I most certainly can! Gender-neutral Reader. Anyone can read this, you are just a member of the Host Club (remember that Benibara charmed the girls in Lobelia).

Does not include Haruhi. Feel free to request her, though.

Tamaki Suoh

Before he truly got to know you, he was aware that you were of noble descent (probably because of Kyoya). Your family owned a winery, and a lot of rich families loved to import the wine from your specific winery. Hence why you got all that dough.

However, he also knew of your father’s passing. Since you were the oldest out of you and your younger brother, you inherited the business as well as the money. It also left you with habits of isolation that he tries repeatedly to break through. Eventually, you accept his invitation to the Host Club. After all, ladies like people with tragic backstories.

Eventually, he cracks through your cold exterior and gets to the gentle person that lies underneath. He charmed his way into your heart, so to speak. All the visitors notice the chemistry between the two of you and absolutely eat it up. One of the girls even pushed Tamaki to confess, which he did.

He confessed to you underneath one of the cherry blossom trees. His palms were sweaty and his knees were heavy (there’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti). A huge weight was lifted off of his shoulders when you accepted the rose and placed a kiss on his cheek. He was frozen in shock as blush erupted on his face.

Kyoya Ootori

He was also aware of the family you came from. In fact, he was the one who suggested getting you recruited into the Host Club. You were from a very rich family, and you just became heir to the winery that his parents often order wine from.

Kyoya also knew of your father’s passing, and that’s how you became the heir of your family’s assets. Also, your younger brother was said to be a flirt. Even if that was the case, the Vice President saw more value in you than him. People love to romanticize a single, saddened person who is surrounded by alcohol.

You do eventually join the Host Club, and you both work side-by-side together in running the financial aspect of it all. That’s how you grew closer together, and now we can see Tamaki pushing Kyoya to confess his undying love for you.

He actually takes his advice, and tells you in passing. You weren’t the type to make a big deal out of things, so he figured this wouldn’t be an exception. You nearly dropped the folder you held, had you not been keeping a vice-like grip after he let it slip. You told him that you felt the same way, and he gently pressed a kiss to your temple before getting back to work.

Mitsukuni “Honey” Haninozuka

Let’s be honest, you were probably shocked to see a child-like person running around Ouran Academy looking for sweets. It wasn’t a usual occurrence for you, especially since you had just recently transferred here with your younger brother.

Honey knew about you, but he didn’t know you. When Tamaki gave orders to get you recruited, he tried to use his child-like charm to try and get you to accept. Who can refuse him? Obviously not you, because you agreed.

He has to admit that your routine also worked on him for whatever reason. You would pour the visitors some drinks as you talked about taking care of them, if only they would accept your alcohol-earned money. To set aside all they ever knew and allow you to protect them. He kept getting distracted from work, and Kyoya encouraged him to confess so that he could get back on track.

One day, he hands you a box. When you opened it, you found that it was a cake he made for you. The frosting on top read as follows: “Will You Go Out With Me?” You let a small smile grace your face for a moment before accepting. After all, who can refuse him?

Takashi “Mori” Morinozuka

It was an unusual sight for you, seeing a tall (fine-looking) gentleman escorting a child-looking student around Ouran Academy. You both officially met when you stopped him to ask him for directions to a certain class. Turns out, you both were heading in the same direction.

Tamaki had told the whole Host Club about your known history when he simultaneously ordered them to ask you to join the club. Instead of pulling off any sort of stunt, he just asked you like a freaking normal person. He felt glad that you accepted, but he didn’t show it.

He was secretly happy that you took to being a host so quickly. The host life wasn’t for everyone, after all. In fact, you got the most requests. He grew slightly envious of all your visitors, since you had them hooked onto your sad, ‘lonely’ charm. He didn’t get distracted, but Honey noticed and told him that he should tell you.

He eventually did, with a note. He wasn’t great with words, so a note would be the next best thing for him. It was surprisingly very sweet and romantic. As Eliza from Hamilton said, “He made palaces out of paragraphs”. He let a smile out when you accepted his confession.

Hikaru Hitachiin

Like with Haruhi, he was in a few of your classes. When you were introduced to everyone (as you were a late transfer), you both met each other’s gaze. He quickly looked away, but he knew karma had to get back at him because you were sat right next to him.

When the President of the Host Club voiced his desire to have you join them, he was exasperated. No one would allow him to get you out of his mind, would they? After class, he decided to ask if you would be interested in being a host, and he was surprised when you accepted.

He honestly thought you made a great host. You even charmed a lot of the other hosts, and the visitors… don’t even get me started. Your promises of taking them away and taking care of them really felt like a personal attack for him because it secretly made him swoon. However, he constantly got distracted because of you. Kaoru eventually made him go confess to you.

When he did, he decided to do it in a very unorthodox fashion. He requested you to be his host, and in your private session he told you about his feelings for you. He let out a breath of relief when you accepted his love.

Kaoru Hitachiin

He was also in a few of your classes. He was appointed to show you around Ouran Academy. It was then that he got a text from Tamaki. He explained that he had to go because there was an emergency Host Club meeting.

The next time you both met up with each other, you asked about the Host Club. He gave you the basic introduction, and he remembered that Tamaki had asked him to recruit you. He was absolutely ecstatic when you agreed to become a host.

He also thought you were a great host. Not only did you bring in mountains of revenue, but you also got into his head. You were like a siren, talking to others about your sad story and how you would never leave him them. He started getting distracted, and Hikaru got angry and made him confess to you.

He did it by handing you a rose everyday for a week. When he gave you the 7th rose, you knew what he was up to and accepted his feelings. He wrapped his arms around you in a hug, just happy as happy can be.

I did MM last time I did a request like this so now it’s OHSHC time :)

Tamaki: Tamaki would think it was the cutest thing in the entire world. He was always over-the-moon enthusiastic whenever they asked for affection, and with open arms, teary eyes, and red cheeks he would give them whatever it was they asked for. He adored every time they asked and never grew tired of it because to him it was only ever an indicator of just how in love with him they were. Really in love. Not for money and popularity, but what him, and who he was, and what he offered to just them.

Kyoya: Kyoya would always smile and offer deep gratitude. While he would never expect such things from a partner, random acts of affection were definitely things he looked for in a partner. “Thank you darling,” he’d say, pecking them whenever they brought him something sweet. He thought them randomly asking for affection was sweet; a reminder of how genuinely they felt about him. It gave him a sense of authority and power. A sense of purpose and drive. A sense of wanting. They made him feel wanted; genuinely. For more than just his money or looks.

Hikaru: Hikaru would always smirk, but his ears were the only things that would ever go red. “Of course you can,” he’d always say, plainly and softly. He never made them feel silly for asking, but he was always secretly astonished when they did. Did they really like him that much? Him? Of all people? It always felt reassuring. Whenever he doubted his ability to date, they’d ask him for affection and he felt cared for all over again.

Kaoru: Kaoru would think it was so precious. He’d laugh, arms wide, and accept them entirely, giving them whatever it was they asked for; kisses, a hug, a sweet reminder, anything. He always felt reassured by their love, but them asking for affection from him always made his heart soar. It reminded him just why he fell in love with them to begin with. “You will always get affection out of me,” he’d say. And he meant it, and they both knew that.

Mori: Mori wold think it was adorable, even though he often sucked at showing just how happy the gestures made him. He’d stare, drinking them in to make sure they were being serious, then would smirk. “Come here,” he’d say, an rm extended to them, inviting them closer. He’d always give them the affection they asked for, and would thank them sweetly whenever they offered him gifts. He always smiled, and gave them tight hand squeezes and sweet kisses, but wasn’t as outwardly excited as other Host Club members. It just wasn’t in is nature. H expressed his gratitude softly.

Honey: Honey would think it was the cutest thing ever and would completely meet the halfway. He would always greet their sweet questions with excitement. “Of course you can have a hug!” He’d say, arms wide and smile beaming. “And of course you can have a kiss!” He always tried to do the same back to them later that day; asking the same sweet questions. He never wanted them to feel as though their affection wasn’t reciprocated exactly. It so so was.

Sick Host headcanons

Haruhi: When Haruhi’s sick she all she does is sleep it off and drink a lot of tea.

Kyoya: Kyoya ignores it as long as possible, taking medications on the regular and pushing through it.

Honey: Honey reverts to a small child clinging to Mori with tears in his eyes cuddling his bunny. He doesn’t mind the medicine even though he scrunches up his nose when he has to take it.

Tamaki: Tamaki is also clingy when he’s sick, he buries his head in Haruhi’s chest while Haruhi just strokes his hair.

Mori: Mori is the only one with a normal reaction to getting sick. He gets plenty of rest and takes medication if needed to get better as soon as possible.

Hikaru: One of the worst reactions to being sick! He pretends he’s fine when he obviously is shaking and has a fever. He constantly denies he’s sick and refuses medicine just because he “doesn’t need it”

Kaoru: Just as bad as Hikaru, practically a small grumpy toddler, he refuses medicine because he despises the taste, and claims he’s not tired even though he could obviously fall asleep within minutes.

General Victorian headcanons for Honey, the twins, and Kyoya from OHSHC?

For clarification, this all takes place in Victorian England.

Honey

Mori and Honey grew up together; both of their families were fairly close, and had either of them been female, they would’ve undoubtedly been wed for their families’ interests.

Although they were the same age, Honey always acted more childish.

He loved travelling to London to peruse the toy stores, but Honey’s favorite leisuretime activity was attending theatrical productions. This hobby always surprised everyone (including the rest of the hosts) when they learned of it for the first time.

Being a rather effeminate boy in Victorian England, boys would often jeer at Honey throughout his primary education. They’d quickly be stopped by a threatening Mori, but Honey became somewhat self-conscious of his appearance for awhile.

That all changed when he entered boarding school: he and Mori became roommates with the overly enthusiastic Hitachiin twins, who threw away basically all proper rules of social etiquette that socialites followed in favor of having fun. Instead of mocking Honey’s appearance, they just laughed and told him that they didn’t care about appearances: they just had to make sure that he and Mori wouldn’t snitch on any of their pranks.

Honey ran into Tamaki and Kyoya, one day, after the blonde ran into their room screaming bloody murder. Honey later found out that it was because one of their roommates, Nekozawa, had read his future with tarot cards and declared that Tamaki would die within a few days. Following closely behind them was a spooked Kasanoda, their other roommate.

Honey immediately befriended Kasanoda, and was delighted to find out that the red head also enjoyed attending plays. Kasanoda would be the person to introduce Honey to Oriental sweets, which Honey grew addicted to.

Twins

Being twins of a noble family was sort of awkward. Hikaru, being the elder son, was raised to a higher standard: he had to be intelligent, athletic, dashing, charming – the whole package. Kaoru, on the other hand, was raised to be his “support” (the “spare” is the insult some may spit at him, but Hikaru punches them in the face right after: nobody insults his brother), so he grew up more spoiled.

Hikaru felt burdened by his family’s expectations of him, and Kaoru was noticing. So, one day, the younger twin decided that enough was enough, began studying business with a fervor that few could match, and marched up to their parents one day and declared that he was competent enough to join Hikaru’s lessons and help his twins run the company. (Later, in private, he’d tell Hikaru: “I couldn’t let you shoulder the burden alone.”)

The twins discovered one day the delight of insect collecting. To the horror of all the staff and their parents, the two noble sons would traverse the Hitachiin property, dirtying their clothes and returning to the mansion exhausted, unkempt, but triumphant.

Later, their hobby would shift towards science, instead. They were particularly fond with experimenting on Edison’s light bulb.

There was one day, in boarding school, when they managed to cajole Kyoya into giving them some of the anesthesia his family had been investing in. Needless to say, the school banned any sorts of drugs (whether they were medical or not) from the school the following week.

Sometimes, they’d slip into shady areas. They befriended an eccentric, female opiate dealer named Renge, who was happy to supply them with some for their scientific experiments.

Kyoya discovered their stash of opium one day and demanded a thorough explanation, dammit. It took awhile to reassure him that they didn’t become drug addicts.

Kyoya

Kyoya’s family dappled in various new medical practice. From a young age, he was used to his father coming home with bright eyes and long-winded explanations of newly-discovered medical treatments. Most of them ended up being hoaxes, though, so Kyoya was rather skeptical when he heard of the Fujioka family’s improved anesthesia.

His concerns were proved unfounded, however, when he personally met the good doctor and his daughter himself. Haruhi Fujioka was probably one of the most intelligent girls that he had ever met, and Kyoya often ruminated about how different her life could have been if she was a male.

So, it was no surprise that when Kyoya joined boarding school, he planted the idea of co-gender education in his noisy roommate Tamaki’s mind. The blonde’s blithe, airy attitude was dwarfed by his kindness and consideration, after all, and it only took a few carefully planted suggestions before Tamaki petitioned his father to open up the school to the public.

Of course, there was some outrage amongst the nobles. Their sons, the most elite of the elite, learning alongside commoners? And women?

However, there were plenty of staunch supporters of Tamaki’s proposal: the loudest voices were the Hitachiins, Haninozukas, Ootoris and Morinozukas.

So the school decided to do a trial run; whoever that would willingly participate in the experiment would join a coed class. Kyoya tactfully suggested for Haruhi Fujioka to be one of the girls for the trial runs.

And that’s how the shenanigans of Class X started. They were better known as the Host Club because of their frivolous, silly activities and colorful personalities.

omg okay I’m really hyped to write this :)))

Haruhi: Haruhi would hate everything about it, but would remain civil and respectable when arguing why she shouldn't be married off to someone she didn’t get to pick herself. She’d be frustrated, but figured she was better off speaking with the person she was to be ‘marrying.’ Speaking with said person, they were both fairly rational and understanding. Haruhi would like them, but marriage was not something she wanted on the table. “I just think this whole thing is stupid.” They’d agree. To that, she had some respect.

Tamaki: Tamaki would feel numb to it. He hated not having any freedom in his life, but knew there was no use in fighting. Fighting it would only make things worse for him. He’d be polite when meeting the, professional and courteous; a stereotypical gentleman. He would treat them as if he was treating someone at a business meeting. He would force his gaze to stay on them no matter how badly he wanted it to wander. He just couldn't bring his focus to stay put.

Kyoya: Kyoya would be fairly okay with it, despite preferring wanting to find his own partner. If an arranged marriage was what needed to happen, he’d oblige. Meeting them, he would be respectable and kind; a true gentlemen. Truthfully, come the end of their first meeting, he would see that they were in the same boat as him and would find himself more comfortable around them; more appreciative. Toward the end, he would even grow a bit of a soft spot for them. That was to be his person, after all. Maybe it wouldn’t be too bad after all.

Hikaru: He would think it was ridiculous, and would lash out and not be afraid to say so. “What’s the point? Why am I being forced into this? Why do I not get a say in the biggest decision of my life?” He’d be aggressively bitter, especially come the time he needed to meet his person. Truthfully, he’d feel a little guilty that they were roped into it too. He’d still be bitter, and quiet, and would choose to not engage with them much, but internally, he pitied them.

Kaoru: Kaoru would feel uncomfortable. He would try to find a way out of it, but would inevitably cave. “I don’t want to do this.” He’d say plainly, but knew it was no use. He’d be polite when meeting his person, professional and kind, although his smile would never quite meet his eyes. They were sweet and nice, and he liked them, but it left a bad taste on his tongue knowing that marrying them wasn’t his choice. Maybe if it was, he would’ve been more up for it. His smiles were always tight and tense, forced, vacant.

Mori: Mori would be completely indifferent. While he wouldn’t prefer it, he wouldn’t complain or argue. Meeting his person, he would be his usual self. Quiet, speaking minimally, more so a listener rather than a speaker. Really, he felt like he got along with them well. Their personality was sweet and it meshed well with his. He liked being able to listen to them. They were friendly and sweet. He’d smile for the last half of their meeting, undeniably enjoying their company.

Honey: Honestly, Honey would be excited. Would he want to choose someone himself? Yes, but he also knew he’d be hard-pressed to run into someone he didn’t get along with.
