Marvel Comics Returns to “Secret Wars”

Marvel Comics has announced a new limited series set during Jim Shooter, Mike Zeck, and Bob Layton’s Secret Wars for the series’ 40th anniversary. Starring Spider-Man and the Human Torch, Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars: Battleworld hails from writer Tom DeFalco, the editor of the original Secret Wars series, and artist Pat Olliffe.

“The mysteries of the Secret Wars deepen! Get ready for an all-new cataclysmic battle from when Spider-Man first got his alien costume and a mysterious being called the Beyonder assembled super heroes and villains from Earth to do battle on a patchwork planet. Witness now an untold adventure set during the original Secret Wars!” (Marvel Comics)

Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars: Battleworld #1 (of 4) goes on sale on November 22, 2023. The first issue features a main cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli, a variant cover by Pat Olliffe, a variant cover by Francesco Mobili, an homage variant cover and a virgin homage variant cover by Ryan Stegman, and a connecting variant cover by Todd Nauck.

was at my local comic book store, and i saw that there's just a new run of the 1984 battleworld, and i grabbed it immediately. thank god for the new spideytorch crumbs headed my way during this limited run.
