(Finally, Adrien graces the blog. I had this done so long ago I just forgot to post it here hh)
In this AU, the wardens of Hisui are like superheroes, able to use the powers of their Noble Pokemon to empower them and protect the region. Sometime in the future, the Miraculous Bracelets find themselves in Kalos where an unprecedented incident is taking place. After finding this bracelet in the chaos, Adrien Agreste accepts the duty of becoming Lord Braviary's warden and becomes the hero Light Eye

this is sooo random but i was listening to the song chasin you by morgan wallen (hate the guy but unfortunately his songs are good) and all i could picture was bradley screaming singing this to smart alek in the car and her pretending to hate it but secretly she loves it. they’re literally just my favorite couple in the world u are a genius my friend
first thank you??? that's so sweet and i'm glad you adore them!! okay so i’m glad you added the mw clarification because i am not a fan of his errr politics (also how is that album only 4 years old but he looks SO DIFFERENT??) - BUT bradley would 10000% BELT songs like that out in the car - he's def a big country fan sorry - and she would be like...
“i know your callsign was rooster, but you don’t need to constantly crow like one…” you said, but out of the corner of his eye, bradley could see a smile creeping across your face.
he eventually stopped, but the smile on both your faces only grew when a little voice from the backseat piped up: “no, sing daddy, sing!” maggie pounded her little fists on her car seat.
gil quickly joined his little sister and soon the car was filled with chanting. “sing! sing! sing!” "daddy! daddy! daddy!"
you leaned your head back against your seat and chuckled. “fine, fine. daddy gets to sing one song -”
“- yay!” the backseat erupted in cheers from your four and ten year old and bradley tossed you a pleased smile, at which you just rolled your eyes good-naturedly.
“- BUT,” you voice cut in, “mommy gets to pick -”
“- lime in the coconut!”
- ‘candy mountain!” maggie called out, only getting half the song title.
you tapped your index finger against your chin. “hmmm, both good choices…” you browsed through bradley’s spotify until you shot him a soft smile once you seemingly found what you were looking for and queued it up. “but i'm gonna go with a different one. did you know your father sang to me at our wedding?”
bradley winked at you, immediately knowing what song you had picked. he grabbed your hand across the console and kissed the back of it.
“really?” gil asked.
you turned around to explain to them both. “he practiced for weeks, even had the band we hired backing him because you need a band for this song, it’s larger than life just like daddy.”
chasin’ you was finishing up, but bradley couldn’t help himself and clicked the fast forward button on the carplay, skipping the end of the track. it was silent for a moment - he could even see the kids leaning forward in their seats in the rear view mirror in anticipation - and then the drums and the horns, followed by that iconic baseline hit.
everlasting love wasn’t a terribly popular song - at least not anymore. but you both had come across it during a long car ride to visit your parents in berkeley after it popped up on bradley’s discover weekly playlist. it had quickly become your song and whenever it came up on shuffle over the preceding years, you'd both smile and think about each other. of course you’d played it since and the kids knew it (as well as a four and ten year old could know a song).
but you had never told them the significance behind it.
that bradley had sang it to you as his speech at your wedding, complete with a full band and a slew of smooth dance moves. it could have been corny. like really fucking corny. but it worked. it really worked. because bradley was larger than life and he could just do stuff like that - literally serenade you at your wedding.
you had first sat in your chair at the head table, a little gobsmacked, your mouth wide open in shock - or disbelief - until you had eventually gotten up as if in a trance and walked towards the stage, eventually standing in the middle of the dance floor. around the second verse, bradley had jumped off the stage to dance alongside you, still singing along. miraculously, he didn’t stumble through the lyrics once, despite all your giggles and crazy dance moves. when he finished, you collapsed against him, giving him one hell of a kiss as he spun you around in his arms.
it was such a pure and honest moment and he knew that was when all your family, friends, and colleagues finally saw you as he did. as his everlasting love.
back in the present - bradley was happily singing along to the song while your kids were sitting in the backseat, completely captivated.
open up your eyes, then you'll realize here i stand with my everlasting love, need you by my side, girl you'll be my bride
the kids kept giggling and chiming in with brief snippets of the lyrics, but all you could do was watch bradley - your everlasting love.
anyway that was DISGUSTING god i need to take a shower jesusfuckingchrist

this is more of a rant. so it's gonna be a bit more jumbled and unorganized.
but ep 14 was to me what ep 12 appeared to be to everyone else. a headscratcher. like, i was asking my cat why and wtf about every 10 seconds.
partly because i misunderstood: i thought JH already knew MW was sleeping with YR (at the beginning, there's a surveillance picture of MW in the hallway in front of YR door) so i didn't understand why he didn't say so to JW when she came up with that nonsensical seduction plan.
but furthermore - that seduction plan. shouldn't JW by that point already know MW well enough to know that he will cheat, no matter who he married? also, by taking such an active part, isn't she really dirtying her hands now? the fact that show framed it around JHs discomfort / acceptance about the plan, and not the moral implications for JW was a total miss for me.
but then, the whole framing of the episode was off. when JW went with JR to catch her husband, i thought this cathartic smashing of the table and the (re-) traumatizing impact of having the situation play out exactly the same way would kind of uncork her feelings and she would finally grapple with the severity of what's happened to her and what now must happen to someone else.
i expected to have that whole pain and anger and guilt and fear come together and explode out of her. for her to tearily scream at JR in the parking lot to accept help, to painstakingly paint a picture of the path men like this will take to get their way and to kind of create a mirror situation to ep 7 to show her character growth at the same time. (it would also have better foreshadowed the end of the episode.)
instead we have those issued shipped off to another love line. can't one woman stay happily single? be better off on her own?
i don't know... the whole episode just felt strange.
also, it really undercut JH. i mean that man has been telling us for the whole show, that he's capable of doing almost anything and that he has this great power, yet he can't figure out that they are being tailed by more than just LS (who told him! and said he should do something similar!)? and LSs tail can't figure out that there's another tail? and JH is not countering this? this dude is an allpowerful chaebol who knows the game? who knows the next 10 years? who doesn't foresee how YR will react even with the knowledge of his past life? who doesn't equip the love of his life with this knowledge? and who has all the resources at his disposal but can only protect her by driving in front of a truck?
what have they been talking about the whole time? i hope at least about stock investements....
and don't get me started on his miraculous recovery after apparently being at a 'we're not sure if/when he's gonna wake up' stage just shortly prior. (once again setting up stakes and not following through.)
or JW being all bashful. that woman was married. she's capable of sharing a bed with a man, whether it be for sex or in a non-sexual manner. if you wanna make her hesitant about it, then address the fact that sex with MW was probably not pleasurable and another pressure point for his abuse in various way. but i do concede that that would probably be too dark for this drama. (although i can think of a lot of ways they could have allluded to it throughout the show.)
also, can someone explain the end? why wasn't she fighting back? and please, take off your heels in a situation like this ffs. that really had me screaming at my tv.

Now that I've established the Miraculous Wardens a bit, I can show you our two main heroes!
In this AU, the Wardens of Hisui are like superheroes, able to use the powers of their Noble Pokemon to empower them and help protect the region. Sometime in the future, the Miraculous Bracelets find themselves in Kalos where an unprecedented incident is taking place. After stumbling across one of these bracelets, Marinette Dupain-Cheng accepts the duty of becoming Lord Wyrdeer's Warden and becomes the hero, Fawn.

Noble: Lord Wyrdeer
Weapon: Staff
Type: Normal/Psychic
Moveset:
- Psybash Shield: Fawn cloaks herself in psychic energy before slamming into an enemy target. The cloaking also raises her defensive stats and allows her to take more hits.
- Giga Impact: Fawn charges at the enemy in a reckless but powerful sprint. If she hits a barrier or an enemy, she takes some recoil damage from the hit.
