random assortment of questions: how tf do taxes work? did zaun pay them before? how will they pay them now? what is piltover and zaun standards of beauty/attractiveness? What sort of entertainment does zaun have? how does it differ per age group besides obvious ones like who gets to visit the brothels?
what excactly DID go down when silco and Mama Medara had a meeting? I'm kinda dying to know.
"how tf do taxes work?"
I have a law degree and still cannot answer this question, anon 8')
Kidding<3
My personal headcanon is that Piltover imposed heavy taxes and tariffs on Zaunite businesses, pre-independence.  Think the gabelle tax imposed on Frenchmen before the revolution, which led to huge regional inequality and levied payments for daily necessities like bread, cloth, agriculture etc.
Following Zaun's independence, Silco's oligarchy of industrialists replaced the Topside chain of command as the new government. Now Zaunites will be paying them taxes, but with more incentive financially for start-ups and small businesses.
I have a snippet from Forward, but Never Forget:
Previously, Piltover collected the Kindred’s share of the Undercity’s revenues. By enacting heavy tax laws on local businesses, they had made it illegal for most to operate without paying land rent, transit charges, manufacture tariffs, and a hundred other hurdles designed to disempower even the most driven. Zaun's criminal underworld arose to bypass the arbitrary laws. Since then, it has long become its own independent economy, keeping tight fistfuls of wealth within local hands.
But now the economy stands shaky without Piltover's bulwark—and access to the Hex-Gates. Productivity is high; revenue is lagging. Zaun must gain a foothold within foreign markets via trade deals and exported goods. In the first arena, the chem-barons best not drag their feet—unless they want their bodies dragged pulseless from the Pilt. For the latter, they'd better put their best foot forward and kindle bilateral agreements with foreign partners—lest he chop their legs off at the knees.
Needless to say, Silco will be obsessed with economic leg-ups. And trade deals.
So. Many. Trade deals.
Zaun and Piltover's beauty standards differ as vastly as the nation's zeitgeists. For one, the standard of living in Piltover and easy access to healthcare shows in the character designs. Piltovans are a diverse bunch, but on the whole they're robust, well-groomed, and spotlessly dressed. Zaunites on the other hand are stunted, scarred and desperate for self-definition: flashy outfits, loud colors, body modifications. All signs of a hard life and a defiance against the odds.
Piltover's aesthetics are also geometrically Art Deco, whereas Zaun's are eccentrically Art Noveau; with that in mind, Piltover's beauty standards value harmony and symmetry, whereas Zaun is all about personal style and strutting your stuff. Very individualistic.
The same goes for Zaun's entertainment. Canonically in LoL lore, Zaun is like the decadent Moulin Rouge to Piltover's immaculate World Fair. It's a free-thinking bohemia which values artists and entertainers of all stripes. It's also lawlessly chaotic. With that in mind, I imagine there's a little something for everyone - and that every pastime has an undernote of tantalizing vice.
Adults would be more inclined to spend their coins on casinos, cabarets and clubs. Teens would be more likely to frequent arcades, dance halls, theaters and cafes. There would also be night-schools for the innovative types to learn a trade or polish a skill. Also the easy availability of Shimmer and other drugs would make the city a mecca for adventurous travelers and sex tourists.
I could probably write a treatise on the design/art/culture aspect in the series, but I'll stop there. Needless to say, the fic will go into all this stuff in depth!
And Silco and Ambessa Medarda's meeting is a spoiler!
I can't give too much away at this point, but hopefully it's an entertaining twist<3

The Life of The Prophet Muhammad(pbuh): Calling the Tribes to Islam, the Allegiances of Aqaba and Migration to Madinah
Migration to Madinah Starts
The allegiances and agreements made between the Muslims of Madina and our Holy Prophet (PBUH) opened a brand new arena before the Muslims. Living in their new community would allow them to talk about their beliefs openly, perform their religious duties freely, and fearlessly protect and spread their faith; the two most powerful tribes in Madina, the Aws and Kahzraj, promised to receive them with open arms, to protect them in all kinds of circumstances and not to withhold their help. It appeared as if the Sun of Islam (PBUH) would be shining with all his majesty in Madina very soon.
While the polytheists were concerned that the Muslims would move to this place of safety, our Holy Prophet (PBUH) was exerting all his efforts into making this new homeland that was rapidly embracing Islam the capital of Islam.
Mecca was in a very sensitive situation. When the polytheists heard that Allah’s Apostle (PBUH) had contracted an agreement with the Muslims of Madina, they further tortured the Muslims to a much greater extent.
Life in Mecca was like a punishment for the Muslims; it was as if the drinking water and the air were a burning fire.
The Muslims explained their troublesome and painful situation to our Holy Prophet (PBUH) and requested permission to immigrate. At first, our Holy Prophet (PBUH) indicated that permission had not been granted to him. However, he was granted permission in the following days and happily notified the Muslims of having received the approval:
“I was shown and it was made known to me that the place you will immigrate to is a city in between two black rocks and is filled with dates. Those who want to leave Mecca should go there and unite with their siblings from among the Muslims of Madina. Allah, the Exalted, has made them your siblings and Madina a home in which you will find safety and peace.”
As it is seen, when the threats and oppressions of Qurayshi polytheists on Muslims reached a point that did not allow Muslims to practice and spread Islam, the Messenger of Allah had allowed them to migrate. The following word of Hazrat Aisha expresses this state: “The believer had to migrate to Allah or His messenger for his religion because he had the fear of being prohibited from practicing his religion.”
“Then, migration, as it is sometimes expressed wrongly, is not an escape but a search. It is the search for a suitable environment for practicing the religion, which was in a point of elimination due to the threats and dangers. The religion determined its practice and application as its aim. If the conditions of the place a person lives in do not let this aim be practiced, it is a religious obligation for him to migrate from that place. The Quran does not regard those people as excused if they do not migrate and holds them responsible. They are obliged to look for a place where they can practice their religion.”
After this permission, the Messenger of Allah thought thoroughly about the act of migration, which was “a search for a suitable place to practice and spread the religion”. When it came time to immigrate, he continuously reminded the Muslims to act with caution and prudence and advised them to leave in small groups so as to not attract the polytheists’ attention.
In accordance to our Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) advice, the Muslims proceeded on their way to Madina individually and in small groups, which sometimes included only two people.
The first companion who emigrated from Mecca to Madina was Abu Salama Ibn Abdi’l-Asad.
The polytheists realized what was going on; they made the Muslims they could catch turn back. They were doing all they could in hopes that the Muslims would abandon their faith. They were separating wives from their husbands and objecting to them immigrating with their husbands. Some of the Muslims were being imprisoned. However, they did not want to kill anyone fearing that a war could break. Nonetheless, they did their best to dissuade the Muslims from immigrating by subjecting them to all kinds of unimaginable torture and cruelty. However, the Muslims had made up their mind and were determined to move to Madina regardless of the costs. They were finally able to overcome all of the obstacles and continued with their departure.
The bright horizons were smiling at them already. They had escaped from the circle of torture and oppression and were now opening their wings towards the horizon. Besides, Madina and its inhabitants were anxiously awaiting their arrival.
MIGRATION OF HAZRAT UMAR
While the other Muslims were in the process of emigrating in secret, Hazrat Umar was girding on his sword. He took his bow, arrow, and spear and went to the Kaaba. He openly circumambulated the Kaaba seven times. He bravely called out to the ringleaders of the polytheists who were present:
“I am emigrating in the way of Allah so that I can protect my religion. If one wants to leave his wife as a widow, to make his mother cry, and to have his children orphaned, then come before me on this valley!”
After this fearless cry, about twenty Muslims went towards Madina in broad daylight. None of the polytheists had any courage to track them down.
In a few months, a great percentage of Muslims had departed from Mecca to Madina. Our Holy Prophet (PBUH), Hazrat Abu Bakr, Hazrat Ali, the needy who could not afford a long journey, those who did not have the strength to endure a long crossing, and those imprisoned by the polytheists stayed behind.
Our Holy Prophet (PBUH) also had the intention to emigrate. However, he was awaiting Allah’s permission in this matter. In fact, when Hazrat Abu Bakr disclosed his wish to emigrate our Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “Be patient. It is hoped that Allah will grant you a companion” (to emigrate with.)
THE PANIC OF POLYTHEISTS
The tribes of Aws and Khazraj greeted the Muslims who gradually immigrated to Madina immensely well. They sheltered them and provided homes for them. Married immigrants stayed at the homes of those who were married whereas single immigrants stayed at the home of Sa’d bin Haythama, who was another unmarried companion.
The polytheists of the Quraysh panicked when they saw that the Muslims who had immigrated were being sheltered, helped, and uniting with the other Muslims in Madina. Their worries increased altogether when they thought about our Holy Prophet (PBUH) also emigrating, coming to the forefront, waging a war against them, and having the power to cut off the trade route to Damascus.
Meeting at Daru’n-Nadwa
They immediately convened at Daru’n-Nadwa to discuss how they could take measures.
Daru’n-Nadwa was a residence that faced the Kaaba and belonged to one of our Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) forefathers, Qusay bin Kab. The leading figures of the Quraysh would always gather here to discuss matters and consult with one another.
They arranged to discuss the matter regarding our Holy Prophet (PBUH) and met at Dar’un-Nadwa one morning.
In the meantime, they saw a well-dressed, sharp-eyed elderly man standing in front of the door. They asked this man, “Who are you?” “I am an elder from Najid” answered the man, “I heard about this meeting so I came to explain my thoughts. I want to express my opinions regarding measures that I deem to be suitable and unsuitable!”
The Qurayshis welcomed him and said, “Alright, enter!” Actually, the old man was a devil that had entered into the form of a human.
The Terrible Decision They Made!
There were about 100 Qurayshis at the meeting however only Abu Lahab was accepted from among the Sons of Hashim so that the others would not be informed right away. They opened the topic by asking, “What kind of measures should we take in the matter regarding Muhammad?”
Some of them said, “Let us imprison him by tying him with a chain.” The devil that had entered into human form replied, “No. By God, your idea is not suitable. If you imprison him, then his companions will tread on you and pull him away. They will advance with his propaganda and indoctrination and prevail over you. Think of another measure.” Upon this, some of them said, “Let us drive him away from our community and country! After he separates from us, have him go wherever he wants.”
The old man spoke again, “No, by God, your thought is not in good taste. Do you not see that his message and the sweetness and beauty of his words take command in the hearts of the people? If you drive him away, he will circulate among the Arab tribes and then rule over them. Afterwards he will tread over you and order you to do what he wants. For that reason you should think of something else!” At last, Abu Jahl got the chance to speak, “By God, I thought of a measure that none of you would have been able to think of.”
They asked, “what is it?”
Abu Jahl disclosed his idea:
“We do not have any other choice but to kill him. For that reason, we will choose a strong young man from each tribe. Then we will give each of them a sharp sword. They will all strike and kill him at once. That way, we will be freed from him and no one will know who killed him. When it happens in this way, the Hashimis will not be able to risk having a battle with all the other tribes and will consent to receiving blood money whether they like it or not. We will pay off the blood money and resolve the matter.” The devil that had entered the form of the old man came forth and said, “This is the correct idea and the most suitable solution.”
The others accepted Abu Jahl’s view and dispersed.

Nvidia Partners with Indonesia to Launch $200M AI Center in Global AI Expansion Effort
Tumblr media
Nvidia's gaze turns to Indonesia, marking a significant leap in the global AI expansion saga. In a world where AI is no longer just buzz but a revolution, Nvidia's initiative to plant a $200M AI powerhouse in the heart of Indonesia is a game-changer. But what's this all about, and why should we keep our eyes peeled for this monumental project? Let's dive in and get the lowdown.
The Collaboration that Spells Future: Nvidia, a titan in AI and semiconductor innovation, has joined forces with Indonesia's government and the telecom titan, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, laying the foundation for what promises to be an AI mecca. This isn't just any partnership; it's a strategic move aiming at a grand slam in the AI arena.
Surakarta: The Chosen Ground: Picture this: Surakarta city, already buzzing with talent and tech, now set to be the epicenter of AI excellence. With a hefty $200 million investment, this AI center isn't just about hardware. It's where technology meets human genius, promising a fusion of telecommunication infrastructure and a human resource haven, all set against the backdrop of Central Java's vibrant community.
Why Surakarta, You Ask? Surakarta, affectionately known as Solo, isn't just chosen by chance. It's a city ready to leap into the future, boasting an arsenal of human resources and cutting-edge 5G infrastructure. According to Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Solo's readiness is not just about tech; it's about a community poised to embrace and lead in the AI revolution.
A Memorandum of Understanding with a Vision: Back in January 2022, Nvidia and the Indonesian government inked a deal not just on paper but on the future. This memorandum isn't just administrative; it's a commitment to empower over 20,000 university students and lecturers with AI prowess, sculpting Indonesia's next-gen AI maestros.
Riding the Wave of AI Frenzy: Post the unveiling of OpenAI's ChatGPT, the world hasn't just watched; it's leaped into the AI bandwagon, with the AI market ballooning from $134.89 billion to a staggering $241.80 billion in a year. Nvidia's move isn't just timely; it's a strategic chess move in a global AI match.
Beyond Borders: Nvidia's Southeast Asian Symphony: Indonesia's AI center is but a piece in Nvidia's grand Southeast Asian puzzle. From Singapore's collaboration for a new data center to initiatives with the Singapore Institute of Technology, Nvidia is weaving a network of AI excellence across the region, setting the stage for a tech renaissance.
A Global Race for AI Dominance: Nvidia's strides in Indonesia reflect a broader narrative. Giants like Google and Microsoft are not just spectators but active players, investing billions in AI ecosystems worldwide. This global sprint for AI supremacy is reshaping economies, technologies, and societies.
Tethering AI to Crypto: The AI craze isn't just confined to traditional tech realms. In the cryptosphere, firms like Tether are expanding their AI horizons, scouting for elite AI talent to pioneer new frontiers.
In Conclusion: Nvidia's foray into Indonesia with a $200M AI center is more than an investment; it's a testament to AI's transformative power and Indonesia's rising stature in the global tech arena. Top IAS Coaching for Nurturing Future Civil Servants in Delhi
A Guide to Top IAS Coaching Institutes in Delhi
For countless Indian graduates, cracking the UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE) is the ultimate dream.  The exam serves as the gateway to prestigious administrative positions like IAS, IPS, and IFS, shaping the nation's future bureaucracy. Given the UPSC CSE's vast syllabus, ever-changing nature, and fierce competition, aspirants often seek the guidance and expertise of coaching institutes. However, navigating the plethora of options in Delhi, the country's coaching hub, can be daunting. This article cuts through the noise, offering a roadmap to identify the best IAS coaching in Delhi.
Why Coaching Matters in the UPSC CSE
The UPSC CSE throws a multitude of challenges at aspiring civil servants. The sheer volume of the syllabus, encompassing diverse subjects like Indian Polity, Economy, History, Geography, Science & Technology, and General Studies, can be overwhelming. Coaching institutes come to the rescue by providing:
Structured Learning: A well-defined curriculum breaks down the vast syllabus into manageable sections, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all topics.
Expert Guidance: Experienced faculty members, many of whom are former civil servants themselves, offer in-depth subject knowledge and exam-oriented coaching.
Quality Study Material: Coaching institutes provide comprehensive study materials, including textbooks, notes, current affairs compilations, and mock tests, meticulously crafted to meet UPSC CSE requirements.
Test Series and Evaluation: Regular mock tests replicate the actual exam format, helping students assess their preparation level, identify strengths and weaknesses, and practice time management.
Peer Learning and Support: Coaching institutes foster a competitive yet collaborative environment where aspirants can learn from each other, share doubts, and stay motivated throughout their preparation.
Delhi: A Mecca for IAS Coaching
Delhi, the national capital, has emerged as a prominent hub for IAS coaching institutes. This concentration of institutes offers several advantages for aspirants:
Access to Renowned Faculty: Delhi attracts experienced and distinguished faculty members who have a deep understanding of the UPSC CSE and a proven track record of success.
Diverse Coaching Options: A wide range of institutes cater to different learning styles, budget constraints, and language preferences (Hindi and English).
Focus on Current Affairs: Being the centre of the country's political and social activity, Delhi provides institutes with an edge in staying updated on current affairs, a crucial aspect of the UPSC CSE.
Top Contenders in the Delhi Arena
Several well-established institutes in Delhi have earned a reputation for excellence in IAS coaching. Here's a closer look at a few of them, but remember, this is not an exhaustive list:
Vajiram & Ravi: Renowned for its legacy spanning decades, Vajiram & Ravi is known for its comprehensive study materials, rigorous test series, and a strong faculty team. They offer programs for both Hindi and English medium students.
Rau's IAS Study Circle:  Established in 1953, Rau's IAS boasts a holistic approach to coaching, emphasizing both prelims and mains preparation. They provide high-quality study materials, including their monthly magazine "Rau's IAS Focus," and personalized mentorship programs.
Tarun IAS Academy:  With a focus on innovation and a results-oriented approach, Tarun IAS Academy offers meticulously designed courses, incorporating interactive sessions and personalized mentoring. Their faculty team comprises experienced civil servants and subject matter experts.
Choosing the Right Fit: It's All About YOU
Selecting the right coaching institute is crucial for success in the UPSC CSE. Here are some key factors to consider that go beyond rankings and brand names:
Faculty Credentials and Experience: Inquire about the qualifications and experience of the faculty. Look for institutes with educators who have a proven track record and a deep understanding of the UPSC CSE.
Course Structure and Study Materials: Evaluate the comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, the quality and format of study materials provided, and access to updated current affairs resources.
Success Rates and Student Testimonials: Research the institute's past performance in terms of student success rates. Read testimonials from former students to gain insights into their experiences.
Batch Sizes and Learning Environment: Consider your preferred learning style. Do you thrive in smaller, interactive classrooms or larger settings with guest lectures? Choose an institute that caters to your preference.
Fee Structure and Scholarship Options: Compare fee structures across institutes and explore scholarship opportunities offered to financially deserving students.

The Life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): Calling the Tribes to Islam, the Allegiances of Aqaba and Migration to Madinah
Migration to Madinah Starts
The allegiances and agreements made between the Muslims of Madina and our Holy Prophet (PBUH) opened a brand new arena before the Muslims. Living in their new community would allow them to talk about their beliefs openly, perform their religious duties freely, and fearlessly protect and spread their faith; the two most powerful tribes in Madina, the Aws, and Kahzraj, promised to receive them with open arms, to protect them in all kinds of circumstances and not to withhold their help.
It is the search for a suitable environment for practicing the religion, which was at a point of elimination due to the threats and dangers.
In accordance with our Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) advice, the Muslims proceeded on their way to Madina individually and in small groups, which sometimes included only two people.
Nonetheless, they did their best to dissuade Muslims from immigrating by subjecting them to all kinds of unimaginable torture and cruelty.
Afterward he will tread over you and order you to do what he wants. For that reason, you should think of something else!” At last, Abu Jahl got the chance to speak, “By God, I thought of a measure that none of you would have been able to think of.”
When it happens in this way, the Hashimis will not be able to risk having a battle with all the other tribes and will consent to receive blood money whether they like it or not. We will pay off the blood money and resolve the matter.” The devil that had entered the form of the old man came forth and said, “This is the correct idea and the most suitable solution.”
The others accepted Abu Jahl’s view and dispersed.

Berakhot 3a: 5. "The Day Shift."
Tumblr media
I am creating a splendid Gemara that will in due time, cut the glass between the Eye of Ha Shem and the rest of this dark and dying, backflopping and burning planet.
The interplay of Day and Night in the Torah and Tanakh cannot be taken for granted. In order to understand how we are to apply the meme is to use Gematria and see how our conclusions about the Mishnah hinge on what time of Day or Night found in the subject matter.
The Night Shift has a value of 490, דטאֶפֶס‎‎, the Datasheet. The periodic table of the Hebrew Elements is the Datasheet. Every time we calculate the value of statement using the algebra of Judaism we find exactly what we are looking for-the free floating concepts that unift the creating, that moor it one static ion to the next that eventually coalesces into a human mind capable of contemplating the very reaction that is causing it to function.
This apparently purposeless ability to be and to know is only answerable via the desire and the questing to be free of delusion and know for a fact, why God has made us Jewish "pressured" and how that is the most miraculous of all experiences one can come by in life.
The Day Shift has a value of 731, ז‎גא, "the cycle of the table",
The verb חגג (hagag) describes a gathering up of people in order to celebrate or hold a feast, specifically any of the three main pilgrimage feasts that Israel was to celebrate (Exodus 23:14-16). These feasts were huge affairs that caused the entire daily economy to cease for many days and pretty much the whole population to be on the move; this to the great delight of the Israelites but much to the chagrin and bewilderment of the various occupying forces (who had trouble enough with the Hebrew insistence on a whole day off per every seven). The three main feasts were:
The Feast of Unleavened Bread, better known as Pesah or Passover. This feast was held at the beginning of the agricultural year.
The Feast of the Ingathering of First Fruits. This feast was held at the beginning of the productive season.
The Feast of the Harvest, to be held when the harvest was done.
Our verb may also denote festive behavior as if one was at a feast (1 Samuel 30:16). The Arabic equivalent means "to betake oneself to or towards an object of reverence" (says BDB Theological Dictionary) and this verb returns in the prescribed pilgrimage to Mecca: the Hadj.
Days and Hours are a little different:
Hours are 1523, אהבג‎, ABG, Alef, Bet, Ge, "To learn in the House of Fertile Ground."
"The feminine noun γη (ge) means earth (hence our English prefix "geo-") but predominantly as fertile and producing ground. In translations our noun may be interpreted as earth, land or ground but always with the underlying idea of being fertile and bringing forth.
When our word is juxtaposed with ουρανος (ouranos) or "heaven", it should not be understood to denote our planet in space, but rather as the dry land that had risen from the seas and now brings forth produce, and has clouds over it and water exchanging between all of them (see for more about the hydrological cycle in the Bible our article on the Hebrew equivalent of our word, namely ארץ, 'eres, meaning earth).
When our word denotes the arena in which something like news propagates, it denotes basic humanity as the fertile field in which culture sprouts and grows (the actual world-wide human civilization is most often referred to with the familiar word κοσμος, kosmos)."
So all of this, the moment the head comes out, exists in order to sprout civilization again, right where it left off when it was at its very best. Which won't include us because we have allowed Mormons, Republicans, Russians, Iranians, Syrians, Chikneese, and North Koreans to waylay us from our destinies as peace loving, conscientious, long-lived, happy persons.
5. May Kasbar Rabbi Eliezer? Ai Kasbar three shifts were the night, the day "up to four hours". And if he kept four shifts of the night, the day "up to three hours"!
=
"Moses desired the Help of God. He desired to twist mankind for three shifts at night and a fourth shift during the day."
Twisting takes place all Four Shifts. The precise process is explained in Parsha Massei, which stems from the ways the Kohen Priests twist the red, white, blue, gold, and prurple yarns together in the making of the Temple Curtains.
The Fourth Shift, the national textile, takes place after the birth of the New Born Epoch takes place after the onset of Mashiach. What happens to our Datasheet then is expertly explained in this detailed discussion about Kasbar which I found:
"The verb כסף (kasap) is commonly reported to mean to long, but we here at Abarim Publications will currently challenge that. With the exception of Zephaniah 2:1 (see below), our verb is consistently followed by the object for which one "longs", prefixed with the particle ל (le), meaning on or onto.
Like the proverbial twenty Eskimo words for snow, Hebrew has several huge roots that express desire and longing — חמד (hamad), to covet (this is the famous one, used in "you shall not covet"), אוה ('wh II), to desire, wish or covet, פער (pa'ar), to desire or lust — and since our verb כסף (kasap) occurs a mere few times, it evidently expresses a specific and rather reserved sensation.
In Arabic this verb means to be colorless, obscure or even to eclipsed (of a heavenly body) or to be depressed in appearance. In Aramaic (and subsequently modern Hebrew) it means to become pale or deteriorate, and is often used in the sense of to put to shame or frighten. Its five Biblical contexts are:
You will call and I will answer you; you will long for the creature your hands have made (Job 14:15).
He is like a lion that is eager to tear (Psalm 17:12).
Now you have gone off because you longed to return to your father's house (Genesis 31:30).
My soul longed and even yearned (כלה, kaleh) for the courts of YHWH (Psalm 84:2).
Gather yourselves together, yes, gather, O nation without shame/desire (Zephaniah 2:1).
How the element of paleness fits in isn't obvious, but the single derivation of this verb — and the reason why we examine it in such detail — is the noun כסף (kesep), meaning silver, and by extension, money.
The Greek word for silver (and money) is αργυρος (arguros), which comes from the word αργος (argos), which likewise means white. How or why whiteness became attached to silver isn't clear, but in nature whiteness is relatively rare until snow falls and covers (obscure, depresses) all other colors at once.
It takes an advanced sense of optics, but an object has a color because it reflects light of a wavelength that corresponds to that color. A red object absorbs all non-red light and reflects red light, which is the light an observer sees coming off the object and why it looks red to her.
A perfectly black object absorbs light of all wavelengths, which is why black objects heat up (and why living cells, in effect, are transfinitively black; see JOHN 1:5). A white object, on the other hand, reflects light of all wavelengths and absorbs none (which is why, since deep antiquity, houses in hot countries are painted white). And that means that a metallic, silvery mirror is indeed perfectly white.
White, as the ancients appear to have understood, is also not a color but rather the sum of all colors (H2O is always translucent, and snow is white because of countless little rainbows all blended together).
This in turn suggests that our verb כסף (kasap) doesn't really mean to long, but rather to reflect, like a mirror: the Creator is reflected by his creatures (Job 14:15; see ROMANS 1:20); the lion's nature is reflected by his assault (Psalm 17:12, see Psalm 22:13, Proverbs 28:15, Ezekiel 22:25, 1 PETER 5:8), and the heart of a searcher is reflected in their search (Genesis 31:30, Psalm 84:2).
In every commercial transaction, goods and services go one way and money goes the other. That means that the movement of money is a precise mirror image of the movement of goods and services.
Exactly like goods and services, words don't simply drop onto the stage fully formed, but are honed very slowly over time, when countless groups of people interact and observe each other and imitate each other and gauge each other's concerns and desires and try to meet them.
When millions of pre-speech humans are left to interact for eons and eons, over time they will settle on a set of perfectly crafted words that generally mean the same things to everybody.
Psalm 12:6 reads: "The words (אמר, 'amar) of YHWH are pure words; silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times." And although that's often explained to be about God speaking, it is just as much about speech in general: human speech and its creative economy.
The Word of God has existed with God since before the beginning (JOHN 1:1), but the Word could only come into human flesh when humanity had developed language, and particularly writing: without the written word there is no complex thought and no complex society based on a legal code (see our article on ελευθερια, eleutheria, societal freedom). Christ is present where two or more gather in his name (MATTHEW 18:20).
A language forms when a great many people imitate each other. This ties the double-claused great command — (1) love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and (2) your neighbor as yourself — to instructions like "be imitators of God" (EPHESIANS 5:1) and "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ" (1 CORINTHIANS 11:1, also see 1 CORINTHIANS 4:16, PHILIPPIANS 3:17, 1 THESSALONIANS 1:6).
In the Bible, gold represents eternal natural laws, the study and industrial application of which is for an elite few (see our article on χρυσος, chrusos, processed gold).
Silver is common and represents the creative economy of the whole of human interaction. Bronze is a profane form of gold, and corresponds to artistic intuition and soothsaying (see χαλκος, chalkos, copper).
And iron is a profane form of silver, and corresponds to human legal codes (and their enforcement by police and military) that derive from a centralized human authority rather than either God's gold or humanity's silver."
The Value in Gematria for the above verse is 7761, ז‎זוא‎, "that's it!"
The meaning of that's it in Judaism is called Tikkun Olam, "this is the world we live in":
"Tikkun Olam: In Jewish teachings, any activity that improves the world, bringing it closer to the harmonious state for which it was created.
Tikkun olam implies that while the world is innately good, its Creator purposely left room for us to improve upon His work.
All human activities are opportunities to fulfill this mission, and every human being can be involved in tikkun olam—child or adult, student or entrepreneur, industrialist or artist, caregiver or salesperson, political activist or environmentalist, or just another one of us struggling to keep afloat."
The First Condition has been met. Everyone on this planet now knows what Mashiach is. Next, comes the silencing of the dogs.
There are persons who are going to wage contest: their fairy tale against theirs...ours is better, and it is going to win. We are all going to live in a world that recognizes Mashiach, Global Ethical Responsibility within its governments. That is the promise God made the Jewish people when they left Egypt.
Thus begins the Day Shift.
