"You're too sweet, Min. What did I do to deserve you?"

"Well, you," she says as she boops your nose, "you light up my world like nobody else. You don't know you're beautiful and it's so cute."
"Ugh, Minjiii!" you scream into your hands as they instinctively come up to cover your face.
She giggles at how her words leave you in shambles. "I don't why you're being shy."
"Cuz I'm really not like you, babe. You're just... out there. Inhumanly beautiful."
"Oh, stop it!"
"No, really! Like whenever I see you my heart just... 내 마음 말랑해, you know? I go crazy just looking at you cuz, like, your face, bro. 네 모습 아주 그냥 아찔해. For real."
"에이 무슨 소리야?" She quickly stands up. "Come here. Come and dance with me. I want my arms about you. I need to tell you something."
Doing as you're told, you get up and walk timidly into her arms. She wraps them around your neck.
"Ok. Do you know what I'm about to tell you?"
"No..."
"Well, actually, it's more like a reminder. I'm gonna remind you of how I confessed to you."
Immediately you blush at the memory. You try to look down but she catches your forehead with hers.
"I'm right here, baby. Look at me."
Eye contact with Kim Minji this close for this long was impossible. You shut your eyes, blushing like mad.
"Do you remember what I said when I confessed to you?"
"How could I forget?"
"I'll never forget it either. Because I'd been planning it for weeks. I had all the words I wanted to say laid out in my head but when I stood in front of you to tell you, I was a huge mess. I still remember it all now."
She pulls you back and forth. There was no music other than the soft shuffling of your feet and the steady rhythm of your breaths.
"In my head I was like, 'Ok. Today's the day. 얼마나 기다렸던 날. I'm finally doing this.' Then when I called your name and you looked at me with that smile, I was just speechless. I asked myself, '나 원래 말도 잘하고 그런데 왜 이런지?' Then I realized it was because that smile, your smile... I fell in love with it. With you. With how beautiful you are and how you always make me happy. So I finally told you, 'Hey. I know this is sudden but I just wanted to say... You give me butterflies, you know? 널 보면 하트가 튀어나와. And at night 잠에 들려고 잠에 들려 해도, 네 생각에 또 새벽 세 시. So, basically, you're on my mind all the time and I think I...'"
"I love you."
She smiles. "Yeah, that's what I said."
"And that's what I'm saying to you now, babe."
She pulls you in for a hug. "I love you so much." When she pulls away she looks back at you and says, "I need to go now but I'll only be gone for a few days, ok? I know I can't always be here but when you miss me remember that you have my heart. 너만 알 수 있는 내 마음을."
Then she kisses you, gentle and delicate, just like the first time she said those three words. "And whenever it gets hard, remember that I love you. Our love is never gonna let us down."

“7년 차에 회사를 그만두고 아내와 세계여행을 떠났어요. 회사에서 같이 일하던 사람들은 모두 좋았는데, 일이 정말 너무 많았어요. 거의 매일 새벽 한두시가 돼야 퇴근해서 집에 갈 수 있었거든요. 그러다보니 온전하게 제 가정과 가족들한테 집중할 시간이 너무 부족했어요. 저는 그게 정말 싫었거든요. 처음 아내한테 이야기했을 때 반대가 심했죠. 아마 아내는 그 결심이 순간적인 감정이고, 시간이 지나면 괜찮아질거라고 생각을 했던 것 같아요. 근데 제가 1년 반 동안 아내를 설득했어요. ‘난 다른 좋은 회사로 다시 들어갈 수 있는 충분한 능력이 있다.’ 라고요. 그리곤 블로그 정보를 모아 세계여행 후 더 행복해진 부부들의 이야기 자료를 모았어요. 그렇게 1년 반만에 아내를 설득해 퇴사도, 여행도 모두 해냈습니다. 그리고 여행 후 정말로 다른 좋은 회사에 갔고요, 무엇보다 아내와도 더 행복해졌어요.”
“I quit my job of 7 years and traveled the world with my wife. While I liked all of my coworkers, the workload was just too excessive. I was leaving the office around 1 or 2 am nearly every day. As time went on, I barely had any time to spend with my family, something I really hated. The first time I discussed quitting with my wife, she strongly opposed the idea. I think she thought it was more of a knee-jerk reaction and that things would improve with time. But I continued to persuade her for over a year and a half, assuring her I had the skills to get a job at another reputable company. I researched blogs and came across multiple stories about couples who traveled the world and grew happier together. So in the span of a year and a half, I managed to persuade my wife, quit my job, and embark on this global adventure with her. And after our trip, I really did land a job at a good company, but more importantly, my relationship with my wife flourished.”

23 since 2016 lmao,, i don't remember exactly how many i posted on lj from 2012-2015 but it wasn't a ton, probably 10-15 that were like 50k altogether

it's been all over the place since 2020 lol but p much only chinese media like danmei novels, movies, cdramas. used to write kpop rpf but prob won't return to that even tho i still like and follow many groups

uhh i feel like the only thing i wrote that is complete and has an angsty ending is 捡一个梦; reach for a dream bc it was a missing scene from an angsty arc of the show. or lol jk same scenario applies to 余光 (remnants of light) bc it takes place before the end of yuwu and not in one of the happier moments
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
either 给你给你 or 换一世身份姓名; heaven to myself bc they're both disgustingly sweet and affectionate at the end
8. Do you get hate on fics?
nope! either i am writing for tiny ass fandoms or like, my fics don't get enough traction to attract haters LMAO
9. Do you write smut?
not a lot... the incomplete bingqiu au i posted has the most explicit scenes so far but i am still too shy writing it. i have to practice so that i can write more than 3 sentences of sex in a single day and actually finish the wips i started 😭
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you have written?
i have before! nothing crazy tho bc it was just kpop rpf and it would be like, two idols from the same company that have interacted multiple times! lmao. sometimes i think abt crossovers for cdramas that are relatively tame such as: two actors that have been in the same drama multiple times are reincaranted and those 2+ dramas are their different lives... but it's so niche in eng speaking fandom and i haven't fully written one out yet. also does it count as a crossover if u put characters from story A into the setting/setup for story B bc i do that a lot but i think that is fairly common at least for ppl to imagine
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
i don't think so... again, my fics do not get a lot of traction so i don't think it's likely lmaooo
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
i think there was an exo one translated into russian a long time ago but i don't even remember which one lolllll it might have been on my livejournal
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
not a whole fic yet but ive brainrotted a plethora of aus with friends before such as but not limited to mingqian actors au with lianzi (very intricate with multiple variations) and a Bunch of cdrama and yuwu stuff with another friend :')
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
i cannotttttt pick only one but ummm in the last yr-ish it's been a rotation of tantai jin/li susu + mingye/sang jiu from cyjm, mingqian from liu yao, xilian from yuwu (🤪)..... bingqiu from sv (always).... i should stop for now that's Tew Many. but i think once i finish spl, changgu will also be up there
15. What is a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
i feel like i'm cursing myself by typing this out but perhaps the bingqiu i posted one chapter of..... even if i could write all the p With p parts that i wanted to include, i was also a little stuck on the ending and idk if i would be able to write it in a way that doesn't feel like a cop out or just weak in general 😢 but i do like that au and i think my writing for it so far was p decent... so who knows...!
16. What are your writing strengths?
i think i am pretty good at dialogue that sounds 1. natural and 2. true to the characters! i try really hard to make imagery sound original(ish) and evocative, and to make a character's Yearning palpable
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
intricate plot, action, sex (takes me forever to write and haven't done it in as much detail as i would like to tbh)
18. Thoughts of writing dialogue in another language in fics?
i love it! i did it a little in my yunfei fic and instead of directly translating the line of chinese right there i just included the meaning in the next line of dialogue, like "what do you mean [thing they just said]" + i did it like that bc the tone of it just felt so much more natural to me in mandarin for that specific convo. not that it was something untranslatable (it wasn't) but it just felt comfier to me. i also like the thing ppl do where you can hover over the text and it will show the translation but idk how that html works HAHA someday i would like to give it a go
19. First fandom you wrote for?
exo.......... lmao
20. Favorite fic you have written?
overall i think it would be typhoon season (my incomplete but not abandoned cisswap girls ximang in hk) ! i had it fermenting in my brain for like 8 months before i wrote it, which meant i had figured a lot of the stuff for the beginning out and it was much easier to write than normal since i was not deliberating so much in the moment. i think the pacing for it was good and the reveals of backstory were placed well, and i think i adapted the characters well too even if it's only a first chapter and they haven't done a lot yet. i wanna write them again but it's been rly hard for me to think abt that specific au for many months lol. i also think my recent yzy gegedidi fic had a lot of yummy scenes even if i see some flaws in some parts of the fic's progression... but i spent enough time on it already so i will not go and fix it anymore 😌 peace
i think all my writer friends were tagged already...... this tagline (like a bloodline) will end with me

“미국에서 가게를 운영하다가 그 가게를 팔았어. 잔금을 치루는 날 열쇠까지 다음 주인에게 넘기고 나왔지. 집에가서 짐 정리를 하고 있는데 어머 내가 3만 5천달러인가를 가게 서랍에 그냥 두고 온 거야. 그때가 새벽 1~2시 사이였거든.어떡해. 100km로 밟아서 가게까지 달렸어. 내가 과속을 하니까 뒤에 삐용삐용하면서 경찰이 금방 붙더라고. 상향등도 깜빡깜빡 키면서 영화처럼 말이야. 근데 나는 가게에 두고 온 내 돈이 더 급해서 멈출 수가 없었어. 그렇게 쫓기면서도 별의 별 생각이 다 들더라고. 가게에 도착해서 차를 세우니까 경찰이 달려와. “너 지금 몇 마일로 달렸는지 알아?”하면서. 그래서 내가 거의 울먹이면서 말했지. “쏘리, 쏘리. 하지만 내가 가게를 판 돈을 저 안에 그대로 두고 왔어" 나는 솔직히 내 사정 안 봐줄 줄 알았어. 그런데 경찰이 먼저 가게로 들어가더니 새 주인을 데리고 나와서 돈이 어디있는지 확인시켜 주더라고. 무사히 돈을 넘겨 받을 때까지 바로 뒤에서 지켜봐주고 말야. 그리고는 얘기하더라고. ‘너 큰일 날 뻔했네. 이번에 티켓은 안 끊을게. 근데 조심해야 해’ 미국은 속도 제한에 엄격하고 경찰이 강해서 크게 혼날 줄 알았거든. 한 밤의 추격전은 그냥 그렇게 끝났어. 너무 고마웠지. 미국에 살면서 기억에 남는 일 중 하나야.”

“I sold the shop I was running in the U.S. On the day I finalized the transaction, I handed the keys over to the new owner and left. When I got home and was organizing my belongings, I panicked, realizing I had left about $35,000 in a drawer at the shop before leaving. It was sometime between 1 and 2 in the morning, and I had no idea what to do. I rushed back to the shop at 100km per hour. Since I was speeding, I heard police sirens going off pretty quickly. It felt like a scene from a movie with the police flashing their high beam headlights at me. But I couldn’t stop; the money I had left at the shop meant more to me. Even though I was being chased, I couldn’t think about anything else. I arrived at the shop and parked my car. The police came running up to me, asking me if I knew how fast I was driving. On the verge of tears, I apologized and told them I had left the money I received from selling the shop inside. Honestly, I didn’t expect them to believe my story. But to my surprise, the policemen entered the store first and returned with the new owner, asking them to check where I had left the money. And they stayed behind me until I safely got it back. Then they told me, ‘You could have been in serious trouble. We won’t give you a ticket this time, but you need to be more careful.’ Since speed limits are really strict in the U.S. and the police have such a strong presence, I expected they would have told me off. That’s how the night I was chased by police ended. I was incredibly grateful. That was one of my most memorable experiences I’ve had while living in the U.S.”

A FLATMATE of a woman who jumped 35 metres to her death trying to escape a knife-wielding intruder returned home today too traumatised to speak.
The 20-year-old Chinese woman managed to escape unhurt, while her 18-year-old flatmate died and a 19-year-old male was critically injured after scrambling from a fourth-floor balcony as they fled an intruder yesterday.
It is believed all three are accountancy students.

The dead woman, also from China, and the Korean man who was injured were both naked when they jumped.

Police were today hunting for a dark-skinned bandit who forced his way inside the Waterloo apartment about 1.45pm.
The woman and her companion were spotted climbing over the railing before crashing to the concrete below.

The couple’s flatmate - who was in the flat at the time but was unhurt - returned to the Hunter St unit about 8.30am today appearing visibly shaken, but was turned away by police as crime scene investigators continued examining the building.

The woman, pictured above right yesterday, was too upset to speak when approached by The Daily Telegraph.
She spent about ten minutes speaking with police before she left the building with a friend.
The dead woman has been identified as a Chinese national, while the 19-year-old man, a Korean national, remains in a critical condition at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with spinal injuries and leg fractures.
A neighbour, Siobhan, told The Daily Telegraph she saw the woman fall, but did not hear any signs of a struggle.

Crime scene investigators returned to the apartment block early today photographing inside the unit as well as dusting for finger prints inside an elevator.
This sprawling apartment complex has a security entry with visitors required to buzz before being allowed inside.
Police said today the attacker forced his way inside the unit.
It was unclear how he gained entry to the secure building.
Police had only a vague description of the man who was about 30 years of age and had a dark complexion.

사망한 여성은 중국 국적인 것으로 확인된 반면, 한국 국적인 19세의 남성은 척추 부상과 다리 골절로 로얄 프린스 알프레드 병원에서 위독한 상태에 있다.
"끔찍했어요."
범죄 현장 수사관들은 오늘 새벽 아파트 블록으로 돌아와 아파트 내부를 촬영하고 엘리베이터 안에서 지문을 채취했습니다.
이 드넓은 아파트 단지는 방문객들이 출입하기 전에 윙윙거리는 보안 출입구가 있다.
경찰은 오늘 범인이 무리하게 부대 안으로 들어갔다고 말했다.
그가 어떻게 보안 건물에 진입하게 되었는지는 불분명했다.
경찰은 30살 안팎의 얼굴색이 어두운 이 남성에 대해 막연한 표정만 짓고 있었다.
