Okay guys... you better be prepared, because I have a magnificent evil plan, and I need your help...

Since I couldn't celebrate properly my 1000 followers milestone (still can't believe it guys, really), I had an idea that could work: would you like to help me with this Tickletober... by sending me your prompts from @lizzienaut Tickletober 2022 list?

So now, here's the deal:

You have time from NOW until midnight CET of September 13th.

The list is quite long and due to different reasons (life in general, my job, unexpected events and other stuff) I think I will mostly draw sketches, like these: KiriDeku, SerOchako, ShinrArthur, GaloLio

I don't know if I will be able to post the sketches on time, but I will try. If I can't don’t worry, I'll post later.

hello mei!!!! how are you? i hope vvvv well, you deserve only the best <33 :o! i have news!!! i officially graduated thursday night!!! i now /have/ to go to college! my high school does a thing called project grad where all the seniors get to play games/win prizes for free as a celebration of us graduating (i'm so sure buena pours like thousands of dollars into it) some of the prizes include an ipad, between 100-1000 dollars, microwaves, fridges, PRINTERS??? and like some other college essentials, its really cool! the reason i'm talking about it is because my friend from phoenix came down for it!!! its a lock in sorta thing and it ended at 4am yesterday and its some of the most fun i've had in a while! one of my friends had four (4) energy drinks and a total of like 2000mg of caffeine in like 2 hours 😃 (i don't normally use this type of emoji but i feel the energy is correct) i saw some of my friends for (most likely) the last time and its honestly so bitter-sweet... like one of my friends i'm obviously going to see over the summer but hes going to college in NEW YORK !! i'm not ready to not see him :( but at the same time i got to spend time with friends i missed and people i know i will miss :( anyways! on a much lighter note :D hot came out!!! i havent had the chance to listen to the full album but i have full faith its amazing! have you listened to it/what song is your favorite? i truly value your opinion <3 i hope you are doing so well mei! whats been going on :o?

It is 1.30pm on a rainy, humid December afternoon and the Sin Hoe Ping puppet troupe is busy making sure that everything is in place before they perform for Da Er Ye Bo, the two Taoist gods of the underworld.

It is the first feast day at the shentan or shrine festival for these deities, and the troupe wants the celebrations to begin smoothly.

Knowing that they will be singing for two hours without a break, the grey-haired puppeteers are clad in loose, comfortable clothing and slippers.

Two life-sized figures of Da Yi Er Bo glower at them from behind, macabre guardians of a dark curtained area where a spirit medium will be offering consultations to devotees in the evening. The medium, along with the getai singers whose traditional performance dates back to the era of the Japanese occupation, will be the star of the event.

But the members of Sin Hoe Ping don't mind being out of the limelight. As they begin to sing a high-pitched, mournful sounding song while manoeuvring the puppet characters around the makeshift stage, Yeo Lye Hoe, the 67-year-old troupe leader, shuffles off to an open area outside the tent where the festival is taking place. The only people in the audience are a little boy in a uniform, presumably on his way home from school, and his grandfather.

Yeo puffs away at a cigarette. "I'm going to do this for as long as I can," he says gruffly. "After all, if I don't, who will?"

Vestiges of the past

Sin Hoe Ping is one of the last Chinese puppet troupes active in Singapore, and the very last troupe performing in the Henghua language, spoken by those with ancestral roots in Putian, a part of Fujian Province in China.

Frequently sidelined for the more flamboyant sensibilities of Chinese opera, these puppet troupes are something of an anomaly in cosmopolitan Singapore. Rooted in ancient folk religion, they appear almost to be vestiges of the past that have stubbornly survived to challenge the modern skyscrapers and apartment blocks that are crammed across the tiny island country.

Many of the performers are hired on an ad hoc basis, whenever feast days are held to commemorate Taoist deities.

Yeo, who makes and repairs his collection of up to a 100 puppets from his apartment, says that demand for puppet shows has declined in recent years.

He attributes this to the lack of interest in temple rituals, which are often elaborate, time-consuming and costly.

"We now have five or six regular performers left. One died recently, and after the rest of us go, nobody will know the art of Chinese puppetry in Singapore any more."

Numbering approximately 20 in total, though this figure is also dwindling steadily with Singapore's ageing population, these troupes faithfully represent traditions that emerged from southern China as early as the Song dynasty in the AD 1000s.

The Chinese diaspora in Singapore, who arrived as immigrants from the southern Chinese provinces during the late 19th century, ironically preserved many elements of Chinese puppet theatre that have become almost extinct in their country of origin due to the brutal effects of the Cultural Revolution. These elements include handwritten theatre scripts used for puppet shows, which have been passed down for generations and can today cost up to $1,000.

Fading art form

Yeo is a laconic and stout man who does not romanticise the work he does.

"I don't feel that I'm doing something noble. My grandfather taught me the scripts, the songs and how to move the puppets when I was seven. I have known everything by heart for my entire life, and I keep doing it now because it's what I know."

He studied with a puppet master until his 20s. Then, upon the latter's retirement, he bought the puppet collection for approximately $1,500 and continued running the show with other troupe members.

In good months, puppet troupes such as Sin Hoe Ping can earn between $5,000 to $7,000, performing at a number of temple festivals every week, but for the most of the year, income is much harder to come by. The money is mostly redistributed among performers, who are all older people or retirees, with the rest going back into the maintenance of the puppets.

"It's not something you do to make money," he says with a slight smile. He has three children who are English-educated and in their 30s. None of them is interested in continuing his trade.

One of his performers, Chua Mui Hua, 76, agrees.

"My grandchildren have never come to see me perform, but even if they did, I doubt they would understand anything I am singing," she says.

She is making a salient point about the Chinese languages that are gradually becoming extinct in Singapore. In 1979, the government became convinced that the use of southern Chinese languages such as Hokkien, Teochew, Cantonese and Hakka - which were the lingua franca of the very first Chinese immigrants in Singapore - was preventing Singaporeans from achieving full bilingualism in English and standard Mandarin Chinese.

For more than 30 years, the Speak Mandarin Campaign heavily discouraged the use of these southern Chinese languages in the popular media, particularly on television and radio. Today, few young people can claim to understand simple phrases in their grandparents' language, let alone comprehend complex narratives sung over two hours.

Children in the business

Not all the stalwarts of the Chinese puppet trade are pessimistic about its future.

Tina Quek, 47, is the leader of the last puppet troupe in Singapore that performs in the Teochew language, but she is sanguine about her prospects. Much like Yeo, she has spent the bulk of her life immersed in these vanishing traditions, and her repertoire includes not just puppet performances but also opera and Qing Chang, singing events staged by an all-female group. But unlike Yeo, all four of her children are heavily involved in her business and learning the ropes.

"My youngest son is 13 and is already learning to play the suona to accompany my performances," she says. Her speaking voice is soft and gravelly, but transforms completely into a nasal soprano when she sings.

"It's practice," she grins. "I've been doing this since I was eight, that's how I was confident that my children would be able to pick up these skills quickly as well." Still, her cheeriness is tempered by slight anxiety.

"I would like my children to continue the business, but I'm especially worried about my son. His studies suffer each time he leaves school early for a performance. And more importantly, with younger people becoming less interested in these traditions, will he be able to make enough money to survive in Singapore?"

Her daughter, Christine Ang, 19, shares her mother's ambivalence. She has just finished at a vocational school and reveals that she juggles a string of part-time jobs alongside her impressive credentials as one of Singapore's youngest puppet performers and opera singers.

Getting ready to perform and putting on make-up are among her favourite parts of the job.

"I don't think it's true that there's no interest amongst young people my age," she muses. "Whenever I invite my friends, they always turn up. In fact, the last time they came, I made them put on make-up too!"

However, she acknowledges that "off-peak" seasons are a cause of concern.

"The Seventh Lunar Month is a good time for us, because that's when many people worship at the temples to appease the spirits of wandering ghosts. But the rest of the year, not so much," she says.

She admits that she sometimes wonders, although fleetingly, if continuing her education or getting a full-time job might be a better option. "It would be sad if I stopped performing. I guess there's some pressure, because I don't want to be the one who let a tradition die."

Reviving puppetry

Some are eager to help this small community survive the onslaught of modernisation.

Caroline Chia, 33, is a researcher specialising in Chinese puppet traditions who has single-handedly documented the performances of almost all the troupes still active over the past few years. Yeo fondly refers to her as "xiao mei", a Chinese term that means "little girl".

"I have tried to help in some ways by liaising with event organisers and theatre personnel so that the troupes get to perform outside of the temple context," she says. Her hard work means that some of the troupes have had the opportunity to bring their work to wider audiences, including public road shows and cultural events at museums.

Her late grandmother, who loved Teochew opera and music originating from eastern Guangdong Province in China, encouraged her interest in Chinese puppetry.

"Troupes come and go … it is something that's beyond our control sometimes. But I guess more has to be done to revitalise puppetry before it is gone altogether."

On a sweltering day, Yeo's troupe holds a performance in a shrine in eastern Singapore.

Yeo is in a bad mood, barking expletives down the phone.

"The performer who was scheduled to sing with us today forgot to turn up," sighs his wife, Li Shui Mei, who is from Putien and has been working with him for years. "I guess I will have to sing both the female parts by myself, then."

I help them carry the puppets into the shrine to make them "kneel" before the deities prior to the performance, since there aren't enough people around to do it. The puppets are surprisingly heavy.

For the next two hours, Li and Yeo sing, play the keyboard, cymbals and drums, and manipulate the puppets across the small stage. There might be only five people in the audience today, and in a few years there may be none, but, just getting to perform today is enough for the two puppeteers.

SSSS.DYNAZENON: Chise dreams of being in class and ignoring the world, isolated from her peers, recalling her seed, she sees herself ignored by the team, and then witnesses the seed sprout rapidly before waking up. She sees the items in her room have been made various sizes, revealed to be the work of a little golden dragon Kaiju, which shrinks her piano, but returns everything to normal when told to, seeing it obeys her she names it after the band Goldburn. Most of Yomogi's group can't make the fireworks festival, he's not interested in going with just Awaki, when Yume asks him though to he decides to invite the team. Chise is about to bring up Goldburn to Koyomi when Yomogi calls, and she runs off instead, instead going to Gauma, who thinks she's talking about Zaiohn says any kaiju that's a threat has to be fought, leading her to resolve to hide him from everyone, he grows bigger and takes her flying, when she sees her middle school it dives at it, but doesn't attack at her prompting. Futaba shows up at school, Yonogi calls Yume back, she leaves Mei behind. The Eugenecists find the kaiju Gibzorg, Juuga takes control. Futaba admits he'd been dating Kano, and he'd heard rumour she was being bullied, but she'd never admitted it to him, he disagrees with Yume on it being suicide, going with the police view, as he leaves we see he has a wedding ring. Yume yells after him asking why he didn't save Kano his response leaves her crying just as Gauma calls, she says they'll go but she's struggling, sending Yomogi ahead. Chise is wondering what to do when she hears about the kaiju, Goldburn flies off. DynaStriker and DynaDiver struggle as GridKnight arrives. When Yomogi arrives, Gauma, on hearing that Yume is in a difficult state, orders him back to help her instead. Chise spots Yume sat atop the floodgate. When Yume tells her her problems are nothing to do with her, and no good comes from her own fighting, Chise gets angry and Goldburn appears, followed by the arrival of DynaSoldier, tackling the kaiju away. Chise tells her that Yomogi came there to save her and she needs to recognise the love in her life, this shocks Yume into dropping her puzzle and then going to grab it despite falling off the roof, as she grabs the toy she has a moment of clarity about Kano before DynaSoldier fails, but Goldburn succeeds, to catch her. Gibzorg has the others on the ropes until they finally get there, Goldburn joining them. Sizumu attempts to control it, but it rejects him, and thecteam forms Dynazenon while convincing Gauma to trust Goldburn, who blocks an attack on Dynazenon and GridKnight. Dynazenon, GridKnight and Goldburn join together to form Kaiser GridKnight. They easily beat Gibzorg right before the fireworks start, Juuga bitterly noting their aren't infinite kaiju, which Sizumu acknowledges. Gauma, after making sure Chise understands she and Goldburn are part of the team, drags everyone, including the GridKnight Alliance, to the festival, but it's over, so they decide to do their own. Yume rushes home, turning up in a Yukata as they've already started.

Heroes' Odyssey: We cover Z's team up with Ace against Barabas, and Tiga's team up with Ultraman against Charija and Yanakargie.

Saber: Ryoga refuses to join with Northern Base owing to them being traitors to the guild. Sophia tells Kento that part of the reason Hayato had been fighting was to protect him, asking him to value his own life, he says there's no time and leaves, followed by Viktor's bird. Bacht returns to Southern Base, wanting Izaak to destroy the world already, sitting and waiting to see his next move. At Northern Base Yuri explains that Kento intends to stop the world's destruction at the cost of his life, the other possibility being Touma saving the world and vanishing from the world. Touma goes to seek Kento with Rintaro, Yuri needs Mei. Desast voices Ren's doubts and insecurities over Touma, leading him to run off, finding Touma, he challenges him so he can settle his thoughts. Elemental Dragon battles Sarutobi Ninjaden, Touma's victory highlighting the strength he gained by fighting with everyone while Ren still believes just in strength. Ren insists strength is justice, Touma reveals to him Kento's aim to sacrifice himself, Ren recalls an old training session with Kento where he lost due to Kento's desire to protect, but Ren still insists he'll get strong and leaves, despite Touma telling him he already is. Izaak and Kento are both ready for the end. Yuri brings Mei to Bacht, asking him to fight with them, explaining humanity has changed in the last 1000 years, having Mei explain, Bacht leaves but does seem a little amused. Rintaro reaches Kento, saying he’ll protect him and reminding of the promise they made, when Izaak arrives Kento knocks Rintaro down. Jaaku Dragon battles Omni Force, soon joined by Tategami Hyoujuu Senki then Elemental Dragon. Saber and Blades intend to stop Solomon before Kento dies. Solomon opens the Book and turns the city to dust, Caliber unleashes Kurayami's darkness, aiming to drag both of them into it, Touma refuses to accept Kento sacrificing himself and destroys the attack, but the splashback from it destroys the Book over the city. Touma tells Kento they'll stop him together, before Solomon defeats them, Saikou saves them, as he battles he calls Kurayami to himself as well, using the combined power of Light and Dark to open two voids, which form one and suck Solomon in, but Yuri explains it's temporary. Kento refuses to join up still, taking back Kurayami and walking off when the bird flies by, and Hayato's words say the future can change, giving him pause. Izaak breaks free from the void, planning his next move.

Zenkaiger: Kaito and Gaon are surprised by the reappearance of Gomi World, except as Barashitara explains it's actually Recycle World, who recycles captured humans into Recycled Kudakks, which are given Tojiru Gears by Barashitara. Zenkaiser and especially ZenkaiGaon are reluctant to fight, unlike the arriving Twokaiser, especially when he realises the Recycled Kudakks have Tojiru Gears, Kaito uses Dekaranger, leading the others on arrival to arrest Zox and drag him to Colourful. Zox and Vroon's studies of the Gears determine they're neither SDtopia nor are they actual Tojiru Gears. Barashitara is attempting to undermine Ijirude and Stacey's work, and make the Zenkaigers and Pirates fight, the Gears being part of Ijirude's prototype work on World sealing. Zox has worked out the trap, but just in case there's a real SDtopia gear in there he's still going to grab them, Gaon rushes after him as the others try to plan, pointing out to Kaito they won't convince Zox to stop. Before Gaon, Zox and the Recycled Kudakks come to blows the others arrive to incapacitate them safely and steal the Gears safely. Zox is amused, when Recycle World appears and the Zenkaigers leap into action, handling things until Twokaiser joins in, using Shinken Form alongside Gaon to finish things. Gaon has Twokaiser use Go-Onger to initiate Jet Dagger. The Zenkaigers gather up the Gears off those returned to normal, but the reaction of Recycletopia's gear following the damage allows Dai Recycle World to take the stage, recycling Dai Kinoku World, Dai Kori World, Dai Boxing World and Dai Sushi World, forming Recycle Sentai Daiworldger, which Secchan compares to Neziranger, Zetsumates, Hanaranger and Zokuranger. Both ZenkaiOh's struggle to fight, overwhelmed expecially when the Daiworldgers use the Recycled Bazooka, defeating them. Zox brings in Twokai-Oh Riki, defeating the Recycled ones, when Battle Caesar Robo arrives, Stacey not wanting Barashitara's forces in the way, destroys Dai Recycle World so he can focus on Twokai-Oh.

Dogengers: The giant yellow robot, activated by Yamashiron eating Bell Peppers, responds to Yamashiron's chores inside the home, Ohgaman dubs it Kaguten Kudogata Sekikaguo 208shiki. As Yamashiron does his chores Sekikaguo 208 battles Great Daizenshin, to do things quicker splitting into Redron, Aoiron and Daidairon, activating the final attack, a chest cannon, which doesn't do much. Great Z intends to show his victory, but the crowd is gone, evacuated by Kitaqman and El Brave, while Ohgaman handled the guards, Riku included, Rookie rescued Nectaris and Uzagi, and Maid Shitsuji managed to convince Yabai Kamen not to run, all in line with Metal's plan. Fukuokaliber destroys one of the Affect System drones, the remaining three are unable to maintain Great Daizenshin, then leaves, as goes Sekikaguo 208. A running Maid Shitsuji and Yabai Kamen are blocked by Great Z, Maid Shitsuji intends to protect their president, but Yabai Kamen wants to handle the hero himself, though his subordinate joins in, Great Z defeats them, using an Affect System shot to incapacitate Yabai Kamen, and warps the attacking Maid Shitsuji back to Rookie, Yabai Kamen bristles. Riku looks at Great Z's dropped pills, wondering why he's going this far. At base everyone has a party to celebrate a successful operation, Maid Shitsuji dragging in the guest of honour, Yabai Kamen, late. Back at Great Z's base, right after his crew explains the problems caused by the damage to the Affect System thus far, their captive Yabai Kamen reveals himself as Shuraomaru and escapes, Great Z is angry and making plans when Riku bursts in, to the confusion of Shaberryman, who thought he was Great Z, and Riku demands explanations from Great Z, his father.

Overwatch winter Wonderland - New event in Overwatch

You could be concerned about buying gifts or obtaining your cards in the email, but here is what you want to know: all that is secondary to the forthcoming Winter Wonderland occasion in Overwatch, which seems like the finest seasonal event nonetheless. We have a programmer update teasing lots of the upcoming articles, and we are getting at least one amazing skin we have wanted all year plus a completely different game mode. The hottest Developer Update provides us a sneak peek, however, Kaplan admits there is likely to be plenty of surprises left in the kind of skins that are mythical. Haha! Oh, we've got fun here.

The first supported skin is that Hanzo will obtain a skin we have been waiting for all season, that has to be his most contemporary jacket and ribbons out of Reflections.

We understand Hanzo has had several mythical skins in evolution, and he got his anniversary futuristic ninja celebrated. It resembles the 2nd legendary skin he receives will be a Christmas Reflections skin. We are on board. Perhaps he could have a cake eating emote also? This cake looks delicious.

Junkrat and Roadhog may even get legendaries. My bet is that we will observe a seasonal elf Junkrat along with also a Santa Roadhog. My heart is currently melting just considering it. It requires a genuine friendship to go from criminal heists to rescuing Christmas by giving presents to children, after all.

The very exciting news is centered about our favourite buddy, Mei. Mei's Snowball Offensive will soon be arriving on Antarctica, and will now be working on Black Forest too.

What is really exciting is that the entire new game style, Mei's Yeti Hunt. This is actually the first time we are getting a brand new seasonal sport style to get a coming year. Mei's Yeti Hunt will pit Meis against a single Winston. Both of the Yeti Hunters along with the Yeti are all player-controlled -- believe Left 4 Dead's Versus mode, orDead by Daylight. The Meis begin by searching Winston on Nepal, but Winston can locate power-ups round the map. After he strikes Rage, the tables turn, and then he will begin searching and removing Meis.

Six buddies are going to have the ability to lineup for Yeti Hunt and change who gets to perform with the Yeti between rounds, or you may solo lineup as either the Yeti or even a Mei.

We could also anticipate last year's mythical skins, such as Yeti Winston and Jingle Tracer to fall down to 1000 credits rather than 3000. The remaining portion of the epic and beneath 2016 articles will also receive a price fall.

This morning i learned that one of the great fashion designers died. At the time i was working at the Haags Gemeentemuseum, the curator Ietse Mey, organized an exhibition of the fashion by de Givenchy worn by Audrey Hepburn and to enhance the exhibition a film festival was organized at the Filmmuseum with fashion worn by Audrey Hepburn in the movies. At the occasion of the opening i saw both celebrities and it struck me, that even as mrs. Hepburn was already ill at that time, she looked radiant and beautiful. The show was a huge success and one of the first in a long line of fashion exhibitions which were held at the museum. The catalogue is of course completely sold out , but sometimes you will encounter a copy on the book markets. If you find one….do not hesitate to buy it, because it is rare. An edition of only 1000 copies means that it was sold out almost instantly and it was never reprinted.

Tributes continue to come in to Hubert de Givenchy, the French couturier whose elegance defined the 1950s and 1960s and the style of Jackie Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn and more. Givenchy died at the age of age 91 in his sleep on Saturday; his death was announced by his namesake fashion house. During his lifetime, he had received the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur in 1983, and a lifetime achievement award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1995.

Givenchy was born in 1927 to a religious aristocratic family. He learned the couture “métier” from working for Jacques Fath, Robert Piguet, Lucien Lelong, and Elsa Schiaparelli, before founding his own namesake label. Givenchy would later establish his Parisian atelier across the street from Cristóbal Balenciaga, who was his dear friend and his longtime role model. He was also influenced by Madame Grès and Christian Dior, and inspired by artists. He notably created taffeta evening coats and robes du soir in homage to Joan Miró during the 1970s.

His first collection was presented in February 1952; it featured modern separates, providing more affordable and versatile options than the haute couture looks that were standard in the French fashion world in the middle of the 20th century. Nonetheless, Givenchy also made opulent and heavily embellished garments (with pearls, feathers, and ribbons), impeccable cocktail ensembles, and elegant accessories, notably sumptuous hats. He was known for dressing a wealthy, stylish clientele: Jacqueline Kennedy was a longtime client, as was Grace Kelly and the Duchess of Windsor.

The darling of the Givenchy fashion narrative, however, was Audrey Hepburn. They met when a mutual friend told the designer that Miss Hepburn was keen to be introduced, and Givenchy assumed the lady in question was Katherine Hepburn. Their friendship blossomed despite the misunderstanding, and Givenchy ended up making costumes for Audrey Hepburn’s then-upcoming film, ”Sabrina” (1954)—as well as “Funny Face” (1957), “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (1961), “Charade” (1963), and “How To Steal a Million” (1966). While Givenchy and Hepburn created many iconic sartorial moments on film, perhaps none rivaled the glamorous wardrobe of Holly Golightly, the onscreen heroine of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” who walked down Fifth Avenue wearing dark sunglasses, pearls, evening gloves, and a black Givenchy column dress. (In 2006, the dress was sold at a charity auction at Christie’s in London for six figures).

Givenchy was also associated with various successful perfumes: from the fruity and feminine L’Interdit (created in 1957 for Hepburn) to the heavily floral Amariage (created in 1991).

Givenchy sold his fashion house to the LVMH Group in 1988 and retired after his collection in July 1995. John Galliano succeeded him; less than two years later, he in turn was succeeded by Alexander McQueen, then Julien Macdonald. Riccardo Tisci held the reigns from 2005 until 2017, much to the original designer’s displeasure. Currently, Clare Waight Keller is the label’s Artistic Director.

In March 2016, the fashion house created an archival department to conserve and promote all garments and accessories dating from the original designer’s tenure, from 1952 to 1995. Just last year, the Museum of Lace and Fashion in Calais in northern France celebrated Givenchy’s work and presented 80 beautiful looks and accessories that spanned his career.

I know ist too late for Sirius day...but could you imagine Sirius's daughter chaising him around the house with a cat in her hands lol!

The first time Sirius feels her kick, she's only a few months old. You're sitting on the couch, Sirius's head leaned back against your swollen belly as you read softly to him.

You don't have enough time to warn Sirius when you feel a soft tug at the inside of your tummy, the baby's foot driving right into the back of Sirius's head. He yelped indignantly, turning around to stare bewilderedly at your once more immobile stomach.

She squealed in delight, tiny hands coming up to brace themselves on his face as he continued attacking her. You watched with a fond smile, camera in hand as you took a few snapshots, preserving the moment forever.

The first time she meets padfoot, she's wailing in her crib at two in the morning. Sirius had insisted that he'd 'got this one', but as you laid awake in bed, staring at the ceiling, the desperate cries of your daughter filling the house, it was clear that he did not 'got it'.

You finally decided to help him after an agonizing five minutes of screaming, but just as you crossed the threshold out into the hallway, her crying stopped, and so did your heart. You felt your stomach sink, thinking about her having dropped unconscious suddenly, or begin choking on something while she had been crying. You rushed through the door to her nursery, finding her cooing and babbling at the giant black dog that was standing with its two front paws over the edge of her crib.

She had your husband by the nose, giggling at the cold, wet feeling that it gave off. If she had been playing with any other dog, you were sure her not-so-gentle fur tugging or head pats would get her a rather harsh bite, but Sirius stood there and took whatever she could dish out, only whining lowly in his throat when she yanked too hard at his tail.

The first time she learns to weaponize this alter ego of her father's is when she's four, and he won't let her have ice cream for dinner. She goes outside with a huff, and Sirius debates whether or not he should call her back inside and talk to her about her behavior, or let it go and let her play with her little friends.

You manage to convince him to let it go, and monitor her from the window in the living room. She disappears into one of the bushes surrounding your home, but you think nothing of it, because the bushes are backed up against a wall, so she's not going anywhere.

It only takes her two minutes to return, a devilish smirk on her face as she holds her arms out in front of her, a tiny gray kitten gripped gently in her hands.

"Daddy," She begins, tone dripping with condescension, "I want ice cream for dinner."

"Darling, I said n-" Sirius finally turns around from his stance at the kitchen counter where he's chopping vegetables, eyes widening and hands dropping whatever they were occupied with, balling up into fists, "Why is that thing in my house?"

"It's just a cat," She teases, gently waving the animal about, "What, are you scared of it?"

"No. I am not scared of a cat." Sirius huffs, eyes trained mercilessly on the feline, "But I won't let one live in my house. Take it outside, now."

"Not unless I can have ice cream for dinner."

Sirius's eyes widen at the realization that she's blackmailing him, she's actually blackmailing him, and he stares her down as she inches closer to him with the cat in hand.

Just before the little kitten's paws can tangle themselves in Sirius's apron, (baby blue, 'Kiss the Cook' is embroidered on it), he throws his hands up in frustration, "Fine. Fine! Y'know what, this is fine. You wanna have ice cream for dinner? Be my guest. You wanna get hopped up on sugar and not be able to sleep tonight? Be my guest. But so help me god," Sirius waves his spatula threateningly at your daughter, "if you come into Mommy 'n my room tonight, and think you get extra playtime just because y'can't sleep, we're tossin' y'out."

2016:

- Most wonderful family reunion in January after many years. It was short but so memorable and amazing. Insha’Allah again, soon. I’ll never forget last NYE, where everyone exchanged presents with everyone and each family ended up with a suitcase full of presents and the whole room was just camera flashes and hugs and smiles.

- Zaidis photoshoot. We had never done something like this. The photos that came out were beautiful plus we ended up having a lovely time.

- Into the Woods. I don’t think I ever thought about writing a script let alone directing a whole musical with 400+ participants and a 1000+ audience. But I did and it was beyond awesome. What started with nights of crying about not finding the funding or the perfect venue definitely became one of the highlights of my career if not life. I was so so proud of all the kids, the way they rehearsed for an entire month, the beautiful sets and props we made, the sound and light team who made it all even more spectacular. Once the grand night was over I was a bit shell shocked that I was responsible for all of it. All praise be to Him.

- PJ day at work. This wasn’t a huge deal but it was super fun and just confirmed to me how much I love what I do.

- Ashley’s second round of kittens. We still have two and they’re the most adored members of our family.

- Jaffer bought me an amazing camera that I don’t deserve. He always buys me the most thoughtful things; this is something I would always think about yet would’ve probably never bought for myself since I don’t think I am a ‘photographer’ or anything. Sadly I have not found time to explore it enough and still take photos with my phone but this year insha’Allah.

- PSL. I think we went for 3 matches including the opening ceremony and the final and I had a ball.

- Celebrating my parents’ 25th anniversary. Picture perfect day forever engraved in my mind. May God bless them.

- Watching an opera for the first time. Surreal. I would be a regular if it wasn’t so expensive. Goray logon wala shoq hai.

- Wrote my post grad thesis. I had been preparing for it for 2 years now and finally printing the whole thing out and holding it in my hands just gave me goosebumps.

- My family met Jaffer. JAFFER JAFFER JAFFER, the light of my being! Finally seeing him meet my parents..I don’t know how I didn’t drop down dead or start shouting this is my bestest person, my bestest friend and you guys are my everything and now you’re meeting each other and I know you will love him. Iss ghari tak pohochna Allah paak ka karam hai aur meray andar itni quwat nahi ke mei iss jazbey ko theek se bayan kar paon. I could write a book about this so I’m just going to stop talking.

There are many more things that I’m sure I’m not recalling. Idk I have a pathetic memory. One could choose to dwell on the negatives but I have so many beautiful aspects in life that I can’t even think of doing so. I just feel that Allah swt is ever so Merciful and I am ever so undeserving. How do I even start being thankful?

Only you got to coo that at him when he brought you some warm tea afterwards, an apologetic smile on his face and a soft kiss pressed to your forehead. Only you got to see it written in softly scripted letters, the paragraphs appearing as a simple note from your mum to anyone who had the audacity to peek at your mail, but as a heart-twisting love letter to you, and only you.

Unfortunately, your daydreaming had attracted the attention of your peers, and you felt Hermione elbow you on her way back to her seat.

"You there?"

You looked up startled, blinking dazedly up at her, "Oh! Yeah, I'm just really tired. I was up super late last night, had a nightmare or something, I dunno, just couldn't sleep."

She stared suspiciously at you for a moment, but ultimately settled without asking any further questions. You felt your leg begin bouncing anxiously, and you averted your gaze to the whomping willow on the school grounds, watching through the windows as it thrashed about in the strong winds.

You managed to avoid further questioning until the end of class, only looking up when Hermione nudged you once more.

"Hey, didn't you hear me?"

You shook your head hazily, standing as you watched the rest of the class file out one by one, hastily packing your bag.

"I said the professor wanted to see you, he said my answer was wrong so he needs to adjust your score too." There was a soft pout on her face at the knowledge that she'd been docked a point instead of given one, but you were sure she was comforted by the fact that you were getting marked down too.

"Oh," You fought back a smile at the idea of alone time with Remus, "Okay. I'll meet you in the hall for lunch, then?"

"Y/N," She stared at you concernedly, eyebrows furrowed, "He only has to adjust your score. It'll take ten seconds, I'll just wait for you here."

"No!" You blurted, the sound prominent in the now silent classroom, and felt Remus's eyes boring into you, "Um, I've got some questions for him about yesterday's lesson, and I know it'll be on the newts, so I'll be here a while. You go on, get us some good seats for lunch, and save me a roll!"

She finally accepted your proposal, nodding and wishing you well with your impromptu study session. You rushed excitedly to the front of the classroom as soon as she was out the door, watching Remus shut the windows with a soft flick of his wand as a soft smile twisted upon his lips.

You reached him quickly, feet pattering against the stone floors and eliciting a soft 'oof' from him as you slam into him, your arms winding around his torso and your head resting on his chest.

"'Missed you Rem," you mumbled, breathing in his comforting scent, "Couldn't stop thinking about you in class."

"I know," Remus chuckled, hands lifting you into his lap as he sat back in his chair, "Clumsy girl, you are, a stuttering mess. Y'gonna give us away, sweet thing."

You shook your head earnestly at him, "No! No, I'd never," Your heart sunk at the premise of Remus being fired because of you, and never being able to see him again, "We'd be separated."
