We're making a fanbook and we want everyone to join! any play, performance, or game is a cage because it's played by the rules written by someone else or whatever black sails is about.

i think both max and silver wouldve been fixed if they were allowed to simply scheme and lie with each other as partners instead of forced to work with rackham/anne or flint. they would work so well together the few times they meet, they Get each other on a basic level, they are FOILS. they both succumb to the pressures of ambitious new leadership, they deal with conflicting self-identity under masks made out of survival, they know and influence so many yet are never known themselves by those even closest to them, and also they share the desire to obtain a lot of money. let them scheme

Perhaps say instead, 'How lucky I am that I am not broken by what has happened and I'm not afraid of what is about to happen.' For the same blow might have struck anyone, but not many who would have absorbed it without capitulation or complaint.
