So, Kai and Morro. Their similarities are the same amount to their differences.

Before in my Nya and Morro one i said how Kai (and Lloyd) are two of the most different to Morro. I still think that, but i also think they have their similarities.

The biggest similarity between Kai and Morro is how like minded they are when it comes to goals. They both gain one and fulfil it to the end, similarly to Nya. They would do anything to make sure their goal is achieved because not only would it benefit them but it would also benefit others. Impress others. Protect others.

This is driven by their passion as ninja and their need to become better. Their passion is what fuels them to keep going, to stay motivated in what they believe in or wish to achieve. Kai is shown as one of the most passionate people on the show, and Morro is shown to be just as passionate as him, and both their passion ends up not only fuelling them to achieve their goals, but also in their own anger and temper.

Their anger and outbursts tend to be fuelled by the passion backing them up in their opinions and beliefs, and they desperately need to get their points across and do that through their temper as its the easiest method (not the most effective tho). Both Kai and Morro are two individuals who at first had large egos, finding themselves and only the the ones most close to them as important (barely for Morro, the only person he cared for was Wu, who didn’t need any sort of protection or help). However, its shown for both of them that their egos were fragile things, quickly crumbling to bits as their prides took over. Their pride is what makes them so similar, their need to succeed and achieve better for whatever reason, whether it’s to be as strong as possible or whether to finally be important.

But then things tend to differ.

Both Morro and Kai were orphans, dirt poor and unable to gain knowledge like how others their age do. Neither have a home, and neither had parents there to support them until later in life. But Kai had one thing that Morro didn’t, one person that created Kai’s whole purpose and need as a ninja. Someone to protect, some who was under his responsibility, someone like Nya.

Because Kai had Nya, he understood the need to protect and raise others up from the ground, he understood struggles of others and understood that he had to help others. Because of Nya, Kai gained his biggest qualities that developed with the ninja. His sympathy, his empathy, and his heart. He wanted to have the power of protecting, so the people he cared for didn’t need to worry anymore (so they wouldn’t leave him anymore).

Morro didn’t have that, he didn’t have somebody he needed to protect and have responsibility over. He only had himself, and it essentially turned his thought process into (undertale reference) “Kill or be killed” kinda situation. He had never relied on anyone, never needed anyone, and never had anyone need him.

Kai had a purpose, and it was to protect. Morro didn’t have a purpose, so he had a goal to motivate him.

People don’t tend to realise that the most smallest of situations, or words, or actions, can leave so much of an effect on a person. Especially a child.

Their situations were so similar, yet so insignificantly different that no one tends to notice how it drastically changed them as people.

I feel like theres more to add to this, and that i haven’t said my point correctly, but i have school in the morning and i need to sleet so enoughs enough. ALSO: im not comparing their situations as two orphans in a “who had it worse?” Kinda way, both their situations happen irl and shouldn’t be compared in such a way when they each have their own struggles. It was only to analyse how it affected them and the such, please take care of any child you see people they have it rough now a days 😭

Thank u for asking to know BECAUSE I WANNA TALK ABOUT THEM SM EVERYDAY ALL DAY!!!!

Okay so some happy ones first before I tear hearts with sad ones:

Happy ones :)

After he found out he had his own flavor at the Dairy Dragon it’s all he orders and he brags it to Kai all the time (He probably likes mint chocolate mint and hates mangos but it’s all just jokes)

He probably did the thing Kai did with Lloyds green ninja fit(aka posing in front of the mirror doing backflips n stuff like that) Cole caught him and morro threatened to turn him into a ghost again if he told anybody

He’s fine with messing with everyone at the monastery, sometimes Pixal. (if he feels brave) But Nya? He won’t even think of it. It’s like getting your ass kicked by your oldest sibling for taking something from their room.

His room is a mess, but an organized mess. Want scissors? Yeah, I got some in some drawer that’s full of scrolls and random rocks he finds cool

Regular/Casual clothing is leaned to a punk aesthetic.

He loves Zane’s cooking but doesn’t admit it. Anyone else cooks? He’s gonna go to Chen’s Noodle House and order food, he doesn’t want food poisoning.

He gets along with Cole very well, and both talk about their experiences with being undead.

He has a green ninja hoodie like the ones they sell at clothing stores and wears it from time to time (Lloyd gave it to him)

He likes bitter foods

His favorite colors are dark and soft and if he actually redeemed himself/became living he wouldve had either a dark lavender suit or teal-ish

Sad ones now mwahaha

His voice is raspy and damaged due to the smoke in the caves. He sometimes has nightmares about it and wakes up coughing relentlessly or feeling like hes choking

He has a Cleithrophobia (fear of being trapped) and usually sleeps in his room with the door open

He ofter overtrains himself and ends up straining his body since he still thinks he needs to prove himself to Wu

When he's upset, he goes down rabbit holes and lashes out on people. He was never taught how to deal with those feelings as a child, and they're worse as an adult. Zane often tries to teach him healthier methods of dealing with it.

He never got to indulge in silly kid things due to his training and him being obsessed with becoming the green ninja. Lloyd probably showed him a Fritz Donnengan comic, and he probably started secretly collecting the mini figures/comics

Morro is incredibly skilled with his element, to the point where its essentially an extension of himself. Even without any training he could command the wind however he wanted. He uses his power so naturally, without even thinking most of the time, and unlike the ninja he uses it in everyday life as well as combat.

His element isn't all that good for a fight so he tends to get creative with it. He uses a gust of wind to boost his jumps and to cushion his landings, as well as to speed up his running. He can push people away with his wind but he also uses it to just pick up and hold shit, like a personal shelf or an extra set of hands. Overall he's just very good and precise with his element and the ninja should be very glad he never unlocked his true potential.

How it feels to fall for Morro

alr so ik Morro is kinda dead but we’re rolling with it. In my right ending, Morro escapes the clutches of the preeminent and is given a second chance at life(aka doing the same ritual as cole to get his physical form back). and yeah.

Falling for Morro is something that hurts so bad but feels so so good

Something tender and joyful that could tense up and become something so less than it’s led on to be. But overall, Love hurts but it’s an addiction you’ll always crave.

Morro holds in so much internal damage he’s taken over the years. The betrayal he felt by being abandoned so young, every worthless lie told by Wu, every broken promise he’d been told bottled up inside of him until he was a volcano filled with rage and was ready to erupt with his revenge in mind.

But then you were there. His level ground. His angel. His saving grace.

A nonbeliever at heart, but he thanks every deity there may be out there that you’ve come to him.

And for a second, he can’t help but think God doesn’t hate me too much, huh.

What he craves is time and attention from you, to touch and be close to you. Anything you have to offer, he wants, and by golly he’s gonna fuckin get it.

When he’s with you, he loves holding you close, comfortably tight with barely enough space for free movement. He’ll inhale the scent of your new shampoo, making a mental note to snatch it when he’s feeling lonely. He’ll stroke your hair softly and kiss the top of your head so sweetly you’ll almost forget he tried to unleash the cursed realm upon Ninjago. But hey, people make mistakes all the time.

His love language surprisingly is touch. Simple and gentle touches can mean a lot to him.

When he was a ghost, all he longed for was touch. he hadn’t felt anything in so long and now he can finally feel again. everything feels so real and he’s so glad he gets to hold you.

When he’s near, his hand is tucked into your back pocket, enveloped around your hand, wrapped around your waist, etc. He loves holding you whenever he can, any moment of the day. And he seems to ache greatly when he’s away from you.

A precious ecstasy is all he’s felt with you. Like a perfect drug trip you never want to come down from.

But with all these great moments, the eye of the storm still rages within him.

Morro has a tendency to raise his voice often, without even realizing it. He feels terrible if he’s yelled at you, even more if it’s upset you.

When he’s yelling, the moment he sees you his voice tends to break and he fumbled as he gets quieter. there are nights where he’s done nothing but wept overseeing you frightened by his angry outbursts. and he holds you and promises you that he’s trying his best to get it under control.

He whispers do you softly and kisses you all over.

“I’m so sorry my love, please forgive me.”

Deep down you know he’ll never be able to control it, and it hurts. but it hurts so good

It feels nice to be on edge on the occasion, to have a bit of danger in your average life

(you’re fucking crazy.)

But it’s good to see Morro drive to get better for someone he truly cares about.

The others(ninja) never will truly understand why you fell for a man like him. they often question you about it. asking you if he’s forcing you to be in this relationship. if he’s manipulated you into thinking you love him.

When you laugh and say “Of course he hasn’t.”, they’ll always think of you as a lost cause. like him.

But they’ll come around.

The only person who won’t? Sensei Wu himself.

He’ll forever be in denial that Morro has managed to keep an actual relationship. He’s so far in denial, he’s gotten to where he just pretends you don’t exist.

(which you’re okay with, fuck him)

None of that matters to the both of you when all you need is each other.

You’re Morro’s soulmate, his twin flame.

He praises you like a godsend every time you breathe and would drop everything and everyone just to make you happy.

In his eyes. You need to be spoiled with love, gifts, soft and rough touches alike. It’s something you deserve and something he longs for.

Falling for Morro is loving as long as the sun burns in the sky, and the moon is shining bright in the sky.

Loving on the bad days where you sleep in separate rooms and the good where he gets you flowers and kisses you softly in the morning.

Don’t give up on him, he’s trying so hard for you.

I'm definitely curious about Cleo now. What happened to her, and what was she to Morro?

Ok! So AU/headcannon time!

So Morro's parents left him on the side of the road when he was 6-7. Being that young, he assumed that they'd return, so he waited there for days. Until a group of other homeless kids found him and took him back to their 'base'. An abandoned tea shop. The other kids were- Jake, (12-13) Alex, (11-12) and Cleo.(7-8)

(Jake and Alex snuck out of their apartment in the middle of the night to go play, and Cleo followed after. While they were out playing, the apartment caught fire. No one made it; except them. )

So the others helped Morro back up to health, and showed him how to get by on the streets. The 2 boys became like big brothers to Morro, and Cleo... he had a major crush on. Tragically though, one winter, the fire they set wasn't enough and that night they lost Cleo. Morro would visit her grave constantly and talk to her. He would go on to live on the streets until he was about 10. The village was getting fed up with the trio at this point, so they decided to try their luck with the monastery. That was the day Wu found them in the trash cans and inevitably adopted Morro.

To this day, he hates winter for that reason. And that's why he particularly cranky when they were on the snowy mountain in possession.

He did reunite with her in the Departed Realm, and they still like to play around.

he LOVES playing in the rain - especially with you!

once he’s done and worn out for the day, you’ll both snuggle up with hot drinks and watch a movie or play a game while listening to the thunder

storms trigger both his artsy and romantic side

sometimes, he just wants to stay in, be cozy, and do a little drawing or reading (maybe some light songwriting too) while having some soft music play in the background

you will 100% find this man seated next to a window while absentmindedly gazing at the rain

other times, he wants to be sappy and take you out into the rain with him <3

if you kiss him smack dab in the middle of a storm, it will make him perish

enjoys reading by a window with you

you two will also make a large batch of a homemade hot beverage for the team together

if the waves and/or currents are too strong, then you two will just sit on the bounty watching the ocean…nya LIVES for the adrenaline rush a violent ocean brings

enjoys meditating during stormy days; will invite you to meditate with him

this man will drink an obnoxious amount of tea during stormy days

if you’re training to become an elemental master with him, then he will treat it as a normal training session and make you train outside anyway

he loves storms and uses the chance to sharpen his more violent wind attacks; he takes inspiration from the storm, in a way

you watch him train quite a bit; if you’re an elemental yourself, then you’ll train with him

he likes observing the world from a high point while it’s storming; the violent wind gusts combined with the thunder and lightning never fail to get his heart pumping…he’ll bring you with him too sometimes, and you both will just stand on top of a skyscraper or mountain to just soak in the chaos

Now presenting: probably the cutest and most wholesome headcannon I've ever made

Morro using his element to play the windchimes like an instrument. At first it was a way to practice precision with his element but now he does it as a way to relax, playing little tunes and lullabies when he gets stressed or to help the other ninja (especially Lloyd)
