The Steele Family Album: Volume XIX
Back at the Steele family home, there's an important event taking place.
Simon is meeting his daughter Laura for the first time.
But there's also a goodbye to be said - this time to Lucy. And William is actually cheering about it! 😮 Things have been rather frosty between them, ever since he witnessed Lucy's moment of weakness with George, but this is a whole other level of vindictiveness!
And then - perhaps through divine providence - the living room furniture catches fire. Thankfully, the urns containing the ashes of Lucy and Meg on the mantelpiece survive the blaze intact!
Catherine and Simon have also been a little careless again. Or perhaps it was by design this time?
Catherine very sensibly goes into labour in the nursery...
...and gives birth to a second daughter - Rebecca. Let's hear it for recessive genes! She has her great-grandmother's eyes, passed on through her grandmother Kitty.
Shortly after, arriving home from work one evening - with a colleague in tow - karma finally sneaks up on William from behind, in the form of Grim.
He doesn't mind too much. After all, he is going to rest in peace in a tropical paradise - or maybe just to sit on the mantelpiece, next to his fiancée and his cat. Who can say?
Brie is noisily outraged at the departure of her Sim. But Independent Dolly - having no strong bond with the rest of the family - makes the pragmatic decision to try her luck elsewhere, and slopes off alone into the darkness of the night.
Of course, Catherine reports Dolly as missing straight away - she is an elder now, and Catherine is worried about her being out on the streets. But whether she will be seen again is anyone's guess. Cats, after all, are their own masters.

Huntsville Revived #406
Margery and Archer spent time together, catching up.
“The food here is incredible. The fruit! You’ve never eaten anything fresher. You need to bring Justin to the market. Go before 8am. Then, it’s almost exclusively locals and it’s a much better experience then once al the tourists arrive.”
“Will you and Marisa join us?”
“You and Justin should go, just the two of you,” Archer replied. Margery’s deep blush showed that her feelings for Justin were growing.
“I wish that you and Marisa weren’t so far. I know you can’t travel, with the pregnancy, but you missed William and Violet’s wedding, and I missed your wedding...” Margery allowed herself to complain just a little.
“I promise, Marisa and I will be there if there’s another wedding in the family.” Archer meant if Margery decided to marry Justin, and she knew it.
“How can I get married again? I dishonoured the Watcher already with a divorce. Getting married again would only be further dishonour,” she said quietly.
“Margery, it’s a new day. You are allowed to have a new life. Divorce is almost like death - the death of your marriage. You are allowed to be happy again, and marry again if you want.” Archer was so much happier now that he was with the right person, and that’s all he wanted for his sister.
She nodded at what he said, but still didn’t seem totally convinced.
“Now tell me about my niece, or is it my nephew? Or do you know?” Margery changed the subject.
“We aren’t sure. It’ll all be a surprise. We didn’t plan it, actually, it just happened.”
“Sounds like a pretty good description of your whole relationship,” Margery teased.
“So it was Archer’s idea to come here and get married?” Faraday asked. She had been subtly asking Marisa questions. The girl knew what William had told her, but had no idea of Faraday’s involvement.
“It was exactly what I wanted, I’ll be honest,” Marisa said smiling, “I didn’t imagine that he would want this, exactly, but then he did and we couldn’t be happier.”
“You’ve had to change careers?”
“I have. It’s a whole new life.”
When Archer and Marisa headed out, Faraday took the occasion to say a few words to Marisa.
“We all look forward to seeing you and Archer visiting Huntsville again soon. I’ve spoken to Matthew, and he agrees that this will be for the best for Margery. You’ll be welcome to come and go whenever you wish.”
The emphasis was clear and Marsia realized that it might well be possible to go visit, although she and Archer had every intention of staying for the rest of their days with the Islands as their permanent home.

During this time, the household will have two servants temporarily, serving as an orientation period for Marisa to acquaint herself with the family and household responsibilities.
Lady Mary-Sue vigilantly monitors every action of Marisa, ensuring she doesn't inadvertently become entangled in the affairs of her unfaithful husband.

Of course Don Lothario would open up a plastic surgery clinic in Pleasantview. He might've had good intentions once upon a time when he joined the Medicine career, but now it's all about the money. And there's a lot of money in plastic surgery.
From the front desk, sims can book their appointments via secretary Marisa Bendett, and then visit Don's office for a private consultation about the desired treatment(s). Besides the wide range of surgeries, Don also offers massage therapy to his clients; a big hit with his sporty customers with sore muscles...
