En México sabemos que la vida no termina en el panteón.

Cada año, entre octubre y noviembre, México celebra el "Día de los muertos", uno de los festejos más significativos y dramáticos del país, es nuestra manera de celebrar la vida recordando a los seres queridos que ya no están. Esta es una festividad totalmente diferente a los tonos oscuros y macabros de Halloween. Por el contrario, para nosotros la banda mexicana, el Día de los muertos acoge la muerte como algo inevitable y celebra el día dedicado a los seres queridos fallecidos con animadas y coloridas conmemoraciones. Un requisito fundamental para que los muertos vuelvan a ese hogar en donde una vez caminaron y sean buenas o malas dejaron huellas con las que son recordados. Se levanta un altar con una foto de ellos cuando están vivos, de preferencia que sea la última imagen de tal cual como hemos decidido que quedarán impresos en nuestra memoria; estas son exhibidas en los coloridos altares instalados siguiendo las reglas precisas que dicta la tradición. No puede dejar de faltar una de las principales protagonistas del aniversario mexicano, es, sin duda, también la gastronomía. Entre los símbolos de la fiesta, incluso en la mesa, hay calaveras: el "Pan de muertos" es el postre típico de esta fiesta, elaborado con una base dulce, anís, y muchas botellas de agua, que sirven como ofrenda al difunto para refrescarse después del largo viaje que ha enfrentado desde el reino de los muertos al de los vivos. Pero también velas (que permanecerán encendidas durante toda la noche) y dulces típicos, además de flores y otros pequeños obsequios. La fiesta es muy sentida: nos recuerda que hay que vivir la vida al máximo, ¡y que no hay que desperdiciarla! “El Día de los Muertos forma parte de la lista del patrimonio inmaterial de la Humanidad de la UNESCO, por ser una de las expresiones culturales más antiguas de un pueblo, capaz de afirmar su identidad y sus orígenes.

Today the government of my country is going full on genocide denial 'the victims were the actual killers and the dictators were poor innocent babies' discourse. Even publishing a video rewriting history. It's like a ticking clock right now.

If you want a summary of how fucked we are: the Vicepresident is the daughter of a genocidal piece of shit that tortured soldiers during the Malvinas war to the point that even the Brits were horrified. She defends the dictatorship, says it was 'necessary' and that the thousands and thousands of dead people and babies stolen were just 'excesses'.

Remember the movie we had at the Oscars last year? Argentina 1985? Well, the government is basically denying everything that happened there and trying to free the monsters that were condemned.

Please, don't ignore what's happening in Chile right now. The fires has been invading our cities, our regions, and has taken many nature as well as people and houses. No person deserves to lose their house, their relatives, their pets, or EVEN their own life.

I myself saw the fires when it happened, they nearly went to my own house. I was able to see the smoke and fire at my own windows. It was bad until the point where we didn't had light for a day and internet for entire days, with terrible signal instead. If it wasn't for the wind, or for the firefighters and support attending in time, I would probably be homeless right now. Either that, or just dead.

We need your support, our cities are currently in danger by the ranging wildfires, and it is confirmed to be more terrible than any past events we had before. Any support is appreciated, even by just bringing small awaraness!

If you are Chilean, you can donate to the firefighters via BancoEstado, is at the first option in the reccomended foundations at the moment. I believe someone also made a paypal for people who aren't from Chile, if you have the link you can send it in reblogs!

Por favor, no ignoren lo que está pasando en Chile. Los incendios han estado invadiento nuestras ciudades, nuestras regiones, y han quitado nuestra naturaleza, gente y hogares. Ninguna persona merece perder su casa, sus parientes, sus mascotas, o INCLUSO su propia vida.

Yo mismo ví el fuego cuando ocurrió. Casi llegó hacia mi propia casa. Podía ver el humo y el fuego en mis propias ventanas. Fue tan terrible que no tuvimos luz por un día ni internet por varios días, con terrible señal. Si no fuera por el viento, o por los bomberos y la atención hacía este a tiempo, lo más probable es que estuviera en la calle ahora. Eso o que estuviera muerto.

Necesitamos tu apoyo, nuestras ciudades corren peligro, y se ha confirmado que es más catastrófico que cualquier otro evento que tuvimos en el pasado. Cualquier apoyo es apreciado, incluso teniendo algo de conciencia!
