon informed ihm
“Who do you think it might be?” Xiumin asked.
“Mingyu, anyone on my service wins,” Taeyeon said.
“No, I think it’s gonna be Wonwoo, he does great on my service,” Xiumin shook his head.
“Oh please, no one from the vagina squad is gonna be Chief Resident,” Taeyeon disagreed, “It’s Mingyu. No doubt.”

Taeyong spotted you in the hallway.
“Doctor! Here’s my patient Yang Oh Seong’s X-ray. I think you should look at it.” Taeyong handed you the charts as well.
You took a look at them and went to Oh Seong’s room.
“Hi Oh Seong, I’m Dr. Y/n,” You greeted him.
“Oh, Dr. Y/n good news?” Oh Seong saw the expression on your face, “Or bad news?”
“Your X-ray is still concerning. I’ll have Nurse Jinyoung to get you up to C.T. to rule out anything serious,” You informed him.
“How long will that take?” Oh Seong asks before he got a text message, “That’s my wife, she’s worried we’ll miss the dinner I planned. What do I tell her?”
“I’m sorry sir you’ll probably be late,” You apologized, “How long have you been married?”
“10 years today. Do you have someone in your life?”
“No, not yet anyways,” You chuckled, “I’ve been trying to look for my soulmate for a while, but it seems like all the guys I like turn out to be…”
“I think he’s closer than you think he is. When I first met my wife, I thought she hated my guts. But today’s our 10 year anniversary, we made it work through all the ups and downs. When you meet your soulmate you won’t know right away, no matter what the movies and books say. But never miss out on a good person because they’re a bit difficult, the good ones don’t come easy,” Oh Seong told you, “Sometimes you fall for someone you’d never expect to fall for.”

It was time to announce Chief Resident, the Chief got up to the front of the room, everyone’s attention to him.
The Chief started talking, “Good evening doctors, I hope you’re enjoying tonight’s party. I have been a doctor for over 10 years, I’ve seen incredible residents grow into exceptional attendings. Every single resident deserves the title of Chief Resident, unfortunately only 1 can. This year’s Chief Resident is Dr. Park Joy, give her a round of applause.”
“WHAT?” Wonwoo yells. Everyone turned their heads towards him, Wonwoo stormed out of the room. Mingyu followed him from behind.
Wonwoo sat down in the middle of the hallway with sadness in his eyes. Mingyu went and sat right next to Wonwoo. Mingyu didn’t say anything, he just sat there with Wonwoo.
Wonwoo broke the silence, “She deserves it, but I’ve been working my ass off since my intern years. I’ve done every pre-op and post-op notes. I always inform the patient’s families on their condition mid-surgery. I am on Dr. Xiumin’s service when my main focus is on Cardio but I let Dr. Yuta have the Cardio doctor because he deserves to learn from the best. But why does no one appreciate me?”
Mingyu took Wonwoo’s hand and held it, “There is no doubt, you deserve it. I don’t know what to do. Right now you’re in the darkness hoping that someone will bring you the light, and I’m sorry I can’t do that. But instead, I’ll promise to sit beside you in the darkness.”
For the rest of the night, Mingyu and Wonwoo sat beside each other in the dark hallway. No words were exchanged, throughout the whole night Mingyu just held Wonwoo’s hand in silent.

Taeyong was walking around looking for you. He saw you in the attendings’ lounge packing up to go to the hospital party.
“Doctor!” He called out, he ran to you, “Oh Seong’s mediastinum looks borderline on the P.A films. Here’s the X-ray.”
“Get a C.T to be safe, do it quick. I don’t want him to miss his anniversary dinner.”
“The hospital party already started an hour ago.”
“Let’s be quick then.”

Jisoo, Rosé, and Jin went to go check up on their patient.
“We finished the tumor resection, we got the entire thing, it went very well,” Jisoo updated Nari.
“Really?” Nari scoffed at them, “What about when I woke up? When I could smell my own burning flesh, I was unable to speak, I was feeling your hands butchering my insides. How well was that?”
Jisoo excused herself and left the room, Jin followed her outside. She had tears in her eyes, Jin stopped her.
“Here’s what we do, I’ll check-”
“What we do? We?” Jisoo scoffed, “My patient is traumatized. The only thing we are doing is getting sued because of you.”
“Why are you speaking to me like that? You have no idea what went wrong in that OR-”
“You want to know what I know? Here’s what I know. I know you’ve worked here for 4 years, I know you had a surgical residency but never did anything with it, and I know you’re an anesthesiologist, so you make buckets of money sitting on your behind, flipping through stupid magazines, while a surgeon is on the other side of the curtain, does the real work and gets sued for it.”
“You have no idea-”
“I don’t know if you’re distracted or tired but I expect to be able to trust the gas man. Trust him to do his job so I can do mine. I expect you to stay awake, no matter how long or boring a surgery may be. I expect you to stay focused long enough to keep the patient unconscious!” Jisoo wiped away her tears and walked away.

You were in the ER going through discharge papers, it was empty, everyone was on the 5th floor having fun. Taeyong ran in.
“Doctor, our patient’s coding in the scanner!”
“WHAT?”
You and Taeyong ran to C.T. where Oh Seong laid there coding. You ran over and felt his pulse.
“V-Fib, hand me the paddles” You grabbed them, “Charge to 200. Clear!”
*PA-THUNK*
“Charge to 300. Clear!”
*PA-THUNK*
His heartbeat returned.
“I’ll get an OR prepped and ready,” Taeyong told you.
“No time. He needs surgery now.”
The 2 of you pushed the bed with Oh Seong to the elevators. Taeyong stood next to you.
“Once these doors open we need to get him in the OR and open him fast,” You tied up your hair, “Even then, if his aorta tears we may be too late. We won't have time to scrub.”
Taeyong pulled out hand sanitizer and gave you some. The elevator opens. The 2 of you push the bed and ran into the OR. Both of you gowned up as fast a possible and started the surgery.
You held out your hand, “Scalpel.”
“Cauterizing now,” Taeyong said.
“Get in quick Taeyong.”
“This guy thought he just had some chest pains, he went from that to this,” Taeyong shook his head.
“How’s his pressure?” You ask.
“70’s and dropping.”
“Every beat of his heart rips this tear a little bit wider.”
“How many of these ruptured dissections have you caught in time to operate?” Taeyong asks you.
“40. Close to 50.”
“How many have you saved?”
“4.”

Jisoo was on the 5th floor, but instead of partying, she was sitting down. Jin ran over to her with a piece of paper in his hand.
“The gas man would like an apology,” Jin hands Jisoo the paper.
“What is this?” Jisoo shook her head.
“It’s Park Nari’s cytochrome P-450 results. She metabolizes anesthetic drugs too fast. There’s no way we could’ve known that before surgery.”
“So this is why she woke up?” Jisoo asked him.
“Yes. Now you don’t have to get down on your knees and apologize but something along the line of ‘You were right. I was wrong. You’re a hell of doctor Kim Seokjin.’ something heartfelt.” Jin chuckled.
“She’s gonna need a second surgery.”
“Alright, it won’t be easy but now I know how to keep her under,” Jin shrugged.
“She won’t let me touch her. I am good with patients, they trust me. But she won’t even let me touch her.”
Jin pulled Jisoo into a hug.
“We’ll figure something out,” He assured her.

You continued operating on Oh Seong, “I’m in.”
*beep beep beep beep beep beep*
Taeyong panicked, “No no no no no!”
“He’s bleeding out!” You yelled, “His aorta is wide open. Clamp! Hurry Hurry! Ok Taeyong, let’s try sucker bypass.”
“It’s not working there’s too much blood,” Taeyong groaned.
*beep beep beep beep beep beep*
“Heart’s fibrillating!” Taeyong yelled.
“I’m doing cardiac massage now,” You started massaging the heart, “I almost got him cannulated.”
“Paddles.” Taeyong stuck his hand out, “Charge to 10. Clear!”
*PA-THUNK*
“Fuck!” Taeyong cursed, “He’s bleeding out his nose and ears. Foley’s full of blood too.”
You were getting frustrated, “He’s D.I.C. his cannula sites are oozing.”
“Push 3 of epi,” Taeyong ordered, “Set me up for another shock. Charge to 30. Clear!”
*PA-THUNK*
*beeeeeeeeeeeeep*
Taeyong looked at the monitor, “What do we do now?”
“Nothing, his aorta is in shreds. There’s nothing left to do. These things are impossible to catch, we’re too late.”
“Then call it doctor.”
There was a long moment of silent between the 2 of you. The long, monotone, continuous beep filling the silence.
“Time of death 12:07 A.M.”

You changed into a black dress, Taeyong changed into a nice suit. The 2 of you made your way up to the 5th floor for the hospital party. Everybody seemed to be having fun, but you just couldn’t get Yang Oh Seong out of your head. Taeyeon spotted you and Taeyong and dragged the both of you to the dance floor.
“Come on Y/n, it’s a break from surgery. Have some fun!” Taeyeon drunkenly said.
“Um...excuse me for a minute,” You left the place and ran off.
You left the area and went into the elevator, going up to the building’s rooftop.. You sat down looking at the sky, the stars were more beautiful than yesterday. The music from the party can be heard from up here. You were a doctor, you see death all the time, but this one was hitting you hard.
The sound of the elevator door opening turned your head, Taeyong walked up to you with 2 glasses in his hand. He handed you one of them.
“It’s iced tea.”
“You should’ve gotten me alcohol,” You groaned.
He chuckled, “Did you come here to look at the stars? Or the moon?”
“Both. People always say that when they find their soulmate, they are the sun to them. But is it wrong I find the moon more beautiful than the sun? I mean unlike the sun, the moon revolves around us. We are it’s universe, it’s world. For the moon, it’s always been just us.”

He took the drink out of your hand and set both of the glasses down on a table. You could hear the cheers from the party as Cosmic Love by Florence & The Machines started playing.
Taeyong grabbed your arms and placed them around his neck, his hands went down and wrapped your waist.
“What are you doing?” You ask him.
“You were so excited for this party, you’re not spending it looking at the sky mourning over a dead patient. It’s a slow song. Dance with me doctor.”
“I can’t. I don’t even-”
Taeyong cut you off, “Don’t worry if you’re not dancing on beat. Don’t worry if you step on my toes. Don’t worry if you look totally stupid. Just dance with me.”
The 2 of you started swaying to the music, your eyes met his. The moonlight bouncing off his face highlighting his breathtaking features.
“Look, just because today you didn’t save this patient, doesn’t mean you’re a bad doctor. You did everything you could.” Taeyong assured you.
“Yeah but... every time my patient doesn’t make it out of my OR alive, I feel a little less extraordinary and a little more...ordinary. And the thought of being an ordinary surgeon frightens me so much. This hospital has an ocean of doctors, but when I get a bad outcome, I just think that maybe I’m not a wave but just a...ripple.”
Taeyong laughed, “Doctor, that is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. You are anything but ordinary. You are a brilliant doctor. When I first met you, yeah I hated you but, I couldn’t help but study how you do your work. You’re so focused, you don’t take crap from anyone, and you’re so confident. No one is better than you, no one even compares to you. You are anything but ordinary...Y/n.”
“Thank you,” you said.
And perhaps it was the music playing, or the enchanting moonlight, or if you’ve been reading too many contemporaries, but you knew this was where he’d kissed you.
His hands traveled up to your face, he tilted his head as he leaned in. His soft, sweet like honey lips crashed with yours. And in the moment, it was like the whole world fell away. He pulled away and your eyes met his.
“I don’t know why, but I think I’m falling for you,” Taeyong slightly smiled.
“That’s just how some things happen, sometimes you fall for someone you’d never expect to fall for.”
He pulled you into another kiss, soft and slowly.

Relationship With NCT 127
The chill older brother with a younger sister that looks up to him and his talent
Together, they are a powerful vocal duo
The Vocal King and Queen in NCT
A very underrated duo
Taeil loves her very much and is one of the few members Nari can truly lean on without having the pressure of being one of the leaders of NCT that the members look up to, and is one of the few members Nari can be vulnerable around
The support and pillar that no one knows about
Nari really loves him and admires him for his vocals - always going to him for tips on how to improve
Always tries to make sure that he gets some attention on the screen and that his solo works are promoted well
Always communicating in English unless they’re doing schedules with members
Because Johnny entered SM before her, he was there to guide her and help her around. He was one of the first people she met, and she’s grateful to have him with her throughout her Kpop journey
Very protective of her, and vice versa
Each other’s hypers
Very close besties, always trying to roast and embarrass the other - but also show support when needed
The older siblings for Mark to look up to

They are actually so close to each other, that their parents consider the other member as their own child (ex. Johnny’s mum sees Nari as her daughter and the same with Nari’s parents toward Johnny)
They entered SM the same year and had similar struggles with dancing and being pressured by the staff, so they became close through that
Really depend on each other, and can be vulnerable to each other without fear of judgement
Nari stuck at his side throughout all his struggles relating to scandals, hate, insecurities and self-hate, and because of that he really cherishes her and would do anything for her
Taeyong is her pillar as well, the one she can lean onto as well if needed
Both are considered the leaders and parents of NCT because of how well they work together and how they treat the members similarly as well
Originally, fans loved how similar they were: in the beginning, they were seen as the 'intimidating' duo
But as the years went by, fans realised that they were not the 'cold, intimidating' duo they were forced to appear as but were two souls who deserve all the love in the world
Both are very grateful to have each other in their lives and be able to grow together in their skills and relationship-wise (and since they’re lovers, it’s further proof and teasing from members that they are the leaders and parents of NCT)
Because Nari could speak Japanese, Yuta clung to her pre-debut, and that’s how they became close friends as well
The only one Yuta confesses all of his worries and fears and is able to express himself freely without the language barrier
The two bonded over the fact that they were foreigners in a foreign country trying to reach the same dream
His top loves are Nari, WinWin, and Mark - but if he had to pick, he would actually pick Nari simply because of how close the two are
They are considered the 'intimidating Japanese duo' because their resting bitch faces are really something
Although Nari is a few days older than Yuta, he acts like the older one, protecting her and making sure she’s okay
Very flirty with each other, and people have mistaken them as couples sometimes, but they’re simply platonic
They learn a lot from each other and are always there to support each other when needed
Despite Nari being older than him, he acts like the older brother sometimes when it concerns her health and safety - he is one of the few who doesn't get intimidated by her cold looks
Since she’s busy being a leader and looking after the other members, she forgets to look after herself, so Doyoung is there to swoop in and nag her if needed
Because of this, she can lean on him if needed without the pressure of trying to look strong in front of everyone
Because of how caring and nurturing the two are when it comes to NCT Dream especially, they are the 2nd set of Parents for them
Outside of being a nagging older brother, they’re quite good friends and love to tease one another lightly (or tease Taeyong hehe)
Very supportive of each other in solo works and encourage one another
Nari helps Doyoung when it comes to his cover songs since she has experience in producing songs, and she can easily arrange things for him
Their vocals together are also 👌👌👌
As most know, for a while Jaehyun was considered the maknae during early pre-debut times - so he was an adorable maknae towards Nari Noona - a very tall maknae
He was quite sensitive and emotional back then (remember the prank they did on him?) so he would go to Nari a lot for some support and love. And although Nari is distant and intimidating, she had a soft spot for the maknae at the time and watched over him
Even as the group grew and they became older, he still leans on her and depends on her - when they’re alone, he especially becomes like a younger brother/maknae to her, and fans absolutely love it seeing him let loose with her (and since he treasures her a lot if someone messes with her…oof, gotta prepare your funeral, guys)
Because of both of their visuals, they tend to be paired up a bit during comebacks and photoshoots, nicknamed Prince and Princess of NCT (though all of NCT are visuals as that one SM staff mentioned hehehe)
Thanks to Nari, Jaehyun’s position changed from being a rapper to a singer because they were hanging out once and Jaehyun started to sing - you bet she went to the staff and demanded that they give his vocals a chance
His baritone voice and her sultry alto voice together 👌👌👌 more reasons to call them Prince and Princess
Despite being younger than her, he treats her like a gentleman that some fans wish that they would date because they look so well together and the fact that he treats her like royalty
They like to be gym buddies as well and show off their abs, lol
Nari helped this adorable mess before he debuted - hyping him up, giving him tips and advice, etc.
Truly looking out for him like an older sister - Doyoung and her are usually the ones to be there for him when he’s feeling emotional. Always there to remind him sternly to not let the people's opinions affect him (or else she will be fighting a lot of people)
She is whipped for him, and he knows it and will use it to his advantage if needed
Always makes her laugh, one of her happy viruses that makes her relax and laugh - and he’s proud of it
Smiles so softly and proudly when she looks at him and when he speaks during interviews - cuz he grew up quite well, character development is 👌👌👌
Thanks to him, she eats a lot (because she sometimes forgets to eat) and gets to try out new foods with him since he loves food - they love going to chicken restaurants as well
You see them try out some places when they tour the US
Jungwoo brings out the soft side of Nari, and fans live for it when they are cute and uwu together
These two are Johnny’s dorks
Yes, she is the older sister to Mark Lee, but at the same time…they’re dorks
Nari is one of the first people he met at SM, so he has a close connection to her just like how she has a close connection to Johnny - so those three are linked together, in a way
They love chilling together, playing the guitar and singing - sometimes with writing as well, Mark helps her to express herself in words
Christian buddies as well, they pray together and talk about their religion together without fear of judgement - support each other in their beliefs
Because of their religious background, it’s another reason that they’re so close - cuz they’re spiritually close to each other as well…if that makes sense…like, no one truly knows them deeply unless you have that spiritual connection…I feel like I’m making no sense so I’m gonna move on, hehe
He looks up to her, and always asks for her opinion, “Noona, am I really leading the Dreamies well?” “You’re leading them just fine, Mark, trust me.”
These two have debuted more than once, they’re considered the Aces in SM/NCT as well

Relationship with WayV
Kun is quite close to Nari since she also helped him when he first came to Korea
Close like siblings - and it's not really clear who would be the 'older sibling' because they treat each other equally. Like, one would nag the other and vice versa, depending on the situation
Since they're quite close and work well together, they are like WayV's parents or the older siblings for the other members
Kun is grateful to have Nari helping him with the leadership role since she has experience and because she looks intimidating in general, it would make people listen to her lol
Both love to chill together in each other's studios to produce some tracks
Kun is the main one out of the two that does the cooking, and he's always happy to cook something up for Nari whenever she comes to the WayV dorm for a visit, or to stay for their comeback era - since he knows how tired and exhausted she can get with many schedules from NCT 127/WayV/SuperM
Sometimes Nari will do the cooking though, cuz even he can get exhausted looking after the other members (you know how chaotic one can be)
Most conversations in WayV go like this:
"Kun-ge, can YangYang and I go outside?"
"Did you ask Nari-jie?"
"...no."
"Go ask her first."
"Nari-jie, can Hendery and I go outside?"
"Did you ask Kun?"
Yeah, when these two are together and in a playful mood, Kun is on his own HAHAHHAA
Ten low-key brings out Nari's wild side - her wild, sexy side
Always hype each other up in whatever they're doing (so, similar to the Johnny x Nari besties relationship, except the sibling part)
They like hanging out together whether to just chill and relax, or do art/dancing together
The two are pretty close as besties, they can talk about anything - even relationships - so if Nari wants to talk about her relationship problems, Ten is there to listen and give advice, vice versa
When it comes to severe situations though, they can become serious and work well together - especially when it comes to helping their members or other people, they work well together
Ten was raised with his mother and sister, so he has major respect for females - especially for Nari. So if something bad were to happen to Nari, he would not like it at all - will fight anyone for Nari
Those two are like, the cliche, chaotic besties that some people would wish to have, but at the same time, stay away from
WinWin doesn't like physical affection much, but just for Nari, he will accept it - especially since she did help him a lot with the Korean language, and always made sure to make him feel comfortable and involved. And there's also the fact that she doesn't show much physical affection to people, so the fact she is giving it to him is an honour. (Fun fact: WinWin found her scary at first lol)
Looks to Nari a lot for guidance and support when it comes to being in Korea and working in Korea - but when they're in China, he's dang confident and is the one more likely to guide and look after Nari since it's more his area
Although he seems 'shy' and 'meek' in Korea, he will defend and protect Nari if necessary - and he's much bolder when in China
When it comes to the younger members like Chenle and Renjun, the two of them really work well together to look out for them - those two Dreamies look up to Nari and WinWin a lot, actually
Nari really loves his dancing, and she and Ten are always hanging around WinWin, wanting to try contemporary dancing
Nari is the one that knows WinWin the most and is closest to WinWin - she is the one that he would go to for anything and everything, and he is one of the few that calls Nari by her Chinese name.
Also, the two love to annoy Yuta when they give each other attention rather than to the Japanese man - they know they have Nakamoto Yuta wrapped around their finger hehe
WinWin knows that he can go to Nari for support, encouragement, and love in anything he does
A/N: Don't have to read it if you don't want to. I'm not going to be writing about him in future posts, only mentioning him here and that's it. The only time I'll mention him is probs for NCT World 2.0, or old posts, but that's it.
Lucas really acts like a younger brother when with Nari - lowers his guard and really clings onto Nari and wants to hang out with her like a younger brother
The only time he seems 'older/mature' is when Nari's life is in danger or is threatened or something - he kind of becomes her bodyguard, lol
People actually see him as just a 'giant goofball', but Nari knows the true Lucas who is very passionate, caring, and thoughtful about the things around them
So whenever they're doing an interview or something, Nari makes sure to speak up about how Lucas is more than just his looks
Whenever they do variety shows together in China, he's always looking out for her and making sure she's doing okay
Modelling duos - the only one Lucas will acknowledge who has higher visuals than him loloolololol (either that, or he faces Nari's wrath cuz she knows for a fact that she has visuals)
“I am the most handsome in NCT/WayV, but Nari is the most beautiful one. Together we are BOOM!”
You know how Xiaojun found Yuta intimidating? Same when he met Nari. Nari first met him when she was walking past a practice room and heard his beautiful vocals and original lyrics; he was a nervous wreck at first when she approached him but warmed up to her soon enough.
The two love listening to movie soundtracks together, as well as songwriting and producing music
One expresses their true thoughts and feelings through songwriting, so the two know each other's inner thoughts quite deeply
He really leaned on her when they debuted, always looking at her and listening to her tips and advice, sometimes hiding behind her if someone says something rude and would silently encourage her savage side to come out
At the same time, she's also like a nagging mother to him when he's not doing the right things - like eating snacks instead of proper meals or playing too many video games with YangYang
“I told you two to clean your rooms!” “It’s not like you live in there!” “And I don’t want you guys running to me asking where your stuff is, because you can’t find it among your messy room!”
We all know how clumsy he is, so you bet Nari is always hovering around, trying to look out for him and make sure he doesn't hurt himself or break anything in her tsundere way
He, in turn, helps her with songwriting, singing, and just being there for her when needed
Sometimes his weirdness concerns her, but at the same time, he can bring out the weirdness inside of her. She wishes sometimes that she could be like him and show her true self rather than the cold appearance she gives out all the time
Since he already has three older sisters, it's easy for him to lean on Nari and treat her like family (though to be honest, he finds himself closer to Nari than his family by JUST A TINY BIT, and that's only because she understands the struggles of being an idol with him)
But to be fair, he is quite close to her because when they were on Dream Plan and Hendery's ranidaphobia (fear of frogs) was shown, Nari was one of the main members that helped calm him down and yell at the staff - and you know when someone helps a person when they're vulnerable, you tend to have that closer connection with them...if that makes sense...
Yeah, Hendery is someone Nari definitely has to help Kun watch over with his craziness lol - poor Kun when Nari actually joins Hendery in the weirdness...
Hendery really admires how hardworking Nari is, and how much she helps NCT/WayV, he definitely looks up to her and finds himself sometimes seeking her approval in things he might be doing whether it's his rapping, singing, dancing etc.
Nari really likes his rapping and dancing though and finds herself going to him a lot when they record WayV tracks and comebacks, asking him how to do certain things that he is good at
Hendery feels quite happy and proud being able to be the one to help Nari when she asks
He's not as obvious as other members, but he is pretty protective of Nari and will protect her when necessary
Don't put YangYang and Haechan in a room together with Nari - they will annoy her so much that she will somehow find a way to disown them if necessary lol
Soooo mischievous towards Nari and Kun (but also include Ten who constantly calls YangYang his baby lol), they truly look like parents when looking after YangYang in WayV
But he does listen to Nari more than Kun, so when being spoken to seriously, he will listen to Nari. (Her intimidating looks helps her)
In all seriousness though, he felt touched when he found out Nari was learning German off to the side to have something in common with him for just the two of them - invited her to join his German classes in SM so they study together even though she is a bit behind compared to him
You bet both of them snickered when they would teach the other members sentences that weren't actually the sentence the members wanted to learn kkkk
When it comes to serious things, of course, he will listen to her and follow whatever she says - whenever they're somewhere new, most of the time he is right at her side, staying close to her - will full-on hide behind her small form if necessary lol
And since he is basically like another kid of hers, of course, she will protect him like a Mama Bear - and he would protect her back if necessary.

Doctor I Need You: Chapter 5
Chapter Summary: It’s been a week since the hospital party, you and Taeyong started dating. When the 2 of you get a criminal patient, you both don’t agree on how to treat him. Jisoo faces a possible lawsuit from Park Nari as she still refuses to let Jisoo operate on her. Joy has back-to-back surgeries all day and asks Wonwoo to cover her Chief Resident duties.

“No kissing in the hospital,” You scold him, “You may kiss me all you want outside of the hospital but in here, I am just another doctor.”
Before Taeyong could give you another kiss, Taeyeon shoved the patient papers in both your faces. The 3 of you started reading on the V.I.P patient.
“Blackwell? As in the prison?” You ask.
The Chief came up to the 3 of you, “Have you read up on our V.I.P?”
“Yes,” The 3 of you say unison.
“Multiple stab wounds, badly beaten. She will have guards with her at all times. Cuffs will stay on, leg irons will stay on. Watch your syringes, sharps, and pins. I don’t want any accidents.”
*beep beep*
“She’s here,” The Chief said, “The 3 of you are my team. No residents. Keep this as quiet as possible.”
“Chief, what’s P.D.R?” Taeyeon asked.
“Get her in and out of trauma as fast as you can. The guards will attract a lot of attention.”
“Sir it’s stamped P.D.R. What is P.D.R?” Taeyeon showed him the paper.
The Chief hesitated, “Prisoner...death row.”

Jisoo and Rosé were talking to Park Nari. Her lawyer sat next to her.
“I understand your hesitation but you need a second surgery.” Jisoo said.
“Haven’t you put me through enough-”
Her lawyer stopped her, “I can make some calls, see if we can get you transferred to another hospital.”
“It’s been a week. Transfers take time, the longer we wait she’s at greater risk for infection and blood loss.” Jisoo explained.
“I couldn’t talk. I couldn’t move. The thought of your hand back inside me…” Nari looked at Rosé, “But you can do it.”
“Wh-What?”
“You were there. You stayed calm. You were kind.”
“Oh but Dr. Jisoo is far more experienced-”
“No. She’s not touching me,” Nari refused, “Promise me she won’t touch me. You can do it. She can’t.”

“Ms. Son Soojin can you hear me?” You ask.
“Your voice is very lovely,” She moaned in pain, “My legs really hurt. Was I stabbed there?”
“No.” Taeyong bluntly replied.
“If I wasn’t stabbed in the leg why does it hurt so much?”
“The less you talk the more we can work-”
“Taeyong!” You cut him off.
“That’s alright. He’ll warm up as we get to know each other,” Soojin chuckled, “See, we’re not that different, you and I. People are alive when they meet us, then it all changes.”

“2 days ago there was a code in room 2049 and no resident to cover it,” The Chief scolded Joy, “the schedule is a mess, your mess. Clean it up.”
The Chief walked away to tend to his work. Wonwoo walked up to Joy.
“Wow, Chief had on his stern face.” Wonwoo chuckled.
“I was really happy this morning. Wanna know why?” Joy asked, “Because I have back-to-back solo surgeries today.”
“Your face is telling me you want something.”
“Will you cover for me? Just do the Chief Resident thing so I can stay happy? Just for today. Please, please, please.” Joy begged.
“You want me to-”
“Be me. But, better. Be you.”
“Fine.”
Joy walked off to O.R. 4. Yuta walked over to Wonwoo.
“Do you know where Dr. Y/n is? Ugh, she hasn’t been giving me any surgeries for a week now. I think she still secretly hates me.”
“Um, Dr. Joy told me to tell you to find another specialty.” Wonwoo said.
“What?”
“Yeah, find another specialty. Go work in the ER, test the waters. Or here,” Wonwoo shoved a chart in his arms, “Discharge this patient.”

Mingyu went to check in his face lift patient, Yoo Yeona.
“What’s up Yeona, let’s get you out of bed, get you mobile.”
Yeona moaned, “No I’m too much pain leave me alone.
“Well the best thing for pain is to get you out of bed and get you moving. You’ll feel much better.”
“I will feel much better if you leave.”
“Yeona-”
“Stop scowling. You can scowl later when you actually have something to scowl about. Like when you get fat and can’t move. Right now you’re young, you should be having fun. Go! Enjoy your life, you getting uglier by the second.”
Mingyu left the room.

Yuta went to check on his patient, Min Hwan.
“Hey there Hwan, how’s it going?” Yuta asks
“By ‘how’s it going’ you’re asking me if I had the pleasure of taking a crap yet, then it’s not going.” Hwan groaned.
“It’s been 5 days since your bowel resection, you should be-”
“Crapping by now? What’s the problem? Did you people botch my surgery? Is my crap leaking out into my body?”
“The surgery was a success-”
“Listen, Dr. Yuta, I have been divorced twice, my children hate me, filed for bankruptcy, my life has basically sucked. But through it all, the one thing I had going for me was I crap like clockwork. It’s a simple pleasure and I want it back. So write me a prescription to make me crap!”

Rosé and Jisoo started scrubbing in for Park Nari’s second surgery.
“You know, there’s nothing in the rule book that says you can’t operate once she’s under,” Rosé informed Jisoo.
“No. If she wants a resident to do her surgery then a resident will do her surgery. I’m not operating on a patient that doesn’t want me to operate on her.” Jisoo handed Rosé the surgical mask, “Look. I wouldn’t let you operate unless I know you can handle it.”
“I could perforate her bowel-”
“You won’t!” Jisoo cut her off, “I will be in there with you the whole time. Look, I don’t waste my time on mentoring just anybody. Finish scrubbing in, you have a patient waiting.”

“Ahh!” Soojin screams in pain.
“I don’t get it, she’s still in a lot of pain.” You shook your head.
“It’d help if we could get her off this backboard,” Taeyong said.
“She’s got decreased sensation to her lower right extremity.”
“According to her,” Taeyong scoffed, “She could tell you anything.”
You ignored him, “We put 10 of morphine she can’t be in this much pain.”
“Maybe push a little bit more?” Soojin asked.
“We’re here to treat you, not to feed your drug habit.” Taeyeon said.
The door opens as Jinyoung came in with the X-rays. You took a look at them.
“Dr. Taeyeon,” You called her over and pointed to the X-ray, “What’s that?”
“Whatever they stabbed her with is still in there.”
“Her back?”
“Her spine.”
Soojin laughed, “Does that mean I’m paralyzed? My execution is in 4 days, but if I’m paralyzed, my lawyer might be able to make a case for staying my execution. You guys think you can let me be a gimp?”
“No.” Taeyong replied.

Rosé had been doing just fine at her solo surgery so far.
Jisoo looked over to Jin, “Everything look good?”
“B.P’s stable, BIS level’s 45. She’s still asleep just like the last time you asked. 2 minutes ago.”
Rosé continued with the surgery, “Anastomosis looks clean. Bowel’s intact”
“Get a new mesh,” Jisoo told her.
“Oh by the way, I don’t read stupid magazines in the O.R.” Jin said, “Before I was reading an article on anesthesia. In case you were wondering.”
“I wasn’t”
“I actually don’t like the sitting down part of my job. Not great for by back, I like to keep in shape, so I can carry my big buckets of money.”
Jisoo rolled her eyes, “I yell when I’m scared. Some people cry or duck, I yell. When she woke up it was scary, so I yelled. Then I yelled some more, it’s what I do.”
“Was that your apology?”
“Closest thing you’re gonna get.”

Wonwoo opened O.R. 4 where Joy was having fun with her solo surgery.
“Dr. Joy, can I talk to you for a moment?”
“I’m in the middle of a shattered femur, thank god for men who ride motorcycles.” Joy laughed.
“Uh, there’s some scheduling issues you have to deal with,” Wonwoo informed her.
“Can you handle them again? Thanks!”
Wonwoo walked out of the O.R, Yuta walked up to him.
“I need to talk to Dr. Joy, my patient won’t crap and won’t stop talking about it.” Yuta complained.
Mingyu spotted Wonwoo, “Hey is Joy in there? My face lift won’t walk. She’s abusive I can’t work with her.”
Rosé ran up to them, “I’m done with my patient but I’m not sure if I can discharge her if she files a lawsuit.”
The Chief spotted the little group in the hallway, “Is there a problem here?”
“Uh no, just a little jam. Dr. Joy has it under control,” Wonwoo assured him. The Chief nodded and walked away, “Ok, this is what’s gonna happen. Put crap man and face lift in the same room, they can abuse each other. Rosé, your patient can stay another night. And if anyone asks, none of this was my idea.”

Jisoo found the Chief in the ER watching everyone do their work. She walked over to him.
“Hey Dr. Jisoo. How’d the repair go?” He asked her.
“Perfect. No complications.” Jisoo replied.
“That’s good. How’s the lawyer?”
Jisoo laughed, “Lawyer’s still here. Drooling.”
“Shit.” He cursed.
“Tough day Chief?”
“Yeah.”
“You know 9/10 times, you can make a lawsuit go away if you apologize. People like to feel respected and they like hearing apologies.”

You, Taeyong, and Taeyeon took a closer look at the X-ray.
“We’ll do everything by the book. I don’t want some lawyer keeping her alive on the basis that we didn’t giver her standard care.” Taeyong ordered.
“You’re pro-death penalty?” You asked.
“I’m pro-punishment.”
“She’s still a person, we don’t know what crime she committed. We can’t judge-”
“No. But a jury can. Go do a repeat crit. Let me know if she needs blood,” Taeyong ordered you.
You rolled your eyes before leaving the room.
“I thought you 2 were dating,” Taeyeon pointed in confusion.
“No, in here we’re just doctors.”

The Chief looked around for Wonwoo and spotted him going over discharge papers.
“Wonwoo!” He called out, “Do you have any idea why Park Nari is still here?”
“I believe Dr. Joy decided to keep her here another day.” Wonwoo replied.
“Why would she do that if Dr. Jisoo was ready to discharge her?” The Chief asked.
“You’ll have to ask Dr. Joy, but if was me I’d keep her here another night to try and talk her out of the lawsuit.”
“And why did Joy have Mingyu and Yuta put their patients in the same room? That’s a clear violation of protocol.”
“You’d have to ask her. But those 2 were impossible, neither one was willing to follow post-op instructions, so if it was me, I would put them both in the same room to encourage each other to get out of here faster.” Wonwoo explained.
“And Dr. Joy told Yuta to find another specialty? It’s odd to tell someone who’s so adamant about Cardio to change specialties.”
“Again, you’d have to ask Dr. Joy. But maybe it has to do with the fact that Yuta is still a bit unsure about Y/n. So Yuta needs to see what else is out there, otherwise he won’t fight hard enough to stay with Cardio.” Wonwoo shrugged, “But I’m just guessing. You need to ask Joy”
“That’s just what I’m gonna do.”

(Play A Bitter Day)
Joy had just finished her 4th solo surgery of the day. The Chief had been waiting for her.
“Dr. Joy, you got a moment?” The Chief asked her.
“Uh, I don’t actually, I have 2 more surgeries today. But I know the schedule’s been a little crazy. I’ll get on it tonight.”
“No. You’re not, actually.”
“Yeah, you’re right. It may not happen till tomorrow but uh-”
The Chief stopped her, “You’re not gonna get on it at all.”

You and Taeyong continued to check up on Son Soojin.
“Is there any family we can call or-”
“I think what she’s trying to say is, what did you do to get on death row?”
“Taeyong!” You yell.
“It’s alright.” Soojin chuckled, “This one thursday, I was on a date with my boyfriend. We went back to his place and did usual date night stuff. Then he fell asleep, I for some reason couldn’t. I just really wanted to draw a knife across his throat. I had been thinking about it for a while, then this thursday, I just had to do it. I thought it’d be scary or sad, but it wasn’t. It was just...really fun. Then I did 2 more on Saturday, and another 4 on Sunday. Was gonna go for 6 on Monday, until I got caught.”
You and Taeyong left the room to prep an O.R.
You stopped him, “I tell you to treat me like a doctor here, but do not ever speak to me like I’m a resident. And what is going on with you today? Soojin is still a patient here, treat her like one.”
“No.”
“Excuse me?”
“I will not be kind to the killer who thinks we are 2 sides of the same coin. And if you want me to treat you like a doctor, then you act like one. Stop making friends with patients, stop acting like you’re their babysitter. This isn’t psychology doctor, that’s on the 5th floor. Stop confusing the 2.”
The 2 of you walked in silent all the way to the O.R. waiting for the nurses to bring your patient.

Wonwoo was at the front desk filling out some papers. The Chief went over to him with crossed arms.
“Dr. Wonwoo, you’ve been covering for Dr. Joy.” He started.
“Chief, I’ve just been shuffling a little paperwork for her-”
“You’ve been doing the lion’s share of the Chief Resident’s work. All the responsibility and none of the credit. You deserve the credit. You deserve the job. I should’ve given it to you in the first place. I hope you’ll take it now.” The Chief offered, “Because what you do and how you do it makes this hospital work.”
“Well, it’s about time you noticed.” Wonwoo looked away, “‘Cause…”
Wonwoo turned around and gave the Chief a big hug.
“Thank you.”

You, Taeyong, and Taeyeon started surgery, it was ghost silent. You and Taeyong couldn’t even bear to look at each other.
“So did anyone catch the game last night?” Taeyeon tried to start conversation.
“You know you shouldn’t even be on this case,” Taeyong snapped at you.
“Oh what’s she gonna do, jump off the table and get me?” You sarcastically replied, “I’m the one holding the knife.”
Taeyeon was uncomfortable, “Um, we’ll be doing a nephrectomy. One of you should mobilize the renal hilum.”
“I’ve never done one, but I’d love to try,” You said.
“Yeah because a nephrectomy is a trauma procedure, I’ve done it hundreds of times.” Taeyong pointed out.
“Well to some of us, surgery comes naturally, others have to practice,” You shot a look at Taeyong.
The 3 of you finished up the surgery successfully and cleaned up. Everyone’s shift was over as the doctors packed up their items in the attendings’ lounge. You got your bag and headed towards the door, Taeyong opened it for you, you made eye contact before quickly leaving and not looking back. And just like that, the 2 of you were strangers again.
