Powerful Coils To Elevate Your Vaporiser

Whilst vape devices might seem simple on the surface, the reality is that there are many moving parts that make the device work. This is especially true of vape mods and variable devices, which are designed to be customisable. From atomisers to wicking cotton, there are many choices for you to make, one of the most important of which is the atomiser coil. 

Whether vaping Dutty Juice or Nicohit e liquids, the coil will be responsible for the power and draw that you receive from your device. With many different materials to choose from, it’s a good idea to get to grips with the kinds of coil that are right for your needs. Whether vaping on a temperature control device or a simple cigalike, it’s important to know how the coil fits the device, and how you can get the most out of your replacements.

How Does A Coil Work?

Put simply, the coil acts as the artery of the vape device. Connecting the battery with the atomiser, the coil transfers electricity from the former and into heat for the latter. This heats up the e-liquid saturated wicking cotton and ultimately creates vapour for you to inhale. The coil can come in many different shapes and sizes, and materials can suit some styles of vaping better than others. 

Ceramic Coil

A ceramic coil is known for being one of the most porous of coils due to its material not being metallic. The airy vapour draw that is produced is perfect for higher wattage devices and low nicotine e-liquids such as Uncles Vape. 

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel comes in a variety of grades, but the most popular is Grade 430 stainless steel. These coils are slightly magnetic and are incredibly resilient, making them the ideal coil to use in temperature control devices as they can last a very long time at high temperatures. 

Kanthal

Made from iron, chromium and aluminium, kanthal is popular due to its quick ramp-up time, heating up rapidly for a huge hit of vapour. This makes kanthal a vary good coil to use on wattage mode devices, but could be a little overwhelming on high nicotine Nicohit e-liquids.

Titanium

Titanium coils are perfect for homemade coil making as they are soft, malleable and easy to cut. Whilst a little more expensive than stainless steel coils, the clean and crisp taste that a titanium coil offers means it’s perfect for vaping rich flavours such as Purple Lush from Nicohits. Titanium coils are also compatible with temperature control devices, on which you’ll often find a TC Ti setting specifically designed for titanium coils.

Nickel

With many different nickel purities on the market, this metallic, low resistance coil is perfect for temperature control devices and sub-ohm devices. However, it’s not ideal for longer draws, and shouldn’t be used on high powered variable wattage or voltage devices. Nickel can react quite badly under high temperatures.

Nichrome

Nichrome is 20 percent nickel and 80 percent chromium - hence the name. These coils heat fast and are alloy protected from oxidation. Nichrome is an all-rounder and creates a satisfying vape hit.

  Bang Hai Towers are back this summer for Boomtown’s tenth chapter, held over the 9-12th August at Matterley Estate nr Winchester. The 60,000 capacity festival sold out in record time this year and it’s no surprise why with megastages such as this celebrating the best in underground music.

Bang Hai Towers is the Boomtown Fair’s communications hub and the headquarters of corporate sponsors Bang Hai Industries. A state of the art-multi channelled broadcasting facility that prides itself in bringing Boomtown into the digital era.

It’s also a massive, towering inferno of all things bass!

Night Bass will be waking up this towering inferno on Friday night, with bass heavy sets from; AC Slater swapping LA for Hampshire after spearheading UK underground music across the US, house injected with bass from Brummie duo Cause & Affect, wobbly basslines and ethereal vocals from Jack Beats,  heavyweight sounds by sledgehammer soundsmith’ Taiki Nulight and grime infused bass in large supply from Riddim Commission. Saturday sees a double whammy in takeovers; Saucy Records have big bass boy Barely Royal on offer as well as dubstep inspired bassline producer Pelikann – expect to hear some surprises from this huge label who have been releasing some of the best in underground bass music over the last year. Crucast Showcase bring bassline to Hampshire with genre fusion from dark jungle to funky bassline by Skepsis, jump up duty from Nottingham boy Darkzy and rising Bristol bassmith Notion to name a few. Sunday sees a massive set from Wookie B2B Matt Jam Lamont ft MC Vapour taking it back to the old school with their History of Garage. A rare back to back comes courtesy of underground pioneer DJ Zinc, techno-house head Eats Everything and a rare appearance from dance music underlord Special Request, ft Sgt Pokes and MC GQ.

This structural beast littered with television screens act as the city’s media house feeding into the festivals ongoing storyline as the main communication hub for the big bosses of Bang Hai Industries.
