I have a question: I haven't read DOTCs but I have read the guides, and the guides Grey Wing is my fave and I've been warned he gets absolutely destroyed in the DOTCs books..so, what are the differences in Guide Grey Wing and SOTC Grey Wing?

BOTC!Graywing only has about a paragraph or so of information on him, and it points towards him being an ancient warlord type. I really like and miss this version, because it reminds me of something straight out of the Seven Military Classics.

We know that he was specifically an ancient leader of WindClan, back before leaders took -star as part of their names. Using some simple deduction from the history we know from SOTC, this means he was a leader before there were official Clans, and before Windstar. Just warring groups without borders.

Onestar refers to him as a tactician, and explains that he invented the practice of strategic placement using stones and drawings in his den like a little kitty war room.

These tactics mostly have to do with battling in open fields, so we can assume;

There were a lot of battles taking place in the moor

Graywing the Wise was involved in a lot of battles, so he could develop and test these ideas.

It's not much, but it's interesting. Paints this idea of a Moorland Warlord... Moorlord, if you will.

DOTC!Gray Wing has a couple of scenes where he's talking strategy or vaguely referencing a tactic, but he spends 3/4ths of his VERY short life having meltdowns at the idea of combat because Hurting My Sweet Brother Makes Us Just As Bad :(

(Camera pans and Sweet Brother Clear Sky is tying a woman to train tracks and cackling maniacally)

MOST of his life is this. He's like 2 years old when he dies of asthma and he only started having opponents to plan battle against in the last few months.

Most of the fights he's involved in before that are spontaneous-- and even less are commanding armies as was implied in BOTC.

He also half leads "WindClan". He's a joint leader with Shadowstar for a while. Anyway, DOTC also tosses him a pity mate because his first two love interests got fridged. His adopted kids like their abusive biodads more; one of them even vows to avenge Tom the Wifebeater, a man she met once who got her mom killed.

Aaaand that's the difference. I think it's obvious I like the BOTC take more.

I think the 'the jedi use child soldiers' thing is stupid for a lot of reasons, but among those is that this is a complete misunderstanding of how children's media works. Kids want to see themselves doing amazing things and giving that an in depth analysis that boils down to 'all these adults are evil' is poor, bad faith, media criticism.

That being said, if you compare Star Wars to just about any other YA work, the jedi are miles better as far as child care goes. Canonly every single one of these 'kids in danger' has a dedicated adult who is ideally supposed to be with them to teach and protect them. Very uncommon for the genre.

So if people are mad at the jedi for this, I can't fathom what their reaction to other YA literature is. And if they hate YA literature, idk, maybe they shouldn't be reading YA. Just a thought.

Alastor's Father

WARNING: period-typical racism, WW1, race-based murder

I see a lot of fics where Alastor's dad is a piece of shit and abusive, but I'd love to see one where Al's dad actually loves and cares for his family but was taken from them when Alastor was too young to remember much about him.

Maybe he died as a soldier in WW1 or made it back to the US only to be killed some other way. If he was black, then those odds go way up unfortunately.

We don't know much about Al's parents but if it's still canon that he's creole, then that means at least one of his parents has black ancestry. A lot of the fics I've seen give him a black mom/white dad, but I think it would be interesting if both his parents were mixed too.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is if Al's dad was killed when he was still little, then they wouldn't recognize each other in hell now would they?

Al's dad sure does love his family, but everyone else can fuck off. And ooh boi did he earn his place in hell trying to protect them, not that heaven cared about his motives.

The second he finds out Alastor the Radio Demon is his baby boy? Hell hath no fury like a protective parent. He doesn't give a flying fuck about the atrocities Alastor has caused, that's his baby and no one is going to hurt him while he's not double-dead.

The Worst Crossover To Ever ‘Cross Over’ Pt.3

kill me i have no idea how to write the batfamily or the joker//

Sonic breathes in deeply, trying to regain his cool. He’s seen so much bullshit in only a few seconds, so it makes sense. It almost feels like someone’s writing him into this crap, because of how bad it is.. but anyway.

About twenty or so feet away, there’s the entrance to a warehouse. In front of it, two people stand; a clownish creep, with eerily green hair, slicked back, and his lips smothered with tarnished red lipstick..and Danny, in something resembling a hero suit of sorts, with his hair and eyes now white and green, respectively. It’s quite the spectacle. So much so that there’s a few bat- and bird- themed people just a few rooftops away..watching.

After a few seconds of watching Danny interact with the freakish clown man, Sonic decides to rush in, standing between Danny and the clown, concern leaving his eyes looking wide and more unusual than normal. The clown pays little mind to him, trying to talk with Danny, intrigue lighting up his thin, sharp features. “Oho, another!” the clown starts. “I’ve never seen anything quite like you two before.” Sonic stands defensively in front of Danny, arms stretched out to protect him. “Yeah, and I’ve never seen a clown become the butt of their own joke, but here you are,” Sonic retorts, with a scowl. He’s going full defensive. Behind him, however, Danny doesn’t seem nearly as bothered as one might expect.

A while earlier, Danny had just arrived, drawn in by the noise. Only to see a clown near the source of the sound and some bat furry guy and his supposed accomplices some buildings away, just watching? He was not pleased. Flying down to the clown, he discovered that the horrible shrieking was just the laugh of this nasty clown..or a ringmaster..? Less clown-like..reminds him of that weirdo from Circus Gothica. Danny shivers, immediately uncomfortable. “So, who are you, and what are you doing?” Danny starts, ready to interrogate. The ringmaster-clown-guy shrugs, with a cruel giggle; “Oh, you know, a bit of this, a bit of that.” Danny rolls his eyes, noticing his dodging of the question. The clown dude looks Danny up and down, in a way that makes him so much creepier. “Are you, mayhaps, one of them?” Danny looks at where the clown is pointing- the bat furry and some other furries. “Uh, no way, don’t know who that furry is, never seen him before today-” Danny starts, before being rudely interrupted by the ringmaster-clown’s horrible laughter. “He isn’t quite a furry, but it’s funny you see him as such! He’s Batman, kid. And you are?” Danny looks at the clown guy, deciding that his non-hostility leaves him somewhat okay to respond to..especially if he’s gonna start building his rep back up. “Phantom. You know, usually one should say their own name first during an introduction,” Danny says, with a curious expression. “But you didn’t. Who are you, then?” The ringmaster grins wildly as he proclaims, “The Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker, one and only!” Danny’s face pales slightly; this guy is definitely not a good guy, with a name and title like that. Maybe I shouldn’t have indulged him, he thinks.

Danny takes a step back, feeling a lot less safe around this “Joker” guy. He hasn’t done anything wrong yet, but he certainly will try, won’t he?

As Sonic arrives at the scene, Batman almost takes action. These people..where have they come from? He nor any of his colleagues habe met them, that’s for sure- he’d know if they had. A boy called “Phantom”, clearly a meta, and some blue spiky meta. Unusual and sudden appearances could mean..something big. But it seems that the situation is dying down for now.. so he swoops away, bringing the rest of his team with him.

Sonic glares at the clown, not knowing what he may have done or not done to Danny. Danny steps up behind Sonic, whispering in his ear, “He’s some sort of prankster, I think? Calls himself “Joker”. He hasn’t done anything yet.” Sonic lets out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. Whispering back, he murmurs, “Let’s just go, for now. He gives me the heebie-jeebies.” Danny nods, and Sonic promptly grabs Danny and runs away, with incredibly speed, the Joker looking at the two of them and waving as they escape the scene.

Now back at their makeshift home, Sonic asks, “Why did you leave?” He puts Danny down and looks up at him, a bit saddened. “I thought something bad could’ve happened, or you were afraid of me…” He sighs. Danny looks at Sonic, eyes sympathetic and kind; “I woke up and was too worried to sleep. Sorry. I just..wanted to scope out the town. And, uh..I think we have some more things to talk about..” He gestures to himself, and then to Sonic. “Some abilities and backstories we need to share.”

Just finished Sonic Prime, which is the first piece of Sonic media I've ever consumed.

It was a blast, Nine and Sonic are my new sons, I also like regular Tails too.

Now I wanna draw them and I have absolutely no idea how I'm gonna do that. Sonic has a very distinct style and I have to decide if I'm gonna try to emulate that or figure something else out.

Anyways, overall thoughts, the animation was phenomenal, all the lighting was beautiful and settings were nicely done.

I know the multiverse trope is considered oversaturated or whatever, but I am such a sucker for it. This was a very good first experience.

Anyways, kept very vague because S3 is still new I think? My friends have told me to watch Sonic Boom next, so I'll let y'all know when I finish that one ✌️

Wukong was never a souless bad guy. He can be very violent but that's only when demons and gods would spite him. If someone hits him, he hits them back harder. He has a tendency to retaliate brutality but there are times he can be merciful too. It really depends on the situation and how wronged he feels. Of course, he has feelings as well! He loves his monkeys and Huagoshan and if anyone messes with them he'll make sure to smash anyone into meat patties! Sun Wukong is a very complex character with his own goals as well. He's not just some "haha chaos impulsive monkey". He's far more calculated than people give him credit for. There's a reason he's called the "intelligent stone monkey."

i had at some point figured out the primary path for every single option in the game (as in, which option seemed to have been considered "canon", or at least before its counterpart, by the developers, based on how the game fits around it) and then i fucking forgot all of it

I feel like we need to talk about Din's flying abilities more.

I'm currently rewatching The Mandalorian and Din knows how to handle a ship. I just watched Chapter 10 and I was thinking about this when he was escaping the X-Wings.

And in TBOBF, when he's in the N-1 for the first time: once Peli tells him to stop handling it like a gunship, he's got it down. Seriously, all this man needed was a quick flip to a different mindset of flying and he's able to expertly handle a craft he'd never used before.

I just feel like we don't give him enough credit for it. Was he taught by the Mandalorians? Self taught? Either way, it needs to go on the list of things that Din is amazing at.

Can you give us some headcannons?

(( oh my own headcanons for bendy? uhhhh sure! lets see...

he is 3ft tall, his ink demon form is 7'7", and his ink beast form is 8ft on all fours

very talkative. he talks a lot in general but even more so when hes excited, flustered, and happy

he speaks with a transatlantic accent and basically sounds like the gospel of dismay bendy because im very unoriginal

talks with his hands and gestures a lot. he also expresses with his tail

animalistic traits include purring like a cat, and growling n snarling like an animal. when hes feeling happy, excited, etc. he wags his tail like a doggy

his tail is pretty sensitive near the base since it got pulled a lot in the studio. it hurts him when it gets pulled so he hates it. used to have a wound on his tail in the studio from when he tried to cut it off but it healed when he got fused with 66

hates when strangers touch his tail. he is more tolerable when friends and family touch his tail. loves when his romantic partner touches his tail, especially the base and tip

also like a cat, he loves attention and will come up to you to just hang out, maybe even try to get your attention so you can give him some love; expect him to rub his head on you too. of course, he will also cause mischief if hes bored, just like a cat. his ink spikes up when hes surprised like a cat as well

(( sorry it gets kinda long so im gonna put the rest under here ))

he just likes to be with his loved ones or romantic partner, even if theyre not doing anything, he likes to sit by them or even on them, lean on them, lay by them, curious about what theyre up to

loves to be held and carried. sitting on your shoulders is also fun for him. he isnt too heavy either

loves being touched, it makes him feel nice. just a pat on the head, a rub on the back, or a gentle stroke of his tail (if youre his romantic partner) will bring up his mood

very clingy, loves to be shown affection. gets jealous if his romantic partner is giving attention to someone other than him

loves to also cuddle, nuzzle, and canoodle

he loves attention and being in the center of it. he gets frustrated if hes ignored

made of ink but can be solid, like hed just have regular skin until he starts melting. hed be a little shiny as you could see in my older posts. he is also very smooth because he is hairless

very squishy, he is so squishy, everything is squishy but his teeth and shoes. i am unsure of the hardness of his hooves but ive always thought of it as two big toes in terms of flexibility. i cant decide if they should be two big squishy toes or two big hard toes

doesnt really have insides since he is 100% made of ink. this also means he has no bones. his bowtie, gloves, and shoes are also made of ink

he is very flexible

he can melt into a puddle to squeeze through small gaps. if hes wearing anything that isnt his normal bowtie and shoes, he'll have to bring it with him or leave it behind

if you are in a room with the door closed without him, he will make his way in by squeezing through the gap under the door. if there is no way in he will beg you to let him in if theres no one else around to bother

he has full control of his ink and can use it to stretch himself out to reach something or transform into anything

has nightmares of the studio a few times every year and every time he wakes up, hed need comforting. if theres no one around to comfort him, he will curl into a ball and hug himself

protective of his friends and especially his family and partner. he will not hesitate to hurt people that dare hurt someone he cares a lot about

dealing with someone thats abusive and hurts others will make him see red

doesnt like anyone touching his bowtie including his friends and family except for someone hes deeply in love with. fiddles with his bowtie a lot

has a long and stretchy forked tongue

bad at playing videogames :(

kind of messy

is ok with spicy food but not unaffected by the heat

doesnt smell like anything

loves watching horror movies even if he gets scared. he also loves comedies with dumb humor

he loves jokes, puns, dad jokes, and bad jokes

likes to get drunk and party

he can juggle and is very good at it

loves to dance, sing, show off, and dress up

likes to be praised as in complimented and admired

collects merch of himself. toys, posters, shirts, whatever there is, he will collect it

loves to kiss and be kissed. cheek kisses, mouth kisses, head kisses, body kisses, french kisses, he loves kissing

if hes in a relationship with someone he really likes, hed go out of his way to do romantic things for them like buying flowers and taking them on dates to fancy places. he will also call them all sorts of cute names like "sweetheart", "sweetie", "honey", "toots", "doll", etc. he will also show them all sorts of affection like hand-holding, lots of kisses n cuddles, and other stuff i cant mention here
