Just finished with this miniature ocean life jurnal!
I was very happy to learn along with every page the life and curiosities of each subject, for example that octopus arms are actually called arms and not tentacles, and that the narwhale tusk is his left canine.
The miny journal is up to sell in my Etsy shop and half of the money will be donated to the marine ocean wildlife foundation Captain Paul Watson

For the first time in recent history, a killer whale stranded in the Southeastern United States. The 21-foot, 5,000 pound adult female passed away very shortly after beaching in Flagler County, Florida on January 11, 2023, and her body was transported to SeaWorld Orlando for necropsy (animal autopsy). The death appears to be the result of natural illness, with no anthropogenic factors.
Orcas are extremely rare off the eastern coast of Florida, and this could well be a once in a lifetime occurrence. After decomposition, the whale’s skeleton will be displayed at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

December 1st
"December Has Begun"
I originally wanted to write this without having to put it into pencil first, but misspell December 3 times. Big stickers to the rescue though.

So I wrote about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and colorism within Latino communities!
Hi, y'all! I'm Izzie Ramirez, an editor and reporter for Vox, a digital publication that explains the news. Given all the nonsense on Twitter, where I would normally share my writing, I thought I would start sharing my work here. used to be pretty active here as a studyblr back in 2012 — my writing was forged by Tumblr! (Albeit, those accounts are separate from this one, and I don't feel like merging those identities right now).
Anyway, I wrote about how Mexican news anchors are claiming the new Black Panther movie "separates" Latinos — and if we really want to create better futures, not just in fiction but in real life, we need to rip off the bandage around colorism ourselves. I hope you engage with this piece! It's not all-encompassing, but it's meant to be a conversation starter around Latino colorism.
I know that Tumblr is very community-oriented, so if you think there's any I should join or tags I should follow, let me know!
