But in those quiet winter months when the war seemed to abate, if spying was not in the cards, the apprenticeship act he pulled to get into York CIty was looked at with a desperate glimmer in his eyes when his coin bag was low. So however the war ended, a plunge into completing his law degree did seem a bit promising. He had all of the knowledge needed, he just needed the supervision for it. If spying hadn't taken up so much of his time, a career in law didn't seem unsuitable for him.

So have you ever considered having It's Walky and the Dumbing of Age cast meet each other, or would that clash against DOA's mroe mundane setting?
It might make for an interesting "what if" story, but it'd disrupt too much in the regular canon to be a thing that could happen. Joyce and Walky must never know they were married and had children.

Eclipse in progress part 2
Okay so I've only seen two more episodes and I kind of had in my head I'd watch till the end of 8 before writing anymore because I have the time but episode 7 just one two suckerpunched my feelings so I need to go regulate.
For the record while I'm a sucker for crying I get WAY MORE OVERWHELMED when things are bitter sweet and this episode is whoooooooaaaaaa

So some thoughts
I had forgotten about Namo he could also have stolen the diary and I think logistically this makes mroe sense because he is in a different year level so not expected to be in class BUT where did he get the key? Whereas Thua being class president potentially gives him key acces idk and I still feel like there's more layers
We still really haven't gotten background on anyone which is why I wasn't going to post yet so my theories havent changed much except
TURNS OUT AKK IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CAR
Did both Ayan and his uncle have a necklace? I'm really unsure about whether or not Ayan legit saw his suicide or has just vividally imagined it but n the dreams they're both wearing it whereas I had previously assumed Ayan was wearing his uncles necklace.
Namo also seems to genuinely believe in the curse so where did this rumour come from, I don't feel like it's NEW, did Akk hear it and just capitalise on it? or has someone else being doing this in the past? Is it passed down from the head prefect
also Khan and Wat are prefects were they indoctrinatinated by candelight??
1984 stuff was WAY LESS SUBTLE than I was expecting when Akk first found that book

Khan thinking Ayan is playing with Akk and Thua but gently confronting it rather than getting jealous made me appreciate him even more
ALSO THE POWER DYNAMICS in the framing of Ayan and Neo’s convo on the stairs, Neo is SO MUCH HIGHER and yet from the loew position Ayan managed to be confident and understanding.

Oooooooooo. Oh no. I’m breaking my super mysterious persona to use tumblr as a personal trauma dumping diary aur naur !!!!!!!! Uh vent under cut but I really R E A L L Y Need to reiterate I’m not looking for pity or sympathy at all I just need a place to write all this down!!!!!! If you have advice ofc that’s always welcome but I’m not trying to centre myself at all or make anything about me I just need a space to vent !!!!!
I’m obviously not the first person to say this but I REALLY REALLY HATE the passage of time. I hate that it’s almost the new years and all of my art and posts and other peoples art is gonna be from last year or just have the ‘2023’ label on it. I hate that people are going to move on from my interests and I am TERRIFIED that IIIIIII may also move on. That scares me so unbelievably bad. I hate it so so much I hate that I can’t just pause time or pause my anxiety or autism or ocd to make me stop worrying for two seconds. I hate that so many things are gonna be in the past- like what do you MEAN re4r is gonna be a YEAR OLD in March of next year???????? I cant do that shit man!!!!!!! I can’t see people move on!!!!!!!!!
I HATE being reminded of how fickle everything is so so so SO much. Everytime E V E R Y T I M E something good happens to me, it’s paired with something bad- literally every time without fail. I hate that I can’t enjoy those good things cuz I’m subconsciously constantly waiting for something bad to happen.
For the first time since I came out to my parents in March 2022 I feel like I actually have a future to look forward to. I feel like I actually have things to work towards!!!!!! Projects I can start!!!!!!!! Friends to enjoy them with!!! Things to be EXCITED about!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But then like clockwork I’m brutally reminded of the fact that that could all come crashing down and all of my friends could dissapear off of the face of tumblr forever and it’s all fickle and delicate and why should I enjoy the present if I know bad things are gonna come right after???????????
I hate that this thing that’s brought me comfort and security in my life is so delicate. I could get hate crimed and ran off the internet like what happened on Twitter, my account could get deleted, Etc etc-
And worst of all I could loose my friends in the blink of an eye. They could take a break one day and never return. Something could happen to them and I’d never know. They could leave tumblr forever with no warning and I’d have no way of contacting them whatsoever. It’s happened before to me and it caused me SO much anxiety. I’ve had friends who’ve gone on breaks only to pass away and it leaves me wishing I’d DONE ANYTHING to help them or wishing that I spent more time with them or told them I loved them just a lil mroe
I’ve been so stressed out trying to finish as much stuff as I can before the end of the year cuz of arbitrary rules I’ve set for myself. This is the first time I get to be excited for the future yet I’m constantly knocked down and reminded WHY I SHOULDNT be excited.
Everything’s moving on and everything’s so delicate it could all slip away from me in a the blink of an eye and getting to the end of the year and seeing friends take breaks or say that they may have to leave for whatever reason is only making that anxiety worse.
Not to mention my goddamn parents got a divorce. I havent talked about it hete often cuz I feel like if I did it’d be all I talked about NDNEHENEJWN but it’s taken a MASSIVE toll on me. The fact that they’ll never be the same and I’ll never feel completely secure in life ever again has taken its toll on me.
I hate that there’s no solution to this. ‘Just move on/keep going in spite’ doesn’t work for me. I don’t WANT things to move on I don’t WANT things to change I don’t WANT to loose my friends and the community I’ve worked so hard to build and everything I’ve created again. I don’t wanna move on and it hurts so bad.
I don’t want the new years to roll around.

I'm watching murder drones and I've jsut finished ep5 ngl....I'm so confused about soem stuff- So I'm gonna talk about it!
Now, before doing that, the series is amazing, and I love the animation and voices the lore and story are super interesting to! It just has some plot holes and stuff, which is understandable since it's also a YouTube series and doesn't have a big budget like other series. And I don't know I hagnt watched ep6 yet so maybe it has soem answers anyways:
Ep1: really the only thing that doesn't make sense- to me, is J 'dying' because we saw N get his head blasted off woth Uzis gun and he regrew it in....not even a minute- so how come J kinda just...died?
Also, J is the leader not N I well not take it any other way because it being any other way make no sense, cause wife you want a leader for a MURDER TEAM ylu gonna want the most efficient one. V is obsessed with killing, so J reigns her in, N is too nice, so J makes sure he does his job at least somewhat well. She's the leader.
Also we never get more information on the 'other squads' thing, I think it would've been cool if maybe idk, Doll was a DD and was hiding in plan sight or smth. Or maybe her, and Uzis mom, parents were disassembly friens, DD, and they started to blend in with the worker drones, WD, and sorta regret the company and stuff and so N, V and J were sent to get rid of them because they disobeyed orders
It'd make sense why J is so hellbent on the rules and killing and stuff and add some angst and more info as to why doll and Uzi have these powers because they half half DD code and half WD code. And how Uzis' mom wanted doors to be built to hide them she KNEW others would be sent after her and dolls parents and so needed to make sure everybody was ready for that!
Ep2: definitely a LOT more questions- like wtf is that head thing?? Explain?? Pelase?? Why?? How?? When!?
Edit: Never mind what iw rite here- i re watched the episode cause I wanted to, and actually, Uzi does say it runs an auto program to collect new materials, so I just missed that by accident That's my bad, I admit to that
Ep3: we don't really see how much N and Uzis relationships have developed. we don't really see any....bonding, so moments feel a bit out of place. Like how khan says the DD are bad influences, I feel like if maybe there was a filler episode or two- maybe about them sneaking into the colony and staing stuff to rebuild the ship or smth it'd have made moments like that make a lot mroe sense and would've shown their friendship growing and stuff, it'd happen before ep2 tho
And it'd help Ep4, where V/N are put in charge, make a lot more sense because N and Uzi have been sneaking skrund and nit hurting anyone so they kinds disregard N as safe. Other then that is pretty good, I do think we could've had V show a more humane side maybe saying how she only killed dolls parents because of an order, to kill form the company, and show she does feel guilty for killing but because she doesn't have a real choice she trie sto make it as 'fun' as possible. It doesn't have to be emotional it could happen while she's shooting at Doll. Maybe she's mad Dolls killing her friends/classmates of he rown free will or smth idk
Ep4: I kinda get them running to N/V when uzi mentions them being friends because.....she did bring a g^n to school- but I don't understand why they shot an arrow at her, not even by accident or 'cause they were startled the guy pointed and took the shot after seeing her- like why? Why would they SHOOT at her? Or look so scared? I feel like they should been looking away awkwardly or rolling their eyes dismissvly. Maybe the guy sees the symbol in her eye and accidentally pulls the trigger in being startled by it. Jsut confused me
Also wish they showed more of the collar things, maybe it could said 'serial designation N landed *****' and Uzi is confused because it belonged to her mom not N and she sorta realizes who her mom was or smth? Idk just wish they did mroe with it, they might in ep6 havnt seen it yet tho
Also, what's with V threatening Uzi? Like that was so....random- where did she even come from?? I feel like it should've shown V watching Uzi leave and then see the symbol in her eye, and so she panics, quietly, and threatens Uzi because the thing with doll happened maybe a week? Ago in canon, so she'd still be freaked out, I think. Idk, maybe I'm giving V to much credit here

Idk this is purely based on my opinions okay? Understand that? Okay then
I’ve seen a lot of au’s and rewrites for warrior cats. We all know how sexist this series is. A lot of people try and fix this and that’s awesome. But like. Idk.
Every time I see a swiftpaw lives instead of brightpaw au it just irks me. Why not Bright? Why can’t you just explore the trauma and life of Brightheart? She has so much potential that isn’t shown that you can use. Or even worse when both live and she’s made into just a love interest for Swift or or or given a automatic healing arc just so she can help Swift deal with the trauma they both share.
Another thing is how overlooked still a ton of female characters are instead of male characters. Even if they’re like shown often. Like cmon we need more Sandstorm as deputy or Sandstars. Why does every other deputy choice under Firestar never women. Like cmon. It’s always Longtail, Brackenfur, Whitestorm (canon but in these he lives instead), or some other dude.
How about Morningflower??? Not as a deputy under Fire but as a bigger character instead of grieving mother who talks to Fireheart like twice. Make her the deputy before Mudclaw and Onewhisker where she retired now and the two fight over the next role. Works great for drama still and patches the Deadfoot being already dead thing.
Russetfur is also sitting right there y’all. She should get more!!!! Give me mroe of her!!!!

Just found your blog by chance and I can see your hatred for the Feanorians, but while I'm a fan of Maedhros (yes, I am, and I still read through all your posts, because even though he's my favourite; my only acceptable characterization of him is that of an anti-hero at first that witnesses a fall and turns into a villain at the end. He's antagonistic, prideful, and manipulative even at his best, and I don't read his best moments as done out of goodwill. He's Machiavellian to me.) Maglor is much more lionized by the fandom. Maedhros is accepted as problematic, and it's only the loud minority who seems to turn him into a heroic figure, but Jesus are Maglor's fans annoying. Him aDoPtInG the twins is not something worth praising, nor is his last conversation with Maedhros. He's a delusional prick who only tries to gain some self-awareness when it's too late, only for it to be wishful thinking and extreme cognitive dissonance. Yet go on any post or YouTube video, and you'll see the majority mentioning him as a favourite of theirs because "he's kind and remorseful because he adopts the twins!" Yes, adopts them by giving them freaking Stockholm syndrome! It's fucking disgusting honestly.
AHEM. Back in..2003/4 that first year after I read the Silm, I was more sympathetic to Maglor and the Kidnap Family aspect of the story was mroe appealing, but even back then I wasn't totally on board with it or ignoring how messed-up it was, and I hated even the whiff of victim-blaming or negativity towards both Elwing and Eärendil. My tolerance for Maglor and the framing of the twins' abduction lessened until it fell off a cliff. Because it wasn't instant dislike like Fëanor (and Maedhros was always apathetic disinterest to dislike, I would legit forget he was a character in the Silm sometimes), I try to keep a kernel of grace for his misguided fans ;p. More seriously, my disdain and avoidance of the serious Maglor and Maedhros fandom lionization alternates between which one irks me more at the moment, aka which pierces the Girdle. Both via fanart annoy me, but Maglor moreso in fics because I have less than zero interest in the very popular and omnipresent fics that Maedhros dominates. And Maedhros fanart is more common when his supposed hotness feels like fandom gaslighting. But the glorious thing about avoiding interacting with 99% of the Silm and wider Tolkien fandom unless they come to my blog is that said annoyed rants about the Fëanorians petered off. (Now if only I could expunge my XIV feed from Emet Selch and that fandom's distressing widespread embrace of various war crimes favs; it's worse than GoT/House of the Dragon)
One day I'll write the story of my OC, Maedhros's husband and his eventual divorce, because the character concept is one I'm as fond of as Meril and through him it gives me the single hook to make Maedhros personally interesting. Aside from that, Maglor exists for me for that one story about him manipulating his brothers and choking them and how he appears in the Bór sub-series as the Fëanorian rightfully identified as most dangerous and most deluded by his self-pity. And the Nandor rescue squad saving the twins.

i literally love writing hurt/comfort it's like my fave thing and i just saw so MUCH POTENTIAL for it with mairuma and i just NEEDED TO write it so i wrote what i wanted to read and everybody is eating it up and it makes me so happy bc it makes me feel like i'm making a Difference..... LIKE PEOPLE ARE READING THIS GDKDODHRKEHFHR i'm so prous of my fics i really do love that iruma and kalego one that you mentioned i remember having so much fun writing it bc i love protective kalego and i love the idea of kalego comforting iruma bc hes so aggressive all the time but he really does have his students best interests in mind yjwim

mag 155 - cost of living
basing your morality of what does the greatest good in this world is a simple and seemingly effective way to structure your compass. the issue, of course, is that this world is not built equal and not everyone ever gets the luxury of doing anything mroe than caring for themselves. in fact, rather few people ever do. i get we're not exactly supposed to like this woman, but that won't prevent me from going 'yikes' at every other word that exits her mouth. still, this is such an excellent episode, and i really like it
melanie is, as it's known, my favourite character, and this is definitely one of her most defining scenes. the scene where she finally makes the jump, although really her turning point came a good while ago. she cuts her ties, entirely, and it's this sort of bittersweet situation where even though you're happy she finally gets to leave, gets to move on, she must also leave everything behind. and, yeah, things will fuck up in just a few episodes and she'll get pulled back into this bullshit once again, but the point is that they think this is the end. even more so, in what she and jon both think is their final interaction with each other, they are friendly. their relationship will never be good, per se, but this might be the best it's ever been
melanie is interesting, because out of everyone, she is the only person that gets to take genuine steps towards recovery that she gets to keep by the end of the show. she is the exception to what seems to be the fate of all avatars: to inevitably fall and give in to their entity. and i think that's important because, as much as tma is a tragedy, the ending is not hopeless. i personally have a really hard time dealing with tragedies that just seem to be a complete doomsday prophecy. in the forrest scorched by fire you need to get a glimpse of the new green saplings emerging. and that's part of what melanie is: the single leaf proving that there is a way to continue beyond this

Just finished The Story of Minglan
So I just finished the Song Dynasty drama The Story of Minglan with Zhao Liying and Feng Shaofeng in the main roles after binge watching it for a little under a week now. I actually had started it months and months ago but after watching the first few episodes, I noticed immediately that it was going to be a heavy and serious drama and i wasn’t in the right place of mind at the time to deal with it.
But here we are now, after having watched all 73 episodes of this masterpiece. Because that’s my main take away after finishing it : a masterpiece.
There’s a few things that i could nitpick if i really wanted to go into details, but most of them are just scenes i wish we saw more of, and nothing that really changed how the story was told.
First I’ll begin to say that it’s evident this drama was written by women. The harshness of what it means to be a woman in a patriarcal society is depicted so well. And all the women characters are complex and vivid and absent of stereotypes and archetypes. Yes you hate some of them for their actions, and behaviours, but you also understand how they came to become what they are. The stories around divorce and dowry and marriage but also jealousy and ambition and women’s relationship to one another is so central and so vivid, it makes me ache for every single one of them.
Less obvious but to me very much present and commented upon is the treatment of slaves vs the aristocracy, and mroe generally, the way class intersects with women circumstances, even within the lower gentry. I feel like that’s a subject that’s not often touched with historical dramas and here it definitely felt lke the scriptwriters thought about it.
I’ll also point out how fleshed out the relationships between the characters are, all of them. There are no relationships that are just flat and dont make sense or are ignored for the sake of the story. No, everything, every relations is accouted for and you understand how these relations shape the characters.
The male characters are also incredibly well written. Many of them misogynistic, as you’ll expect men from this era to be, but it never feels as if it’s put there just for the plot to advance. No, it makes sense, and each men has its own flavor of it, even the good ones.
The relationship between the man lead and the woman lead is so delectable. At first i didnt really ship them, as we had anoher love interest for Minglan, but Gu Tingye grew on me, just as he grew on Minglan, and I understood why she would love him so. I like that they have a relationships of equals and that despite his scheming, she is his match. In my memory, the only other relationship that grew on me like that in cdramas is Fuyao and Wuji from Legend of Fuyao, where at first I didnt like the ML, but he grew on me.
Which leads me to the acting, which is just so excellent. Zhao Liying is incredible, as she always is, but it’s also really nice to see how she changes Minglan’s posture and facial expressions as she grows. The chemistry between the two lead is just amazing, but so is the entire cast. The Sheng family dynamic is so realistic, you can always feel the tension. Special mention to Zhu Yilong and his gorgeous smile and puppy eyes.
I need to give extra props to the set designing team, and especially the lighting team. I read that they tried to use as many candles as possible to avoid using too much modern lighting, and it’s really appreciated, bc the scenes that happened at night indoors are always well lit (especially in contrast to GoT which is my reference in terms of low-use of modern lighting). In general the sets are very colourful and distinctive, and you can feel the changing atmosphere in the different houses and rooms reflecting the nature of the characters occupying them.
That brings me to the costuming, which I admit i have very little knowledge on Song Dynasty fashion, but I like that it was colourful, that they used the costume to describe the passing of seasons and that each character had their own distinct styles, colours and evolutions.
Overall, I woulld 100% recommend this drama, it’s now definitely in my top 3 cdramas alongside Nirvana in Fire and Joy of Life (even if I cant give a ranking within those three).
As for the few things I would nitpick, they would be 1) Rong’er relationship with her little brothers. How she dealt with the grief of Chang’er, and how she deals with Tuan and how that affects her relationship with Minglan. 2) The relationships with the Sheng sisters at the end. The ending scene seems to suggest that they made peace but I would have liked a scene before, with all three (Hualan wasn’t a part of their dispute) of them talking about how much of a shitty father they have. 3) More happy scenes with Gu Tingye & Sheng Minglan. Maybe it’s bc im a romantic at heart but I just wanted a little bit more scenes of them together, they spend so much time apart T.T
To end things, this drama needs more people to watch it and more people to write fanfiction for it!

You said your problems with writing ceo fics was that you deal with them and other male executives too much. Have you thought about having a female CEO OC? Maybe something like “CEO OC and idol BTS member” or “CEO OC and CEO BTS member ” or “CEO OC and struggling artistic BTS member”. I feel like if you have an OC like that you may be able express your struggles with such people (ceo and executives) through her struggles with them. I like the way you write work environments for Sasha and jk in flux and little bean and I wonder how it would be if there was a story where the one or more of the characters had a more constant work schedule (both of their work schedules seem to be constantly changing between jam packed and days of breaks due to the kinds of work they are doing) and the main problem of the story was most of the time work or family related problems and it’s effects on their relationship.
I actually didn’t read all your fics like most other people here, not because I didn’t like them or wasn’t interested or anything like that but because I tend to have periods of time where I like reading certain things. Sometimes I read hybrid stories until I can’t find any other stuff to read or there’s another topic that’s in a fic I read and I switch to that topic instead and sometimes I watch a movie and want more of the similar vibes so I read similar stories or fics about that movie (Watching Spider-Man had me read some spiderkook fics). Sometimes (quite a lot of times) I want characters to be idols or celebrities or really rich people, sometimes I like fantastical elements being there. So I only read secret song series until now. And that will probably be the case until I catch a vibe for the plot of your other stories. (I haven’t had an hybrid phase for a while now, I’m hoping that summer vibes would trigger that, my inbox has a lot of updates from the hybrid stories I was reading the last time I was reading those)
I know what you mean about phases, I'll sort of do that when I'm in the mood for something in particular and speccifically try to find everything I can for that! I'm glad to hear you're into Sasha and JK's work lives haha because later in the series, we spend more time focused directly on their work loads --right now work is sort of secondary to the focus on relationship, but later it flips for a while.
A female OC ceo, I would totally write that actually! But since a lot of her struggles would still be about being a high level woman in whatever industry, it would still be very frustrating haha, but definitely mroe enjoyable and cathartic than her just having to deal with men. So yeah, I'd potentially write that kind of story! CEO OC with BTS guy who is incredibly supportive of her once their in love and thinks she's the most amazing ever 😍 and gasses her up when shitty men at work make her doubt herself 😍😍

Literally kicking my legs back and forth twirling my hair I love facts... could u tell me about facts from the years 1300 to 1400? Or if you know about it the world trade fair ^-^
ok we're doing that first one YAS um some of these might actually be 1200-1450 and some of these might actually be wrongish since im trying to go off the top of my head sorry...
1. trade went absolutely CRAZYYY in this time period silk roads indian ocean trade network etc as a result religions such as islam spread even in places where pre-existing religions had a pretty strong hold for example though it never overtook hinduism islam spread in the area of the delhi sultanate (what is now northern india) largely bc of the existence of sufis which emphasized the more spiritual and emotional aspects of islam rather than rigid social constraints, it also took a strog hold among those who were unhappy with their place in the caste system and felt drawn to its egalitarian message
2. a heavy enabler of this trade going crazy was the mongol empire, they heavily encouraged trade due to their desire to tax it and set up caravanserai, aka rest stations, along the silk roads along with guard stations. however do not get too attached to the caravanserai bc they heavily contributed to the spread of the black death :')
3. europe was an absolute MESS in this time period tbh they got hit very hard by the plague, which lessened people's faith in the catholic church, which served as the uniifying feature of europe at the time. this wavering in power led to european leaders vying for some of it (going a bit forward in the time period here SRRY its just interesting T___T) and looking for new ways to legitimize their rule, which was done in some crazy freaking ways like ART and RELIGION (which still had a heavy hold on the ppl despite the whole plague thing, just did not the same stability it had before). for example king james I (or was it II?) in england ruled by the divine right of kings, aka the belief that god had chosen him to be king and that going against him was therefore going against god; this allowed him to act above the law all the time. louis the xiv was absolutely CRAZY in this time bc he centralized power to the point of absolutism, first he did thiss normally by the divine right of kings but THEN he built the palace of versailles and was like "french nobles live here so i can watch what you do and make sure you dont shift any power awayfrom me or i will literally cry". additionally, the catholic church heavily promoted art with catholic themes in it to spread their version of the bible to the illiterate peasantry, but when an englishman named john wycliffe was like "hey im going to translate the bible from latin to a more commmon language so mroe people can read it" the church, whose practices of selling indulgences (the absolution of sins bassically) and simonies (church official positions) were NOWHERE in the bible, punished him. this general state of weakened trust in the church and general political instability led to the protestant reformation, but that is in the 16th century and not my strongest subject tbh so i will stop there
4. while europe flopped song dynasty china slayed they did so largely through the export of luxury goods (eg porcelain and silk aka the REASON the silk roads are the silk roads) and through the practice of keeping tributary states this allowed them to make crazy innovations in fields such as papermaking and pyrotechnics (which wasnt even used for war at first it was some scholars trying to findlike the elixir of immortality or something, bc that is just how much free time they had since they were in a prosperous state, and then theywere like Hey this blows up)
5. just as islam spread to south asia (and africa, which led to the establishment of centers of islamic learning in places such as the malmuk sultanate in what is now timbuktu which in turn led to the preservattion of information in fields such as medicine math and i want to say astronomy?), buddhism spread to china, syncretizing with the old belief system of confucianism to create neo-confucianism, which emphasized filial piety and education but also led to spread of patriarchal values, as can be seen in the practice of foot binding, in which high class women literally got their feet bound and it was super painful (badly explained LORD i have tto review that after this). additionally, many aspects of buddhism were altered in this spread to china: the term meaning "man supports wife" was altered to mean "man controls wife," and the form that took popularity was not the traditional theravada form but the mahayana one, which included the veneration of deities

Thought process behind SOAB and a bit on Amity Park and the Ghosts
Something I found interesting in a lot of Harry Potter and Danny Phantom fics is the lack of focus on Amity Park itself even early on ,we just immediately move to the wizarding world in England and Scotland. I have a time period where I want Danny and Harry to meet. (It’s 3rd year)
Amity Park is weird is not a new thing but the impact of it helped with the concept of the Blur/Glitch/Blip with how I wanted to see this weird ass town and how it makes it impossible for people to be detected for magic in both good and bad ways, just spiralled and evovled.
It was a simple thing and it would make sense but things and ideas just jumped from it and including that was the Witch community in Amity Park which I reckon would be a decent size, epecially in a country like America. All because I thought to myself with how big Amity Park is there was bound to be mroe than a few witches here and there. And with the natural blur in memories and magic, it was bound to mean there was people who lived or currently living in a place where magic couldn’t be detected and MAN did that have potential, especially for a future story and how it could connect with Canon.
But I also had concerns about how Danny himself and how he might appear OOC or Harry and the others. Like with his accident and him being MUCH younger at eleven might seem like a stretch at times.
So I decided for a complete rewrite but I knew rewritting it wasn’t the only issue. It was what I was going to keep, edit or just move on. We all know about Skulker and Technus and those episodes while fun didn’t interest me or I find suited the wider story, not to mention I already have around 103890 words for this fic currently (as of CH15)
It also meant any romantic endeavour will be held back on and rather trauma and other pyschological aspects explored upon.
Because of that it made sense to focus on worldbuilding and character development, which was partially why I wanted to do the rewrite.
I wanted to focus on episodes and build on character developments and story beats that would’ve been interesting to delve into. Like Sidney Pointdexter and Dora, since they had a friendship going in Regin Storm I wanted to incoporate in that early
Or in Sidney’s episode rewrite the conclusion and moral into something a lot more satisfying and fitting. Because of how hypocritcally the original moral was from both Sam and Sidney. Rather “Where do you draw the line.” Seems more appropriate, a warning, how far are you willing to go and where should you draw the line.
I also wanted for the ghosts to have a world beyond just Danny and their own friendships and dynamics going. We haven’t really gotten to that yet but we will soon.
It was one of the things I was working in during my hiatus too, as well as something I’m suprised hasn’t been even considered in regards to Ghosts and Harry Potter but just like the witches the Ghosts will have their own stories and lives to tell, if they lived them.
Along with any other potential Allies in the Zone and while a lot of time the mundane perspective might be ignored I hope I can do a storyline that might cover something a little different.
I also didn’t want Danny to purely just a be a hero, but just a kid trying his damned best to keep existing, keeping a bit more of his inital reluctance and is why he tries to make peace with his demons partially so they’ll leave him alone.
Since I am going to spend some time in Amity Park, I also wanted to show a world beyond Hogwarts and use Amity Park as means to do so with its secret witch community. I have no plans of them overshadowing the main cast, rather I want them to show a different perspective and story beyond what is known. Along with the different ways magic can be seen and viewed.
Like Felicia Corey for instance as a magical leader, she’s not Dumbledore but she is a foil in ways not obvious yet. She honestly could have gone onto greener pastures due to her talent and abilities, but because of her connection and dedication to Amity Park, she stays for the people and her duty there. She just an unoffical secret Mayor who helps people with their day to day business, is in her 70s and is herself helpless depsite her power in the face of many of the ghosts.
Or Ovid Baines just a guy who escaped the war in Britian and is just trying his best to be a music teacher and secretly teach kids in secret about magic, despite the limitations.
Point is I want to enhance but not completely overwhelm or bog down the place with OCs nor creating them simply to make them centre stage. There will be interludes with them but they are there simply to build ideas and introduce future plot elements.

High school students hit every note during Limestone Music Celebration
On Wednesday, more than 400 Limestone District School Board students gathered at Queen’s University to partake in the Limestone Music Celebration, an event aimed at fostering a deeper interest in music beyond the confines of high school education.
“Music teachers from across Limestone have gotten together to plan a day of collaboration, bringing students together and share the magic of music-making and all of the wonderful things that brings with it,” Kristen Martin from Sydenham High School said.
This event marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind, drawing inspiration from a similar event called Music Monday dating back to 2007. For some educators, the day represents a full-circle moment.
