Venus the Mawile comes from Alola, moving to mainland to learn first aid at the rescue team guild--and also where she meets Ratt the Morgrem. She acts as the team's strong arm as well--as we all know, Mawiles use their cute face deceptively!

Kind of ironic that I happily used Tinkaton yet I’ve barely looked at Mawhile since I was a kid. Maybe oneday I’ll give it a fair shot, just needs to feel right in the moment.

I like this piece tho! It’s fun for doing only one stage.

My other lovely misfit pokemon! My ragtag team ever grows...

First off is Suzu the Bashful Bronzong:

They're very shy, but loves to eat. Give it treats and you just made yourself friends with a giant sentient bell.

Next is Raijin the Brave Luxray (He/him)

He's very protective and never likes to leave my side when he's out (Luxray should be a dark type in my humble opinion, I mean look at him <3!)

and Finally Baku the mischievous Mawhile! (He/they)

Don't be fooled by his cute demeanor, he can and will bite if you don't give him pets right away when he wants them.

Is Mega Evolution really as dangerous as people say? While I'm not usually one to doubt science, all the research on it sounds very... biased. The research apparently didn't even come from Kalos, where Mega Stones are typically found, but from Alola. I know I'd never want my Pokemon to do anything they don't want to, and my Mawile seems to enjoy it, but I'm wondering if she's the exception rather than the rule...

Some pokemon luck out and get a mega evolution that isn't painful or distressing such as mawile (which is pretty typical for them) or gardevoir. But for many species of pokemon it can be deeply painful or distressing, and I personally don't feel it's humane.

If your partner isn't distressed and seems to enjoy the added power, feel free. But many pokemon don't.

But for mawile specifically, their mega evolution is pretty safe and quite powerful, to the extent many tournaments ban it as unfair.
