No really I think I cracked something here. We all look to what mytho might've possibly but we aren't sure been like before the show and, because that is unknown to us, treat him as a character we do not know, but we do know him don't we? We know plenty about him we just don't look at what's in front of us.
It's the same thing that caused him so much harm in the show- no one really saw him.
Except Ahiru, of course.

Cthulhu Mythos and Esoterrorists
So there is this ttrpg called Fear Itself and Esoterrorist right? Written by Robin D. Law who created the gumshoe system for Trail of Cthulhu and Fall of Delta Green, great games and great system.
In the universe of Fear Itself and Esoterrorists, since they are a shared universe lets call in the Outer Dark mythos. The reason for that is because there is this supernatural force called the Outer Dark. It is the veil between conventional mundane reality where things like physical and material laws exist and the otherside being looser realities, the possibility of having supernatural insight and abilities. The only way for this to be achived is by loosing this veil or barrier, and to do this you must create or cater around belief or consensus reality. Here is where the esoterrorists come into play, they want powers beyond scope and are willing to do anything to obtain it. They believe that strong emotions like fear and superstition/paranoid are good conduits to this Outer Dark and so they promote conspiracy theories and hoaxs to create insight into this reality. The downside to this is that it allows ODEs or Outer Dark Entities to seap through and take shape into various forms. Much like the Fears or Entities from the Magnus archive, they take shape of common or unconscious fears and anxieties. These fears are basically violent incursion on reality and deeply enjoy pain and suffering, they feed on fear and will do anything to prolong it. So naturally these Esoterrorists usually end up worshipping these fears in a cult like structure to ensure they can achive there desired goal as long as they ODE gets what it wants.
In the Esoterrorists game and universe the player characters are a group know as the OV or the Ordo Veritatis (Order of Truth?) these are investigators and agents who actively fight against esoterrorists and contain or bind ODEs, to do that they must demystify the being, find or study its weaknesses, or simply put it down the old fashion way with various ballistic options.
What does this have to do with the Cthulhu Myhtos? Well the Cthulhu mythos is popular for many reasons, one of those being the tabletop roleplaying community and its various games on the subject, Call of Cthulhu and Delta Green being prominent examples. What I like so much about Modern Cthulhu stories and games is how there recontextualize the mythos to modern beliefs and various folklores and urban mythologies that exist either obscure or common. Lovecraft I think is a better writer then people give him credit for because he created characters and worlds where egyptologists and genealogists are common enough for specific eldritch abominations to exist based on there specific fears and anxieties.
Of course Nyarlathotep was once a vessel for a forbidden and cursed pharaoh, in an western egyptologist brain that has been infected by a alien memetic virus that would only make sense.
Of course a sea captain from the turn of the century and from an imperial core nation that has no knowledge or sense of Micronesian folklore or beliefs would think of local spirits and deities as monsterous sea beasts. When you see a leviathan during your time in the merchant navy and your mind is so wretched from war you imagine a civilization of fish people that are waiting and hunger for the surface dwellers to tire themselves from endless conquest.
These characters see horrors that can not be appropriately translated and so the closest analog they have is horrific monsters and that allows the veil to weaken and this invites demons into there homes. This is where I think the Outer Dark and the Cthulhu Mythos meets.
I would be interested to see how modern internet creepypastas and monster are shaped by modern fears and anxieties. In a unrelated tangent I have always seen Trevor Hendersons Siren Head as being a manifestation of alienation that is common in modernity, a creature or being of which you can not tell apart from light poles, electrical wires, or cell towers. Something that stalks you and studies your behavior, you are both alone and hunted in your own neighborhood or city scape. Maybe something I could use for a Esoterrorists game or Fear Itself?

Artig is a unique being. They're a mere Cat, but at the same time he's so much more. He's become a being long past their expected life span, one who's gained higher knowledge and capabilities. They've also become a Nekomata, after having traveled a long while and facing a death-scenario when he traveled into Japan.
What had begun as an oddity that no-one could pin down how it came to be quickly developed into an inate power. One that he didn't even understand for the longest time, but now he's not only come to understand it, but he's enhanced it further. Partly by learning to hone it himself, and partly thanks to an artifact that he not only had comissioned be made, but took part in it's creation.
Artig has come to use a rather simple name when referring to the power he has.
Schrodinger's Lives:
Artig has nine "lives".
At the end of every 72 hours, Artig will regain one "life", up to a maximum of nine.
Each life is signified by a small, circular mark under his eyes, with four under his left eye, four under his right, one being set between.
When sustaining an injury, it will both exist and not exist, not physically effecting him, while being visually present and appearing as if it has a transparent layer of television static over top of it.
From the time of sustaining an injury, Artig has 60 seconds -one minute- before the injury properly takes hold on his body and the static clears as he is subject to the effects of the injury.
If Artig looks at the injury during this one-minute period of time for more than 6 seconds, the wound will take hold immediately.
If Artig can hide the wound completely for 60 seconds, it will be undone, rendering the damage null.
If Artig fails to hide the injury completely, he can alternatively find it visually, look at it for 60 seconds, then close his eyes and will it to heal throughout another 60 seconds. If interrupted or his eyes open, the healing is undone.
Each time Artig nullifies a wound like this, should the wound be something significant (ex: cut or stab from a bladed weapon, a gunshot, broken bone, etc.) one life will be exhausted.
Should the wound be insignificant (ex: paper cut, scrape, bruise, twisted joint) a life will not be exhausted.
If Artig is killed while he has a life, he will regain consciousness one hour later, regardless of the state of his body, as all damage is undone.
When a life is expended, the marks signifying them will alternate as they disappear. The first from the far left, second from the far right, third from the left, fourth from the right, and so on until the one between his eyes remains as the ninth.
Artig, earlier in his existence, only had three lifes to begin. Over time he gained more as he grew, and by the time he was fully grown he had six of his lives. After which his death that caused his transformation into a Nekomata granted him two more. He would gain his ninth upon creating the Artifact which he carries on his person at all times now.
Welt-Mod:
Welt-Mod is a highly modified Gameboy Advance system that Artig had found, salvaged parts for, and upgraded throughout the years. Over the years he's upgraded it's internals while keeping the Glacier transparent shell it it was originally in. Things like stronger power sources, backlit and higher quality screens, higher quality speakers, better buttons and supports for them.
Though, eventually it would become an entirely new device of his own make. One that, through the aid of technology made by Humans and Mythos both, and some Magic, could be best described today as a miniature computer with a custom operating system. Though it would only become the Artifact it is considered now after Artig sought out some of the strongest Artificers he could find among Myhtos communities.
Gathering a group of the best, and getting all of them to agree to meet for this commission, Artig laid out his desires for the enchantment that would turn this heavily modified device into the Artifact it is now. His desires for such being:
That it would be bound to his mind, body, soul, and Aether. Meaning that, without Artig alive, the Artifact will not function, essentially resulting in it malfunctioning when he dies with lives remaining, and it's complete nullification upon his proper death.
That it could interact with the real world, able to form indicators of what he was doing, grab and move items, store items, and produce stored items back into the world.
That it could break or repair objects in the real world, in real time, with a modifiable shape and size of what is removed or repaired.
That it would allow him to edit stored objects freely, changing things such as color, shape, or state of matter, though not being able to completely change what something's base materials are. Ex: unable to change metal into gold.
That it would allow him to combine stored items to create new items, as long as the items could properly be utilized together like they are in Reality.
That stored objects would be kept in good condition, such as foods and drinks essentially being refrigerated, perishable foods kept fresh, etc.
That he could use it to save a state of his own existence, and return to the save state within one minute of the creation of the save state.
That it could be used to keep track of his lives, as the method of keeping track that is present on his body is not something easily visible to himself.
That the Artifact itself would provide Artig a ninth life, meaning that if it were to ever be destroyed while he remained alive, he would return to his natural maximum of eight.
That he could still use it as a regular technological device, at this point equiped with a pair of joysticks, full face buttons, bumpers and triggers, touch screen, a Micro SD Card port, Headphone jack, and USB 3.0 port.
That the Artifact would be linked to a ring that Artig owns and wears, allowing him to store the power into the ring, rendering it unusable, so that he can continue to modify and upgrade the device and return the power to it from the ring.
That the Artifact, and the ring linked to it, can both be utilized as Magic Focuses. Granting Artig not one, but two powerful items that would be able to amplify and focus Magic that he wishes to use, boosting his Magic capabilities significantly.
Being linked to Artig, both the Artifact and the Ring it's linked to are invulnerable to the vast majority of regular forms of damage. It is resistant to a significant amount of Magical damage as well, due to the sheer power of the Artifact itself. Though some higher tier Magic, and extremely powerful forms of non-magical damage, can damage or destroy the Artifact when directly applied.
The Artifact can not effect living beings directly, though it can move objects that living beings are on/inside of. Though if a living creature is inside an object, the object can not be stored in the Artifact's "Inventory". The Artifact only has a range of 20 meters (60 feet) in which it can effect the world around it.

I knew Fakir/Mytho wasn’t gonna happen but it still hurt, shipping crack ships while I still watch something is trash, -1/10 wouldn’t do again.
Mytho/Ahiru was just really a shock for me tbh. idk why, everything pointed against it, I was just blind apparantly.
Not to say I don’t love the show or the other ships!! I do, I’ve been crying for an hour over episode 25 (yeah, I am actually not done so no spoilers pls)! Excuse the doodly style, it’s 3 AM and I just needed to get my emotions out about both of my main ships being deader than dead.

A fic where the Queen members were ancient deities would be awesome!!!!
I agree! And maybe if I can think of a plot then I might toss it on the Offical WIP list.
Or if any of my lovely followers want to use the idea for their own fics, then I’ll happily read that
