"It's not that deep, let people drink coffee" It's not that deep? more than 30k people have been killed over the course of six months. the next generation of Palestinians is going to have birth defects because on average, 10 kids a day become amputees. premature births have increased by 20-30 percent. 13 libraries containing old and important texts have been burnt down. people are actively trying to erase a whole culture and drive them away from their homes. a university that is more than 1000 years old has been reduced to a pile of rubble. more children have been killed daily than in the holocaust. Palestinians, even if they don't currently live in Palestine, are going to have trauma over this. this is the most well-recorded genocide ever witnessed and yet it is still going on.

all this but you can't stop buying far-too-expensive and shitty coffee from a multimillion-dollar company that is funding the group responsible for this genocide? grow up and start to realise that you, even as one person, have the power to affect a company because when you start, you will somehow influence the people around you. and there are way better and cheaper places to buy coffee from.

Commission done for a friend of her firs D&D character, Inara Moonhalo, a half-elf cleric!

I had a lot of fun designing her, and my friend is particularly pleased with my idea of her wearing a net as a skirt, since she comes from a fishing village. The design on her necklace was made using the Arvyndase alphabet, combining shapes and characters into one that represents her silver elfish father’s family name of Galanodel with that of the crescent moon. That’s probably the part I’m proudest of.

Mystische Monderscheinung - Mystical Moon

When I walked the last round in the evening, I saw the moon and around it a huge shining circle - a halo. Such light effects arise when the light of the moon refracts at cirrus clouds in icy heights to a circular halo.

But that was not all, because directly around the moon one could also observe a luminous phenomenon in the form of a halo. A halo is formed by the diffraction of light at the water droplets of the clouds.

Both together are quite rare, because actually the phenomena arise in different ways. Halos are formed by the birefringence of light on ice particles, while halos are formed by water droplets, as described above.

Such phenomena usually announce weather changes within 24 hours.

Als ich abends die letzte Runde gegangen bin, sah ich den Mond und um ihn herum einen riesigen leuchtenden Kreis - ein Halo. Solche Lichteffekte entstehen, wenn sich an Cirruswolken in eisigen Höhen  das Licht des Mondes zu einem kreisrunden Halo bricht.

Doch das war noch nicht alles, denn um den Mond herum konnte man auch noch eine Leuchterscheinung in Form eines Hofes beobachten. Ein Hof entsteht durch die Beugung des Lichts an den Wassertröpfchen der Wolken.

Beides zusammen ist recht selten, denn eigentlich entstehen die Phänomene auf unterschiedlicher Weise. Halos entstehen durch die Doppelbrechung des Lichts an Eisteilchen, während Höfe durch Wassertröpfchen, wie oben beschrieben, entstehen.

Solche Phänomene kündigen normalerweise binnen 24 Stunden Wetterumschwung an.
