Mikey and Donnie as well using elements for metaphors: These two I feel like are the most different with very little if any in commmon. Donnie is earth. He is grounded. Too grounded in logic and in his head. He over thinks. He is skilled just like his brothers of course. But he is the least skilled our of them. Why most of his ninja skill is defensive(or I'm the case of rise uses tech). In contrast Mikey is the wind. His name literally means angel. He could be the most skilled of his brothers. He certainly has the talent. His problem, but more so he choices not to. He has his head in the clouds and is flying high in the sky. Basically you have to complete opposites earth and air. Yet they are always paired off together on two reasons, they're the youngest, and not as skilled as their older brothers.

Aww, have you been reading my 2012 fic AU where Mikey is literally the team oxygen? He's air, Don is earth, Raph is fire, Leo is water.

Well... the one I'm most proud of is "Laugh Til It Hurts" but I couldn't really pick out my best.

As for audience favorites, I feel like "The Spirit Within" has been pretty popular.

A few of my fics were winners in past fanfic competitions. And I've gotten some really wonderful comments on "I'll Fall With Your Knife."

My RP turned fic with @remmushound "I Would Not Wish Any Companion In The World But You" has the most kudos I think, but it's really fucking long and still going, I have no idea when we'll stop.

There are other RPs I'm thinking of turning into fics. And I only just started "Burnt Orange"

People really don't understand that what Mikey's brothers do to him is fucked up yes they love him of course they are family but this doesn't excuse all their actions just like it doesn't excuse his but they need to understand that loving someone doesn't mean your not toxic and problematic espiaclly how they show it sometimes they have flaws just like everybody else so I find it really annoying how they play the their brothers or I have a sibling we beat the shit out of each other to oblivion and act like it's normal sibling behavior and me as someone with a sibling that is not true at all they just don't understand and I'm sorry you deal with them sending threats.

I'll never understand the mindset, but it's a thing. I know people who were physically maimed by their siblings, and some have no contact while others are extremely close. The sibling dynamic is so varied that nobody in the fandom is in complete agreement.

Years ago when Rise was initially popular, a weird war was started between Rise fans and 2012 fans over the siblings' relationships. Suddenly, 2012 was toxic and Rise was ideal. It got really intense for a while.

Some of us enjoyed exploring dark AU ideas, like, sure, okay, What If there was a version where they were feral and beat each other up and nobody was better than anyone else? You find those alternate universe ideas in every fandom. It certainly doesn't mean that we actually think Raph is a bully towards Mikey.

He'll, I wrote a whole series where 2012 Raph explored his emotional vulnerability with Mike's help. I have friends with temper issues, I have friends who are class clowns. None of them are above one another, and the inside jokes would probably seem really off-putting to someone who doesn't know the relationships.

@this-world-of-beautiful-monsters has a list of Mikey Angst fics. Mine are on it, obviously. It's a great rabbit hole. Wow, I've gotten more confident with plugging my work.

I recall multiple people asking me for recommendations.

Writing my classic typecast psionic autistic characters with their superpowers causing problems is somehow finally feeling repetitive, which means they've burrowed into my soul and become boring enough to revamp.

Good thing I've based Bay Mikey on the best of 2003 and 2012 Mikey. Good thing I remembered that Kevin Eastman loves 2012 Mikey and I was absolutely right to write him how I did.

Lifegiver and Sunshine Child are Fix It AU series. 2012 Mikey had so. Much. Potential. I'm still cranky over how the show writers never explored him being captured by the government and nearly vivisected in front of Casey. Or expanded his psychic senses, like from the Mom Thing or when the Mutanimals got Brain Worms and he sensed something off. Or explored his photographic (and phonographic!) memory. Or bothered to explain how Mikey was connected to Dimension X beyond just being The Backwards King. I wrote some of Sunshine Child to try and explain that. Or showed him being just as spiritually gifted as Splinter. Or anything with Splinter praising Mikey without backhanded compliments. Or others calling him stupid in different ways. Or-

...I could go on.

You know those fanfic ideas that you get after midnight when your brain won't stop? And one idea is so fleshed out and potent that it just punches you, but then suddenly it feels incredibly familiar, and then you remember you wrote that exact scenario already years ago for another iteration and you wonder if doing it for other versions of the characters is just the self congratulatory version of the Two Cakes Theory Of Fanfiction.

It's my poor abandoned baby. It takes place at the end of my "Mikey The Lifegiver" series for 2012 after Season 5, where we pretend the Mutant Apocalypse Arc was a wacky alternate future. The turtles are over eighteen, Splinter is dead, everyone needs therapy.

Mikey is found to essentially be a product of Dimension X and is naturally psychic beyond April because it was the Queen and not Kraang manipulating his neurology. But I don't make that obvious until later and I just realized I actually need to do that hahaha uh. It's probably gonna turn into a longer fic than I'd anticipated.

Plus, Mikey's brothers are being telepathically connected and I promised I would explore that.
