hey im glad you like it! entanglement swk (and my other swks) use he/she/they/any pronouns, so shed probably be genderfluid, although i usually dont think too hard about labels, in part because i cant see a being as old as swk using modern terms to refer to herself. same with macaque, i hc him nonbinary but i dont think hed call himself that specific word.

Hilarious how everyone's first reaction to baby stone monkeys is now to look to Wikong as the mother xD

I think Wukong is delighted to be referred to by *any* parental title, given that he's been known affectionately as "Grandpa Sun" by the younger generation of monkey demons since before his Heaven days.

I feel like his preferred titles/terms would be "Baba/dad/father" - but he's ok with being called the Egg's "mother/mom" in a medical/casual sense, since he associates those terms with whoever carried the infant. Plis for the longest time he considered himself the *only* parent to the Stone Egg. He hoards parental titles like the relics in his treasure room.

Once Macaque comes back, and everyone assumes he sired Wukong's baby, the King prefers them both be called the Eggs "dads/fathers" collectively. Mac in addition prefers to be called "bama" singularly.

Plus the title of "mother" gives him some social benefits - hard for a person to argue with him when he busts out the "Yeah, but I'm a mother, I know best"-card >:)

I just imagined a little scenario where the Meta-Knights in my Meta Knightmare AU are playing through The Subspace Emissary in Smash Bros. Brawl in 2008 MSK, or at least the adults watching then-teenaged Susie and Sirica play it. (Yes, they would have been fighting to see who would play as Meta Knight even before they found out how broken he was.) Specifically, I can imagine them all watching the cutscene where the Halberd reaches that big Subspace portal and they're all excited to see her fly, only for Ganondorf's giant ship to just absolutely annihilate it even more than it ever was going into the Secret Sea. Then all of them would probably just be staring awkwardly at each other and just forget that ever happened. (Keep in mind that at this point in time, they were just starting to refurbish the Halberd.)
