From electronic shops to play areas with VR games and shops from exclusive brands, the average time spent by a family in the mall is at least 3 to 4 hours. In a city like Dubai, weekend getaways always consist of a trip to the mall.

And after all the shopping and playing, everyone rushes to the food court at the mall. But have you ever wondered why the mall food court is always placed on the top floor? This is a conscious marketing decision taken by the mall developers. Let us explore the reasons for this strategic placement:

Spacious layout

A food court consists of several outlets, it will have popular restaurant outlets in Dubai with their seating arrangement and a common seating arrangement for the other food outlets. This kind of set-up needs proper spacing. Therefore, it makes sense to have the food court on the top floor away from all the other hustle-bustle.

Psychological move

Mall owners want you to spend your money on all the different activities it offers. A food outlet with its delicious smells and scrumptious display can distract shoppers. Therefore, food courts in Dubai are found on the top floor to serve as a tasteful relief from roaming around the malls.

I was on a holiday in England and decided to go to one of the malls, and everyone there was dressed in punk clothes and I was like, man this is so cool, I love all of your outfits.

And then I went to go and get food from the food court area of the mall, but the only food they sold was beans, everything was beans, like just black beans.
