A lovely commission my friend @arabriddler did for me. It features my version of Edward Nygma (Catieverse) and my best friend @lunar-scapes DC OC Donnie (who I've integrated into my verse) This is after Edward and Donnie retire to the little snow town away from Gotham City Edward took over in his early years. They live in a cabin secluded from the town, but close enough that they can drive in for dates and the necessities. That being said when Edward retires from being The Riddler he doesn't retire from working in general. He uses his typical alias of Dr. Percy Newsome and teaches at the local university in his town. I like to think this photo is Edward coming home from work with Donnie there to greet him. They are very happy with how their lives have ended up. Answer visits frequently with her wife, Juniper Isley, and their little daughter Saffron who Donnie and Edward spoil endlessly.

OC Salarea-Part 1

Salarea:

Age-21

Sex-Female

Clan-Lunar

Race-Rontier, "Demon"

When Salarea was born she was loved dearly by her parents and they lived together in perfect harmony until Salarea's 5th birthday. This is the day that the demon that had possessed her since the day she was born. It was not able to awaken because before she reached 5 she did not have enough life energy to support the demon. On her 5th birthday the demon was awoken, Salarea screamed in pain and thrashed around writhing in agaony. Her body felt hot and her veins boiled. She was changing back and forth between her 3 forms and a new form she had never seen before. Her parents ran into her room and saw what their daughter had become. Salarea had changed into something unknown to this world. And she was not fully in control of herself either, she lunged at her parents and lashed out. She ran out and started going after the towns people. Because she was so young she was able to be restrained but her parents were horrified by the "Beast" their daughter had become. Out of pure disgust, rage, and fright they disowned their daughter and abandoned her in some nearby woods. As a rontier Salarea was able to hunt food and find shelter but she was only 5 and in very much pain from everything. She wasn't able to last very long before she collapsed in the cold forest. Dazed and barely breathing she saw a figure above her and faded out of consciousness assuming this was her last moment alive. When she woke up she was out of the cold and inside a warm comfortable house. She was startled and jumped up from the bed. She saw that she had bandages on her wrists, was wearing a night gown much different from the clothes she remembers wearing, and an eyepatch that seemed to have something wet underneath it. Her wrists pulsed with throbbing pain, and her eye under the eyepatch felt weird, she felt like her blood was alive. She looked around and saw a boy sitting in the corner of the room. She was very frightened and panicked. She had assumed that the boy was there to kill her as everyone else had tried to. She tried to open the doors but it was locked, she was trapped. She started panicking and started shifting between forms again, the boy didn't seem startled at all, but Salarea had not realized the other man in the room who was behind her. The man covered her with a bag and started walking out. Salarea struggled and faught but she was to weak to fight. She was so scared and eventually she was brought into a room and was quickly injected with some kind of drug that made her much more calm. She changed back into her human state and she was then tied to a chair. She looked up to see multiple people and then the drug took over her faster than she could fight it, and she passed out.

A few others, even some wondering about what will happen, were also waiting. They knew the battle here was going to be intense but they were already getting paired up due to it. One that was near by named Jun akumushi was checking something as he walks in looking around. He held something in his left hand but adjusted the back pack on his right shoulder.

"Lady Luck?" Edward purred, bringing the poker chip up to Donnie's striking red lips. He purposely chose a black one for this exact purpose.

Donnie understood her reason for being there. She let her lips press against the chip warmed by Edward's fingers. When she pulled away she smiled at the bright red mark against the chips sheen.

A Peaceful Meeting... Mostly.

Robes sweep the floor, and the king takes their seat. "So. Clearly this meeting is important, you feel angry." Most would comment on the scent of anger, but it's nigh impossible for another to scent the anger under the positive aura unless they know Delphinium well. 

"You know well why I am angry." Gold-tipped cape turns to gesturing wing, many eyes glaring golden into the king's darkness. 

"Now, now, is that my fault? I am simply staking my claim over what I see fit to, dearest... Mm, what is that name you use... Larkspur." Its smile curls cruelly. It knows that isn't the right name. Neither is Delphinium, after all, but mortals aren't allowed to know of Aurous, Fallen Guardian of Positivity, alongside Alaric, Shattered Guardian of Negativity. 

"Delphinium," sol corrects with a hiss, venom on solar tongue, long fingers curling into fists on the table. "You know better, and it is your fault. Are we not supposed to keep a balance, here?" 

"Dear, dear..." Acacia shifts tongues, a low, discordant hum filling the room that only Delphinium can interpret. "The multiverse will sway and succumb to darkness as all does, as day does to night, as sparks fall silent, as flames consume themselves. This you must know for yourself, Aurous." 

Four eyes narrow, lower wings lifting behind an already intimidating figure as a higher hum layers over the original sound, and the others in the room put their hands to their skulls as the air sings the broken, disfigured tune that once would have been soothing. "As night turns to day and shifting frees sparks to brighten flame, as darkness is fragile against light. There is always a balance, one cannot exist without the other." 

With that they both fall silent, and in one seat a doodle shakes itself, lines wobbling before solidifying with a small 'pop!'. "Why try and hold a balance in a place like this? I mean, the multiverse is a mess, what is positivity and negativity anyway, it's all just a bunch of nonsense. And if you're gonna rattle my skull like that again leave me out of it, haha." 

"Silence yourself, Doodleboy," snaps the king, gaze snapping to the now-steady lines of Artemis. "I wouldn't expect you to understand something so delicate." 

"Mmm, suit yourself bossman," he shrugs, laughing and munching on his frozen paint snack. 

"Don' understand how ya eat that," Corvid mutters, side-eyeing Artemis as a raven hops on his shoulder, wings fluttering lightly. Artemis shrugs, then takes a comically large bite out of it, much to Corvid's dismay. 

"Anyway," Delphinium speaks up, drawing Acacia's attention again, "the balance should be maintained, and I'm going to have to ask that you stand down, lest another battle become necessary." 

"Dream on, dearest Delphinium, and dreams they will remain. I will take as I please. Meeting adjourned. The Skeletal Syndicate will now take our leave, thank you." Dripping, rootlike appendages gather up the rest of the Syndicate, and with one last glance, Acacia and his team are gone.
