Yugi was surprised by the unusual attack as he got knocked down and the guy sat on his face. "Mmmpft!" The short one exclaimed as he thrashed a bit against the other's body weight, but there was little he could do at this disadvantage.

After rewatching S1E10....my whole view on Prideshipping/Rivalshipping has just been re-enforced like....

Yugi sees a fake...with KAIBA'S FACE & KAIBA'S DECK. He gets angry for him and actually stresses the fuck out that he's really dead.

But listen it isn't only Yugi....it's Kaiba too.

Kaiba LITERALLY BLOCKS A BULLET, JUMPS OUT A WINDOW, just to get to his secret computer room to FIND YUGI. Kaiba knows his deck so well that he knew he'd use Dark Magacian and searches for it.

Kaiba sees that Yugi has already beaten one of his Blue Eye's and PRAISES HIM FOR IT!

Then if that shit wasn't enough....Yugi is about to get freaking blasted by the second Blue Eye's and Kaiba fucking forces a virus onto it so Yugi wouldn't lose life points. This is big cause....Blue Eye's is KAIBA'S CARD. To destroy his own precious card ON PURPOSE just to protect Yugi is like fucking amazing to me.

THENNNNNNNN

When Yugi is about to get blased with the final Blue Eye's, Kaiba sees he can't to anything to protect him and SCREAMS HIS NAME!

Yugi doesn't just hear it...he FEELS IT. He knows he's really alive.

And Kaiba FEELS the heart of the cards by doing so. HE LITERALLY SAYS THIS.

And because Yugi can FEEL that Kaiba is alive he wins the battle and mind crushes the imposter cause he's so pissed. And if that wasn't enough.....

Yugi is so fucking heated that he forces his mind into Pegasus's and basically tells him that because he fucked with Kaiba, he's going to FUCK HIM UP.

Shit is wild man.

I headcanon Kaiba having this cute, yet very unsettling/frightening yawn.

No one sees, except for Mokuba, and when Joey or Yugi asks Mokuba how Kaiba yawns. Kaiba just gives the trauma of them seeing him yawn happening infront them in one of their geek group gatherings.

Which scares both Joey and Yugi respectfully.

Kaiba's mouth has never been so big when he yawns. Its like those cat yawns.

Back to the muse au!

Honda is just a magic military gun man design wise, not much to expand on that. So far, I have given every single muse a symbol/pupil shape, and truth be told, I struggled a bit with Honda's. I already had his concept and name picked out, but I had no idea what symbol I could use to tie into it. Eventually, after a really weird train of thought, I ended up landing on a cog! Which kind of made him end up looking steam punky, but I don't necessarily hate it.

Next up, his powers! As a magic gunman, he can obviously make shots that should not be physically possible, and he has access to infinite amo. This doesn't have much to do with adrenaline as a concept, but I figured it was worth a mention. As for his more on theme powers, he has the ability to speed himself up to a degree where it almost appears like he's teleporting. (Think Takajo Jojiro from Charlotte, but with more precision.) He can also shoot special bullets that induce a sudden surge of adrenaline in whoever it hits, this could be useful when civilians are needed to evacuate fast from a battle field, or when one of his team mates starts to run a little low on energy.

This is literally my second time drawing Honda, and I am not confident enough with the results XD. Originally, he was supposed to be Jonouchi's coworker, but not anymore, I guess! Now he's the team's insider with the police. Speaking of which, I finally finished the main team! I still need to come up with a team name for them, though... I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any ideas XD

Next up, the teams first major adversary!

Yugi helped a customer in the back of the shop with an item. One they couldn't find in the front. He gave them a smile and Solomon worked the cashier for the purchase. That was the last customer for the time being. As the two would be closing the shop for the rest of the day. Once the customer left, Yugi flipped the sign to closed and walked back to his grandfather.

"It's time, isn't it? To go to the airport?" Yugi asked. Solomon nodded. "Indeed. Now make sure you have everything." The half harpy chuckled. "Yes, grandpa."

He waited for Yugi to grab his coat. A few last minute checks for keys and their bags. Then... They were off. Yugi could hardly believe it. All this time of waiting and preparations. And the new secret. Yugi fiddled with his new bracelets. So much to talk about...

Yugi sat at one of the chairs when they arrived. Solomon sitting next to him. Giving words of reassurance and comfort. Even so... It all felt so surreal. Though... He suspected Atem was just as anxious and excited. Soon enough... The plane arrived. Yugi stood up. Barely able to contain his emotions.

In the au’s where they are all humans/alive, Akane pronounces Tsukasa as ‘sue-kuh-suh’ instead of ‘sue-kah-sah’. At first it was an accident, he was just calling out the participants names for one school activity. Him and Teru wrote down the names and they accidentally wrote down ‘Tsukusa’, they forgot one ‘A’.

So he said Yugi Tsukusa. Tsukasa corrected him, but the second time they bumped into each other he said Tsukusa again.

Teru says it too, just on purpose.

Emil and Ratatosk and complicated relationship;

Here is kind of a headcanon/thought I had of an alternate ending for these two after talking with @lady-quen

As Emil was originally formed by and from Ratatosk as a way to hide from Richter while they regained strength, and to remain hidden administered self amnesia and false memories of a life not lived.

With the unfortunate consequence of this new personality growing and becoming their own separate being no longer feeling a part of Ratatosk, yet still a part of them none the less.

Because of such trying to separate into their own beings would likely be dangerous even with the powers of a such a god / god like being as Ratatosk himself nor is he ready to just give up this body and form they created.

However Emil has more then proven their capabilities and impressed Ratatosk who is willing to admit that they have earned their respect and a right to keep their life, for now. They've created their own real memories, friends and relationships and while they may not be the nicest fellow they can acknowledge they've earned the right to keep what they've gained on their own.

They are of the same body and soul at their core (cores) after all, Emil would not exist if were not for him so it's only right that in time they will become one again but, perhaps not soon but eventually. It's how its meant to be.

Besides being of Ratatosk means that even with a body of his own there's know guarantee he'd age or change like everyone else, while everyone else grows old and dies they may still remain unchanged barely touched by the sands of time maybe not immortal but living in a different frame of time from everyone else.

So he remains silent and patient, an old deity who doesn't mind waiting until the time is right knowing full well it would cause more harm to the both of them to forcibly assimilate and become one again but that their souls still cry out and need each other, one can not survive without the other.

For the most part Emil keeps control, while Ratatosk sits back allowing Emil to tap into their shared power at anytime its needed though he can be fickle and every so often should the need arise Ratatosk will be the one to come forth and take over- Everyone knowing when the change happens do to the Red eyes, his voice deepening and becoming louder brimming with a confidence not held before.

Ratatosk is far less merciful so you best hope not to come facing them in a fight as they hold no qualms against killing.

Now Emil of course is the only one to see or hear Ratatosk although some like Marta who's made a contract with them might be able to sense his presence in some way.

As Lord of Monsters it also allows Emil a strong connection and control over beasts barely needing to create a pact to get them to listen.

Both Ratatosk and Emil rather dislike being misnamed / called by the other's name and will correct you.

Ratatosk would never be that cowardly he argues and Emil will quickly deny that he's nothing like that monster.

In some way Emil has become accustomed to Ratatosks power and while still not fully to terms with the fact that they are in a sense Ratatosk/part of them perhaps finds the idea of not having them around strange. They are two halve of the same whole.

Emil's kind and gentler demeanor helps to tame and reel in Ratatosk brutality and violent nature, however the confidence and aggression of Ratatosk does help bring out a boldness in Emil not had before and helps push him to fight when he otherwise wouldn't.

Unfortunately for Yami, he'd witness Neptune and Noire cosplaying as Yami (Neptune) and Seto (Noire) on a TV monitor, complete with a replica of the Millennium Puzzle! Though instead of the Egyptian Eye, it was the Planeptune Logo:

Okay but no now I'm thinking about this. Because we know later contexts was that Joey wanted to help Yugi toughen up, because he knew he was a lonely kid in class that got picked on because he was smaller, always into his games, etc.

Joey was raised in a completely toxic environment. His Dad's an abusive drunk and he quickly had to take on the role of man of the house in order for both of them to survive. He was even the one that had to be responsible for his little sister while they still lived together, in order to protect her from their Dad and from their parents turbulent marriage.

Joey had to "toughen up" to survive living with his Dad. The lifestyle of paying off his fathers debts, dodging beatings or bottles being thrown at him, hell joining a gang in middle school, all took a toll on him. If he didn't "toughen up", the world would mow him down. He couldn't allow himself to show vulnerability or weakness. He couldn't cower back.

He saw that Yugi did and his first instinct is to get him to fight back. Because, in his experience, that's the only way to get through life. Even then, he couldn't fully stand to see someone else go through what he could have. He went about it the wrong way and Yugi opens up his eyes; you can find strength in more than just the physical kind. That kindness and loyalty are some of the biggest powers in the universe you can utilize. That you can do better and improve and allow yourself those vulnerable moments.

You don't have to be in fight mode. You can heal.

Joey claimed he was going to teach Yugi to be a man, but really, Yugi taught Joey how to be one. And Joey turned out to be one of the best.

Anyways I'm emotional over these characters a lot.

And here we have Muse Yami/Atem!

His theme is supposed to be fire, but he kind of also attained some feline features along the way... Not that I dislike it, I stan cat-boy pharaohs.

His abilities can easily be described as pyromancy. As long as there's a flame, he can control it, mould it into whatever shape he likes and use it for flashy attacks. Allegedly, he has been a muse for a really long time, but it seems that he doesn't fully understand why people become muses and where their enemies come from. Either that, or he just doesn't remember it.

Atem's muse design was inspired by @businesstycoon27 's Shugo Chara Atem which I have been obsessed with since day one.

And fun fact! I thought it would be funny if he was shorter than Yugi, so I made his civil design shorter than him 😆
