“Then this royal adviser is working too hard,” the Demon Lord replied. With a sweep of his arm he sent scrolls flying, laying the desktop bare. Then he lifted the bowl of food and set it before Qinghua.

“Eat,” his king commanded. “Then it is time for sleep.”

“Sleep, ah?” he asked around cold noodles. “No fun first?”

“Little hamsters are no fun when they’re tired,” his king replied. “If you had come to bed on time, instead of making me retrieve you, we could have had fun hours ago.”
