Top 5 historical R19 manhwas you should give it a try

It's been awhile since I post here. Thank you for following me. Can't believe I have 280 followers ^^♡ so I was thinking what I should post about and I thought "why not? Let's give adults here something to read" lol.

In no particular order, let's start:

5. The Sultan's Love

First of all, art is 💯. Story is simple and not that dramatic. You will def enjoy MC's naivety and ML's obsession. Smut is also drawn very well and although short, it's def enjoyable read. (Completed)

4. Winter Wolf

Everything starts with MC trying to run away from rebels and arriving at promised place with a broker who will help her to get to safe place or... will he?! First smut is good and although MC's IQ decreases sometimes, it still has decent art and enjoyable moments. It has this creepy vibe at first but it gets better.

3. Marriage of Convenience

This one is timetravel/historical manhwa. There is both R15 and R19 ver out. There is alot of historical elements in it like child marriage and ect. Characters are living in a dark age if you ask me. eventhough MC's second life is much brighter, it doesn't change the real facts. I enjoy how ML grows closer to MC and is such a fanboy for her.

2. A Kind Goblin's Bird

This manhwa is pure fluff. MC being abused all her life learns how to love and embrace her deep scars from ML. I love how also ML had a tragic past but it didn't make him a tr*sh. They are a perfect and healthy couple for smut genre. (Completed)

1. The Broken Ring

Aka "This Marriage Will Fail Anyway". This one got R19 version recently and manhwa's art is so pretty you all gonna enjoy it. Aside from R19, I have to mention this story is deep and tragic. It will touch you heart and makes you cry and laugh with it. Do not judge ML in first chapters. Trust me.

(I couldn't help putting novel cover too. Both manhwa and novel have beautiful art.)

I've been reading Mi-ae's story, and I could relate to it on so many levels. The only difference we had is that while she's just a 9th grade student, I was already in college, so it's a big gap in education, alright?

But they were right. At 16, it's better to k*ll yourself rather than get embarrassed in front of all your friends. Another point is that she had friends that she could turn to, while I'm having trust issues. Also, being independent in another city when you were barely a teenager takes a whole lot of courage.

That's why the only advice I can give to all teens is to spend less time on technology, spend more time with your friends, especially close ones, and do anything you won't regret. Because, just like a senior in high school, it's a life-or-death situation. You need to decide what's best for you and enjoy life in the process.

Review: Blooming Sequence

CW: Mentions of abuse

This review contains minor spoilers for the first season

I had never read any manhwa before I read Blooming Sequence. At the time of writing this review, that was three months ago. Since then, I've read a total of eight more. I think it's safe to say that Blooming Sequence got me hooked. It's just that good.

The series is split up into two 'seasons', and each one has a different vibe to it. The first season focuses mostly on the developing relationship between the protagonists Ahn Hayoung and Hyun Seowoo and feels like a nice, fluffy yuri romance. It's enjoyable to read and does a good job at introducing all the different characters and their relationships. If the series ended after the first season, I would have been perfectly fine with that and thought of it as a nice yuri manhwa. But it doesn't. It has a second season. And that second season is what made Blooming Sequence one of my favorite series of all time.

The first season had a few side characters that felt like they were just there to create conflict between Hayoung and Seowoo, most notably Yi-hwa, Hayoung's ex-girlfriend. The way she was portrayed in the first season made me just want her to GTFO and stop bothering the homosexual actions between Hayoung and Seowoo, but the second season did such a good job developing her as a character that she actually became one of my favorites.

Blooming Sequence is the perfect example of how to do side-character development. It never feels like it's taking away time from the main paring when there's a chapter focuses more on one of the side characters, instead it feels like you're getting a better understanding of the overall story and how everyone's relationships are connected. It doesn't come up with some sort of redemption arc, or some reasoning for hurting others that justifies a character's decision. It just shows you the whole picture over time, and let's you decide how you feel about their actions without spoon feeding you. Except for Seowoo's abusive dad. He can go fuck himself.

Another thing that Blooming Sequence does wonderfully is blending comedy and drama together without making it feel out of place. Ga-eun, one of Hayoung's friends who helps out with her club project, could be considered as a sort of comedic relief to some situations with her being the thirstiest character in the entire series, but in the second season her character is explored more and her personality gets fleshed out beyond simply being 'Hayoung's incredibly lesbian friend'.

Of course, the romance between Hayoung and Seowoo is done beautifully. Their relationship isn't perfect by any means, in fact, it's more awkward than it isn't with how inexperienced Seowoo is when it comes to dating. But that awkwardness is probably my favorite part of their relationship. It makes it feel so much more real. (She writes despite never being in a real relationship before) They also have really gay sex which I think is pretty neat!

Verdict: Highly Recommend

First of all can we just pause and appreciate how beautiful our main leads are?! Yeonwoo's is so cute and Haesol?! She's so handsome!!!---

I literally couldn't focus on the story for the first few pages because I was so drawn to Yeonwoo and how pretty he is! His crush on Haesol is just adorable and I love how wholesome and pure it is. No underlying motive just a sweet boy who's fallen for a beautiful woman.

Mi-Ae is your typical middle schooler, albeit a little shorter than most. She likes comics, idols and hanging out with her friends. Her main concerns are the pressures of exams and her struggles with studying. What happens when a boy she used to know as a kid transfers into her school with a new look, one that towers over the vast majority of their peers?

Cheol’s intimidating appearance isn’t the height of her struggles, as Mi-Ae soon comes to find that her childhood acquaintance rejects every attempt she makes at getting to know him.

How many shenanigans will she have to pull to get him to crack? And what becomes of their relationship when he finally does?

Personal Notes:

This manhwa is honestly my favourite Webtoon at the moment. Definitely a slow burn but absolutely worth it. The way friendship blossoms between them before either party even realises it is just so great. And of course, as a romance Manhwa, it’s safe to say that their friendship ripens into something more.

This Manhwa is great in so many ways. First of all, the female lead fits perfectly for a coming of age story because she’s nothing like most female leads in romances, beautiful, elegant, skilled or even that intelligent. Mi-Ae is exactly what you’d expect from a goofy middle schooler.

The male lead on the other hand is serious, outwardly mature and treats her like a kid. He’s considered intimidating by pretty much everybody else in the class and is referred to as ‘Lucifer’ by his peers. Don’t be fooled, they’re the same age and honestly, sometimes Cheol is more childish than her. Personally I think it just adds to his charm.

MANHWA REC- The one within the villainess

Status- ongoing

HOO BOY this is actually a really good manhwa

I've read in a good while, its your average reincarnation manhwa except the original villainess our mc reincarnates into is still conscious and simply exists as like an alter personality inside the mind of the body that they now both share, i really love this take as l've only seen one other like it where the owner of the body and the new reincarnated soul share a body but I've never seen one where the original owner of the body has actually stuck around.

The premise of the story without spoiling too much is a pitiful villainess who only wanted to be loved is saved from a reincarnated soul of a girl named emi whose memories of loved ones and family in her past life help the og villainess learn what love truly is and while stuck in the mind of her own body and watching the mc emi control her body and live this new life she searches through the mcs memories and slowly comes to love emi as a sister and supports her from the confines of her own mind as emi remains clueless that the og villainess is still conscious within her mind. As time passes and emi realizes shes in an otome game shes played before she vows to make the villainess happy and works hard to become strong and have a good reputation in order to avoid the villainesses death at the end of the game, but misfortune strikes when the true mc of the game arrives, the star maiden. After everything emi has done in order to have a happy ending she is still blamed as the villainess and has her engagement with the prince annulled under accusations of bullying the star maiden and is banished from her home, the despair of this betrayal from her friends and fiancé who she trusted sends emi into a pit of despair and finally the og villainess resurfaces to take control of the body again vowing to take revenge on all who betrayed emi.

(If you love a girl boss mc then you should definitely check this one out, i especially love the platonic love themes in the manhwa but it's still ongoing so I'm not sure if there's a mI)

I Stole the First Rankers Soul (Manhwa) - by LEE JUNG - (7/10)

Synopsis

Genres: action, romance, comedy

Moa Son, your everyday office woman, wakes up to find herself trapped alone in a dungeon. She escapes and awakens as a hunter, only to fall into the dungeon again. She is rescued by the strongest hunter, Jihan Seo, who dies in the process. She obtains his soul and he is bound to her as a result. He promises to make her strong under the condition that she beats every boss monster of every dungeon in the world.

Plot

Dungeon crawling, stat raising manhwa are a dime a dozen nowadays. However, this is the only one I’ve ever seen with a female lead. That automatically gives it some points in my book. Otherwise, the plot is pretty decent. It’s pretty typical to how these stories typically go, but the world building is enjoyable when they eventually get to it. It is all dropped at once in one monologue though. What makes this manhwa enjoyable is the relationship with the leads and its pretty good action scenes. If you’re itching for some action with a dash of romance, this might be for you.

Art

The art in this manhwa is really nice. The action scenes in particular are really well done. It also has some really cool monster designs. The only thing I can complain about is that sometimes Moa’s face specifically can look a little off. I think it’s because her eyes are so big that she looks a little bug-eyed at times.

Characters

Moa is enjoyable as a main character. She’s capable, compassionate, and pretty smart. She is however, quite naive and reckless, and she makes some actions that make me question why she wouldn’t think a little more about possible consequences before she acts.

Jihan starts off as a nice yet distant battle maniac. He ends up growing into a huge softie for Moa. He is very good at teaching her how to operate as a hunter and is very overprotective of her. While he is overprotective, he does acknowledge her strength.

Both characters shine more as a pairing rather than as individuals. They physically cannot be apart, so we don’t see them act individually too often. Towards later chapters, they come off a bit like a married couple with Moa as the working wife and Jihan as her avid househusband. It’s quite cute.

There are few important side characters in this manhwa. The first is Eundam Yu. He’s the #2 ranker and leader of one of the most powerful guilds in South Korea. He’s mischievous towards his allies and ruthless towards his enemies. He enjoys flirting with Moa for the sole purpose of messing with Jihan. He’s a fun character.

Another is Ban Seohu. He’s the #3 ranker and is the leader of a separate guild. I’m not the most fond of him. They build him up to be a no-nonsense, unyielding, powerful man but he then proceeds to be fooled and bent to the will of other characters pretty easily. It’s a bit underwhelming. They also try to simultaneously portray him as stone-hearted and a bit of softie. I understand that characters should have multiple sides to them, but he changes back and forth so quickly that it’s jarring. Luckily, he isn’t that important.

Overall

I enjoyed this series. It’s not my favorite of its genre (shout out to My S-Class Hunters) but it’s still pretty good. Definitely a fun series to binge in one day and never touch again.

Completed isekai manhwas recommendation:

1. Virtues of Villainess.

One of the cutest couple ever *-* Art, story, MC are all cute, funny and enjoyable. I suffered from second male lead syndrome in this manhwa and I was dumbfounded about how stupid the "real" villainess was but again it was a simple and lovely story.

2. As You Wish, My Prince!

I loved ittt and I'm kinda sad it isn't that popular among isekai fans. it's so realistic! Like you feel how it truely feels like when you enter the novel you wrote and all of your choices comes back to you but you have to survive somehow. Anyway story is more focused on MC and ML trying to fight against their own destiny and accidently falling in love. Some dramatic accidents were too much but stil good read.

3. Light And Shadow

MC = Queen. That's all I'm gonna explain about this manhwa. Just alittle sidenote, after first chapters you're gonna think ML is a tr*sh but he is just a stupid war-maniac so don't worry.

4. Why Are You Doing This Duke?!

Side stories were making me more flustered than main story lol. MC is shy, stupid and cute at the same time and ML is tsun trying to fight with some magic curse which makes him so cheesy. That's the summary :)

5. Doctor Elise

MC is one of the most hardworking MCs out there. She was doctor in prev life and in her second chance she does everything she can so her family can survive and live well. All men fell in love with her bc she invents the whole medical system lol but ML is the hottest. (Maybe her older bros are the hottest.)

6. Villainess In Love

Need a reason to read?! ISHID. This man is the finest ML you can find in this whole world. He is cute, hot, wild and innocent at the same time. MC is mature enough to handle him so don't worry lol. Still waiting for sidestories.

7. Villain's Savior

In first chapters MC cries like 24/7 and it gets annoying like "girl stop crying for 1 sec" but later in story, the reason behind it was revealed so ig it's okay now. Anyway art is 💯 and ML is obsessed with MC and he isn't innocent at all. So prepare yourself for wild ride lol.

8. Beware Of the Villainess

I love how Melissa treats MLs in the story. She slaps them hard with FACTS. She is strong, funny, reasonable and QUEEN. Anyway find someone who looks at you like how Nine looks at her.

9. Miss Not-so Sidekick

If you have been following me and my posts, you def know my fav manhwa as I mention it ALOT lol. One of the funniest, most enjoyable manhwas out there is this one. Author never fails to make you laugh and artist does know how to deaw memes. MC makes everything funny and ML becomes fan of this ability ^^

10. The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up

ML is obsessed and MC tries to run away all the time to test how obsessed he truely is. That's my summary.

(Rb or like if you decide to read one of these titles after seeing this, I love knowing if I’ve inspired anyone to read things I have! It’s fun)

Pond Snail Robber

“The delightful and brutal life of living with a robber! Ji Ho ends up missing the deadline to apply for a dorm due to a slip of carelessness but luckily a sunbae from his major helps him get a room nearby. Unfortunately, not even half a day after moving in he gets attacked by a robber. After managing to get away, Ji Ho later comes back home to see the robber shedding tears over the novel he wrote in high school...But this robber, with the reason of wanting to continue reading his unfinished novel, asks to live with him in exchange for taking care of the house?! The sweet and fierce life of these two has started!”

(I wouldn’t say the description is totally great at describing what’s actually happening but it’s good at hiding spoilers of what the actual circumstances ended up being and it’s kinda a funny joke about the “robber” part once you read it. Also, it has the cutest unique font design ever, a snail!”)

Boyfriends.

“Want a boyfriend? How about 4?! Meet Prep, Jock, Goth and Nerd -four boys with a lot of love to share!

A comic about getting yourself a boyfriend... or multiple boyfriends! Four college students begin a polyamorous relationship and navigate the adventure that is their dating life!”

(I freaking love this, it’s really smooth and fun, and wholesome. As someone who’s poly you don’t get a lot of kind depictions of poly relationships, or there’s only threesome, foursome, or more being writing about for kinks or open relationships that aren’t poly or about polycules. The graphics are great on the eyes with lots of pastels, and each character has their fun personalities, not to mention actually including a trans guy within a gay relationship! It’s grand. 10/10 love Goth or wanna be Goth ahaa. Nerd is too adorable. Really recommend.)

Minmotion Syndrome

"The 600 million that was left to you, I’ll pay it off for you." Seo Taeyoon, who was dragged into the situation because of his father's debt, got angry and sneers at Park Jaein for being an omega after the latter made a sarcastic remark. Although Taeyoon detected Jaein's faint pheromone scent, he was able to identify him as an Omega. Jaein found Taeyoon interesting, as nobody else can really detect his smell, so he offered to pay off his debt in exchange for buying him...! Thus, Taeyoon now wears a leash designed for dogs. How would their dangerous relationship begin and end?”

(So this whole thing is so tongue in cheek so far, and absolutely not digestible for everyone, though I’m only at chapter 9. but the art, is phenomenal and I adore the styles for both characters. And well, it’s nice to see omegas which are characters designed to always submit and be mindless totally being the top dog. I like it when things don’t fit into boxes, it’s kinda like in any nsfw circumstances where someone typically assumed as having to be subservient, isn’t, because it’s not as cut and dry as that nor has to for, for instant when people are like big macho bois can’t “bottom”… if you catch my drift.~ Park Jaein is pretty mentally whomped aha, his “crazy eyes” are spooky hot. I’m so bad. Taeyoon is an omega hating alpha son of a poor drug addicted male omega SW (adult worker). It goes into their stories about why they’re the way they are, and I guess I’m hoping it works out and they don’t hate each other anymore.)

The Pizza Delivery Man and The Gold Palace

My progress on my WIP

hit 20k words and read king of pride by Ana Huang - THE BOOK DID NOT FAIL ME. I absolutely loved it. Kai's vocabulary kept me anticipating for the British Chinese man to speak I could hear his voice when ever he said "love", "sweetheart", "darling" and my personal favorite "my love".

here are some new manhwa's to try if you want avoid death

i'm being raised by villains- if you want awkwardness, fluffiness and everyone's fav cuteness then this is it.

A transmigrator's privilege(The Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine)- she dies and is given the chance to pick what genre she wants to enter. she select ROFAN a genre about kids with sad backgrounds get pampered but is given an SSS class novel, with no second chances she is thrown into the world. Now she lives her life knowing she can die at any moment or the world might end. it funny and cute with little fluffiness as spice. PS the art style is beautiful.

Please Give Me the Pacifier- if you like the first one then you would love another cute greed goblin here.

so that's three Female main character now male

The youngest son of the namgung clan- long story short he died and went back in time after being a failure. Now, determined to gather money and move to the country side. and yes, he's already failing.

How to Use a Returner (The Regressor's Instruction Manual)- he priority is surviving.

Trash of the counts family- if this wasn't here then there was no point in this. his whole journey is him snagging important things in the story to survive when the world is in ruin.

And lastly as comic that has been living rent free in my head, i'll keep recommending it. I have some conflicting feelings on the manhwa “Hero Killer”…

(Spoiler Free) Okay, so I recently started reading the manhwa “Hero Killer” and I’m not sure if I like it… Now the plot is interesting, essentially an OP FL wants to get revenge by, you guessed it, killing heros. It kind of gives off “The Boys” vibes, with a corrupt hero society and other super-powered people going against them. It’s very violent and quite frankly unforgiving to its characters. I think it has a lot of potential, but it doesn’t deliver fully. Like- I feel like it doesn’t delve fully into character development and the consequences of certain events. There’s only two characters after 40ch in that I can say I care for and it’s not even the main characters?! They’re interesting, but the series doesn’t pull punches from the fact that they aren’t good people. So it’s like- You’re watching these people do horrible things (that make them no better than what they hate) while not even getting emotionally involved enough to empathize with them. It could just be me, but that’s my take?🤷‍♀️

Recommend: Not really, but go for it if you like darker and action packed series.

Score: 4/10, The Art is great, but I personally am not the biggest fan of the plot or at least- the lack it delves into certain aspects.
