An old Raph POV Man vs Sewer edit- somehow I’ve never seen this idea done? It’s implied he doesn’t really remember wrecking the tunnel, possibly not even his panicking, so I snipped that part out. The destruction’s especially jarring without context.
Some cool shots of one of the very few Raph centric episodes there is! The Sewers are gross but DAMN are the colors on this episode absolutely beautiful, with their mixes of blue and purple for the walls, the INTENSE reds for Raph's scenes when he's gone wild, the soft green light
"I believe that Leo wouldn't have acted the way he did if Splinter had designated him as Raph's co-leader right from the start instead of the "new leader." Leo has demonstrated some good traits and common sense (ex: In "Man vs Sewer" he was adamant about finding Raph before the loneliness provoked "Savage Raph"). I think Leo wants recognition for his input and his abilities: he didn't want all the spotlight on himself, no matter how much he acts like it. And while he did get a bighead in "Shell in a Cell", remember that he was insisting that wrestling wasn't serious/that anyone could beat Ghost Bear (and he was right for the most part)."
As much focus as Leo's bond with Casey got attention. I thought it was wholesome to see what subtle influence future April and Donnie had on Casey. Throughout the movie Casey pretty much shows nothing but fondness/respect/complete trust in April, arguably just as much if not more then Leo. Also Casey wears Donnie's signature all the time and it's obvious from his mask to all his other tech were made by Donnie. Donnie must have loved this kid a lot. I bet he taught him how to read and stuff.
The way I see it, Casey looks up to people like April and Donnie in a “they are my commander” kind of way. I definitely think he adored and aspired to be like all the Mad Dogs, but his connection with Leo is much stronger because Leo took Casey under his wing after Cassandra was gone. That was his mentor! Leo is the people person, the face man! People love him.
Now I’m curious abt Mona meeting savage Raph in terms of him being alone…
Bruv, chubs and I thought about it in case that was what you meant earlier but we have no idea genuinely. The only consensus was that Mona would probably think it's strange that this happens but would obviously try to calm him down. My mental image was that she'd just go "shhh shh its okay, hush" and like try to show that she isn't a threat. Other than that ✌️ nuthin
Snow Day: April and the Mad Dogs build a snowman of Jupiter Jim together, but are then divided over which flag should be used as the final touch. But when a mutated Ghostbear tries to ruin their snow day, they must put their arguing aside to defeat him.
Man vs. Sewer: The Mad Dog's lazy river ride in the sewers takes a wrong turn when Raph gets separated and left alone. Now, Donnie, Leo, and Mikey gotta find Raph soon, who goes savage when he is left alone.
