"Dave Goelz (the puppeteer for Zoot) came to me one day and said, “I have this idea that Zoot has this little character with him.” I was like, “Dave, that might be hard to do, all the time. Is there something else that maybe he has on him?” And he came back with this idea of doing a shoe named Jimmy, and Jimmy is Jim Henson. Dave found photos of Jim’s teeth because he wanted the shoe to be able to smile. Those are Jim’s teeth and he carved them himself. He went home and made this character because he was so dedicated to the surreal aspect of what he wanted to do with Zoot. And everybody brought great ideas and things, but he just went like far and above what we expected"

Guys i just saw my ancient blind little mouse try something new, I'm so excited.
The thing is - because she's blind, her back legs are always in reverse and she doesn't want to do anything that requires any leap of faith because for all she knows shes plunging into an abyss.
Now.. i made this purchase around a year ago. Its a very smooth running rodent wheel that was advertised as fit for mice and extremely durable. The measurements were a bit misleading yada yada it's huge and pretty heavy for mice, but usable. I think the wheel is made of metal with some kind of ceramic or epoxy finish
This thing ticks all the boxes for her fears so i didnt expect her to ever run in it.

not much grip? check
where am i? check
Her sisters didn't even like it and they were bigger and could see. Her new sisters, however, do. They treat it like a roller coaster ride, its great. Anyway, fast forward a week or two and my old Saartje has fear of missing out. Look at her confused ass discovering something new and exciting at her old age

My cat is the sweetest, gentlest kitty in the world, but when she smells donuts she shows up like a fuckin cop. And commits crimes to get them like a fuckin cop. She'll try to steal one right off my plate and then get aggressive and violent when I try to stop her.
ACAB includes my cat. But only on the rare occasion she's exposed to donuts.
