Ok so,, pretty sure I got the Drowning Machine main 5’s day jobs figured out
Mikey (Borophage) - works at a diner in some way, shape, or form. Probably the cook or dishwasher
Dakota / Deadbeat - mechanic. They like working with cars
Axe (Taylor) - garbage man!!! He hangs off the back of the garbage truck
Lasker (Atrophy) - apprentice leatherworker (she probably brings back a scrap piece occasionally for Dakota to use as a chew toy)
Terry - gas station cashier over the summer, no job during school (he comes from a middle class family and is the most well-off of the 5)

So! I think I've figured out how to tag both the leosagi and leochi ships.
Since this is mainly a BLOG and not just a random social media page, it will be easier for me to organize the tags as if this were a more traditional blogging site. So I will be trying to keep the tags as few and as relevant as possible.
I'll be mainly using YuiNardo / yuinardo from now on for just the Yuichi Usagi/rottmnt Leo ship, and stuff like my own fanart. it's specifically "show x show" for me (Yuichi x Nardo, bc those are their unique names in their respective shows xD) and not some of the fan OC stuff
leosagi for the general 2003 Miyamoto Usagi/Leonardo ship but maybe also i.e. crossovers where ppl draw all the versions?
katanashipping also for 2003 leosagi? like I guess I'll decide based on how specific it gets (edit 1.05.23) definitely about 2003 leosagi, since that's where it originated from
I'll use 2003 leosagi when it gets more specific i.e. fanfic recs or longform comics which I wanna find later
Rise Leosagi for the 2018 versions that people have made their own, based on the Miyamoto/Leo ship (lol this might be difficult to retag, cuz I'm not sure what I've tagged with what anymore)
Sliderbunny for people's own versions of rottmnt Leo and (both romantic and platonic ships, cuz there aren't as many posts for this anymore)
and I guess Leochi for something more specific? like that's been the tag now for Leo/Yuichi but I'm not sure where it started from so idk how to use it but I guess I'll find out when I see more stuff in the tag lol. might use it just for reblogs/fanart but I’ll see
I can't remember any other names so those are it for now. I probably won’t use the longer names like Yuichi x Leo, Miyamoto x Leonardo etc just bc I find it tedious to use that many spaces in tags when tagging can be sorta annoying to do on mobile and then fix later on PC. I’m more of a “tag and go” kind of person and I like my tags to be easy to write.
like im sorry I write so much (I don't enjoy writing lenghty things) but i legit need to tag like an oldschool blog occasionally bc I ENJOY finding stuff on my own blog later. it just makes sense! it is so confusing going thru multiple tags for the same thing when it could have a singular tag. or a single new tag for a specific use. and I've forgotten to do that after using social media so much for so long lol
anyway this isn't that important i am just chillin and remembered that I thought of this and needed to post it so I wouldn't forget.
more related random thoughts under the cut!
Thinking of that, I guess the tag clogging starts to make sense, considering how much people are more used to the "tag clouds" popularized by twitter and instagram and social-media-like sites before those (the sites inbetween blogging and web 2.0, maybe, but didn't really use those as much so I don't remember either) + the confusion about what the og leosagi was (+ maybe general tmnt fandom confusion over various versions of media for the franchise)
lol it's gonna take a bit long but I'll reorganize the blog more once I have a bit of time on the side from other stuff. now it feels nice that this blog isn't actually that big yet. I don't use sideblogs very long usually and it's my first time actually making anything TMNT related for this long, so it'll be interesting seeing where this blog will go in general. like how it's probably been subtle that while this userhandle/blog started as a tMNT sideblog, I actually have started blogging more about Usagi Chronicles now bc I like the show. and idk what else I'll post if I have time but I will probs keep it as a reblog blog anyways!
I try not to write long blog posts on tumblr anymore but I think the whole "leosagi-leochi tag clogging" point brought up in the "Why do we ship leosagi" video is also just a good point abt how we don't really treat blogs like blogs anymore. every sort of behaviour online has become so influenced by the want to make it trend or have it at least be read at all ("social media" aspect of online behavior now) that even stuff like ao3, a fanfic site, will have tags like "AO3 algothithm, PLEASE be nice to me" when sites like that don't even HAVE algorhithms. it's interesting to think about but also a bit sad on the side because that "tag clouding" does seem to be the only way for some works to become noticed on the above-mentioned actual social media sites. this almost makes me miss sites like deviantart and blogger because things always felt more centralized and easy to find vs twitter, insta or occasionally even tumblr.
ANYWAY
lol all this just to organize my thoughts on ship tags
if you've read this far, lemme know if there are any other tags ppl use? or are there any other types of tagging conventions we should bring back i.e. mashing the names together?

@callmecatman:
"Hey; hey. It's not my fault you always beat me at pool. You played dad for years." Nelle laughed, somewhat inebriated, enough that her head had that pleasant fuzziness to it which had her sticking out her tongue at her 'Uncle' Blake. He was older than her, but not by a whole lot, her father just happened to be in his thirties when he had become friends with Blake.
"So, go on. What's my punishment?" She asked, sitting up on the edge of the table and setting down the cues. "I promise I won't break the rules and say no again."

tumblr adding the ability to view the tags someone added to a post they reblogged from you in the mobile app out of nowhere after we as a user base have been demanding this feature incessantly since at least 2012......now, in 2021, nearly a decade later when i’d long since assumed this site would just die before it ever gave me an in-platform way to view retags without an extension........
they really said “fuck it, let’s throw em a bone before we pull the plug on this goddamn money pit” and you know what staff.....if this is your death knell i accept. take her off the life support babe. she’s brain dead. it’s her time to go

// Please excuse me if I'm really slow, I've made a new blog for Kaaras and I'm letting it simmer a while before I actually see if I'll MAKE the change over. There's nearly 6 years worth of content on this blog, some good, amazing, enjoyable and some bad, ugly and cringe worthy.
I'm trying to weigh out the pros and cons and the only cons are sentimental value (which I'd still be keeping this blog as an archive anyway), the amount of activity on here, love and passion over the years that I've put here, and the fact that I don't have to switch back and forth between personal and RP blogs on mobile, my inability to cope with change >.< A slow and tedious process of rebloging all the content I'd wish to carry over.
The pros are mutuals don't have to try and work out if I'm still following them or not, IC asks and comments not having to be from a sideblog, a CLEAN blog that I can retag and not have to worry about finding old, cringy content, a refreshed start away from old headcanons that may contradict later posts due to development, the fact that there's a whole lot of blocked content due to pre Tumblr ban on this blog that won't carry over to the new one, no weird gaps, active blogs following me not 700 dead ones.
I'm still not entirely sure what I want to do which is why I'm letting it simmer. I know I want to and I'm just scared to make that leap which is making me extremely anxious but this blog has been a labour of love and I don't want to feel like it's gone to waste somehow?

Greetings from Microsoft Ignite 2018.  It’s already been a busy year for Content Services at Microsoft.  Organizations large and small have turned to Microsoft for our content management solutions.  Today, as we celebrate our customers’ success, we’re also please to share the news of our latest innovations:
File card – Deliver contextual intelligence about files in Office 365, including readability and key prints analysis [Coming Q4 2018]
Central asset library – Register multiple SharePoint libraries as preferred locations to supply digital assets during page authoring [Coming early 2019]
Mobile capture - Integrate file and metadata gathering to SharePoint from remote devices [Coming Q4 2018]
Document templates – Simply add document templates to the New menu in document libraries [Rolling out now]
Predictive indexing – Add indexes to lists and libraries of any size, up to 30 million items [Coming Q4 2018]
Modern document sets – Use the modern user experience to work with document sets in SharePoint [Coming year end 2018]
PowerApps integration with SharePoint libraries – Build apps and forms that use SharePoint libraries as a data source [Coming Q4 2018]
Updates to taxonomy APIs – Develop solutions that create and consume content types and terms from the Managed Metadata Service using REST-based APIs [Coming Q4 2018]
Flow for document management – Use Microsoft Flow to move and copy files in Office 365, and generate shareable links [Coming Q4 2018]
SharePoint Server 2019 – Deploy modern lists and libraries, with attention views, bulk edit, filters panes and more on premises [Coming Q4 2018]
File plans - Import, manage, and classify multiple retention rules using Excel-based formats [Coming Q4 2018]
Label analytics – Explore usage, trends, and content for each applied retention label [Coming Q4 2018]
Metadata-driven labels – Automatically apply retention labels to content with rules based on content types and metadata [Coming Q4 2018]
Immutable labels – Tag documents with an “immutable” mark it as irreversibly unchangeable and undeletable to comply with special regulatory requirements. [Coming Q4 2018]
Let’s take a deeper look at some of these.
  File card
The file card allows you to hover over a file name in Office 365 to explore new content intelligence, such as readability and key points found in the documents.  Key points can also be edited directly in SharePoint.  [Coming Q4 2018]
Tumblr media

  Central asset library
Images and other digital assets help tell a more dynamic story.  SharePoint pages can already consume images and logos form Web search, file upload, and site assets.  Now, the new central asset library lets you register one or more document libraries with images to be available anywhere in SharePoint for adding images – such as page headers, galleries, or web parts. [Coming early 2019]

  Mobile capture
The OneDrive mobile app is an easy way to scan documents and images into SharePoint or OneDrive.  From on-the-go workers to traditional office locations, people need to be able to capture images for uses like site inspection, meeting notes, lab activities or event management.  But integrating new documents into business processes often requires custom metadata to allow business process to run quickly and with precision – without waiting for someone to retag images inside a browser.   Now, mobile capture on OneDrive lets you enter any default metadata when you’re saving files directly to a SharePoint library.  [Coming Q4 2018]

  File plans
Office 365 already provides data governance labels to establish rules for records management and retention.  Later this year we’ll be augmenting those with hierarchical file plans, allowing you to manage a range of retention labels with identifiers, departments, categories, statutory references and more.  File plans can be exported from Office 365 for easy editing in Excel, and then reimported to update label rules.

Labels and label analytics
Establishing information rules is just the start of governance.  You also need to measure the application and usage of labels to understand how your file plans are effective, and where they may require updates.  Label analytics allows you to map and review the usage of retention labels, providing feedback to help continuously adjust and improve governance.
Tumblr media
Label analytics
Microsoft has already had labels to establish retention and records management.  Later this year, we’re releasing two new label capabilities:
Immutable record labels, to be used to make content permanently unchangeable and undeletable
Sensitivity labels – which can be applied to content to enforce security behaviors such as encryption, watermarking, data loss protection and remote device access. Sensitivity labels can also be applied by default to a container, such as a SharePoint site, to enforce security standards on all the content in that location.

i have too many thoughts bouncing around in my head so uhhhh im gonna talk abt shit
welcome 2 episode 43647 of my shitty slice-of-life text post series
school tomorrow i dont wanna go!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! depressions been hitting me tf up like some kind of MotherFucker n im so tired i h8 both of my classes i just want 2 lie down & turn into the floor -______________-
read 12 chapters of fma yesterday its good............. i dont love it yet but im definitely entertained so far & looking forward to getting further into it
also started reading silver spoon & it turns out the things i hated in the 1st ep of the anime didnt even happen in the manga who fuckin knew (im sorry i doubted u arakawa) so im actually enjoying the series a lot more this second time around! though that’s probably partly because i got rly attached to the protag halfway through s2 & now i get to dig out all the little signs of his low sense of self-worth on the reread so like. im having fun lol (watching him react to being told about livestock being offed for under-performing just the smallest bit again is..... so good.......)
watched all of aggretsuko today, like the original 100 shorts & the new series, it was p good! i honestly never planned to watch it bc like. i hate death metal / screaming bc it gives me anxiety & i knew this show would aggravate that but idk i heard good things about it from literally everywhere so i was like w/e im in the mood today i’ll just try it out & i blasted through it and enjoyed it v much
i think i like the shorts better than the show but that might be bc i watched the shorts first & got used to their rhythm? but at the same time i feel like the concept generally works better as little 1-minute tidbits. the show is a bit awkward sometimes in comparison but it’s a v good adaption regardless. it was interesting to see the concept executed 2 different ways at least. v fun show!
mmmmm still working on my silan portrait kind of!! i took a break for 2 days because 1. depression and 2. i was a fucking fool and played a Lot of piano on thursday so that put me out of physical commission for 2 days (honestly i was still feeling it today but i rly wanted to get back to work before it started to fade into yet another unfinished project). so yeah i got back to work on it today, and made some decent progress i think!
i mentioned in my other post that im working in clip studio paint, a program im not used to painting in, and i’ve definitely been struggling trying to get used to all these weird brushes but i think im slowly coming to an understanding and finding a technique that works for me? there’s an “oil paint” brush that’s good for blending & previously i was trying to use only that, since in photoshop i never switched to other brushes, i only used the one (hard round). the oil paint brush being a blending brush though, it’s basically impossible to lay down any new color on top of the old ones because the new color automatically blends with the old ones instead of coming out pure, so as a result all of my shading was coming out super soft and light which is not the effect i’m going for
so i found that using a different brush to lay down color first and then going in with the oil to blend made a huge difference & i was finally able to get in the darker shadows i wanted, but there was still the problem of details because like. the oil brush blends rly soft and it makes everything look kind of fuzzy, and it’s especially hard to deal with small areas for details
so today i started experimenting with a “watercolor” brush, which is basically just a normal brush with low opacity, and i’ve found it’s a good kind of middle ground between blending and carving in details, so that gave me a lot more control and is probably the closest i’ve gotten to my old painting style when i was working in photoshop
this whole process has just been rly confusing & im sure there are easier ways to go about this but i know i’ll get the hang of it eventually & get some good use out of this program, & it’s good to experiment with new tools i guess so?? it’s all good?? i’ll be honest im getting tired & this topic is kind of getting away from me uhhhh in conclusion im still working on the thing & i dont know when i’ll be done but i’m gonna fuckin. Keep at it
back to aggretsuko for a sec, something i rly noticed was the ost is?? really good????? i wanted to listen to it while i drew but i couldnt find it on yt & that’s like the extent of my music search capabilities on the internet so im p sad abt that bc that was like my fave part of the show rip
instead i listened to houseki no kuni’s ost which is fuckin beautiful ugh i finished that show a few weeks ago & it was very very gorgeous, like. weird and disjointed and a little tangential but fuck if it’s not put together in such an artful way that i can forgive all of that like what a way to create an atmosphere what a way to adapt a fuckin manga?? i tried reading the manga a bit bc lets be honest that anime ending was super unsatisfying but it just?? wasnt the same??? theres something abt the show being a 3d show and having the music to accompany its visuals & the way they did the lunarians especially holy fuck, it’s a completely different experience watching the show vs reading the manga & now im sad bc i want a s2 rly rly bad,,,;;;
anyway i didnt mean to talk abt hnk so much lol uh. i ended up listening to the op a thousand times bc god when i say the music for this show is rly good i mean it, both the op & ed are fuckin great (speaking of the ed that gorgeous animation holy shit,) along with its super atmospheric bgm just. god
as a reward for anyone who read through all this shit lmao here listen to hnk’s op it’s super good i promise
also watch the ed lmfao trust me it was a gift benevolently bestowed upon my eyeballs and now so too shall it be upon thine
anyway im fuckin tired & i think that’s all i wanted to say so like. peace

bghhhhhhhhh
i came up w/ a new fic idea (this time for osos & yes ofc it’s a kara angst like who do u think i am) & i really wanna try to write it but it’s like. it’s more like i came up with a really good premise for a fic but i have no idea how to actually turn it into a story??
because it’s like. the timeline of the story would be separated into two halves, essentially, the past and the present. the story would start in the present, and the events of the past would be revealed gradually over the course of the story. but the problem is that the events of the present don’t actually have any weight unless you know what happened in the past, so i feel like a lot of things that i want to be a big deal would end up falling flat because of that. also it seems like weird pacing to have big dramatic things happen right at the beginning of the story idk
but it’s not like i can tell the story chronologically to give those moments the proper impact because that would defeat the purpose of separating the past and the present in the first place? and it would make for a much less interesting story imo, like if things just happen in order then it’s. bad. the events of the past are an extremely Bad Time tbh so the whole fic would just be completely miserable all the time & i don’t want that either??
i guess my other problem is i haven’t thought very far ahead in terms of the present, like i planned out basically the entire timeline of the past leading up to the present but now i have no idea where to go with the present timeline like?? i have some vague ideas of how i want the characters to develop and an idea or two about overarching themes but in terms of the actual plot..,.,., nothin
so im just hhhhhh over here feelin stuck bc it’s not coming to me very naturally like maybe i just need to sit and really think things out? i mean duh ofc i need to think & plan before making a story but just. it usually happens faster than this like usually im like “got an idea Bam that happens and then Bam this and that and etc etc” like ok maybe a bad explanation but usually once i have an idea things flow pretty naturally but for this one im like “ok here’s the premise and the backstory now let’s write” and nothing’s happening it’s just like crickets chirping up there like oh ok i see how it is alright then
so yeah maybe i’ll just sit down for a few more brainstorming sessions and really try to hash out my priorities w/ this story & see where things go from there idk
at the same time tho i dont wanna start too many big projects at once like i already have this other fic im working on so i dont wanna let that fall to the side when i’ve already gotten so far on it and also i kind of already have this other oso fic idea that i picked out to be my next big project so i mean. i’d basically have to pick between that one and this one to be next and hhhh theyre both so good idk? what to do??
aaanyway tho that’s enough of that. vague rambling about projects on my blog. my signature move. im gonna go to bed i stayed up too late to write this bye
