Pet Tax

Obligatory pictures of my fur babies.

The cat is a devious fae creature that adopted me a few days before Halloween, whom my husband named Katniss, and whom I call "My Meow Meow" and "God Damn Fae Brat." The doglet is a lucky chihuahua rescue that found her way into my life a few days after the passing of my last dog, a chiweenie named Wicket. Her name is Zoe, and she is a definite light in my life. She also goes by: Doglet, Potato, Biscuit, Baby Dog, and O-Zo-Zo-Zo (pronounced like Mo-Jo Jo-Jo! From the Powerpuff Girls.)

The cat is also bigger than the dog.

Life as a front desk person is alright. I listen to podcasts, and do next to nothing. Well, if you don't count the repeated communication with extraterrestrial intelligences. I have eaten my own ego thrice over only to burst forth as the beany coating of chili cheese pup ala Krystal. The slider sized doglet sings in harmony with the radioactive yellow of the fries that were purchased along with the processed flesh of my discarded ego.

I become one with the office cat. Our eyes lazily blink at the manager in unison, thus indicating our implicit trust and comfort with with the person who feeds us. Mraow. Prrraaow. As they bite into their fast food hot dog, I die a gruesome death via mastication by grad school dropout. I reconstitute at my desk and open my mouth.

A siren wails. There is no air raid. There is no impending nuclear threat. It is I, emitting a sonorous mating call so that I may procreate with my fellow emergency vehicles. Maybe I'll land a firetruck this time. Mother will be so proud :3

hey y’all, i’m going to be up pretty late tonight catching up on some work (there were some complications with a whelping dog that took up my attention today :c) so please feel free to send in asks and such! i’ll be checking in throughout the night, and it’ll be nice to have folks to talk to c:

#i never want to assist an animal with the birthing process again i s2fg #that dog was in labor for almost 3 hours and i had to call vets to be like ''hey this is an issue can you uuuuuuuuuuuuuh maybe help''#so that was. a thing that happened. and i feel bad b/c i was going to finish up a project and submit it to a client today #but dog drama very much got in the way of THAT so uh. rip me i guess #for anyone wondering the dog is fine. one of the puppies didn't develop right but the other 3 are alive and well #doglet is waddling around and my new concern is that she's going to tear my ankles out LMAO #...i wonder if my client will accept puppy photos as consolation for not getting the project to him today like i promised?
