What is this?

An update account dedicated to Redacted Audio on YouTube (& Patreon).

What do you update?

Everything! Sometimes, Erik related activity. But mostly, video uploads, character lore, etc...

Who operates this?

I'm Dany. I run other Update Account blogs on tumblr and I've been watching Redacted since late 2021, and I've been involved with the fandom since summer of 2022.

Do you update stuff related to the Patreon?

Yes and no. This will be a situation to situation thing. However, I will not, ever update about anything that is posted behind a paywall for a reason. I will not disrespect Erik's wishes, so I won't post about BA's, certain upcoming content, links to private streams, etc... (if you have any specific questions about this feel free to ask!)

Do you post updates about the characters?

Yes! That is more or less the point of this blog!

How do I start watching Redacted?

The answer to this will defiantly be different from person to person, but personally I started with the "Everything" Playlist, it's all of the videos in a playlist in the order of release. But if you don't want to start with that, you can start with character/story playlists. Starting with either Freelancer Season One (Gavin, Lasko, Damien, & Huxley), Vincent, or David and explore from there! There really isn't a "right" way to watch Redacted, so whichever way you choose will probably be best for you :)

I mean, technically yeah you can and I really don't think Erik would care...however, getting an Erik notice or his attention would honestly really freak me out lol so I'd rather no one bring it to his attention for the sake of my anxiety

A question for modders

To any modder that might see this, you know the ancient Fourth-Wall Options, the Look at Me mod?

Is there a way to make it last longer or make it an action you can cancel?

I use it a lot and it’s a bit frustrating I can’t get it to last a long animation, so I was just wondering if it’d be possible.

My #1 post of 2022

I spent entirely too much time on this, started last night and barely slept wanting to finish it only to, at the end look at it and go.... meh lol Story of my life. Anyway, Aria [this vamp gurl here] circa 1872 when she was still human, around 15 years old. Aria is a very old RP OC and I never spared a thought about her looks before she was turned into a creature of the night. But, since I’m making her character sheet for when the RP she was created for years ago starts again (not much hope, but ok...) I did stop to ponder. I wanted to make it look like an old painting, a bit on the fence about the final result. Here’s the version without a bazillion filters on it, just a contrast adjustment. So weird, I made a must of using a teen version of Aria and it ended up looking like an adult, I chalk it up to too much makeup.

And the OG pic, in case anyone is curious. Well not all was a waste of time, with this I learned how to resize and reposition objects, that book was way bigger and fatter XD So It’s a win in my book.

1. Why did you choose your url? Because DeathPoke1qa is my username on other sites. I have explained the actual origin of the username before (cw: naruto related).

2. Any sideblogs? If you have them name them and why you have them. Does @the-crypt-o-club count? If not, then no.

3. How long have you been on tumblr? Not very long. I pretty much have only used tumblr for sims content and I made my simblr in 2018 solely for the purpose of posting my custom content.

4. Do you have a queue tag? No. I think the only time I ever queued posts was during last years April Fools prank.

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place? Well, I originally made a tumblr with the same url a *long* time ago because my girlfriend was really into tumblr at the time, but I never used it. Then, at some point, my girlfriend re-vamped the blog into a gore aesthetic blog. Then, in 2018, I wanted to make a simblr, so I deleted that blog and made this one.

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp? It is my simself holding a skull in a coffin. Why wouldnt I choose that?

7. Why did you choose your header? It is one my ocs.

Truly, you could have laughed when you found out Bloodhound was a vampire.

Memories of headlines reading ‘local legend part bat?’ hitting you when they’d revealed it to you. They knew that you wouldn’t be scared, but for you to giggle at them had been something they hadn’t been expecting. Well, until you burst out giggling with, “So are you really part bat? Do you got wittle pointy ears and wings?” And they’d pushed you playfully, softly and told you that you were ridiculous.

Aliens existed, different alien beasts that you could hunt or talked like any other person- sure, why would vampires not be real? Though it did lead to you asking questions about eating. It definitely explained their like of raw meat and how they’d wait at your door for an invitation- something which you had assumed in the past was simply their polite behavior.

~Rest under the cut~

Eating was easy enough to understand. Bloodhound explains that it varied, like humans, what they wanted one day. They could eat raw meat or very rare cooked meat, they could merely drain the blood from something but that took a lot of effort and different vein points to bite down onto to get a proper fill, and they vaguely hinted that there were other ways than that, but when you asked they didn’t elaborate. Merely brushed it off with a healthy flush to their cheeks and a, “Another time, my love.”

But they did admit they did not ever indulge in humans. Nor would they indulge in animals or beasts they had not killed by their own hand- it seemed improper to them. You asked about blood bags, but they had made a face akin to a child being offered vegetables so you assumed that was off the table. Though when you asked why not simply chomp anyone in the arena, going so far as to suggest that Mirage would probably love a death like that, Bloodhound had softly laughed.

“Feeding from...a person is seen as very intimate. And though Mirage is attractive, I am afraid you are the only one who holds my heart, my love.” They’d said softly to you, holding your hand that day and tracing patterns into your palm. Of course, this had started with you whining that you’d offered for them to chomp you since day one of being in a relationship, going so far as to gesture at your neck only for them to tell you that they were not hungry.

Despite the fact their eyes had lingered on your neck a little too long before they’d politely looked away.

Liar.

Now though, now in the season they’ve been looking a little...unhinged. In the arena they are normally ruthless, but now their ratings are higher than ever due to their need to chase their prey down. Bloodhound’s shots are on point with killer accuracy, to the point sometimes they take the last of their opponent down with their raven hatchet in hand. You start to notice it gets worse when they do not do their signature sign off of their kills, no longer taking the time to do a brief prayer for them, but instead seeming to linger a bit too long on the blood on their hatchet before wiping it off on their thigh.

You watch from the cameras like everyone else. You’re sure no one else would notice- their ratings were getting higher from this anyway. But you know for a fact they’re hungry. Bloodhound must not have had time to scope the island for fresh meat, or time to take a trip to the kitchen to find meat yet cooked and yet frozen. Regardless of the reason, your concern grows.

When this week’s matches come to a pause, you’re not surprised to hear the knock on your door- they normally return to your quarters to spend the weekend anyhow. Though as you answer the door, you’re surprised to see them in their casual clothing.

Their hair is pulled up into a ponytail, red curls sticking up here and there with a braid framing the side of their face and a raven feather braided into it. Their rounded glasses with red lenses hide their eyes, as well as the lower black face mask with white sharp teeth painted on the front hiding their lower face. A black lace bralette, their fur lined cropped leather jacket, and leather pants make your eyes near about wander and linger at the peeking underbust tattoo and thinking about licking the line from their--

“My love,” Bloodhound breathes out, their voice desperate.

“Right! Please, come inside!” You quickly reply, watching as they cross the threshold as if an invisible barrier had come down. They seem...frantic? The door being kicked shut behind them and you hardly have the time to open your mouth before you’re being scooped up from their impossible strength. You let out a laugh hooking your legs around their waist as their hands grab your ass and carry you straight to your bed.

You’re dressed in your lounge clothing. A loose t-shirt and matching lounge pants with some cute cliché green alien design on them. Certainly nothing fancy like their own clothing. But once they lie you down on your bed, they take just a moment longer to kick off their boots before they’re climbing on top of you, fitting between your spread thighs.

You smile up at them, plucking their glasses off their nose to set on the nightstand beside your bed and turn your head back in time to watch them unhook their mask to toss elsewhere in your room. When they lean down, you expect a kiss, but instead they nudge at the crook of your neck with a soft growl.

Immediately you roll your head to the side, allowing their lips to press hungry, open mouthed kisses over your jugular. It’s so sudden that you whine faintly in your throat, hands coming up so one can grab their shoulder and the other resting in the bulk of their ponytail. “H-Hound not that I mind or anything, but are you a--”

“Hungry.” They growl out against you, their split tongue sliding across your neck and making you shudder. “I have not been able to- ah- to have a moment to-” They groan lowly, as if irritated at their inability to speak. You gently shush them, pulling their ponytail lightly and watching them comply obediently to pull back and look at you.

Their good eye’s slit pupil is thinned out dangerously, their full lips parted and double set of sharp canines exposed. Bloodhound’s eyes are half lidded, heavy, as if they can’t get enough of your scent. They looked absolutely desperate, punctuated further by their whimper and their bottom lip wobbling attractively before they manage to choke out. “Please. Please, my sweet one. I shall be gentle, it will not hurt--- have you eaten?” It comes spilling out all at once, their tone desperate before concerned and you choke on a laugh.

“You don’t have to ask, you know, I’ve always been willing. And yes, I have eaten, it had sugar too so I won’t be fainting on you either.” You reply, gently tugging their hair so they’ll be guided back down to your neck. You adjust a little bit to be comfortable on your pillows, letting them shift their own body until they’re no longer on top of you. Bloodhound curled almost into your side, one arm over your chest and their face still buried into the crook of your neck. One of their legs slots against yours, the other tucked a bit over your thigh and hip as if they’re spooning into your side.

You’ve tugged their hair out of its ponytail. Idly massaging their scalp as Bloodhound mouths at your neck. They seem almost nervous, or teasing themself, their breaths coming out like soft, hushed growls instead. You give them a gentle tug to urge them, tensing yourself up when you feel the brush of their fangs.

“Relax.” You hear cooed into your mind, immediately feeling at ease and you suspect it’s some sort of ‘vampire magick’ happening. And then you feel it, the quick stab of their teeth that you’d only ever felt nips and scrapes of. It makes you jump lightly, a sharp gasp leaving your lips, fingers curling into their hair at the same time their arm seems to anchor you into place.

True to their word, it doesn’t hurt, merely just a quick burn before it soothed itself out. At first you expect that this feeding business was easier than you thought, easing your fingers in their hair and returning to massaging their scalp. You can feel the gentle suction on your neck, the vague feeling of their tongues lapping you up and the soft moans of contentment they let out.

And then you feel it. No, not pain, but this sort of...warmth. It blossoms from that area in your neck, curling down your spine until your eyes are fluttering and you feel your breath quickening, your heart rate matching. “H-Hound?” You whimper out, confusion in your tone, and they moan against you in response.

You think you’re figuring out why feeding off another person was ‘intimate’. You feel like you’ve been edged for hours. I just want to say, I know there no promo for this blog ( well there is but it’s hella old) & there no affiliates. There will be ^^

We started this blog in 2015 and used to reblog a lot then took a break, then reblogged then reblogged only our own edits and then life got in the way and we kinda let this blog die. THO, I’ve re-vamped the blog and brought it back to life recently. I want to help creators pass there work around as I know tumblr is a little shitty atm so I want to help.

Atm I’m currently coding a new theme for this blog, more of a fan site looking theme with affiliates and such ( when I look for them aha. ) when the theme is done tho I will do a promo for this blog saying about this blog and how we wanna help creators (: then rather on that post or a different one, I’ll ask if anyone wants to be affiliates ^_^

Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to say that I am working hella hard on this blog atm and trying to get it up and running again. Also wanted to say why there’s no affiliates yet aha. There will be when I’ve done the theme and posts (:

Rules Update!

Thanks for reading this if you do~ It’s been a while since I updated so it’s kinda long but it’s mostly just clean up/re-wording and adding a couple things I’ve been thinking about. If you have any questions or would like clarification on anything, please feel free to ask.

Under the “Basics” section:

I’M SLOW. I feel the need to stress this. Please do not follow me if you are not comfortable waiting a month for a reply to come out of my queue or if you don't want to wait for a starter to be written.

Give me 1-2 weeks to look at your blog and follow back. Not only am I busy but I want to make sure I read over your blog carefully. If you're a multi, or if your blog has small text/boxes, bright colors, or is very busy, it will take me longer to read over your blog and content. And if you can't wait that long then I feel we won't work as partners anyway.

Concerning memes: I try to not reblog a meme unless I've sent one. I typically try to reblog from the source as well. I love sending memes as ice-breakers for my anxiety but sometimes I am just too tired too. I also hoard memes sent to me and may answer them much later to the point that you forgot you sent it and I apologize in advance for that.

Any icons I put up for general use are under the tag "#free to use".

Under the “Writing” section:

On plotting: I know some people are put off by this but all I mean when I say this is that I would like to know which muse (there’s a lot), how our muses know each other (if they do), and the setting (unless it’s just them chatting). I’m a big fan of muses moving along the story themselves and talking if either of us gets blocked. I prefer plotting over starter calls so I will often do plotting calls instead.

Under a new section called “Queues”:

Fandom Queue: Posts at 10AM PST 1/day. These are all graphic posts for ships, muses, aesthetics, etc.

Primary Queue: Posts at 12PM PST 1/day. This queue is where the majority of my replies go. I try to keep this queue stocked at least for a week of posts but it has gone up to a month's worth of posts.

Secondary Queue: Post at 3PM PST 1/day. This is a scheduled, secondary queue for threads that I have high muse for. Just because our thread is in here once doesn't mean it will continue to be. I put threads here if I feel I can reply to them again very quick. This queue does not always have posts in it.

Re-vamped the “Tagging” section:

Replies

My muse's first and last name, if they have one. Ex. "#c: cid highwind"

My partner's URL, dashes omitted.

If my partner is also a multi, I will also tag "#URL: muse's name".

Asks will be answered in a text post and tagged "#answered asks".

Each character has their potential triggers listed on their bios so I will not tag triggers for replies unless requested to by my partner. Otherwise, you can blacklist their muse name.

Anything coming out of the queue will be tagged #queue to show that I am not here.

Graphic Posts

Triggering content such as suicide, death, blood, gore needles, clowns, and spiders, violence, alcohol. Ex. "#blood tw"

If you need something special tagged, please let me know even if you think it seems silly to others. Your mental health is important and I will tag it for you.

For fandom posts, I tag the fandom name. ex. #once upon a time, #disney, #marvel, #mcu etc.

Fandom posts are also tagged #fandom fodder. I try not to reblog too many fandom posts so that I don’t flood a different fandom with unrelated content, but it does happen on occasion.

Posts related to a character's aesthetic will be tagged with their aesthetic tag. Those have no set form but each tag is linked on their bios and can be found if you wish to avoid a character's aesthetics. Or you can ask me!

Hey there ✿

I’ve always ALWAYS played a fairly straight ACHOObasic game. Don’t get me wrong, it was fun, always bright & cheery, clean fun. My games of christmas past have always been mod free but the other absent thing from my game play is I never ventured into the land of the mystical - no aliens, ghost are instantly waved bye-bye and are sent straight to the bright beyond & my forgotten hollow was more for moderately curious science exploration, never for than vamps (sorry Vlad). It was never a conscious move, I just needed more room to build & expand my sunny world so I just booted the extra-ordinary out in favor of more space.

Enter Strangerville.

I love this pack, I got it originally for more build room but the alternate story line is entertaining, I’m having a blast. However it’s not fitting into my neat and tidy cookie cutter sunny world, I love how grotty some elements are.

So what do I do? The decision was easy & it’s kind of an exciting prospect...

Reality and I are taking a break.

Yes it’s time to make a new game and embrace ALL the oddities that are on offer from all my packs not just Strangerville. To help me I’m going to mod the bejeezus out of this world. This world, I’m naming SHADOW WORLD, is going to have something dark/mysterious/mystical/occult/grotty/ghoul-ish in every map, I’m going to Mad Madam Mim it all.

Some ideas I’m tossing around ATM are:

➞ Forgotten Hollow: Will once again have Vlad (it’s only fair) but BUT the big theme I want to work in here is the mad scientist route, I want an extreme psycho and his experiments to rule the roost here. I’m currently trying to find more whiz bang science clutter for this one... and things that go ZAPPPP.

➞ Willow Creek: I really want to pull on the New Orleans' French Quarter vibe where voodoo & black magics reign. I’ll eventually reblog some great mystic traits and outfits that I have found that I’m going to use but I’m still looking for the right builds. I do know the communal lots will have a strong bourbon street appeal. The mansions a strong plantation inspiration while the outskirts I want to try and make a bayou inspired zone.

➞ Selvadorada: Early days but I would love to have an over the top Quentin Tarantino From Dawn Till Dusk feel about this world. Currently looking for hog/bike clutter but would love for it to have that ancient aztec vamp and biker vibe.

➞ Oasis springs: I’m TORN!! I’m either going to go down the route of the whole Alien crash sight thing here, one plot will have the crash sight, the rest of the inhabitants are either conspiracy theorist or aliens in hiding (stereotypical, for sure, but sometimes the classics stand the test of time because they a goodies.) OR I’m going to turn the entire area into a Día de Muertos (day of the dead) inspired world where ghosts are a plenty and the map is ruled by one La Calavera Catrina. As I type I might go with one and the other theme try and make that work in Newcrest.

➞ Granite Falls : Is where my mischievous gypsies live, with their large caravan camp set up with roaming fortune tellers and dancers.

➞ Windenburg : There are two distinct areas I want to build. The island is where I want to play on the sea monster hype and cash in on the tourist trade (looking for loch ness toy clutter.) The main land is wizard and witch land, the town full is brimming with witchey shops like magic shops, herbalist shops, aged bookstores etc etc (think Diagon Alley) the rest I’m turning into a woodland zne where the wizards and witches live. There is a fantastic trait that gives your sims magic abilities (will reblog another time) so that will help. Black cats, black cats as far as the eye can see (and maybe the odd white owl... if I can find the mod lol.)

➞ San Myshuno ➞ Brindleton Bay ➞ Del Sol Valley

are all that are left and who knows how I can cram the mystical into those, was thinking maybe pirates for Brindleton but I want to go darker.... hrmm unsure.

So yeah, that’s my own challenge I’m setting myself this year :D
